Let's do this one right here. Texas through three games and they have Play-to-House State. This defense does not allow a lot of explosives. And Tennessee's had his fair share of explosive plays through three weeks, two buy games in Georgia Tech, but Tennessee had several gets Georgia Tech. All right. If I were to ask you how many plays Texas has given up through the air that accumulated more than 20 yards in three games, so past plays of 20 yards more down the field of 30 games. How many? One. And more than that. Four. Seven through the air in three games. Okay, I thought you were going to tell me that I'm locked down.

3:01Here's probably the more impressive when I should have let off with this, I'm apologize. In three games, how many runs had they given up that's been more than 15 yards? Five. Less than the number of games played, buddy. Two. Two. Yeah, did you get sort of the load number that let me build my way up? Two. They've only given up in three games. This Texas defense four plays that have gone more than 30 yards this season. That's impressive. It's very impressive. What you're trying to say is that things are working with Will Must, Champ and Mark Stoops. Ah, so far. And keep in mind the majority of those explosive plays. Game of one guy, Jeremiah Smith, I can tell how I was saying. He had a couple of 40 yard receptions. Yeah, guys likely going to be a top three pick, flirting with the other one over all selection. You get him out of the picture, and that Texas defense has been just phenomenal this year. Josh Hyde will ask about Texas, the defense, the lack of explosives. It's given up through three games. This is what Tennessee said. Go, Jeff, say about the challenge that awaits. They're front, the ability to apply pressure.

4:05There haven't been a lot of runs that had popped on them. Gap integrity, physical at the point of attack. But all three levels of the defense are fitting things together. And then pass defense wise. They're going to play zone principles, match principles. A lot of different pressures. All of that combined with their talent and athleticism had limited the explosives. Josh Hyde will. If Tennessee wins this game, Tyler, is Tennessee going to have to have some explosives, whether it be on the ground or through the air? Yes, because history has taught us in Josh Hyde's system. The greater of explosive plays, the fast starts, how many explosive plays do you have in a single game? I mean, no, seriously, that's what it comes down to. If Tennessee, it goes back, you know how it was making a comment earlier about having to land the first punch. I was thinking about having the defense needing to land the first punch and getting archmaning off his feet on his backside. I'm telling you right now, and I'll even give credit,

5:07John Pennington over on the Sunday Sports Show. He brought it up. Tennessee, when their opening drive is a touchdown, they go into Windows game 68% of the time. Tennessee is great on script. Fantastic on script. I mean, starting games first off in the series, think about those games going back to Georgia 2024. You know, every, every series so far this year in 2026. I mean, they are really good on scripting games. They're gonna have that too. Georgia Tech game offensively before the ground game really got home and they had some explosives on the ground. They were living and dying on that exposed supporting the first quarter against Georgia Tech. I think Tennessee can't live on the explosives, but to win a game like this, Tyler, you're gonna have to have a couple of explosives. A couple. Yeah, and I'm glad you didn't just limit it down to just maybe one or two. If Tennessee can find a way to double, double the running attack. Yeah, big 15 yard plays and they can find a way to get half of what they've given up through the air so far this year. Tennessee has a strong, strong ability to win this football game. Home field advantage. Getting archmaning kind of razzled,

6:09trying to have him in a situation where he's not completely comfortable. Like I'm gonna, this is gonna sound weird. I don't think archmaning is, I don't think archmaning is himself when he gets hit by a defender on the football field. I think when things happen to him off the field in front of a microphone, you can see how buttoned up in for azzled he gets. After the holly row apology, did you see him today? Or did you see him yesterday when he met with the media? I thought I saw that he was asked 17 questions and he gave a total of like maybe 90 seconds. And I answered, I don't think it was that. He wouldn't root at all. It was just, it was actually better than I thought. I thought 58 seconds. Something like that. But yeah, you're not gonna get much anymore. Not anymore. Yeah. So I think the first time he gets hit and he's just like, oh no, oh no. And now, arch you idiot, why did you say something about the AI video with holly row? You're done button it up robot. Yeah, I know it's gonna be a great game. I'm gonna say, I just think a standing over of a Sam Houston player is freshman year when he hit somebody. I think barking at the camera before he went down to the match up against Georgia

7:09and Georgia put him in his place. I just think there's still a lot of growing up to do for patents nephew. I think he's matured on the football field. I think he's become a pretty decent quarterback. We talked about that yesterday. He is a good quarterback. Hangin' on to those road tests in 2025 though. That's a deal. You can't just dismiss it. This will be his first road test. We've mentioned those numbers yesterday. On the road in five starts last year for archmaning, 57% completion. Seven touchdowns, five interceptions. And let's face it. Now again, it's three games, small sample size. First half, yeah, first half really of Ohio State, he was not good. And he was not good last week. Again, QTSA. But here's the thing, I'm not, and no, it's not fair cause I'm moving the goalpost. I literally am not taking anything I saw against Kennesville State for the whole set. Yeah, yeah. I saw against the runners for the long run. Now I'm with you, I'm with you for sure. Both Sark and Hype will understood the assignment last week. No doubt. I think arch is the point. I still have to, that has to be part of the formula,

8:10but I'm trying my best to keep it one eye closed to that. Tennessee's just gonna be ready for everything cause so many times over the years and one year doesn't play to the next year I get that. But so many times throughout the years, you have Tennessee defense has a way of allowing quarterback just to do the thing. And he's gonna run a ton. That's a huge part of his game. Tennessee's gonna have to spy him. Kind of like they did work he callins last week. But gonna be a challenge, Tyler Evans, and we'll see how it fairs. So maybe Vegas knows something, but maybe we're actually catching Vegas with this change of the scheduled pitching match up. Again, originally Seymour versus Cole is now Cole versus Inglard. 13:21And you have the rays that essentially are taking the night off. But here or there an opportunity to be able to still see some single season individual record set by Tampa Bay sluggers, wink wink, do a little bit of digging into that. Six and a half teams a little too light for me, especially in a smaller ballpark like Yankees stadium. And no matter how we get there solely on the Yankees bats tonight, or a little bit of punch here or there from Tampa Bay, I expect us before we get to the eight, nine late innings of this ballgame for us to go home a winner of three straight. You mentioned fans and I think that's something I'm really looking forward to, especially from the perspective of Xavier Gilliam and his Penn State transfers. You know, they've kind of teed them up to talk about just how hostile the environment can be, especially when they're out on the field.

15:22Obviously for defense and they haven't quite said, you know, really what they think about it. And I think that's one because it's a competition. Now you have Texas coming into town. It's checkered, Neelan and I think it's just going to be an incredible environment. So I'm excited to see how these newcomers really appreciate what it's like, you know, playing inside Neelan Stadium and having that Neelan effect and hopefully can be as disruptive as the fans are on Saturday. So that I think is one thing that I'm really looking forward to. But I think as the week has gone on, you know, my confidence in whether Tennessee can or can not win this game has kind of gone back and forth. And I think a lot of it really maybe comes down to like three areas, right? Like the offensive line needs to not contribute to self-inflicted wins, especially when you're, you know, inside the 30, 25 yard line. I think phase on Brandon needs to be able to get it in tight windows to maybe over dairiest Jackson. And I think if we want to go back on deep and they need to keep our training as uncomfortable as possible for six minutes.

16:22I know you guys have probably talked about the Ohio State game and you saw how much success they were having when they made arch uncomfortable for 30 minutes. And I think the job we made the adjustments and Texas goes on to win. So I think it's what we've seen for the first three weeks is real evidence of what the defense can look like. And maybe it's just scratching the surface of, you know, how elite they can be, especially when we start seeing more of those disguises in the coverage. I think that'll go a long way in preventing, you know, archmaning from connecting with his two favorite targets down field. And hopefully that altogether that worked out gives to the sea a chance. But I hope this is one that's going to be at minimum is competitive in here. That would be something that made it from a moral side would be nice to see. You know, when this game was announced that it was going to be a new kickoff, I turned to Caner and I said, maybe Will will still my co host will still like co host. And I said, I truly believe this gives Tennessee the best chance of beating Texas. Yes, it's already at home. But to me, it just seems like right out of the gate early morning, let's get it on strap the gloves on and let's just start sparring.

17:27And then now we get closer to this game. And I'm thinking, I'm going to say, you know what page? I don't care if they played it noon or they played at seven o'clock. To me, it just seems like because of the atmosphere on top of Steve's or Keesion, who by the way, two and three on the road in 2025. And his only wins were in overtime to get to Tokyo Mississippi State. And I'll add, he's got a losing record on the road away from his own zip code. I just. It just seems like that this is just the ample opportunity right here, right for the picking for Tennessee to be able to steal a game against Texas. Despite the fact I don't believe they've been tested to the best of their abilities for the first 12 quarters of football this season. Your thoughts. No, I totally agree. And I think you're even going back to the summertime when you know you're doing these way too early prediction. Right. You know what? Well, Tennessee's record be a Texas is certainly one that I circle like it's kind of see once to be a double digit win team. I saw Texas as one that they would have to quote feel and I think being at home being the fourth game of the season kind of played a lot in the Tennessee favorites before you can really build all of that momentum.

18:29You've got the home crowd. I'm confident in what we've seen from phase on brand and I think if you can connect a little bit on the short to intermediate passes and you know put together a 12 play drive. It doesn't have to be these explosive two minute drives and I think you start putting yourself in a really good position. I think I might have had more confidence in Tennessee's offensive line in the summer. I'm still I'm not selling on the online. Maybe I'm holding on the online at this point, but I think a lot can come down to. Okay, you have a freshman quarterback back there. If there's pressure on anybody, it's got to be the offensive line to give him a clean pocket. So he doesn't have an internal clock that's fed up and he's maybe not seeing an open receiver who's there. He touched it and runs maybe a beat too early. And I think that probably if Tennessee's offensive line can look like the veterans that they are. I think that really just Tennessee a good chance to quote feel this game despite being you know the home underdog. I think maybe in that area is where I have a lot of my confidence thing how does Tennessee can win.

19:31But I think it's another day I like their chances. Page you got Cam Coleman Ryan Wingo. Emmett Mosley. TJ Metcalfe spoke in this week. Anthony point decks are spoken this week. Kind of what what's the what's the game playing the thoughts on that matchup with the explosive wideouts for Texas and a secondary for Tennessee. This is a good job. But again, hasn't been tested like it's going to be tested until Saturday. I think that's literally the biggest thing. I mean, even the cornerbacks coach the other week was maybe kind of sounding some of those alarms. It's like, yeah, you know, we've done a good job in these certain areas. But you know, it's been tested on these explosive passes that could be a you know, 60 yard touchdown so it's like really where are we and I think for that room. And some capacity has been hard to get that temperature checked because the defensive line has been so disruptive that the quarterback has had time even if they wanted to get down field to get down field. So this is kind of an interesting kind to get your first real test in a big you know time time type game against Texas. But I think from what we know you guys from their laptops to what they did last year.

20:38There should be a lot of confidence in that group. I think they've got like three or four guys during the 22 mile an hour club. So we know they've got speed. We can guess on what they did after last stop go back to tie red men and being thrown into the into the team was at 19 snaps into the season after. But he gets and gets and dirt again. Serah to since everything that he was able to do and he's actually been really interested in details this season. I think that details going to probably transition to him getting a few be getting an interception that he might have not been able to do had it been this time last year. So I think that's one of the things that he didn't have is fundamentals. But yeah guys like K and me. I want to see that speed. Hi red men. I want to see that see go if they make plays on the ball and have that be ways that you can limit. You know explosive plays from archmanding but I mean those guys together. I think they both have double digit receptions together more than 300 yards and six touchdowns. So I think that's the three games into the season. Clearly you know those big bodies receivers. What are they six 263 like 210 like they are they are big and they are fast and they can certainly make place through contact. So I think those guys have a tall order and fun of them. And again it's probably not going to be a little time to get your first real test.

21:54You know I mean they go because Braille is daily and radar is jacked in practice you know all the time. So I think they have good training and now it's just relying on your preparation and making sure you've got good you know situational discipline and can stay in phase with your guys is that you can make a play when you need to page last one. It's tough to really kind of predict what will happen fans. Game play and it's also going to be a kickoff at noon. You were here covering Alabama Tennessee 2022 Todd Kelly Jr. that you have on Fridays joins us Wednesdays before you go on he played in the 2015 Oklahoma game that Baker came in here and stole. What needs to happen on Saturday for this to go down is one of the biggest games not only in the football programs history but ever played at Neal and Stadium. Yeah I think it's going to come down to your freshman quarterback you've got to be able to make place to keep pace with the next both of Texas offense. I think a lot of that is going to be connecting I think with a red area's Jackson right might Matthew really daily they're not speaking up on anybody so if they are tightly covered.

22:59Where there is Jackson needs to be that third wide receiver that based on branding can trust and he's done a really good job of turning you know five yards into 15 and I think that's where Tennessee is up feeling these games maybe putting together boring drives are allowing where Jerry is Jackson to create a place with his legs because you know he's a big body receiver as well he's got a lot of speed to him and he does a really good job of breaking in his route to create extra space and I think this kind of has his name written all over to make place. And help his quarterback in based on Brandon and hopefully yeah the fans are there you know it's just as usual to buy by get from Josh Hyple and the only time that looks like he was thinking about cracking us mile was talking about whatever the fans have to do to be ready at noon be ready to go at noon so I think he as much as everybody else is looking forward to a really hot down environment and you know being disruptive and keeping maybe arch and the offense on their heels but yes he is going to come down to face on really stepping into that. Next up and not really being that true freshman quarterback start looking like a more complete quarterback I think is the next up for him.
