Tom Cosgrove’s Island Escape & Baseball Dreams | MLB News

Tom Cosgrove, the left-handed pitcher traded to the Nationals this July, thrilled his New York roots with a hometown showdown against the Mets — and he’s still got that Survivor obsession, even if Paramount Plus is blocking the latest seasons. If stranded on an island? Fire starter and puzzle book — he’s all about mental survival. Raised in NYC cheering for Mets, Jets, Rangers, and Knicks (with a special love for Johan Santana), he spent his youth biking, basketball, and roller hockey with friends — and yes, he was voted “Most Likely to Move Away” in high school… which turned out to be spot-on. His favorite baseball trip? Korea with the Padres. For pure fun? Todos Santos, Mexico. But if he could teleport anywhere tomorrow? Back to Jupiter, Florida, where he and his fiancée soak up sun and surf.
