Steelers' QB Dilemma: Rodgers or Rookie?

0:00On April 6, Pittsburgh Steelers fans, the quarterback's spot for 2026 is still wide open, and we're just kicking off April. The team's holding tight, waiting on Aaron Rogers to decide his future, with word they might get clarity by the NFL draft. But if he bounces, that's prime time down the drain when they could have snagged a fresh arm already. Analysts like Garrett Podell are buzzing that Rogers fits perfect in the steel city, linking back up with Coach Mike McCarthy. They just traded for a wide-out Michael Pittman Jr., who slots in smooth next to DK. Metcalf Pittman owns the short and middle routes, while Metcalf stretches the field deep. Folks are split on this move. Rogers could punch their ticket to the playoffs and boost short-term wins, but Pittsburgh ain't built for a Super Bowl run yet. Another 9-8 finish might feel like treading water, or should they roll with a young gun like Will Howard and Bill Long. The Steelers seem chill just sitting back for Rogers' call, especially with Pittman already loading up the offense as a solid number 2 option.
