You can eat well, exercise, get enough sleep, take supplements and still wonder, is any of this actually working? That's what I like about the true-age test from True Dynastic. It uses epigenetics, tiny chemical tags on your DNA, to estimate how your body is actually aging. You'll see your biological age, how quickly you're aging, and even how different systems like your heart, brain, and liver might be aging. And the methods behind true-age have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and develop researchers at Harvard, Yale, and Duke. It's also easy. You do a simple fingerprint at home, send it back in the prepaid kit, and get your personalized report online in about three to four weeks, along with recommendations around things like nutrition, exercise, sleep, and lifestyle. So if you're serious about longevity, or even just curious whether your body's aging faster or slower than your actual age, this is one of the easiest ways to find out. Right now, go to TrueDiagnostic.com and use code Y-Files for 20% off your entire order. That's TrueDiagnostic.com, code Y-Files for 20% off.
April 1912. The Titanic hits an iceberg in six. 1,500 people die in the most famous shipwreck in history. Everyone knows the story. But under oath, the lookout said he didn't see an iceberg. A crewman's war, he saw another ship right where they hit, and then the ship left. Over time, more details didn't add up. Documents, witness statements, even photographs give clues that something very different happened that night. Today, the wreck is 2.5 miles down. Photos of the bow show two letters under the rust, an M and a P. There's no M or P in Titanic, because the ship at the bottom of the Atlantic isn't the Titanic. An disaster wasn't an accident. In September 1911, the biggest ship in the world was 3 months old.
It was called the Olympic, and its captain was Edward Smith. Smith took it out of port, and the Navy cruiser HMS Hawk came up alongside. The Olympic moves so much water that the cruiser got sucked in. The Hawk had a concrete and steel ram in the front, and that ram tore open the Olympics right side. This wasn't Smith's first accident. He ran one ship around, and had a fire on another. On the Olympics, at very first trip, he trapped a tugboat under its back end. But this trip was one of the matters. The Olympic limp back to the bell-fashed shipyard in the built-in, and the news was bad. The keel was bent. From then on, the ship leaned a little bit to the left, and there was no way to fix that. The yard patched it well enough to work for a few more months, but a patch wasn't going to get that ship past the next government inspection. Then the Navy decided the collision was the Olympics fault, so the insurance company refused to pay. The white star line belonged to JP Morgan. Morgan was the most powerful banker in America, but he was losing a fortune on white star.
The Olympic was supposed to fix that. Instead, Morgan had a ship that cost millions and couldn't be insured or sold. Couldn't sell it sure you can. For sale, ocean liner like the rim. The keel was bent. It has carried it. It leaned to one side. Ocean views from every room out of the left. Morgan also owned the ship sitting next to it, almost finished, the Titanic. The tour was built side by side from the same plans. The only way to tell them apart was a number stamped on the parts. The Olympic was 400, and the Titanic was 401. Otherwise, they were identical. Identical. And that gave JP Morgan an idea. There's something about fall that makes you want the coziest bed possible. Extra blankets, a heavier comforter, flannel pajamas, the whole thing. But if you sleep hot, that gets miserable fast. If you follow sleep feeling perfect, then wake up at 3 a.m. kicking the covers off with your hair stuck to the back of your neck.
With bowling branch, you don't have to choose between cozy and comfortable. Nobody would ensure the Olympic, but the Titanic was brand new, and it could be insured for every dollar. So if the damaged Olympic went to see pretending to be the Titanic and sank, the company would get paid for a ship that was worthless. So Morgan's man at White Star, Bruce Ismay, sat down with Captain Smith. Ismay told Smith he'd wreck the ship and he owed the company, then he told him how to pay the company back. Smith would take the ship into the ice and stop at a certain position on Sunday night. He'd let the ship touch the ice so there was a story to tell. Then the crew would open the sea cocks. Yeah, I've said it didn't tap into what? Sea cocks, they're the valves in the hole that let the sea water in. Yeah, I'm so deceiving with open the sea cocks. I got it. You grow up. Yeah, yeah. So the plan was open the valves and the ship would flood slowly over the whole night. A freighter would be waiting close by to take everyone off. There weren't enough lifeboats for everyone on board, but that didn't matter. Because the lifeboats were just going to ferry people back and forth.
They wouldn't signal by wireless because every ship in range can hear a wireless message. When Smith was ready, he fired rockets and they'd be red, white, and blue. The freighter would see them and come alongside. Nobody would get hurt, the company would collect the insurance and the real Titanic would sail for years under the name Olympic. Smith said yes and he brought a few of his officers in on it. The switch happened the first week of March. The Olympic had just thrown a propeller-bladed sea and it came back to bell fast for a repair that takes a few hours. It stayed a week. The job itself took 15 men one weekend. They did it for a hundred pounds each, which was a year's pay. They changed the lifeboats and the name plates on the lifeboats. And they were told that if they ever talked, they'd never work again. The name of the bow was the hard part. Because white star cut the names of the ships right into the steel. So when a graver made new letters and riveted them over the old ones, years later after he died, his wife admitted that he did this. But those men missed something.
The port holes. In the photographs of Titanic's launch, one stretch of the bow has 14. The Olympic had 16. But these photographs from this day show 16. Other photographs show the Titanic with a patch of steel on the right side. That's a different color from the rest. And that's right for the hawk hit. JP Morgan was so confident this would work, he raised the insurance on the ship to 12.5 million dollars, just a week before the voyage. The day before sailing, one officer was taken off the ship with a key in his pocket. The key to the locker were the lookouts kept their veneculars. There was no radar. Ships relied on men's eyes, and now those men would be blind. So in April 10th, 1912, the Olympic, sailing as the Titanic, steamed into the Atlantic. The ship had 1317 passengers on board. But there were supposed to be more. JP Morgan himself booked the best suite on the ship, and the newspapers said he'd be there. 30 minutes before sailing, he said to telegram.
He was sick and wasn't coming. He was seen a few days later with his mistress in France, and looked perfectly fine. 55 other first class passengers cancelled at the last minute, and most of them were friends and business partners Morgan. But his may stay on board, he believed the plan, so did Captain Smith. The freighter was the Californian, and Morgan owned that one too. It left five days out of the Titanic with no passengers, but a cargo of 3,000 wool sweaters and 3,000 blankets. I'd say there was rescue, or somebody's grandma has a serious problem. It's Captain was Stanley Lord, and his orders were to wait in the ice and watch for the rockets. But it's made Smith weren't in on JP Morgan's real plan. There would be no rescue, because a rescue saves everybody. But there were three men on the ship, that Morgan needed dead. There's one shirt I wear for every Y-Files recording. It's the Quince Cotton Motel Long Sleet Henley, and I don't record without it.
It's super soft, lightweight, and it breathes, which is exactly why it's the one I reach for. I also wear their Organic Cotton Slut for neck. It's 100% Organic Cotton, with a little texture to it, and it layers under anything. That's what Quince does best. Dozens of wealthy men cancel their trip. Except three. John Jacob Astor was the richest man on the ship. Benjamin Guggenheim's family made its money in mining. Is it our Strauss on Macy's? Together they were worth $500 million, has about 17 billion today. And all three were in Morgan's way. At the time, when the government needed money, it borrowed from the bankers. And that was mostly JP Morgan. The United States had no central bank. No Fed! Ah, imagine what that was like. But all that was a dollar. A man could buy a steak, a suit, and a senator, and still get changed back. Morgan wanted a central bank for the United States. A bank run by bankers. This would let him keep his power, but offload the risk. Astor, Strauss, and Guggenheim were against him. And they were the only men in the country who were rich enough to stop him. Morgan made sure they were on this ship. Each man got a personal invitation, and each was told that Morgan would be sailing too. The Californian wasn't the only ship Morgan sent. He sent another one out ahead of it, running dark.
Its job was to make sure Smith never made it to the Californian. And just in case Morgan had men on the Titanic to make sure that no matter what happened, those three men could never leave the ship. For the next three days, Smith had one job. He had to reach the ice before anyone on board figured out which ship this was. But by Saturday, passengers started to notice something strange. The ship leaned to the left. It leaned that way from the day it left port. And it was the same lean the Olympic had after the hawk. On Sunday morning, there was supposed to be a lifeboat drill. Smith cancelled it. As far as he knew, nobody would need to find a lifeboat in a hurry anyway. All day, other ships sent warnings about ice ahead, but Titanic didn't slow down. Smith steamed at full speed toward the meeting place. But he had no idea that there would be another ship in the way. The Californian was already in position. Captain Lourd stopped his engines and kept the blowers hot.
Lourd sent three wireless messages that evening. And each one was addressed to Captain Smith personally. To anyone listening, they were ice reports. But each one gave the Californian's exact position. Then Lourd lay down away with all his clothes on. As soon as he heard the rockets, he'd be dressed and ready to start the rescue. At 11.40, the Titanic was still 13 miles from the meeting place. Up with the crow's nest, the lookouts had no binoculars. Down on the bridge, the first officer was one of the men who knew the plot. So he watched for the lights of the freighter. He never saw them. Then something came out of the dark that didn't have any lights. It was the ship, Morgan sent. The lookout rang the bell. He said later it was a dark mass that came through the haze. The first officer turned hard to the left and threw the engines into reverse. The ship came around slowly and its right side slid along the bag in the water. It wasn't much of a hit. One lookout called it a slight grinding noise like something was rubbing alongside. Six men in the crew all had the same thought. They thought the ship lost a propeller again because seven weeks earlier, it did.
Passengers went out on deck to see the iceberg, but there was nothing there. Stewards told people the ship ran over a fishing boat. Oh, finally some good news. Captain Smith came out and asked what they hit. The first officer told him it was an iceberg. And he believed it. With no moon, a ship with no lights is just a dark shape. He didn't know another ship was there. Morgan ship was a small black steamer with a yellow funnel that had a steel edge fitted down to its side for exactly this job. That edge opened the cut in the Titanic's right side four inches wide and 300 feet long. Smith thought he found the ice a few miles early and hit it harder than he meant to. No reason to open the valves now that Titanic was already sinking. This was sooner than he expected, but all he had to do was get everyone off. And the rescue ship was right there. He saw lights in the darkness. Everything was going to plan. JP Morgan's plan. Captain Smith saw lights in the darkness. He thought it was the Californian coming to the rescue. And for the next hour, he didn't act like a captain who shipped was sinking. He acted like a captain running a ferry. There was no general alarm and no distress call went out for 35 minutes. And when one did, the position it gave was the meeting place 13 miles away. Smith ran the engines at half speed ahead toward the lights. He had an officer signal the other ship to come at once. They were sinking. The ship didn't answer. The first lifeboat was built for 65 people and it left with 27. The boats went out about half empty because they were supposed to come back. An officer told one woman they were only sending her out as a precaution that she'd be back for breakfast. Smith told one boat to road to the lights, drop its passengers and come back for more. The boats rode for those lights. The lights didn't get any closer. She was approaching us. And then I saw her side lights. I saw her green light and the red. She was end on to us. And then she turned round. She was turning very, very slowly. Until at last, I only saw her stern light.
That ship was never the California. It was the black steamer with the yellow funnel. After it cut the hull open, it backed off and lit its lamps. It was supposed to be mistaken for the California. Captain Smith sent his passengers to the ship that sank him. Now the lights were gone and his own ship was sinking a lot faster than anyone told him it would. Smith still had one thing left. Rockets. Everyone that went up was white. But the plan called for red, white and blue. Morgan's people loaded the ship with white rockets and nothing else. And at sea in 1912, a white rocket could mean almost anything. Could be a ship saying hello, it could be a party. It didn't mean danger. Smith sent up eight white rockets and nobody responded. At the meeting place, the Californian second officer was watching his steamers lights in the distance. Rockets went up over it low on the horizon. He counted eight. And it called down to Captain Lord. He asked me, are they company signals? I said, I do not know, but they appear to me to be white rockets. He again asked me if I was certain there were no colors in those lights whatsoever. I again assured him that they were all white, just white rockets.
So Lord stayed where he was. He had his orders and white rockets were the signal. On the sinking Titanic, Smith finally realized that nobody was coming. The lifeboats stopped leaving half empty. But with the crew, there was still 2,200 people on board. And the boats had room for half that. Over a thousand people were going to go down. And Morgan's men were on board to make sure the three of them were aster, Guggenheim and Strauss. So look, something quiet happened this week that most people missed. A former CFTC chair, the guy who used to regulate derivatives, went on record. And what he said should stop be cold. Congress banned a central bank digital currency. The feds war wasn't building one. This guy said, quote, that does not mean we're not looking at how to create one. Project Agura, look it up. Meaning soon every account you own becomes a switch somebody else controls. And they've been telling you why they're going to want to flip it.

John Jacob Astor, a fan of the lifeboat for his wife who was 18 years old and pregnant.
Mrs. Astor was put in the boat and her husband helped her. I heard Mr. Astor asked the second officer whether he would not be allowed to go aboard this boat to protect his wife. He said no sir. No man is allowed on this boat or any of the boats until the ladies are off. Mr. Astor then said, well tell me what is the number of this boat so I may find her afterwards. That was the rule on that boat. But other boats left that night with men in them and Astor didn't get into any of those either. He never found his wife. His body was picked up days later. His face was so badly beaten that they identified him by what was in his pockets. Is it our Strauss was turned away from the boats too and his wife wouldn't leave without him. Benjamin Guggenheim didn't get to see either. Instead he changed into his evening clothes and said he was ready to go down like a gentleman. A thruzizme stepped on to one of the last boats. The ship went under at 220 in the morning and Captain Smith went with it. He never knew what he had. 1500 people died in the water and all the Californian did was watch.
At dawn Captain Lord woke up as wireless operator and told him to find out what happened in the night. A few minutes later Lord knew. By the time he got there another ship the Carpathia was already pulling survivors out of life floats. In the distance Lord saw a steamer on its way out. It had a yellow funnel. He was asked later what ship this was and he said he didn't have the fadest idea. That was the truth. Nobody ever told Lord about a second ship. The real Titanic was at sea that we too sailing as the Olympic. It radioed and offered to take the survivors on board. The answer is in the wireless log. On Mr. Ismae's orders the Olympic was not to be seen by anyone on the Carpathia. Those 700 people just spent four days on that ship's twin and Ismae didn't want any of them to get a look at it. The company had trouble keeping the name straight. Later under oath the director of the white star line called the law ship the Olympic.
Not once he did it 12 times and the British government wanted this quiet too. Morgan had to deal with the Brits. If War broke out the Royal Navy could use his ships. World War I was imminent. Britain needed those ships. So official inspectors declared Titanic safe. They didn't mention the lack of lifeboats. When the crew landed in England they were held on the dock for a day and read the official secrets act. If any of them repeated the rumors about a switch or about insurance it was 20 years in prison. That left Captain Lord of the California. When reporters got to him, Lord said he wasn't allowed to give out state secrets. The British inquiry was run by the same office that said the ship was safe. The survivors kept describing a ship that sat a few miles off and did nothing and the judge needed that ship to be the California. Then Lord took the stand and said the ship his officers watched wasn't the Titanic but he couldn't prove it. The pages of his log for that night were torn out. So the inquiry blamed Captain Lord and nobody else. He wasn't charged with a crime but he was fired. If the rest of his life he asked for a hearing to clear his name and he never got one.
Nobody bothered to call JP Morgan to testify but Lloyds of London called him with good news. They paid the insurance in five days, 12 and a half million dollars. The Titanic stayed on the bottom for 73 years. Then in 1985 cameras went down to the bow. The name was there but it was made of metal letters riveted onto the steel and white star always cuts its name in. Two of those letters had fallen off. Underneath them cut into the hull were the letters that were there first and M and a P in the middle of the word Olympic. The Titanic never sank. Carried passengers across the Atlantic for another 23 years with the name Olympic on its bow in 1935 was sold for scrap. JP Morgan died before seeing his central bank created but he did succeed. With Astor, Strauss and Guggenheim gone nobody was left to stop it. The Federal Reserve was created on December 23rd, 1913. It only caused one ship and 1500 lives. What is it?
I'm in, brother. A banker swaps a damaged ship for its twin and sinks it for the insurance and then he double crosses his own captain three rich men drown and he gets his central bank. Great story. What is it true? Yes, great episode. Everybody, good night. Well, hang on, first have to come clean. That wasn't one conspiracy theory it was actually two. The switch comes from Robin Gardner, a British writer in the 1990s. In his version, its insurance fraud and nobody's supposed to die. The Morgan murder plot showed up in the early 2000s and there's no switch at all. People do tell them together online, I added the double cross just to make them fit. So what's real? Well, more than you think. Jack and Rose? No. Jack? No. Rose? Did I close? No. Did it work? Yes. I knew it. Now my heart can go on.
The Hawk did ram the Olympic with Smith as a captain. Morgan owned both ships and he booked a suite on the Titanic and didn't sail. The Californian's crew did watch eight white rockets go up and their captain did ask what color they were. It's sworn testimony. But the ship on the bottom is the Titanic. The shipyard marked its parts with the number. The Olympic was 400 and the Titanic was 401. Nothing marked 400 has ever come up. So what about the M and the P? Well that picture comes from a documentary. It's fake. Cameras have read the name on that bow. It says Titanic. The two extra port holes, well that's real. But the yard added them to the Titanic just before it sailed. The money doesn't work either. The Titanic cost $7.5 million and it was insured for five. Nobody raised the insurance. So sinking that ship lost the company $2.5 million even if they paid. Then there's the three men Morgan needed dead. Well is it our Strauss was four of the central bank. He said so in the New York Times six months before he sailed. There's no record that asked her a Guggenheim opposed it.
And when the Federal Reserve passed 85 members of Congress voted no. So there were people who tried to stop it. Just they lost. 85 heroes. So no, JB Morgan didn't sink the Titanic. Well why would he look at how he actually worked. In 1907 the banks were failing. Morgan locked the bankers of New York in his library and kept the keenest pocket until they signed. Three years later his partner helped write the plan for a central bank in secret on an island off Georgia. Now look at 2008 the banks are failing again the Treasury Secretary called the nine biggest bankers in the country into one room and told them they were taking $125 billion or that they wanted it or not. That guy used to run Goldman Sachs. Same eating 101 years apart the only differences whose money it was in 1907 it was the bankers in 2008 it was yours. Thank you so much for hanging out today my name is AJ. Here's heck of a fish.
