Salmon Seasons Stay Steady on Columbia River, Washington Coast

0:00I'm Cory with the story, bringing you the latest from Canada News today. Fishery managers are deep into planning the salmon seasons for the Columbia River and Washington coast. They're using the north of Falcon process and expect to wrap up decisions by the end of April. Chinook and Coho salmon returns look a lot like last year's numbers. That means the upcoming seasons should stay pretty much the same as before. This north of Falcon group brings together state, federal, and travel experts plus other key players. They work out details for both recreational and commercial fishing in the northwest. So far, no big changes on the horizon. Officials are focusing on balancing catches with healthy runs. Keep an eye out for those final season details soon, as anglers and communities gear up for another solid year on the water.
