Hi everybody, this is Silvio Cantu and Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, September 29th, and welcome to our commentary. I just a quick prediction here about the baseball season. Now the first prediction I'm going to make is very easy because the brains have already defeated the villains and I do believe the braves are going to win that series. They're already up one to nothing and it's two out of three so the braves are 50% of the way there. The second one is the White Sox in Houston. I'm going to go with the White Sox, not because I'm angry in Houston because they beat the Rangers. I just think the White Sox right now are playing very well. So I'm going to go with the White Sox in that series and they will be Houston. The third one is, this is the prime time series. This is the one that will be on prime time every single day and that's the Yankees and

the Red Sox. Now whenever the Yankees and the Red Sox play in the postseason, it's a great rivalry. Perhaps the greatest rivalry in Major League Baseball. So this ought to be great. I'm going to pick the Yankees or the Red Sox. And at last but not least, the Cubs are playing in San Diego. I'm going to pick San Diego on that one. So I'm going to go with one team out of Chicago, the White Sox and the other one unfortunately for our Chicago friends, the Cubs are going to lose. I just think San Diego is a better team. So in my opinion, the four finalists are going to be Atlanta, Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, and San Diego Padres. And then they'll move on to the next round and we'll get to that one when we get to that one. So those are my baseball selections for the postseason. And of course, I regret tremendously that the Rangers are not playing this afternoon.

They would have been hosting the White Sox this afternoon, that they won the American League West. And you know, that's still a better one. I have to tell you, that's still a hard one to take because I really thought they were going to pull this out and win the American League West. I guess as they used to say, wait till next year. Well, I've got a post that came out this morning over at the American thinker. You can read it, American thinker.com. And that's where I post pretty much on a daily basis over there at the good people over at American thinker. It's a great one. That by the way, lots and lots of good articles that are posted there every single day. But I have a post about James Telerico who has now really, I think, gone into freaky territory when he brings Jesus into, you know, into healthcare policy. And he makes a statement that, you know, Jesus wouldn't charge you a deductible that, you

know, they wouldn't, they wouldn't make a profit out of healthcare. And these are absolutely silly statements. I mean, just absolutely silly statements by frankly somebody who's not a very, let's just say not a very qualified candidate. But this is again, this is all part of his approach. You want to use religion, whatever is convenient for him to use it. I do find that amusing that the same Democrats who go ballistic every time that a Republican brings up the Bible or whatever, they go ballistic, they're saying, oh my gosh, separation of church and state. But look at Telerico, he's quoting Jesus every five minutes to defend whatever he believes. But it makes me angry too when I hear Telerico say that because he tends to forget all the things that are being done in this country to help the poor or to help the less fortunate. First of all, we have billions and billions of dollars that we spend every year, public

dollars that is, that we spend every year to take care of people who cannot afford healthcare. We provide in many cases benefits to these people. We give them money. We provide healthcare. We provide all kinds of benefits for people in this country who for whatever reason cannot do it on their own, who are either people who are disabled or whatever, or people who can have fine work, whatever the reason. We are an extremely generous country in all of the public assistance that we provide people. And then on top of that, on top of that, you have a private sector, the churches for example, and many charities that help people tremendously. On top of the public services, our church has a pantry where people can go and get food for free. They just come, they sign up. And they go once a week and they get food.

And lots of food. Lots of choices that they have in that room. Lots of things. And for a family in need, being able to go there and get food for the family, you know, could save you a couple hundred dollars a week to go there. Now that's provided by our church. That's not the government. That's a private. And that's funded by the parishioners of the church, who are the ones who contribute to food and the money behind it. Our church also through St Vincent de Paul helps many people pay the rent, pay the electricity. So we're doing a lot in this country to help people. So to hear from somebody like Tallerico, somehow bring up this garbage that we're not doing enough and that Jesus, you know, would not be charging a deductible or that he wouldn't be making a profit. It's just utter nonsense. And if you fall for that, you know, you need to, I don't know, I'm not going to say anything

bad about you, but if you fall for that, then shame on you because that is just pure. I don't even know what to call it that he's promoting when he makes statements like that. Tallerico, look, I'm convinced that the man is a fraud. And I'm amazed that he has done as well as he's doing in his post. I'm just amazed that this man is doing as well as he's doing, but I guess he is. I guess he is. That's all I can say. Well, I have a post coming out Wednesday morning about the caravan. There's a new caravan coming to the United States. It started somewhere in Central America. It is now in Mexico. And I guess they want to come to the United States as we saw years ago. Well, the Trump administration has already made it very clear that they're not coming in, that they're not going to be led into the country. And a Mexican friend was selling me. I hope that people in Mexico understand that these people coming in are now going to become

their new neighbors because they're going to have to stay in Mexico. Now, Mexico had an opportunity to send them back. They could have said something at the border. They could have stopped them at the border and said, hey, you're going back. But they didn't. They came in. And now they're walking to Mexico. And in the post that I am publishing tomorrow, I asked the question, who's behind these caravans? These are people from different countries. They're not just people from one country or one town who decided to come to the United States. Now, this is a multinational caravan. There are people from like six or seven countries who somehow happen to get together and start a caravan to the United States. That sounds to me like there's somebody behind me. I also asked the question, who's funding these people, who's feeding these people? Now it is fair to say that in the past, some people in Mexico have fed them and give them just public people and private people, not anything more than that.

They just help them. And that's, I understand that. But these people are not coming into the United States. They're not going to be letting them allow them. And yet, they're out there walking up from Mexico. And I think Mexico should shut it down and say, no, we're not going to do that anymore. We're not going to participate in that anymore. You know, you talk to Mexicans that I have. They don't like this any more than we do. Because very often these people come into their towns. They don't really know who they are. And they come into their towns. And I assume most of them are nice people, who just want to come to the United States. I understand that. But some of them are not. So I just think that Mexico made a big mistake here, allowing these people to come, allowing these people to enter Mexico and come to the United States. So something has to be done in Mexico. The Trump administration, the Department of DHS has already made it clear that they're not coming into the United States. They're not going to be allowed in.

So we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens as they get closer to the border. But Mexico made a mistake by allowing them to come into their country. Well, here's a little trivia. I'm going to leave you with another one of my trivia questions. 1960 on this day. You know, that's 60. Oh my gosh. I was born in 1966, here's a girl today. Can you believe that? 66 years ago today. There was a brand new television show on CBS. It was called My Three Sons. And it became a very successful TV show. It went on from 1960. I was reading that it went on to 1972. And we saw these three sons grow up really on the show, including Robbie, who was the oldest one. He got married. And he and his wife used to live in the house with the rest of the family. I remember that. And then there was only the uncle, the uncle who was probably my favorite character in the

whole show. My three sons, one of my old time favorite TV shows, made its debut on this day in 1960. And I was, I don't remember that particular day. I had to confess because I didn't pick up that show until we came to the United States in the mid-60s. But once I got here and I saw the show, I really liked it. And I became a huge fan of my three sons. So 66 years of my three sons, whatever. What a great show that was. Fred McMurray, I think, was the leading star of that show. And they had three kids. There were three boys. I remember that. Robbie and the other two, I don't remember their name right now, but they were pretty funny and they did some of that. I think a lot of us related to these three boys because we were roughly the same age. So we related to some of the things they were doing and growing up and we kind of related

to these boys because roughly the same age, we're doing the same things and so on. So that's why I think many of us, my generation related to these three boys, my three sons, and what a funny thing for me personally. Because later on, I have three sons. So who would believe that when I was watching that show many years ago that many years later, I would be the father of three sons. What a... That one, if you had told me that one back in the 1960s, I probably would have said, well, I don't believe it, but it turned out to be true. I have three sons and one of my favorite shows is my three sons. So happy number 66 to my three sons. Thank you for watching. This is Sylvia Cantor and Dallas and we'll talk to you the next time. Bye-bye everybody.
