The Patanarendt Show podcast is powered by Farah and Farah. Tampa Accident Attorneys. As their biggest problem through three weeks. We don't have time. I'm serious. I mean, if I say to you... Well, there's one biggest. Like I said, there's a ton of them. What do you think is the biggest? Are offense? In its entirety or specific use? Yep. Yep. Who's playing well outside of Bucky? Well, and I'm not giving Bucky.

I just don't think Bucky's being used. I don't think he's playing well. I just don't think... He's averaging about five yards a car. But he's averaging five yards a carry. But getting the ball eight times a game. And he's sitting on the sidelines at the end of the game. So I mean, what is he... If I say who's playing well and you give me a name, I'll say, well, what have they done? But what is it equated to? By the way, talking about Bucky. And you mentioned not on the field of the end of the game. He wasn't at the... On the field of the end of the game. Todd Bolson says he wasn't on the injury report or he isn't on the injury report. And that is until yesterday when there was an injury report and Bucky Roving is in fact on the injury report. We talked... How weird is that? We talked about this early on the week. Like, that doesn't make any sense. How do you not be on the injury report if you didn't finish the game? And we had a wrap around it. That's what I mean. And listen, once again, I'm a realist. And when people talk highly of Bucky, he's a talented football player. And I always say, enjoy him. Enjoy him while you can. He's a little bitty guy. Like, what little guy like that is a feature running back

that gets featured and sticks around. Every time he touches the ball 15 times, he's on the sideline. So I don't get excited about running backs. There's a couple two, three running backs in a whole NFL that make a difference. I get excited over offensive lines that are great. If you have a great offensive line, we'll figure it out. No, we do not. We do. We don't go. And when you say, what's the problem? When you're watching the film, there's, there's offensive lines stuff. You go, oh, Jesus. Like it just looks off. Okay. There's wide receiver stuff. You're like, what? Like there's guys not finishing routes and Baker and them on the snout. And there's other times where guys are wide open. And Baker's looking right at him. He's not getting the rid of the ball. So what's the problem? Just in the entirety of the offense. And defensively, I know everybody wants to be optimistic and say, oh, we played well last week. That, that offense last week stopped without Jefferson. It's not beating many teams. Yeah. And kind of Murray's not. He's not terrible.

Colum Murray's not an NFL. He's a running quarterback who doesn't run whose five foot eight. Let me, let me ask you this. When it comes to the offensive line play, because there's nobody I'd rather ask about offensive line play. These same five guys were playing almost as well as anybody in the game. At the end of 2024, they were playing a dominant brand of football upfront in 2024. Now, I know it takes time to build continuity, but this looks like more than continuity issues to me through three games. Why do you think the same five guys that were damn near dominant at the end of 2024 have looked so bad to start this season? I think if the same five guys we have today played in 2024, they would still be good. Because everything around them in 2024 was really good. Okay, we were better tied in, we were better receiver, we were better a quarterback, we're better running back, we're better offensive coordinators. Same time. I mean, but I'm just in general. Okay, the philosophy leads to whether an offensive line plays well or not.

Because if you're a Pittsburgh stealer offensive line, you run the ball 40 times a game. You look great. But if you have to pass walk 40 times a game, it doesn't look great. We couldn't run the ball in our house against a blitzing team. It's never going to look good. With a team that blitzes 80% of the time and is sending seven guys, they're running stunts. It's going to look terrible. There was a couple of times when there was mass blitz coming and either Bucky or Ockner, whoever just leaked out real quick and they're standing there in the middle of the field wide open. All Baker to do is just drop the ball off and he held on to it. A couple of times Baker left the pocket. He left perfect pockets. And as an offensive lineman, that's the worst thing in the world. He's back there and there's nobody rushing him and he tuxed it. His problem is he's gun shy and he's looking at the rut or he was, because he's not there anymore. He was looking at the Russian. Once you start looking at the rush, everything's done. And it just, it looks bad. And it doesn't look like it's repairable in a couple of weeks. And now we have a rookie coming in.

PFF has put out their latest offensive line rankings after week three. Can you guess where the Bucky years are? Offensive line play. Offensive line play through week three. I would say they're about 20. Well, you say 29. PFF has some ranked number two. The offensive line. Number two. Number two in football. Are you talking about just grades? It's their just number two. Best offensive line in football as far as grades. It could be that I'm telling you offensive line play can be deceiving. Okay. Because I just told you there's a couple plays where there's a perfect pocket. Baker tucked in ran and got sacked. I've been as critical as anybody of Baker, right? And his holding on to the football too long drives me crazy. But that offensive line has not played well. I cannot. But once again, I'm just telling you the way that Baker is holding on to the ball so God star much. I know. You just don't see great quarterbacks holding on to the ball. He's uncomfortable.

I'm watching Baker just in his, just back in the day. Just back. He doesn't look right. And I don't know what I'm not a quarterback guru by any means. His foot works not right. He's out of his uncomfortable. He's looking at the rush. I'm not sure it wasn't physical before you got hurt. I'm not sure. Let me ask you. Let me read to you why they have the box offensive line at number two at pff. It says here the box had a good game in past protection against the Minnesota Vikings with both starting tackles and left guard Ben Bredison allowing one or fewer pressures from 50 past blocking snaps. However, Tampa Bay did struggle in the running game with none of the group earning a pff grade above 55 in that department. So they're essentially saying run game bad past protection. Good. We don't run the ball much. And here's the thing. It could be perfect past protection by the offensive line and give up a sack. It could be perfect because a lot of times if you blitz seven. And there's six guys blocking.

It found the quarterback or the wide receiver and it could still be a sack. So everyone of his sacks and week one was on Baker in my opinion. And I'm not quite sure last week. I'm telling you half of them were on Baker again. Now what was was the under the rest all game 100% but that's just what Minnesota does. And when you have an offense like Minnesota has we couldn't do enough offensively to beat that offense and that's that I think that's sad. Yeah. One of the worst and most inept offensive games I've seen on both sides of the ball. So Zach Robinson, Brut, Todd Boles, who was it on? It's on everybody, bro. It's on the players. Okay. Because I just don't know if we have the right players because we're saying nobody's playing well. Somebody can play well. One one theme defensive lineman can play well. Okay. On a bad football team. Miles Garrett did it forever. It's on the players. It's on Todd Boles. It's on Jason Light. It's on the coordinators. And right now it just it doesn't look right. We've been here in a championship year. Okay. So we shouldn't be fooled.

We know what it looks like. We know what a championship team looks like. And ain't that. It's not bad. In our championship year, our third best receiver is better than our best receiver right now. That's a fact. If if this season ends the way that I think most of us expected to end at this season, how far are you going with the smistles? Is it just about Todd Boles? Is it Jason Light also like? I can't answer that. I think one of the glazers. I don't know the relationship. But I'm saying if you are the glazer, who is your football team? Who would you dismiss you in? Well, if it ends the way it is, I mean, Todd Boles is done. Okay. I think he's dead man walking already. Uh, I think he went into the season somewhat dead man walking. Uh, it's the movie Green Mile is what we're watching. Okay. And Jason Light. It's more like a brown mile this year. It's hard to not give Jason Light a good grade because there's championships in there. Um, it just depends on how much stock he put into him getting Tom Brady.

Because people say he got Tom Brady. Tom Brady chose us. But but Tom Brady chose us because he saw a team. He thought could win. But I've never do a Jason Light though. I mean, he put that he put that team together. Understandable. When when you give a GM credit, it's a credit for drafting somebody, not Tom Brady. That was all Tom Brady. Every last bit of it was Tom had nothing to do with Jason Light. But it feels roster was bad. Okay, but we're talking about Jason Light. I'm talking about evaluating Jason Light. I'm not giving him credit for bringing Tom Brady here. I'll give him credit for drafting Ali Marpat. I'll give him credit for drafting some of those guys. But if you don't have those guys, Tom might not come here. You're not wrong about that. Okay. But just like how Rich McKay built a team that was great for years, I'm not sure Jason Light knows how to do that. Cause I'm not sure he knows how to do it. I can't disagree with you there because we haven't seen it yet, right? But I will give him a little bit of credit for Tom Brady because they did have a relationship. They were together in New England. Like it's not like they didn't know each other. Also, part of the reason I believe Tom Brady came here and another guy that he brought

here is Bruce Ariin. So if I'm if I'm the glazer, for instance, right, I look at a GM who has already brought me ahead coach with that kind of credibility who was able to win us a championship. So do I want to hire another GM who's probably going to be a younger guy and a less proven guy, but has come from someplace that's been successful and hope that he can hire me ahead coach that's as good as Bruce Ariin's was or another guy with that level of credibility or stick with the GM who's already done it from you once. Well, once again, for me to answer that's tough because I'm not there behind closed doors and the glazers are business people. And Jason Light is a business person. And if they feel comfortable with him as a business person, they trust him. It's about football players a lot of the times, okay? It's about this elections and all those things. But when you sprinkle in championships, we know that Jason has done some good stuff. We also know it doesn't look pretty right now. So do you think he has enough knowledge to flip this? We'll see. That's just it's there. It's how much they have love for Jason Light because if they if they did fire him, I don't

think Buck and Air Fags would go crazy. And it doesn't mean we get better though. This means you're going to bring some young snottie nose kid in here that maybe doesn't know what the hell they're doing. Yeah, I want to play you comments from one Gerald McCoy on a podcast. I want Gerald and Ian in the studio one day. Do you? I do. I do too. I'm not doing anything. That's the book. Whatever is happening. There's no cohesiveness and I don't want to blame leadership. But losing Mike M is in Levantain David is a big deal. And I don't want to say that it's a lack of leadership because sometimes I was accused of not being a great leader when we were losing and I know what I was doing. I was standing with guys late. I was getting going out with guys early. We was having extra meetings. I was bringing food in so we can meet as a defense. I was doing all these things and then we go someday and we still losing.

So I don't want to say it's a lack of leadership. But Tom Brady to me is the greatest free agent signing of all time not because he's Tom Brady, but because when he came in, he took a franchise that knew that was known for losing and only knew how to lose and tossed them out of where we've gotten away from that. I don't know if it's schematically or what, but we got to find a way to generate a past. Here's something I know for sure. There are certain things that are being coached that I wouldn't coach. Everybody coach is different. You know, I heard some things that was being talked to these guys. I'm like, that's not going to work. You know, but whatever I'm not in the building. I don't think it's a secret why they can't generate a past risk. To me, it's not a surprise they can't generate a past risk, but the most surprising thing is how off-baker in his office looks. Zach Road. There you go. I mean, he's kind of taking the shots, not kind of, he's taking the shot of the coaching staff. If it's not a secret why they can't get a past rush, why can't you say it out loud, Gerald?

That's my question. Well, I like that you heard that. It's not a secret because you don't have the past rushers, okay? He got way too deep for me. I agree with a lot of things he said, okay? I think they are the most disappointing team, okay? There's no cohesion, obviously. Tom Brady wasn't an amazing, a free agent signing. The past rush part, I would ask Gerald, what do you know about a past, and I'm this being serious. What do you know about generating a past rush because he wasn't really involved in a lot of great past rushing teams? He really wasn't, okay? Because he was leading the team with like seven sacks and that's not a great past rushing team. As a team, see that's way too much around here. No, but no, but seriously, and then here's the part where I'm going to go at Gerald, okay? Lavante, David and Mike Evans, I'm going to ask you guys where they leaders, what they leaders. Yes. Different way, different type of things. So, yeah. No, don't say this, say yes, okay? Yes, they're just, they're just, they're leaders because all their teammates say they were leaders, right? Did you ever hear Mike Evans or Lavante, David say, I'm the leader.

No. Okay. How many times did you hear Gerald say I'm a leader? Every day. He just said it. He says I wasn't a good leader. Now man, leaders, leading is not saying you're leader. And if you guys suck, you're not a good leader. So, and this is coming from, I think he said I was buying people meals and I was doing this. That's not leadership. Leadership is when you put the film on on Monday and you ball out and you snap and next and that's it. I call anybody who brings me food a leader. I get it, but true leadership. Listen, leaders, that's what drives me nuts about Jeremiah coin. Leaders don't say they're leaders. They never do. You never heard Michael Jordan. I never heard anybody say I'm a leader. You just got to follow them and nobody was following, nobody was following Gerald. I'm just telling you because I know I was, I know people in that locker room. Nobody was following him. Nobody. Do you, when he says he hears what's going on and he's not, they're not being coached properly. What do you think that's about?

Well, I do believe there's an issue in the locker room. Clearly nobody's buying in because it doesn't look like anybody's buying in. When players are talking to other players in the media about what's happening, it's time for it to be blown up. There's no doubt. There's no doubt in my mind. If the defensive players are talking to Gerald McCoy and they don't like what's being taught, it's time to blow it up. It's either the teaching isn't right or the players aren't right. But once again, who's established enough on that line to be talking anything? Seriously, you, all systems work. You don't get to the NFL and have a system without it working. It has to have worked in the past. Well, and defensively we've seen it work right here. So I'm saying help put a super bowl. That's, are you put JPP and a couple other dudes on that defense? It changes it immediately. You know what JPP did when he came into locker room? Did you ever hear? He said Gerald, shut your mouth. Nobody's listening to you no more. That's a fact. Shut your mouth. Really? I don't know.

No, that's a fact. Cause JPP is real. And he knows what it looks like. Stop telling everybody your leader and let's just go out there and punch somebody in the face. That's what JPP. I think you said shut your mouth. No, sir, it's a real thing. Well, I love JPP because he's just a real dude. He's a real dude. It's so funny because he came into this thing when he joined the Bucks and he was not a vocal. He's not. He's not. He became one. No, he's not though. He says a couple. He became one and he here. He saw him do it. Well, you're saying he became vocal, but he might not talk at all. He just said a couple things to the press that you like. Unless you're talking to a guy who I was a captain of Indiana, the Hoosiers in 89 and I never said a word. Did I lead? But you did. I think so. I tell you JPP. That doesn't necessarily stand up in front of anybody, but he's a leader because of the way he carries himself and the way he plays on Sunday. But clearly was willing to lead. Vocally, we all heard the audio from the locker room when we were telling Vernon Hargraves. Yeah, we just lost the game and you're talking about banging white women.

Okay, but that's not really leading. That's just being real. I'm just telling you, it's being real. That's why I'm saying leadership is not saying I'm a leader. It's just being respected. Well, that I'm being respected. It's about being respected. And I just, I know too much. I was in a press box once and I said something about Jerro McCoy and somebody that played with him, played with him. That was a defensive back. Which means he goes, he's a P word. Now, would you ever imagine somebody that played with Warren Sapper, anybody calling the P word? Would you imagine that? I wouldn't call him that. Well, I'm just so bad idea today. So it's hard for me to think that somebody led a locker room on a DB's calling the P word. They don't go together. No. Because if you call JPP the P word, he won't take that raggedy hand. No, don't raggedy hand, dude. I just shook his hand the other day. It's very raggedy. It is. It is.

I live in down here. No, no, he was there for a signing. I was at that signing down. Oh, right. He was there. My hand did his sign right. He signed with his right and he also shook my hand with his right and it's not good. It's it's it's it's a phrase. It's a phrase. It hits your heart in the middle of your head. It's really. Yeah. Nubby. Oh, very Nubby. Would you rather shake Jason Peer Paul's hand or a sweaty Aaron Jacobson palm? Oh, it was not sweaty. I don't do sweaty. I don't know. I wish I didn't know. No. Remember the guy with the hand and scary movie? Yes. I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it. I know I want to shake it. I still want to talk about movies and food more than the fucking years right now. That's how sad it's gotten. Food is good. I wish nobody I could act like that. Nobody calls people call me a pee all the time. Yeah. And I don't get this like, oh, if somebody called Jason Peer Paul at pee. Well, why do you think they're calling you pee? It's not a pee. It's because they can. I bet there's nothing I can do about it because I'll get charged with a soul. Oh, you know, that's not why.

That's not why. Well, that's not why. Because everybody in the world will be framed by a song, but that's not why. That's why. So okay. But that's in my world too, but nobody's calling me a pee though. So explain. Oh, Ian, he started the year saying he was going to fight every listener that talk crap about him on the text line. Nobody's he's yet to nobody's what? Nobody's presenting. Nobody's on me. You call me a pee. Yeah. Do it. I dare you. I would love to punch somebody in the face. Do what you though? I'm getting to that point. Yeah. I'm going to tell Pat to ask Pat, I'm turning to Corey. I wouldn't. Why? You wouldn't punch somebody in the face? No, I said I wouldn't love to. Like I have no, like for me, violence is never, like I like competition. I think makes martial arts is fantastic wrestling. Like, but actual like violence for the sake of violence is something I've never understood in my life. I think shoulder checked. I mean, violence for the sake of violence. What does that mean? Like, I believe in like protecting yourself, right? I one time it was a bad move, but I one time soccer puncher dude because he was getting

after my boy. It was very small. Soccer punching is bad at all. It is. No, it was definitely bad. I was drunk. He was getting after my boy, Mondale, who's very small. Okay. And I came across the room and was a jerk. I know doubt about it. But like outside of protecting yourself, I don't believe in violence. Like I don't, I'm not going to fight somebody. I drive like a schmuck sometimes because I, I have, I'm impatient and I'm aggressive. And every now and then somebody we had a red light. And like, do you want to fight? And I'm like, no, I'm not a child. You just want to drive by. You live in Florida. You don't have to leave your car. You shouldn't even be talking to people at light. I'm getting on my car. You get, you get shot through the, in the face. I even look at people, bro. They'll shoot you in the face through the window. I'm going to fight. I got to fight. I stopped in channel side, you know, I was driving behind a guy and there is a semi truck on the other side of the road. This guy stops in the middle of the road right next to the semi truck. So I pull up right, I start honking at him, he said, go around, go around. I go, I can't go around. I go, you're a moron. And he said, you're a moron.

I said, no, you're a moron. And I got to tell you, it felt great. That was as far as it went. You're not ready to punch somebody. If I had to, if that felt great. I would, I was ready. I told Sam about this yesterday, like I was ready to go. I'm the different man now. If I got to fight, I got to fight. And I will fight. Anybody believe me? No, boy. Nobody. Nobody believes you. Nobody's ever going to believe you when it comes to fights. People will believe this. Apparently, people got kind of drunk in Tennessee. Yeah, believe it or not. Sam Cohen will fill us in on the drunkenness coming up during today's top headlines next. Are you tired of the confusing bait and switch pricing on GLP ones?
