Meet the Red Bull Dragonberry Emergizer. It's one of the many new drinks out now. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so quiet. Try them all only at McDonald's. Who knows what evil looks in the hearts of men. The shadow knows. While we're waiting for the first act of the shadows, they just adventure to begin, I'd like to ask every motorist to do this.

Take a ride on the new Goodrich Safety Silver Town Tire. See for yourself how it grips wet slippery roads, but you never felt a tire grip before. That's because the amazing Silver Town lifesaver tread adds like a battery of windshield wipers. Sweeps wet roads so dry you can light a match on its track. For the quickest non-skid stops you've ever had, equip your car with Goodrich Silver Town Tire. The shadow, mysterious character, wade, close and distress, and helps the forces of law and order is in reality the Mark Kranzven, wealthy young man about talent. Kranzven's friend and companion, the lovely Margot Lane, is the only person he knows to whom the unseen voice belongs. The only one who knows the true identity of that master of other people's minds, the shadows. Today is the story, the man who murdered time.

Mr. Kranzven, under half of all the employees of the club, I wish to thank you for your generous new years gift to the personnel. It's quite all right, Stuart. Have a new year. Happy new year, sir. I wish I could have made it more, Kranzven, but it hasn't been a terribly good year for me. I'm sorry to hear it, you. But the way how is Mrs. Hughes feeling these days? Poor lady. The doctors of sanitarium say she may pull out of the next year. That's why I'm looking forward to the new year so eagerly. Well, Hughes, if there's anything I can do in the way of financial assistance, thanks for the man, but I won't be late today. I expect to be out of debt very shortly. Business improving? No, trust fund is coming due in two weeks. Inheritance for my uncle, Matthew, you know, I've delighted the energy user. Well, only eight hours to a brand new year and new hope for all of us. Amen to that. You're coming to my new year's e-body tonight, aren't you? I meant to tell you, Kranzven, I'll be late. I got a call this morning from a second cousin of mine, once we'd come to see him this evening.

Brilliant scientist, but I expect he's losing his mind. No one claims to have invented a time machine. A time machine? Yes, fantastic, isn't it? Come, Hughes. Is anything really fantastic in the modern world of science? Thirty years ago, the notion that a human voice could circle the earth without the aid of wires would have been called not only fantastic, but impossible. Radio, liquid light, aeroplanes, all will call fantastic in their time, but the data accepted facts. One of the paneshi. Well, I'm from Missouri. Anyway, I'm really going to see my cousin, not because there's a alleged invention, but because he's dying. Yes, the poor chef got an incredible heart condition. So many doctors don't give him more than a few days to live. Well, I got to be off. See you tonight, then, Hughes. Only a miracle will keep me awake, Hanson. A miracle like a time machine. Well, here, will it? Think that water. There. You better know? Yes, yes, better use.

Perhaps you better get into bed, will it? Frankly, I didn't expect to find you up and about, rest to kill, rest to kill. Very good. Such an appraise. Where, why not? This is probably the last day of my life. I'm sure it's not as bad as all that will it. If you take care of yourself. I'm come, Hughes. I'll never see the new year. That's what you're really thinking. No, I've done today. What will it? The things I've wanted to do all my life. Packed them all into this one long, glorious day. I smoked two dollars cigars, eaten the finest food, scored thousands of dollars, worth it. Completely useless things just for the fun of indulging myself. Will it? Of course it's good. I'm broke. I am. Then how does it work? Barred dear cousin. Spent other people's money in curd enormous debts. Paidable next year. Next year. Which will never come. I'm sorry, will it? What are you sorry about? I'm not. Matter of fact, I've just begun to celebrate. And you must join me, Hughes. Absolutely insist. I bought a marvelous sherry today. A rare vintage.

You rank sir? No, you need a bottle. That's a sherry, John. Yes sir. I have it here sir. Fine, fine. Put it on the table. Shall I pour it? No, I'll do it myself. That's all, John. Very good. Hey, you are Hughes. Drink hot air. Thank you. How do you like it? Next time. And bruise here, huh? It has a peculiar flavor, isn't it? Oh, where to go on you? Finish it, Hughes. Drink to my last day on a... Oh, no, no, not to the last day. To my last day on a... And yours might be a cousin. Who? My last day. Hughes, I told you that today I'm into satisfy every ambition I ever had. Well, I've left for the last my greatest ambition of all. To kill you. To kill me? What are you? You're joking. You think so, Hughes? Why? What have I ever done to you? What have I done to me? You've been a born in my throat ever since we were boys together.

I believe you are. You're really sorry. I've been to you. I'd have been Uncle Matthew's fair-haired boy, his favorite is Pat. He would have raised me and loved you instead of you. You called with him. You would have left me, is money, not you. You're Judas. You had everything while I starved, scraped, suffered. I threw it over that, my fine cousin, a whole lifetime. And now, this wonderful day, this last day of the year, I'm going to kill you. I'm going to kill you not once, but a thousand times. You see that machine in the corner? I see, well, it's too calm down. That's my time machine. You're your time machine. I remember your say. You know what this machine can do. It can prevent the future from happening. It's a future from happening. Oh, now, now look, Willett. Let me call your physician. I'll be a poll. The machine, as you are, at the scientific machine, not a madman's toy. You know how it works? Of course not. I'll explain it in simple terms. Use what is time?

Time is like a railroad track. A straight railroad track used. And the world is a train running along that track. On a track behind us lies yesterday, December 30th. The day we're traveling along that section of track we call December 31st. And at midnight tonight, the train you are, the whole universe, is scheduled to punch straight ahead in the January 1st of the new year. You follow me, so far, you? Yes. What is this to do with your so-called crime machine? Just this. By using a revolutionary principle of physics, my own discovery, my machine bends the straight track of time curves. It curves itself at the time track forms a perfect circle. You pull it to science and expect. I've done it. I say, that, listen to me, you?s. Midnight tonight, when I turn on the switch time will instantly be curved back on itself. So that instead of continuing into January 1st, we'll go back 24 hours. We'll live December 31st over again. And again and again, like a phonograph leader, caught in the grooves.

I think I believe that this day will never end. That you can make December 31st. Repeat itself forever. Oh, I can laugh at you. Glad you're full. You won't laugh long. Today I've been especially careful to make it the fullest, happiest day of my life, because I'm going to live this wonderful day forever. I'll catch time in that fool and hold it there. The future will never come. I never have to pay my debt. It's like my bad heart. I'll never die. I'll have to be as insane as you to believe that. Would you like a demonstration? Sing the first out to the end. Are you? Well, wait a minute. Demonstrate. That's the proper scientific spirit, you. I have set the machine to affect nearly this house in ourselves. What incident of the last half hour do you want me to make with Pete itself? Choose. The Butler and the ship. John and the Sharia. Very good. And I want you to bear in mind that just as time will be repeated here in this room for the next few moments. So can I repeat time throughout the whole world not once, but again and again. Now, let me adjust my machine.

Now the flow is the circuit. You rang, sir? Really well. It's a very young. Yes, I have it here. Put it on the table. I'll do it myself. I told you, John. Very good. There. The automatic circuit cut us off and we're back in ordinary time again. Convince, fuse. It's impossible. It's a trick of three of a nightmare. You'll be saying that for all eternity. I'm going out here. Are you cousin? Fry it if you can. I'm better life. I can't get out of this chair.

You feel pain now, don't you? Yes, yes, what a pain. You shouldn't have drunk the Sharia used. Your glass contained the slow poison you see. No, no help. There's an antidote on the table. You see that little green bottle? You just beyond the reach of your fingers. Because did I run it? If you could only move it around, I'll be here. Try it. Oh, you can. Give me how very, very sad all you can do is look at the antidote while you die in agony. Please, please, what's happening? Help me. I don't want to die. It's a little while now, so I do a little while. Almost midnight, you die just before midnight, and then I'll turn on my machine. Set it to affect the whole world forever and tie them all over the world and start back 24 hours. Everybody in the world will live December 31st over again and again forever and ever. You two, you. You'll visit me again. Drink the poison. Cherry again. Die again.

Live again. Hold the lock. I know you're the lovely New Year's Eve party I ever attended. Margo? You dance beautifully. Thanks a lot. I wonder what's happened to you, Liz. You said he'd be late for the party. Hold it everybody. It comes to New Year. I think New Year's is a lot. Right here, Margo. Hey? Come on in! You can begin! Dann it! Anaia. She's ready. Take all your drinks. She's ready. Take the camera! Hold it everybody! It comes to New Year! Oh! Ay don't be gone. Don't be gone, Margo. Don't be gone! Get downer. Alright? Ping? Ten? You have him. I'm still your arms dancing with you, but it's not the party.

The new year's the party in your apartment. How could that be? I don't know, Mallow. What is that awful crash? I don't know. But look around you, Mallow. We're dancing in the van. I'm going to get out of here. I'm going to get out of here. We're dancing in the van a little, Klo. But we were dancing in the hall of Louis Cod. Right here last night. Last night at midnight. I mean, 24 hours ago. Oh, I don't know what I mean. Keep dancing with me, Mallow. I've got to figure this out. Seems like a dream. Yes, that's it. The mod is a dream. I dreamed through the whole day. December 31st, right up to midnight. Then that crash. And I woke up here in the hall of Louis Cod. Mallow, it wasn't a dream, I told you. And what was it, Mallow? I don't know. Something's gone wrong, Mallow. Something's gone wrong with the whole world. Everything seems all right, Mallow. Mallow, hold on to me.

Don't let go. Let's walk back to our table. All right, but I don't understand. Keep holding on. Mallow, do you remember last night? Just about this time, as we were dancing. A waiter accidentally dropped a whole tray full of dishes. Why were you so sad, so the mod? The mod is happening. He dropped it just as he did last night. Yes, I see it all now, Mallow. We actually live through December 31st. We, everybody, the whole world. But just as the last stroke of midnight came, something happened to find me. Time? Yes. I'm stuck back 24 hours. Week the Red Bull Dragonberry Images. It's one of the many new drinks out now. Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire? Try them all only at McDonald's. Instead of going on to January 1st, the world went back to the first moment of December 31st. But nobody else seems to realize what's happened.

Yes, that is strange. Apparently, everybody's forgotten that they lived through the last days of the year. Why do we remember? Mallow, I believe that the same power that makes me invisible to others has something to do with this. What do you mean, Mallow? We have to go in India. I was studying with the yogi priest. I developed my powers of concentration, my power of will. To such an extent that apparently this accident of time doesn't affect me. I'll long have the able to fight against it, I don't know. Did I have them through a power, Lamar? I thought you were remembering too. Mallow, because of the instant time flashback, you happened to be dancing with me, you were in my arms, but then they all of my will, my influence. No. Just so long as you're touching me, you'll remember too. Mallow, I can't believe that I can. Well, then try it. Let go of me. Go on, let go, Mallow. All right. You write Lamar, do you remember the Higgins, L.Q.? Yes, that's the thing. Well, I'll go ahead and make you and I go somewhere else. What am I saying?

What happened, Mallow? How am I supposed to hold him again? Mallow, the instant you let go of me, you said exactly what you said 24 hours before. When I grabbed you, you snapped back three of the new times, then. Then it's true. Mallow, I'm afraid. Don't let go. Very, Mallow. But it's horrible. People will go on living through the cemetery for a two-hour eternity, never knowing, never realizing. You're not going to never do a new year. They're absolutely right. Unless this can be stopped. That only one stop is. That being human could have caused the thing not to happen. I'm not so sure, Mallow. New is told me that a cousin of his, a brilliant scientist, claimed to have invented a time machine. That cousin of yours may be responsible for what's happened to time. A terrific man, ready to live. You didn't say. I have to find him, some way. And when I do, Mallow, it'll be, he has the shadow. Perhaps the shadow will be able to switch time back to normal. Bring the new year to a world doomed to live a day which never ends.

In just a minute, the curtain rises on act two of the shadows of adventure. Meanwhile, a word to you, Mover. You slow down, passing a school. You pass other cars on a hill. You come to a full stop, but street intersection. The shadow wonders. The terrific core of deaths and injuries indicates that too many motorists fail to exercise caution. Fail to consider the other fellow. Play safe. It pays. I'm overest here's one thing more. If you only realize the importance that safe tires to play in safe mowering, you wouldn't hesitate a minute to put the new Goodrich safety silver downs with the life saver tread on your car. For a member, this new silver down isn't much more than a new tire. It's a new kind of tire safety. On the inside, it has the famous blowout protection of the Goodrich golden fly. And on the outside, it has the amazing new life saver tread. The tread that sweeps wet road so dry, you can actually light a match on its track.

Yes, sir, that's ready dry. So it's hardly surprising that silver towels will give you the quickest non-skid stops you've ever had. Margo, keep holding on to me. I will, Amon. We can walk my partner, you can follow her. I know, don't you let me come with you. No, Margo. This is the shadows, gentlemen. Maybe dangerous. I want you to deceive me. Face in the world, God, Marb. Oh, what are you saying? It's good to slip it, right? Yeah, hold on to me more tightly. Of course, yes. Oh, my God. What happened? What happened? What happened? What happened? What happened? Hey, here comes a cop. Somebody call an ambulance. I won't return. Oh, my God. Come on. You remember, Margo? Last night on this very staff? Same taxi, the same corner.

Same for the men stuck down. It's happened all over again. Yes, Margo. It'll happen all over again every 24 hours from now until Tuesday. Which twice, maybe. Look at that woman over and over. Unless I can put time back on its pack, Margo. I must. That's how it. Oh, look at that woman. She's going to be over there. You haven't even an overcoat. You look hungry, but, devil. Margo. Remember last night? In a moment, you'll stop at that door and ask me for a dime. Seriously, listen. Could you give me a dime so you cut the coffee? I'm so cold on the freezing. Oh, thanks. Bye, Margo. Is one thing I'm glad, Ablamar. You don't know. You don't know who's doing the shiver and freeze and fad like that forever. A million is nothing. Millions of unfortunate shivering and fadding all over the world tonight. Not machine. I must find that machine. Here we are, Margo.

Don't bother to take me out. There's some much for you to do. So much, Lamont. The doer man will let me in. It's exactly the same time I got home last night. Leave in this lane. Bad night, ain't it? I'll amont. Find you as his cousin. Since time's repeating itself. I always say when we meet again. You'll meet me in the afternoon at my club. This is your lucky. Yesterday. We'll talk as we talk then. Perhaps he'll be able to tell me. What's the matter? You're so pale, Sabinus. It's funny, huh? But we're just in there. If I strengthen my strength of my will, we're hitting away. Could it be that I could? The matter of my strength, you've got to be strong. The world needs your strength. Yeah, I'll have to. You're getting my power. I'll strengthen it. The goal. The wind is very fighting, Miss Layne. Yes, it is. Said will you take me out to my office? Yes, you're right, Sabinus. Gone. Say it up, Sabinus. Goodbye, Margot. Until tomorrow. Tomorrow, heaven comes.

Mr. Craig. I'm the half of all the employees of the club. I wish to thank you for your generous true years. Get to the front mail. Don't you hear? Don't you want to say what I mean to you? And may I thank you too, Mr. Hughes, for your good news. You're welcome, sir. Happy New Year. Happy New Year, thank you. Good. Stop. I was a bit of more of a question, but it hasn't been a bit of a good year. Hughes, let me take your hand. You're nearly repeating what you said 24 hours ago. Fally, though. I'll just say if you make full out of it. Who is your friend? That's why I love you. Who is he? He's a New Year. So eagerly. The office is not attuned to my will. I'll have to follow you. Make him leave me to this cousin of his. Better be a cousin. I'm very shortly. And this comes to take. I will pass into the clearing. I must hold on until Hughes visits his cousin. Can vent? You can't speak. It's impossible, Will. It's a trick to dream. I'll be saying that for all eternity. I'm getting out of here. Are you cousin? Friday, what you can. I can't. I can't. I can't. I don't realize. I can't.

I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I don't realize. I can't get out of this carriage. Cruz. You can. You're not paralyzed now. You don't know. He's not going to... .....is for all of us. Thousand thousand. There is no paying union, and... drank тебя. BYLEELY. 妳ón glas... she sings low poison. Gross !! she sings low poison. nts no help ! I have helped you. She's not poisoned... ...why does she absolutely want you? Try to get out of that fear. Fear. Hold me. Hold me. Now try it. I've broken the grip. Time's still a little. Have you made something happen that didn't happen yesterday? You did something just now. You didn't do that. You'd like to get it open instead of the poison. Try. Try you. I heard a voice. A voice? There's no one here. No one but...

Try. Try it, Ben. Share. Out the book. Share. I'm standing. I'm praying. I'm praying. Thank goodness. I'm sorry. Yours. Can you hear me now? Why are you? Who are you? I'm your new villain. I don't think he's me. I hear something. Move me. Who are you? Never mind who I am, yours. Get out of this house at once. Go to the home of your friend. The one crunched. Yes, yes. You went to attend the New Year's Eve party there. Remember? Yes, yes. I... You do remember. Please, meet me to hold you now. I will you to go. Yes, this is why. Yes, yes, yes. Yes. This is why. It's almost midnight. You die just before midnight. Yes. Where am I? Who is that? You'll feel my pain, I will it. I hope it you fast. I'll do you here. I will. Submit to my will. It dominates you. It snatches you from the field of evil times

where you cost over the world. I'm powerless in the grip of some invisible force. And it speaks. Who are you? I... I have the shadow. The shadow. Dr. Willard. Your guilty of acquittance crime of a perpetrator against mankind. You thought to condemn the rest of the world when eternity of cold and darkness and sun. No, no. I didn't mean to do that. You wanted an eternal life of pleasure of evil. You tried to stay back forever. That death that hung over you like a soul. Oh, my God. Just satisfy your nervousness. You tried to. You did. Break the laws of nature. So you must be done in your ductile. I will. Oh. In a moment I shall smash your devilish time machine. Reuse it to sprint or to scrap it. And the instant the machine is smashed, time will snap back to normal. Instantaneously time will take up where it's at all. But you put the machine into operation. Excell will cut. What you thought it destroyed for never. That you year.

The blessed you year. That means you hope and happiness for the good. And the innocent people of the world. Well for you. It will bring what got to be great for you. Yes. No. No, it's not smash machine. Give me one more day of life. Just one. I'll smash it myself. Not one or not one. Oh. Not one. Just one more. Stop. No. Eleven. Well. It's a new year, Le Mans. Yes, Father. A new year. I love. Yes. Well. Yes. Father. A new year. I love. Yes. Yes. Father. Say. Why you? I'm sorry to have been late. I don't know what happened to me. I feel as if I just woke up from a bad dream. I have found myself running. Running up here. Listen to you, you're ill. No, he's all right, Marco. You are all right, aren't you? Say, I... I... I am?

What time is it? It's just that 12 o'clock with you. It's Happy New Year. New Year? Well, yes. Happy New Year, everyone. Happy New Year, you're ill. I know you. It doesn't matter what's happened, Le Mans. It's a dream to me. I had a dream, too. That's strange as sort of dream. Perhaps you did, Marco. Well, anyway. Happy New Year, Le Mans. Happy New Year. Happy New Year.

Happy New Year. Today's program is based on a story copied right above the Shadow magazine. All the characters and all the places named are fictitious.
