All right, back for another Friday forecast. Look at the fellas. Everybody's looking good. Ready for a big game Saturday. Not good, bronzes. You know, I'm 50. Yeah, I do my best. If you're looking pretty good, they're brought. Thank you very much. Yeah. How's everybody feeling? I feel better. I feel actually pretty good about the game. Health wise up. My my shoulders are both shot. I don't know why, but they are. You're doubtful. You're doubtful. Yeah, I know. I'm out. Like Sam let it doubtful. Are you actually doubtful? Yeah, that's kind of weird. Yeah, I don't strip up. I believe that. Yeah, I really believe that it comes out of it. It was you right now. I mean, that's kind of tough. Right. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. That's kind of tough. Yeah. No, Lane Kivens are complete. Peace of crap. I believe anything he says. What? What's just be. Let's just be real. Like too many people. Too many people coddled. And he's funny on eggs. And no, he's he's a clock. He's a piece of crap. Maybe he just understands the entertainment side of this business.

No, he's a. He's a piece of crap. No, he's a. So you like Lane Kivens is one of the. No, he sucks. He's not. I think he's. He's a. No, he's. He's a. He's a. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. I like him. I like him. I know. I don't. For too many stories that have kept coming and coming. And nothing's changed with that guy. Nothing's changed with that guy. Okay. All right. We're going to talk all kinds of stuff. All of our new. A Southern Mess takeaways. If we want to dive back into that. What we heard this week. From. Three to one. We'll go ahead and point to some. Obviously, right? Obviously. Or kicking me on a few words for a. Same included, or nation어 1940. It's. The very single store in widely common. Moffat running company.

Mini-lifts settled. And yeah. Why not. We're going into atting the games. who's going to throw the first touchdown, and who's going to have rushing yards over a nunger and touchdowns, passing touchdowns, and all that kind of stuff. But their big thing is live trading. So you can go place trades before the game. It's based on percentages and kind of what the market is saying. So I think right now it's probably like Florida, or in for instance, I think it's 55% Florida. And so it's, which is probably sounds about right. So the betting, the public is certainly trading more towards Florida, but barely. It's very, very even. I think that's kind of how most people view the game. But then they have the live trading aspect where you can dive into games, whether it's college football and a bill and make trades while the game's going on, whether your team's off to a good start, bad start, whatever you think's going on. The percentages change throughout. So you can go in there and make live trades. You can cash out. You make a, you make a, you make a, make a trade and on Auburn to win this game and they jump up 21-0,

cash out. I mean, you know, you could, you could ride it till the end, obviously, but if you're like, oh, man, that's a pretty good, if you bet a pretty good amount of money or, or if you, you know, toss a little bit of money out there, you, you want to cash out, you can cash out in the middle of the game. Same thing the other way. If you think it's not going well, you can cash out and there's not, and not lose all your money. So it's an interesting thing, obviously, be smart about it. Go put the code in on three, 50 bucks. So you put like, whatever you put like 10 bucks in and they'll give you 50 bucks if you use the code on three. So go check them out. I'll try to find the, and it's not all sports. I hope the folks at Hadoah have state cashed out in the fourth quarter or early to the fourth quarter. Ooh, I know. Could you imagine a return if you jumped on Texas when they're down, was it 21-3, or whatever it was? Oh, yeah. I mean, it was probably, I mean, I don't know what it was. Yeah, you'd have made, so right now Florida's 56% of the Auburns 44%. They've got, I think some game props. You can do first half, you know, first half winner,

second half winner, first team to score points. What would you, what would you set the percentages at if you were making that? 51 Auburn 49 Florida, but I'm more interested. You can on Pauli Market, you can trade US presidential election winner. And I just true story. I'm looking at it right now. And Dwayne the Rock Johnson is getting 2% right now. You get for your money, yeah. I mean, seriously, yeah. He's even with Mark Kelly, which is crazy. Just one man's opinion. And by the way, if you want to really look ahead, Auburn Vanderbilt in two weeks, Auburn 74%, Vandy 27%. We'll see how this sat down, it looks before we think if that's, I think, you know, we'll see. It's two weeks away. All right, let's talk about it. Do you guys do anything from last week you want to carry over? You want to just go straight into Auburn, Florida? I mean, we talked a little bit earlier than we Brett Edons and I about goalish's sloppy comments.

And, you know, just kind of how he came across and, you know, in post game and sort of the effect of that, which we thought was, was interesting. Certainly like, I think fans certainly, I think appreciated. What he had to say. Yeah, he's a fisterious dude. He has high expectations because he knows he's trying to get this program going in the right direction. And I think it's the time for you to be really tough. And he's a difficult guy to pleasure as far as football, right? I mean, you've got to do a lot of things to make him happy as a coach. And I don't know that we've seen it yet. I don't know. I don't know. Brian and I were talking about that on the run down the other day. I don't know that we'll ever see him happy and satisfied. With that said, I liked what I saw from ESM game. All you can do in an opponent like that, where you're just better than them. And a man is be clean and be smart with the football. And I thought they did both of those things. So for me, the outing against USM was really, really good.

Yeah, I agree. It was a good game. I thought, Bob and Brown was really efficient and clean. And even though it looked like he was caught in no man's land, trying to figure out if he should run or throw, he did make some good decisions, actually. And I still think he throws a great ball, even though it looks kind of funky. As far as goalless, you love that he has the meaner about it after they win a game and win it lopsided like that. It gives you confidence moving forward that he is aware of everything. And I think 90% of it is probably genuine. And that's how he feels. And he's really mad about some of the things that they're not doing well. And then 10% is probably, I just think he understands messaging. I think he understands that we're obviously your last coach did not. The messaging here is maybe he's getting out in front of it a little bit and saying, the big thing to me is we have to be the best version of ourself, what sounds so cliche. But when you look into it, he's saying, we ain't getting no more talented than we are.

So we got to be better at these things to win football games against some of the more talented teams. There's no way to get any more talented right now. He jokes on Tiger Talk, Colin. He did it last night again about how the people are so nice when they ask questions. They say, coach, go wish we're so glad to have you here. And he goes, yeah, you guys are saying that because I'm undefeated right now. See what happens after we lose a code. And it's kind of that messaging, you know, he's getting out in front of it because they're going to lose some of these games. It is what it is. I don't see all of them going undefeated. They all know what's just be real here. Maybe you never know anything can happen. But the matchups say that they don't win all these games. This matchup is better this week. This is one where you really need it. You need it. You need it. I'm with you. I mean, let's talk about Auburn Florida because you're just going to learn so much about these two teams.

You're going to learn so much. I mean, we probably think we have an idea a little bit of what Auburn is. Maybe Florida feels like they have an idea. But this is the week where you're going to find a lot of things out about this game. Where would you start when you think about this game? Figure out who's going to win, how it's going to go. I feel like the easy thing is to say Auburn's offensive line. And that might be correct. Where do you start? We can just go around the Horn, Brian, J. Cole. Where would you start when you think about this game going? All right. How's this thing going to go? What's the X factor? What's the group, the player, and then kind of go from there? Maybe there's a couple of things that you think this thing hinges on. I would say running game, which obviously incorporates offensive on a big way. But I think Auburn has to run the ball. I think they have to have a somewhat conservative plan. They're playing at home. They get great support here. I think Auburn's defense is good. I think they'll match up fairly well. Far to maybe far is better than I think.

But I think Florida is about all about their running back. And I think Auburn's going to put a lot into stopping them. And I think they got the right personnel to stop. I got like that, even though he's very, very talented. So to me, it's run the ball, make plays on special teams, win the fourth quarter. That's been the recipe for losses lately, because they don't win the fourth quarter. But I think this team is different. So yeah, heavy, bar and brown, heavy, Jeremiah Cobb, Omar, maybe Bryson, and hope the offensive line can do better. I'm going to go with the head coach on Tiger Talk last night. He's talking about special teams focused on really returns, stopping the return, like return defense or Rangers, we used to call it. I think special teams that comes down to that. I think the offense, both teams have pretty good offenses. Both teams have pretty good defenses. And so I think a special team is what I would look for. Specifically trying to maximize their, have Alex continue laying this. I mean, what he did last week was amazing. So just stay with that defensively also, you know, special teams defense. That's where I was going to go with a J.

Weirdly enough, I feel like Auburn's offense is going to have enough to win the game. Is that crazy? No, I think they're efficient enough to score points and put themselves in position in the game. It's actually the defense. I feel a little bit more worried about from Auburn's standpoint because I really like Florida's offense. I actually think Aaron Files is really good. I don't know how he's going to respond to this yet. That's the biggest question to me. The question is not, is he good? I think he's pretty good. He looks poised. Those are great ball. He's got a little bit of running ability. And I really like Buster Foughtner's offense. It's multiple. They got formations. Just so many formations. And then they throw the ball well. They got these talented receivers. And then you got Jaden Ball on top of that. Like, what can you do with him? Are you able to hold him under 100? Because he's a guy that goes for 100 in his sleep, right? And I'm like, that's kind of a tough matchup for this defense. I'm kind of with, I was thinking about that actually yesterday, Cole.

I was, I feel like we focus so much on offense. Of course, we're trained to in recent years to just be like, what was the offense going to do anything? And they do. There's still question marks about Alvin's offense of line. I mean, they're really are. But I think because of how we're all just concerned about the offense, you just sort of assume DJ Dirk and the deepens are going to take care of it. It's like, they're going to be fine. And I think they kind of are, but I do think you're right. I mean, I was actually literally thinking yesterday is that the defense is, they're more pressure on the defense because Florida does have a lot of weapons and a really good running back. And I thought Alvin's defense has played well. A few busted coverages, maybe in the Baylor game. Certainly gave up some yards, but didn't give up a ton of massive plays. Obviously had a couple of picks, had some turnovers. Liveways, completion percentage wasn't great. So I mean, they held their own running game. Yards precarious was good. I mean, Baylor ran 100 plays.

And so they're going to rack up yards. So yeah, I mean, I think there's, I think it's fair, like how Alvin's defense of line stacks up and what they do against the Ron Follow is just interesting to me. I wrote about him like, I think he's good too. Clearly, Buster Falker thinks he's good. I mean, he's, but then you look at his experience and you're like, okay, stone 144 total passes. Only four picks, that's a good good. His last five games are against Campbell, Florida Atlantic, Syracuse, Temple and Gardner Web. That's through last season. He hasn't thrown a pass against the, like, yeah, I don't, I'm, they didn't throw pass in the Syracuse game. He didn't throw a pass against the Powerful Reponents since 2024. Now, I'm not saying Eek, he's not going to come out and play well. I just think it's interesting. I just, you know, I think there's an opportunity there. Maybe at least early on, whether it's the crowd,

whether it's Derek and I'm curious if Derek and Truss have been more aggressive early on because of, and try to rattle him a little bit. Maybe he's awesome. And it doesn't matter. And he's just ready for the moment, and Golis spoke highly of him. But it's just, it's kind of, it's a unique dynamic, I think, when you have a quarterback like Follow who's just played nobody. Like, let's just be real. He's played nobody in his career. And then he's stepping in on the road against Alvern. And there's just sort of an assumption that he's just, it's all good. It's all good. He's going to be great. And maybe, maybe Will, I just think it's something to watch out for and see if the crowd or Durkin can rattle him. I mean, I remember, I remember I thought Bo Nix would be fine. Going to go into the swamp in 2019. My Bo Nix is like, dude, he's a competitor. I don't think he's going to be right. He already beat Organ. And you know, I thought his mindset was just something that wouldn't be worried about the crowd. And it was, I was way, way, way wrong in that. So I mean, it's, it's possible. It's allowed. Yeah. And obviously, he's a freshman. This kid's played more games and all that.

But I don't know. I'm just curious, especially early on, if the defense can be aggressive, if the crowd can play an advantage, and maybe they can go out there and make a few plays early and get on top, I think it'd be big. Follow's an interesting case for me, because, I mean, for some of the reasons that you mentioned, Hoek, you know, he plays at a relatively small school in Georgia. He is the all-time passing arts leader in the state of Georgia. But he's committed to Minnesota, and then he dumps them to go to tech, which is not a 1A school. Do you know what I mean? Like it's Georgia Tech. Like, by far is best offer. I mean, he went to the best place he could. And now he's at Florida, which is obviously terrific. And I'm looking at him going, why? You know, he's not the guy that I would expect Florida to have a quarterback. You know what I mean? Like, he doesn't have those kinds of credentials, but I mean, he's made some nice throws this year. Yeah, he was an elite 11 guy coming out of high school. Yes, he's Angus Maximus. This partner has 1.5 of a pound of hot.

Suzy cooked to honor Angus Speed. It's more face than a quarter pounder. The battle is closed. And for only 599, even regular juice can afford it. Like that guy. Yeah, big old burger. Yeah. Therapy's biggest impact doesn't show up in some dramatic breakthrough. It shows up in the smallest moments. You bite your tongue instead of escalating. You put your phone down instead of firing off that text. You say what you actually mean instead of what would hurt someone else the most. Nobody applauds those moments, but they quietly change your life. That's what growing feels like. And that's exactly what growth therapy is here for. Grow is therapy that works covered by insurance. And he was a standout. I mean, he was a guy that stood out among those guys. So he was a pretty big recruit name. Had this relationship with Buster Faulkner that went pretty far back. And obviously Buster Faulkner believes heavily in him, brought him over from Georgia Tech. And he hasn't, you know, have a lot of, you know, production. And then to make some of the starting quarterback at Florida after he's on the bench at Georgia Tech. It's a weird storyline. But they could, you don't think they could have gone in the portal with, with some role and some energy. And I'm sure they could have been really aggressive and, and getting some money behind some role could have gone, hey, we need to, we need to, let's go get a guy or buy his pump up about new hire.

Let's go get a guy. I'm sure they could have gone in there and been aggressive and landed landed somebody. So the fact that they didn't, Buster Faulkner is like, no, no, I got, I got our guy. Well, I said it earlier in the year like, if that looks, if he ends up being really good, that, that makes Buster Faulkner even more impressive that he called that, because you're right, they could have gotten anybody. And the other guy's pretty good too, Tremel Jones. I've liked him. He was a big recruit. He looks good for them every time I've seen him. So it was an interesting, it's, it's sort of making his stance on this guy. And this is where you find out if he's for real. I mean, everything else seems to for you right. He hadn't played against Power 4 in a while, but he's looked good in these games. He looks poised, too many. And, and, and any, any Auburn fan that's been around for a while knows what I'm about to say is true. And I don't feel like going back and looking up every single game, because I don't need to. I just know that this is true. And I think that's why we have watched quarterbacks come into Jerdinand Her stadium for some reason out of nowhere.

And you're nobody special good quarterback, but certainly not, you know, Peyton Manning walking in there. And they light it up and you're like, what? Where did, where did this come from? I mean, I've watched it in my lifetime. Average quarterbacks come into Jerdinand Her stadium and have the game of their life. And I don't, I don't know where I don't know how it always happens. And this guy's not average. He's a good player. I'm just saying where, you know, I'm kind of thinking about his lack of experience and what should be a rockest crowd. And if he comes in and you know has an awesome guy, it just wouldn't, it wouldn't shock me at all. I can take that all the way back to 1986. Wayne Johnson was the backup quarterback at Georgia. Auburn was a very, very good team. They're coming into Jerdinand Her stadium. We all thought we're going to kill Georgia. I was a student at the time. And then Wayne Johnson has a great game. And that game, although it was more known for being the host game, of course, because I was sitting in Stansdale when the Georgia fans took the field and the hostess came on and, and, you know,

it went a little crazy, but that was, yeah, you can go all the way back to at least 40 years, maybe longer. I was thinking 99, 98 when Georgia had David Green. And he was just some random dude. Look like Steve Young out there every time he played Auburn. I don't know what I'm getting. David Green was good. Yeah, it's over and he sure was. Yeah. And of course, looking back, you're like, oh, well, maybe he was better than we thought. I think about us up in Matt Groathie coming in there. And you're like, who, what? Well, he was he was actually really good. He was he was he's decent. Um, he's suffered was a freshman, I think back up. Maybe he was started out second or 13 that year. I don't remember, but he went off. I think his first road start was Auburn. At the very least. Yeah. Yeah, it was a morning game. I think we were all floored that he was that good. Now he's still in the NFL. But since we're talking Georgia Tech, what about Reggie ball? I think he did ball. It was recruited, but he had small connections when he recruited Bob and if I remember correctly, yeah, he had a pretty good one. She would have thrown the ball to you. Yeah, what's his name? Pretty good. Johnson.

I don't know. He don't really see you're watching in real time. You're watching this game and you're like, I'm kind of a Johnson guy. It's pretty. He goes and gets balls, you know, but if you catch us today, my gosh, you know, he's going to be the, you know, hey, teacher Hall of Famer. I wanted to ask you all real quick, because I've been asked this by, I was on a, did a mobile radio show that's Florida Gators based and they keep asking about Auburn's atmosphere. And I'm like, it's pretty well known. I guess that it's good, but they want to know why. Like what would y'all say to that? Why is Auburn's atmosphere going to be a problem for Aaron Tyler? Why could it be? Because Auburn loves Auburn and they show up no matter what that you cannot, you could probably pick up one hand a number of programs in the country that would still sell their stadium after five consecutive losing seasons and Auburn's one of them. That says everything you need to know that's just and I, you know, that's that Auburn is special because of that. I mentioned the smoke being an issue, the smoke in the fourth quarter in entrance, like it puts a haze over the field.

Yeah, only Auburn knows how to play in that. In the TV people must hate that. Gosh, it looks terrible on TV when they do that. Doesn't know. Yeah, it looks, since I'm usually watching on TV, yeah, it looks terrible. It looks super bad, particularly the fourth quarter one in the SM game. Yeah, I guess it's okay to keep doing it. It's just a good home field advantage. It always has that. I mean, it helps when you have 80 plus thousand people. I mean, it's just the sheer noise, but it's always been a good home field advantage. I mean, there's nothing, you know, it's not like, you know, Oregon, maybe the design of their stadium is kind of interesting and Florida is kind of interesting. There's different things that maybe point to different stadiums that are like, oh, this is unique. Auburn's just, it's just, you know, it's an 80 plus thousand seat stadium and the fans certainly love Auburn football. I think this is going to be. I was trying to think of a more hyped or a game where Auburn fans have been more excited about home game.

Just because, you know, it's the new regime, obviously, you're two and all that good stuff. A lot of optimism. And all that, you feel like maybe you're on the other side of Carson freeze. I think there's a vibe of like, okay, I think this coach is going to be good. I think he's going to do some good things. There's that. But I mean, I'm thinking, I don't know, I'd have to go back to. I'd have to pull it up of like, what was freeze his first year? What was freezes first big home game of when you all can, you know, I'm. It was Georgia, right? And that was the fourth quarter. Why not? Was it was that one or Oklahoma or. First game was probably 24. I think it was Georgia. It was the first. First year. They had played. You massed to open the season at home. And they went to California. Remember that game was really ugly at Cal. And then they played Sanford at home. Then they had text saying him on the road, which they lost 2017.

And then see, this is, I feel like there's a different than that. I mean, you had a loss there and you had Georgia. I mean, it's like, okay, Georgia's coming in. Got it. But if you asked most Auburn fans, they're not thinking they're going to win that game. This is like. They feel like they're, they absolutely can win this game. And there's still optimism. Obviously sitting at two. And I don't know. It just feels like one of the more anticipated home games for a lot of reasons. That I've, that I've witnessed in a while. So I think the crowd and the environment. It's always good. I think it's going to be as good as you want it to be. I think it's going to be fantastic. Saturday. It's up to Auburn. It's up to the team to do their, to do their part. We've watched. I mean, we can go down the list of all the close losses, all the closed home losses. The last few years, the crowds there, the environments there. The team has just got to come out and do their part. What would really suck is to come out and get off to a bad start and get down to nothing. And you're like, come on. I mean, if they can jump out seven, nothing. If they can just get an early lead.

I think it would do. I think it'd be tremendous. Like that would carry over into the second half. You could jump out seven, nothing. And you're, you're in that thing for a long time. I don't know. I just would hate to see him come out and get down early. Was Auburn ever down against Baylor? They were ahead of the whole game, right? Think so. They jump out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You could maybe look at the 24 California game that was at home. The second game of the season. They lost that one. 2114 four picks. Yeah. The skyman does it. Like what the heck? Yeah. The windows again. Of course. They weren't in a good run of form. But I'd say the car. L. Texas. A M game was electric. I mean, I know that it was. It was. Yeah. You're right. That was. Yeah. Yeah. Different. Obviously. Yeah. Different dynamic. For sure. Yeah. I'd say maybe the Penn State game in 20. That was a big. I was either defeated and they got crushed. But. 21. I think that was the 230 CBS game. And. That's what you're with that. That was 22.

22. What? Carson. Oh, no, you're right. 22. 21 was at this. Harson for sure. Yeah. Jeffrey always gets mad about that game because we worked really hard. That was like the biggest recruiting visitors list ever. And for them to just look like they did all those recruits really even in halftime. Screw this. Nobody talking to me. I'm out. Yeah. That's a. That's a. Carson and freeze letting Penn State and Cal come in there. In Berson. When games. Berson. Berson. Rose. Just. How about 24 you beat. So you beat Alabama A&M and you scored 73 on them in the opener. So you're going, hey, maybe they got some offense. I'm going to score four picks against Cal. And then they beat New Mexico with Hank Brown. You're like, hey, resurgence. And then they lose to Arkansas 24 to 14 at home. Arkansas. Yeah. Wow. I kind of remember like. I looked it up. I was looking up the. Because Brian, you mentioned. I didn't know that stat about since we're talking about home field about 12.

They're all around four and 12. And their last 16 home SEC games. Three and 12. If you don't count the. The last. The first win in 2022, whatever it was. Yeah, I just went back to. Well, I just went to the last four four eight last four seasons and they're four 12. Half of those are ranked opponents. The average margin of loss is a touchdown. Yeah. So they're all super close. The worst loss in that stretch was a. I mean, I'm not sure if you're going to be able to score a. Pretty sure. Harsons last loss. Four to two touchdown loss to Arkansas. It's just while you're looking through there and you're going. Like if you if I told you of all the 12 losses, what's the worst when you bug? I'm sure Georgia or Alabama, maybe Ole Miss, maybe LSU. No, Arkansas. No, you nailed it. I remember you and I sitting up there, Justin. And we're like. So. I mean, what are we right about today? I mean, I'm sure you know, I just like that's not really our job.

I've never been like. Got to go after that game. I literally tweeted. I was like, Brian Harsons should not be on the bus. Next week. Can't. I mean, I'm pretty sure like we decided like, right? One of us needs to be on the field. One of us needs to be on the field and maybe get a video of the firing. Like we need to go down there. Was that the game that he that he was an hour late? Yeah, I think we were waiting in the. I remember sitting in the interview room wondering if they're just going to bring out a press release and hand to us because they've done that before. I think that's the game that there was a. I'm almost given that he was an hour late. I mean, I'm almost positive. That's the game that he left the stadium. He went to that he went to his office. They'd go get him. Like, hey, dude. You don't just get to. You don't just get to not do it. Like or just go up there and take a shower and. And then come back like you. They had to go. They had to go get him. Do you remember who the office reported? Everyone don't go get him.

Just leave him. The biggest idiot of a country covered maybe. Right up there. Speaking of that. Eric Kisal. Eric Kisal. Do you have any guesses the where he is applying his trade now? Go somewhere stupid. Somewhere stupid. Yes. Did he have a little stint in Alabama for a second there? He went to Florida actually. Florida. But he's now it's Sacramento State big dog. Good. Good for him. He's from that area right? Yeah, he is from California. I wonder if the queen is there. She's a sack state queen. Probably is. The coordinators that Auburn have been really interesting too. Not just the head coaches. But Ron Roberts is at Arkansas now. Shmeddy. Shmeddy. That's what sack states sucks. On Robert. He's had a lot of one year stints at different places. I mean, not all of them, but a lot of them. He wasn't there. He wasn't bad actually. I agree with him. He wasn't super bad. He's. I don't know what he is as a recruiter, but he seemed to call it.

I was like he's an old school. Yeah. Yeah. I would do it that. There can's a good mix of like he has some old school sensibilities, but he also knows how to communicate with players where I didn't think Ron did. He does. Any recruits will. And he's. That too. When he puts a stamp on a guy, he usually gets some. A lot of. He's a great example of that. Great evaluator to. Yeah. Bryce D.S. is a great example of that. Xavier. I can probably. He didn't really play at LSU where he came over. You know, John Somerall made a big deal about pointing out Albert's linebackers. Yeah, he mentioned. I mentioned Xavier. He mentioned Elijah. He mentioned Bryce D.S. Yep. Well, he's a linebacker guy though. He's a common linebacker guy. And. I like him. How about this? I think. We'll get back to the game in a second, but also want to get your thoughts on just the dynamic of. This game. Goalish. Somerall. Auburn wanted to summer all.

Goalish was was tossed around at Florida a little bit like he was an option. Obviously they wanted Lane Kiffin. Fans on both sides had. I mean, if you go and X, it's so funny this week. For Florida fans are like. We got our guy and then you're just like searching these people's history and they're like, no, not Somerall. And. And then all, you know, it's in an all-refin. What they wanted. They thought Somerall was the guy. Now they're goals. It's a really. I don't. I don't know that I. It's a really interesting dynamic to have. They both come from the American. Like they're both these up and coming coaches that were considered at both places. Now they're playing each other. It's just a really early in the season. It's just a. I don't know. It's a really unique dynamic that you don't see very often. My thought was. Too much. There's going to be too much put on this game. That I think because of that. It's not just first SEC game big game. It's. I want to be able to say.

See. I we got our our guys better. I'm happy with our guy. I'm glad we ended up with goal is in Florida wants to go see. We got the guy you wanted and we won and all that. So there's all this added fan dynamic. That I think makes this thing even bigger where in the reality is. It's one game. It's not the season. It's certainly not going to be an indictment on either one of their tenures. Like it's not. It's not going to be that. But at the same time. They're both in similar situations where. You know, Florida's trying to see. Could we get to eight. Maybe nine. All words like. We get the seven eight. They both have to have this game. It's the swing game like Auburn schedule now you toss in Mississippi state now. If they're if they're pretty decent. Dude Auburn still got a gauntlet to go. And Florida still got at least five really really tough games left. I mean, Missouri's in there. They're good. But I mean it. The both these teams need this game if they want to. Meet or exceed expectations. They they it's going to be really hard to lose this one.

And then go. I mean, you can happen. But and then rebound like if Auburn lost this game. You're going to go where are you going to go maybe find two wins of LSU George Tennessee Alabama. Um, who Ole Miss like you're going to be really hard. So I don't know. There's a lot riding on it. It is a big game. Um, but I think maybe. And the I think maybe too much will be made of it. And I don't know maybe maybe maybe maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a lot should be made of it or or maybe it's just one game. I don't know how you guys read that. I think there's so many interesting off the field things. The other thing I don't think people have talked about a lot is. I feel like Auburn has taken underdog position here. Uh, the Florida fans are just crazy thinking they're going to win and win big. The line favors Florida. Um, I just feel like that's a good position for Auburn to be in. I think they excel being home dogs historically. Goal is strikes me as a coach that is pretty good.

When he can play the worthy underdog card, which I'm sure he will play. It's a good point. So that's just another reason why I like Auburn on Saturday. Yeah, I was going to say almost the same thing, Brian. Like I like this team better as an underdog as I did last. Really any team since I've covered Auburn. Because they just seem more organized. They seem to know what they're doing and they have that aggressive punching style of offense where it's almost like they have a hard time dialing it back from the deep shots and the tempo and the stuff that they do. So I think that sets them up better to be an underdog was, you know, last year's team and they started condensing everything they brought everything in with the formation standpoint. They slowed it down. Let's get the huddle. Let's keep things slow. Let's try to get the right play out here. Snap the ball under 10 seconds on the play clock. And they just didn't have that that that punch that an underdog should have.

And I think this team has that. So you write that. I think they are. They have slipped into that underdog role in this game, even though they're at home against the quarterback who hasn't played against the power for opponent. That it's an interesting storyline either way. And I agree with you, Justin. I don't think this is the end of the world if Auburn loses the game. But sure is a huge step. If you win the game and puts you way ahead of schedule, I think. Seat CalShi dot com slash regulatory. I would argue put you on schedule, but that's just me, Cole. Because I can't believe Auburn's in the spot that it's in. Well, no, this can't that way. Also, one little thing that I would add. First of all, I think it's awesome that goalish and some are all are kind of getting bracketed like this because I think they're both really, really good. And they could both be running this conference in a few years. I mean, I honestly think they're really, really good. Lane Kiven's going to have something to say about that. But Eric Morris is another one, man. I went to high school and Oklahoma. I got a lot of friends of Oklahoma state people. They are stoked about beating Oregon last weekend. And so he was another guy that was a contemporary of summer all Angola should the American. So he's another talk to them Auburn interview him. He's good. Did they drop their first game to Tulsa? They did. They lost. We wanted to add Tulsa. And tomorrow he all said he went off, right? He did. Tomorrow he had a great game. And then I watched the highlights. I didn't get to watch the Oklahoma state Oregon game, but I watched the extended highlights. And I mean, they earned that win. They were definitely a better team. Well, you get better from week one to week two and then the police.

Well, helps when y'all saw that right helps when Dante more is tipping run past, right? Yeah. You saw that. Apparently he apparently went his feet or even. It's a run. And when he was staggering, it was a pass and it was like damn near 100%. And their linebacker came out after the game was like, yeah, we saw a little something. And then you saw some borders go back and look at it and you're like, sure enough. And I think they even referenced Indiana when Indiana destroyed Oregon on the playoff last year. Apparently in Indiana, defensive guy after that game said something similar like we kind of knew what was filming or whatever. Wow. Oregon's one of those that I want to see bad things happen to. Listen, I love Daniel. No, no, no, I like Dan landing. It's more of the way that they approach their roster building where it's just like, okay, we'll just throw more money at the guy and we'll get him because he's that's what we can. We can do that. I want to see a program like that have politic issues with their players being paid too much.

That's what I want to happen. I want it. I want to be on record for that. What should happen to the issue then, right? I mean, it's all about how you handle it. I guess internally, but yeah, I mean, there's there's of course you're going to have politics. When you start doing all that stuff, I think Auburn had it last year. Right? Interesting. You're going to have it. I mean, just there's very few programs where it's just such a hard thing. I'm not I'm not inside the Georgia program, but I think that they've done a decent job. But you have to have such a culture of, which is why Auburn's just got to get there. But you have to have such a culture of not just winning. You have to have a culture of developing and getting them to the NFL. Because if that's your like Georgia does and has for a while, Georgia was cranking before NL and I got going. Right? Georgia was hitting their stride right before NIL. Alabama similar. If you've got the culture of developing and you've got the culture of getting guys the NFL,

then I'm less worried about what you're paying me now. And I'm a little less worried about if I'm starting because I know that I am at a program that Scouts love. I'm at Georgia. Like I could be the backup at Georgia and and and a scout still going to go dude, I know you're good. You're the backup. Then he mattered to me. I know where you are and I know how you're getting coached. There's just not a lot of programs, you know, Ohio State, I guess is one. Certainly like there's just a few programs where you've got not just a culture of winning, but a culture of developing and putting players into the NFL. When you have that going on, it just I think it dramatically reduces the friction in the locker room with that. Certainly culture matters and like what goal is just trying to do when you're talking about, you know, how you want your team to think and their mindset and being self like all that stuff is good. But that only goes so far. I think you've got to have that develop both. You've got to have that culture of I know if I go here really good chance that if I do what I'm supposed to do,

I'm going to be in the NFL and that's where I can make them. The reason I bring it up, I think goal is has been saying it without saying it where he when he's talking about. If I can get these guys to understand that they have to lock in and not go home and get distracted, we're going to win some football games. I think he's basically saying we're trying to be anti politics here that can't have that. I think they saw it in the in the last Auburn regime. And they're still seeing someone because they still have some of those players probably, but they're going. It's anti politics here when you step in this building, it's business and we have to understand that every single all 105 110 players, whatever you have. That's what I'm hearing from him when he starts saying stuff like that. He was talking about that on Tiger talk a little bit yesterday where he said the culture here is that the guys that practice the hardest play. And the guys that don't practice hard don't play and he said he felt like there were some guys on the roster that were kind of challenging that we're like, is this guy serious? Will he actually not blame me and he said those guys have figured it out?

I don't know who he was talking about, but there's probably some dudes. Yeah, I think you would want to speculate. You can kind of see that. I mean, we talked about it. I heard you and Brian talking about on the rundown Jay Bryson Washington. Good player. Why is he not getting more carried yet? This is an interesting question. You played great the other day. Yeah, see more of him. He looks good every time I see him. I want to get on tape here. Is that goal is to do something last night? I've been sports writing for 30 years now that I hadn't even thought about. A person in the audience asked a question about, hey, coaches making adjustments. And we always talk about the great coaches can make adjustments. Goals just talking about how he's trying to produce players who can actually take the adjustments and do things in the game, meaning. I talked about it like being like NASCAR when you used to listen, I used to listen to scanners all the time in NASCAR. If you listen, Dale Earnhardt Jr is one of my favorite drivers. He would just say, car ain't running good, you know. And then you listen to Jimmy Johnson and he'd be able to say, okay, I've got a front right problem.

I'm going to need that bar crank down two notches. You've got to get players start thinking about what an adjustment means. What does it mean for me? How do I execute exactly what we need to change? And goals just talking about how he needs players that understand how to do that. That is something I have not heard a coach talk about at Auburn. I'm not sure whether coach talk about anywhere. And that's the kind of next level stuff that I think goals is going to hit. And that's why I think he's the right guy at Auburn. I love hearing the coach talk like that. That's the second thing in 10 months. I've heard from Goals and never heard from anybody else. The first thing was a quiet leader is not leadership or being a, you know, I'm saying I've never heard of it before, but it makes so much sense. Which I just, that's just doing what you're supposed to do. Is what they wrote. Well, it goes into what Jay saying right there. Like, as soon as you have the voice that we need you to have, then you start fixing things like that without me having to tell you to do it. And that's how you get better. Like I agree with that for sure. I think that's going to pay off in the long run.

How much buy-in do you have right now is the question I have for a big game like this. You have a lot of your own players, so that helps. And then you brought in a lot of guys. I just wonder about the guys that were left over. How do they buy into it exactly? That's been a big question. At this point. Yeah. Like right now. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just curious what it looks like in a game like this. It's about like Jeremiah or Xavier. Sure. Atkins or. Or what do you mean? Do you think it's, do you think they're not bought out? No, I think they are. I just want to see. How they respond in a game like this to his message, you know, to his. This is the way we want to approach it. This is the way I want to approach it all week. His guys know that they know because they've been with him for big games. I guess the Baylor week counts too, but. It's just, you know, I think when you take on players that you didn't have in your system. There's a little bit of worry that they may not completely buy in and it carries into the season.

I couldn't imagine not buying in when you. What do you want to do? Do it. You want to keep you freeze? I mean, do you want to do that some more? Like what, you know, what would be your counterpoint? Like I don't know coach. I like what we've been doing. So I would, I would think they're all in. You win when you start. Yeah, the bigger. The bigger point is winning, you know, provides proof of concept. So it's the same way for some or all to. I think. I feel like it's a little bit bigger game for Auburn because it's at home. If this were in Gainesville. I'd probably say a little more pressure on them to home. I think it's a little bit more pressure on them. You got to take care of your home games, especially when it's kind of a 50-50 game. So I sort of think there's a little more pressure on Auburn to win the game because you can't drop them at home and then you know, there's the there's the fan aspect of maybe some pressure of of feeling like you you've got your guy and you're fine if some are all went somewhere else. There's that. But I think there's a little bit more pressure on Auburn to.

To win this one just because it's at home. You got to have it. I agree with that. That was probably my biggest frustration in the last three years of the last regime. They looked tighter at home to me than they did anywhere else. It's if their offense was more nervous in Jordan here. And I hated that. I couldn't stand it. I want. I want this to look different where Alex Golisch's offense, Joe Gordon's offense has that attacking nature where they don't look scared at all. They look comfortable. Well, late specifically late because they got off to some good stars. I mean, go back to that Georgia game last year, right? And Auburn, Auburn beat the brakes off them the first half. I mean, you're looking at the first half. That's before that Arnold play. You're going, see, this is total domination. It's late in games where they would fold up and maybe there was something to that. I mean, certainly the more you kept doing it. Like it wasn't a big deal. I mean, certainly the more you kept doing it. Like it when it kind of becomes a thing.

And a trend and then you get late in the game and you go. Okay, we've been here before. Let's not try not to lose this one. There certainly could have been. Some of that carrying over the more you lose those close games. Now, you're right. They did punch them in the mouth. In the first half of that game and others. I think there are others that look like that too. There's just a tightness that I always sensed. And I'm like, man, can we please move past that you have you have help here? This is they're not supposed to be against you. I was trying to look goal is said something yesterday that I thought was interesting. Well, it's really nothing. He made it a point yesterday. He said we haven't won the fourth quarter yet. You know, Baylor got him nine to seven and then neither team last week scored. It's not not it's you know, I mean, he's technically true. Auburn didn't score at all in the fourth quarter against Southern mess, but they're just they're just running the ball. And then. You know, Baylor obviously kicked the field goal and then scored the touchdown went for two,

but they lost the fourth quarter. But it just even to goal is she's looking at two games in. Nine to seven. You're basically even in the second fourth quarter, but then matter. He's looking at it going. Nope. We're minus two on the year and fourth quarter. And that matters. And I'm not happy about it. Well, I think he understands that this game will probably come down the fourth quarter and they've got to win it. So many. Yeah. It could. Could be a fourth. Where do you think the bottom brown angle? I don't even talk to a ton about that. I mean, there's obviously goalish and his staff played Florida last year, but it's such a, you know, it's new team. You can't do that. I didn't even look how many players to cold. Do you know how many players Florida kept from last year's roster? How many of these guys remember specifically defense if you don't respond? But I'm wondering how many of you guys on defense remember Byron, Keishan Singleton. Yeah, mostly there. All the time. Another defense of front like Jane Woods, Brendan Bet, Jeremiah McLeod, Cam. Jane, so I think it's his name. They were all there. Brendan Bet, specifically, if you don't know, is the guy who spit and cold skitters face on the last drive of the game.

Why? Do you all know about this? Yeah. I think we remember it now. Yes. The last drive of the game where USF's down and they got to go score the win or kick, go to win. Cold Skinner puts the guy on the ground and the guy gets up and spits in his face and gets a 15-yarder free first down keeps their drive going because it was almost stalling out at that point. So there's that dynamic. They'll be going against each other. That guy's back. You have Miles Graham. You got Aaron Charles. Like almost their whole defense. Yeah. They got pretty much that whole defense back. So they only had to sign 29 transfers. Auburn had to sign 39. So that's a plus 10, you know, return to players. The recruiting classes are almost the same. I think 21 and 22. So I think I think it's about 10 extra players I had, which is in a bandage. I feel like. And they have DJ Coleman. I think he played for Baylor last year. He's a transfer from Baylor, but I think he was with them last year when they played Auburn. He had a pick in their first game.

Yeah. A ton of interesting dynamics. I mean, even even going back goal in summer all playing against each other in 2024. You know, Tulane, God, I'm an Andarian, Mensa. Tulane's defensive corner there is on staff at Florida now. He's linebackers coach. Like, so there's going to be there's just a lot of familiarity with what they're going to try to do offensively. Bitter and Brown certainly probably going to be moat. He's always motivated, but certainly a little bit of motivation on. I want to beat him again. Like I want to show that beat like beating Florida was on a fluke. And now I'm at a new place on beat him again. There's just there's there's places all over. For guys to be really, really motivated like LSU Ole Miss is getting all the attention this Saturday, rightfully so. And that's going to be a. You know, that's going to be an insanely intense game. I think this is going to be an insanely intense game. Like I think Auburn Florida didn't have some of those store obviously the lane kip in storyline. But man, I think it's going to be. I think it's going to be a really, really physical intense game.

Where do you go, prediction wise? I know we'll have I know we'll have game day prediction Saturday morning. I might change my Brian not much. Okay. But just tick it up. I think. I'm going out to start. I mean, I'm going to go Auburn. But I said earlier in the week with Brett. I think I feel the same way. If you told me any outcome within like 10 points, I would be like, okay, anything Florida by 10 Auburn by 10 anything in there. I would just be like, prop. Yeah, sure. I mean, I don't. None of that would surprise me. Florida by 10, Florida by seven, Florida by three Auburn by any of those scores. I just there's just enough about these teams that I don't quite know because they haven't been tested enough. And so anything in there probably wouldn't shock me. I'd be surprised. Obviously, Florida came in here one by two touchdowns. That was surprise me. And it may just be if that happens that Florida is really good. And they're better than than you think they are. It could be Auburn plays poorly. But that would probably surprise me a little bit.

I mean, Auburn winning by two touchdowns. Again, probably surprises me a little bit. Not not shocked, but it would probably surprise me. But I don't know. I think it's going to be a close game. I'm going to go Auburn by field goal. I think I sent to you, Brian 2017. I might tick that up to 21 20. I don't know. It's going to be something like that. I do think it'll be a more of a defensive game. I mean, points are going to be scored. But I do think the defenses have got a chance to play well. I'm not sure. I'm not sure either teams getting. 27. I don't even know if I think a team is going to get to 27 in this game. I'm not even sure. I think 24 might be the, the cap on this. I went 23 16 Auburn. I just feel like it's going to be a defensive struggle. I feel like Alex McPherson is going to make some big plays. And I think Auburn is going to be good enough to get it done. I just think it's time for Auburn to start winning these games at home, which they, you know, historically done a tremendous job of doing, especially as an underdog. So I just, this is a game Auburn has to win.

1914 for me Auburn. I think it also be a defensive throw. 19 and 26. How are we? How's the Saturday? I'm with this. Exciting. noon. We should get some props here because we were both 45 top 10 last week. It was 43 or 8. September was 42, 9. That's crazy. That's pretty good. I thought I was closer than I went. Dexter is 429. What happened? Auburn had a safety. There's some weird ways to get points, I guess. I think I'm going 24 21 is what I'm going to stick with. I think it's a field goal. And I think it's going to be close. I think it's gonna be close. I really do. It's kind of like the R Kelly song. From my it's telling me no. Pick Florida. But I think we get some grace this week picking Auburn just because we don't know anything about Florida hardly with the competition they played. We know how talented they are. Their defense has star studded to an extent.

So I want to see how Auburn matches up with that. As far as being organized, as far as having the offense to be enough for the win the game, I really feel like Auburn's gonna be fine there. Yeah, it's, I know. I hate to say this. It's like, I don't want to put too much on goal. It's just third game. But it's like if not now, win. You just sat there so many garbage games and close losses at home. You got a team that's 50-50 type of game. You're at home. Go win one. Like go win it. Don't walk away going with fans having to go. You gotta be kidding me. I gotta talk about this game and say we were close again. Like it's just, it's some point that's gotta flip.
