About this episode

“Life Audio Thank you for listening to Your Daily Prayer, where we help you find the words you need to connect to your Father in Heaven. No matter what is happening in your life today, you can trust that God wants to hear from you.”From the transcript

When God does a completed work in our lives, it is like a fine pearl. Some wear their pearls for all to see. Others treasure them quietly within the chambers of the heart. Both responses are understandable — the things God does in our lives are often deeply personal and sometimes hard to put into words. But what if the story you have been quietly holding is exactly what someone else needs to hear right now to keep going on their own faith journey?

Psalm 40:3 describes what happens when we share what God has done: He puts a new song in our mouths, a song of praise, and many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. The sharing of our testimony is never just about us. Philip's encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8 is a vivid picture of this — a man with genuine questions, a believer willing to share what he knew, and a baptism that followed on a road neither of them planned to travel together. After Philip was suddenly swept away to his next assignment, the eunuch went on his way rejoicing. One person's willingness to open his mouth changed another person's eternity. Our public praise matters to someone else's journey. The trials we counted as too far gone, the places we thought were too messy to share — these are often the very things God intends to turn into praise-filled hope for someone who is walking through the same darkness and desperately needs to know there is a way through.

Bible Verse

"He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD."
— Psalm 40:3, ESV

Ponder Today

  1. Your public praise matters to someone else's journey. The testimony you carry is not only a record of what God has done for you — it is a potential turning point for someone watching and wondering if God can do the same for them.
  2. The pearls God has given you were meant to be worn, not only treasured. There is a time to hold something close, but there is also a time to share it. God's works in our lives lose none of their value when they are offered to others — they multiply.
  3. Philip's willingness to share his faith moved a man to accept Jesus and be baptized. He did not wait for a perfectly prepared setting or a formal invitation. He began with what he knew, from where the man already was, and God did the rest.
  4. The things we counted as too far gone are often what God intends to turn into someone else's hope. The messy chapters, the hard trials, the places that felt too broken to share — these are exactly the testimonies that reach people who believe their own situation is beyond redemption.
  5. God is working all things together for good — including the stories we have not yet told. Romans 8:28 is not just a comfort for the present. It is a promise about the future use of what we have been through. Surrender the tender places and watch what God does with them.

A Prayer for You Today

Father God, we thank You for the countless works, miracles, and pearls You have brought forward in our lives — the ones we readily name and the ones we may not even be aware of. Move us to sing a new song of praise unto You, a song that will invoke others to stop and listen, not from our greatness but from Your hand in our lives. Help us to see that You are the One who makes the final call upon every messy, confusing, and seemingly hopeless place in life. We pray for redemption and resurrection that only You can bring, so the very things we counted hopeless will become praise-filled hope for someone else, because of You. May our lives be a spectacle of what You can do, and fill us with the courage to sing, share, and celebrate these stories. In Jesus' holy name, Amen.

Sharing the story you were meant to share written by Callie Logan, read by Keri Aikberger. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Song Forwardy Verse 3.

Your public praise matters to someone else's journey. The works of God in our lives are holy, unique and at times deeply personal. The Lord once gave me a mental image. When He tests a work to fulfilment in our lives, it's like a fine pearl. Some wear their pearls for all to see and some treasure their precious pearls within the safety of the chambers of their heart. When we take the initiative to share such glories with others, we not only glorify His name, but also offer hope to those walking through their own faith journey in real time. God continually works as Jehovah Jaira, the God who provides throughout the Bible. In Acts 8, this proves true as God sends an angel to Philip, instructing him to speak with Ethiopian unique he meets on the road. Because of Philip's own experiences with the Lord, he knew not only has to provide

information, but also to offer a true understanding of the man's perplexing questions. In Acts 8, 34, we are given a glimpse of how the sharing of faith moved in man to come to accept Jesus as his Savior, the unique asked Philip, tell me please, who is the prophet talking about himself or someone else? When Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus, as they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the Unix said, look, here is water, what can stand in the way of my being baptized, and he gave orders to stop the cheerio. Then both Philip and the Unix went down into the water and Philip baptized him. Out of this, God suddenly sweeps Philip up into another assignment, providing an astounding miracle story for Philip and the Unix to share. It said that the new believer went on his way rejoicing.

In the same way, we can look to the words found in Psalm 40 verse 3. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Philip sharing your testimony, praising him publicly and wearing your pearls for all to see is something that will prove pivotal in another person's own path. Let's pray. Father God, we thank you for the countless works, miracles, and pearls you have brought forward in our lives. There are the ones we readily name and the ones we may not even be aware of that you have done in our lives. And to the sum of the whole, we first and foremost offer a hearty thank you. Lord, move us to sing a new song of praise unto you, a song that will invoke others to stop and listen, to be bewildered and amazed, not from our greatness, but from your hand

in our lives. We know that life can be messy and confusing, and we can often count such trials as too far gone. So help us to see that you are the one who makes the final call upon such places in life. Would we pray for redemption and resurrection that only you can bring so that very things we can at hopeless will become a priest of hope for someone else one day because of you. We surrender these tender places in our lives unto you, and we rejoice even now knowing that you truly are working all things together for good. May our lives prove to be as spectacle for all the world to see just what you can do, and may we be filled with courage to sing, share, and celebrate these stories. We praise you, Lord, in Jesus' holy name, amen.
