It's the new bowl for good weed batteries. You're in safe hands with good weed for cover and estate. Australia's Mr. Watered Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Tom Morrison, but that's under racing with your new bowl pair. If you are a new bowl, thank you. We love your company and we'll enjoy it again this summer when we have similar cast bars across Channel 7 and SEN before each day of the test series against New Zealand, which will be very exciting. You're off to set Africa soon, but as old as I'll get as, I'll always enjoy the start of a domestic summer. The one day cup, which doesn't have any naming rights sponsor anymore, which probably tells you about somewhat about its relevance in the Australian cricket psyche, is still very much an important part of our setup in my mind. It began on Friday the 18th of September when WA faced South Australia. That was a no-result game. Then Queensland versus Victoria, Victoria won by three wickets with one ball remaining, which was unbelievable. Limp like Fodon De Buu at 149. The Victorian week keeper absolutely dominated. Then Tazzy beat WA by nine wickets. Then as we speak,

Queensland's playing in South Wales. It's been interesting start, but can we just zero in on Queensland Victoria from this? Marners Lavershane ball in the last over, which I think was questionable in itself. I like the idea that there's players that are away doing other things for Australia, I and Australia. It gives a chance to blood the next generation of show cricketers and domestic cricketers. Limp Blackford, Victoria was four for 14, chasing 335 and they won with a ball to spare. That's all time sort of stuff on De Buu. Yeah, I mean, how to become an overnight sensation. Like, to the fact that he was making the news at such a crucial part of the business end of the Fodisees in Crossball all-codes, kind of tells you how special the ratings was firstly, but, you spoke about the importance of the one-day cup. I remember we used to get so excited when we used to get the one-day cup live in India maybe 25 years ago, because obviously we didn't get shield cricket back then back there. But yeah, that's where I first discovered Shane Watson,

a young Nathan Bracken. So many around Australia have discovered Liam Blackford, including, I guess, people within cricket, Victoria or Victoria in cricket, because we really not heard much about him at all, but he only applies because Sam happens to why. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, I mean, the best 35 cricketers in men's cricketers in Australia are away here or there. So yeah, he gets his opportunity and yeah, you can't do better than that in a game that, you know, it was played at a time of the day as well when everybody was watching. I mean, Will Sutherland got 100 as well, so they were completely out of the contest and 149 not out and 113 balls. How many sixes were there? Blendy. He's hardly regarded in Victorian grade circles, but it's a step up to go and play against a cricket. Yeah, do that on debut. A bit of a worry at the Wacker on September 20, a couple days ago when W.I. were bowled out for 115. So, okay, let's start with a positive Riley Meredith, four for 11 from eight overs. Tasmania bowled really well then one easily,

chased these runs down to 16 overs just one wicket down. But I'm not sure cricket with the Wacker in mid-September is the way to go. If the conditions are anything to go by or maybe just W.A. Baddapoli, a team that included test cricket, a heels and cart ride, former one day international cricket ashen turner, Cameron Bancroff, former test cricket ashenaiga, former test cricket, like this wasn't a terrible thing they put out. It wasn't and yeah, you wonder what happened there. I think ball, Webster got a couple of few wickets as well there. You got three for three. For three. So, yeah, maybe we're just one of those early season games where you know, the baddads just didn't come to the party. Can I just say the other thing? Other just a couple of takeaways from the washed out game. That's how the Australia, the mighty South Aussies. So good to see Henry Thornton amongst the wickets as well. I think he's quietly just doing his thing. Elevating himself. Elevating himself across format. So it's good to see. He's got that X factor about him. And how man Jake Fraser McGurk, he got runs. He was looking good. He looked like the Jake Fraser

McGurk of old. Tommy, we had him in the box during one of the T20s didn't we last year? We did. In South Australia. Yeah, in Adelaide. Yeah. And you know, he spoke about where his game was and how he wanted to come back the way he wants to. And yeah, I mean, just a glimpse and then the rain came. But just a few of his shots, it looked like, oh, this is the guy who we were all excited about two and a half years earlier. And people were campaigning led by the great Gerard Wettley to bring him into the T20 squad. So yeah, I mean, he's still young enough. So he can come back into the mix. But he's one of those forgotten men of Australian cricket. So it was good to see him. He's 46 not out from 33 balls before Ryan hit. And this, I love this South Australian team. So Jake, whether or all the three, also, I forgot man of Australian cricket. Henry Hunt at four. Matthew jokes. He's become over as well as five as the K-Pah. I'm not. I'm not just his body. I mean, he is a great story. I mean, Adam White and I interviewed him on the for the BBL podcast last summer. And neither of us knew

much about the story. He's just a kid from Mumbai, where I'm from, who was playing cricket there, felt like he needed a change, completely gambled on himself. He's moved to Adelaide. He started playing cricket. Tim Payne spotted him last year. Got him into the striker setup. And now he's got a central contract with South Australia. And he's playing across format. So that was his one day debut. He's sticking wickets. He's gunfielder. Yeah. Backs like all T20 or white ball cricketers do these days. So, yeah, I mean, it's a great story and good to see him come. It is a good story. And then Ben Menenti, the captain Italy's own. Yeah, a lot of the fact he's captain. He's got an excellent world captain. He's a common title. And then McCandry Thorns and Agar and Buckingham is an excellent ball in the United States. Yeah. I see how the striker is looking quite stable. Speaking of Jordan Buckingham, I bumped into him at a winery. This is a couple of weekends ago. And he said something to me, which kind of like, you know, as a South Australian fan made me very chuffed about what to look forward to as they look for the three-peat that really matters. The winning the Sheffield,

maybe third time in a row after having not done it for so long. And he said that their camp in Darwin was great. Like they were there and off season, caprice season camp and finally Ryan Harris got everyone together and said, this is the most and this more intensity with our training and just the energy around the team than we had even the last two years when they did win. So, if you're a South Australian fan listening to this and there are many back in Adled, I think there's something to feel very confident about as we head into this domestic season. We'll keep you abreast of all the state cricket stuff because we do love talking about that buzz. It is the niche element of the game for the wider sporting public but cricket fans don't miss much that's happening in state cricket and we'll be all over on the new ball. What's going on in Leicestershire? The groundsman of Bollywood. Tell us what's going on here, buzz. Well, the groundsman Leicestershire are struggling in terms of where they sit in the county championship. So, they've been docked at what 26 points if I'm not mistaken for Popich. Yeah, which meant like what,

19 points were withdrawn from their victory over Glamorgan and the eight point penalty. So, that's 27 points they've been docked and the reason that the groundsman's given his grace road where they play their home games. I'd been used for shooting a Bollywood movie. You know what Bollywood movie it is? What is it? The movie called Dada. It's the biopic of Saro Gangoli. Oh, really? That is right. It is, right? Saro Gangoli. The biopic of Saro Gangoli. Yeah, who's going to play Saro Gangoli? There's an actor called Ratchikumar Rao, I think. Hopefully he's a lieutenant badder who enjoys the grip coming off the top of his bat and holding it down live. Yeah, I mean, it's three points. I'm no Bollywood guy. It doesn't look like Gangoli. So, I don't know what prosthetics that they're going to use on him. But no, so they shot the movie and apparently according to the groundsman, the chief groundsman there, it was unscheduled and the shooting finished only four days before this game and he didn't have enough time. I remember going to Tundbridge Wells during the 2019

workup and they were shooting the 1983 movie back then where our own Ravi Shastri was featured by an actor he really liked. So, a bit going on there. In other global news, I mean, it involves Australia in a way because Australia and under 19 team are also in India, Tommy. Obviously, Australia, A, I've started their game earlier today in Puducheri, Pondicheri. So, that'll be good to keep an eye on. Just one thing on that. I think it's the right call that pay the hands comes to the captain and Nathan McSwainy just playing as a badder. I think that takes the pressure off McSwainy because pay the hands can be compliant in India. I want to fight out with him. McSwainy can also apply in India. Yeah, and we spoke about beta hands come before he's also there for his own sake, but he's also there as a senior statesman who can guide some of the other younger fighters. And how about this in the under 19 stuff? So, this is the fifth ball. Yes. And I saw this on Twitter and I'll this has to be on the new ball this way. So, that's just just take it away. I love it so so we have two very familiar surnames. Let's call it that. In walled in that Australia, India

under 19, don't I mean I mean it's T20 and ODI. Are you ready for this? So, I'm ready. Please try. So, are you aware of Sehwag? Oh, Sehwag. Who is the son of the great Virinder Sehwag? And Anwai Dravid who's the second son of Rahul Dravid because yet another son summit who played some cricket. I know. So, Anwai Dravid bats down the order, but I don't know whether Rahul Dravid ever managed to do this maybe in the IPL couple of times. So, 38 of 18 for Anwai Dravid and are you with Sehwag? Didn't battle like Sehwag? 28 of 26 in the T20. That's good enough. So, yeah, but obviously Sehwag is an opener and Dravid bats in the middle order. So, well, just when Australia thought we were done with Sehwag and Dravid looks like the next generation is coming through. Yeah, absolutely. And we've seen such in Tendukas, Stanbe, around the same in the IPL for a while now as a baller. Yeah, I mean Rocky Flintoff and Archivon and even Michael Atherin's son has been playing for a while. So, a lot of the second generation

cricket is coming through. Is there any Australia that stand out at the moment? You're testing me a little bit. I mean, I know the Brad Hadin's son is coming through well. I keep speaking to him about it quite often. Bucket Rogers, Chris Rogers's sons are playing as well. Son is playing as well. So, they don't. Those are doing their own. But sprinkling, Ricky Ponding's son. Yes. He's only 12. So, let's not put too much pressure on him early. But no, no, I'll be interested in how they all develop. Nicely done, Baz. That's five balls in this first over. Alex Carrick chooses a good-be-home battery that's delivered when it matters. You're in safe hands with a good-be-our favourite sequence up next. It's on this day.
