Ladies and gentlemen, you are getting ready to experience an incredibly beautiful sunrise this morning as it comes up now nice, nice, nice sky. Hi there, my name is Phil Williams and thank you Lord for this sunrise and all of that. Hey, yeah, it's going to be lovely. We are going to be a little warmer today at 86 then 88 tomorrow and Friday and Friday late. Man, unfortunately, the weather, the rain forecast is for like maybe during the high school games and the Tennessee game on Saturday. It clears out Sunday and then next week looks not. Next week mid seventies looked great again, but we've got a warm spell coming through and that brings some I guess a little more humidity and chance of rain and everything. But what I'm seeing here and the only thing I'm gleaned from it, it doesn't look like

thunderstorms, it looks like more rain and they'll play a football game in the rain. Yeah, yeah, and you got to hang on to a wet football. And I assume that just painful and the Tennessee people will they prepare for that. I mean, you kind of got to wet them down. I mean, you've got a practice in that. That's the way that works. I'd buy seven oh nine. Another chance to get to qualify for the deck system from Phoenix conversions. As I said, we'll be there tomorrow. They're going to be celebrating. I'll tell you about tomorrow. I'm hoping there's going to be snacks there, Landon. I think there will be anyway, we're going to be there tomorrow. I'll be distracted because of all the stuff in there at Phoenix conversions and but also you have a chance to qualify for the season tickets for the Broadway at the Tennessee. I've been doing questions about the road Broadway and I may do that again today. Yeah, we are live and local baby here.

Phil show on news talk 987 W. Okay, I, I, well, I love you. Nothing you can do about it. I look forward to about an hour to talk with Neil Denton from the University of Tennessee Agriculture Extension Department. We talked to Neil for if it grows, he knows plus I get to tell Neil about an exciting task that I think I'm going to do today. Now, this is a once a year thing. And it's not aeration. It is cleaning out the shed. I recently re-did my garage shop area and I moved a bunch of stuff up to the shed. So today I got to go, okay, I'm donating this. I'm taking, I got to, I got to really, it's a neat chainsaw. That's a gas chainsaw. I'm going to take it to calm or to habitat, probably habitat.

Somebody like that that they can use it because he's been sitting there and I'm not using it. And nothing wrong with it. I guarantee a lot of us got stuff like that into the shed or somewhere that's like, wow, I haven't used that. And for me, for me, it's almost, I'm not a hoarder. I don't think, but it's sometimes difficult to let things go. You know, I'm that guy who the guy with the insurance company says, you know, don't be like your parents or whatever. I'm that guy. I'm thinking, dang, that's a good box that Amazon, I'm going to save that box. No, you're not. And I normally don't win the arguments, but yeah. So there's that. About seven, 12 landed and you're going to fly down to the mouse at some point this month. Not this month. Oh, I thought he was. Okay. No. Okay. I thought you were going to go vacation a week before me or something. No, I'm going to Vegas to go see my family. Yes. Okay. You're going to find a, that's right. You're flying to Vegas. Okay. Yeah. All

you're fine. Uh-huh. Just renewed my TSA pre-check. There you go. Best money I've ever spent. Yeah. Ringing indoors. It's not a paid endorsement, but I will, I will scream from the rooftop. Get that TSA pre-check worth every cent. Now, you and I, and I think we talked about this before we've never really been on a flight where an event happened. No, we have not. I would love to keep it that way. See, I, you know, they're getting naked women running up and down the hall and they're like, I'm new. So listen to this. Boeing 737 max eight flight FZ 1073 carrying up to 180 passengers. Many Israeli citizens flight tracking data shows the plane's first transmitted squawk code 7700. That means general emergency squawk code 7700. And later 7500. That means possible on lawful interference. So what the guys on

the ground think it's getting hijacked. Turns out it was the pilots getting in a fight, a physical fight. What? Yeah. One of them allegedly said he was going to hijack the plane. The other one and one said stab the other one. Oh my God. Oh, yeah. And so under 30 seconds of plane drops from 14 to 13,000 feet. Boom. Nobody's flying a plane or fighting. Yeah. Oh, any emergency signal comes out. They had to divert over Jordanian airspace and land. They landed safely. Nobody evidently was hurt. I say bring that thing out into. I say bring it out into the aisle and let people cheer and fight it out. Put it on autopilot. And let's fight this out. You know what I say? Do your job and fly the plane. So guess what? What? They they put those, you know, squawk codes out. Israel scramble fighter jets. Oh

my gosh. And convene the emergency security meetings. Now when many Netanyahu his office confirmed that he was not a hijacking, but a cockpit altercation. People calm down. Oh, it's just a cockpit alter. That's all just couple of just a couple of pilots fighting one one to hijack. The other one to stab the other guy. Oh my gosh. I mean, like I said, I had never been on a plane when that happens. But now ladies and gentlemen, the brand, the newest affair is your pilots getting into a fight. Mm hmm. You're gonna your accident plane. Thanks for flying. Thanks for. Bye bye. Bye. I'll buy you. I won't fly. Bye bye or do buy again. Felt show news talk 987 W. OK. I never said who won the fight either. Hey, here's

I mean, he wanted to get a message to his wife, girlfriend, whatever. This is one of the few songs that Robin sang lead on that thing. Yeah. No. Christian Gale Pock now.

And about three and a half hours, I guess. And I can only imagine. I mean, no, I can't. I can't imagine what is going through. Um, her head. Christ the Gale Pock, she said no to her fine to a final meal to, you know, I guess you just eat whatever I would. Said no to that final special meal. And it appears there will be no interference from the governor. And they will proceed with 11 o'clock central. No, 10 o'clock central. Excuse me, 10 o'clock central. And yeah, what should be 11 o'clock here? She will be given the needle.

And I don't know how that works either, but I imagine it's probably, when they shoot me with something, you know, they put a little lighty cane on and a big stick coming. I doubt those. So I don't know if they say that too or not. Anyway, um, that's today. That's today. Look, why don't they do this a long time ago? The grace of God be with her. I just don't know why they didn't. I mean, you, you look at the heinous crime, the carving up of this young other victim in the pentagrams that I go, why didn't this a long time? If you're going to do it, do it. We take way too long. 86 is going to be the hindered day. 86 a beautiful morning. Now we got to get through three days of a little more heat,

three, four days a little more heat. Then Monday, I mean, we get back into 70s again, the overnight Lasgood cooler. We are in fall, but we are getting a little bit of a warm, uh, a warm spell today. A warm spell on this chewing gum day. It's also ask a stupid question day. And I'll ask a stupid question later for you to qualify for the season tickets to Broadway at the Tennessee. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I news this morning that I don't know I think this should have gotten bigger, bigger, bigger headlines. You know, a lot of people out there, I, I am not one, but there are people who are hot pocket efficient autos. And if you are a real hot pocket fan this morning, you are mourning the death

of the classic crisping sleeve. I mean, it's part of the experience. It is. I mean, that thing is starting in there. You're on the, and you put it in the, the denger there, and you nuke it. Uh, and then it dings when it comes out and oh, oh, boy, is that sucker hot? Yeah, you're, you're ready to go and burn the inside of your mouth in the middle of its cold. Anyway, uh, but this TikTok is going super viral. Oh, not just viral, but super viral. Wow. Where a guy says, I know we're in an economic crisis right now, but I have a thing for a hot pockets. He has a thing for, he has a thing for, and he says, they don't even come with a pocket anymore just with a hot. See, here's what's happening, man, you can't afford the pocket anymore. So you got to ro dog is staying in the microwave. I'm right. Well, in this economy, you are a ro dog in the hot pocket in the denger. Yes, no more

of the silver crisping sleeve that you've always placed the hot pocket inside while I was heating up. My gosh. Of course, using the thing, it's been gone for a while. I started phasing it out in 2023. They even had a marketing campaign about it being retired. Well, I'm just going to be honest with it wasn't very good or I would have known about it. Right. Morning, Joe, but we wouldn't know about it. Now, at the time, this is what they said, we've adjusted our crust recipe. So our sleeve, so the sleeve is no longer needed. They also said there's about 30% more pepperonian. I got to be honest. I'll get you to get it cheaper for him. You know, that's a thing. There's some silver in that, but there's some sort of metal in that sleeve. You know, plus a lot of paper waste, tons of it. So why can't it off this sleeve not even been around for years? So the guy in the TikTok is clearly he is not hot pocket. I mean, he's just

hot pocket casual. Am I right? I mean, big pocket is is is is let this thing go. He's not a true one. No, but since he put this out, people are outraged. See the pocket is what holds the filling not to sleep. The pocket is really what was holding us together as a pocket. Uh-huh. But now there's no longer a sleeve. I just don't know. Uh, it's not the latest victim of the economy. It was a while back. Ladies and gentlemen, this house could get egged this Halloween. We've got stupid news coming up. Yeah. Yeah. Yes, just doing a little chair dancing on a beautiful morning. I going up to about 8586 today.

And we're still in the 50s, but it it's not as cool as this morning as it has been. Next week, though, we'll start cooling off again. However, we got to go by four days of 80s and a chance to rain late Friday for high school football and Saturday, right? In the middle of the Auburn game. Now if there's no lightning, they gon play football in the rain. And I have sat in Neal and stadium in the rain for a couple of games. It's actually, you know, one thing about it is because everybody around you is feeling the same thing. It's not as bad, you know. Yeah, I mean, fewer. The only one would be horrible, but since everybody else is experiencing the same thing you are, it's not as bagged. Uh, but that is, uh, indeed, what is going on. Neal didn't come up in the eight. Can't wait to talk to him. How I have any, do if I aerated it in and over seated last year, do I need to do it again this year? Or how often do I need to do that? Because this is the season for that. This thing with honey suckle here that's

invading this other thing. I know I got to pull a honey suckle out, but if I just want honey suckle, which I think is okay. Uh, and then the bees and everything else get on it. I like that. Is it tight? Cause some of it looks dead at the bottom. Can I trim it? Whatever. Uh, you may have a question. If it grows, he knows. Here's the telephone number eight six five eight five five, eight two five five. That's an eight five five eight two five five call or text. That's the line to call or text. I that's the main line. We didn't want to change the number. The phone company said you got to do it. Yeah. Big deal. But it's the same, you know, a bunch of crazy people here. And we have a problem. I mean, change the phone number is no big deal. It happens. eight six five eight five five eight two five five. What we got a problem with is the things way the parking lot. Landon has, uh, I am asked this morning because of this. That's irritable man syndrome. That's the real problem. Is it? No. We've got a new guy. He's a new person

over at the sports animal. Everybody here, John Wilkerson, Nancy, uh, Carly, uh, uh, Joey and the all of us who are radio personality, we park at the same place. We have our parking place. We are kind of like athletes were superstitious creatures of habit that too. I mean, I know it's a comfort thing or something. I don't know what it is. But now we've got a new guy who keeps messing up the parking lot parking, uh, at the wrong place, which forced you today to park at a different place. I'm not even parked facing the right way. No, you're it's, uh, uh, I don't know if I'm going to be able to find my way out of the parking lot. I leave today. We're going to pray. Uh, please do. And we take you to the last time this happened, I think Jim, uh, Pemberton, Jim Kelly. I think he was the one that told the guy, look, you need to park

us. Uh, so are us. All right. And uh, people talk about this. They're going, well, that's not, I mean, it messes it up. It, it, it, it, believe it or not messes with you. Mm-hmm. Perhaps it shouldn't, but it does. But that being said, do we do an intervention with everybody or does somebody like, unfortunately, maybe it's my turn, go to him and say, look, um, you're doing a good job. You got me, you got to get a star with all we hear you're doing a great job when you show up on time. Hitting with the sandwich. Oh, yeah. You hit him when you know, compliment critique compliments. That's it. Yeah. And you go, look, uh, here's what you need to do. Maybe you need to park behind Nancy. And that's your parking place. We're going to get that's what she's, we're going to give you that parking place. Yeah. Congratulations, bud. You made it. We want it. Yeah. So that's how you do that. Uh, mm-hmm. All right. If the grocery knows, Neil, didn't come on up in the eight right now, top of stupid news.

You have a double. Oh, there's a button. You're doing the meaning. Singing sweetly. Stupid news. Stupid news. Yeah. This is your, this is, I mean, nobody can, you know, and it, yeah. All right. Here we go. You know, flock cameras, you have been in the news. The flock cameras. Uh, you, the firm against them, whatever, and people go, oh, this is a violation of my privacy. Same people don't use signal lights. I think it's none of your business where I'm going. Maybe, maybe not. I don't know. Uh, and it doesn't matter. Uh, uh, the CEO of flock. Evan Ellie takes his privacy just as seriously as everybody else.

People take privacy seriously, which is why a lot of people hate the flock cameras. The CEO flock. A man named Garrett Langley has his own home blurred on Google map street view. Hmm. Hmm. Now, there is one thing to be upset, but it's another to get the petty revenge, which I respect. Uh, people in line have apparently labeled his home now as a, quote, public toilet on the maps. I respect that. Well, that's not saying it's petty, but it's my type of petty. Well, there you, uh, he's meant to that. Naturally, probably it's not going to last long. Uh, uh, yeah. It was a user submission so they don't verify it. But, you know, although he's being doxed people are just, you know, working off a previously circulated to dress. I don't even know

if it's his house and then it's not 100% clear in any event. It does not stop there. Some people, some people are dropping harmless threats like the internet backlash is honestly poetic justice. Why do tech executives think privacy rules only apply to them? And here's what quote endless surveillance for no good reason feels like. And of course, a lot of people go, well, be ashamed if he gets agged or TPed on Halloween. Hmm. Hmm. By the way, too. And I don't know if you know this or not. Places where there are flock cameras. According to a new report, uh, drivers with loud exhaust could get fined as cities are pairing noise detectors with the license plate readers. Now that's also applies to loud steeringels. And Connecticut,

$100 fine for first defenses. Damn. Uh huh. Yeah. Wow. Put that in the airport. You got a whole new tax base people on tell you what. All right, coming up Pilates idiots and all that's up, man. We got a whole lot to get to on this show. I kneeled in the eighth leader, the Phil show on news talk 98 seven. Here's Sherry with traffic. Your next meal just got more rewarding. Here we go. Are you a little bit, a little bit, baby. Good morning. Thank you Lord for a tremendous day. You want to call Neil Denton coming up? You got a question? I know I got a bunch of them. All you do. You call 865-855-8255. Yeah, that's 8255 is the same. 865 is the same. But the 855 in the middle is what changed. We didn't want to do it. But the telephone company said they would come

to our home and kill our dogs if we did not. So we decided to save these dogs. And if you put this in the memory of your phone, now you're saving animals. Am I right? All right, it's alive. But still, I mean, that's where the change feels drastic. It does. All right, great to have you. I love you. Not a thing you can do about it. My name is Phil Williams. We are looking at a beautiful day. Now we expect some rain late Friday and Saturday, right during ball games. So just letting you know about that. Now I, well, I'm a genius. I get that. I'm a genius. But I'm also an opportunist. No longer do I play golf as well as I used to. I'm getting baits coming back. I get that's coming back. But I don't get to play guitar. You know, with a hand injury. I've had all this, you know, this these mallets, stupid things. I thought my heart would give out long before now. And it's like, nope, going to play a trick on you. We're going to make your body hurt. So, you know, I look for

things because I like to be outside, I'd like to be active. I'd like to do things. You know, landed right now. That water's cooling off. I'm not saying it's cool enough for topwater, but it's cooling off good time to fish. And I just learned the other day that law enforcement helps out. I think it's great. Three or four through 12 and others help out with fishing teams for like elementary, middle schools, high schools. You know, they got college, you know, it's some of the high school fishermen that they get scholarships for fishing. Digging it. Now so this is on one of the triplets radar. I'd kind of like because he likes to fish. Now they have to have a partner. Like let's say he's in fourth grade. He has to have a partner that's like in this sixth grade eighth grade something like that. They have a path of a partner. And they have to have an adult with a boat with a troll motor, live whale, things like I don't know about forward

facing sonar, but they can legally fish with the forward facing sonar. This generation they see the fish. They see their bait. They can catch it because they've grown up in video games. That's why they're being so successful. And they can actually use it in tournaments. I don't know about college, but I know they can't at high school. Now look here. They have to have an adult with a boat. You see where I'm going with this. Well, you don't have a boat. You don't pass as an adult. Well, I think I can, hey, I think I can get, well, I think I can get both of those. You're more likely to get a boat than pass for an adult. Oh, and I'll do that. And in my, I was like, why did you buy the boat? Well, I just bought that because of the kids. That's the only reason I, as I said, I am an opportunist. And there would give me great pleasure to go out with kids and fish. I remember how it was with my daddy took me. I think it's a great thing. You're blaming getting a boat on the kids. I'm not blaming it. I'm using it as an opportunity so that I can be a giver. It can be two things, Phil. It can be. And I would be a giver.

And the kids can operate the troll motor, not the boat, but I'd flat-thumb back the seats. Let's do an idiot of the day if we can here. I think, uh, maybe I am a genius. No, an opportunist. That's what I am. I don't want you. Maybe you're right. There's no excuse for speeding recklessly. But I guess some excuses are better than others. That's old boy is a motorcycle scooter, uh, feller in Virginia. Cops pulled him over for speeding. He was going, well, ridiculously fast 72 to 25 zone. That's a lot. Almost three times the speed limit. Well, the local police there in Virginia just released a body cam footage from the traffic stop. And you could probably find it on the getter where if you looked hard enough. Uh, it includes the man saying, quote,

well, I was moving a little too quick. I wasn't. Well, no. And the cops said, yeah, I'm way too quick. And the man has spotted, I'm sorry. I was trying to hit the McDonald's breakfast. He noted he woke up late and didn't even have socks on. Yeah. Trying to hit the McDonald's. See, I thought that they served it all day. I haven't any of it. They don't. Not nationwide. All right. Cops said, first thing is going to fly off that bike sun as you. 72 somebody pulls in front of you. Young man, you're done. Poo. Not to mention the other drivers in pedestrians that was putting at risk for the fast food fix. More. I mean, the officer got on him. I hit her up with a ticket for reckless driving. Probably also did not get a make muffin. Got imagined not. I still like the make muffin. Oh, it's a good. I mean, back in the 70s, I was eating the make my love love love the make muffin. Speaking of that, a teenage McDonald's employees in Ohio paid for a stranger's dinner. After the customer realized he'd left his wallet

behind. So I didn't. I forgot. So the next day, the customer contacted the local lose to share the story. The TV station tracked him down. They surprised him at work with a bunch of restaurant gift cards as a thank you. For his active kindness. You know, something you got to, if you do that today, you, if you, if you, if you lead with love, if you do that, pass that act of kindness on, you never know what good thing, what good things could come your way. Yeah. All right, Phil show coming up. Neil Denton from the University of Tennessee, I extension department digs into dirt, 865, 855, 8255, if you want a text, or college, either one, that's the same number. It's new, but yeah, it'll still get there anyway. So we'll do that and find out. You know, you know, if it grows, Neil knows, hang on.
