Story of Sting vs. Randy Savage | Spring Stampede 1998

0:00A Cagtine main event. Go ahead. We know I watch Hollywood Hogan's mouth flapping, but I don't listen to what comes out of it. But I do remember a man thousands of years ago named Julius Caesar, who thought when he had it made, he was staring at a whole bunch of daggers. So in Stingen, Lex Luger walk out tonight, let me implant this thought in the mind of Savage and Hogan. Beware the odds of March. Now about that, but Sting is still the World Heavyweight Champion, regardless of what they say, Mike tonight. Sting last night walked away from Mobile, walked away from Uncensored in a bitter, bitter battle against Scott Hall to keep the World Heavyweight title built. Another important factor, Sting, retaining the World Heavyweight title. It remains with World Championship Wrestling, Tony. It remained with World Championship Wrestling. And as we said, Diamond Dallas Page is still the United States Heavyweight Champion. And we're going to see the other two men in that triple-gebering match in just a few moments, Raven and Chris Van Waugh. Uh-oh, who's that music before?

1:00What is this all about? More propaganda. Did you hear that? Like Randy Savage. Down in a lot like the Macho Man Randy Savage. Well, I would love to know what the Macho Man Randy Savage thinks about. Paul Hogan saying that Savage is going to have to prove himself later tonight on Nitro. I think he proved himself to the NWO last night, don't you? Sting came down from the ceiling. Look coming out with a Macho Man would you? Nope, you're right. They're united. They're back together again. Here's the NWO family. This is Bischos, basically, he's an airplane now. Eric Bischos comes out with Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. The Lane. Very, very interesting to see what happens here. I tell you, I really think and I really don't want to. I really don't want to downplay Sting the World Champion and Lex Luger

2:02because they're phenomenal athletes in the game. But I tell you, the NWO looks more dangerous than ever before, guys. Especially with that united front now as we see Savage, Miss Elizabeth, and Eric Bischos head to the ring. You can see that they are once again on the same page, Larry. Like they had dangerous comes into effect and when you realize it's completely unputt, pick the bone. This man right here, Hollywood, Hulk, Hogan doesn't know what he's thinking. Sting doesn't know what he's thinking. And I'm certain that Miss Elizabeth doesn't know what he's thinking. The MWO, the Macho World Order, how about that? The sign will fang out. As you look, standing all around the center point of club leveling. And this show, I feel gracious for the shaking time in this program. If I throw a baseball in the ocean, is there sharks out there? I'm not sure. Well, let's find out. Don't even in any way, sharks out.

3:02I feel nothing but love here tonight. I love the throw, man. Oh. And what an appropriate night. You know, there is nothing but iron in the words of Hollywood Hogan. Nothing but truth. And Randy, I know I'm not the first tonight, but I certainly don't want to be the last. It's been a tough couple of months for all of us. And Liz, I apologize for everything that you've had to go through. But what's important is that the madness is back in NWO. What's important is just like Hollywood said, you heard it earlier tonight. You all heard it. Yes, Hollywood had to beat you within an inch of your life for you to see the light.

4:04But what's important as you saw the light? Ready? Welcome back. Hold on a soul. Hold on. What do you mean welcome back? I never left Eric Bishop. Here's the deal. What I did it uncensored. I didn't do it for you. And I certainly didn't do it for Hollywood Hogan. I did it for myself. I did it for life for the entire NWO, yet to get you to understand that. Let me make it a real, real, real, real, real plane for you. And I want you to tell Hollywood this too. Stop it, brother. I'm going to predict the future for you.

5:05I am going to beat Stank for the world every way it's your belt. I am going to control the NWO. And the NWO is going to control the world. And then Hollywood Hogan is going to know what it feels like to be at the bottom of the pecking order. You take it. Oh, yeah. I know what we have is very apparent now, fans. A power struggle to run the NWO. I think the reality just hit Bishop in the face. His big mouth. First time I haven't seen it. And Savage is obviously focused on Stank and the world's heavyweight title. He's focused on Savage. We still have a power struggle in the new world order from when I just heard. And look at Bishop. He signed the menace in Hollywood to be a team night. They're going to still have to be a team night in the midst of all that.

6:07What has Bishop done? He has thrown himself in the ocean. Right. He may have to do that. And when he gets back to Hollywood Hogan's trailer, I wonder what Hogan's going to say to him. Oh, my. It's a new added twist, an intriguing twist to already an exciting made of it tonight. Hogan and Savage and it will still be together against Luger and Sting. My tonight on night. My goodness. What about... How do they know this? I mean, tonight, just for you two. Just for you two, I present to you by himself. Uh-oh. There's no rafters that need to be any. Would you look from the hell? If it's not Sting, we're at war.

7:08The glowing white face, unmistakable. What a moment. Hang on to your head, since. Hang on a more than that. I win, starting a blow in it. They shot. It's absolutely stunned. I've never seen anything like this in my life. Oh, my goodness. Come on, the world champion. And the wind is really blowing. You didn't get the job done, Macho Man. You did. Macho and Hogan, Bishop just got blown out of the rain.

8:15Sting, ladies and gentlemen, the most dramatic and hard-stopping appearance ever. Look. That newest member of the NWO prevented the Macho Man from leaving the arena. The Macho Man had decked Hogan and it walked out. Make no mistake about it. The world champion has arrived. Incredible. One moment. And he's looking up to a now, is he? He's a little payback from what happened last night. The spectacular interest I've ever seen in my life. Sting firmly focused on Hogan or on the other jeters and Hogan on the outside, not in a hurry at all to get there to help out his partner. Big splash off the top, connects by Sting. Hogan screaming, get up, Macho Man. I tell you, it's a Mendez team work.

9:16Yeah, right. I think if Macho Man goes for a tag, there's going to be none there. He may have to go at it alone here against Luger and Sting. The way Sting feels, I know Luger's his close friend. He may now want to tag in Luger. Look, he's making this very, very, very personal, guys. He has to. There was a trust between Sting and Savage that was certainly broken last night at Uncensored. Think of how many times that Sting helped Savage. Think about what happened on Thunder on Thursday, last Thursday, when the NWO came out to attack Savage, Sting hooked him up, and they both left the arena through the rafters, through the top. And the payback he gets all to try to solidify who's in charge of the NWO. And it certainly looked last night like Sting was there again to assist and to aid Savage before the attack from the Macho Man. He did. He was there to help him because that unnamed man,

10:16the mysterious man of the NWO had come into the cage. It was two on one. Sting merely from the top had even up the odds. You can see it all on the uncore presentation tomorrow night. But right now Luger has Savage hooked. Down he goes, and I mean hard. He's got a tag, Hollywood. Savage has got to get that corner and make the tag. I don't think there's going to be anybody there when he does. I don't think so either, but then again you know Savage. You may not want him tag. That's right. He'll take him both on. Luger to the attack again, draping Savage over the rope. And driving cranky down on the back of Randy Savage. Far as Luger's concern as far as Sting's concern, it doesn't matter. Let Savage take the entire match. So much the better. Looks like he's trying to hit his hand. Hogan's not coming down to help him at all.

11:16Oh man, do something. As a matter of fact, Hogan is really intimidating Savage. So his command do something. Savage pulling up in the corner, wrong-cutter, wrong-world champion here. Karate chaps on the back, right across the shoulder. Now this has been all Sting and all Luger. Savage trying to put the brakes on that one. Good night. Look at that one. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Hogan certainly doesn't want to get in there. You don't see him extending his hand across the ring, do you? Notice how Luger, the big gorilla press slam, putt now. Savage down, looked at Hogan almost a smile at Luger's face. And brings in Sting and Sting immediately goes to the hip, to the legs, to the midsection. He's looking, look.

12:16Spits right in Hollywood, Hogan. Now, Bishoff even up on the ring apron. Please, Eric, please get involved. We'd all love to see that. Savage being wasted by two men here, guys. Payback that you knew, and Hogan went to the opposite corner, the neutral corner. He walked away. Payback that you knew what happened, and it all went down in the confines of the Steel Cage last night. You know, this thing will never be over between Savage and Hogan until one of them is out. That's true. And what would happen if Savage eventually became World Champion? I don't know, Luger said 4-Ov time. Here he comes. Nailed him, caught him right between the eyes. Complete domination. Where's Hollywood? He's turned his back on him. Yeah, forget about it. He's enjoying it. He has absolutely enjoyed it.

13:18Oh, how about... Is that a tag? That was a tag. You're in Hollywood. Savage came up with a second win. I don't think so. He's not gonna come down with this guy. Was there a tag made? I thought there was a tag made. Hogan's walking out. Did Mickey J... Did he make the tag valid? Did he validate the tag? I think Savage just validated the tag. Yeah, he's real Hogan in. Savage put it in at this man who's been like, oh! Following Hogan, Savage after Bishoff, and the man goes after Savage on the outside and wrecks the eyes. Meanwhile, Hollywood Hogan got the outfit going on the inside. Hollywood Hogan has said his team right now in the driver's seat. How about this? Hogan just throttling Luger with that chokehold before the referee tells him that he's got to break the hold. Thanks, Ab. Devlin and Lake turned around in favor of the NWLT when Hollywood Hogan goes in. Savage and Bishoff have had some words on the outside as well.

14:21One of the most bizarre tag games that we've ever seen. Kaki met out there. We've ever seen. And Bizarre Tag Team. How can you plan a move ahead? How can you plan getting a man to fight? You have any strategy with your partners? Sure, Luger and Stink can. Like Dr... There's no camaraderie at the NWL. Luger up to a speed and Luger... Luger trying to make a talk and he does. Stink is in. World's heavyweight champion Stink, I don't mind. I absolutely mind the Connors Stinger's play. One elevation. And there's the former heavyweight champion. Again. Oh. It's like you jam out the helicopter. Thank you very much. That would be too good to be true. This Shove gets decked. We've a ring around the pool. Savage rolled in by this man. And now, all four men are in there. Savage.

15:21And Stink paired off. Wolfers rack and he's hoping. Wolfers racked Hollywood. Hollywood's in the rack. There he comes. And he causes the dislocation. Obviously, in to protect Hogan. He's since Hogan Adam or Harry. Shielding Hollywood Hogan. Midwild Savage. And the Mercy of two men. Brian Adams has arrived. Here comes Kurt Hedding. Vincent. Scott Stoner. Scott Norden. But Sting is fighting them off. As well as Luger. Sting and Luger. They're just mainly the NW on their own. Meanwhile, Hogan is fighting Savage. It's breaking down. We're out of time. See you like Thursday. I'll put it there. Good night from Penimal City. I like what Piper had to say.

16:23I think the world like what Piper had to say. I mean, not only did he change WCW into a no batting area, he called out Randy Savage. And we know Savage. What he is doing to the new world order. In fact, it doesn't take a genius to realize that the NWO is only as stable as Randy Savage. What we have before you here to light, ladies and gentlemen, is a world class pay-per-view event on TNT. Ronnie Piper came out and said the giant will face Kevin Nash to prove who is the real giant in our sport. He also said that he, Ronnie Piper, would face the much young man Randy Savage. Now, my today, you had all that together what we heard an hour before we got on the air. And we're very excited to announce this, International, that tonight. Sting tonight. We'll defend the world heavyweight title on this program

17:24against the number one contender. Of course, that is the US heavyweight champion, Diamond Gala Spade. Tony there have been some huge matches in Nitro history. But never before have we seen an entire event that looks like it's going to shape up like this evening. We'll talk about pay-per-view caliber, talk about Ronnie Piper being a man of action, when Piper arrives at Nitro, things happen. And Piper will go in the ring tonight, likely shed against the much young man Randy Savage and sting the Fenthal World title against Diamond Gala Spade. Now, all the best to Diamond Gala's and Sting, both in the camp of WCW, but when Piper comes on the scene, there is more than just action. There is the new world order shaking in their boots. All champions are here tonight, Fadj. Oh, that will take the breath out of an outspirit too, guys. I tell you what, hooks again. Up to the neck. Great show of strength that time by Sting, coming up with the back body drop. Diamond Gala's halls off, connect Sting and flirts it.

18:26And now they're going literally to the toe. Neither man, giving it an edge. Two of the greatest champions in pro wrestling, to the toe in the center of the ring on Nitro. Sting, three in a row, filing decked page. Who look at page? Try to pull himself back up. Look how quickly he's back up to his feet. Back up, they go. Into the rope. Sting sent him in. Into the gut. Here he comes. Diamond Pade's in. One of his trademark maneuvers. And again, I'm going to the rope. The Diamond team's getting up, but he gets it right in the middle of the ring. Go to the rope. Page first to Taylor, three of those, four of those. A lot of times you'll lose. Here we're about to the ring. He's realizing where you are. He didn't. You've got to maintain position. He used the ropes. He's this. He's in no man's land now. Up on top. Do it in three. One. Step ahead. With the knees.

19:27And it was a desperation move. And that day, guys, it worked. And we normally don't see Sting with a high risk move. Like that. But Page was certainly ready. Waiting got the knees up. And now the window of opportunity. Well, it's all to Diamond Dallas Page. I don't know if Diamond's not getting up quick. They're both getting up at the same speed. Now Nick Patrick and ministry in the 10 count to both men here. And both literally are pulling themselves up on either side. Sting is up. Sting is up. Stagging back towards Page. Page. Seizing the opportunity. Sensing into the corner. Right left. Pop it eight. Sting and cut her time again. Hey, Sting, put the brakes on. You'll try it again, but no. Sting. Get out. Get out. One. Two. Three, Bitty. Bottom match. Bottom match up. Sting is still the world champ. It was a great match of Diamond Dallas. Just wait for that diamond cutter a little too quick and out of position. What a match up. You talk about about that exemplifies everything that world champs up.

20:28You talk about about that exemplifies everything that world championship wrestling stands for. That was it. You know, I know how Diamond Dallas watches videos. I mean, he studies them over and over. He's going to be watching this one about a hundred times. He came close. The heavyweight championship of the world. Just slipped through his fingers. Sting, up. Pop it up in the corner. The world champ here. Celebrating his win. And there is the US heavyweight champ. What a moment in time. And look at that. Sting giving the symbol of the Diamond cutter out of mutual respect to Diamond Dallas page. One of the greatest matches in the short history of the world number one wrestling program. In an embrace, he just did all the United States champs.

21:32And Sting is the heavyweight champion of the world. Will Amble on an electric night draw. Still to come. Oh, my goodness. But as you said, don't turn your attention away from your opponent. He did. Savage now gets to come back because of it. There's that sleeper. He's got it on his savage. Runs him all the way into Elizabeth. Who is up on the apron of the ring? She's been knocked down. And Savage puts his hand in the back. And Savage breaks the sleeper hold with that drop down job breaker. The drop down job breaker. Elizabeth took a nasty spill. That time she is. I don't know where she is. Look at the referee here. Well, you knew this was going to be a fight like this. You knew everything was going to get involved. The referee is checking on Elizabeth.

22:34Both men are down one with a job breaker. He won by the remnants of the sleeper. There you see Savage. He was in the grips of the sleeper. Hogan has come down. Hogan went the referee to the safety rail. Kevin Nash has got a baseball bat. And Hogan is putting the savage. He put it on Savage. What are you doing? He didn't have Piper. He was in the back. He was in the back. Stank is coming with his own bat. Little selling net. So we're on right there. And Nash was motioning for Hogan to go ahead. Right on Savage. Savage was motioning for Hogan to go ahead. Savage from behind Nail Sting. Savage is staying.

23:36Hogan and Nash together against Bina. And Piper on the back. Just like the last time we saw Piper at the end of the up. Just beating her him again. Look at this. He's holding Piper in Bina. Savage trying to dismantle Sting on the floor. The giant is arrived. The giant is arrived. And that clears the ring. He's got both bets. He just took that man. Savage is hand and Sting just laid out the match on me. Sting, the giant. Roddy Piper in charge. Center ring. Here on Nitro. Now the Van Nuvele Sugar. He's pointing to the wall.

24:38In the heat of the battle. In the battle of supremacy. Van Nuvele, who drawn and drawn again. Savage 20 towards Hogan. Hogan and Kevin Nash walking towards Savage. But there you see the heroes. The World Champion. Mr. Chuck Slam and the routing one. Who set the tone back in segment one. And let's go back to take a look once again. Piper here. He goes to pile drive Savage on a cement. He's got a lot of scratches. Ten big tracks down his back. And Roddy, Roddy has just about had enough. He's saying to her right now, I've had enough of you. Now she thinks he won't touch her. Well, were we surprised or what on this? She thought wrong.

25:39Look at his back though. Look how she dug her fingernails in there. That was just the beginning right there, Brains. Look at this. And there. Now you see Hogan's out here. Stings out here. Nash is out here. The Giants out here. There's ball bats out here. Now when this man starts winging that swing on that ball bat around. People are going to have to keep moving. And there you see the Giants take that bat away from Savage. And that allows Sting that gives him the opening. And he just mailed him with the right hand. It's exactly what we thought it would be. And there they stand. Piper, the Giants and the Worlds champion, Sting. Here, take a few wicks for me. Well, fans, what a night draws been. For Mike today, for Larry Zabiscoff, Bobby the Brain Heated. We're going to see a Thursday on Thunder, Lyme and Fairfax Virginia, WCW. Roll in the ring again. Getting back up. Big sexy is up as well. And Luke, mix today.

26:41World champion. Sting is right. Hogan, as you can see, still down. And the fight goes on. Great draft kick. Super elevation from Sting. Here he goes. Stinger's flash. The fans are up there. The bunch of fans. The World of Dangerous. He's going after the referee. Randy Savage with Rickless Abandon comes in and takes charge. Watch this. He's just putting the right to Sting. He's going after everybody. Now meanwhile, Hogan is going to try to wreck Nash. But Luke are trying to wreck Nash, but the Montreal man went off to here. That's right. Here comes Hollywood. He's going after the Montreal man. And the Montreal man. The Montreal man. The Montreal man. The Montreal man was going after Sting. He's got to face him. It's great. Look at this. What's this? Watch out. We've got a major argument right now. Sting blasting the Montreal man. Look at the face of Kevin Nash. But whatever Hogan is saying Nash and Biden.

27:41And the NWO comes out all together. They're all over Luger. Sting on Hogan. We've got, we've got fights everywhere. There's that guy again. Yeah, the guy. And Sting trying to hit everything to move. Working his way through. He was going to hit the guy. He was going to hit everything to move. Working his way through. He was going to get a little Scott Steiner. Bishoff's out there, ringside. Nash just got right out of the ring. Maybe somebody got a Bishoff for us. Well, Sting! Runs over! Big day! Who's legal? Oh, doesn't matter at this point. This match is over. But look who's left in the ring, guys. Sting, Luger. Together again. The fans, we saw it clearly. That while Luger had savage wrecked, Nash came over to help out Savage. And then Hogan and Nash got into it about helping Savage. It's come down to a personal vendetta obviously.

28:41What's the name? What's up? You think that's a deal? Come on, I want to know when you come up. I'm out of here. I'm out of here. Where are you? Where are you? You're going to be hit on the middle here. Good job, I see you. Good for none of that. Yeah, we'll call it a solid. It's got a lot of players to judge. You all see him now. Wow. Good life, some rocks. Yes, sir. The camp right now, the NWO, is still in the position right now. Well, that will be... Yeah, let me say this. I'm not trying to agree with anybody, the NWO, Kevin Nash said, Hey, Savage, we're there for you. He helped us out. As the NWO walks away in disarray, we remind you we'll see you Saturday night on WCW Saturday night and next Monday on Nitro. Good night. Did not show it all. Sting of vanily trying to pull himself back to the right.

29:42And Savage will leave and add him get up to the apron. What even letting Stan... This is where Savage is the most dangerous. I don't know if he's finding out firsthand. And he's most dangerous too, Mike, is when you're on there. Number one, two. And he knows when you're on there. That's when he really starts sinking the teeth into you. It's amazing that Sting can even stand from the pile driver on the floor, guys. I'm not sure Sting knows where he's at. Oh, boy, trying to get the coat off. Look at this. That coat hooks the arms behind him. Unfortunately for Sting Savage pulled away from the attack. Now Savage back over to the corner again. The man man. Oh, gonna post it. Posting Sting. Meanwhile, at the mercy of two men in the ring is Lex Lover. Look at Savage. First he goes after Sting. Now he's after Lover. He'll say that anybody. You know, when I saw Savage runnin' and Mike, you said it correctly.

30:44And you did too, buddy. You were not sure if he's the partner or not. When we found out he was the partner for Kevin Ast. I could only imagine the react on the face of Hollywood Hogan watching from his private dressing room in the back. How about the reaction from Eric Bishoff? So good. The man who was trying to keep the MWO together trying to be the peacemaker. Now he's gonna share. Of course he does. He's the better. He's the everything he has. Sting drops down. Savage will pick him up to use the... Oh, damn it. Right into the gut. Posting. And unfortunately still Lover. At the mercy of two men. Back elbow. Put your Lover down to the match. And now the tag again. And here comes the Macho Man Randy Savage. You got admit guys. Great teamwork with Savage. And Nash. Excellent teamwork. They knew what they had to do. Elbow, plant and a two only that time. And Luger showing his tenacity. His determination. Coming back in needle-yle.

31:44Look at this. It's now Kevin Nash assaulting Sting on the floor. Things had no offense on him. No offense. No offense. They did not get in the match at all. Neither has Luger. That's the way the NWO likes. This has been domination from Nash and Savage. Oh! That's one attempt that an offensive move. But a side step. Find the Macho Man that time. Sort of a homecoming for both of those men in the ring. Savage and Luger. Now the tag is into Kevin Nash. Luger. Look at this. Luger has no defense. He can't even cover up. He's just trying to pull himself up. And he hit the mercy. As Nash steps on the throat. Sting has mounted somewhat of a comeback. Sting is the offense. Back in the ring. Here comes Sting. And here comes Luger. Here comes Team WCW. Pick up. Sting will do it again. Make it three. We'll all go up your screen. Luger right hand. Down. Go! Savage. Well, maybe Nash. And maybe Savage has just punched themselves out. Maybe it's time now for Sting. And we're going to do a little butt kickin'.

32:45Sting Dutches had Savage punched him to the other rope. Back body time. Oh! And goes Randy Savage. Match continues. And then he's going to be able to do it. And now the next match goes Randy Savage. Match continues. Luger. And Nash. Nash. Gels Luger in the eye. I don't believe that die. Sting's gone on the floor after he's gone on the Savage. Sting is on now. Oh! It's Hollywood Hogan. Hollywood Hogan went for Sting. He went for Sting. And Sting sent him to the ring post. If he hold he couldn't take it anymore. You're not kidding Stinger Splash on the back of Savage. In the ring, Luger motion for the ring. Talk to your man. He's got a real sharp. He's got a real sharp. Look. There's the disciple. The disciple has come in. Into the gut. Oh! On the job breaker.

33:46And look, Hogan's got the attention of the referee. The referee did not see any of this. And he rolls Nash over. And that man is here to help Hogan at any cost. One, two. It's over. It's over. The three cap. And right here's there's Piper. Right, Piper's come out. He's not going to go back. He's going to go right to the ring right now. Pull him back here, Piper. And Hogan came out and say what you want to about non-trust. Nontrust, distrust, not getting along. Hogan and the NWA helped out Nash. And Savings, there are members this time, guys. There's no question about that. And as he promised, the disciple would be there to cover his back. And he certainly has as they double team on Piper. Well, he's always been there. Get a look at this. The disciple drops Luger. It's like he broke his jaw.

34:47Takes Nash. Rolls him over. Just got to have a hand on his body. He seeks out the ring. Nash gets a 1, 2, 3 right here on Luger. Fans, Piper and Hogan are scheduled to wrestle when we come back. We got to break him up and get him back in the ring. Oh. Ladies and gentlemen, Night Drow is on. And we're in Miami and you're looking live outside. You can see clearly that out back here at the Miami Arena, the Mucho Man is down. He's been injured. This happened just a few moments ago. Our cameras were dispatched outside. And just right as we go on the air, you see the ambulance has pulled out. You see a policeman are out there. And I'm going over here. Let's listen in here.

35:47I have no idea exactly what occurred. But as you can see, the Mucho Man, apparently, and I don't want to speculate too much, very seriously injured here. Tony Shivani, Mike Zabisco, this is the last thing in the world. We expected guys to see him down like this. Tony, we also see a very concerned Miss Elizabeth looking on at this situation. Savage. We just don't have any. We got paramedics that look concerned, and that's a bad sign. Now, I'd say he is holding. You can see the shoulders. They look like they are trying to immobilize his neck. And as we come into the arena, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Miami and WCW Monday Nighttruck. We are not so sure exactly what transpired. But we do understand during the course this program, we are going to try to show you possibly we did get some footage rolling out back before this incident occurred, but we are up and live, show you near the ambulance coming in.

36:47And I tell you, all right, let's go back outside once again. I understand as our cameras are still out there, and see if we can find out any more about us listening into it. We got here, you can see a promise. All right, Randy, listen to this. You can stay still, okay? You can stay still, you hear me? You hear me? You open your eyes. All right. Now members of our production crew out there, it's pretty obvious there. You notice how that EMT is trying to immobilize the neck, and now they're getting the, that board they use during serious accidents, and they're going to try to put him on this board. This, this, I tell you, fans, there's the neck brace. This is, this is really unfortunate, regardless of if it's a member of the NWO or a member of WCW anytime something like this happens to a wrestler, and you have EMTs on the scene, it's, it's very, very serious. And of course, Randy Savage is set to challenge Sting for the World Heavyweight Championship,

37:47upcoming at Spring Stampede on April the 19th, Tony. Only 13 days away, you're right. The only thing I can tell you is that we are going to follow this, and hopefully have an injury report. Look how upset she is. I mean, literally her makeup is, it's starting to run, she's crying. Hello Savage in a tremendous amount of pain here, guys. And then right now, as you can see, they are, they have been working on this neck in this collar now for about seven or eight minutes, fans. Look, keep abreast Savage still down outside the parking lot. More to come. James Dylan, JJ Dylan, who is the chairman of the executive committee. Welcome to the Sun and Fun Capital of the World here in Miami Beach. We saw at the outset of this television program, but I think was an absolute travesty involving the Macho Man Randy Savage. I want an update from you, sir. What is his condition? What's the score? Well, Gene, I'm afraid we've got more questions than we have answers right at the moment.

38:48We were able to get a camera back there, which you saw alive. Randy Savage was on the ground. There was some additional taping shop, but we're not a liberty to air that just yet, because there is a full ongoing investigation. We do not know the full extent of Savage's injuries. At this point, I was concerned because he was there on the ground for so long, but I think the EMT personnel were just showing extra caution. All right, Mike Gut feeling it is more than just the passing injury. I think this is something very serious, but I guess the thing that right now is that everybody's buying how would that affect the main event at Spring Stampede for the WCW Heavyweight title with Savage Challenging Sting? Gene, I think it's premature to even talk about that, so we know the full extent of Savage's injuries. He's shown to be very resilient over the years, and I know this is an opportunity he's been waiting for. I'm more interested at this point of finding out who's responsible for what took place. Get to the bottom of it, then we'll deal with the other issue. Will you make one promise to me, Mr. Delan? Yes, sir.

39:48If anything new crops up pleased, advise me as quickly as possible so we can pass the information along. Absolutely, Gene. Thank you, James Delan. We got a hot one here in Miami. Can I let's get you back to more exciting action. Pulling up on the smiley Zango with a lot of pressure on the smile of the back. Smiley is not feeling good. Driving the shant across the head, stepping on one arm, pulling back the other arm. As Conan is back on the attack once again, sending Norman Smiley in to the rope. Sleep frog goes Conan. Conan hugs him. Oh my goodness. Oh, drop him on his head with the cradle DDT. Did he ever? Oh. That's always a prelude to that tequila sunrise, submission hold a hiss, and here it is. And quickly Norman Smiley taps out. And you blame him? Not at all. And I'm amazed that he has the presence of mine even capped on the mat here. W-O. So, when for the new world order in this matchup, here on WCW Monday Night Trap.

40:51And later on tonight, a member of the NWO in the persona of the big sexy giant killer is causing self-kevin anger against staying for the world title. That's all due to come here. I'm hoping hopefully my condition update on the Montreal Land Rending Savage and maybe we'll see the footage that J.J. talked about earlier. Smiley had a hard time here yet to keep his eyes on Vincent. And right there, Conan and Conan hooked him, turned him upside down, dropped him right. Smack on his neck. I'm surprised Smiley was conscious, but he had enough left in the tap out. That was the smart thing to do. So, a big word for the new world order. And ladies and gentlemen, as we first went on the air tonight, we were all shot with this scene. Ambulances arriving to the Miami Arena. The macho man was finally put on a stretcher we understand. And this happened just moments ago. They took a long time, almost 20-30 minutes to get this done.

41:51Was put in the ambulance and taken away to a local hospital. Hopefully an update on the condition of Randy Savage still to come tonight. All right, we're ready to go to the footage. Let's take you outside of the Miami Arena. As you can see right now, a car is squealing away as Randy Savage rolled out of the way in the car. This is the Biot Business. A red viper is that what it was? Maybe someone says that was a red viper and you saw Vincent. And who was that with Vincent? That was the disciple. Wasn't it a cycle? And now you see Elizabeth coming to the A. There's a duck manager and other members of security. Hey, that's so much. Oh, no, is he? Hey, where? Did you do that? He grabbed her. Are you trying to do that? The disciple grabbed Elizabeth and Barry. Barry clearly said he's not so much your mouth. Is he? Fitting up. Another comeback is the endowment.

42:52Staying pretty close. Oh! Wheels around with the right hand. Standing dropped it. Big sexy back to the corner. Are you good? Cone and is coming the ring. Club sandwich. Cone and. Cone and take the bullet for Nash that time. He's coming to the corner. A pair of Stinger Splashes. He's going to try to make it three. He's out of here. He may have him here. He gets him in the middle of that ring and slaps an on him. It's all over. Oh, he held his ground. And he sends him pressing to the other side. It's credible. Come back. It's going to go for the power bomb. It's $50,000 worth of it to become champion of the world. I drink so. What do you mean, though, the squalify? The match will be over. He can't. He can. His back gave out. There's no way he can win the world title with a power bomb. And Holly will hold it. He's coming to the ring. And Nash. And the match.

43:53And Nash just realized turned around. He didn't see Hogan at first. Holly will Hogan has ruined Kevin Nash's chances. And the coming world champion. And Nash said, I had it. Nash had him. Here comes the NWO after stake. Everyone. Everyone's here. Are they ever just pounding on stake? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. You're just pounding on stake. But Nash, in Conan, there's Dade in the corner. Here comes the rally one. The rally one. The rally one.

44:53And Luke is behind him. The giant. I don't know what a paper needed. That's gonna be. Would that go yet? Piper holding off the new world order. Here on WCW Nitra. Oh yeah. Oh, no, it's a good one. Oh, no, it's a good one. The battle lines are drawn between the NWR members. Two men who must be a team of the Mad Max. But it's crystal clear that Hogan's interference ruined Kiminic's nation's chances of a Kimin World champ will see a line. Those they all thunder. Monday night at Nitro, the Muncho man, Randy Savage, what's injured before he ever got into the arena league. I know Tony and Rain, there's still some confusion

45:53about the how it happened, but let's talk about exactly what happened. And this is serious. We're talking about a man who has got a concussion. We're talking a man with a severe shoulder separation and added to that mix a torn ligament to one of his knees. And like you said, we're right around the corner from a pay-per-view in which he challenges for the championship. He will go into the ring against the World title against Sting. And certainly in the world where who wants to be in charge of the NWR, Hogan says I do. Savage says I do. If Savage's injured as he may be, can win the World title from Sting, he will, I guess, in effect be in charge of the NWR. Well, I know Randy Muncho, man, Savage. The most dangerous wrestler in this sport. If you put him in a hospital, put him in a body cast, he'll get out of that bed. He'll crawl down the hall. He'll make it to the parking lot. He'll hotwire an ambulance. He'll get to the pay-per-view somehow some way. Not only does he want to run, not only does he become, want to become the champion of the world, he wants to stick it real good to Hollywood, Hogan.

46:54But he is, he the only one is the question. Let's talk about the injury that Lee described as it happened Monday on WCW Monday night show. Let's take a look at the footage right now. This one footage taken, as you see, this Dodge Viper is skidding away quickly. And the Muncho man Randy Savage is laying on the control. Now listen here. Vincent and the man that has been come to know as the disciple said it was NWO visits. You can see that Savage is seriously injured right now and has security as taking over Savage. Elizabeth comes to Zayn and listen what happens here. Hey, hey. That's so Muncho now, is he? He is not so Muncho now, is he? And you know, there was a lot of accusations made one by Rody Viper, one by Kevin Nash himself. Finally, the medical response team arrived and took Savage to the hospital. And really, if you really believe what they say that Hogan was a perpetrator here, as you can see the neck brace being put on.

47:55And if you go back to what Hogan did to Kevin Nash running his title shot, Hollywood Hogan is so jealous. It seems he wants to be the only one to get a world title shot, Lee. I want to make one observation to reflect on an observation that Kevin Nash made. And that is not a whole lot of people can afford Viper's, let alone Viper's, painted in red and yellow, which is the colors trademarked by, well, let's just say one Mr. H. Hogan, formerly of Venice Beach, California. Now this is exclusive footage right here. This we did not see on Monday. This happened during the course of our program. Savage, it took him a very, very long time to strap into that board. There you see the IB was put in, the neck brace put on, it took him a long time. And fans giving their response as the macho man was taken away. You heard the injury run down by staggerly Marshall. Obviously serious injuries that would jeopardize a world title shot. But in 10 days, Savage must go in the ring and not only just go in the ring for the world title, gentlemen, he must go in the ring and get some in there we all feel

48:57is the greatest world champion of our time. And that is stick. And since I just got to know, I just got to know Sting. If Hollywood wasn't there last Monday night, I got a real good feeling. I had the gold around this sexy waist right now. Well, ask and use your machine. So we'll need a bat. Here comes the heavyweight champion of the world. And James James Dylan in town. Well, match, yes, for it. Oh, he took the mic right.

49:58You want to have a world title match? I want you to have a world title match. You want to have that world title match tonight? I want you to have a tonight. Oh, yeah. I want you to have that shot tonight. You want to do it? You want the bat? You can take my bat here. I want you to have my bat. Guys, come on, guys. Please, hey, hey. And I wait, wait, hey. Sting is lit. Please, guys. No, no, no, no, wait. He's too heavy to do it. Don't get last a bat. And I wait, no, no. Guys, WCW still makes the matches. If you guys are insistent on Russell, it can't be now. You'll have to be in tonight's main event if this has got to take place. You can wrestle title match tonight. And up now. I got one last thing to say. I'm tired of you bitching about that stupid power bomb.

51:03You want that power bomb reinstated? You can reinstate it tonight because I want you to reinstate it. No, JJ won't do that, he said. You said I can have it. I can use it. I'll do the habit. You said I can have it. It's Daniel Grounds. It's against my better judgment. But if you say he can do it, I guess I can't stop it. All right, a title match tonight's main event and the power bombs win. Oh my goodness. Oh my. Why do you have green of that? That's what's going on. I got the back, sold out, spring, stampede. I mean, no back tonight. You got your title match. You got the power bomb. What were you on? So, Fadget won't be Nash and Hogan. It's going to be Nash and Sting tonight. World title, you see. What Nash is talking about, the bet and the power bomb.

52:03I tell you, I've never seen Sting like this. He's lost all his motion of control. We have to. That power bomb goes through. He gave Nash the bet. I don't know. Well, so like this. I don't know. Sting may not be thinking clearly at this point, Larry. But it's obvious that both men have something to do. That's what I'm going to do. It's a whistle. He's not in control tonight. You heard it from the J.J. You're getting it some order. Ketanak can have that drop. You got it here? Go on the best like that. Are you not doing well? And Nash, saying, hey, Datic and Troll, you need some order. Can you imagine that here and that from Ketanak? Pressure to the edge. Trice. Three times. Four. That'll put a big man off his feet. But he stays up incredibly. Sting right hand. Three of them. Here. Here comes. You wake up the right hand. Stinger splashed in the corner. He's still up though. He is still up. You're not getting it. Definitely.

53:04Yeah. He's still up. Good. Keg. He's still up. He's still on his feet. It's incredibly, it can't get him down. Stinger splashed in front of the high. Look at Sam. It's your man Randy Savage. The most dangerous man in wrestling is sending Elizabeth ahead. He's got a cast on one arm. It's seen as if he's limping and sting right now. Has a scorpion devlock on. Ortee's close to it. There it is. Savage hit Sting in the back. He hit him with the cast. In the referee. It was Elizabeth. Yeah, we're going to have a new champion here. All Nash needs to do is just roll over and cover Sting. Here it is. One, two, two, two, two, two. He got the shout out. It was only two. Oh my. Stinger is out.

54:04He's going to go for the power bomb here. Tony. That's right, Brain. That's what he's going for, the power bomb. Up, down. That's it. One, two, Savage. No. Brazler. Brazler. Pull out the referee. Brazler. Pull out the referee. That's a man. Remember, Sting out the referee. Yes. He said the same if you need help. Give me a call. I'm here. And Sting needed help. And now, Brett the hit man heart. Trying to put his job here on big sexy. He's trying to fight it. The heart's down. He's got it. Brett heart. Now. That's the troops. Oh boy, you're not kidding. Brett heart came in for justice just like the impromised. And then Brett heart.

55:05He told Sting that you could always rely on him. And it was Brett heart to the rescue. But now the new world order. This is just too much. Oh, another jet-like power bomb. I like this. Whoa. Good heart, ducks. He picked up, Scott. Got it. Got it. Out goes Steiner. Sting is down. And Brett heart is ruling the ring. So he go ahead and read. He's been fighting off the NWL. He hasn't gone off his feet. And how much can this man take? He's a human being. This is too many of them. He's more than a human being. He's the hit man. He's a man's man. And he stands for what is right. And he's still standing. Ladies and gentlemen, his sting is down. He's desperately out of time. He is still a world champ. We'll see you Thursday. I'll thunder in bargo. Good night, everybody. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Thunder, everyone. You know, one of the burning questions we've

56:06talked about during the course of this program has to do with the World Title Match this Sunday. Sting to defend against the Macho Man Randy Savage. Well, the cause of the injuries. There's Hollywood Hogan. There's Kevin Nash. There's even Diamond Dallas Page. Can you clear up? Who Sting will defend against this Sunday at Spring Stampede? Tony, before I dress that, you know there's a lot of times I come out here when I like to make assurances of things that I know are going to come to be with a great degree of certainty, and I can't always do that. But there are two things that I am certain are going to take place this coming week. First of all, Goldberg will be on Nitro next Monday, and it will be his first challenge for a major title. And this is certainly richly deserved. These aren't that right. The only question will be a DDP. Will it be Raven? He will have that answer at the pay-per-view. And speaking of the pay-per-view, I can assure you that Mark is right. Butthbag will, and Scott Steiner will be in Denver. Will go in the ring as a tag team, and will face Rick Steiner in the total package next

57:07little ring. You have my assurance. Okay. Now, as far as the title matches concern, last Monday on Nitro, we all saw that Randy Savage came out and was wearing a cast. And this greatly concerned the executive committee because, well, if he's not fit to challenge Sting for the title this coming Sunday, I know as you've mentioned, there are three other individuals who are ready willing and able. Certainly DDP would step forth regardless of what happens with his match. Kevin Nash has made it clear, and Lessie's noxily with a bat. He wants to step in, and Holly Woodhogan, obviously, is a former champion, is deserving. But when I say fit, I mean that for Randy Savage to be permitted to go in the ring this Sunday and face Sting, the executive committee is demanding that he have a release from a doctor, and by fit, I mean, and I haven't seen him tonight. I don't know what his situation is. I hope he's not wearing a cast for the match tonight because that will clear a part of it. But if he's to go in the ring, he must be fit based on a doctor, which means no cast. He cannot wear a cast.

58:08Well, the reaction you hear, James J. Dillon is for the man who is making his way down. The macho man, Randy Savage, you, by the way, will be in that tag team main event with Kevin Nash against Brett Hart and Sting later on here tonight. You. Brother, brother, brother, brother, let me tell you something right now. You got no jurisdiction over the madness. Do you understand that? If you want to do something, and do something constructive, why don't you get out there and walk outside the arena and watch out for red and yellow vipers, would ball the edit, blonde hair like three hairs from Hollywood license plates that are running over people before they come into this damn arena. I understand how badly you want this match.

59:12We have reviewed all the tape and would love to have conclusive evidence as to who is responsible. We do not have that. Suspissions, yes. The problem is the match assigned for this Sunday, and in good conscious, I have to know the executive committee has to know that you are physically fit to go in the ring, which means I need a doctor's clearance, and I need no cast on your arm. Have I made myself clear? You better believe, J. J. Dillon, that I'm tough enough, but I'm telling you right now, you're weak, and you make me sick, and I'm going to take Sting on Sunday, and I'm going to be the guy going after the World Battle, and there ain't nothing that you could do to stop me or anybody else. Understand, brother, I don't need you helping me. Now, or at any time, I'll take the long my own hands to get... He's going to be there.

1:00:13Tony, what happened to Macho Man was wrong. We all agree that. The problem is we have a title match to this Sunday, and there are certain rules that we have to live up to certain criteria. All right, James J. Dillon, I wouldn't want to be in your juice. Let's go back to the ring. Why, Macho? I think Goldberg is completely intense, completely motivated. I'm going to be just another match boy. I would think. Hound goes Bret Hart from the Big Lariat. Now, Goldberg realizes that there will probably be the biggest television audience in the history of television watching this one. He's not going to let any himself down more than anything. This is his opportunity of all lifetime. 73 and 0, I predict he's going to win. Sleeper. Andy, Eric's a sleeper holder. You're right. Actually, it goes to a side headlock. His Bret Hart slides to the side. Now, we announced earlier that Goldberg will... No! Oh, my! What a move by the hitman! Andy was at a desperation, but he put the Big Man down. Goldberg will face Saturn at Springstank Feats. He comes in and defeated.

1:01:14He'll be 74 now. Monday when he goes out of the US title. Sting though, right now encouraging the hitman to make the tag. And look at the fans. Here's the Fargo Dome. Standing. 20,000 people out there feeding. We're among them. I'm going to make that tag. He did it! Here comes the rope, James. And here comes Savage as well. Swinging wildly with a cast. And it's a good thing Sting ducked out of the way. Sting. I hit. Oh no. Now, hit a Sting. Goddammit! Stinger's fall, Stinger's splash. And he turns right around and Big Sexy sends him down hard. But here comes the hitman. What a matchup we have on Thunder. Four arms shots, fist to the face. Bread hard, not finished yet. But neither is big one. Neither is Kevin Nash, foot to the face. Hard rolls out on the far side. Sting back to his feet. Stinger's up there. Oh! And now, it's Sting. And Savage by themselves in the ring. Oh, Sting! Sting went for the scorpion splash.

1:02:14And he got hit in the head with that cast. Why Savage put that cast right up there? Sting couldn't stop. He was airborne. Now, Savage is going to be airborne. Get a load of this. What Randy Savage does best. And look at the distance. Look at the distance. Stinger's down. He went down hard. He may be out. This may be academic. A bottom top Savage for the Big Sexy. Get him! It's out of the cycle. Toggin' rollin' in. Toggin' in. Oh. And the disciple. And they're going to cause a disqualification. And they're going for Savage. They're going for the arm. Savage may have had the match. Oh, no. He's trying to break the arm even further. And Savage here, Nash pulls hookin' off. Oh. And the disciple stands between Nash and Hogan. There's a lot of trouble here. There's a lot of trouble. There is enough abundance of trouble. More than we've ever seen. And now, other members of the NWL are coming in. We're gonna hold Nash back. Adam Skinick. They're all trying to separate these two. We are seeing very graphically the NWL have their deepest

1:03:16rooted problem. Ladies and gentlemen, WCWCenter tonight is two hours this week. We'll see you next Wednesday on Thunder. Don't forget Spring Stampede. Go for a gifty title shot. Line from the Alhaint draw. Go for it. My name.
