Drew McIntyre here from WWE, wielding the Claymore can be a life of chaos. When I'm not dominating in the ring, Chumba Casino is how this warrior takes a re-break. With hundreds of online social games and new weekly releases, there's always something fresh to try. And those daily boosts, next level, even my free time feels like foul-halling. So when life feels like a battle, kick up your feet, have some fun, and let's Chumba. You've been watching President Trump's very first cabinet meeting since the war in Iran began. And boy, if we learn a lot, we learned what the president is. Now President Trump two days ago had said that Iran gave him a present, but that he could not reveal what the president was, because it could have set negotiations. And in a little teasing there with Steve Woodcoff, he told us what the president was. Eight oil tankers sent through the Strait of Hormuz. He said that Iran said they will sail up tomorrow, and that was three days ago.
We also learned a little bit more about the timeline. Four to six weeks is what they had estimated for this Iran excursion as the president calls it. He said we are way ahead of schedule. And Steve Woodcoff confirming the widely reported notion from the Wall Street Journal that there's a 15-point plan that has been presented to Iran through Pakistani Intermediaries. That was confirmed as well. All of this amid the DHS shut down as it cripples travelers and TSA agents go looking at a second paycheck this Friday without pay. Lots of news out of that cabinet meeting. We will get to all of it. Hello, this is outnumbered. I'm Kayleigh McAnony. Here's my co-host, Emily Campagno. Also joining us, Martha McCallum, anchor of the story. Lydia Hu, lawyer and Fox Business correspondent, and John U, former deputy assistant attorney general UC Berkeley professor. And former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Martha, one of the big takeaways was the present. And it is always interesting to watch this in real time. He asked Steve Woodcoff if he could reveal it. Not sure if there was a nod or not, but we learned about those eight oil tankers that went through the straight of form moves.
Indeed. You know, I think especially at the top of this news conference when he was going, when the president was going around the table. I feel that we got a sense of where everyone stands, who is advising the president on this. And you can sense that he is obviously very committed, as he said at the end, to making the world a safer place. And how is that negotiation going? The question of these 15 points, which you just mentioned. And I just want to bring up what Steve Woodcoff said specifically. Because I don't think in the past we have heard from Steve Woodcoff sitting at the table in a moment like this. So I think it was very significant that he had time to speak and to outline something about how these negotiations are going. And he talked about how he and Jared Kushner are pursuing this diplomatic resolution, which we know the president would love to see work. And Woodcoff said, however, it became quite clear during these meetings with the Iranian negotiating team that we could not make a deal that fulfilled your objectives of the following.
No enrichment whatsoever. No weaponizing or decommissioning of Fordo and he went on. He said throughout our meetings, we heard the following from the Iranians. They have an inalienable right to enrich. This is what the Iranians are telling them. We heard that they possessed enough 60% enriched material to make 11 atomic bombs and that they would not give up diplomatically. What they could not win militarily, which has been the president's goal here to see if there is an opportunity to solve some of this diplomatically and to put this war behind us. But he continues to emphasize and you hear this from Marco Rubio very emphatically saying, we will not leave a danger like this in place. They are religious fanatics, they are attacking embassies in hotels and they cannot have a nuke. The president is protecting not just us but the whole world. So really interesting what we learned in there today. And it was fascinating to learn about when we got here. We know Steve Woodcoff told Sean Hannity the Iranians walked in and bragged about having enough uranium to make 11 nuclear weapons.
We heard that again from Steve Woodcoff today. He called the proof incontrovertible that Iran was not someone you could negotiate with on the outset of this. And the Wall Street Journal, John, reported earlier in the week that this 15 point plan called on Iran to dismantle its three main nuclear sites and any enrichment on Iranian soil to spend the ballistic missiles work and curb support for proxies. And it went on. He said he would not confirm the exact terms there, understandable. But we did learn a little bit about the posture. He said it's resulted in strong and positive messaging back and forth. This is President Trump, I think, as I've seen him at the most mature. He's not joking around. He was telling a little bit about jokes about Governor Newsom who deserves it. But for most of the press conference, he was serious. You could see the burden of responsibilities weighing heavier on him. And he wants to show that the peace terms are no longer about meddling with Iran's internal affairs. It's ending the threat that Iran has posed to the rest of the world. And he emphasized that at the very end of the press conference.
And that's why I really think I've spent my career studying wartime presidents. And today I thought this... Tyler Reddick here from 2311 Racing. Victory Lane? Yeah. It's even better with Chamba by my side. Race to ChambaCasino.com. Let's Chamba. Don't purchase necessary. VTW Group. Boy, we're prohibited by law. CTNCs. 21 Plus. Sponsored by Chamba Casino. It's for the first time as a wartime president. He said, we are bearing the burden for the world. We are stopping a nuclear threat armed with ballistic missiles. And how does Iran respond by trying to destroy the world economy? So, he made clear this is not for the United States that we're doing. This is for the rest of the world. And that's unfortunately America's world. And to that end, it was very serious. And he had strong messaging Emily for our allies. He said 25 years ago, I said NATO was a paper tiger. You know, that has essentially been proven. He said they did not come to our rescue. They now want to help now that the other side has been annihilated. A real recalibration of really our relations across the...cross ocean. Indeed.
Because we've seen in our Middle East ally ship throughout this entire conflict, really stepping up to the plate and explicit messaging, both from actual messaging and from actions that they're on our side, that they've aligned themselves with the American objectives and certainly have condemned Iranian actions or Islamic Republic actions. I think that my whole takeaway from that cabinet meeting was that there's operational urgency at home and there's controlled pressure abroad. And if I may, just to sum up my takeaways of a few of them, because Secretary Mullen, for example, he talked about, we are at a critical threshold with staffing for DHS. Take a note, Democrats. I mean, we've talked about the nauseating human effect where our TSA agents are going to food banks and having to take out loans and genuinely worried about making rent that I can't even about that. But he talked about the fact that it was a cascading potential delay worldwide effect. And the nucleus of this all is illegal immigration. The nucleus of this all is our commitment to enforcement of illegal immigration.
And Secretary Duffy talked about the system fragility right now that all of this is not limited to TSA agents. The whole point is that there's a ripple effect amongst or throughout all of the agencies and every secretary was mentioning that. And then the Secretary of State to that point about foreign affairs diplomacy is open, but leverage is the priority. And I think what comes in here is not only the ability for our military to sustain. We've talked about in this 15-point analysis and the negotiations back and forth. Really, the tipping point is, at what point does the cost of war become untenable for either side? And we can go on all day. So right now it's up to Iran to step up to the plate and say all right. And I think President Trump has demonstrated a flexibility as such where we're not coming in as a round-housing military might figure where we're coming in genuinely seeking peace, which means a little bit of flexibility, but flexibility required on their end too. Lydia, what's on everyone's mind is gas prices. And he talked about oil and he talked about Venezuela and changing the relationship there. He even joked that he might challenge Chelsea Rodriguez
because he's so popular in Venezuela. But it was interesting to hear that what's your economic takeaway. You know, it's some really actually encouraging and the reasons to be optimistic at this moment. You know, the good thing about what's happening in Venezuela right now is that oil production is on the rise. And so we can see some production coming from there. The question is, I think to President Trump's point is how long can we rely on that? As long as Chelsea Rodriguez is there and cooperating. Wonderful to see that relationship working for now. But it would be great to know that we can rely on that on the long term. I really enjoyed hearing from Secretary Scott Beston. Our Treasury Secretary, because he underscored how our nation's energy policies are really affording us the opportunity to go hard at Iran. Yes, oil is a global commodity. And yes, what happens in the Middle East absolutely impacts the gas prices that we're seeing here at home. But the U.S. is maintaining its oil production dominance and its energy producer producing more energy now than it ever has. We actually get weekly and energy inventory reports just yesterday. We are higher than the five-year average for this time period now.
If we weren't in such a position of strength for our own energy independence, perhaps we wouldn't be able to pursue Iran like this right now because we'd be even more vulnerable to disruption overseas. With that being said, the Strait of Hormuz remains a critical issue that needs to be resolved to maintain the flow of oil through the strait. Looking at what Wall Street is expecting, Deutsche Bank just put out a survey this morning of Wall Street investors. They're expecting to see the Strait open maybe later this summer, perhaps June. So I think we should buckle up. We can't see volatility for a while. But it is a lot of reason to be encouraged and optimistic at the moment. Hey everyone, I'm Emily Camponio.
