About this episode

The Minnesota Vikings have Jaren Hall locked in as QB1, but the real intrigue lies in the backup race — Sam Darnold’s named QB2, a savvy move given his experience. J.J. McCarthy, still on his rookie deal and a Michigan standout, remains a future asset — but his roster spot hinges on Kyler Murray’s performance. With GMs always eyeing upside, trading McCarthy for a mid-round pick might be on the table if he’s not needed long-term. The Vikings are balancing present needs with future strategy — a classic NFL chess match unfolding right now.
