What have you been doing everything you were told to do to manifest the life you want? And it still feels like nothing is happening. You've made the vision board, you've written the affirmations, you've visualized the relationship, the money, the opportunity, the healing, the freedom, the new beginning. Maybe you've even tried to stay positive every single day because you were afraid that one negative thought might somehow push your manifestation farther away. And yet, underneath all of that effort, there may still be this quiet question. Why isn't it working? Why does it sometimes feel like the harder you try to manifest something, the farther away it seems? Well, today I want to explore something that may completely change the way you think about manifestation because maybe the problem is not that you aren't trying hard enough.
Maybe the problem is that you are trying too hard. Maybe manifestation was never meant to become another job. Another thing you have to manage perfectly. Another reason to criticize yourself because you didn't think the right thought, say the right affirmation, or stay in a high vibration every minute of the day. Maybe the deeper question isn't, how do I get what I want? Maybe the deeper question is, who am I being while I'm asking for it? Welcome. I'm Jules and you're listening to L-O-A Radio Network. Today we're talking about why your manifestation may not be working the way you expected and why the answer may have much less to do with chasing what you want and much more to do with becoming the person who can naturally receive it.
We're going to talk about self-concept identity, the law of attraction, the law of assumption, detachment, aligned action, and something that I think is incredibly important, learning how to stop living in the emotional state of waiting. Because when you are constantly waiting for your life to change, you are also constantly reminding yourself that it hasn't changed yet, and that can become a very powerful pattern. So today I want to invite you into a different way of looking at manifestation. Not more pressure, not more chasing, not more trying to force the universe to prove something to you. Instead, we're going to explore what happens when you begin to shift from wanting into becoming. Because sometimes the breakthrough begins when you stop asking,
where is it? And you start asking, who am I becoming? Let's start with something simple. When you really want something, what do you usually do? You think about it, you imagine it, you talk about it, you look for signs that it's coming, you wonder when it will happen, and sometimes without even realizing it, you begin checking for it all day long. Has it happened yet? Is this the sign? Did I say the affirmation enough times? Did I visualize it correctly? Am I in the right vibration? And here's where manifestation can become exhausting. Because instead of feeling like a creative process, it starts feeling like you're taking a test, and every day you're checking to see if you passed. But think about what that constant checking is communicating to you. Every time you ask,
where is it? You are also noticing it isn't here. Every time you say, I hope it happens soon, there is an unspoken message underneath it. It hasn't happened yet. And every time you panic, because you had a negative thought, you may be giving that thought more power than it ever deserved. Now I'm not saying desire is wrong, desire is beautiful, desire gives us direction. It can show us what we're ready to experience, create, learn, or become. But there is a big difference between wanting something and chasing something. Chasing has tension in it. Chasing says, I have to catch this before it gets away. Chasing says, I need this to happen so I can finally feel okay. Chasing says, my happiness is somewhere out there and I have to get to it. Becoming is different. Becoming says,
let me begin living from the qualities I believe this experience will bring me. If you want more abundance, what does an abundant version of you believe? How does that person make decisions? How does that person treat their time? How do they respond when something doesn't go perfectly? If you want a loving relationship, how does the version of you who feels loved treat themselves today? If you want greater success, what habits, boundaries, choices, and beliefs belong to the version of you who can sustain that success? This is where manifestation becomes less about convincing the universe and more about changing your relationship with yourself. Because your desire may be pointing toward an outcome, but it may also be pointing toward an identity. And that is the
shift I want us to explore today. Instead of asking, how do I chase this down? Ask, what would it look like to begin becoming the person who can live this naturally? That doesn't mean pretending. It doesn't mean denying your present circumstances, and it certainly doesn't mean acting as the problem stone exists. It means beginning little by little to align your inner story, your choices, and your expectations with the life you say you want. Stop chasing, start becoming. And from there, the entire experience of manifestation begins to change. Let's go a little deeper now, because this is where self-concept comes in. Self-concept is simply the story you carry about who you are. Not the story you tell other people,
the story you tell yourself. Who are you when no one is watching? What do you believe you deserve? What do you expect from relationships? What do you expect from money? What do you expect from opportunity? What do you expect from life? Those expectations matter because they quietly influence the choices you make every day. Imagine two people who both want more abundance. One person says, I want more money, but underneath that desire is a belief that money is always hard to get. That wealthy people are lucky, and that every opportunity eventually disappears. The other person also wants more money, but underneath that desire is a belief that they can learn, grow, create value, recognize opportunities, and recover when something goes wrong. They may have the same goal, but they are living from very different internal stories.
And those stories affect what they notice. They affect what they attempt. They affect what they tolerate. They affect how quickly they give up. This is why changing your self-concept does not mean standing in front of a mirror and pretending to be someone you don't believe you are. It means becoming aware of the assumptions you have been carrying. Maybe your story has been, I always struggle. People always leave me. Nothing works out for me. I'm too old. I'm too late. I'm not lucky. I'm not the kind of person who gets those opportunities. Those thoughts may have been repeated so often that they no longer feel like thoughts. They feel like facts. But what if they're not facts? What if they're simply old conclusions? A powerful question is, does this belief describe who I truly am, or doesn't describe what I
have experienced so far? Because those are not the same thing. Your past can explain a belief without requiring you to keep it forever. So begin paying attention to the identity hidden underneath your manifestation. If you say you want love, ask yourself whether you see yourself as lovable. If you want abundance, ask whether you see yourself as capable of receiving, managing, and keeping abundance. If you want a new beginning, ask whether part of you still believes the past gets the final vote. Manifestation may begin with desire. But transformation begins when you become willing to question the story about who you are. And sometimes, changing that story changes everything.

And sometimes people treat them as though they're competing ideas. But I think there's a useful way to look at both. The law of attraction is often described through the idea that what we consistently focus on, feel, expect, and give our attention to influences what we experience and what we move toward. The law of assumption takes a slightly different angle. It asks, what are you assuming to be true? Not what do you wish were true? Not what do you say for 5 minutes during an affirmation. What do you actually assume? Do you assume opportunities are available to you? Or do you assume you'll probably be overlooked? Do you assume love can
be safe and mutual? Or do you assume people eventually disappoint you? Do you assume you can build something meaningful? Or do you assume success belongs to other people? An assumption is powerful because you often stop questioning it. You simply live from it. Imagine walking into a room where you assume nobody wants you there. Before anyone even speaks, your body may tighten. Your eyes may search for evidence. A neutral expression might look like rejection. A short conversation may feel like proof that you don't belong. Now imagine walking into that same room, assuming you have every right to be there. The room hasn't changed, but your experience of it may change dramatically. That is one reason identity matters so much. Your assumptions can become filters. You notice evidence that supports them. You interpret events
through them. And then those interpretations influence your next decision. This doesn't mean you control every circumstance in life. You don't. And it doesn't mean difficult experiences happen because somebody manifested them wrong. That kind of thinking can become cruel very quickly. What it does mean is that we can become more conscious of the assumptions we carry into our choices. Instead of asking only what do I want, ask what am I assuming about myself in relation to what I want? If your desire is abundance, but your assumption is there is never enough. That tension matters. If your desire is love, but your assumption is I have to earn love. That matters too. And when you begin shifting the assumption, not through force, but through repetition, experience, new choices, and awareness, your relationship with the desire begins to change.
You stop begging life to prove that you are worthy. And you begin practicing the possibility that perhaps you already are. I want to talk about waiting. Because waiting can become an identity all by itself. I'll be happy when the relationship comes. I'll relax when the money arrives. I'll feel successful when I get the recognition. I'll believe in myself when somebody else believes in me. I'll start living when this manifestation finally shows up. And without realizing it, life becomes a waiting room. Everything meaningful is always about to begin. Next month, next year, when the right person comes, when the right opportunity arrives, when the bank account changes, when the universe gives you the sign you've been asking for.
But here's the question. What happens to today? What happens to this version of you? What happens to the life that is already happening while you're waiting for the next life to begin? This is why start becoming matters so much. Because becoming gives you something you can participate in now. If you want peace, where can you create five minutes of peace today? If you want more confidence, where can you make one decision from confidence today? If you want abundance, how can you appreciate, organize, improve, or wisely use what is already in your hands? If you want love, where can you practice being more loving towards yourself and the people already in your life? That doesn't replace the desire. You can still want the relationship. You can still want the money. You can still want the business, the house, the trip, the opportunity,
the healing, the new beginning. But you stop requiring the future to give you permission to live now. There is enormous power in saying, I'm not going to postpone becoming myself. I'm not waiting for somebody else to choose me before I choose myself. I'm not waiting for a perfect circumstance before I begin respecting my own time. I'm not waiting for abundance before I learn to manage what I have. I'm not waiting for confidence before I take the first small step. Because sometimes the action comes before the feeling. Sometimes you make the brave choice while still feeling afraid. Sometimes you begin before you feel ready. Sometimes your identity catches up to the action you've been practicing. So notice where you have placed your life on hold and
ask yourself, what part of the life I want can I begin embodying today? Not someday. Not when the manifestation arrives today. Because your life is not waiting to begin. It is already happening. There is another word showing up more and more in conversations about manifestation, embodiment. And I think it's useful because it brings us out of our heads. Manifestation can become very mental. Think the right thought. Repeat the right phrase. Visualize the right scene. But we are not just minds floating around in space. We experience life through our bodies too. Have you ever wanted something deeply? And then when an opportunity actually appeared, you became uncomfortable? Maybe somebody offered you more responsibility.
And suddenly you doubted yourself. Maybe a healthy relationship began to develop and part of you wanted to run. Maybe your business started growing and instead of excitement, you felt overwhelmed. Maybe somebody complimented you and you immediately rejected it. Oh, it was nothing. No, I'm not that good. I just got lucky. Sometimes we say we want more. But when more begins to arrive, it feels unfamiliar. And unfamiliar does not always feel safe. This is where embodiment can become a helpful practice. Instead of only imagining the external result, imagine how you want to feel while living it. Calm, grounded, capable, loved, open, secure, grateful, free. Then ask, can I practice a little of that feeling now? Not fake it. Practice it. There is a difference. Maybe that means slowing your
breathing before an important conversation. Maybe it means taking a walk without your phone and allowing your mind to settle. Maybe it means receiving a compliment and simply saying, thank you. Maybe it means looking at a new opportunity and giving yourself time before automatically saying no. This is not about forcing yourself to feel positive all the time. Human beings have emotions. Fear happens, doubt happens, sadness happens, frustration happens. You do not ruin your life because you have a difficult day. The goal is not perfection, but goal is capacity. Can you expand your ability to stay present when something good happens? Can you receive without immediately minimizing it? Can you experience uncertainty without automatically assuming disaster? Can you let a new possibility exist long enough to explore it? Sometimes becoming the person who receives more is not
about doing more. Sometimes it is about learning how to stop pushing good things away simply because they feel unfamiliar and that is a very different kind of manifestation. Now let's talk about detachment because this is one of those words that can sound completely backward when you first hear it. You might think, if I detach from what I want, doesn't that mean I don't care anymore? No. Detachment is not the absence of desire. It is the absence of desperation. There is a difference. You can deeply want something without making your entire sense of peace depend on whether it happens today. Think about plantiness seed. You water it, you give it sunlight, you care for the soil. But imagine digging it up every morning to check whether the roots have started growing. That constant checking would interfere with the very process
you're trying to support. And sometimes we do the emotional version of that. We say an affirmation then immediately check reality. We visualize, then look for evidence. We decide to trust, then 30 minutes later we ask the universe for another sign. And if we don't get the sign quickly enough, we ask for a sign about the sign. Detachment says, I can care about this without making my self miserable while I wait. It says, I can take meaningful action without trying to control every detail. It says, I can hold a desire and still enjoy my life. That is incredibly freeing because desperation narrows your world. It convinces you there is only one acceptable outcome, one person, one job, one path, one timeline. But life can be far more creative than that.
Detachment allows you to say, this is what I desire and I'm open to how it unfolds. That does not mean becoming passive. It means loosening your grip. You can sim the application and then go enjoy dinner. You can have the conversation and then allow the other person to respond. You can launch the project and then continue living your life. You can set the intention without turning every moment afterward into an inspection. And here is a question worth asking. If I truly trusted that my life could continue unfolding in meaningful ways, what would I stop obsessively checking your phone, your bank account, someone's social media page, the email inbox, the calendar? Sometimes detachment is simply giving your self permission to stop staring at the door and enjoy the room you're already in. You can want more. You can believe in more
and you can still be here now. That is not giving up. That is letting go of the struggle. Now this brings us to action because there is a version of manifestation teaching that makes it sound as though taking action somehow means you don't trust the universe. I don't see it that way. If an idea keeps coming to you, explore it. If you feel inspired to make the call, make the call. If the opportunity requires an application, submit the application. If you want a different career, learn the skill. If you want a healthier relationship, practice clearer communication. Manifestation does not have to mean sitting still and waiting for reality to rearrange itself. You are part of the process. The phrase I like is aligned action. Aligned action is different
from frantic action. Frantic action says, if I stop moving, everything will collapse. Aligned action says, this step makes sense for the person I'm becoming. Think about abundance. If your goal is greater financial stability, aligned action might mean improving the skill, creating a budget, asking for the opportunity, launching the service, making the sales call, or learning something you have avoided. If your desire is love, aligned action might mean becoming available for connection. Communicating honestly, setting boundaries, or no longer chasing people who repeatedly show you, they are unavailable. If your desire is confidence, aligned action may be doing the thing before confidence arrives. Sometimes we wait to feel completely certain before taking action,
but complete certainty is rare. Growth often asks us to move with some uncertainty still present. So here is a simple practice. Ask yourself every morning, what is one action the version of me I'm becoming would take today? One action, not 27, one. Maybe it's sending an email. Maybe it's making a phone call. Maybe it's cleaning the workspace. Maybe it's saying no. Maybe it's saying yes. Maybe it's resting because you have confused exhaustion with productivity. Aligned action does not always look dramatic. Small choices repeated consistently can change the direction of a life. And that is important because becoming is not usually one giant moment. It is hundreds of small moments where you stop choosing from the old identity and begin choosing
from the new one. That is where your inner work starts becoming visible in the world. It's not just electric. Let's use money as an example. Because abundance is one of the most common reasons people become interested in manifestation. And money can bring up a lot of emotion. Hope, fear,
excitement, shame, security, freedom, comparison, sometimes all in the same day. You may say, I want financial abundance. But underneath that desire, what do you believe about money? Do you believe there is never enough? Do you believe it disappears as quickly as it arrives? Do you feel guilty, wanty more? Do you assume you have to struggle to deserve it? Do you believe people with money are somehow different from you? Again, these beliefs are not magic spells, but they can influence behavior. If you believe opportunities are rare, you may hold tightly to situations that no longer serve you. If you believe you cannot handle money, you may avoid looking at your finances. If you believe earning more will somehow change you into a person you don't want to be, you may unconsciously pull back from opportunities to grow. So an abundance mindset is not
simply repeating, I am rich. It can be much more practical than that. It can sound like, I am learning how to create value. I am capable of making thoughtful decisions. I can become better at managing resources. I can notice opportunities I once ignored. I can learn from mistakes without turning them into my identity. An abundance is not only money. Abundance can be time, ideas, relationships, creativity, healthier choices, knowledge, support, possibility. When you begin noticing what is already working, something important happens. You stop training your attention exclusively on lack. That does not mean ignoring bills or pretending financial problems do not exist. It means addressing reality without allowing reality to define your entire future. You can say, this is where I am,
and also say, this is not necessarily where I will stay. Then bring it back to becoming. Who is the version of you who has a healthier relationship with abundance? What do they learn? What do they stop avoiding? What choices do they make? What conversations are they willing to have? Where do they invest their attention? Maybe abundance is not something you chase. Maybe it is something you gradually become more capable of recognizing, creating, receiving, and sustaining. Relationships are another place where chasing can become very obvious. Because when we deeply want love, it can be easy to make another person the center of the manifestation. Will they call? Will they choose me? Will they come back? What are they thinking? What does that message mean? And suddenly, your emotional state is being controlled by someone else's behavior.
That is a painful place to live. So instead of beginning with, how do I make this person choose me? What happens if you begin with, what does being chosen by myself look like? Do I honor my needs? Do I respect my own boundaries? Do I stay in situations that repeatedly hurt me? Because I'm afraid there won't be anything else. Do I confuse attention with love? Do I confuse chemistry with compatibility? Self-concept matters tremendously here. Because if your identity says, I have to prove I'm worth loving, you may find yourself constantly performing, trying to be easy enough, pretty enough, successful enough, interesting enough, patient enough, anything enough. But healthy love is not a prize awarded after you pass an endless series of tests. And becoming more loving towards yourself
can change what you accept from other people. That may be one of the most powerful relationships of all. Instead of trying to manifest someone who finally validates you, you begin validating yourself. Instead of trying to convince someone to see your worth, you start living as though your worth is not up for negotiation. That doesn't make you cold. It can actually make love more genuine. Because you are no longer asking another person to repair your entire sense of self. You can meet them as a whole human being, rather than as the missing piece that must complete your life. If you are manifesting love, ask yourself, how does the loved version of me live today? Maybe they speak kindly to themselves. Maybe they stop pursuing unavailable people. Maybe they become more honest. Maybe they allow themselves to be seen. Maybe they stop calling
anxiety a sign that something is meant to be. Love is beautiful. But the desire for love should not require you to abandon yourself. Sometimes the relationship manifestation begins with the relationship you have with you. So what do you do when you catch yourself spiraling? When you've been checking for signs, overthinking, questioning everything, and feeling as though your manifestation has become another source of anxiety? Try this reset. First, stop. Not forever, just for a moment. Put the phone down. Step away from the videos. Step away from the endless advice. Take a breath. Then ask yourself three questions. Question number one, what am I afraid this situation means about me? That question can reveal a lot. Maybe the delayed opportunity
makes you afraid you are not good enough. Maybe the unanswered message makes you afraid you are unlovable. Maybe the financial difficulty makes you afraid you will never be secure. Question number two, is that interpretation the only possible interpretation? Usually it isn't. A delay is not automatically a rejection. A mistake is not automatically a destiny. One difficult season does not automatically describe the rest of your life. Question number three, what would the grounded version of me do next? Not the panic version, not the desperate version, not the version trying to control everything, the grounded version. Maybe the grounded version waits. Maybe they make the call. Maybe they ask the question directly. Maybe they revise the plan. Maybe they go to sleep. Maybe they stop consuming information and begin applying what they already know. Sometimes we don't need
another manifestation technique. We need to stop collecting techniques. Because information can become another form of chasing. One more video. One more teacher. One more method. One more ritual. And every new technique quietly reinforces the idea. I still don't have the answer. What if you already know enough to begin? What if your next step is not more information but more trust in yourself? So when you feel stuck, return to simple things. Notice the story. Question the story. Choose the next grounded action. Then go live your life. Manifestation does not require you to monitor the universe 24 hours a day. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to laugh. You are allowed to forget about the desire for a few hours. You are allowed to be human. And sometimes that space is exactly what allows a new perspective to appear. I want to give you an
exercise you can actually use after this episode. You can write it down, think through it on a walk simply sit quietly with the questions. Choose one desire. Just one. Maybe it is financial abundance. Maybe it is love. Maybe it is health. Maybe it is confidence. Maybe it is a new career. Maybe it is peace. Now ask yourself. If this desire became part of my life, who would I believe I had become? Don't focus only on what you would own. Focus on who you would be. Would you feel more secure, more confident, more open, more creative, more relaxed, more courageous, more trusting? Then ask. What parts of bad identity can I begin practicing before the external result
arrives? If you want freedom, where can you create a little more freedom now? If you want confidence, what conversation have you been avoiding? If you want abundance, what resource could you manage more intentionally? If you want love, how can you become more honest about what you need? Next question. What would I stop doing if I trusted this new identity? Would you stop checking constantly? Would you stop talking yourself out of opportunities? Would you stop returning to the same relationship pattern? Would you stop apologizing for every decision? Would you stop assuming the worst before anything has happened? And finally, what is one small action I can take in the next 24 hours that matches the person I am becoming? Not someday, 24 hours. This is where
identity becomes practical because an identity is not only something you think, it is something you practice. You practice confidence when you speak honestly. You practice abundance when you make an intentional decision with your resources. You practice self-respect when you hold a boundary. You practice trust when you stop checking every five minutes. And the beautiful thing about small actions is that they create evidence, evidence for yourself. You begin saying, oh, I handled that differently. I spoke up. I followed through. I didn't chase. I rested. I took the opportunity. Those moments matter because gradually the new identity stops feeling like something you are pretending to become. It starts feeling like you. Before we close, I want to say something that I
think a lot of people need to hear. You do not have to manifest perfectly. You are going to have negative thoughts. You are going to doubt yourself sometimes. You are going to wake up in a bad mood. You may feel frustrated. You may feel impatient. You may have days when you don't feel abundant or grateful or aligned or spiritual at all. And you are still okay. One difficult bot does not erase everything you've been working toward. One bad day does not cancel your future. One moment of fear does not mean you have somehow sent the wrong order to the universe. Please give yourself some room to be human. Because if manifestation becomes another system for policing every thought you have, it stops being liberating. It becomes exhausting.
The goal is not to eliminate every thought that contradicts what you desire. The goal is to stop allowing those thoughts to automatically run your life. You can notice fear and still move forward. You can notice doubt and still make the call. You can notice an old belief and say, I understand where that came from. But I do not have to make today's decision from it. That is growth. And growth is rarely perfectly linear. Sometimes you feel powerful. Sometimes you feel uncertain. Sometimes you take two steps forward and one step back. You are still moving. Your job is not to become a flawless manifestation machine. Your job is to become more conscious, more aware, more intentional, more compassionate with yourself, more willing to choose differently when an old pattern appears. Think about how different that feels. Instead of, I had a negative thought.
Now everything is ruined. You can say, that's an old thought. I noticed it. And now I'm choosing again. You get to choose again as many times as necessary. That is one of the most hopeful things about personal growth. You do not have to wait for Monday or January or the next new moon or the perfect moment. You can choose again right now. And sometimes that single choice is enough to begin changing your direction. Segment 14, closing. Stop chasing, start becoming. So as we come to the end of our time together today, I want to bring you back to the question we started with. Why isn't my manifestation working? Maybe the answer is not that you need another technique. Maybe you don't need to affirm harder. Maybe you don't need to visualize longer. Maybe you don't need another sign.
Maybe you don't need to convince the universe that you deserve what you want. Maybe the invitation is much simpler. Stop chasing, start becoming. Become the person who trusts themselves a little more. Become the person who can receive a compliment without pushing it away. Become the person who notices opportunities instead of automatically assuming, therefore someone else. Become the person who respects their own boundaries. Become the person who takes one aligned action instead of 50 frantic ones. Become the person who can desire something deeply without putting their entire life on hold until it arrives. Your manifestation is not only about getting something. Sometimes the desire is showing you where you are ready to grow, where you are ready to heal an old story,
where you are ready to become more courageous, more open, more grounded, more honest, more available to your own life. And remember, you do not have to become that person overnight. Becoming happens one choice at a time. One thought you question. One boundary you honor. One opportunity you explore. One old pattern you decide not to repeat. One moment where you choose trust instead of panic. So this week, instead of asking the universe, where is my manifestation? Try asking yourself, who am I becoming? And then listen, because the answer may not come as a sign in the sky. It may come as a quiet knowing, a different decision, a conversation you finally have,
a door you finally open, a door you finally close, a small action that the old version of you would never have taken. I'm Jules and you've been listening to L.O.A. Radio Network.
