Music Helping to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, this is the Constitution study on the America Out Loud Network with your host Paul Engel. We all have our own priorities. The best way to examine them is not by what we say but by what we do. That's just as true for government actors as this for individuals. Hello there, everyday Americans, Paul Engel here with the Constitution study where we read and study the Constitution, teacher I can generate to be free glad you could join me today. I tell the story frequently when I work back at I worked at IBM and we got a new manager and if you ever worked in corporate in America, you know, there's kind of a process right he gets everybody together and you have meetings we'd have one-on-one meetings and you know it was funny because shortly after the introductions he asked me if I had any questions I said no not really.

He thought that was odd. I said I don't know you yet. I don't know how to judge what you say I'm much more interested in what you do. That led to an interesting conversation and also led to a call a year later where he asked me what Paul it's been a year. How am I doing? Because I do I judge people on what they do not what they say now this works really really good in politics because how can tone of politicians line. Their lips are moving. So I want to take a look at some of the things been going on and see what priorities do we people actually have. So for example the Senate recently passed legislation to protect college athletes name image and likeness including limiting exemptions for the NCAA when it comes to antitrust exemptions. I look at this kind of interesting so it's because you've got this kind of dichotomy between amateur sport and the people that are running the amateur sports.

Now I don't follow a college ball although I stopped watching professional football years ago and I've never really got into the college game although I do watch a little bit of it. But think about it you've got colleges and universities and and networks making billions and billions of dollars off of the the skill and the likeness of these athletes. They're selling jerseys they're selling their image and by rule they can't you know they don't they don't have control over their likeness it's basically controlled by by the company. So the the athlete is supposed to be an amateur and not make any money but the colleges that they play for are raking in the box. Now as I understand this this protect college sports act of 2026 would require that these name image and likeness agreements for colleges that these institutions cannot prohibit a student from making these agreements for their name image and likeness.

It also would mandate out of pocket medical coverage for sports related individuals or injuries this is a level one schools and some other things. So again college sports. Now here's what I find interesting about this it's again I'm not a huge college sports fan I know a lot of people are. But this was the priority of the United States Senate. Now I'm not saying it's something that doesn't need to be dealt with I'm not saying there were some some legal issues many of which created by Congress that need to be dealt with here but we've got a what 41 trillion dollar deficit. We have a an ongoing conflict with Iran that's been driving up the the cost of energy fuel and I just drove a truck I had to go up to New York to empty out my father's storage units so I had a big old you all truck I had to drive home and boy I never thought I'd be happy to see $4 a gallon gas and I got down south it's crazy.

We got the whole thing with with flock and facial recognition again all of these things are serious concerns especially they're going to have an impact on on the midterms right data centers and all these things. Congress decides to spend its time on college sports again it's not what you say it's what you do but again most of what Congress does is unconstitutional anyway so yet maybe if they spent their time just naming airports and and post offices and less time you know messing with our rights maybe we'd be happier overall. It leaves a room for the states to do what they're going to do for example governor Avenue of Texas ordered the Texas environmental agency to stop issuing permits for data centers until an audit is completed.

In a statement governor Avenue says simply put Texans must come first dandruff centers must pay their own way protect our grid and water and complete the ERCOT and TWDB audit sets the electrical reliability council of Texas and the Texas water development board they are currently auditing the use of these data centers now again I've said all along it's a data centers there's a lot of history about data centers. Much of what is which is not it's not real right it's it's fear mongering yes data centers demand a lot of electricity. The the ERCOT the electrical reliability council Texas estimates that they're going to need about 475 gigawatts of power for the new data centers that are that are currently being asked for. 575 gigawatts of that's what they're going to need that is 5 times the states record peak high this is a lot of power and again data centers consume a lot of power they're very power dense.

I tried to explain this way when I started working data centers this is 30 years ago. And average server right you think of a server farm an average server was about seven and a half inches high and had 150 what 175 watt power supplies when I left working in data centers this is going to be what the five six years ago a standard server was inches be quarters high and 500 watt power supplies meaning it got one fifth the size and consumes three times the power that's very energy dense you put a lot of power in a small area that's the biggest concern because again they need power and most data centers want power from two different sources. Now the history over water to me is over blown because most data centers I've ever worked in they don't consume much water. They they require a charge of water when you first build them there's water that goes into the systems you know kind of like feeling a swimming pool right when you first get a swimming pool you got to bring in a lot of water to fill the swimming pool once it's full you only have to top it up every once in a while that's kind of way that most data centers work.

There's ideas of your millions of gallons of day no there's no data center is going to spend that type of money but I agree the data centers should quote unquote pay their own way meaning and this is in discussions I've had locally with state answer with county and local officials is what we need is if a data center we've got no plan for data center but everyone wants to come in they have to pay for the infrastructure to bring the power in. And they have to meter in limit the amount of water they consume it's very simple it's part of the zone of you zone industrial where there's where their noise won't be a problem you require as a part of the permit the infrastructure to bring in power and I by the I wouldn't just say data center I said anything the consumes a large amount of electricity should fund the infrastructure for that shouldn't be the rest of the other customers if you want to bring it up. And something that's going to bring in use 10 20 30 gigawatts then you should pay for the infrastructure and that water should be meter limited it's fairly simple.

I but I find Texas very concerned about this and Texas not replace my little kind of put a moratorium in place even though we don't have any data center proposals at the moment but this has been a lot of things but they're being done based on audits and I'm kind of curious if Texas is going to release the audit results when they come out what they actually find. So again think about is that more of a concern than maybe you know the likeness of a of a of a player of a player you know sport college athlete while we're at it to go grab it has also declared a disaster over diesel prices. Now as I mentioned I'd recently drove a truck from upstate New York down to where I live in Tennessee it was a gasoline truck. I was kind of happy about that because well gasoline prices were about to 250 cheaper than diesel prices. I have no idea how the high diesel prices are just insane the natural average I think is like $6.50 a gallon somewhere up around there that's that's a lot to pay for diesel fuel.

I mean I'm old enough to remember when diesel fuel was actually cheaper than gasoline back when the shoes most super trucks course that change when they started coming out with diesel cars and of course it's not just it's not just trucks and you think about farmers and ranchers and everybody that have all this large equipment all of which runs on diesel which is very very very expensive. Now what does this mean in this declaration of a disaster well one of the things that most people don't realize is that there's a there's a road tax on all the fuel you buy and number two fuel which is diesel fuel. If you don't use it on the road then you don't have to pay the tax and the distinguish between over the road fuel and agricultural fuel they die the agricultural fuel red well that's what this declaration is all about it's allowing people to sell red died fuel for over the road use and those they're basically taxes is waving the road tax.

But it also waves some of the emission requirements for diesel fuels so you know this again this is the state level so you're talking state road taxes state emission levels we're saying listen we're going to be able to take the make they want to make more diesel available to help push the price is down because it's impacting everything I mean the deliveries of your Amazon the delivery to your grocery store everything you buy is transported by truck and then I'll diesel fuel. So again this expenses hitting a lot of people in a lot of places and the fact is that listen this guy's so bad he's declaring a disaster and now they're waving so the rules which tells you something else that part of the problem in the price of diesel fuel are the taxes and regulations on it. Now again I'm old enough to remember when you go to a gas station with where they had the price of gasoline they'd have the price of the actual gasoline and then the state and local and federal taxes that were added on top of it you got to see how much of the gas you were paid at the pump was actually just taxes going to a government and it was not that was not that long after I started driving that most states outlawed that they actually made illegal for a gas station to tell you how much you're actually paying in taxes.

Again priorities yeah priority seems to be show me the money. Now again it's not just states Donald Trump is considering what he's a diesel export Ben he's been talking about this for a while and this is very interesting on a couple of reasons one is like all oil like all these fuels the there's a worldwide a global market that impacts prices. The fact that in the United States we produce a lot of our own fuel the problem is it's a it's impacted by foreign market so you know where let's say the price for diesel fuel is it cost you five dollars here but because you can sell that five dollar diesel in Europe for seven dollars or eight dollars well a lot of it ends up over there and Donald Trump's considering it's saying what if we band. The export of diesel fuel. What if we stop that that way you know we could regulate our own prices and I understand there's a little bit of logic to this.

I mean if we stop selling diesel fuel overseas that makes more of a bit available here in the US more supply would drive down the prices. It would also decouple us from some of the events going on around the world but like by the way the conflict in Iran and in Ukraine but it also would have a negative impact on a lot of our allies because now their prices are going to go up their prices are buffered by our less expensive fuel how much of an impact it would actually have I don't know I'm not an expert on this I'm not sure what the impact would be. But again what we see our governor Abbott present Trump they're now trying to see well you know what we're worried about. We're worried about fuel prices why these are what are called pocketbook issues. There are issues that hit people in the park every time you drive down the street and you look at that gas station you have that big you know four dollar gallon gas and six dollar gallon diesel fuel you're reminded of what's going on in the street of hormones and the impact and the

impact and to a lesser extent although Trump has been talking about lately the war in Ukraine because they're blowing up each other's diesel supply but the big thing is this is the sort of he moves and the conflict with Iran that Donald Trump initiated which of course means well now he expected to be held accountable in the mid in the midterm elections for the the the the fighting in Iran and the high prices which is a lot of people are expecting will lead to Republicans losing a lot more seats in the in the election because of this issue which explains why governors in the president are focusing on the price of diesel. Okay listen I have a break coming up and you know one of the interesting things my wife wants me around a while and part of the living a good life is getting a good night sleep that thankfully I generally sleep pretty well I don't usually have a problem but there are some days there's some nights my mind just want to talk I can't fall asleep.

Not sure I could reach for a hormone like melatonin or pharmaceutical and I'd fall asleep but there's concerns right I can if I use this a lot I can disrupt my sleep wake cycle my hormone balance I can become dependent. only when the government boughs to the people will America become great again for this is not about here join me in pushing back against censorship my fellow Americans right at the top of America out loud dot news are the words any voices one freedom united in the first to men now is our time my fellow Americans America out loud dot news liberty and justice for all welcome back every American to rejoin the Constitution say they were examining priorities is something I like to do ever so often in my life in in the work we're doing here the Constitution study what are our priorities now we took a look at the first first segment about the priorities of congress and well some of the states dealing some of the issues what are the issues that Congress finds important to

apparently they find protecting a college athletes very important not so much dealing with other issues in our nation but now want to take a look at some of the other things are going on for example New York state I lived in New York state most of my life and I think I got a pretty good handle on what they're there their their priorities would be or should be based on on their history now one of the things one of the priorities I've seen spec from the state of New Yorkies from the government is this attempt to well rip people off under the guys of protecting the climate they for example the Senate the legislature of New York past eight what they call the climate super climate change super fund act basically it's an attempt to rip off 75 billion dollars from companies that will deal with what are called fossil fuels in order to spend that money on pet projects that are supposedly supposed to save us from the ravages of climate change which really haven't happened unless you're basically a climate

country where everything is climate change now as I said the goal of this super fund act was to collect 75 billion dollars from fuel companies allegedly for the damages caused by carbon dioxide and climate change right so if you were a large company of course they focus on large companies and you extracted oil or natural grass gas group well then they wanted you to pay they wanted to extract you in money into a fund and that the the the share that you would pay would really be based on well how much alleged greenhouse gas emissions could be attributed to your product between the years 2000 to 2024 now again there's a little bit of a problem here see this most definitely a violation of the 14th amendment because it's deprived of these companies of their money without due process of law so no one said anything they've done is actually there's been no legal finding that what they've done is wrong there's no legal finding that says oh your product causes damage and oh yeah this is all a fever dream by the climate apologists and the climate of devotees and they're stated in New York is just more than willing to go along and well help them rip off the rest of the country by making things more expensive by having to pay for this thing that for something they did it is not illegal and is not wrong

now a federal judge has put a halt to this he's he said nope that law is is unconstitutional I didn't see a report on to why how he found it unconstitutional but I will tell you that the Department of Justice and Environmental Protection Agency both sue to block the law did they block the law because of violated the 14th amendment no no no they sued because they claimed that the clear act clear air act clean air act gives EPA the authority to decide how to regulate greenhouse gas emissions well first of all the clean air act has nothing to do with carbon dioxide greenhouse gases second of all the EPA no regulating the environment is not and protecting the environment is not a power delegate to the United States so the whole thing is a beat is is a big um unconstitutional dumpster fire shall we say and but based on that they said New York states law could not they could not create their own liability because of the supremacy clause

because federal law is supreme but they forget that it's only laws made pursuant to the Constitution of the United States and the Clean Air and I the Clean Air Act or the act creating the EPA were actually made pursuant to the Constitution of the United States actually violate the Constitution of the United States so yeah it's kind of a win but it's as I so often happens it's kind of a win for the wrong reasons meanwhile over in Maryland well you see that to where their priorities is well violating the second amendment she is Maryland past a law that is attempt to ban they call them well it's called a Glock band the way the law reads is is any weapon that they believe can be turned quickly into a machine gun it cannot be sold or owned in the state of Maryland now again the problem you have with defining a machine gun machine guns are not illegal let me say again machine guns are not illegal you can legally buy a machine gun you have to go through an extra background check you have to pay an extra tax

but machine guns are legal think you can get them legally however Maryland again focusing on the wrong thing IE the gun so well this is is too easy to switch over I've never actually modified a Glock or an AR 15 or something to have a an auto seer now those two were fired repeatedly from the single pull of a trick I've I have had a trigger modified not to that extent I just made it cleaned it up a little bit right I wanted to break a little easier but again we have okay this is the Maryland does doesn't like the second amendment it doesn't like the fact that the citizens can have the same type of firepower that the police in the military do so there was people sued not really a surprise well a judge was asked to issue an injunction to prevent the Maryland law from going into effect until the case has been heard the judge has denied that temporary injunction preventing the Maryland law from going to affect the case I still believe is going forward

the badther is versus more I believe is the name of the case and we'll have to wait and see what the facts come out in court but the Maryland law can go into effect while we're waiting for or rating for the law the case is to say to make it through the court system and while we're let's head over to California or as I like to call it Kami for any because let's face it this point California is about as close to a communist state as you can get now we've dealt before California's already had this craziness with vehicles I understand I was around in the 70s when you know you had pollution and smog was real problem in LA and they tried to clean up the air but they've gone they've gone crazy now get first we have the environment to protection agency this unlaw illegal unconstitutional invalid agency that claims the ability to protect the environment even though there's no constitutional threat and they tried to set nationals but for some reason they keep cating these waivers for Kami for you and this tells you all you need to know I think about the people running the EPA

so you know for example the in 2009 they gave the lot California have a waiver to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles now 2022 the Biden administration reinstated part of the waiver didn't for small off road engines in other words California wants to be the only apparently the only state in the nation that the federal government said you know what we get to decide what type of cars you drive we get to decide whether or not you can run a gas lawnmower we get to control your lives hence mere for to them as Kami for you because it's like it's like Soviet Russia it's communist China the government gets to tell you how to live your life now again they they've applied it now to what they call spark ignition engines of 25 horsepower or less that basically means every small motorized product you have a lawnmower, a weed lacquer, a chainsaw, a power washer all of this now

comes under unique state regulations in the state and only in the state of Kami for you. Now of course they've used this because again gasoline is evil in their mind they want you to use get they want you to use electric power devices right they want you to electric lawnmower and electric weed lacquer and all that. Of course the problem is California doesn't have the electrical infrastructure to power all these electric appliances much less electric vehicles they want but they will not approve the improvements to the infrastructure the the extra grid capacity much less the generation capacity to actually power all of this stuff. So what I see is California's priority is this mythical belief that the gasoline is going to kill us all and that they have the authority to tell everybody in the state how they should live their lives not again not for the impact on others you just not allowed to do that because well we know better than you do.

Now listen if you want to buy an electric lawnmower electric weed lacquer a chainsaw be like yes I don't care right I have an electric weed lacquer because well it made more sense for me but I still got a gas powered lawnmower because well I got about five acres of lawn that needs to be mown in electrical and just doesn't cut the mustard if you don't I mean besides I've always going to run electric lawnmowers try to get electric riding lawnmower I don't even know if they make such a critter. But there's an interesting quiz to this because California I find it very interesting the EPA provide special car vows only for California but those rules don't apply to me here in Tennessee why because I'm not in California. This ladies and gentlemen's called federalism federalism is not the power of the federal government is the fact you have a federation of states you have individual states that have their own rules some can be crazy and stupid some not so stupid. And the people get to decide where they go I didn't move from New York to California I move from New York to Tennessee because of the rules because the laws yes taxes were lower but mainly because of the laws and regulations right I didn't want a state that will tell me what type of car I could drive how I couldn't

in some of the you know how to drive an older car right they want you to because the gas mileage well guess what I run cars into the ground the car I just got I just bought a used car the car had before that was a 2011 and I just got rid of this year so it's 15 years old and it's still running fine. And in fact the car I bought it's actually a used car I bought off a family member I'm going to run that thing into the ground I don't buy cars every few years because they don't make sense it makes no financial sense to me same reason I didn't move to Maryland right because I like the second amendment I like my right to keep in bear arms and I don't want some government telling me that this arm is okay but that arm is not the right to keep in bear arms is the right to keep in bear arms not the right to keep bear arms that governments don't think are. Too dangerous for to allow the civilians to have if the government has them everyone else should have them that's what the second amendment was all about protecting ourselves from tyranny.

And again that comes down to you know what are our priorities are our priorities to have some government bureaucrat take care of us I mean how often you've heard people say the government's job general's purposes to protect us that's not what the declaration of independence says it says that we create a government to secure our rights not to secure us but if your priorities are having government protect you well then you've basically enslaved yourself to government you've sat back and said I'm going to let government decide for me government rules you created a socialist is to be a where the government rules everything not compare that with liberty right then and independence where I'm responsible for myself and what I need the government to do is make sure my rights are an infringed upon whether that be my freedom of speech. Freedom of press freedom of security from unreasonable searches and seizures to not lose due process they're all about protecting my right to take care of myself so I ask you what are your priorities are your priorities be taken care of or to take care of yourself to be independent and take care of yourself or to be dependent to be enslaved to be bought and purchased.

I think a lot of people say they want to be free but when I see what they choose what they actually do what they vote for they see much more interested in being dependent on others to having their rights and friends upon in order to take care of them and well if that's your priorities well done a free country's not what you're interested in. Okay I have a break coming up before I go though you know you have a lot of choices to make you have a choice of well who you do business with you have a choice with whether or not you're going to buy certain products and services and it really matters who you do business with now a lot of people say well yeah you should buy American okay that's fine the question is are the companies you doing business with spending their profits to protect your rights or doing fringe in your right. See there are several companies I don't do business with it I don't buy their products I don't buy their services why well because they in fringe on my rights that seems to be their goal.

Now one company I joined company I started doing business with the years ago Patriomobile did I join them because their America's only Christian serving of wilders provider no Zalini did it. Did I join them because they're great 4G and 5G coverage no did I join them because they're 100% US based customer. Welcome back every American to rejoin the constitution study day we're examining our priorities is something I think we should do ever so often and I want to close out today looking at our parties when it comes to elections. There's been an interesting battle royale going on out in california and involves a sheriff Chad Bianco who do in order to affect an investigation into allegations of fraudulent activity in the November 25 special election confiscated a bunch of ballots that had been cast written malice have been cast in order to promote his investigation now he did obtain a search in order to collect this information and the search warrant does say you know what could be searched and hopefully what can be seized that's what the allegations well the California Supreme Court said hang on a second state law prohibits the seizure of those documents.

Now I understand it the question was never whether or not the sheriff had the authority to search through is where who maintains custody of the documents now what's in the start out with the with the long with court the Supreme court found section 155551 a makes voted ballots subject to a court order at least in a contested election or a criminal prosecution. Now what the justice said that a search warrant is not a prosecution that's why the documents needed to remain in the custody of the the state election board. Now governor Newsom did sign Senate bill 1418 which would have changed this a little bit but he did that five days before the opinion was released right meaning this wasn't the middle of the case. This is probably between oral arguments and the decision it does expand the selection of elected records and certified data to the to be subject but again is a prosecution is a search warrant as part of an investigation part of a prosecution or not again you know I think there's a lot of ways we could read this again I'm not that familiar with California.

I'm not familiar with California voting law I understand the desire to maintain maintain chain of custody but I would think if there's a an investigation into a criminal prosecution that would fall into law but again I'm not familiar with the details law so there's only so much I can say what I do find interesting is the way some of this has been spun so for example some of the press referred to this as a shutdown of rogue law enforcement wait a second if law enforcement is in the middle of a criminal investigation and they got a search warrant how is that rogue law enforcement. On the other hand you could say well this is an attempt to stifle an investigation into potential voting abnormalities which again what are the priorities I'm again if you're from California and you have some more insight hey please let me know give me you know contact me at the website

constricted.com or america loud.news and and let me know if there's information I don't have here I'd more than happy to share that but from what I've seen to me it's an interesting question I do want the chain of custody protected when it comes to ballots that have already that have been cast and counted the quest or cast period but the question is is the chain of custody include investigation for pet attention to the potential crimes is that a valid reason for the chain of custody to include law enforcement as long as law enforcement maintains their own chain of custody of these documents and eventually they return back to whatever legal storage there that the state of California requires them to have not necessarily the easiest of questions and certainly one that I would think would be concerning especially if you happen to live in California and you happen to live in the county where the chef says we have

concerned we're investigating fraudulent voting and now we're being told that they can't search the data they can't they just can't remove it as I understand it the opinion of the court was you can search those files you just can't remove them from their storage. Let's take a look out in New Jersey now I reported earlier there were some 6600 non-citizens found on New Jersey's voting roles and of course that's a concern because according to the New Jersey Constitution only those were citizens of the United States are allowed to vote in New Jersey. I've talked about this multiple times before well apparently two non-citizens have now been charged with both illegally voting in a federal election and making false statements going to apply for US citizenship. One is a Jamaican national one's a Venezuela national and I find this interesting so again Congress can set the time place in manner of elections there's nothing in the Constitution of the United States that gives the federal election.

The United States that gives the federal government the authority to determine you cannot be denied the right to vote but there's nothing in the Constitution that says you have to be a citizen in order to vote that's in the Constitution of each and every state. So I'm a little dubious about this federal election law because again the Constitution puts elections primarily in the hands of state. Congress can change the time place in manner but only elections are housed in Senate and first of all there's no such thing as a federal election. I should say the people don't vote in federal elections only federal election is when the presidential electors vote in each of their states. Every other election the ones that the people actually voted are state elections even for House and Senate because those are those are offices appointed to each state. They're given to the states the states fulfill them that's a state election. So there's that issue there but again they've also gotten this for making false statements in an application for US citizenship.

Not again is two non citizens voting in New Jersey a big deal in that state. I don't think so is it going to swing the election somehow maybe it did in a local election but you're not certainly in a election for a federal office. But again we have to get back to this idea of how much infection will we allow before we deal with it you get a cut in your hand how infected you let it get before you actually put an insectic on it right. How long do you let infection go before you before you again get antibiotics for it's the concern that I have. But again I'm glad that I'm glad there's only two. I'm concerned that the new Jersey has 6600 people who are registered to vote who are not citizens United States of course New Jersey. Blames a software error when the software coming I've covered this before says no no we told you exactly what's going on we warned you about this you decided to move forward with this even though we warned you about this so yeah it's I think this lean.

Right New Jersey lap but again I'm glad it's only two but two is too many and I'm glad they're being prosecuted even if you've got this question of federal elections. At the meantime the Department of Justice back on September 28th said that it got guilty pleas for 12 people across the United States for various election related crimes. Now looking at these these are mostly non citizens false claiming citizenship to register to vote or making false claim or voting you know as an alien many of them involved making false claims on their request to for US citizenship and again 12 across the country hey I'm glad it's only 12. But again I'm still glad that that they've been caught and that they've been they've they've played guilty in other words they figured out that whether with a new so beforehand they figured this out my question is how does this impact their future citizenship status.

Now let's break these two apart let's say that you voted when you were not a citizen well the question is did you provide false information to register to vote or was it a simple mistake like in New Jersey where you are registered to vote even though you were into citizen because the state didn't do a very good job. In which case you got a notice of hey you're registered to vote here and you simply want to did it that is not the that they don't have the mens rea the the the bad mind. You are trying to do something here now in the other hand if you made false statements on your citizenship application. If you knew you were not a citizen and went to rich and you lied about being a citizen to register to vote that is a violation that is a crime that should be dealt with more severely. So if it's determined in a these go see people pled guilty in others it wasn't worked out in court.

They got what was your plea deal you know hey I made a mistake was not a stake. Are they going to be deported are they going to be as their citizenship going to be application be denied because of this. What if you lied about being a citizen in order to vote or you made false claims on your citizenship these are considerations and these are individual situations and I need think they need to be dealt with individual I don't like painting with two broader brush because the details matter. And that to me is is part of the concern is in our rush to deal with the people that are violating the law flagrantly sometimes we harshly punish people who mistakenly violated the law or we punish them more greatly than they really deserve based on the severity of their transgression. We want the punishment to meet the actual crime not the perceived crime. And that to be comes back to a question of priorities is my priority to get people who voted illegally or to make sure that the votes are accurate because we've only got people who are legally allowed to vote.

I was doing an interview the other day we were talking I was talking first about that that you know the Constitution of every state I've checked which right now is about half of them. So you have to be a citizen United States to vote. That gets into a question of well should everybody be allowed to vote in all this and and that's another question we wanted to deal with. But I come back to you know what are our priorities are our priorities to make sure that the people who are legally allowed to vote. Actually have the ability to vote without unnecessary restrictions while we're doing whatever is reasonable to make sure that people who are not legally allowed to vote are prevented from voting. We now have 14 people the 12 of the DOJ has gotten guilty pleased for them and the two that are being that were that have been charged in New Jersey that voted when they weren't legally allowed to again that's a small number I'm glad it's a small number. It's still bigger than I would like anything be love anything beyond zero is more than I would like and there's a certain diminishing return but again.

These people are found they're being dealt with because of priority to me is that elections brief free fair and transparent. Same thing with the thing in California right is it is the sheriff investigating is a lot is his art is investigation a lot of access to the ballots do they have to be in his possession to they have to be in possession of the registrar of elections. I'm that's how we can consider but look at some of the other things right with you know who decides how you live your life who decides what is a priority for Congress right who decides what's a priority for Texas or for the United States who decides and how do they decide. And what about your priorities when it comes to the upcoming election is it a political party is it a support for Donald Trump is the price of gasoline. Where's your priority and again I think we need to examine because our priorities really should be dictating who we vote for now personally I hope your priorities are not political party.

I understand a lot of people vote that way and I understand the logic of some people in this midterm election about not wanting the Democrats to take control of Congress because of all the craziness will happen but again we're seeing kangaroo courts on both sides so. I don't necessarily agree with it I want people whose priorities are there oath to the Constitution and not just some spoken of but their actions behind it. People to claim oh yeah I fulfill my oath to the Constitution as they violate the language of the Constitution the day and in day out my priorities are the Supreme law of the land that's kind of what I do here right makes no next set. But I know not everybody has those priorities and that to me brings in a serious question because if the rule of law is not one of your priorities what is. Because if laws don't mean something based on what they say well does not leave us kind of wide open to what the very the very democracy that our founding fathers were so afraid of they made sure we weren't one they made sure we were a republic that the the winds of of of of the groups could not suddenly overrun your rights and the law that to me is a priority.

Now if your priority is the Constitution well how far are you willing to go so I created a program at the Constitution study called the Patriots program it's not just another patriot group right this is a program for people who are serious about studying and applying the Constitution. It comes in three phases three parts to it education communication and activation education people want deeply reading study the kind they want to go deep on what the Constitution says. What it means and researching what it finds out. The communication how do we know what other groups are doing I'm not trying to replace other groups I'm trying to give them tools and resources and are you interested in that and then activation are you willing to stand up and support people who are fighting for their rights. Now this sounds interesting to you check out the Patriots program at Constitution study dot com slash Patriots it's not for everybody in fact that everybody can even join.
