The phone, I was like, thank you, sir. You know, there's like, bro, it's Jamie Foxx, bro. Like, I got respect. I'm in the rent house. How would I do just do my thing in the backyard? Still in his house, right? How should we walk back in, we go to the studio? It is. Hacked in the studio. God, I mean, everything you want is going on. I would have her and that, start playing all go everything back to back to back to back to back to back to back, bro.
MUSIC Hey, what up, this is Boyd, David Lucas, another episode of Fish With David Lucas. And today, I got the extraordinary Tritajane. God, dammit, this is my couch. He actually brought the sun, bro. Y'all don't know, it was actually cloudy. You all dead, man. See how I feel? I'm going to throw the one here. I'm just going to throw it here because you clean. Oh, I don't know. It was cloudy. You just going to pull a worm out like that? Yes, sir. Damn, I know that we're in the country, but you're looking at my pants. I ain't that country. Just worm in my face. David, try to catch some, bro.
What last time you went fishing? Man, you're going to put me on the spot, bro. It's been actually a few years, man. Shout out to my boy, Aaron, man. Last time I went fishing was in Austin, Texas. Onward, ladybird. Nah, man, my buddy. He had a little creek that we went down to. So real country boy fishing. Caught some small, last fish and ate it. Oh, yeah, that's catchin' these always fun. I legit love the fish. What's it called, man? That's a blessing. Ooh, I thought you'd buy the throw that shit in my mouth. That's a good god of money, David. What is going on with you? We just met. Throw my words in my mouth with a fishing rod. First of all, you're mission impossible. But then you're a freaky frog. Who's that guy behind you? Oh, ask Kumote. Yep. Kumote. Yep. What's good? I feel like I've heard that name before. Look at this. Look at this. You bringin' the bees with the yellow bees. You don't want the taste like honey? He said I taste like honey, no.
Jesus. Shout out to that boy Trident, Go all in my, whoo, everything. Pants. Yeah, you know. Go all in my shoes. Go all in my socks. Action, put my socks up. I like that new song you just drop. Which one you like? The one you did on, what you call it, thing? The waterfall. Woo, yeah. I'm about to have a great day. Mama good, pepper straight, daddy bills, paint, Afro other driers, bad bitch with a fade, especially habits, baby. Bro, how did you feel when you dropped that song? Go there and play? How did I feel? But when I dropped it, explain what you mean more. Because that's a loaded question, right? Like exactly when I dropped it. So as a, when they got started popping. Okay, so as an artist. Yes, sir. Everything we dropped, we think is genius. No, really? No, everybody dropped you don't think is, what you call it, bro, I come from the raw, raw part of creativity. Really?
So I come from, I'm the first of my lineage. I'm the blueprint of my archetype. Okay. And what I mean by that is that it's no other nigga that I had to really be my mentor. I pulled from everything I saw and then you created turn of that James. So when I was doing it, you couldn't be as confident to know that like this is genius. I'm just being me based off what I created out of everything I saw growing up. But I mean like, I was raising makin'. When you know, when you go out of town, people hear makin' they say Atlanta. Right. makin' bacon. makin' bacon. That's the basketball team or baseball team or some shit. Thistic is not for makin'. I mean, I grew up there. I was only done for a few years. Then I'm with LA. They taught you how to fish and you don't know if the bacon is for basketball or the bass is all of them bro. Jeez. It was a crash. But, not go ahead. Growing up in Georgia, period bro, you learned that like y'all in Atlanta have always had y'all own swag. And I feel like y'all were like light years ahead of everything like, ask him what's that? Yep.
What about no? Yep. Okay. But no, yeah, that's having us like continue. Okay. Light bro. Young LA. Legend. He should shop for me. Jay money. You should shop for him. For an A.L.A. That was what, 20 years ago? Just about, put like this. 15, 16. Next year, every 15 years for me. Okay. And then proud of that, Jay money was shopping with me. So that was say about 17, 18 years ago, almost 20. Wow. But see what I'm saying bro, that was ahead of his time. And now you hear everybody doing the melodic rap. Yes. Okay. I'll take it further back than that. Kilo I Lee. Ooh, that's my name. Baby, baby. What you to know, that. Okay. Kilo I Lee, Rahinda DREAM, like bro. Rahinda DREAM. I leave. What are you showing your grades? Atlanta, Ben Hart. I mean, I listed it for my mama. Shut up, mama, mama. So you don't like hearing all this bro.
Now we tell my 25, 30 years ago. Wow. But when I was a kid, if I'm not mistaken, Rahinda DREAM actually put on the dream. For real? Yeah, I think I saw something where Rahinda DREAM was like, if you go look at some old Rahinda DREAM, like covers or something like that, I think the dream is on there looking the youngest of my life. But that goes to even speak to you of the type of sauce that comes from this place of Georgia Atlanta, right? And I feel like, especially like your generation of rappers, now is a different thing where rappers coming out of Atlanta because everything is like rap. It's not very avant-garde. They're scared to tap into their creed. How does that verse used to be, right? It's not a diverse it used to be because like when I first moved to LA, you could tell the nigga from a certain city. But now with the internet and all this shit, everybody looked the same. Nope. It ain't like New York don't got to look. LA don't got to look. Atlanta don't got to look no more. Because it used to be, I had it in high school brother Mohawk with the lines.
Of course. Of course. That's no more. Everybody wants to look the fucking sign. There's no creativity and people are scared to be expressive. Some people are scared to be expressive. But I'm saying as a general consensus, most people are scared to be expressive. Well I want to counter that a little bit. And what I mean by that is that I think that now expressive has become mainstream and it's kind of like a little like abrasive. You think it's socially accepted for blacks though? Well the thing with us is that we were trained to battle each other. So no matter what we're doing, it's kind of unfortunate because it's like we're not doing anything we're not supposed to be doing. We kind of set the tone for everything that's done. Right. And so like when we do it and ridicule each other for it, it's like, well bro, what are you spending to do? Right. This ain't new. Nigga's been doing it. Actually. High school with that. Yep. Okay. What are you fighting about? That's cool.
What are you from? Yep. But now I brought up. Think about it. Like what I have on right now, right? I got these pants made custom. These shoes came out a couple years ago. These would be my platform, dance and shoes. This shirt I bought this year. This outfit to somebody will be like, damn boy, you he doing too much. You got a heel on the stage like bro, Bootsy Cottonwood is 40 years ago. Right. But before Bootsy Cotton got that from somebody else. Right. 20 years prior to him. This is not, I mean like when I go look at all that old news, once I grew that thing, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, man. Time to tell you. Forever. Okay. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. Good to you. But that's what I'm saying bro. Like it wasn't even them saying the way he way.
And like I watched a lot of those old videos from like soul training shit. Yes, sir. These things had all the nipples up. Yes, sir. But you know what I'm saying? And probably was fucking all the holes. And probably didn't care who called them gay. I feel like when you see it, the thing about it is we always speak from the standpoint of like what we assume, right? Because we want in the era. But if you kind of like really take a don't listen to the white noise and like pay attention with our own eyes. If you pay attention to it, bro, you'll see that like if everybody's like this at the soul, if you look at soul training back in there, if everybody's like this, then that maybe his main stream. So like gay was closeted. Right. Gay was closeted back then, bro. You couldn't be openly gay. No, it was closeted. So nobody was gay at the soul training. But even I wasn't high school gay, look at me though. But you're young still. Right. You weren't soul trained. You said in soul trained, everybody's like that. So whoever was gay, you wouldn't know who was gay because your outfit didn't make you gay. Right. You were gay. Your outfit didn't make you gay.
Somehow as time continued, clothes now determines your gender, your sexuality, whatever. And that's unfortunate because it's like, okay, you know, you don't have to be that way. You know what I'm saying? Because you could dress like this and be fucking me into death. That is true. You know what I'm saying? But you can also dress like this and be like, so I'm not fucking me into death and that's never been the case. Right. How would that ever but should I say like, nah, I want to dress like this is like, nah, I want to dress like this because this is how I express myself. Right. As a straight man. Right. You know, so it is unfortunate. And there's some group of women who fuck with that. Oh my God. Like, bro, you said on social media, girls show these posts all the time, brain back the waves and fades. But you brought me the Jerry curve. The easy. Come on. I was coming to. Yeah. Yeah. You did that. Yep. I got to give you one of the brain. You guys show me like, wow, what is Amazon Prime? But what? That's Cometa. Amazon Prime. Yep. That's Cometa. This is crazy, bro.
I wish I had this much order to just have a nigga. That is. Yeah. That is. It's so beautiful. The grass is right there. Yeah. That is crazy. Like, if you look and then look on both sides and then right there. It's paradise. You see how you pay attention to the eyes? I was like, dim. And then the light is right there. That's really how life is. But you know how the difference? There's not trees blocking the direct sun. Everybody's getting the chance to shine. Everybody's getting the chance to shine. But that's how it is. Everybody wants your shine. You are the middle. Yeah. And everybody on the outside won't end. Yeah. They wish they were over there. They're like, they're talking to you. I'm not in there. Right. All these other things. They wish they was over there. Exactly. Exactly. I mean, they were over there. And they were over there. You know, they were over there. And they were over there. But they were over there. They were over there. They were over there. But they really wanted light. That's the life that we live in right now. That is true. That's the life, bro. That is true. I'm trying to tell you bro. Like in your shine, bro, everything.
Think about how long you've been telling jokes, bro. Until when jokes started to become in currency. Your jokes are currency. Right. Anything that you say right now. If you say the right thing right now. And this time. Can pay you, actually pay you. Can pay you, because you can pay for it. Snippet. Right. Roasting. That change where you did a lot of free jones for free. However, a lot of free jokes for free. And then the day that changed, it changed you too. It did. It's always weird, bro. You remember the joke that made you rich? Oh, that's a great question. I gotta say that. I think it's, I'm still not rich yet. I'm rich in spirit. But also rich is different for, okay, that changed your trajectory. I remember the instant I don't necessarily remember the joke. Okay. What was the instance? I was on Kill Tony. Yes. I was roasting Michael Bissbing, a UFC fighter. Okay. And the place that moment, and that wasn't a joke, it was just the combination of you and this moment.
Right. They laid the bridge. They did a rose. Right. They applied the heat to it. Right. Okay. The moment that I saw the fight, I was like, I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it. For me, for me, like, not in that moment, but when I look back, I'm like, oh, that's where people was like, I, it wasn't just the one in Dunn. Okay. And then sometimes, like, I don't go on Kill Tony as much. So sometimes, I got to come back and remind him. Oh, fuck going on. Oh, shit. Yeah. And you know, you get new followers watching the show. The people that know know the long time fans have been watching it for eight, nine years, ten years, no. It's popularity in its mainstream. It was on Netflix. With the image. Right. Right. So now you got these new friends. And then they'll be like, oh, who the fuck is this guy? Yeah. Good job being here. Being they do a deep dive. You know what I'm saying? And this I've been here. Right. Now, let me ask you this. You know, I'm setting up something here based on what you had pitched my way. Okay. Now that moment with Michael Bezzett, right? Mm-hm. Going into it. Did you know you were about to have a genius set?
Did you know, like the genius of it? No. Right? So I said at the set, it's the same equipment as all the way. I just do it with me. I just did it at a comedy shop. I would have another day in the studio making a song. I would have like, this is my first project. So I was working on my first music ever. Oh, for real? My first music ever. All go everything is the number eight song I recorded into my first 12 songs. My project is 10 songs. Yeah. Based out of the first 12 songs I read. Damn. Think about that. So it's impossible to know genius in the product, to know her first and the person. I saw, I knew I was gonna get this name. Hey guys, ask commentator. When I fell in love with all go everything, I was at a, they had a viewing party for Django and they played that song. Oh my God. And Quentin Tantino was trying to dance. Yes. I'm pretty sure if you, I'm pretty sure you can find it on YouTube somewhere. Right. Was it that magic city?
No, it was an LA. Oh, it was that actual thing. Okay, it was, it was that actual Jamie Foxx was hosting that he played that. Oh yeah, see Jamie, it's so funny you bring it up. So it was a little small story time. I'm a basketball person. That's what I thought was gonna help me, you know, make it in America when I came in as an immigrant. How I'ma didn't work out from training that. Oh, yeah, racist. David's a racist. Am I racist? That's Quentin. What's the guy? Is a fucking eight ball with one answer. The magic eight ball. You just shaking it. It's the same fucking. My routine is crazy. Not just sometimes it's all the time. I travel all the time. I have to podcast all the time so that I can make sure I make in dope content for my fans. And I hope you guys enjoy it. But my travel schedule is crazy. And I'm not able to slow down. Get started at chat GPT.com by selecting work mode available on plus and pro plants. Anyways, small story time, basketball background, love it, then make it. Anyway, so he's still in me. So I play every time. You like pros who'll be hooping the heels or shit? Oh, bro. You niggas know how I get down in these. My TikTok people. And so they hit me and they're like, yo, we going to Jamie House in LA. You know he's staying to plan it. And he got this. Yeah, like this is the, it's still more. Right. And the, I'm like, I bet it's like, no, it's not.
It's a basketball game. It's serious. I was like, all right, bet. But when we pull up, how that really really is serious. It's packed. It's free. I mean, at any given day, he'll have 600,000. Like I was like, oh shit, like whole court is full. All the stands, everything, everywhere wrapped around tigers playing, everybody's playing. I was like, you know, if tigers playing, like this is a real celebrity game. He's a real L.A. celebrity, right? And so boom. I have a game, bro. I have one of them days. You know, like, hey, you just have one of them days. I go for my 27. No bullshit. Everybody like, god damn what the fuck? Because nobody knows nothing about me. I look like this. So you assume so many things. Like, he knows that like niggas dribbling dick, like no, niggas. I'm a basketball player, right? You know, real hoopa, ask him a tell. And the after it, I would ever like, I'm in my bag mentally. So I'm like, the best thing I could do right now
is just walk out. I would have like, leave with everything high. Right. Cause I stay here too long. Right. Or going where I'm going. Yeah, it's like now, the or is so high. He's like, now I niggas leave. So I tell my probably like, niggas, it's cold. We leaving out. Or that we get to the front. I take a long while to get the front of Jamie House. Cause it's big. However, this thing could come running out of the door. I would have kind of slowed me down. He had this crazy truck. I think it's called like a run. They do it. The res, yeah, that's res. Yeah, the res. The res. The real one. Yeah, it was black at the time. It was great. Great. The gray res. But this is early. It's when he first fell like, but nobody know. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is. Like, I'm like, so that's stopping. If I'm like, bro, do you see that? I think it rich. It's like, I'm just with my niggas. I'll have it because I have some other land in niggas with me. So we on that type of time. I'm like, I think it's not that rich. Right. And then come running out. Jamie. Niggas, where you going? I think it's me wanting. Like, it was all right. And I was like, nah, nigga, I don't have a bro. Nigga, we go to his studio. You didn't get a studio in the middle. I would have, nigga, we get in there.
Start telling me about like, nah, nigga, I'll go everything is a thing to me. The song, I was like, thank you, sir. You know, those air types shit like, bro, his Jamie Foxx bro, like, I got respect. I'm in the rent house. I would have, I did just do my thing in the backyard. Right. Still in his house, right? So shit, we want back in the studio. Niggas is packed in the studio. Nigga, I mean, everything you want, nigga is going on. I would have, and that nigga started playing all go everything back to back. So back to back to back to back bro and making, making sure everybody party and nonstop. How about a good 11 times back to back bro. And then he was like, thank you. And we left. And that was it. Most of the crazy little moment. So I feel that he put Tarantino on. I don't know how to say this. Once you get past the initial layer.
Because around every, every celebrity there's an invisible fence. Yes. Yes. And if you can make it past that invisible fence to get into his circle, you're going to feel like you grew up with his nigga. Yes. Yes. You want some of the drink? Straight into the bridge? I should be cleaning the floors in this bitch. I'm going to get me a bottle of water. No, I can't let you do it. Real one bro. Real one. But you said the right thing that you have to understand how to get inside. Right. You can't do too much. It's a weird, because celebrities are so guarded. Because even where I'm at in my career, now it's like, who really is this nigga trying to come over, slip and fall? Is he just really trying to get close? Oh, can I meet Roman? You don't like anything? Like trying to get into my fault. Who introduced me to post? Who ever? Right. So it's like, you got to really be like, I, this nigga, I know, ask him a ton. So it's like, it's weird how it becomes because the higher you climb, you can really only
hang with niggas with their own motion. Yes. The um, I know it sounds crazy. Man, it's true. The universe puts you in that place anyways. I think the, the, the, what you have to remember is that when you start having less and less people around you that inspire you and just niggas around you that got motion. Right. Because what type of motion are you into? Right. You talking with inspiration most? I like it's like bro, like when you start making money, you realize like when is it? It'll come in a little. Yeah, it'll come in a little go. And what's your learn how to make it? You know how to make more of it. But it's like, no, what is the legacy you want to leave? What if the greatness you want to leave? Not just, all I think it was, oh, no, no, what are we doing now? Legacy. That's one of my favorite words this year. I'm happy you said I, I noted that word is chasing me. So I noted I'm aligned. I can see every time I've been talking to people that I'm having good combo with, that word comes up. So I know that you are you personally. You have a seat. It's niggas standing up like when a fairer comes bodyguard.
That's cool, Mate. Yep. Yeah, have a seat, bro. Relax, man. We good. I got a gun. You got a gun. I'm in the country, man. We ain't nobody for the body. No, no, we over here. That's cool, Mate. Yeah. Shout out to Kumite. I'm going to get me one after the show, brother, brother, brother. Any niggas want to be my Kumite? Just stand behind me everywhere in life. You can't say number, yep. Two P's. Two P's is amazing. But did you, even though you said you was just doing your normal thing, did you feel like, did you feel kind of like annoyed when your son went, or you said that was your first project or no? Yeah. But like, it changed your life in a great way. Yes, sir. Yeah. Yeah, sir. I mean, prior to it, I mean, I was a hustler. So if I never did music ever in the day, I'd be proud to be getting something or not alive because I always make a nigga feel some type of way. Whatever, just because of doing good hustling. Right. I would have a good hustle get killed on the bad day.
It's so fortunate. That's Kumite. That's true. Yo, get this. Somebody come get this nigga. Bro, what? This nigga need his own camera. Yeah. We live in a good life, but not, but you know, in the beginning, that's the best thing that I could ever do and the reason why my career is so interesting when, you know, to people that we can have good conversation and people feel so surprised by me all the time as well. Because first of all, people downplayed me. They downplayed what it is because they never understood where it came from. And you are when you're a blueprint or something, people analyzed that. So you wasn't in the Atlanta scene like that. I was, but not the way that everybody, not like the rappers, not with the rappers. So yeah, they don't hate it. Yeah, they don't know. It's kind of like in the comedy world, if a nigga do sketches, it is not all of a sudden that he want to hang out at the comedy club. Who the fuck is this nigga? You ain't proven. And now you got to prove. But man, that's the way they go. Yeah. I actually, and the thing about it, and I understand why that wall is up, right?
Because we speak about this invisible fence. We don't have it invisible. We know we do. We all do. Famous or not, the broken nigga got an invisible fucking fence. It's a janky fence, but the motherfucker got a fence, right? It might only take a crack right to get past. Literally, literally blow that motherfucker open. But it's so weird, bro, because like what I was talking about with money, right? There is a comedian. He just, my homie, he just bought his mama $85 dollar house cash, right? He selling out everything, but he got popular on TikTok. Yes. So he didn't get the respect of like, he kept. I can walk in pretty much any green room in America, and a comedian is going to know me, and probably ask me, do I want to do some time, right? He didn't get that, right? Because he comes with a different avenue. He came from TikTok. And I'm like, nigga, who gives a fuck? Don't say that. I mean, yes. Nobody's saying nigga, I'll reach a party, give a fuck. Yeah. Andy Murphy, give a fuck. You know, and the mind of that old guard is the old guard. I think it's supposed to, brother. Right. Like that is the whole reason why you get to your Mount Rushmore.
You don't get there by just letting niggas in. Yeah. Uh, uh, OG told me, nigga, I don't pass the torch. I like your torch, because I don't know what the fuck you're doing with the real torch. Damn, I like that. I'ma use that. I'm trying to tell you. Don't pass the torch. Look at this light mind. That's cool. Say, nigga. Let me get the shout out to cool with the. But now, brother, and so I said it to say where it's like, I understand what old niggas be like, no, because I don't always have to pass you the torch. Hey, go, your flame, nigga, what you gonna do with it? Burn me down, nigga. Or sometimes you gotta earn that light. Earn it, earn it, brother. Because in my real situation, where nigga, if I like your torch, I'ma demand a little bit. And is it worth them to mount a little bit to light turns? And then is your fire a real fire or is it just how long we can hold the big? Right. Right. It's only gonna last as long we can hold the big. Right. Right. Then, brother, I'm not giving you the torch. I think I'll give you a lighter. I think that's yourself keeping on learning how to keep it on. That's real. Turn that lighter into a goddamn torch, nigga.
That's your job. That ain't my job as an OG nigga. I ain't giving you this torch. Yeah, but like for me, dog, like, even though I got a little pop along kill 20, a little popular? Well, I mean, nigga, come on. What do you mean? Even though I got a problem? They don't even let niggas on that show like that. It's true. It's a slick racist over there. It's like a redneck convenience comedy. It's great. Nah, it's cool. I'm fucking. It's all, uh, now I love comedy. I pay attention to a match here like Mark Normandy is like one of my, Norma, Norma. He's funny. One of my favorites. I love Josh. I love Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Josh. Jamieois del Beard.
Josh. Lee Rallick. Josh want more stories. Okay. Yeah. Justin Rainier of North Texas. I got this one, I got this one, just terrific. The oneavy murder, what did he say? KI Bur my friend for shows, he almost had the winner. Everyday. Somebody says, ooh. Justin fell in love with Good news. Good news right now. Hello. We'll be off the course with Evan. He's just worried for replacing Donald Trump. He says, 對. because COVID changed a lot. But when I admit something, or something to be a fucking door guy. Mm. Oyster is everybody. Let's go to hell! There was a certain satisfaction on your work with someone. Maybe we could be a family. He also did stick pick. The paper, new season streaming September 9th, only on Peacock. This show gives me a reason to laugh. So I became a door guy and a regular on kill Tony at the same time, right? Wow. And at that point, all the black comings I read were, how the fuck you do that, bro? You be saying nigga, you be saying bitch, you don't change shit. Bro, they fuck with us. But what you got to do is commit. Like, the year that was transformational for me, bro, me and my girl at the time was about to move back this way. From a light to back here. Because I told her, and she wanted to kill, and I already had one, and I'm like, if I'm gonna be working a fucking job, hustling,
baby. The fuck I'm gonna do it to pay five grand a month, huh? I think at that time, maybe 32 hundred. I said, I'm gonna go wait. I can find another job like this. I go, we go get some shit in Florida, Georgia, and be Gucci. It's just like, but you're not gonna be happy. I'm like, fuck it. Like, you wanna start a family? I had accepted. I would just be the family, man. Right, right? I was in my, what, mid 20s, mid to going towards my late 20s. Mid 20s, I think I was 26, 27, okay? And I'm like, fuck it. I was like, fuck it. Yo, head at least. Yeah, that's it. So I'm like, fuck it. We'll just move back home. And then I just come out here every now and again, and figure it out. So, in 2018, she told me, and this is why I told her I got it for the rest of her life. In 2018, she told me, she said, you can work part time or not work at all. I'm gonna support you for one year. But you better chase your fucking dreams every day. So coming up to 2019, I'm praying. I'm talking to God, like God, like, I just need a sign.
Like, a nigga's desperate. I'm like, I need a sign, bro. Like, fuck with me. Like, I'm like, I'm like, it could just be small. Fair enough. Just give it to me. Just let you rock through the fence. Because I'm like, let me know if I'm supposed to be here. Because I don't wanna be 50 years old. Cause you see that out there. Oh, trust me. 50 years old, should've been there. Bop, I respect you too, but I see it. 50 should've could've would've ain't never had shit, didn't have no kids, family. Don't sabotage every relationship we have. That's just chasing the dream of no means shit. So I was praying and I'm like, God, I just need a sign. Like, just give me something. So, I was doing Rose Battle at the comedy store in 2018, 2017. Yes. And I went to audit this acting class. So you sit in on the acting class to see like, if you wanna take it. Okay. They let you sit in for fun. Okay. You don't get it. But you get to sit in. You get to audit it. So when I'm in there, I meet this nigga named XC. XC Booker, shout out to XC. He book a lot of shit. And I'm talking about this nigga is militant with the acting.
Like, he's like, nigga, if you ain't gonna be serious, I ain't gonna fuck with you. You know, like that time. Yeah, well, that'd be dead ass when they did that. So I started hanging with him a lot. And I went to a premiere. And I met a nigga named Fyce. He was a manager. Okay. And he was like, yeah, I don't fuck with you. You got a manager. I was like, I don't got nothing bro. I'm out here. Now, I don't know, nigga, I don't even know how to get a manager. Well, I'm your manager. One week later, I booked a movie. One week later, bro. This is like the second week in January. It was a bullshit movie. But it was a movie. Hey. And I asked God for a sign. I said, all I needed is, is that I'm about to say, look, okay, continue. So I booked that movie and I started crying. I don't think it paid number like maybe $1500. But to me at that time, nigga, that's 15 million. Oh, hey, dude. Come on, ask him what you got. You know what I'm saying? So I did that. And I started hanging at the comments all the time.
Because I was like, I, I'm going to focus on one club. Everybody had that club on my name. I'm going to go there and be a great guy and talk to everybody. And I did that. And then I finally started getting on family and friends, okay, which is like a step to becoming a regular or a dog guy. And then Adam, shout out to Adam Eget. I remember one day, I think Quincy weekly had called me. And he was like, because I was telling them I was at the store, but I want to be a door guy. That's what I want. Access. Yeah, I want to be a door guy. And mind you, I had did at this time, I had did roast me and all that shit. But fortunately, unfortunately, it made me popular, but there was just no break. You know what I'm saying? And I mean, I learned more now about how much and what you can pay niggas. But I just reached the point. I'm like, man, I'm giving away my intellectual property for fucking $200 episode. Millions of niggas is watching this. My grandkids are being watched this shit. And dad is still got to go work for the job.
Right. It's ridiculous. So Adam, so Quincy Communist like Fane Child just got fired. One of the door guys got fired. So I went to Adam or they told Adam, and then Adam stopped me one day. He's like, baby, you want to be a door guy? And I'm like, yeah, because what a lot of people don't realize is because you're viral, don't mean you're rich or have money. Yeah. Like nigga, I was working at T-Mobile, I be at T-Mobile and then he's like, bro, I watch your videos. What the hell are you doing here? That's a crazy. I always used T-Mobile as the thing that has my job of like, I can't work at T-Mobile. That's always my analogy job. I work there. That's crazy. I know exactly what you mean by that. I use it as my analogy job. Like bro, what did I do at T-Mobile? I worked there because the manager was a comedian. Shout out to my boy, Trey Elliott. He just got on that new Martin Lawrence and Joe Koishah. Oh, okay. And with Barnale, they got a comedy show. Oh, got it. So he was a comedian, so he understood like vibes. Nice. So it's like you know, schedule and you know, need one of us got to work no more there. So it's like sometimes I'd be like, hey, bro, I got an audition today.
I need to take a late lunch, I'll stay later. So it was like that. So he was fired. So then Adam hired me to be a doer guy. And after that, I told my girl, I said, we made it. We made it. I was, I want to throw something. I got anything in my dress back. Hello, I told her I said, I know we made it. But can I throw something? You know how you just get a slapstick? Got a derit and I told her not to worry the most because she had been carrying me for like five years. We got to worry the most, bro. I asked him to say, but now I told her I said, we made it. And then when I got on kill Tony, bro, I didn't even want to be on kill Tony because I was so excited about being a doer guy at the comedy store. Shout out to my boy Brian Tucker. Be tough from Atlanta was in town. Okay. Let's start off the kill Tony. Man, I've been signing off the kill 24 year to have. Right. I'll never get on that shit. But he forced me and that's part of that good bullying. You got to do something when you, when you don't want to do it, do it even harder. Yeah. And my girl had already touched past your limits.
I've been watching anime this year. That's all they teach me to do. And my girl had already told me that I couldn't be home because I was supposed to be chasing my fucking dream. So like I wasn't allowed to be home, what she got off. When she get off, five, five, six, so yeah, she's a home six, 45. I'm supposed to be out there figuring out something. Figure it out. So I was like, I have a good one. Yeah, I was like, I had a brother. Let's, let's go do it. Let's go do it. And I love getting no kill Tony. That's amazing. That's amazing, bro. No, life is a, you see, things like that is why I tell people it's like, I'm not lucky on blessed. You didn't get lucky. You're blessed. You put in a lot of work to get to this thing that y'all didn't see. That's not luck. That's blessed. It's the same thing with all go everything. I put in mad work. I went to, I went to, I went to spend my money and went to mad people, other shows to study. I was like, how do you do a show? I'm like, oh, he didn't do that. You shouldn't have did that. I'm gonna do that. How about this is the year prior. This is 365 years. This is two years prior to me ever dropping on for everything.
I was already doing my homework. I already had learned from my close partners who rapping and doing the thing wrong. Right. How about I was like, ooh, I hate the way that my boys hustled with the music. Right. I love how talented they are. Whatever, but that's the difference. And I'm happy that I looked at it that way because that makes the biggest difference between when a nigga is a star and when a nigga is just talented. They don't shine the same. Right. It's two different things. It's two different things. That nigga is just talented. But he's not a star. Right. Right. It hits different, different opportunities. The opportunities hit different when a star does it. You might hate this thing about them or that, that, that, that, that, fuck you in your opinion. Right. For stars and star. Because everybody don't know how to shine, man. Right. And it's a lot that comes with that. You know what I'm saying? A lot of sports, but a lot, a lot, bro. Very spotted, man. But for me, when I got on Kill Tony, bro, I realized no matter how good I thought I was at comedy, then I didn't know shit. And I'm still learning.
Hey, man. I still, I still feel like I don't know shit about comedy. Say it, student. I still, but I had a, I had a level of frustration. Like when I got on, I'm like, man, fuck. It's weird. Like even now, bro, like doors is opening up. Like I had to mean with the people that Netflix for some movie shit. And they're like, where, where have you been? Okay. And I'm like, am I head up like they're going to be right here in your face. Putting content out five, six times a week. Nah, come on. Going on tour. They see you. Talk about it. But you know, there's a, talk about it, bitch. There's a moment. There's a moment where regardless of just like, just like you might see a bitch walking around the track a hundred times. But it might be one day you see it where it just that opportunity presents itself to where she notices you now. Nothing changed about you, but it's just something that made her say a little word. Oh, you're doing that look nice. So you're, but it's like, Nana, the more you learn, the more you kind of have to humble
yourself because you know, like how fragile and how small those windows are in this industry where you got to stay prepared. I like that song by sugar free. If you stay ready, you ain't got to get ready. Amen. And to pick it back off what you're saying, that same bitch that you see going around, thinking about how you feel when you finally see her a different life. Like, oh, yeah, that ain't a bitch. That's a, that's a good, that's a good woman right there. You know what I'm saying? So now you got such a control on the game. I would have her that like you understand you for what you need to know. But then you also understand how to treat people, right? And because that makes a big difference to a lot of times. You don't realize how we treating people or been treating people, right? Our girl, our family, our friends, or how you're just not approachable to a person that you needed to be. I didn't matter what they look like. Maybe you had a fucked up look on your mouth. Ask Coma, Ty. I don't think Poole is here. He didn't even swear. All right. The time they get down ask Coma, Ty. Did we catch anything?
Now we ain't caught shit brother. You just fucking lies make sure it works and on the bench. Let's see what we got. Word? I think I know what I'm gonna do. I see the swirls. I'm gonna bring it closer. Ah, that's what the swirls represent. I see the vibes. We got something for ya. Yeah, let's see. Got that worm dropping right where I just saw that swirl. Um, let's see what they fuck with. Oh, they that deep right there. Probably some little baitfish right there though. Okay. Little brim of some shit. What's the best lake you fished in? Or the best place for you to fish in? Oh, like I'm not. Florida, bro. Florida? Yeah. Florida better than Georgia. Fish and water. Yeah. Yeah. Heavy fishing Texas? Yeah. Damn, it was better in Texas too. Yeah. Cause I like salt water better than I like fresh water.
Um, why is that? You think you're fucking on catch a shark or stingray or goddamn. That was so big, man. I want to put it underwater. You catching a query. I like that, bro. I want to be on the ocean. This is shit like that. That's why I be in Florida. Okay, you go out there. Okay, okay, okay. I got it. I got it. That's the beauty about Florida, bro. Like if this was Florida, like we could be in the bay and we throw a shripper. You don't know. Okay. You might know, like you I'd be like, I just redfish season. You might hook a tarp in a snook, a grouper, a fucking stingray, a sh, uh, anything. God damn boy, you had this nigga talking about the fish? Jesus Christ. I think we're gonna make me want to go to Bank-A-Sifu right now. I might follow you over there. Shit, ask Coma-Tay. I ain't gonna. You gonna pay? Yep. Oh yeah. Well, shit, we going. Bank-A-Sifu, here we go. On the way. We go. Coma-Tay paying. Yeah, it's Coma-Tay. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. Coma-Tay paying. We always got two men. So like what's, what's like next for you? Like do I know you, you don't remember, but I came to your clothing shop. Maybe seven years ago. Yep. Yeah. I'm not the biggest fashion person. I'm not, it's not about that, bro. This end, you know, all you. Right. Um, I gotta, uh, me saying this right now. I'm sure it's so powerful. So I want to make sure I say it carefully. Right. I want to get more acting opportunities. Okay. You've been in some stuff. Yeah. Yeah, I've done Uncle James. We've done, um, pitch perfect three. That's the stuff with, uh, making good. No, agent? No, I never had that. I don't do auditions. Let me tell you, I got to, let me speak my speech. I don't do auditions because I already show all my characters all the time. If you, every, every movie I've got is because of the director did their homework.
He was like, damn, that's the type of nigga I'm looking for. Right. How would I ever because I show myself? I wanted, I was looking forward to do this with you. So people in the comedy world, but like, oh, that nigga's funny. Yeah, yeah. You know what I was saying? Like I need a nigga like that. Or whatever, because you know what I do on the music. Right. If you do your homework. Right. So it's like, it just makes sense. I'm just perfect. Three ladies. She didn't have to fuck with me. I would have, I didn't have to do auditions, but I didn't have to come and meet her. And after we talked based on what she saw and then what she knows, it's like, oh, this is the type of person you need if it's the right type of movie. So it's movie time now, bro. You should get agent. I should get agent. Now you're right. I should get agent. So I need an agent. You got enough pool to get an agent or a manager. You true a manager that's gonna send you out, brother. Yeah, you go. There's roles. So movies, movies, movies. Yeah. Movies, um, put it out there. That's what I want to do next, but also at the same time, I'm gonna be doing my own micro dramas until somebody. Right. Give me a big cast. The moon. That's the moon. No, it's on YouTube. There's your own book.
Somebody can find it. Some people can see what like, I got great ideas. Right. Yeah, it's just great concepts. Right. Um, so I'm gonna be doing that 2027. Yeah. Um, um, and let's get agent. Yeah, let's do it, bro. You should get agent. And you about to drop your new code and store some right? And so when we, my dad finished building our building, we're gonna have a new location for the clothing store. You got three of them on work. We're gonna have three X for sure. A better. Um, for sure. For sure. For sure. No bullshit. Um, extra smarter, three X actually. You gonna come and take them be there? Ask come and take. Huh, I'm gonna be there. You got them out of the clothes. Yep. Just stand there and say, yep, we'll niggin' about the buy it. This shirt $40, you know? Ask come and take. Who the sun came back out? Hey, man. It's the pain, bro. We appreciate you for coming on the pie, bro. We ain't catch no fish, but we had a good convo. Hey, man. Thank y'all for watching another episode of Fishin' With Dave look, as we in this Georgia swamp, this heat. Shout out to that boy. Trinidad James. Hey, I'll go there. Everything.
