Teen Girls Arrested for Belgrave Robberies

0:00Fourteen-age girls, aged 13, 14, and 217-year-olds, got arrested in Lester's Belgrave area for a string of robberies. Lester Shire police linked two attacks on April 6 to two more the next day. The girls face robbery charges and are out on bail while the investigation rolls on. One incident hit close to home near the Lester Outdoor Pursuit Center, where a teen girl got threatened, punched in the face with cuts, and lost. Her escooter, though, cops recover her phone later. The very next day, an elderly woman in her 80s had her purse snatched. Then around 715 pm on Melton Road, another teen girl took a hit to the face, got shoved down, and had her back stolen. These hits left victims banged up and shook up, sparking real worry in the Titan in neighborhood. Detectives are treating all fours connected, and they've ramped up patrols to keep things calm. Local officers are out there chatting with folks who might have seen something. If you were around those spots or got dash cam footage from driving by, hit up the police.
