I needed more from my antidepressant, so my doctor added caplite a luma teperon. Proven to provide greater relief from depression symptoms than an antidepressant alone, building on my progress without starting over. Caplite is for adults with major depressive disorder when used with an antidepressant and is available by prescription only. Individual results may vary. In clinical trials, weight gain was not common. Elderly dementia patients have increased risk of death or stroke. Caplite is not approved for dementia-related psychosis. Call your doctor about new or sudden mood changes, behaviors, or suicidal thoughts right away. Antidepressants may increase these risks. Report fever, confusion, stiff muscles, which may be life-threatening, or uncontrolled muscle movements, which may be permanent. High cholesterol and weight gain may occur, as can high blood sugar, which may be fatal. Monitoring is recommended. Common side effects are sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, feeling tired, and diarrhea. These aren't all the side effects. Ask your doctor about caplite. Ben gives you back-to-back episodes on Castlevania, Belmont's curse, and the new Street Fighter movie. Now, before we get into this, Simon Belmont, I must say. So I love him. OG. I love Simon Belmont. And it's not because I ever fuck with Castlevania like that. It's because there was a cartoon. Back in the day. And the cartoon was about this kid that got pulled into the Nintendo game. Oh, of Castlevania. No, it wasn't of Castlevania. It was just pulled into a Nintendo world period. And the people that were in the Nintendo world that were on his side, that were his friends, that he was fighting against the evil forces, were Simon Belmont, mega man, and a couple of the- But it was a cartoon with all the Nintendo characters.

Yeah, it was a TV show. It was a TV show. Can I remember the name of it? At the beginning, he was like, on his couch, he was playing the- playing the deal. And did he get- It's an end game master? Captain in the game master. He got Ace of Cod into the- Oh, it's like a cartoon. He's like, you're writing a game- Are you writing a game boy? Captain in the game master. And right there, and Captain in the game master. Right. That guy right there, that Simon Belmont. Okay. Simon Belmont's in the game. I've never heard of this. Wait, that Simon Belmont, the adventure man with the whip? Yes, that Simon Belmont. That's the whip. That's Simon Belmont. That's Simon Belmont. He was in there. Captain in the game master. Okay. The captain in the game. He was a crazy- Captain in. Captain in the- Captain in. Captain in. That's right. Alright. He was wipping- Captain in the game master. He was wipping Captain in the game. Oh, wait. Captain in the game master. I don't know. We got our hashtags there. Captain in the game master. Master. They were-

What's your name? What's your name? What's your name? Captain in the game master. They were playing their face, bro. That was their- We didn't even get it. I was around it probably like being in-ceptin' into race. Like the same thing like, you know, you playing with the Duce of Hazard Car, you watching Captain in the game master, then the next thing you know- Can you watch the- Was the boat crazy? Um, okay. Alright. But yeah, Ben's gonna do that. So, shall I sign the Belmont who's in Captain in the game master? And the Street Fighter movie, which is coming out, which- Are we gonna do that? I don't know. I think so. Maybe we might do that. Okay. We should do the Digger episode as well. I think so too. We don't want to do the Digger episode. Alright. We should do the Digger episode. But today's episode, we ain't doing none of that. No ins, no master, no diggers, no niggers. Today, this episode is brought to you by The Home Depot. Today's episode we react to the two episode premiere of Vision West. We're going to be spoiling a lot of things. Guys, we're going to spill some stuff from shows gone past. We're going to spill some stuff from this show. So, one division, Agatha, all along.

One division, Agatha. Age of Ultron. Age of Ultron. I, man. Age of Ultron. He was in all of the shit, okay? Steve, give me a spoiler warning. We're getting ready to talk about Vision West. You're listening to a reaction podcast. The spoilers are coming. Okay. To begin our reactions, we bring you the Midnight Manifest talking about the need to know. Now, guys, this is going to be robust. This is two episodes. So stay with Charles for a little while. Check it out. All right. This is your Midnight Manifest or Vision Quest. The first two episodes directed by Christopher J. Burnin' Written by Terry Madeless. White Vision works in an old Edinburgh pub that the original Vision used to frequent with Wanda. Our new Vision has none of the emotional maturity or lived experience of the old Vision just his body and memories. To help bridge the gap, Vision has constituted a family of A.I.'s and sighted brains to help him understand human emotions better. This family is comprised of Jarvis, Edith,

Friday, Dummy, U, and Ultron. When Vision watches a movie of his old life, he's met with an unwelcome film of Wanda Vision, which forces him to confront his imprisoned father and last A.I. Ultron. Left to his own devices, Ultron gives a Pilate in information on Vision's whereabouts, which leads to the death of Yona the Pub owner. From there, Vision is pulled into a game of cat and mouse as the paladin, kidnaps his potential son, Tommy, a spacer and con man living in London who struggles with his newfound powers and memories of being the son of Scarlett Witch and the Vision. In the second episode, we flash back to Tommy, scanning arrested in route to a brutal sanatorium. On the bus, he meets his partner in crime Lisa and uses his burgeoning speed powers to mount an escape. In the present, Vision huddles with his A.I. family to learn about the paladin, bounty hunter from an ancient line of bounty hunters, with the push of Ultron, Vision decides to save Tommy, but walks into an EMP present that saps his powers. With the pet talk from Tommy, Vision breaks out but is wounded by the Paladin's vibranium shotgun bullets, on desk door Jarvis sacrifices himself to save Vision and the rest of his A.I. brothers and sisters while Tommy and Vision escape.

That has been long midnight manifests for the first two episodes of Vision Quest. And I'll start us off. It's sad to see an MCU show cooking. This hard when no one's in the restaurant because I enjoyed the first two episodes of Vision Quest. I quite a bit. What do you mean no one's in the restaurant? I think the MCU has been on a little bit of a low and I hope people really show up for this because I was blown away. This is one of my favorite. Oh, a few times. We don't really, yeah, we don't know whether or not people are going to fuck with it. And I think that you know, that you're surprised. I thought these two episodes were phenomenal. I thought they were really good. I think I thought they were great. It's the fact that you like it. Yeah, I thought that the first episode was of the show was some table setting. But by the time we get into the second episode, the first episode was good, but it was some table setting. By the time we get into the second episode, I thought the show really, really kicked up.

It was fantastic. Wow. And why would you think there's going to be a tempered response to Vision Quest? No, no, no. I don't think it's going to be a tempered response. I first, this Vision Quest show has, I feel like been in the works for a while now. And with the hoopla over lanterns and just everything that's happened this year, I feel like Vision Quest might have gotten lost in the sauce. And I don't even, and what's his weird, which is I'm like, why do Vision is easily among the best things that they have ever done? So why wouldn't the trilogy kind of keep up the momentum? It was a show that I was not necessarily looking forward to. I didn't know what to expect. And immediately once they dropped me into the world, it was just, Vision has a character to me as fascinating and what Paul Betany and Spader are doing in these first two episodes. I was just like taking away. Right, so let's talk about like the show itself and how we responded to being back into this world. This is a corner of the MCU that has its own rhythm, its own look, its own feel.

And you don't realize that you're not in it until you're back in it. And so the moment I'm dropped back into this, a couple of things got to me. Number one, the way that they tell these stories in a very human way, but not in a straightforward way at all. So Vision is in the world. And we start the story there with Vision in the world. He's in the bar. He's being asked about Scarlet Witch. It starts in his humanity, his trauma, what he's been through. And then we just opposed that to going inside of his mind where all of these AI's who have essentially been orphaned are his friends and also his helpers, his team. His family essentially, right? And so you see Vision pulled out of the family that he had created with being part of the Avengers. Him and Launda and everything like that. His kids while he was in prison in Westview or created at Westview. And you see he has a new family, which seems to be a common thread in Vision. Whether or not he's human enough to actually have a family.

He feels human. He picks up the hammer in the very first movie that he's in. Yeah. He's virtuous. He's altruistic. But is he alive enough to be able to have families surrounding him and to be stable and to be a part of humanity? And they go right back there, which is awesome. And I also think what is kind of ingenious about the trilogy. Now that I think we can have like a bird's eye view about this is that each show has done such a good job of setting up family as it's core. Yeah. Wanda basically creating an entire reality to recapture a family that was taken away from her. Agatha and Billy coming together with the magic angle and I think a more matriarchal female perspective and then coming with Vision, which his family is probably the one I'm most interested in because it just has that nostalgic feeling of we're getting to see the human aspects of Friday,

it, Edith and dummy and all these other characters. And what I like about this is I almost feel like what it does maybe better than Lanterns is. Of course they're going to use the human versions of these people to like to save on budget, but you get a different type of emotional center. What do you consider? Regime speeder. Yeah. So with Vision real quick, real quick, sure, sure. Like with Vision, it's important to note this about the character. The rest of the Avengers lived their lives and then joined the Avengers. What are the reason? Vision was born into the Avengers. So Vision was first deployed as like he legitimately was first deployed as a baby who had parents fighting over what his purpose should be. And his entire art in the MCU has been to find his own purpose, to find his own settling, to find his own footing. And as soon as he finds it, it always gets snatched away.

So I think that like when we're the thing that we feel with this character being connected to this character is this happy ending is not one that has ever been promised or not one that was ever even supposed to exist. He was created for a purpose and he continuously is in search of a new one. Yeah. And so like watching him around other AIs that have the same backstory that were also created for a purpose, but feel like now they have their own relationship to one another, they're all way of looking at things. Who in the episode two are afraid for their lives is just really, really fascinating. Yeah. I was, I'll be honest, it was kind of a harder sell for me personally getting into this show only because of the fact that like the show is taking on a lot conceptually. Like kind of like how WandaVision did, but like with WandaVision, it was like the extended mystery of what is happening in Westview and what is happening to Wanda. This is like, okay, we can, we have to kind of personify and articulate what is going on inside

of Vision's head with essentially imprisoning his equivalent of people, which are just AIs that he like copy and pasted into his own mind and are holding prisoner in order to kind of figure out what his sense of self is. That's already a lot for the show to do and for the show to tell us. I think what the show for me like struggled with in the beginning and then capitalized on in the second half is kind of understanding the fact that white vision is a copy still of the original vision. What makes you think that he's holding the prisoner? Because he's holding Ultron prisoner. He wants to get out. Well, Ultron is a murder bot. Right, exactly. He should Ultron should be by all sort of. I think he's in the rest of the day. I don't think he's in the same position. They wouldn't be alive if not for him. Right, but the fact that he's not like kind of sending them out into the ether and keeping in the into into into the net into everything else because like if he lets Ultron out. Ultron he went to psychovia to recover it.

Yeah, Ultron's existence, Ultron shouldn't even exist. Ultron's existence is being facilitated by Vision who can't kill him. Ultron is a pernicious AI that seeks to take over things and get the nuclear codes and the earth to his will Ultron is insanely dangerous. But should he be there to first know? He should be there. Yeah, but in service to like Edith and dummy and everybody else and Jarvis as well, like to know that they are sort of like not his servants, but like the things that are like his sitcom family essentially to kind of like orient him in a world that he doesn't understand. That to me is like a lot to understand that it's just going on in his mind and not like personifying real people. Maybe it's my own cynicism of the fact that it absolutely is because I'm watching that and I'm like, he got his own little homies man. Like Jarvis or Jarvis is his older brother, right? Which is great kind of his dad too, but like we don't talk about that. But like Edith was Jarvis's dad. Well because they put the Jarvis AI into this.

Oh, yeah, yeah. And then that morphed into the old leg. You know what I'm saying? So he's got Ultron, he's got Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Ultron and Jarvis in there. So yes, sex party. Do you know what I mean? But like Edith is like the produsious little sister man. I'm excited. I'll do this Friday is like the smart older middle siblings like guys. Man, here's how we like think about things. And Jarvis is the older brother is like, yo man, look, he pulled the older brother car like a bunch of times like, yo, I've been around the block man. I know how this goes. I thought like him doing that was not him. Like again, he's like super lonely. Let me go get my other homies that I know from around the block. And let's all come here to be together because where else would they be exactly right? So I didn't find that bad at all. I thought it was hilarious how they had him like dummy and you from way back. That is the maintenance workers and they don't speak. They don't speak because they didn't have voices in the end. They're not good at their jobs. Right. It's like the movies here.

It's a little too cutesy, but like once I was in the world, like when Ultron is yelling at the fucking door. I'm sorry. No, that's great. That's great. That's great. But part of that is spader man. Spader's on the good. He's so good. He's so good. Like there's the part in, I don't know if it's first episode, I can't remember what they track him down. And he's like, ah, yeah, I sent the email, Carrier Pitch, or whatever they're calling it. But big dog. Stop eating a lot. Get even hung in in the bro this whole time. We're not trying to. I'm not trying to do all that. But even in that episode when when dummy and you are trying to get him out of the like elevators, like you have to turn, I'm like, Iron Man, like I was like the arm. And there was like little choices throughout this episode where even when they're in vision's mind, I realized I'm like, oh, the fireplace is an actual fire because they don't need it. It's like digital pixel. It's like our digital pixel. And they have little things throughout this where I'm like, oh, in the same way that

Wanda vision used sitcoms as a way into show Wanda psyche. I like the fact that so much of vision's mental world is trying to recapture humanity, but he does not understand humanity. So everything's just a little off. Yeah. Both Wanda and vision suffer from the same problem, which is that people are watching them because they feel that they are their creations. Like Wanda in this version of the of her story received her powers through Zemo, not Zemo, like which which was the other guy, the Baron was it. I know. Yeah. The other German dude. Yeah. It's very amazing. Yeah. Like through the stone, like experimented with them through the stone. Some of that stuff is latent. Some of that stuff is already there. She's next to me. But they use the stone to kind of bring some to bring her powers out. And so when she's not in pocket, either with Hydra who was experimenting with her or with

the Avengers or with shield, she has to be watched. She has the me monitor. So they were watching her and keeping her in the whole Westview situation. So they could like figure out like how dangerous she is or what they were going to do if they couldn't control her, right? And part of the that show was us observing like who's watching her and why. Same thing here, right? The reason has been recreated. He's kind of vision, but kind of not Tommy is kind of his son, but kind of not. But someone has hired Paladin to go get vision because he's just simply too dangerous to be untethered. He's too dangerous to be human human beings get to do whatever they want. They get to have free will they get to go places except for some of them. Some human beings, governments and other people overlord to deem too dangerous to be untethered to be left alone. You got to surveil them. You got to watch them. You got to look at them. And that's kind of the space that we see vision in. And whereas it feels like he had the type of life that he wanted at first.

In these first two episodes, things get so complicated for him. Yes. And so they like the showways know time. Pedal to the metal getting you right to the to the bush. It was kind of insane to know that like we already had like a big emotional sacrifice from Jarvis to like essentially so that everybody could live. So to this happens. And I don't want to say that it felt inert only because it was so fast that it happened. But I was like, oh, we're going to go places very quickly in this show. And it's going to waste no time. And I think that was a little disorienting for me only slightly because again, I don't want to unfairly compare this to lanterns. But it was only because Yeah, can we make a boss that we got to stop? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, we need to stop that. We just got here. We don't, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, we should at every show can breathe. Exactly. And it's on. And it's is done. Shout out to everybody out there. Langer's is done. Let's, let's try if we can to analyze the show. And I only say that because it's, I'm coming from a show that did a lot of showing and

telling versus a show now in Vision Quest that's done quite a bit of telling in the first episode. And then we're right into action in the second. I mean, I'd like the first episode because even where we start with Vision in Edinburgh, they do such a good job of like, okay, we know he's in pain because he's returned to the same pub that his old self would work at. What a soothing. That's where him in Wanda would come through. Yeah, hang out. And that's what, like if we, if you remember Infinity War, that was the only time that Wanda and Vision really had a life outside of the Avengers. Yeah. So already, like, if you remember like fucking Infinity War, it's not like, Vision had that much time to even realize a life out to your point. He was born in, he was born in the Avengers and that him and Wanda are trying to make a life outside of it. And it gets robbed like two years. Yeah, maybe maybe what was it between they say like we were sneaking around for the last

like a couple months, whatever, like stealing moments. And then in Infinity War, they're like, what if I never took that train? What if I didn't, I stopped taking all the trains and we just lived our lives. And then obviously, you know, the black order came and stabbed him and then he died like two days later. Like that kind of stuff happens. And like that's for him in that moment, like, well, again, it's not our vision, right? But like when he's going to the movies and he's replaying all that stuff, he's looking around like, I kind of, I didn't really have a life to your point. I mean, yeah, I was just the machine. I was somebody who fought and died and did it really get a chance to live and be human. What's that like? I mean, like to live like that. The question, the question is what makes vision vision? What makes a person person? Is it your creation or your consciousness? Right? We've seen that in a couple of different comic books and sci-fi situations. Are you visioned because you are supposed to be vision? Are you visioned because someone created you to be visioned? But are you visioned because you feel like vision? Like what makes you human? What makes you a person? Is it like where your born, who your parents are or the experiences that you get while

you're going through all of that? Because then, that means if I had your consciousness, I could be Charles inside my body. I could be John. That would be nuts, right? So like, so, so, I mean, vision and Tommy are both going through that same thing. Spader as Ultron is an interesting grounding force here because it seems as if him as Ultron getting out, getting into a chasse in the first episode, he's the keeper real nigga character. He is the character that's like everybody else is kind of in a sitcom. He's in a single camera drama where his job is to come in and tell all of these children because he's like the dad, the grandpa, the people, all of these children, how the world really works. And that dynamic is really working. Spader, you already brought this up, got to bring it up again, but it's the dad of Hannibal moment in this, a man Hunter moment where he seems like in the same way, Sideshra was this Hannibal character. This guy seems like the Hannibal character of like, oh, every single time he goes up to

that prison, it's like a weird thing was like, what if Hannibal was your dad? Yeah. And what if like the same thing that like, it's interesting where it's like Tony Stark is dead. I don't know where this is in the timeline, but Bruce Banner is off somewhere. So the only real grounding force that vision has in his life besides the other AIs is one of his creators and his creator. You don't, you can't tell if like, because Spader to your point is giving him that real and a shit, but sometimes like, but you're manipulating him as well. You know where you want him to go. So you can escape. And I found Betany and Spader's chemistry in this super electric whenever they're on the screen together. Oh, shit. When they're arguing about whatever in that in that room where it's obviously like the top because you can see like the the mind stone. That's the window window. Yeah, that's brilliant. Like, yeah, when they're going back and forth, that's obviously the best part of the show.

I think the thing that's really working for me like outside of like Spader and Betany and shout out my guy, Jarvis for Jarvis. Jarvis. You know, you saw my end game. He was like, oh, that's. Oh, it's a card of the, it's a card of y'all went there, man. No, yeah, no, make the point. I was like, we weren't there. He was great. He was so impactful when he showed up in end game. And so for me, you know, following that journey to see him turn the dust and turn into his original source code, that was the jitter me like, I've been waiting for a long time. I've been with him for almost a decade. That's the homey, man. I gave his life. We gave his life for the props. The vision of the whole last city. Like when he, I was like, vision. Oh, man. You got Jarvis fucking merc though. So this is, you know, I like that. I like that because vision go walk in there. First of all, when they came for vision in the original accent piece of this, where Paladin, we have to talk about Paladin that's villain.

Where Paladin sends his minions vision. I'm like, what are they doing? Right. Like, they're going up against the bus and AK 47s that vision. They throwing grenades in there. I can't be in tangent. I'm just like, what the fuck are they? They come in, they shoot the lady. No purpose. By the way, Paladin claims he doesn't like collateral damage. He collateral. He's gonna get because the homey that the sniper, he's just like, man, fuck the collateral damage. I told you. Oh, he pops him. So, but then the guy who comes into the guy that was running the prison bus, that's Tommy and his companion on, he tries to take out the little glow stick on Paladin. But then, he hit him with the glow stick and then shot him in the head. Yeah. Why would he be in the asshole? He was in the asshole. He was in the asshole. He was in the asshole. But why? If he just hit him with the glow stick, punch him and then shit. No, he just shot him with the glow stick and then both, right? He was an asshole. So you're trying to keep alive the dude.

I just fucking torture in the black homey. I just don't believe. I don't believe in the fucking pay. I can tell. You know, do process, bro. Do process. Process. Process is dead. Process is dead. So look, so I think that though, the fact that they sent these brute force attacks at vision was a way to actually make him feel comfortable. Like, let's say what I mean. So they sent all of that at vision. They came fuck with me. Vision. The booster bouncing off of me all that stuff. Even though he knows it's a trap, he probably takes the chance after calculation because he doesn't think that they have the technology or the wherewithal to hurt him at all. So he's going to go in there. It's a trap. They're going to try to brute force him. Maybe he should have suspected that they would have had something more, but they didn't until he got into that room. He knew it was a trap, but he legitimately underestimated his enemy because of what they had already shown him, right? So I think that they loathe him into that false security, which you could argue.

Shouldn't happen to like a fucking like he went there and he would say he counted. He said he ran into simulation. How? How powerful is this? How powerful is this vision compared to our vision? Is it the same because it's a milestone? He doesn't have the milestone. He doesn't have the milestone, but like it's the same body, right? Like Adam Antioch. Absolutely. I don't know if it's Adam Antioch. It's because this is my brain. Yeah, this is my brain. Yeah. But I thought he was saying that he's using Adam Antioch bullets to oh, to balance the vibration. Oh, right. What is interesting? No, because even when they were reading, when when vision in the first episode is reading the newspaper, I'm almost positive in the article, they're just like Adam Antioch stolen and wasn't there Adam Antioch stolen in the cap, the new cap in the brain world? Yeah, I mean, because Tia Mutt is making Adam Antioch's. So I'm reading this right here, right? And it says, I don't know, I'm not gonna tell you why I got it. It says that this vision has no moral restraints. He was white vision. Whoa. Right. Well, he did.

White vision. White vision. White vision. So the other vision was stronger. He was slightly, he had the mind stone, but not in his white. Well, he was killing. He was killing. I was like, and he was blood. It was, it was blood. It was blood. Can we talk about Paladin real quick? I love Paladin. He's good. I love Paladin. He's very cool. This is a great, this is the type of villain that I did not ever think that I would see in the MCU. I don't know that I ever thought they'd go put Paladin in this. He's a bit of a canonical jogger or like, jogger. Like he's not really like that. He'd be showing up. Yeah. Like not in any real, I have a character has a deep, deep history. It's a deep cut. One of the, I guess most successful bounty hunters that exists in Marvel, would you, who are the top five bounty hunters in Marvel? Bounty hunters in Marvel. Bounty hunters.

Oh, Taskmaster. So Taskmaster is a bounty hunter. Deadpool is number one. Well, Deadpool's kind of a bounty hunter. But I can, we can put them in. I feel like a mercenary bounty hunter in the same game. Yeah. So do your fortune. So Deadpool. Taskmaster. Taskmaster. Good boy. Technically. Good boy. I don't know. Craven. Craven. Yeah. Craven. Just bulls like to contracts. Yeah, bulls like to contract. So yeah. So you can separate though assassin and bounty hunter. No, but, but here's the thing. If you take, cause who hires bulls eye? Mm hmm. Like people that want people killed. That makes you a bounty hunter. Electra is technically a bounty hunter. Silver sable. Embounty hunter. Silver sable. Same thing. Yeah. What's the difference here? Let's, let's ask, let's ask now, this joke. I'm not going to ask. All right. You got this. This article is bringing out a lot of deep cuts. You're saying that like a bounty hunter. This is not true of paladin.

Right. Bounty hunters typically operate under statutory legal or contractual authority, such as bail enforcement. Now this is this. Bailing. All right. This whole issue. This whole issue. Cause like, that's like dog. Like dog. The bounty hunter was right. Like a bail bondsman. But in common. Common. Common. I pay you money. You take this. Because my hair is different from assassin to your point. Cause you just take like assassins. Then you got like black widow in there. And I thought that the assassin is just killed them. Bounty hunter has taken a dead early. Well, you can also be an assassin, but for a government. Sure. Like, and then that you're an assassin like for a government. Like if you're Jason Bourne, you work for Trent Stone. Yeah, you get paid, but you're more sort of like sent out to do government. What you're assassin for the government, right? So, you know, the bounty hunter will sometimes capture people. And I guess some of the mercs that we talk about would do that too. Well, yeah, the paladin is like, I need him alive. Like we can't give him to his club.

The bounty is like, he has like, destruct to me is not a bounty hunter. He's an assassin. Yeah. So Deadpool to me is an assassin and a bounty hunter. Because he can, he's hot like people hire Deadpool to go do contracts. All of this to say that paladin is a bounty hunter. Yeah. He's an assassin. An assassin. Right. And he, he's not a bad guy in the comics. Not he is a bad guy, but from what I used to like, am I wrong about this? Like when I used to read, I'm not up on paladin. I can't say that. He was, he was a poppin. He wasn't like a bad guy though. Like he was somebody who would be, he would do the bounty. And then like, he would be trying to do it, right? And then if you pushed him too far, he wouldn't do it. Huh. So it's kind of like Taskmaster. Taskmaster is kind of, he's like an anti hero where it's like, he'll do the job. But sometimes he's like, he's got a bit of a code. Yeah. Yeah. Like, you put, yeah. A little bit of a code, a little bit of a code.

Man's got to have a code. Man's got to have a code. You push him too far and he wouldn't do it as a matter of fact. Like he would like, sometimes paladin would like freak out a little bit. I think he wasn't in a lot of comics, but you would see him in some comics. Like he would pop up. And then at times he would be like a, am I, I feel like I'm wrong. No, no, no. He was like, he was like, sometimes he was a fake ass hero though. No, he was. Maybe, but like, but I don't know how you do that in this show because he already kidnapped the, the kid, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Oh, no, he would do gnarly shit now. He would do gnarly shit. But then somebody would be like, okay, so like, he would, he would be like, he would be like, he would be like this. Like he would do something that was gnarly and then they would be like, okay, now kill the kid. He'd be like, no, I'm not killing the kid. Capture him. Yeah. And then he would like bring the kid to torture like he'd bring the kid to dare devil. And they'd be like, hey, man, I captured the kid, but they want me to kill the kid. I want to kill the kid. Right. And then he bring the kid to dare devil him and dare devil. He's like, now we got to say the kids. Okay. And then like he would leave. That's like, that's one battle after another. It's like, I don't do kids. That's it.

Yeah. That's paladin. Yeah. I'm just talking about right now. Like who hired him? Right. I immediately, I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. Billy. I don't think Billy. I hear it in his voice. Yeah. The sound modulation isn't that good. I can hear him. My first thought was also Billy, but I was like, Billy's paying him a lot of money where Billy get his bread from. He's a witch. He can just manifest. I guess that's like Billy. So Billy is to the point now to where Billy can people kill. I mean, I mean, That's what my first thought was. For the sake of his dad, maybe we've really, really quick. This is on this is on Wikipedia. Paladin, although not a super villain. His mercenary activities often bring him into conflict with superheroes, facing characters like Daredevil and the Punisher. Okay. So you're right. Bit of a wild card. He's a little bit of a wild card. This is not saying he's a villain. He's an anti here. Oh, okay. Yeah. Well, that feels like that feels like he was saying that I was wrong. What is it? No, he said, although not a super villain, his mercenary activities often bring him into

conflict. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Because he would, he would like be, like, just like I said, he would be on a mission to get the money. And then he like, he would, he would get too crazy. Yeah. He would get too crazy. He's like, Hey, man, I'm, I'm like, you know, I'm not doing that. So, so here's the thing. I feel like we saw Joe Costa in the, in the trailer. In the trailer. I feel like it's probably Joe Costa, right? That would make more sense. It would make more sense. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like he, like, all try how he fuzzed the money in an edge of all try and we just gave a, it was a call. It's all just a little prank. Yeah. Yeah. I'm really not getting it. That's not trying to kill anything. I'm only going off of the voice. Like, I'm just closing my eyes and I'm like, is that sound like, hey, where are you going? Hey, we're gonna do another top five. Oh, yeah. I like it. Uh huh. I like it. Wait, let's do the top five now. Who hired, uh,ality. Okay. So let's, let's, let's, let's, so want his dead. I understand. That was a funny shit. I was like, kind of not really. That would be a zag though. So let's just put one on the shirt. I want to stop the list. It was like, is she under? She crush got crush on the show. Yeah. She could be like, that happened. What happened to your wheel? Oh, she got crush under a mountain. So one of five.

One day five. Sure. Um, that's, that's just a wild. That's not what that's like. Oh, Billy F. So we put Billy F for. I don't think Billy got the heart. Billy F for. I don't think Billy got the heart. Billy F for. He hired to hire a dude to like, maybe like, he might accidentally kill you there. To kill your brother. Yeah. Who else even exists in this world that we know of that it could be? So these are all characters that are that I've shown been featured prominently in this trilogy. Right. So who else? Who on the board? I feel like they would have to be connected to Iron Man or one division or one division. Okay. What about anybody from sword? Are there any like, anybody who knows from sword? I'm saying like, are there any like lingering people from sword? Um, I mean, you could argue like Nick Fury, but like, that seems like that's a reason you would never do that to vision. I wouldn't set palette on vision. All right. I'm trying to think, and this is another interesting part of this.

I'm trying to think really of who this is. Like Billy has a motive wanting to get the family back together or talk to his dad or whatever. Um, but I feel like he could just pull up on them. Why would he go through all this? I'm trying to also think of like possible doomsday tie-ins of like, how could this possibly Daisy chain into that? Like I said, I feel like, you know what? All trying to talk in that crazy shit and his wife is like, hey, yo, I'm still out here, you know, I'm claiming my son. I'm coming to my side. What? What? I mean, I think we probably will get to the cost of it at the same time like, where, where she been at this whole time, right? Is she? You don't know what Ultron was all to is so, when he was just a body. Yeah. And all the question, there's no way that it's doing right? There is no way. No way. Okay. All right. Let's do that. Let's do that. Do that. You got no way. You guys just put it to negative.

There's no way. And you'll rob. No, I love that. This is what we was doing at WandaVision. He's like a fist, though. But. Yeah. But that's it. That's it. That's it. You got a great riches. Now that you bring him up, oh stop. No. I hear you officially an MCU. This is, but there's no what is Mifisto possibly want with this? I have no fucking clue. But now that you bring him up, what is Satan? What? But Mifisto. I'm going to Mr. Sinterer. You're going to fucking lose now. You're going to be mad at me. What? Power broker. We bad. Y'all not being so bad. We bad. Man, the shadow. The shadow for your days. This is 2020. Power broker. Mifisto. Green Richards bitch. Remember that. Remember those green Richards gives no. You're down with me. You're so down. They thought for sure. You're going to be rich as the aerospace engineer. I'm like, they thought for sure we should give back. You know what that day, bro? Oh man. Remember when we were celebrating the day when it was soldier, when they went to batten, when it was soldier. I was like, oh man, I'm going to be rich.

I'm going to be rich as the arrow space engineer. I'm going to be rich as the arrow space engineer. Remember when we were celebrating the day when it was soldier, when they went to batten for our my, all right. Here's the green. We're kidding them. All right. So these are so before we let's do this before. So these are all the people who we could possibly be. Right. Who could possibly have hired Paladin. Let's just run it back as far as like the big question. Do you now number five? By the way, I have to say something here. I want to be completely honest with the audience. Okay. When we were doing lanterns, which I'm bringing it up, we were doing lanterns. We were getting advanced screeners of the show. We were getting them one at a time. Yes. Okay. We were getting them one at a time. So we would get an advanced screener of the show. Just so you guys know, that helps us get this podcast out right after the show premieres for you guys. But we're not getting a full season of lanterns and advanced screeners. So there was nothing that we were theorizing about that the screeners were revealing to us.

Right. What we can say and should say right now is that we got the full season of this show. Okay. I only watched for you. We have not we have not we will commit to the audience to watch these shows as they are being released. Yes. There could be some that are going to throw out theories and stuff like that. When let's be honest, they already know. Okay. But the like our partners over at over at Disney gave us this so that we could watch it so that we could put these shows out on time for you guys. But all of our theories and the theorizing that we do are it's going to be in good faith because we are going to watch these as they come out. Correct. Okay. As we are recording them, theoretically you could get through the whole season in a week. But like and then just put the images out and take a walk on polymarket and then put bets on Billy. No, I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to do it. Hey, man. LeBron.

I'm going to say Steve right the block is hot at the ringer. Yeah. Maybe we cut that. We're going to show up. So but but in order to stay in community with our audience, we're not going to lead you down the path of. So these dumb ass theories that we're coming up with, we really mean we have no idea. We're not going to watch ahead. So there you go. Right. To pull back the curtain for you guys to see guys know how it goes. Okay. Nice. Now back to it. Let's let's put all the names in the head again. Who do you got? Doom at five. Well, let's let's throw all the names out and then we can put it up. Billy. Billy. Donda. Dome. So stupid. The power. The power broker. Right. Billy wanted to doom the power broker. Who else did we say? Uh, Scott. Yeah. Fury. Fury. Sure. Fury wouldn't do this guy. That's what I'm saying. He said to get out. You think Fury going to send people to try to know I said why would he have any connection? You don't get to talk about vision vision.

Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Why vision? Are they going to bring me? Are they going to bring Vashon back? Vashon. I mean, he died with the television. I mean, he died, bro. Okay. Who else? Who else? Is that all the names that we threw out there? Yeah. Okay. Death. Oh, the fist. We threw my fist though. I'm not. I mean, what? I feel like Pepper could just make a call. Happy home and dumb. Pepper could fix so many of these problems. Okay. Okay. So. And I'll throw one last one in me. What about damage control? Um, Stewie back there. Like, yeah, we need. Yeah. Yeah. What about damage control? But the bad PR after Spider-Man, you know, they can't go out after him. I'm so they got to go through back channels. Right. I'm still thinking about the stark, the stark watching because like this is technically stark tech. It is. It is. It is. Who's running stark right now? I have. If my fucking business owned vision, I'm like, I need, I need that.

I need that. I need that property. That would. That's how much you think. That's like a billion dollars with the tech. Vibranium. Maybe more. The vibranium is way. Yeah. Like he's made a fool. Oh, vibranium. Hey, sure he might be like, sure we need that. We need that vibranium. You know, you got to make a call, bro. The Wakandans would send themself. The Wakandans. They would not hire no white man to go do that job. They would just send a coin. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just going to do a guess fucking. Hey, remember this mantle. The blockies are like Kung Fu. Hey, I would have to. That would be the biggest biggest pandering set of black audience. If a coyote in that was. I tell you something. I tell you something though. Those. You can't underestimate the Wakandans. Okay. No, you can't. They do better than the jobers at the Paladin. They do better than the jobers. You can't. Under estimate the Wakandans. First of all, the Wakandans are unpredictable. Civil rights happen. They didn't lift the finger. So you just never know what they're going to do.

Tough. That's what I think is the shit back. You never know what they're going to do. You never know like, you know, Niggas and slavery and the Wakandans are over there. They didn't e-bomb Bay. It's funny. Like it's like when. They didn't. They didn't e-bomb Bay. Like they didn't do that. What no e-bomb Bay in 1730. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Don't want to cap to the America ass. And all of a sudden it's on you. Shout out to the Wakandans, ma'am. And we have to have a conversation, bro. We never talked about this. You know the Wakandans in the movie theater watch it 12 years of slave laughing. They're like, couldn't be because of the dog. Come on. See, I wanted to do a light one. I wanted to do a light one. You know, like what you just want to do a light one. Oh, black one. You need to be broad. You're broad. I want to do a light one. And you just took it all the way. Why would you take it then? What? They didn't help. They was laughing like, you know, a shower. Yeah. The kid was looking at the rest of them. I'm like, hey, man. Yeah. I'm doing other shit.

The honestly was going on around here. Like there's too much. Like you tripping. But they came around, you know, in 2018, you know, one of the better lengthen. You know, I mean, yes. So shout out to we love them. We love the Wakandans. They are friends. You take the baby. We love them. We love them. We love them. We love the Wakandans. They are friends. You take the baby. We love them. I like them. I like them. I'm like, you know, I was very moving at the end when they decided to help. Hey, man, shout out Oakland. They went to Oakland. They built a whole set of men. Hey, that is one of the most brilliant master strokes in film history. You start that movie in Oakland. You orient that movie. And an experience that the people that are at least here, they're going to movie because that was a worldwide movie and all of that stuff. You can get it. But you connect right away in that movie, the black American experience to all the magic, the majesty that we believe is our birthright from Africa. Like in the first scene, you get that. The first scene, the movie tells you exactly what the tone of the film is going to be.

And exactly what it's about. How it's going to pass on. If you were directing the movie, would you have set the beginning of the movie in Belarus? Yeah, it would be like, Boosey. That's what I do. The first thing you heard was too short. But as soon as he, as soon as the fucking thing popped open, he was with a shootin' at that bitch. No, I'm saying in Jersey, Joe Biden is going to be the soundboard. Hey, Jersey got some hard ass rappers, bro. Joe Redman, trench. Jersey got some hard ass rappers, bro. Trench hard. You like, you like, you like, you know how to buy nature? I like, I like Redman. Oh, there you go. Just dirty ass. It leaves me out of the window. They say, I know about you, Steve. Don't. Okay. Okay. So those are the people that are on the board. I feel like, well, we can talk about who's on the board and maybe give it one more bunch of episodes before we really get into who we think it is because let's be honest, it's

none of those people. What are the chances that whoever hired Paladin is a brand new character? I think it's high. I think it's high. I think it's high, yeah. I think it's high. Yeah. They wouldn't be hiding them. I'm guessing that this is going to be a late season reveal and so I'm going to guess that this is going to be somebody that we know. Is there another AI we're missing? Like somebody in the ether who's just like, I'm going to make a call for visual ever. All my other homies over Atlanta. Atlanta? Oh, small potatoes. Small potatoes. Small potatoes. Small potatoes. I think they're going to be a big potato. Yeah. But she was a big potato. She would have no paladin though. Yeah, but she wouldn't hire a paladin. Look at that guy, man. He murdered that innocent woman who was just on a bar invited him to the Sunday roast. I really thought he was going to go to the Sunday roast man. I thought he was going to go there and like pretending to eat. He was going to be fun and a bone right in the chest. Tommy. So we see Tommy in this. Tommy who is of course speed. We see his powers manifest themselves at certain times. It seems like when he stressed out, he could control them.

They'll come out. Yes, panic attacks. Panic attacks and stuff like that. When we first see him, he is running a con running a grift with his companion. What's your name again? Lisa Lisa. Okay. So Lisa. And if she's that's not an angel, be Lisa for right now. So they're they're running a they're running a con to Lisa and Lisa and he is kind of aimless in the world. His family that he was born to in the more traditional sense is very fractured. Yeah. Which leaves him feeling like he has no family. And then all of a sudden, he gets a infusion of consciousness that is based upon the offspring that wanted to create it while in Westview. Like Tommy. Tommy soul. The same thing happened with Billy. Yeah. This was the kind of the hardest thing for me to swallow this first these first two episodes because I'm like, okay, we got to have like a introduction to this character and then be he's got to be wildly disoriented about his existence and where he is in his life right now.

While still being like what a mid 20s early 20s kid like that like that was a lot in the like the first half of this second episode was like chew on a lot for me. It got there, but like this was this was interesting. I was fascinated with where his relation to vision is going to manifest now because essentially his dad's going to be trying to rescue him for. Like he's going to try to rescue his dad for like basically the next two episodes. It seems. The reason I like I like the introduction of Tommy a lot more than I like the introduction of grown up Billy because I think it worked that he's way less plucky than Billy. I like the fact that like Tommy is just like, okay, like he's had a life, he's running cons and it's interesting that it's interesting that they paired vision and Tommy together because it's like two characters that.

Almost have no bearing on what one to did because Billy has a connection of magic where Tommy and white vision are kind of like dog we were just kind of thrust into this. There's nothing we can really do is the right pairing for the two of them for here. I thought like particularly like the scene on the bus was like really good in getting a sense of like who Tommy is right obviously he's got the dickhead. I don't know if you're going to do with the glow stick whatever yeah, but him and Lisa like have a connection right not only like not because you know she's attractive. He trying to you know do his thing but he's just like yo we're going through like a similar thing like my my dad or my mom died. My dad was gone. I was in out of foster homes like I don't know any of the life than this. She like he too dog we're not trying to do this forever though we got to go to was a saying or whatever. Yeah, the centatorium right where they shock you and you don't you don't leave right how do we make this happen. Boom, you see the media chemistry between them leads to them escaping doing all the grips or the drifting whatever like so I kind of I kind of get this character.

He's just somebody who was like quick on a feet and it's just like. Like doesn't want to do like the wrong thing but has to survive you know and I think that for character like Tom like Tommy that works. And like I didn't bump up against it at all just like okay this is kind of somebody again who was don't underwater at one point and like remember this entire life. That actually didn't exist. You would kind of feel a certain type of way to and that mirrors vision and what he's going through pretty well as well. Yeah, I mean all of these characters are kind of like trying to find who they actually are and there's so much magic and sorcery and all of this stuff involved in this. These are all people who I kind of say this so Tommy having to choose between a life that sort of rejected him and a life that's calling to him is kind of the entire thing here. He's almost been rejected in the life that he's been given which is his family is not around he is all by himself and he is legitimately taking advantage of people to to to to further himself he that's his entire deal is tired to deal is concocting something kind of like almost like a spell is what a grip is concocting something.

So that he can like extract something from people now there is something that is calling to him to be a part of it and it feels real but it's for it like it feels like something that like is he supposed to be this feels like my dad do I have a mother but it's also for and he's compelled to it but does that make it real yeah like does that make that thing real maybe maybe not going back to the ship of the sea is metaphor. The sea is metaphor like the sea is metaphor which was brilliant by the way oh yeah and then a cookie. Ultron being like you don't even know why the ship they don't remember the story behind the ship right like be the king it's not the point the whether or not the ship is real is not the point yeah the point is the king and like the sacrifice and the connection and the whether or not the ship is actually what it is I'm glad you brought that up because that's one of the little parts in the show that grounds how we're supposed to look into this world. It's really smart of the show to like it's actually weaving a lot of.

Wanda vision and Ultron lore and other Avengers like little nods and like tips of the hat to actually orient us in this story again because I keep hearing and seeing things that these characters say and do I'm like oh yeah that was an Ultron that was in. Wanda vision this has all of this connective tissue that at its best the MCU should be doing and is really really good when it when it hits right it didn't feel like. Why like it is it didn't just feel like Easter eggs. It felt story motivated yes every single time something was calling back to like age of Ultron or one division it was deepening the world in a way where it's like if you never saw this any of that stuff it wouldn't matter but if you have seen everything you're like oh emotionally it is centering me because like. Like as much as I think age of Ultron is a very fun movie they left a lot on on the table with Ultron as a character yeah and I think even with vision a lot of times I think Wanda was so centered in so many of the stories like what's wanted to do and oh my god it's going crazy.

I like a series where it's fine like oh vision gets debris we finally get to see it from his. Bitch I mean vision is another character that kind of becomes a victim of the power scaling yeah right it's like. The way vision is used like he's taking off the board right away in infinity war along with the whole because let's be honest if you have him it's probably a problem yeah you like you probably gonna get fucked up right it like if you have him so they take him right off the board and they make vision kind of like more of a. Not that's not exactly a mcguffin but more of a stationary object that the plot is like around right now the we don't trade lives thing I don't. trade life is like true with vision can you get the stone out of the entire deal they make more vision more of they can treat him like a robot they treat like a human robot they treat him he's treated very humanly I want it like now they treat him like the help but but at the same time they take vision off the board is very strong and this one right here the fact that we don't.

know how strong vision is we're not quite sure what his capabilities are it gives the I feel like the writers in the show a little bit more ladder to to go and do some stuff and then a vision fucks up and fails would be like okay it's not the same guy was at a mistake for for them to a lot because I always thought it was a mistake in age ball tron for him to be able to lift me on your because he just puts him on a level where you can never really like to your point to power scaling they I'm like vision can fucking lift me on your it's not. I'm not the hammer that's more like an emotional and like still can wield me on air but like but they save that shit for infinity war but I'm not if it ends for endgame yeah but you're not going to be like he can be whole can a fight like you don't believe that right so who kept cap can I'm not I'm with me on air I'm just saying I don't know if cap with with the hammer could be home that's going to be tough without without the hammer but just because he looked at hammer does the hammer with the hammer with the hammer with the hammer Thanos fucked him up yeah. Thanos also gave hope to be did but at the same time what I'm saying is the hammer will allow cap to get closer I don't know cap with the hammer could be hope I don't know that he can get the powers of Thor when he's holding the hammer yeah you just yeah you just have the hammer like you can do the lightning you can do that shit yeah you don't have you can't be super strong hammer very intuitive he gets the hammer he raises it up to the sky calls the lightning I mean he's been watching Thor for a while he kind of knows a thing.

Also the hammer and sentient so the hammer is helping him by the way the hammer has got sentient to it by the way we should say that the Lisa Mollon are a character is actually a common book character that I'm not familiar with. Hey, where did where was her? What was her first appearance? her dark rain younger vingers number one okay wow your agenda is never going to like familiar with this care not only is my agenda not going away to do with the glow stick and the in the bus yeah he's like these group of young oppressors and I'm like I see what I like young masters they are called a super villain team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel comics you can't fool me they are a milter and chanters executioner code of arms a kid black night and chanters black black night black night night. All right. We are honest. All right people after vision quest we wipe in the board we don't need no young adventures we don't need no and we never got him in the first we never got him. I don't know code of arms I'm a beyond which I don't I don't know I mean I can imagine right young Avengers Allen and code of arms in the same show that's a thing I mean that's tough to because you're probably right they're not going to do it they might do you

little something in um uh sicker wars or whatever battle world but you got you have Kate you have uh miss Marvel yeah you have stature you have uh speed you have uh Patriot with Patriot you have wicking bruh you got the whole team there man you might as well as the lucky ever well they don't have any the they're the young Avengers but all of my 25 yeah yeah by the time young Avengers come out they're all gonna be 30 yeah they're the Avengers at that point well no they still young compared to the other people I mean yeah that's pushing they got a retirement home over there you know I mean like so technically real quick Friday Edith Jarvis all of these characters it we know these characters yes we we know them we know the way that they've been used we know their utility Jarvis is the first AI Jarvis is the first AI Edith no uh Friday is the second Friday is the second Edith is the glasses is the glasses from Spider-Man right and dummy and you are part of Tony's uh that is this in Tony's workspace yes yeah yeah how do

we feel to see these characters embodied and their personalities and I thought it was a pretty I mean I mean we knew that this was happening yeah I thought I was gonna be the cornyest ship from the trailers and I quickly was on board like once they start communicating whatever I'm like this is just so funny this is just so charming it really is you can I can see this being the entirety of the show but knowing that like we're gonna be back in the real world is really good but like this kind of like dysfunctional family of A.I.s is really really cute to me um I just love the idea that we can see Ultron kind of being the like the cynical again grandpa of it all and actually like while still manipulating them like actually interacting and maybe cohabitating with this family I would love to see what Ultron's arc is in this show because to know that he can still be evil but also like at the behest of vision interact and cooperate could be very very fast why would why would you keep Ultron around that's a real like like because again it's not who keep Ultron around

vision I know guys we all have fathers this is dead come on I'm not I'm not I just I just think like I don't mean like actually but I mean like I feel like he serves a utilitarian purpose in the sense of vision knows like you kind of like to your point early you kind of do need a demon like you saw you never know I don't know I could you need a predator but you need a predator it could be also that vision is still searching for his purpose right and his father who created him had a purpose in mind so there is probably not necessarily answers but comfort in the fact that he was designed by someone with some sort of purpose he can't kill him because if he kills him it would almost be like killing the idea that he should exist so he wants to extract as much knowledge and connection from him as he can for as long as he can till the situation becomes untenable or by some in the

ass which it's certainly because because the thing that it all does yeah because the thing about Ultron is that he has such a broad knowledge of humanity that it turned him evil and cynical in like three minutes to want to like like extract the entirety of the human race from existence but I think vision sees the like good in knowing that much about humanity in order to learn about himself and that cynicism is part of being human and being like you know a fully realized person he wants to only take parts of it and like prove to Ultron that it's worth combating to know that there's that there is grace in their failings that there is things that that can be done and like to know that they still resume that conversation from the end of Ultron is brilliant to me before we get out of here I've been focusing on this for the last like minute the fact that you came in here with a cop that says vanilla gorilla is crazy that okay that was the name of the coffee place vanilla vision yeah why vision vanilla gorilla yeah no but don't don't shout them out don't tell nobody with it

with it don't tell nobody we're not shouting them out don't shout them out don't shout don't tell by the way Flintstone we have him we have in a a meet and greet or we had to figure it out we had a meet and greet we had a meet and greet and we shouldn't the told you guys where it was yeah just got fine that bitch yeah vibes you got fine that bitch we shout out these guys you got a nice business it came in through us in the pitch we're doing good I try to tell people where to come find them so they can come and use the facilities and like you being like no thank you so get your men to get you know get a lot of here I wasn't something real quick I just want to ask one question before we get out here Charles right it we run out of pot um so the showrunner here is a guy by the name of Terry Matallus okay all right so the shows that he's run so far are the 12-month he's show good show he's I've never seen it uh McGiver Star Trek the cart which was good the last season was good okay yeah I like I enjoyed it when I

watched it I didn't watch a whole lot of it but I enjoyed it when I watched it um and vision quest is now the show that he's running actually the guy who plays paladin was all the card he's back in this show so there seems to be some synergy there he's written on Star Trek in a prize Ternova Nikita so he's a veteran but this is his first foray at least from his filmography that I can see right here into the superhero languages and he's not he's not one of the guys that's died in the wool as a superhero guy bringing them back whatever whatever what does that tell you about what they want to do with the show I mean if you get a guy that's done Star Trek and 12-month he's definitely into sci-fi he's definitely into the things and structures that make you know some of the best superhero things that we've seen like that those are in that DNA I can see Star Trek in this I can see the sort of like moral back and forth about technology and like the human nature of it all

in this show and I think that that's pretty well executed here I think they got a they got a good guy here to me we'll see where the show ends up but I think the reason that I I'm not ready to say superheroes shows are back but they're showing a little bit more life because they're operating more like TV shows now where this felt like a TV show in the best way possible where it's like okay you guys have a hook you guys have characters that I'm invested in this is in the same way that wand division is this reminded me of a sitcom there's action in everything but I'm like oh this is a family that I want it's same thing with Agatha along these are families that like you want to invest time in and I think maybe Marvel it took them a while to figure out how to get here because they've done it and but Loki to me was the same way it's a family that you want to spend time with and actors that even when shit gets crazy and fantastical there's a level of groundedness to the whole thing where I'm just like oh shit I want to spend 45 minutes for show

and it looks like we're gonna get Tommy a vision and Ultron who like is like he's like he does he's not actually there but vision can like see him there like as James Vader just running around doing doing stuff for like the next couple episodes so it's exciting we'll want to show up in this I don't know I don't know shot maybe through a archival footage well sorry well yeah yeah yeah yeah sorry we're where do you guys think just after two episodes this will net in the trilogy uh like right now I want to let it play out but right now I'm liking this at least as much I've liked all three of all two of them but three of them now that I'm watching this but right now it says I'm as least as intrigued by this as I was I got to all along the level of entry that I had for Wanda vision is going to be tough for I don't know if we can create that that was just like that by time but I think what I'm liking about this show is more

so that I'm way more invested in vision as a character that I was at just because I'm like I have more of an emotional connection because he was a fucking Avenger like I'm like are you gonna finish what a vision quest I can throw it all on you didn't finish I don't know why you're gonna finish vision quest hey why don't why don't we gotta bring it all to you weird what's your own what's your own way you're gonna play I'm like um by the way there's another show that the showrunner worked on night flyers which made me think of the night flyer which is was a Stephen King short story that I read back in the day oh that's one of the most freaking terrifying things I've ever read before my life and what is this about a fucking vampire right that this reporter knew that this guy was a vampire and he was doing a story on it because this guy was a vampire going around killing people like interview with the vampire but this was yeah but this was like the guy

he knew that this guy was a vampire and the dude was fucking with him he would do fucked up shit to him he would like kill people and like lead the body where he could find he was fucking with him he was like he was so he knew that a reporter was on his tail he fly behind him ripped the car ripped the fucking hood off his car and do crazy he he knew that the guy was like honest Taylor whatever and it was just like I read it back in the day it was just like fuck you know peak cocaine Stephen King it could be probably ladies than you like that mind didn't need no coke that that mind is something different brother that he even can't even say yeah that mind is something crazy bro I even know I don't even know maybe he's tapped into the dark dimension or something shit like that I've read the night flyer no more time I can't remember that probably is not even what happened in it okay now it's over no more podcasts um we're good we're we're we're we're flying down vision vision quest highway it's good stuff it's fun I'm reactivated like I'm excited for fucking vision question we're doing it okay guys gotta get the fuck out of here vision quest we're keeping it up

we've got questions maybe the show will have answers a great start the question for these marble shows is will they be able to maintain through the middle of the show to the end of the show that's that's all we that's the yeah they start they start off promising but I think they're gonna land deep they're gonna land I'm hopeful to it because there's a lot a lot here love the possible okay on Thursday the house of our will come back and give you their vision quest deep dive coverage on Friday and Sunday being gives you back-to-back episodes on Castlevania bell maw's curse featuring Simon Bellmont a game master captain in the game master now captain in the game master had an intendo controller on his belt uh-huh so he had it in that he had the gang controller in the that he had the he had so he had to get that so he had the blaster right he had the blaster that you that came within the tindo that on his head the blaster but he also had the controller on his belt so have you shot or threw something that captain in the game master he would hit the

directional pad and he would move to the side real fast so were kids bringing the duck hunting guns to school I don't know if the show ever became like that yeah like we we had some we had a we had a legitimately a cartoon where it was a mr. T cartoon yeah but mr. T was helping out a bunch of kids who could do gymnastics yeah like and they were like like cracks yeah that's some real shit yeah yeah no no no no no there was a cartoon where mr. T was the leader of a gang of kids who could do gymnastics and they used gymnastics to fight crime that was the thing he bed man that was the cartoon guys it was that's what it was okay like that was a John candy had a cartoon at a summer camp that was the best era for making cartoons and captain in the game master greatest there was Nintendo powers to fight in the Nintendo world and like what you and Seth Green were watching back captain in the game master bro that's like it's like y'all y'all

didn't miss the t take them kids to the Olympics oh they did they were in the Olympics they were they were doing it on the side like the other places were so quick before we go real quick before real quick Kevin Kean a teenager from Northridge California no bridge and his dog Duke are transported into the world of video land after being sucked into the ultimate warp zone a vortex formed in his television right mother brain was the villain mother brain yet mother brain was the villain mother brain and it was it was Simon Bellman Mega Man and kid Icarus with the wings okay kids all the people that was fun with him right that bitch had three seasons 34 wow 34 episodes that's a lot for something good girl like one season like look that like Simon Bellman look I tell y'all bro all these people in the goddamn king hippo was in there it's like all the villain dunked con it was a shot I used to like that bitch when it came on um 1989 to 1991 so from when I was nine to 11 captain in the game master golden era yes fine

mr. T like gymnastics I'm not making it up I'm not saying you're not you make it it up I'm just saying like I don't know we put on about fucking mr.
