Tupac Murder Trial Begins in Las Vegas | Belfast News

The trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, accused of orchestrating Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder, has begun in Las Vegas — with prosecutors painting him as the mastermind behind a revenge plot fueled by his nephew’s beating, while the defense fiercely disputes the case’s foundation, calling it fiction built on an unreliable witness and flawed investigation. Audio confessions, memoirs, and eyewitness accounts from that chaotic night are central to the prosecution’s case, but defense attorneys are challenging every claim, citing missing evidence, detective bias, and attempts to tie Davis to other high-profile shootings. With Tupac’s family watching from the courtroom, this decades-old tragedy is once again at the center of a gripping legal battle that could reshape how history remembers one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures.
