I'll pull that next network production. Music Welcome to the Troy Lee Designs and Race Text Expension and Engines and Blair Mathis Project. Music Yeah, welcome everybody to Troy Lee Designs, Race Tech Blair Mathis Project. I'm back. We got rid of the fraud. But ironically, the fraud is not in for this show. He's busy doing his thing. So we thank him for producing. But I'm back Steve Mathis. That's Daniel Blair. Thank you to Troy Lee Designs for coming on board the show as always. If you want to save it, Troy Lee, like I get in a sweet helmet, send us an email on a contact phone, one pulp, and we'll give you a code to save direct from Troy Lee mountain by gear, Moto gear, there are helmets is the flying eyeball thing retro deal they got. Troy Lee Designs.com and since 1981, they've been making cool shit out there. We're going to start the show by talking about a Troy Lee Designs Decoddy rider. Thank you to Race Tech engine seminars suspension seminars going on. I think soon at race tech doc race tech California office in the Corona California.

And they'll teach you everything you need to know to get started in the industry, motor work or suspension work. And of course, their gold valves, I got authorized service centers all across America are guy checkers at race tech doing the God's work for those guys. And they're really, really good man. They can help your bike work better at least for Jesus sake get your suspension oil changed and bushings and seals and all that like even if you don't get a brief valve. If you've been riding the same shit get race tech to do it. It'll help your bike a lot help you enjoy riding your motorcycle better. So please do that. Zool's seat concepts firepower maxis ASV inventions, Namiro, stomp grip all on board of this as well. And as I mentioned, no fraud today and I'm Steve Madness, but that's a renaissance champion down your player. What's up, DB? Just stay in locked in man. How many shows have I missed this year? Dude, I don't think you've missed any. Have you? Yeah, zero. Well, I don't miss dude. I don't miss. I'm glad you're okay. Let me ask you this though. Like when you're living life normal, you feel normal, right? And then you get sick and it's terrible. When you get back to normal, how good do you feel like you feel like you've been juiced up?

That's just regular life, but you don't appreciate it until you're sick. So I have to imagine like you're feeling pretty good right about now. This is this is all karma because the fraud was supposed to come up from the pop show with Lewis a couple weeks ago. He said he was sick. I made fun of him. I said I never get sick and low and behold, head cold, head cold hit me. No energy, you know, stuffed up all of that just zero, zero fun. But yeah, you're right. You do. Yeah, I've been bicycling. I went 30 miles today on a bicycle. So yeah, I feel great. How did the fraud do last week? Was he okay? He was awesome. The fans were appreciative of our banter. We did good. We took a couple shots at you a little bit here and there, but that was all for fun. We're glad you're back. I'm glad you're back. I mean, Kellan's gone now. But he was great. I'm obviously super fast paced talker. Like I that's I deliver fast. He kind of does too. So the one thing I did notice listening back just myself. I was like, dude, that's a fast paced ping pong match. It was what it was a little bit. I think we were firing on all cylinders. But now it's fun. Kellan's great. I think he does a great job. I've complimented him to his face. I'll do it again now. I think he does good play by play when he gets like work here and there. Like your race and others. So no, he was great. He can lead a show and host a show. And I'm a big fan of our guy, the fraud.

Well, listen, if you guys didn't take shots at me, I'd be very upset. So that goes with the territory. I mean, come on. All right, round three smx Ridgedale coming up. I want to talk about that in a second. A couple championships to be crowned all of that. But Dylan for and this, you know, he told me maybe a month ago, DB that he's coming back. He's going to ride another year for Ducati. He said he's never going to be a private here again. He will quit before then. But that everything look good. To go back to Troy Lee Ducati. And I fully expected that to be teamed with RJ Hampshire. And then I got away. Last week that he wanted a certain amount of money to go riding in 2027 or he was going to pull the pin. I still didn't take it seriously. Like I'm just like a typical negotiation. Yeah. tactics. However, he did. I needed to take it seriously because Dylan for and it's announced that he is done. Eli Tomax done this weekend as is Dylan for and this national champion supercross champion. A really nice guy. A very blunt and honest interview. And Daniel, I think an underrated rider when all is said and done.

Yeah, the last few years, maybe not as high lighty. But no, a really good long career here too. If you think about how long he actually put in 250, 450, moved around some programs went to Phoenix, went to do Coddy. So he's had some some challenges. I think this year was a challenge. I don't know what the real real reason is. Is it just pure money because these guys have a hard time sometimes seeing the afterlife. What is next when I'm done and sometimes they're just over it and put a hard stamp and a hard cut. What does he do next? I don't know because he's not really like a media type guy. So he's not going to move into a role like a brighten or someone like that. So I don't know what he does next. I'm curious if he stays here because I know early in his career, he wasn't super stoked about being here. He felt a little weird out of place. But then I think he adapted. So yeah cool dude. I always really like Dylan. And Radcareer, but next Steve what is next for Dylan? Well, I've asked him this on the show. He is staying in America. He said so he'll be staying here. You know, I get really like for example, Daniel, you didn't retire from racing. You quit. You quit.

I quit. Yeah, right. It was a hard quit. All right. Just private tears it announced their retiring from the sport. And I'm like, no, no, no, man, you got to get a job. You just quit, which is fine. No shame in that. You just quit. Yeah. However, Dylan is one of those ones that can retire. He made a lot of money. One championship. He raised MXGP for a long time. Right. So he made some serious money. He can really retire him and Natasha and their weirdo expensive cat they have. Really? We're big cats. Yeah, cat could kill you if you were sleeping. Yeah, but yeah, so I don't know what he's going to do. Yeah, but I appreciate him for that championship. The beating Eli Tomac outdoors and a 450. Yeah, man, the guy was good. And I do think you're right. Not very highlighting the last few years for Dylan. Like I can't remember him leading a moto for five minutes, you know, or 10 minutes or anything. It does seem like there was a free David Villaman Dylan Ferrandis and a post David Villaman Dylan Ferrandis. And he was working pretty hard with Lakobra. And I think he chose to not work as hard.

When DV left when they broke up and maybe it showed a little bit, but still a ton of top 10s the last few years, including like you mentioned on the friend on the Phoenix bike. So yeah, man, good career. Great career. Great career. Rad career good good guy again. He can retire. Eli though. Eli's just quit. Man, let's let's be honest. He's not retired. Right. Eli. He just quit like me. No, he's retiring. Man, he that dude has got so much money. But you know, listen, I, I'm careful about saying stuff about these guys because I never thought we'd see RV around just really never thought we'd see him. And he's everywhere. We can get rid of him. He's like the flag. So I want to say the same thing about Tomac, but I don't know you never know man. There's four kids. We've got three kids and fourth on a way. Like he's going to want to get out of here. Yeah, I mean, it's hard because he's also not a media darling. Like he I don't see him like getting a brand ambassador deal. Like he's made way more money than most of these guys. I mean, we're talking a lot of championships.

He's probably got more money than RC when RC quit. Well, probably because he went so much longer and he had so much great stuff late and he kept getting them big checks. And I mean, think about it. The amount of wins second all time. So I like if you do the math, he's stacked. So I don't see him like needing to stay in it. But what he'll probably do is go away and he'll come around for certain things because he's I think he's still going to be iconic and enough where people will convince him to go and show himself at places. But he ain't going to be like around and even like Dunge. Dunge came around a little bit, but then he even kind of like yes enough for me. So I could see Eli actually being more Dunge like than RV like even though I'm with you. I would have thought it would have gone the other way with RV and Dunge and you would have never seen Villapota again. Yeah, but he is he's around with one stuff. And I for sure I'll be hanging with him soon actually. Oh, you got an ares coming up. I don't know. So you got an ares coming up. That's cool. Good to see you. Maybe. Maybe.

Daniel Blair here, Troy Lee designs race tech Blair Mathis show Numera. Thank you to Numera for over 25 years. They've been providing quality engine components for power sports applications, including OEM spec replacement cylinders, pistons, rings and gaskets. The Numera line has recently expanded with valves and valve kits and engine oil seals visit Numera.com for your machine. Thank you to Maxis. I got the hat on our guy Chris at Maxis tires. There's a test speaking of Chris. There's a Chris Kiefer tested Maxis SI test on Paul Max calm. You can read about what he thinks of them Mitchell Harrison, of course in the SMX races with the Maxis tires and the corn dog as well. Maxis hooked up so well. It shot him off the track into a tough block. Maxis.com for more information. Great mountain bike tires as well. Thank you to firepower firepower parts. The club of Max guys are used firepower lithium batteries there. Devon Simon's and used it to not make either main event. I can't believe it. Our guy Devon goes for a ride while in the lead in L.A. He doesn't have the pulp sticker on it. I can't help but wonder if that's not a coincidence that these two races. So any who.

Yeah. I text him. I told him he needed to go to Compton and just put his red gear on and hope for the best. That's what I recommended. Absolutely. He didn't go into that and he made it back here safely. But that's how I felt after that L.A. Just just let fate take care of it. Firepower parts.com. Okay, Daniel. I just saw on social. That's it. These the Ridgedale round and obviously saw the track map and everything and look the two shills the Jason's. They've been going on about this place for a while and I just just glaze over at those two guys. But man, Taiwan. It does look pretty cool. The track looks good. This is a true hybrid track. Got some sand in it. Little tiny elevation. It looks like also so as much as I've been hard on Columbus and L.A. and the ridiculous ridiculousness of this. I'm optimistic. Daniel that Ridgedale is going to provide some good racing and a cool spectacle. Yeah, me too. I'm hard on it too. But only because I.

For the reasons that you talked to I think we're pretty similar in this a little bit of an under deliver on some promises of what this was supposed to be. These hybrid tracks have not worked. They did not work the riders. When the riders, the fan with everybody hates them, then you know you goofed on the track. This one though does look like a possibility to redeem because honestly it does look rad like the place we knew the place was going to be a cool place. But what would the track look like and honestly like DC I think put up a video then race right today where you can like scroll across. I was like, dang dude, actually that's pretty rad. Now we'll see how it races racing matters too. So if it doesn't race well, that might be a bummer. But to me, my initial impression is great chance for redemption because it looks like a cool place. Rad track more online what they were talking about hybrid wise. Now those things still don't work perfectly. But this will be a better shot at it because I have more room. So I'm going in fired up to I said this on so many different places. I like the point system and how it works because it creates this weirdness at the last round where it's still up for grabs and certain guys have to do certain things and they can't just walk off with it super easy.

So both titles look rad to me man like dude, rider to versus leave. I would juju kind of hanging in there and then Horace got this great opportunity. He's kind of little banged up from the last round. So who knows how I mean dude, it sets up for a really cool finale and I'm optimistic. Yeah, I don't see with the way Horace riding right now, he's got to get further better to win this thing. I really like his odds man. He's a great starter as we know and he's riding well. I don't know man. It's going to take a bit of an upset I think for him to lose like he if you're betting on this thing, which I think you can now I'm betting heavy on Jorge Prado do know. Well, it comes down to four riders. Web's been like kind of just the fifth guy sitting in there. So who knows, but you got Kenny, you got Hunter, you got Hayden. So could he get forth? Absolutely, it could happen, but he has been nailing his starts. He's been way more aggressive. You could tell he's like kind of like settling in now and he's caught something. So I'm with you. I'm just wondering if he's really that banged up because on the broadcast last week after dude, he was like ice pack sitting couldn't sit right. His wrist was all like what is all that like is that just like something that 24 hours or he was my propons or was that something more.

So if he's 100% he is definitely my pick to get it done. I just don't know if he's 100% it looked he looked in bad shape after the race. So if he's at 85% yeah, bro, he's at 85% does that mean he can guarantee beat Kenny beat Hayden beat Hunter on one of these things, which he's never done. He didn't do these last year. So he's never done this before. This is brand new for him. It's not a guarantee and that's why I like it. I'm excited because I don't think it's a guarantee. Dude, I think he's fine. You said he's never done these before, but he's he won a national and he got on a podium and supercrossed. He's fine. He didn't I know he didn't do the Vegas drag strip. He didn't do Charlotte. I don't know. I'm just saying he didn't he didn't do any. This is brand new. He's got to do something brand new, which he's been proven to be pretty good at new things. So it's not like it's going to be a dramatic problem. You throw that variable with maybe a little bit banged up mixed with three other really good dudes and it ain't a guarantee. And if he don't get it though. If he don't get it, I think Hunter gets it. Hunter proved that second mode of Carson like that's that's a complete product right there. Man, he was really good.

What did you make of the digs? Coop thing. I think listen, coop on the podium. I'm going to make damn sure he doesn't win it. I don't believe that's going to carry over. We all saw the incident. It wasn't Daniel's done that in arena across 8,000 times. Probably worse. So like, yeah, I just does heat of the moment thing. I think Web's going to play it safe. I really do. They're they're now they're doing videos holding hands and getting ice cream. It's okay. Let me walk you through something because I took the bait all the way and I was like dang coop like all right. Little over the top mad and then you see the video them going in the truck and you start hearing I'm getting text messages from people that know saying shots were fired. I heard aid and punch first that I heard cout punch first. I heard all this stuff. My wife immediately said it's all fake. And now I've got people telling me that this. I don't know if it was. But I've got people telling me that they think that this thing was over the top turned up a little bit for YouTube for whatever. I don't believe that. But if it comes out later that this was all staged and fake. My wife knew because she's the first one that said this is all fake. That's just for YouTube.

And I don't know how to stand on this but they're literally hanging out now doing videos laughing. They're all buddy buddy. And it's like if they fist fought and really contact was made to face. There's no way in 48 hours all of a sudden your best friends again. I'm sorry. It's just there's no possible way. So yeah, I don't know what happened. I don't know what happened. I have no idea. But I've certainly seen riders get into shoving matches in the truck in the lounge. And then the next day everyone cools off and they're fine. The pass itself we can all agree on the pass itself was nothing. But look, you don't fake that kind of emotion that coup had on the podium. I mean he screwed up his words. He was so angry. You know what I mean? There was nothing pre planned about this. Everyone on the conspiracy theory needs to calm down. There absolutely was anger there. But yes, having them seeing them getting together again is nothing that I'm surprised about cooler heads with the hell and out of character though for web to take it that far and say I won't let him. Coop's pretty smart and crafty. So I'm with you emotionally. He let it slip and got a little carried away because I even was like bro you never tell what you're going to do like ever.

That's a really awesome one. Dude, a Tyler Bowers man. He threatened Nathan Skags back in the day. The AMA heard him say it. And then he went out and did it the next moto and they took 25 points away from his championship. Looked it up. That happened. So you do not say what you're going to do. You say the opposite. So I was like blown away that web said that and then the scuffle and all these texts I'm getting from people that are in the lounge saying this and that happened and then yeah and now a sudden they're like posting. They're like all buddies and stuff and like working out together and I'm like. Yeah, we got we got people saying on social media that he coup was fired. It's just ridiculous. Yeah, I don't know. I know though as a fans love it. I mean, they've been juiced up all the last few days over it. But to me, to me, it's just it's weird now and yeah, Hayden just posted a pretty funny video of two guys fighting the backyard with their faces on it and it's pretty dang funny. So now now all of a sudden it's a playful joke, which makes me think there's no possible way to actually fist hit face that had to have been a shove not a punch because if someone punched me in the face.

There's no shot. We're getting along for a while and I am taking them out the next week without question. Yeah, no, exactly, exactly. We'll learn more about it. I'm sure down the road a little bit, but honestly, Prado after falling in the sand road tremendous coupe. I thought I fully expect a coupe to lose the trail a little bit and next thing you know he's right in this thing. Obviously, Hunter took off with the six second lead and won it like everybody had moments dude with three minutes to go. Kenny was the smx points leader and second overall at or maybe it was the overall winner of LA and the smx points leader with three minutes to go. And now he's way back and he didn't even get on the box. So like crazy man. That lasts a little bit. I got to say like I really hate on the broadcast when it's like these are the points as they run right because it's like it's more racing coming like it's so it's too early to start playing with that. But in this format, it actually was fun to watch the points changing so much because every pass was changing the overall and the championship.

It was the first time ever where I was like literally watching the points as they run and like trying to figure out math and then a guy would pass it would flip. It was actually really cool. That's why again, I said the point thing on this is the best thing they did in this is just the escalating points. It's my favorite for those that don't like it. I get it, but I love that hard. I'm fine with points as they run after half of the race is over great, but in we saw it second lap in sometimes the second lap in of a 20 minute moto. I know, hey man calm down. We see it second lap in on a 30 minute outdoor moto moto one and I'm like yes, it's yes. It's a lot. But this format allowed for it to kind of work because there was changes. I remember at one point they were all tied with five like it was neat. I that's the one part of this. I've really enjoyed is the math part of it. It's been a lot of. Yeah, absolutely for sure. Troy Lee designs race tech. Bar math is project and email us using the contact form on pulp. Give you a code to save a Troy Lee designs great stuff over the years. Of course, shout out Ernie.

The first Troy Lee designs gear guy and and yet race tech as well race tech calm please get your suspension oil change down. You was laughing when I was saying that because he knows that a lot of you bastards out there listening have never changed your suspension oil. Like just never it's just like garbage in there right now full of aluminum shims. So. And then you come home and I'm right very good today. It's like yeah, like he's good. You gave yourself no shot. No man and thank you to stomp grip as well. Pop up next 26 saves you at stomp grip calm. Did you try some of this over there? I know stomp grip sent you some down. You'll have you had a chance to try this with the boys. That's in that's in process right now. All right. Whether you're racing supercars hammering mode. Those are ripping laps. Stomp grips 3D grip tape and frame grips give you the control you need to stay locked in. Engineered for the high friction zones. They've got it by your bike specific model. You make model in year and you can bolt it or put it on and it sticks really well or you can cut your own. They give you a universal stuff and you can cut your own to make it fit wherever you want. Really good stuff. I've got it on my bike protecting my side side panel graphics.

So thanks to stomp grip for coming on board. Pop up next 26 code to save with them in my racer X column. Daniel. This is a little bit of a side swipe at rider D, but I don't mean it like this. But I told the story of the tortoise and the hair because the hair you leave I kitchen absolutely ability to go one one and rip off moto wins as we've seen. But also sometimes get tripped up in his own world and go seventh rider D very consistent. I mean the late race push in mode in main two was impressive and he just is on the box seemingly every single time. So it's a little tortoise and hairy because I think flat out speed Levi's got it. But man, if it don't go right for Levi off the start then rider D can take this thing home with a three four or a three two or whatever. Yeah, it's interesting from a couple angles. Number one, I think I have for sure. I know you have just being in being honest. We've been hard on Levi this year because it's just been like so weird.

I think back to supercrossing was falling in the first turn like every week and it was like what are you doing? Fought through, still got second points. Good job. And then the outdoors I felt like there was a couple gifts given to get him back in this thing. And he just never took it and he kind of like he really didn't pull it off there. Then obviously the last two rounds were terrible. This is his next chance to really get this thing done and he's going up against a guy who's never won yet. And so I feel like there's a lot of pressure on Levi to get it done because in a one on one, I would take Levi over rider D almost every time if they actually went one on one. The problem for Levi is is he has problems all the time and he could screw up in the first moto in the third corner and you're like, dude, what the heck? And then rider D could just go in like when this thing very easily. So that's the dynamic for Levi. I'm not concerned with him in a one on one battle, maybe losing this race. I'm concerned with him doing something that puts him out of it for some weird reason that's just like bro, what are you doing? So that to me, that's the bigger issue.

But again, the map is weird on this one because rider D is not the only person that can win this. Juju can too. If juju wins the race and Levi wants to get fourth or worse, rider D2. Juju could win this championship and who's to say Davies isn't great again. Who's to say Joe Shimoda who woke up also isn't great. Like that class is so wild and the lower the place that you can't put juju out of this thing either. He could very easily win this race this weekend and have a little bit of help between those guys. It's not a guarantee. So I actually am really excited for that class. Just to see if rider D can step up and take it to leave. I can actually close it. And then if juju can find a little help in between because it sets up pretty cool. Hey, speaking of that off on a side topic, the KTM 250 team Sasha Kuhnen rider D Julian Bomer. And and and Jackson Bennett to an extent, but those three that I just mentioned off the first three. They are going to have some battles. Man, it is going to be great underneath that truck. They went from a really small team to a full loaded team in one shot, man. It's actually a nicely little consolidation over there from the Husky guys moving over and.

So who gets it done, DB? I like kitchen. I think Levi rises to the occasion. I at least I hope so. I feel that instinctually. I feel like he's going to get it done. I think I think he'll be good. But you got to remember last year, rider D was good and Vegas too. He had that big crash with Hayden. We're Hayden kind of clipped his head. It was dramatic. But right now it was kind of breaking out at that time too. And if you're a rider right now, you have nothing to lose. It's not like you have anything to protect. Like just go and swing as hard as you can at this thing. And he might because he is getting closer. He's got three podiums in a row now for the first time in his career. Ironman Columbus Carson. He's never done that before. So he's built some momentum and always got to do is go and swing at it. And if you don't work out, whatever dude, you're still early this thing a little bit. Levi's the one with the pressure. So I just want to see a good race. But my instincts also say that Levi is. I'd like to see from rider D whether it's super cross motor cross or this SMX thing. I just he's an awesome dude. And as you mentioned, he's really emerging. I just like to see some speed though, like fast qualifiers and lead half a race.

And he doesn't have that. He doesn't have, you know, David's has it. Levi has it. Joe has it. You know, I just he's like a honestly, he's a little bit like Tim Ferry, my old guy. Like Tim, he could lay down some heaters every now and then he qualified quickest in two of these supercross a few times. Now 450 supercross. But generally speaking, red dog was just hard. He doesn't beat himself. And he was solid. And that's kind of what rider D reminds me of a little bit. I just want to see a little more sprint speed and flash from rider D. Now having said that, he's doing fantastic. So that I'm not criticizing him. But if I were to start like thing and rider D, like I just need a little more flash. It's it's his next step is you're asking for the next step, which is dude start start sending it a little bit because he is protective a little bit. I think he rides right and he's had some injuries over the last few years. So maybe he's in this place where I'm just going to build properly and not rush this thing. But he's on the doorstep now of being one of the elites and 250. He's going to have to go and do it. But I thought moto 2 when he was forced to do it.

He was awesome. And he was kind of mean. He was stuffing people to hit Adams. Like I feel like it woke up something in him where he wasn't so protective. And he kind of went for it. And maybe that shows him like, dude, I can do this because you're right. The next step is to become elite. And in order to be elite in the 250 class, you've got to have that flash. You got it at times. Unless again, VL don't count on that formula and supercross to work every time. Riders kind of looking like a little bit where he's pretty smart. He just takes care of business. But you're going to have to be a little bit faster when you're racing juju and Cole and Joe and Levi. I like you're right. He needs to. It's a little bit, man. Yeah. Um, totally designs race tech. Bare math is project. I said this on the review show a little bit. I don't mean this as a negative DB. I'm in a way. I'm happy that cold. Evies isn't going to get this SMX title. And just. And nothing against him or anybody like he's the future he's amazing. But just a little, a little check of like this is tougher than it's been going for you kid who's literally been blessed, you know, with wins and speed and all of that.

Um, it's almost entire career here in America. Shit. I mean, last year, you know, he won a moto. Yeah, he got help with the qualifiers, but it's just it's gone a little easier for cold. Evies and I just maybe this a humble a little bit that it ain't. It's not all just gravy kid. You know, I don't know. I know you're saying. And uh, I mean, in reality, it's not like it was bad luck. He made mistakes in both races, he's filling the sand and then he had the big crash. So those were on him. Uh, like a heat check a little bit, right? Like a guy in the NBA who's hit like seven threes in a row. Like you just the guy he's a clank one. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, I guess what you're talking about here, but uh, here's some history for you, which is interesting. He was in line to be the first guy to ever win all three of these things in the same season. No one's ever done it. And now he won't. So, uh, that's still available for the future, even though I don't know the future of SMX and what it looks like down the line forever. I'm assuming they're going to keep this thing going. But no one's done it, Steve. No one is one. All of it. And uh, Cole had the best shot at it. And uh, yeah, that ain't going to happen.

Yeah, yeah, exactly right. Um, that's all. I mean, now having said that, he'll probably come back next year and just crush everybody all three series and and all of that. He certainly looks like the future. But I don't know. I just felt the little chip there. At the, on the shoulder and can't blame him. Young kid making millions of dollars. Just, you know, that's all. It's all. Uh, saw the front angle of that crash in the second main. And that was a good one, man. That bike tagged him. Like he got bad. Uh, yeah, he got lucky there for sure. So he kind of got lucky with where his body landed first, but then that bike came in just just enough. He got up slow. Um, but uh, yeah, it's wild too because he's been so automatic in stadiums. Um, but those were two outdoor sections on the track. They were high speed. It wasn't like he, he missed navigated supercross. He kind of missed navigated the outdoor portion of the supercross. And, um, I don't think he's all the way polished on motorcross just yet. There's more to learn there and more to grow even though he won this year. Supercross. So he's a straight up phenom. He really is.

Right. Um, okay. A couple of things here before we get going on the trolley designs race tech. We had Ian Harrison on the show Monday night. Daniel Red Bull KTM manager of course. And I've had a good relationship with Ian for a long time. I mean, I was a mechanic when he was a mechanic. So we, we know a whole lot each other. But we talked back then and obviously, you know, I'm not going to be a mechanic. Obviously, you know, he teamed up with Roger and he went to Suzuki and KTM and all of that. Um, but it just struck me doing the interview. Daniel and the reason I bring this in because you had to deal with him when you were orange brigade. Um, nice guy, man. Really nice guy calls it like it is in post race interviews. He tells you he's surprised. He tells you what he thinks he tells you that's not a good one. There was some sexton stuff last year that he was pretty honest about. Uh, I just, this is just a trolley designs race tech Blair math is show shout out for Ian Harrison that you, you know, that you worked with. Yeah. Well, I'll give you a some insight on that. Yeah. When I was at Orange Brigade, um, Nate Ramsey was my boss. He oversaw the program. So a lot of the decisions would go through him.

But Ian was actually in charge of my budget. He oversaw the actual financial side of the program. And honestly, he was so awesome to work with like I. It was cool how it worked out. I mean, obviously in the end, it didn't because KTM had their financial issues and everything kind of fell apart. Uh, but while the program was rising, you know, they gave me a semi truck and then I ended up getting a crew chief and like the program was building. And Ian was responsible for a lot of those decisions as far as what I was allowed to do and spend. And he grew my, my budget while I was there from year one to year two. A lot of it had to do with juju. And that's, it's a really cool story because juju was signed after anaheim. You know, went one, two futures races. They liked him a lot. Carlos Rivera had a relationship with Davey Mills app. So it was like this cool little in house triangle of communication. They liked him enough to sign him to his pro deal. And so Ian and I have always had this really cool relationship around juju because it's just worked out man. He's really worked out for them. Um, I even saw Ian this year. I went up to Philly and hosted an AP night. It was just a fun blessing or night.

And Ian was there and we were just reminiscing on juju and how cool that story was. But because that all worked out, Ian and I had a really good relationship while I was there. And he would allow me to do certain things and grow my budget and areas that I needed it, which was allowing me to grow the semi truck program. Obviously allowed me to sign cold Davies allowed me to sign Kade Manier. So a lot of things that were all going well. Work partly because of what he was allowing me to do. And I worked with him like flawlessly through it all. He was always very supportive. He allowed me to take some of my amateur kids out to the KTM track when they probably weren't ready yet. And he let me do it. He trusted me. So I have nothing but positive things to say about Ian. And he was very impactful in the successful run we had until of course they had their bigger problems that trickled down all the way down to me and then eventually collapsed kind of the program we were running. But he and was a plus all the way through professional, but also, um, inspiring to work with. I really, really liked him every minute of it. Yeah, look, he's a very important people in a person in industry. A lot of power and all of that. There's zero ego there. He takes the time to talk to you. He explains things to you.

Um, yeah, I've always had a good relationship with him. And we just had him on Monday night. And he was a great interview. And I thought I would bring that up because of your. I knew you had dealings with himself. Um, it was cool to see. He's great. Uh, great. Papa, Max 26 code to save it. Seat concepts factory beta, Phoenix racing and pro Yamaha seat concepts ride the world with them. Uh, from race 2 point order, the comfort series. They really made their name and adventure touring years ago, but now they branch into moto and they make great stuff. Phones, covers, complete seats. Max 26 all cap saves you at seat concepts and Zool's bag code 30% off with pop up, pop 26 code, pop 26 code, ZULZ bag code. Com, uh, Traykin, our Zach Osborne, Pistron are using Zool's bags. And of course, they got you call cover of backpacks roller, travel bags, gear bags and more high quality and real world use functionality. The couple reasons why Zool's official luggage sponsor of this show, ZULZ bag code.com pop 26 get you 30% off. Maxis firepower, uh, Numera, ASV invention, stump grip, all on board with this as well.

All right, Daniel, it's time for my race tech rant a little bit. Um, it has to do with your team. If you, if you don't mind, I didn't understand that Max and Steve wouldn't care at all about SMX. I, I know he didn't make it in round one muddy race and didn't get a start in whatever, but, uh, I picked him up, and Paul, Max fantasy for round two. And I don't know man, he just kind of wrote around a little bit. And then I heard that he really doesn't care all that much and like Simon's in crashed out. Thomas and probably does care. So can Max just give Simon's in a spot. I don't know, but Max is so much better than the way he wrote at LA like I wish I had a known that he is just getting ready for the WSEX, which we will touch on in a second. Yeah. Um, so it's not fair to say he doesn't care. Let me explain it to you. Um, very transparently. I have no problem doing that. Max won't care that I do this either because it's the truth. Um, he signed with us and his priority is the American Supercross series next year. World is part of this too because it's the lead in he's the defending champ. So his program was built around that SMX is something that is being added to his schedule early on because we wanted to like get to know him how he works the races.

He wants to know how our guys work with the races, but all of the month of August before he was on the 27 developing and getting things ready for world Supercross and next year and then jump back on the 26. It's not a dramatic difference. But I'm just telling you where his mindset was. And back on and he's not going out there from the LCQ's and 18th gate pick to try to send it on in there on these races and try to like pull something pull a rabbit out of a hat. He's there for a lot of other reasons too. It's a bigger picture with him and he's not stoked about how it's gone. He's actually like a little cut off guard like dang like they're they're all going faster than I thought. But he's not going to risk himself and do anything like that could jeopardize the things that are coming in the schedule that do mean more to him and us. So it's it's not all the way acceptable. He would admit that neither as we would we as would we, but at the same time we're not freaking out because this wasn't really the priority. It's way down the priority list for what we're building with him for the future. So he's a veteran. There's a veteran guy and there's serious money at stake. I just thought with the money. He would try a little bit more.

But he's not there's not that much money in the two vities. By the way, go look it up. It's not smoking mirrors in that class. Go look it up. Now he he. Yeah, but this is the prior this for him. This is something that is doing for bigger reasons. So maybe he or you or someone could have let me know that before picking them in pulp of the next fantasy. Yeah, my name could have called me anytime. Um, you orders out this weekend, but he's okay. Yeah, we're not sure exactly. We know he's out this weekend. He heard is he said a hurt knee all year. Since Anaheim won. He actually got hurt the week before and I'm. He's been dealing with it. Talked about it. Yeah, for how many months. He heard it and we're we're nervous because he said this one hurt a little bit more than the last time. Um, so yeah, no this weekend, but as far as after that, we're not sure yet until we have a plan. And once we do, I'll let you know. And what's going on with Simon? I know. What are we doing? He's trying to hard man. He's just okay. I don't know, man. He again, he he's ripping. He's trying really hard. He's just I don't know.

Okay. Um, hey, uh, I don't know. I don't know. Man, that that's the biggest. I don't know. And and he would say this. So World Supercross, uh, looking for a buyer. They've come out. They put out a statement. Obviously Daniel. This affects you. We talk about World Supercross quite a bit in here with your role in that series. The UK round is canceled. And we'll see from there. DB, but it's not not good news at the World Supercross guys. Yeah. Uh, we'll see from there is probably the most accurate. I don't know what the future holds. Um, I know this is going to sound a little crazy, but I don't ask. I'm not worried about like if everything works out, sick, if it doesn't, whatever. I don't trip. That's kind of like how I live my life. So I'm not worried about it. But obviously bombed. I would have loved to have gone. But at the same time, it is what it is. And, uh, I don't know the percent pi of what works out or doesn't work out here. But from what I understand, everything's still on for the last three Argentina, I believe, is going to be moved. Um, the plan is is to pull this off and make this happen. And I hope they do. But I will say fairly and transparently that it's not a great look for a series that had momentum to lose around like this and lose that momentum. They'd have to start over a little bit. So, um, I'm thinking things are going to work out from things that I've heard is going to be okay.

If they don't again, that would be a massive bummer more for the sport than me personally, because I think this is really, really good for so many people. But, um, as you said, we'll see from here. I don't know. I don't know. Listen, I wanted to survive. I hope it survives. It's cool to see teams and riders making money. Supercross can go international. It should go international. People care about it. I've been all over the world covering super crosses. So I've seen firsthand the fence, uh, desire to see these riders. But as I've said from day one, this math doesn't math with these guys. I don't know how anybody would want to purchase this series based on the ROI and what they pay and all of that. So let's let's hope for the best for sure on that. Yep. Um, while we go ASV inventions also our guys back with us. Bob is just a class accident. I know PR is all the time Daniel. Bob's man and he's on his way to club. Actually, you get to see him today as far as this show comes out. I believe on Thursday. So I'll see Bob today. But, uh, he says congrats to KTM's Julian Bomer and Jorge Prado on their first smx playoff wins last Saturday and L.A. Also congrats to ASV supercross champ Ken Roxon with a win in modal one, which by the way, Steve,

did modal one Kenny was. Yeah, that's what made his second modal all the weird like I get it. He's tired. He caught up to it. But he ran. Hey, Prado didn't let up modal one and Kenny didn't get to cruise it in. He had to push to the checkered. And I just don't think he recovered quick enough to get it all back. And then I think five minutes into modal to do what he was like, I'm gasped. But anyway, he still was awesome. But for 2027 ASV's racer support program will be the only place to get new unreleased product from ASV before they are available to the public. Steve, you got to be a sponsored writer to get the new stuff. And you can sign up at all the sponsor place to hook it. Yeah, I'm a sponsor. And of course, ASV does their own sponsorship to their own website ASV inventions dot com. And for those that want to buy direct, you can go to the website and use a code, pull the mix and all caps. 20% off at ASV inventions dot com. A couple of things before we wrap up here, Troy, the designs race tech Daniel, you've got the background in the TV business two hour pre show before L.A.

I loved it. Like did I watch all of it? No, I wasn't glued to the screen, but good to see them doing that. They should do that more at least make an hour every single show post pre and post. I don't know why they don't. And then we had JB and AC riding a little bit, which I thought was really interesting and cool. I think whether you're a fan or even like a new fan, like a buddy of a buddy or your wife, a girlfriend, whatever. Just to have that view and show those guys and all of that. I enjoyed the production value of that stuff. Yeah, extra credit on the production and throwing so much at it. And obviously that's what they're trying to do with these things. I will say I was a little confused because I thought the race was on it like seven Eastern. And then I'm scrolling through my wife's like, hey, it's on and I'm like, whoa, and now I'm freaking out thinking that I messed up. So I turn it on and then I'm like, what is this? Like I didn't know. And so I would think that maybe in the future, maybe more communication on what they're doing because I think a lot of people were confused over when it started. So people don't want to watch that stuff. They just want to watch the racing. Some people love the entire experience. But I had no idea. And I feel like I'm pretty connected. So maybe a better communication on what they're doing.

So people have a better idea. That's all. I think it's awesome that we got JB and AC doing that. And then they're out there spinning laps, you know, following each other around on the track. It's just like, you know, you don't have like Terry Bradshaw and Groanck, you know, out there on the field with cameras on throwing balls to each other. And, you know, and talking about routes and everything like, I mean, obviously they could, but they don't. It's just neat to have these are the two hosts. And here they are on the track jumping every most everything. I would love to know what their times would be if they actually threw down to because I bet you if they really tried it'd be pretty good. Because like JB was here this week at a club ride and some moto just he comes out and ride sometimes he just JB. And he was ripping it was outdoor, but he was still ripping on a stock 450. And we were all kind of laughing about it because we're like, dude, he's like hanging out with the kids, like battling with all these kids out there. And he still goes fast, but I know he's not pushing his exact harness. But I would love to see what he actually does time wise AC to if they're like, all right, pull the clock out.

Like let's actually go for it and see where we sit in the 450 class. And I do not bet it would be pretty good. I think Adam wouldn't want any part of that because he is his sendiness might end up in the hospital with Adam, but, but maybe. Like if you just, you know, he doesn't he's not sharp, right, but he could still probably really lay it down because he's has these serials. Dude, yeah, I wouldn't be shocked if they were better than even they think. Hey, what'd you make a sexton doing the first half of the interview with his shirt undone his team shirt and then they cut back and it's and it's buttoned up. Like new level of D gap everyone jokes about the hat on backwards right. Like a sign that he's mad or whatever. I saw that to and I was like, dude, this guy really just does not care. I mean, yeah, I don't know man. I don't know what's going on with him was with the plan is with him, but that was an interesting look from someone who looked like he was just lounging and not caring from a team at a program that's pretty rich, rich is a fair word. I mean, they're pretty tight with the way they go about things and he's just like.

I'm here, so I don't know man. Yeah, hey, I think BAM is sign that heps that heps is a key deal. We'll go we got a whole off season to talk about crap like this, but initial thoughts of BAM doing that. I mean, we knew when we were eating those cheesy toastie breads, we, we do this was going to happen. It just hadn't happened yet, but I like it for him. These guys are obviously extending their careers trying to make that money keep things going. I'm assuming he's probably getting a deal that's more on the exit ramp than what he's used to getting, but he still wants to race and he's never come across to me like a guy. I mean, we're phrase he comes across like a guy who still loves to grind and race and train and loves the life. So to me, I think I'll get the best version of him what that is Steve. I don't know. But you know what I mean, does any come across as somebody who's like he's still in it like he wants to do it, even if it's not maybe as much as he was making it's probably good enough to still like I like what I do.

The only part that like I think would bum me out a little bit and maybe not BAM because he's a veteran, but like we saw we saw glimpses this year. He's good outdoors, man. He likes outdoors. That team doesn't do the whole outdoor series. You know, I don't know what they're going to do again, but BAM and the outdoor seem to go together, but maybe at this point, he's happy not to be doing it. But yeah, maybe I when well, I can go back to some negotiations that we had with him at club. He wanted to do outdoor like we presented him with the first offer, which was World Supercross and American Supercross no outdoor and he was like I kind of want to do all of it. And we're like we were surprised by that. We thought maybe he would want to kind of go the web route start, you know, off ramping this career. Yeah, and he was like, no, I love outdoor. So I am surprised to see him take this deal. Let me ask you this because you're you're closer to this stuff. What is Ducati going to do now if Dylan's out and BAM's out the free agent market is a little weird right now like I know some people on the internet are like, oh, chase sex and it's like, no, guys stop it.

What do they do? They have. They got RJ. They got RJ. Yeah. That's what to me. That's a nice spot for Colt Nichols. Low salary. Hey, we're going to use you to test a little bit. He's written, you know, a beta and a Suzuki and Kaui and Yamaha. You know, he's written a bunch of bikes. Yeah, just he's a nice guy works well with teams, all of that. I could see it's a nice spot for Colt Nichols. A slide into what do you think of that? Well, and you're assuming because of BAM Colts out. Yeah, Colts out of there. Yeah. That's the math. All right. That makes sense to me. It also a Shane Mac or a signing would have made sense. He obviously we know what he did. But you're right. Somebody like that that's still is good to work with that has history and success that could help them develop because I don't think that things done developing. No, but it's just a weird dynamic because it was first like BAM and Dylan and then now they're both out of there. Okay, so if you am I missing anybody other than Nichols, like is there something else that comes to mind for you outside of Nichols? Can you place somebody there? I really can't, but maybe I'm missing an obvious.

I don't think so. I don't know. No, I mean, that's to me, it would be a shame. It would be a call. It would be one of those guys. A Benny, but Benny's long-term. Yeah, no, everybody signed right? Yeah, no, it makes sense. Colt would be the easiest one and he's still out there in California, I believe. You know, I almost wonder like Oldenburg is going to do the Phoenix thing. Yeah. I don't know if olden while outdoors aren't good for Mitch, but. Like, which Phoenix let him out of his deal if the card is like, hey, we got a spot for Mitch Oldenburg. But then I think you got to be better outdoors to get that spot. Probably. And I actually think Oldenburg will be pretty good back on his 50. He was always good to 50 guys. So I actually see him as being like probably pretty solid for them. Yeah, yeah, I really can't see outside anybody outside of Nichols. I really can't unless they bring over a euro that we're not thinking of your PN rider. You know, I can't think of anybody to help my head, but maybe there's a Frenchman out there that can ride some soupy and indecent. So, yeah. Hey, are we are we doing a show next week? Motorcross the nation's week? Sure we can.

Okay, just making sure because if we weren't, then we probably need to touch on it now. No, let's do next week because Keller also will be great on that. I sure he would want to jump in. So. Got it. Just making sure. Okay, I think Prado and Kitch get it done. You. You. Championships. Kitchen, yeah. Prado. I just don't know enough about his wrist and his back. Dude, if it was serious, he would have went to the God. We would have heard by now. I have a feeling Hunter is going to win it. Just that's my thing. I think Hunter's going to win it. And then he's going to do an interview with Lewis and bash it. I like what he said last week. I thought it was great. Dude, I did too. Yeah. And you know what? He wouldn't have said that if he didn't know that upstairs had his back. That's another thing a lot of people I can't believe he would say that and say, no, you would say that comfortably if you. Oh, yeah. You weren't the only one of the truck that felt that way. When you know that upstairs and then upper management has your back in these feelings, you say that.

And then I was caught a cut off guard. But then I quickly was like, you know what? From what I have heard, it's he's not alone in that feeling. Yeah. But it was it was very, very blunt. And politically correct though. He didn't he wasn't like being a journalist. I know he was just only Hunter can say that. But in a kind of a nice way because he's Hunter Lawrence. He really speaks well. He spoke on behalf. I think of a lot of the writers there too that have been dissatisfied. Things that I've just heard that it's they've not been stoked at the end of the year to be this tired and then have to go to those like that. Yeah. So yeah, I'm speaking as mine, but he did it with support. So listen, this third round may may save the guys from an ultimate torching from all the writers will see. But it has not been what they said. It would be it has not been what anybody wants to do. And even money show goes to show you even money doesn't you know isn't the end on be all for these guys. So Troy Lee designs race tech, Zool seat concepts firepower, Maxis ASV inventions, Namiara,

Stomp grip all on board with us. And thanks man. Appreciate it. Went really smooth without Kevin for sure. Definitely. Yeah. Well, let's see what the fans say. Did you read the comments last week? No, I have a rule about YouTube comments. So don't do it. They they jumped on. Well, you know what's America? It's free speech. I could say whatever they want. Absolutely. But don't read them. They're they're feisty. I know deep in my heart. They're all there for me. I know that. Don't worry. Absolutely. Okay. Thanks. Okay. Thanks, DB. Appreciate it. Thank you everybody for watching and listening. Troy the designs race tech Blair math is shows. See you next week.
