It's your host Jimmy Kaufman hanging out with my co-host Bethany Bowman. Bethany, how are you feeling after this week? What's going on with you? What's new? I just feel like the season is flying by.

1:01Do you feel like that? Yeah, I kind of came to the realization that I'm pretty sure October is next week. Is that happened? Is that true? Yeah, I guess it is. Yeah, eight days away. So yeah, we're in October here shortly. And that's when it really starts to feel like football. And I think today is the first day it really is a little bit cooler out there. Oh my gosh. Oh, it's been just like a year-old. Like a point of that. I believe my take my dog out to potty in the morning. And it's not 80 degrees already. It's a nice crisp 60. Oh, that feels good. But honestly, it's felt like we're getting into Halloween feel. But it's felt Halloween-y for a while in my house. My girlfriend put up pumpkin, like Jack-O-Landered Garland, like some campus. Yeah. First week we were in our apartment. She was like, boom, we're putting in a Halloween decoration. So I've been ready for this season. I'm glad that the weather's caught up. But with that has come a lot of other good games. I want to get into some games of the week that we had. Bethany, do you want to go first this time and talk about your game of the week?

2:02Yes, I will do that. So I had Lisa Mnorth taking on Lisa Mn. It was a 24-17 win for the Broncos. And yeah, no, I think both teams looked pretty good. I'd say that Lisa Mn right now, what I'll tell you guys is that they are not the team. They're going to look like near the end of the season. Ideally, of course, we don't know what's going to happen. But last year when they won the Class 6 State Championship, they had a lot of injuries early in the season. We're able to come together at the end of the season and play their best ball. But that coaching stuff got really creative with how they used the guys and put them in the best position to win. Had Guy step up. A little bit of a similar story here to start the year as they really don't have a quarterback right now. They're waiting to get some guys back. They're a little bit banged up. And so I thought Lisa Mn it fought really hard to stay in that game with. They're really good Lisa Mn North team. But they will look a lot different, I think, later in the year. But for Lisa Mn North, Carson Soakin quarterback had a really nice game. Lincoln Steckman had his first big touchdown grab.

3:04He was like an 80-yarder down the field. Lisa Mn North looked really good. And the defense held strong. Lisa Mn actually had a drive to potentially tie the game near the end of the game and just couldn't get it done. So defense for the Broncos held up and it was a nice win for Lisa Mn North. Yeah, it's impressive. And you mentioned Steckman that was an 87-yarder to the house. So really impressive by Lisa Mn North getting it done. That's just an exciting area game. That one's really fun. Are we cool if I get into my game? Yeah, let's do it. Game of the week, it was Rockhurst hosting the Carney Bulldogs. Carney gets it done 22 to 13. And what I found to be a surprisingly defensive matchup, my player the week last week was Carter Temple, NDSU commit. Man, what a good choice. I mean, he was fantastic. Sometimes you get to look smart. I know, I'm like, man, I looked like a genius. He played out of his mind. I believe he scored all three touchdowns whether it was through the air or with his legs. He had some really impressive plays.

4:06The defense looked really good for both teams, but I would say pretty clearly, Carney's defense played more physical. They're able to contain guys like Cash Lewandowski pretty well, especially Garrett Miller. I felt like the past game could never really get going. They were trying to get Tristan Johnson in the fold. And when you watch Tristan Johnson in real time, the three star who has not committed to any schools yet, he is fast. I mean, he is really, really speedy. He plays both sides of the ball. In my opinion, I think is a better defender. He got an interception from Carter Temple, one of the only turnovers that Rockhurst could get in this game. But outside of his performance defensively, offensively, they were trying to get him going as a receiver. But Garrett Miller just kind of struggled. He only had a hundred and six yards and a sub 60% completion percentage. It wasn't the best look so far from the senior. It feels like he's still trying to find his way in this offense this year. Cash Lewandowski do what he could. He led the entire team in scrimmage yards. He had a hundred and seven yards through the air

5:09and rushing combined, which was more than Garrett Miller had as a passer or more than anyone else had scrimmage-wise. So he did have an impressive game, but at the end of the day, it was just a really impressive performance on both sides of the ball from the carny bulldogs. And I had the pleasure to catch up with quarterback Carter Temple and talk a little bit about his performance, as well as, just a small little tidbit about his wrestling acumen. As he's committed to go to North Dakota State in Fargo, he's also won the wrestling championship in Fargo now twice. So we get to talk a little bit about that and how that contributes to football. Here's the conversation with Carter Temple. For Sports Radio 810, I'm Jimmy Kaufman at the 810 game of the week as the carny bulldogs get it done against the Rockers' hot glitz on the road. 22 to 13 to improve to 4-0 on the season. I'm here with the man under center Carter Temple and his senior year incredible game today. Carter, how are you feeling? I forget off the field. I feel great. I'm super fortunate to have the type of guys in the coaches that I have and we pulled it off. We know we are going to, but we know it's going to be a fight.

6:09Absolutely. You guys got it started early. 15 points in that first quarter. How do you feel that kind of set the tempo for the rest of the game? I mean, I think it set the tone right from the beginning. We came out and punched him in the mouth twice and I think we could have played 10 times better. I mean, I missed a lot of stuff. And the score could definitely be different. Yeah, well, one thing you didn't miss was that 62-yard bomb to Matthew Lindsay kind of walked me through that play and what you were thinking in the moment. Yeah, we worked on it all weekend. I just, I trust my guys. You know, we trust each other and we knew it was going to be there. I looked off number six because we know it was going to be a good player and we could have got there, but we got it there and we scored. Absolutely. And you are dual threat. You've been able to do it on the ground and through the area at the 39-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. How did you kind of feel your running ability play into the win today? I feel like it helped a big time. I mean, we came in knowing that I was going not to be able to run it and be physical. We'll get down hill and I did think it helped a lot. Our backs did great too. We get down hill and hit the holes hard.

7:09I don't think it's a team that can tackle all of us. Yeah, well, there was a lot of tackling today. And Rockhurst is probably the toughest defensive guys as faced. The first defense, so hold you guys to under 40 points in a game. What do you think you learned the most about the offense today and what to fix? Like I said, we missed a lot of stuff. I'll admit, I missed a lot of stuff. So there's definitely a lot of stuff we can clean up. There's a ton of stuff. I mean, I think we had probably two touchdowns that we missed. So I think the sport would definitely be different. Absolutely. And also, I am aware that you are a really talented wrestler as well. How do you think that your ability to wrestle has kind of played into your ability to run the ball? Oh, well, definitely the mental side of it. I mean, this big game stuff, I love it. I mean, I lived for this stuff. I won my Fargo National Championship in front of 10,000 people. It was amazing. But definitely with the legs, I've just keep my legs moving. It's staying low. So, yeah. Absolutely. And finally, Carter, 4-0 now on the season. What's next and what's further for the Bulldogs?

8:11We're on to the next game. That's all we can do. We're going to put this game in the past. We won. This is not a Super Bowl. And we're going to go try and be five-0. Awesome. The quarterback at the helm. Another guy at the helm, the leader of the Bulldogs. Head coach Logan Minick got to talk with him after the game as well. Here's that conversation. All right. For Sports Radio 8-10, I'm Jimmy Kaufman. Here on the field, after the Carnegie Bulldogs get a big win over the Rockers' Hot Glitz, 22 to 13 to improve to 4-0 and 18 to know in their past 18 games. I'm here with the man at the helm. Head coach Logan Minick, coach Minick, big time win. How are you feeling after the clock at 0? Exhausted. That was an absolute battle between two absolute blue brother programs here in the Kansas City area. Somebody had to win this game. But I guarantee you that my ice and bumps and bruises put on kids after this game is going to be substantial. But just so proud of our kids, we kind of went into this. Going into the season, I don't think anybody

9:13gave us a shot to win this game. And then there was a little bit of talk this week. Just so proud of our kids ever, because again, that is a classic roster, a classic guys. They're a little banged up at a few spots too. When they get healthy, fully expect them to continue to win games as well. Absolutely, but you guys get the big win today. Carter Temple was a big part of that. He got it done through the air on the ground. What do you think of his performance? Carter Temple's the best quarterback in the state, regardless of class. I think tonight showed that. I think he showed that. He's lost one game as a starter. And he started every game since the sophomore. Ultimate competitor makes plays when they're not there. Makes me a really good coach at times. You know, when you've got a kid of that caliber. And the kid's rally around it. He's done selfish. He'll give credit. I guarantee you the doctor. And then he's going to give credit to everybody else. But he's hell of a player. So glad he's on our team. We're going to keep the same road. Absolutely. And I want to go back to in the first half, your second touchdown. It was a 62 yard bomb from Carter Temple. And then in an immediate extra point attempt, that was a two point conversion. What was the decision behind that being up to scores?

10:14And that's just something we're always going to be aggressive. Obviously, I got aggressive too. The fact that Ponte didn't work in our favor. I'm at the same time we knew they bring everybody off that edge. And then nobody in cover it. So we thought that was a great shot. We have momentum right here. Let's see if we can get two instead of one. Our kids executed beautifully. Absolutely. And speaking of momentum, fourth quarter rockers gets their second score to the game. They get the on-side kick. But it was a huge sign interception for the Bulldogs. Kind of walked me through that moment and how that felt being on the sideline. Yeah. We were banged up with cramp and bruises and everything else. We're throwing kids in there. Spots I haven't necessarily played. But again, guess who comes up with the plate? Kale Tucking is one of the best football players in any class in any school here. And he has zero college offers right now. And he's probably our best football player. So hopefully some teams are starting to get attention. Because he is the ultimate football player. He kicks, he ponds, he plays quarterback, he plays DB, picks out passes, he returns kicks. He's one of the best football players in the state. And he needs to find a home next year. Absolutely.

11:14And finally, this is the first team this year that has held you guys to less than 40 points in a matchup. What did this game teach you the most about this Bulldog crew? We're resilient as heck. We scored the first two drives there. We're feeling pretty good. And then their defense locked in. And we knew we told the kids we might have to punt a few times tonight. And you always worry about that when you haven't played much second half coming into this game. But so forever kids. And again, we are soul believers in the weight room. Carnegie High School string conditioning. I think it showed. I think we warmed down here in the second half. Absolutely. Warm down officially. For now on the season 18 straight wins. Carnegie Bulldogs look really impressive. Yeah. And while we're throwing in conversations, maybe we'll hear from Demonti Cross head coach of Lisa Mott North. Really cool story there that I didn't mention earlier. So new head coach this year for Lisa Mott North.

12:16He's been at all levels. He's coached in the NFL. He has been Mizzou's defensive coordinator. And I just really love how he's running this program because it's all about buy-in. It's all about discipline. Those guys are not getting away with a single thing. There was a little kind of scuffle in the beginning of the game. And Coach Cross was on his guy that was involved. And I think the player said, well, he did something first. He said, I don't care what he did. You're not going to do that. So really well-rein program there at Lisa Mott North. And here is Demonti Cross head coach after the game. Head coach of Lisa Mott North joining us. Demonti Cross coach, a win over Lisa Mott. And your guys grinded this one out. Yeah. What do you make of this win? Well, a good tough win against the former state champs. That's a good test to kind of let us know where we are as a team. And where we're capable of. Always fun coming in. A new head coach, a new season. So far, what have you learned about this group? And what do you see moving forward? I see, let's just continue to bond and figure out who we are as a team.

13:16We're still figuring that out, believe it or not. I just like the fact that we're playing well in all three phases. And we're trying to weaken win the game in any phase. And our kids are just continuing to make plays, believing the system, believing each other. And we're just counting at the point where we don't care who's making to play everybody's cheering for one another. So that's pretty special. Yeah, always fun to watch as well. So I enjoyed that part. And you know, with you coaching at so many different levels over the years, the NFL, college, now high school. What's special about high school though? The kids. You know, it's always been about the kids at every level, believe it or not. But you know, when you get them to help them at this age and they're still trying to figure out who they are. Identity, confidence, manhood, all those things. And we just try to instill in them all those things as a coach of staff. So it's pretty fun to just be able to have that impact on young people. Yeah. And since you've played, what's the best way to instill confidence in a kid? Making plays. I think we create a system where we let our players make plays. And when they do that, the confidence just kind of goes through the roof.

14:19So we just believe, hey, if you're in the position, you'll make the play. So we just try to get our kids in position and make plays. Awesome. Congrats on a week four win. Good luck in week five. Appreciate it. Thank you so much. All right. So yeah, two great games of the week. Lee, some in North gets the win over Lee Summit and Karnie gets the win over Rockhurst, which Rockhurst now, Jimmy, two and two. There are two losses coming to Pius and Karnie, which are school smaller than them. Two wins for Rockhurst are over Manhattan defending 6A State Champion in Kansas, as well as Shawnee Mission East. But I think really what this says, I know a lot of people are, oh, you know, Rockhurst, the big school getting beat by the smaller schools, I think it just shows the really power that like Pius and Karnie have. I think they're both really, really good teams this year. Yeah, and I know right now, I believe St. Pius is still at the top of the leaderboard. I believe they're still ranked first in the area. I would have to say I think the best team right now in all of Kansas City is the Karnie Bulldogs. I think that they looked incredibly well disciplined.

15:20And I think that Rockhurst did put up a good game defensively. They looked really stout. A lot of those drives stalled. And really, I was impressed with what Cash Lewandowski was able to do with what he was given, but Karnie just in the trenches was so strong. And they are incredibly impressive. And I think that they really do have, it feels like another 14 and no season brewing right now for the Bulldogs. They are just turning out win after win against some tough opponents. But Rockhurst on the other side has had, I mean, we've talked about one of the toughest schedules right now, especially to open the year with St. Pius, the defending 6A champions on the Kansas side in the Manhattan Indians. Shiny Mission East, yeah, they handled them pretty well. Shiny Mission East is not a team to slouch at. And now you got Karnie. So, and it's not going to get any easier as the next game of the week for 810, drumroll, please, drumroll, please. A lot of excitement there you go. There you go. This is going to be back at Rockhurst as they host the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints. And this is going to be an interesting matchup because these are two teams that are widely

16:21regarded as some of the best in the area, but they're both are dealing with two losses. The St. Thomas Aquinas picked up their first win this past week against Blue Valley West 49 to nothing. And that was the first game I think we really saw that St. Thomas Aquinas, you know, they're kind of back into form in my, or they're kind of back, you know, in the wind column. It looked like a confident win. It kind of felt like if I can pull it to college real quick, like Dan Lannings, Oregon, walking in against Portland State and putting up 84 after losing the Oklahoma State, kind of a get right game, get back into form and they're going to need it as they walk into Rockhurst. That's going to be a fun game. I'm going to be out there getting coverage. We're going to have a call there on sports radio 810. So make sure you're a part of that. Bethany, what's your game of the week this week? Mine will be St. James and St. Pius. So I'm really looking forward to this one. I also wanted to mention that last week we talked about looking at the EKL, you know, kind of how it's going to play out. And we said it was really, we thought, Miege, Blue Valley, and then also St. James in

17:25kind of the hunt for the EKL regular season title. Now after Miege gets a big win over Blue Valley, I think it's got to be St. James and Miege. And so I'm looking forward to that match up later in the season. But right now this is a big test for St. James taking on St. Pius. And so yeah, going to be a fun one and looking forward to it. Absolutely, especially after St. James is coming off of that close win against Blue Valley North, that's going to be a must watch game, especially because, you know, you, St. Thomas Aquinas and Rockhurst, both two lost teams who have taken some, some, their, their licks early. Then you got two teams who have kind of been at the top of their leaderboards and overcome a lot of adversity in one in St. Pius and St. James. I think that's going to be, you know, really two of the best teams in their rightful states going up against each other. Yeah. And the kicker for St. James Stoker, as you mentioned, walks it off with the, was it a 48 yarder for the win on Friday over Blue Valley North.

18:26So big win for the Thunder to stay perfect in 2026. Let's look at a few other scores around the area. We'll do a little bit of Missouri and a little bit of Kansas as well. We'll go quick here. Blue Springs South. They win at 37 to 6 over Staley. Pimbroke Hill, nice win over St. Michael 42 to 7. St. Pius, of course, got the win 5712 over to Peaca Hayden. I did to, you know, to Peaca, obviously, to Peaca Hayden. Raytown South 347 over Grandview. You mentioned your carny 22 13 over Rockhurst. Blue Springs 31 24 over Liberty North. That was a good one right there. As well as Raypec 34 28 over Lee Summit West, man, what a year for Raypec goes winless last season. And now 4 and 0, I believe for the Panthers. Wow. They're unblumished this year. Really good win for Raypec. North KC 41 7 win over Park Hill.

19:27Raytown gets it done 24 22 over Grand Valley. Plot County 38 17 over Smithville. Those were some of the games that stuck out to me on the Missouri side. Look at Kansas. Mill Valley 51 0 over Shiny Mission West. But Mill Valley, I mean, Shiny Mission West is how their Shardals Mill Valley could do that to, you know, almost anyone. They're just so good. Right. And that's, I want to give a shout out holding Applebee just this past weekend committed to K state. So holding Applebee will be a Wildcat kind of staying in the local school area. And of course, his dad, Joel Applebee was a K state Wildcat himself and had coached there of Mill Valley. So staying in the family, they are cats and happy for holding because he is one of the best kids around that I talk to regularly as they get their wins. So holding just so humble and a great leader for the Mill Valley Jaguars. All right. We mentioned Miege 48 19 over Blue Valley. I don't know. That one shocked me. That one absolutely did after watching Blue Valley a couple of times.

20:30That team is incredibly strong and they really took care of what I think are some good teams in the area. But Dan Sogard, who has been one of the, I think best quarterbacks so far this season, under 50% completion percentage, he goes 16 of 33 for 218 yards, still racks up three touchdowns, which was impressive. There was an interception in there. It just, it did not feel like the Dan Sogard we've come to know. The run game couldn't really get anything going either. Three different runners from Axel to McCarthy, two Sogard on a couple of plays. 61 yards combined on 19 carries. It was just not the game for Blue Valley. And Bishop Miege on the other side was just incredibly strong. That defense is incredibly stout. And they are, I think right now, my favorite team in the state. I think Bishop Miege is by far, not by far, but is the strongest team right now in the team to beat. Absolutely. And with what they've done and the performances and numbers they've put up, I think it's, that's very valid. They've got to be right now.

21:31Bishop Miege led by John Holmes. And you know, every year they, like you mentioned, kind of take their licks and then able to usually make it into, you know, a deep playoff run. But this year is a little bit different, just really showing that dominance early here in the season and taking on a, you know, bigger school in Blue Valley. And one that's really good too. So I think I've loved what Miege has shown so far this season. The keeper 48-14 overturner. Nice win there for the Pirates Spring Hill 49-6 over 11-worth. They're looking really good this season. DeSotto gets a 31-28 win over Basar. That was a good one. Yeah, absolutely. Gardiner, Edgerton gets the win over Lawrence Free State. 35-14. The trailblazers back in the wind column. And the Alaitha district, Alaitha Northwest gets the win over Alaitha West. I was watching this game a little closely just because I thought it was such an interesting match of an Alaitha Northwest gets the win 42-35 over the owls.

22:31We did say that was going to be one of the best ones in the area. So I'd say we look smart on that one, no, too. I think I claim it. We fully claim it. I we fully claim it. Okay, we are the masters of the area. So Shawnee Mission Northwest gets the win over Shawnee Mission North 63-28. Thought that one would be a little closer. Yeah. Really good, but Shawnee Mission Northwest, I think, has won now for 10 years. They have not lost two Shawnee Mission North. So continuing on the streak for the kugers. Alaitha South, 27-14 over Alaitha East. That is Jimmy's previous school. Do you call a high school in Alma Mater? Um, sure. I have differing, I get differing in mixed opinions on that. I have heard the Alma Mater is only your university or your college, but then I also hear people use it for their high school. I use Alma Mater for any school I went to. That's fair. I have a preschool Alma Mater, you know what I mean? Yeah. But congrats to the Falcons. That's a good win, just to get in the win column.

23:32You know, both of these teams have had Rocky starch the year, but all it takes is one win to get something going in the Falcons. I think one here pretty confidently, and it helps to win over your rival, too. That's a big deal. Lawrence, 35-34 over Shawnee, Michigan East. That is a tough pill to swallow for the Lancers, but a nice win for the Lawrence High Chesty Lions. Louisville, Northwest, 42-24 over Blue Valley Southwest. Blue Valley Southwest is struggling, and I feel bad, and you know, they had a couple really good seasons a few years ago, and it just seems like they haven't had the kids really right now to put it all together, but I'm hoping they'll break through this season and maybe break that losing streak. Well, in Blue Valley Northwest, I think they got off on the wrong foot with that loss to Blue Valley, but that's still a really good team in the area. And I think that this is more of just a testament to how good Blue Valley Northwest is, rather than, you know, maybe something going on with Blue Valley Southwest. I think, you know, that's just a good kind of get right game for the Huskies.

24:36All right, more scores and results on atinvarsity.com on the Friday scoreboard, but we're going to take a look at some upcoming games for this Friday and tonight. So upcoming Kansas matchups that I am excited about, and I see that kind of jump off the page. Of course, Aquinas and Rockhurst. Rockhurst, not on the Kansas side, but Aquinas is, so we'll throw that in for the Kansas ones. I think this could be a really good one. And I know that, like you said, two losses each for each team. This is one and two Rockhurst two and two. Of course, Missouri starting a week earlier. But really, I kind of feel like these two teams are pretty evenly matched. Yeah, you know, I think this is a, this will be a chance for both of them to kind of, you know, Rockhurst wins. They go above 500. If Aquinas wins, they get at 500. They both have incentive right now to kind of get back in the swing of things. I think that Aquinas with that win last week is going to be on the right track.

25:38Rockhurst is going to be at home, which is nice, but they've kind of struggled at home, dropping two games, you know, to St. Pius and in, in Carney. And they've welcomed some tough teams into Severino field. So I feel like this is one that Aquinas can carry the momentum over. A 49 to nothing wins is a pretty big high. And I think they definitely have a chance to, you know, carry that into the rest of the season with some momentum and some, some gusto. Aquinas is, I believe, without their starting quarterback, though, believe he's hurt. So could make a difference, does make a difference. I don't want to say could that, that is important. But obviously they were able to make do last week in that 49 and zero win over Blue Valley West. So just something to note and watch in that matchup. All right, Basar Linwood and Spring Hill, Basar, of course, we mentioned coming off that three point loss to DeSoto Spring Hill, coming off of a big win. So Basar Linwood going to look to, to try and get right in this one. Absolutely. And I think Spring Hill, their offense has been really exciting and they've put up multiple

26:4250, 60 point games. The Broncos look really good to start off the year. I see them rolling into this again with confidence. I think that the Broncos look to be one of the most exciting offenses. So this is going to be a must watch game. Olaith and North is two and one. We mentioned they got a win over Shawnee Mission South this past week, 49 to seven, over Blue Valley North, the previous week, 28, 21 and opened up the season with a 42, 20 loss to Shawnee Mission East. So two and one on the year and they're taking on Shawnee Mission Northwest, coming off of that big win over Shawnee Mission North. So I think this will be a really good one there in the sunflower. Absolutely. And we've talked about head coach Jason Pete in his first year after being a defensive coordinator at Olaith East for a while. And you know, something that all coaches talk about is sometimes, you know, maybe an ugly loss of the beginning of the season is the best thing your team needs in order to figure out, okay, one, you get an excuse to work the players harder. Two, you see maybe some of the the holes you have to patch up, some of the things you

27:47have to change. And I think that's kind of been the testament right now for coach Pete and what he's done with the Eagles. They've looked like a different team and they're following two games since that loss to open up the season against Shawnee Mission East. I like the Eagles and I think they're going to be, I think they're going to surprise some people with this performance against Northwest. If I can throw in a game here that I'm excited to watch, Elatha Northwest is traveling to take on Gardner, Edgerton. Should be a good one. Two, two and one teams both coming off some good wins against some quality opponents. Edgerton beating, they beat Lawrence Free State. Elatha Northwest beats Elatha West, both teams two and one. Gardner, Edgerton for a while has been one of the best teams in the area, but Elatha Northwest has been kind of on the come up. They are runners up. State title game last year. Exactly. The mid-to-state title game. That's huge. And they seem to be riding that high and I think that this is going to be a game. Just two teams kind of on a run right now. Two trains head on collision who's going to come out of it.

28:49I'm really excited. I like that comparison there. All right, St. Pius and St. James, we talked about it a little bit in our earlier segment, but going to be a really good one. And of course, this doesn't really affect St. James for their conference or league standings in the E.K.L. But this is a big test, I think, because St. Pius has been one of the best in the KC Metro, taking down Rockhurst. And St. James is undefeated on the season, staying unbeaten with that stoker 48 yard kick to win it over Blue Valley North last week. So St. Pius and St. James, I will be there. Get all your coverage on 810 varsity. Social media channels should have some post game interviews with our winner. Excited for this one. Absolutely. And if there's another one we're excited for, you just mentioned them, Blue Valley North. They traveled to Blue Valley for another in-district matchup and the Mustangs take on the Tigers at Blue Valley. That's going to be a fun one to watch. Especially Blue Valley North puts up that really good effort against St. James. I think they look like a pretty good team in Blue Valley's coming off their first loss.

29:53In a bit of a surprising kind of punch in the mouth fashion against Bishop Meage, I think that this is going to be an interesting test to see how the Tigers rebound from a loss and how they bounce back. Coach Tarell is a good coach. He's been able to put this team together and they fought through adversity before. But this year, especially against the team like the Mustangs, this would be a really interesting one to watch. Shawnee Mission North in Free State, I think, could be a good one as well. Free State coming off of the loss, you said against Gardner and Shawnee Mission North with the loss to Shawnee Mission North West. Both teams trying to get back into the win column. That should be a really good one as well. Absolutely. One last one I want to point out. My Falcons, I like the South traveling to face, Mill Valley. And Holden Appelbee, that will be kind of an interesting test. They get a win. Where do you go from here? Mill Valley. It's Mill Valley. That's going to be. I'm sorry, Lathas South. I've got my money on the Jaguar. It's not real money, everyone. No gambling going on. Yeah, we actually sports better on high school sports. The thing is, we do not do it at 8.

30:54We do not do that. No, I am faith in Lathas South. I think they get a win against Lathas East. And sometimes that's what you need to kind of start stringing things together. Unless you're playing Mill Valley. And it's going to be easy. I'm sorry. It's not going to be easy, but this is a team that's showing promise. They're growing each game. All I want to say, I want to see what the Falcons can do. Put them in the situation. Let's see what they can do. Very fair. And that's not a knock on Lathas South at all. I would say that about any team taking on Mill Valley. There is no value. They are really good. I've seen them in person this year and that defense. In addition to Holden Appelbee and some of the offense. But the defense is just suffocating for Mill Valley. They call themselves the Landsharks. They definitely are. All right, Missouri upcoming games. Let's go with a few each that you like. So I'll go with Ray Peck and Lee Summon. Just talked about Ray Peck. And they're a nice season, especially coming off of such a struggle last year going

31:56winless. And now they have been off to an incredible start. Lee Summon, of course, coming off of that loss to Lee Summon North. Just by a touchdown though, 24-17 loss. And again, this Lee Summon team is not the team that had coach Todd Miller once and to be at the end of the year. They don't really have a quarterback. They're banged up. They've got a lot of guys that they want to get back into prime form. And that's just not Lee Summon right now. And that's OK. But this would be a really good win if Lee Summon could come in and potentially get this win over Ray Peck. Yeah, absolutely. I think that's a great choice. I'm going to go with the Grand Valley Eagles hosting the Platte County Pirates. Both teams sitting at similar records, Platte County 3 and 1, Grand Valley 2 and 2. Grand Valley's coming off that tough loss to Ray Town, a 2.3-year or a Platte County's coming off the win against Smithville by double digits. So I think it's going to be kind of an interesting gauge for Grand Valley.

32:57They've had kind of a different game almost every game they've played. They have a close match with Ray Town. They did get blown out by a carny, but that's carny. I think they've got kind of an interesting crossroads right here of what kind of team are they going to play or are they going to be against a Platte County team that's really picked up where Bill Oots left off. So this is going to be one on my radar for sure. OK, an interesting game for me actually. For Osage is 1 in 3. They took a 44-34 loss to Oak Park to open up the year. A 27-22 loss to Staley. A 20-15 loss to Grand Valley and then got the win 43-8 over Chrisman. So they will be taking on Ray Town in this next matchup. And I think this one could be closer than we think. Of course, Ray Town's record looks a little better for an 0 on the year, great year for the Blue Jays so far and taking momentum from last year's nice season as well.

33:58So I'd like to see that carry over and a good season for the Blue Jays to start. But I do think for Osage with those three losses, a 10-point loss, a 5-point loss, a 5-point loss, they're a lot better than their record shows. So I'm looking for a 4-0 Sage and Ray Town. Absolutely. Another one I'm looking at, Blue Springs taking on Lee Summit West. Lee Summit West has had a, what I'd call, some mulchewis start to the season. And Blue Springs has looked like one of the best teams in the area. I'm excited to see what the Wildcats do on the road coming off them. That win against Liberty North at home. They've had a really strong start to the season, only losses to Ray Peck. But they've beaten North Kansas City, Blue Springs South, Liberty North. This will be a fun matchup against the Titans and that's what I have on my radar. Liberty North and Staley. I think this is another one. I feel like the two teams are pretty evenly matched as of right now through the first four weeks and so looking forward to seeing what that game looks like.

34:58Head Coach Andy Learman at North and Drew Hudgens at Staley. Drew Hudgens had such a successful time as defensive coordinator at Mill Valley. He also coached Blue Valley North as head coach and now at Staley. So looking forward to a matchup of two teams coached by two really good coaches. Yeah, absolutely. I'm also looking at North Kansas City's next matchup with Liberty. North Kansas City coming off that big dominant win. 41 to 7. The Blue Jays, one and three, not the best start for Liberty right now, trying to get back on the right track. They did get a win 48 to 7 over Park Hill South to break their three game losing streak. They could be on the right path. They're continuing now a two game road campaign against the Hornets. I think it's going to be exciting. Again, one win is enough to change the season. Maybe Liberty found the gas to put in the tank here against North Kansas City. Blue is your player to watch this week.

I'm going to go with him and Ikebod, Washburn Football Commit. He's been really good this season. So far, 53 total tackles. That's 13.2 tackles per game.

37:0039 solo, 14 assisted. He has three tackles for loss as well as two sacks on the year. So getting it done, not just the safety. He's getting up in there in the action and being a really big part of this Blue Springs South defense. So I'll go with Sigh Wilmess of the season. Awesome there are your players to watch.
