U.S.-Israel Air Campaign vs Iran: Casualties Rise

0:00This is Corey with Global News Today, powered by the Daily News Now. U.S. and Israeli forces have ramped up their air campaign against Iran. With top military leaders warning, it won't wrap up quickly. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Cain said Monday that achieving key objectives will take time and involve tough challenges. And more American casualties are likely. The conflict heated up further when Kuwaiti air defenses accidentally shot down three U.S. F-15E fighter jets. This happened during an Iranian counterattack, according to U.S. military reports. A fourth American service member died Monday from wounds, suffered in the operations, highlighting the growing human toll. Defense Secretary Pete Hagceth stressed that these strikes aim to take out Iran's missiles, navy, and other defenses, but they won't turn into an endless war like past conflicts. Meanwhile, officials say the mission remains focused through central command, with no quick resolution in sight as strikes continue.
