No! No! 20th century studios presents the most incredible survival story of the year. I think we'll help out there! We'll fall on October 16th to survive the unthinkable, do the impossible. You're gonna become so dangerous that the predators can't help but let you go. We're gonna get out of here. We got it fall! We got it fall! We'll fall, we're at PD 13 and theaters on October 16th get tickets now. I have a question for all of you folks. Is this the Bahrain Grompry or the Malaysian Grompry? And when we walk into the Sepang International Circuit, do we speak in Arabic or in Malaykonal? What is going on here? What is the official name of this race? It's the Bahrain GP in Malaysia hosted at the Sepang International Circuit. And in all of these confusions, the one good thing that's really positive for us, for Formula 1, is that the race is happening at Sepang. Sepang is back on the calendar, the original Tilket Drome Somal,
one of the first purpose-built racing venues in Asia hosted 17 races from 1999 to 2017. And now it's finally back even if it's a one-off. That's there and Sepang all along has still been racing a lot of international series. So it's not a circuit that's been lying in the Bahrain International Circuit. It is a circuit that's actively hosted other forms of motorsport and now finally Formula 1. And just like with any other Formula 1 driver or any F2 driver trying to make it a Formula 1, case in point Franco Collabinto, if life gives you one opportunity, you take it and you run with it. And that's what I know Sepang is going to do because this is an awesome circuit. As you mentioned, Gunal, a Tilket Drome, one of the better ones. It really is amazing. It's a technical challenge given how hot it is. It's a physical challenge given how humid it is and the surface is fun. Lots of overtaking opportunities and to top it all off Gunal, it comes to a country that deserves it. I absolutely feel that Malaysia is one of the underrated countries in the world of motorsport.
Simply for the amount of passion they have and how versatile their racing ecosystem is, how you can race bikes, you can race cars, touring cars, Formula 4s, anything the country has to offer. And how they are ready. They took the big bet to take F1 away Gunal at the start of this generation and now they are back. And you know, just a final thing to add on to this. When we had the last Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang, the logo for Formula 1 was different to what we have now. Is it totally different time? Yeah, there's lots of these tweets coming out that when Sepang race last, Lewis Hamilton was still only a five time, four time world champion. Max, which was a step and had won just one race, Fernando Alonso was with, wasn't it McLaren Honda at that time? Yeah, still a rookie. Still a rookie. And of course it's been that long and I love that we are going to a new circuit. I love this whole, let's take a circuit, let's brand the race, whatever we want to brand and let's create this cultural experience at the race,
which is from the host venue. So the host venue is actually Bahrain, just that they were rented out Sepang. And I think it's a great new business model that Formula 1 is unlocking. I know I've said this before, India has rented the world. Is it great though? The Indian Prime Minister is much loved. He's going and hugging friends and heads of states all around the world. So if it's difficult for the Indian Grand Prix to happen in India, let's take the Indian Grand Prix to South Korea. And then let's take the Indian Grand Prix to other parts of the world, where they are deserving circuits. Make it India, Kunal. Come on, you're not getting the memo. You have to bring the South Korean Grand Prix to India. And that's how we can maybe get a race back. For real, as much as I don't like the nonsensical idea of having a race in one country, organizing another, I know it's a lot like the Luxembourg Grand Prix. I have this so far away. But whatever, whatever it is, let's, we should also take a second to clarify what this also means operationally, right?
Because a lot of people may think, oh, it's just a naming thing. But Bahrain is also going to help out with a few marshals. I've seen a few Bahrainian crew come down to the race track. They're going to pay for a lot of the stuff. They get the hosting fees from Formula One. So they essentially are hosting fees, but all the revenues collected and they have to pay the hosting fees. So that's how it works. They'll still earn the money. And they're paying the track just for having the track. And any additional facilities that they have to provide, like garages or any extra men, labor, anything like that. Every additional facility for that matter, right? Look, all the garages, all the equipment, life timing, grandstands, whatever you call it, whatever it would take for Formula One to host the race in Bahrain. Now, Sepang in Malaysia is providing all of that. So there is no compromise. And like you rightly pointed out, Bahrain promoters are actually paying to rent the circuit. Upgrade the circuit, get it homologated. So that's happened. And then Bahrain is paying off the race promotion's fee for hosting the race in Malaysia.
Which to me is the strangest advertising solution ever in the world. It's like, you can't come to Bahrain. Don't worry, but you come to Malaysia, which we are just calling Bahrain for a five-day period. Yeah, let's take a step back. What does Bahrain get? Right? Bahrain is doubling their expenses. They have a Formula One team in the form of McLaren, which by the way Bahrain owns the country. Yes, I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the sovereign wealth fund, exactly. So that, but is it really that bigger for reputational damage? Can all not to have a race now that even Saudi has had the race taken off? I'll actually put it the other way. Maybe it's a flex. Don't worry, you can't come to us. We'll meet at a third place. Is it it worse? It is worse. It is worse. But depends how you see it. I personally feel if I was a Bahrain national and I'll be like, yeah, yeah, we're hosting a Grand Prix, but not here. It's 6,000 and 4 kilometers away. In another continent, it's not even, I mean, it's puzzling, but you know, it's all about...
There's a comparison. You remember, Kunal, 2024 Olympics, when France hosted it. They did just organize it in Paris. There's an island somewhere in South America that France colonized way back when. They're also hosted, what a bit. So maybe we have some companies, not too bad. Those are obscure companies. This is an... And you know, at least France will say that's still a sovereign part or at some part was a sovereign part of the French. But here it's just a completely different arrangement. And I couldn't think of why else because maybe they want to keep the slot on the calendar. Maybe they just want to show that we love Formula One. We want you all to go racing. We want the races to be 24. That's what... Yeah, and that's what we're going to say. Anyway, hosted. We'll be able to hosted it in both international circuit, I'd be called. Because there is nothing else that... Firstly, we don't know if fans have actually landed up in Manama Bahrain thinking it's the Bahrain Grand Prix there. Of course, the memes on the internet say that Ferrari has probably sent some food there, which is a little harsh.
But anyway, so it's the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. I have commentary duties this time. I'm pretty sure I'm going to mess that up. So I'm going to have to practice that a few times. But it is what it is. So you have a great circuit. And that great circuit is going to be new-tired as far as I understand. So I'm all because... Or what you said, it's hot. It's human. It's a lot of fast corners. Right? And it's a lot of long-states as well. So when you think of the stool of them back to back. So energy management is going to be extremely crucial. And teams haven't driven here since 2017. So not only have they not driven last year's cars. They've not driven the last four e-tas of Formula One cars. So a lot of Friday practice running is going to be down to correlation. It's going to be down to who nails a setup, especially with energy management. And I get a feeling those high-speed bends, which Malaysia's... You know, SEPANG has been known for. We'll be down to just driving at the lowest minimum speeds.
You're not burning through all that energy. But I finally think we're going to see your year. So you will see your year into the last corner. Then they will recharge or whatever through the happen. And then you will see your year back onto the main straight into turn one. So we didn't see your year in Baku because everything inside Baku was still energy rich. It was just the main straight that was energy poor. But I get a feeling when you have two straights back to back. You're going to get to see what we saw in Munza. So that's what it is. That will happen first short. And also the track is wide. Lots of space to enter. Different zones where you can go around. Turn one, two, three section is beautiful. Like Shanghai, but with less camber. In fact, the opposite side of dips down and then comes at you. That's for sure. But then again, in a case like this, if someone manages to break the pack and run away, that is it. So I also feel that because at this circuit, unless it's raining, which I hear some forecast say it is something. It's not not too sure yet. But there will be thunderstorms.
It just depends at what time. But that will impact data collection or at least relevant data collection. And imagine this Somal. 16 races. We don't know what the wet. The wet modes are going to be like with power and we had the likes of Pya Gasly. Oh my god. I don't know what it's like. It's very scary or it's a lot of power. So 16 races been completely dry. You go to the one circuit where you have no historical data or relevant. And then suddenly it's like, hey, guess what? When it rains at power, there you go. You've got a wet circuit. Yeah, nicely done for slipping that one in. That's it. That's the perfect way to describe when it rains at post because the energy management will be key here. I don't even want to think about it. I think it's better when you don't know. As the fanatomically sort of alluded to when he said that new fans don't care when the drive is lifting or when they're hosting such. I think ignorance is the super clip is. It's not a super version of a head clip. Guys, trust me, even if that's what trying to forget that word. It's I'm going to pretend it doesn't even exist.
Because there's one thing you said, which is very wonderful, which is that the track is actually very wide. It's between 16 and 22 meters at most parts of the circuit, which means you can take various lines through corners, which actually gives me a lot of hope that when you're driving through the low path of least energy resistance, if I call it that. Will there be multiple lines while you're saving energy that somebody will just drive around the outside or take you down the inside and so on. Which could just make for a good spectacle, even if it's not what motorsport should be all about. Anyway, that's for you know, we have to forget 2026 record put that asterisk there. And this could well be that corner can where drivers will complain and we will say in the in the post-trace show some will that you're a formula one type rated driver. You just have to drive around F1 machinery or not really racing it. Yeah, I hope that's not the case. I want to see real racing soon. At least sepang will give us a minute. That's for sure. Am I always so certain about it? It's just the things we mentioned.
Technicality is that circuit is just designed to have this and there's going to be heat and humidity. Will we see engines exploding these power units and and what could come of them because sepang and Singapore very humid races in themselves. So that could also be additional reliability concerns. Remember earlier in the season Mercedes batteries were going and we are in the midst of a title battle, even if it's just a 66 point difference. Are you a lunatic or something? No, I'm just trying to say that if reliability becomes a concern over the next two races because of the weather, you never know if it's entrepreneurial you get a retirement and then suddenly you're back to striking distance in some way not not saying that he should or he would. But we are in those races where reliability is also a factor even if it wasn't in some of the races before. Yeah, you're totally right and that sparked a thought in my head, which is why I tried to like sort of get get you to allude to something.
I was thinking of 2016. This is exactly what's happened. I'm a series power unit that gave way in the middle of a title fight in the heat of sepang and that costless Hamilton big time. I'm not not not trying to waste padlock upon anyone. I'm not trying to sort of draw patterns. I say this will happen, but it has happened. Well, that's that makes us take the first question. Can Russell start a win streak from your as he clearly showed what prime Russell is like now imagine he actually starts that winning streak and there are reliability issues or is prime Russell going to derail the otherwise cool Kimmy and to Nelly we've seen till now somebody who's not felt the pressure. But we've got to remember pressure will come pressure has always come when there is a driver chasing their first world title and I'm going to read out some numbers about drivers chasing their first world title because when that pressure comes and it is come for which happen it is come for
for sorry it is come for which happen it's come for wetless come for Hamilton is come for Schumacher all of them so Kimmy right and one is first world championship in 2007 with one point Lewis Hamilton in 2008 with one point Jensen button in 2009 with 11 points Rossberg one it in 2016 with five points next we're step in one it in 2021 with eight points and land on Norris last year one it with two points so when it comes to winning your first world championship it is the hardest from a pan machine strategy and everything point of view well that is a panger canal that is a great one that is unreal thank you I must say it's my friends and colleagues that I play making notes and we're preparing for the grand three weekend and I said that is a brilliant stat to come up with that when it comes to your first world championship it is not easy even if you're in the most dominant car.
However has there ever been a season like 2026 before there's a caveat to think about we've never seen cars like this we've never seen like this we've never seen a 19 now 20 year old person drive like this it is yeah let's see 66 points isn't it the gap between Russell and Antonelli right now Hamilton is now further further behind he's falling away from this he's 103 behind it'll need a max like turnover and some full of Hamilton to be able to come back from here especially with the rounds that we have left and Ferrari as it stands sort of in fighting Leclerc slows up to Hamilton he's not too far behind as well so there's a lot of battling going on there but I expect to happen exactly that's what I was about to bring up there I say can all he spent the best of the rest in the last few rounds six podiums from eight grand prize and that's the most podiums for a driver who doesn't race from a saidies most podiums of any driver on the field so I love it so he's either been on the podium or he's at DNF's
okay so he had a DNF it's still this time as we know and then he had a DNF in some food as we know so he's either podium or go home that's amazing Red Bull have the best power unit internal combustion wise according to you know pure energy is going to be limited it will come to a point where you have to use your internal combustion engine only I mean I'm not entirely there'll be some boost available but the proportion of its importance increases at a circuit like this and plus can all red bull with their gigantic rear wing which we saw implemented in Baku are damn good at the streets when they have to be and the batteries working I like what I'm seeing here and they just need to get the best execution of the race weekend and Baku is something max where it happened and his dad team would say it was a it was an opportunity last had he been on the front row maybe it could have been a different race altogether so it will be the usual untonelly versus Russell Oscar versus Lando Max versus all of them Fernando versus the Cadillacs because he's you know he's of course renewed as the one counting down to his final race in Formula One unfortunately but so will
know that I called this right preseason in February in March we said there are two drivers under threat when it comes to their race seats it was Estabano con which you are really upset about when I took his name I'm still upset about and Nico Alkenberg who I am upset every time I say that name as well yeah it's it's a thing right midfield drivers just give you so much connection you just don't want to lose your midfield driver it's it's there's a story attached to it right there's a lower attached to it for Nico for you can now it's been your times of working with him and how much you've interacted with him and how amazing your bond is and everything that he's done as a substitute for me Estabano because he's kind of the last of the working class for me in the Formula One world like nobody has had it that tough from a financial point of view and you might say okay yeah still rich family they have able to go racing yes they had to travel around and and go to different places live alone with the family over there leaving home
aside but it's still not with him and Lewis it's different compared to let's say there was tapens of this world so it's at plus he's had to fight for it he's been resilient like is but taking out a Formula One a few times come back every time with yeah two times exactly and the Haas did this just weird I think he still has a lot of value to give is a race winner he is so you know we don't know if he's been kicked out because of his performances which is of course have been a contributing factor and it is we've got to take a few things in perspective you know at least I'd like to stay on the record so is he being kicked out of haas because he's not been doing well or is there a Formula 2 driver in the Ferrari Academy who Ferrari want to fast track to Formula One who could that driver be son of a falcomara exactly yeah and hence what is the issue with Ocon this year at Haas so firstly both drivers have said very categorically there are very few weekends when we've had the same calm it's just how Haas as a midfield team has operated and then the second challenge is that when Haas had a slightly half decent card score point it was all of a
huge is made the most of it but as the man who can't could not and then when Haas drifted away he was closed by the way he was close but you know that means nothing because your teammates is scoring all the points and then you're the one in the shadows and when the car actually drifted away from you know being a point scoring car it was too late and then every race it was like can I even get out of q1 and then in general we've just seen the pastery and Russell and now Ocon there are drivers who just seem to have struggled to adapt to this new era Formula One it's got nothing to do with driving talent it's just got to do with how you need to change and evolve your driving styles to match the energy star batteries every single lap and it's so interesting because there are some drivers who say you're always under the limit the open you know Alonso's and Max Rischt happens at the world you've been Alonso says that my chef could drive this car for example but Oscar Piazzi said in Baku that you actually need to drive this car 101% so there are so many conflicting ways that it's not just you just have to go flat out
there are question marks that if you go flat out your batteries want to get confused and then there are question marks that you just have to drive under the limit so that you're within the algorithmic requirements for driving a race car but that's just what it is so Esteban Ocon is out unfortunately it's a different kind of scale now but I still think Esteban has a lot to prove like it's a driver is not done just because they don't adapt to one type of car different like there have been ups and downs in every drivers career this guy is good I like that he's gritty he's fighting for it every time you come battling Esteban Ocon will fight you right from day one and that's the kind of character that you want in Formula One someone who's able to add a lot of color to the sport so I hope there's some opportunity around we'll obviously talk about him in more depth and the driver market but generally that means that that could be it and where could be coming for him he's you know Toyota's hopefully who's also a partner at has is going to be an easier switch for him to happen but I must relive this moment I had with Esteban Ocon when he was in a similar situation a few years ago
racing point was taken over was going to become a forcing never taken over was going to become racing point land stroll came for his seat if a stroll and Perez was staying on and Ocon was going back into nowhere this is when he took the break you're he became a reserve driver for Mercedes and then he came back to racing with Alpine as you remember so why am I actually stating this is Ocon was in the same situation and I had asked him a question would you race in another series and be competitive or would you race for the slowest team in Formula One even if it meant that you had no chances to do anything and at that time that team was Williams he's a conal I would race for the slowest team in Formula One he said I cannot be seen cannot not be seen in the Formula One paddock it is so important to be in the circus to keep talking to not go out of sight so he's a defective sub to me I would take up the option at Williams can you imagine so there are drivers who will do whatever it takes who I mean why is
check open as and Walter Bota's racing in Cadillac but also depends where you come from can all what you mean what's what your journey in the sport has been if it's about where you go from there know isn't it no two or degree like if if you keep that same offer to have a stop in the hammerton or a vettel or a look look at this point I don't think they take it up the example of a clerk all of them have kind of achieved what they set out for you you're right it's this is a non-world champion driver attitude I would assume that you you just will do what it takes to be in the paddock to be in that environment because you never know when the next opportunity unlocks like look at the case of Czecho Perez he was without a drive Sebastian Vettel came into the city was without a drive Nico Halkenberg was going to get that seat next to Max Wichtappin and then boom here comes Perez and he gets that drive so just being around for these midfielders is so crucial and then I was thinking which is the slowest team in Formula One
would Bota as a Perez as a partnership have they done enough shown enough where Cadillac would be like yeah we don't need Ocon or would they be like Ocon is actually somebody we can bank on just the way they changed you know Graham Loudon to Martin Butskowski just throwing it up there yeah now that's confused me about what Cadillac like would want to do and what their intentions are because not that you've changed your top manager within the season it makes you wonder what the direction of the team is and that's where concerns start to multiply if most such decisions start to come around is then you're like oh well okay like is this everything all right here like by which anything so much but Ocon's gone we'll talk about that more there's lots of chopping and changing we could see a situation where Christian Horner could also get his way to Ferrari I know I think on the on the likely on the likely meter canal where are you putting this because for me I think it's just a four or five on five on or ten I would say it's similar for five five say something I think more Christian Horner is doing is he's probably forcing Ferrari to rethink and maybe he's not trying to rethink
Friedrich was the worst position let's remember that he's just trying to say maybe you need somebody Ruth less lethal who is able to drive those things remember Sean Todd had a Luca demon Tessie mall with him much as he had a Ross Brown and a Michael Schumacher on a Roddy burn and whoever else so is he trying to position himself as the Versaurs boss as Luca the new Luca and Formula One charismatic well spoken knows what to say to the press keeps the Ferrari politics away from Friedrich was who are you never know that could be one of those things or is he just plain saying I need a job on the West Man for the job catch it off Friedrich was who are that could also be one of those things there's also you know so a caveat that I want to add or maybe you know Christian honor has been accepted as Alpines supposed new co-owner the 24% stake with a billion dollars that he you know brought from investors maybe that's accepted and this is Christian honor just trying to have some fun you never know
or he's realized that every other team including Alpines said no to him and his billion dollars so the last hope is Friedrich was who are failing and him getting that job so that's honor he's you know he's always played 40 chance this is his part of 40 chance and we have to question right for our one team that is gone and brought upgrades every single race for where is the underlying pace why were where is it it is just gone like the had a we see it in the valley here do you know good are you with the fireworks like there's a luxury bomb the one big big bomb or big upgrade that completely changes everything and there's a small up to bombs once you just throw around on the floor there the plenty for a number yeah they just pop like that don't do anything barely a crack very attractive everyone will turn around and look at it and be like oh wow that's something new but then they're not changing anything is that what's
happened with the Ferrari upgrades are it's possible could be first year and understanding the upgrade strategy and the car and the philosophy it's very complicated but three of the four top teams have figured it out they didn't say first year and so on so but I mean fair enough I mean you know far away when down the wrong road this engine was put into development as serious backup they're gonna have a new engine in 2027 so that's going everything added you know at their cars is no doubt in that they're busy they're keeping themselves busy they're bringing in all these upgrades trying to figure it out that are driver issues strategy issues and I'm hoping they do well I'm hoping Frederic was who gets a chance he's been very cheeky when he was asked will you get along with honor and you know how do you fancy your chances you like go speak to my assistant so his way of reminding what Mr Christian honor was up to at Red Bull not too long ago but I don't know I don't know what I what I feel about that or if it is down to just honor playing games but I love the fact that you know yet again there is there is a question mark on Ferrari and the team principle and the management is coming out every three months this is a cycle you know question marks on Frederick no no we are full trust for question marks on Fred no no we are not going to do it again
you know marks on Fred no no we are full trust it's like every three weeks there is a statement that Indian Grand Prix is coming back 27 no no no now it is 28 now there's a task for every three weeks there is some news so anyway this is every three months or statements on Ferrari seriously happens all the time all the time we'll see how that goes up but to close off Canal last few things we should talk about title battle mindset heading in obviously we come in with a special purpose in this race to see if Kimmy last time it gives you a different way of doing things obviously a process to prepare for the race remains the same but the way you approach it mentally that's the last one percent just how you do something or what energy you carry into it matters so much and for us let's positive energy heading in now although he is behind I wonder what it is and can Kimmy bounce back because he was not as strong as bonza sometimes you have a God complex developing where you do something so extraordinary you think you can do it again obviously he was confident and you have to be but maybe this is also a grounding list
that there is a way to go for Kimmy to see the championship there is and I think Kimmy also is a lot like Lando he's very open in the press like in Baku when he made the mistake he said maybe this is what I needed to come crashing back onto land and you know land on my feet come back down to earth so he's able to embrace that vulnerability that every champion has had and if you ask me I would love to see what sort of Kimmy shows up this weekend because we've seen ever since the summer break George Russell's not put a foot wrong this has been the vintage George Russell so can Kimmy step up to him and of course it's unfortunate that just after one driving error we're putting all the questions on Kimmy but we don't know if that driving error was he's saying it was misjudgment in grape we don't know if there was pressure we don't know if he was chasing the final tense because he knew George was always on the ball and he's not just been on the ball this race but for the last four races so I'd love to see Kimmy you know find his part tell us where he is and you know he's in that space he could be a couple of tents off still score all the points and still go there but as we've seen every champion including the maxes and Hamilton's and maybe Kimmy's also that mold is you don't want to just win by finishing races you want to win the championship by winning races by taking pole position so I'm up for all the trauma all the controversy all the all the all the you know all the more you say the the finger pointing and you know George not calling Kimmy by his name and you know referring to him as a teammate and so on I'm up for all of that why not it's a bit soft I'd like to see more a great
question but that's that's with everything but let's see a lando is going to be interesting to how aggressive can max be how close will he sack be because he was very close to max last week although it's a tie-off set but still you have to commend the fact that he was around so that's going to be very fun here watch Oscar also can all can you carry on the momentum can he beat lando again and what about Williams they've got new upgrade that they couldn't show properly I wonder if they have enough spares to bring those parts back in and and to carry on the development including upgrades and spares for lando norris because he got taken on by colapinto and you know we know we know what happened with that so we're in the middle of a triple header all of these are fly away races okay and if you're at he throw there's a good chance you'll see an F1 team walking with you know cargo just waiting to be shipped off sorry so that's just what you get so spares will always be a challenge and this is a very interesting circuit we still don't know who's going to favor lots of traction zones high speed corners high speed
straights as well but I believe Mercedes will be pretty much the car to bet on this weekend even though I think the others will be close or close enough so will Mercedes is bringing upgrades and the upgrade is not just their delivery this race weekend even if their delivery makes me look and feel from a distance that isn't that an Aston Martin that's racing on track because the color it's a it's a Petrona's colors it's their title sponsors home race right and then when you when you look at it from a distance you're like that's like the Aston Martin may has the Aston Martin just become so quick or is it Mercedes that's just brought upgrades that made it as slow as the Aston Martin that's what we shouldn't feel this race weekend yeah well it's to it's to work with Petrona's the home home sponsors for this the home company Patrona has been with Mercedes since day one like 2010 when they came on so it's a long standing relationship with Series AMG Patrona's Formula 1 team so there's a it is and one last piece of trivia which I know you the history bargain you will always love so number of occasions in which
the Grand Prix of a particular nation has been held in another country for four times this has happened San Marino Grand Prix was unable to be staged in the Republic of San Marino because of narrow roads so it was hosted by Imola okay and it was hosted there for 26 editions that's why it was San Marino Grand Prix in Imola okay yeah then the Swiss Grand Prix was held in France at Dijon yes okay then the Luxembourg Grand Prix has been held at the Nürburgring yes but when we look at distances the Swiss Grand Prix in Dijon was say 190 kilometers from Bern which is you know in Switzerland or when you look at San Marino it's about 120 kilometers but when you look at Seppang in Malaysia and the Sakir circuit in Bahrain it's 6,040 kilometers away
that's the anomaly and that's what is going to be so fascinating to see this week how does it work out how does the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia happen it'll be fun lots of Indians traveling there shout out to everyone going make sure you tag us on at inside line if one podcast or at Kunal Eshawar at Imola Rura we would love to see your stories and your experiences genuinely like share them with us no matter whatever country you're from and if you're going to the race we would love to react to that but you would also love to hear your predictions which is why we should get to that now Malaysian Grand Prix Kunal I am putting Max Fistappen for second and Danelli for the win Russell for third tough day for Faradis I'd say Faradis and McLaren is scrapping with each other the whole race wow you just delivered your predictions the way Fernando Alonso delivered his almost retirement message we've talked about Alonso's retirement we'll do that in a couple of minutes before we end but predictions I would say George Russell for Paul George Russell for the race when Antonelli will be second he'll be there and not thereabouts and we will have Max Fistappen
for third so you and I write that it's going to be Maseri's versus Red Bull Racing McLaren and Faradis will do their own thing but I get a feeling George is going to be on the ball he yet again and and Kimi is going to rise up he's not going to crash but he's just like I'm going to take some points and I'm just going to bank it in and feel more comfortable so that's where I'm going on that note what I love thoughts about Fernando Alonso's retirement message which was actually a contract extension message I didn't see the exact one I read the news that he's saying is there is there a special announcement video can one that's come up he sat down and he spoke of how many miles he's had and flown and raised and so on and then he said but that's for later right now I'm staying I'm extending and then they're racing so is it one year or two year it's it says it's been always multi-a but they're going to race for 2027 Alonso and Stroll and I'm just happy he's there I think he's really waiting for another carries on the launch troll error carries on could Esteban Okon go back to Aston Martin please please will Langstroll at some point put his hangar's
boots up it's going to be 10 years Kunal 10 years wow buddy up a good to see Fernando staying I I hope the team improves quick enough I hope they're not using him as a guinea pig I hope it's not another McLaren type scenario where as soon as Fernando Alonso leaves the team gets better and then few years later their world champions which is what happened with McLaren so I I'm hoping it goes the right way but yeah well let's see it should be a fun weekend overall guys make sure you subscribe to the inside line f1 podcast at Kunal Esha on x and at I am somal Aurora on instagram lots of stuff coming up Kunal's going to be in the commentary box for the fan code hindi f1 broadcast alongside chit and narula so if you watch your formula one in hindi that's the way for you to go to I'll be away I'll be chilling for a bit I've got one free weekend but more to gp that I'm going to cover this weekend so I'm going to be exciting but I hope all of you enjoy the Malaysian GP so the barring crowd theme Malaysia and we'll be back for the review of Sunday awesome catch you guys bye bye
