The New Orleans Saints put Travis Etienne Jr. on injured reserve, creating question of how will the offense get the run going. It’s Falcons Hate Week, and key to coming out victorious is stopping Bijan Robinson first.

We have a unique group of experts here ready to bring you a fun and informative show on everything New Orleans. Saints will close out today's episode with some bold predictions. We'll also look at our favorite moments from the Saints versus Falcons rivalry. The only real rival to Saint tap and we have somebody who's actually here for those games. How do the Saints stop be John Robinson and also what's the impact of Travis H. H. I. And today's episode is brought to you by Fandall make this your most rewarding season ever with Fandall rewards club every week check the Fandall out to see what's waiting for you. Now there's only one person on his panel who has actually played in the game against the Atlanta Falcons. So we'll start with him of course but take a look at the injury the Saints had over the last. Scumy in the last game with Travis H. what do you think the impact of this will be on the running game in the office?

Well, I mean, based on what we've seen from the running game in the first three weeks of the season, I'm not sure that it has a huge impact on anything. Sure, not having your number one running back could potentially impact what the plan was to do with him or to how to deploy and use him. We just haven't seen a whole lot from him. We haven't seen a ton of touches. We haven't seen the game where we feel like, oh, okay, now we understand exactly what it is that Kellin Moore is trying to do as far as his usage of Travis H. I say that all to say one man's misfortune could potentially be another man's fortune when it comes to a K. Maybe in others, I think there's an opportunity here in this game for the bunch to step up and not have so much pressure on the one guy, Travis H.

I think Kendra Miller, I think CJ Donaldson, I think all of these guys will be able to get some touches in this game. I think the early starts that we've had throughout this season and not being able to possess the football early on, I think Kellin Moore will want to run the football a little bit more this week. I don't know who's going to get the lion's share of the carries, obviously, without being in the building. But it's unfortunate what happened, but we do have some other guys that can carry the ball. So I guess the jury is still out. That was a long way of me saying, I know I was going to impact this offense because we really haven't gotten to the point where we can say, now we understand what Kellin Moore is trying to do with Travis H. And now we understand why we paid him all this money. It just hasn't come to fruition yet. And so with him now, being able to play, it's going to be even more time before we ever get to see that. Yeah, and I look at it's disappointing because it feels like he just started getting going AP.

Like it felt as if Travis H. And finally start getting the touches and we saw some more effective. And then he goes down due to injury. And if it almost feels like we're back at a place of pessimism, we were, I guess just 30 minutes before his injury really. Right. I mean, yeah, absolutely right. Like leading into that hamstring pool. I mean, it came off of a 16 year run. Right. Like we finally saw him break one up the right side, take it off off the right edge and really, you know, pull away with the moment he pulled away, he pulled this hamstring along with it. So it's double it's sword. I mean, he had 13 touches in it. 13 carries in a game was average of 4.4 yards of touch. We hadn't seen him have that level of play since week one when he was average of 5.4. One yard to carry. I mean, you want to feature him. It's why he was your hallmarked franchise acquisition in the off season. And you just haven't gotten it done yet. So right now it's got to be Miller time.

It's got to be a K time like these guys are going to have to stuff up. Now, I know that there was a lot of issues with five and Jaden Daniels and LSU this off season. We ain't got no issues with five in the world. All right. And Kendra Miller is got to be you, but represent the number. Let's go like make it show. I mean, you can't miss something that hasn't been there. So here's an opportunity to showcase what you can be when you are available. And Kendra Miller, when he had his opportunities last season, before he got hurt, he was making the most of them. This season so far, he's been solid, but I think now we can actually see him maybe had that role increase. And what a what a good game it would be for him to do it on a national stage on Monday night. We talked a lot about how the offense has not had this, you know, the run game going. And I agree with you all been saying in that the absence of Travis H. Ann is going to take away one of their weapons.

But we all the injury has nothing to do without David Edwards and Cesar Wies have been blocking this season. Like the offense of line has to be better no matter who's behind them. The reason why we were so excited about this Saints team is that at one point they had six running backs that we would be comfortable having carry the ball. Obviously, Devin Neil and Autrick S may have moved on. But we do still like a K you still like Kendra Miller, but they need some help from the offensive line as well. I think they have been just as big of an issue. If not bigger of an issue to the offense and the rushing attack, then the running backs have. Jeremiah, right me, please. At some point, like you you need something different, some kind of change. Something to be a little bit proactive in making that we talked. This is kind of similar to what's happening with Blake groupie last year. It's like, okay, when are you going to make the move? What are you going to do it? I think this team has overall done a good job of not letting things persist for too long.

It without at least trying something new, but I'd like to see that on the offensive line. I think that's easier said than done. Yeah, especially when you. It's not like Louise is a guy that was an undrafted free agent or a guy that. Has been here, but has never played. I mean, the guys literally started his entire career. And so it's. For us on the outside saying, well, this guy stinks. Get him out of there. Put somebody else in. It's I've seen it time and time again. It's not quite so simple, even though it should be. I think it should be. Okay, this guy's not performing the way that we think that he should or to his full potential. We've got guys behind them that deserve an opportunity. Slide that guy in there. It's just not a lot of times it doesn't work like that. And I don't know what that reason is. I don't know if they're they're trying to save. What confidence or emotion would come along with that.

I really don't know because I totally agree with you guys. I mean, if one guy isn't performing and has consistently not performed. The way that you thought that he should. And you drafted a guy at his position who. Show some promise early in the preseason and through training camp. I don't know. I will say. If you continue to lose, I guarantee you will start to see more moves. Like that. That is the sure fire way to get some. Some different bodies out there on the field is to continue to lose games. Because, you know, obviously the heat turns up on the front office. Turns up on the coaching staff and they want to show that they're making moves to try to progress. And if if hopefully that's not the case, right, hopefully we're able to win games. But I think that's one way for sure that we would get an opportunity to see some different bodies out there. Lance, I got a question for you because you have such an interesting perspective on this.

When inside the locker room like coaches front office all that all that not not being exclusive. But inside the locker room, you guys have that one player that you all know is just not living up to expectations. And it's just kind of holding the team back. What does that do to the other players on the roster and how do you guys kind of encourage him, but also, you know, if you have that guy that's behind him, that's probably better. You know, how do you guys keep him focused and locked in for his moment too? Yeah, I mean, I don't know that I was really in this particular situation. The only thing that I can think of was maybe when Carl Nick's first was starting way back in the day. And I don't even remember what year that would have been now 2008, maybe, 2007. But but Jamar Nesbit was starting and he was older and he wasn't a terrible player.

But I think the writing was on the wall. Like, okay, we got this new car who's going to be pretty dang good. And I don't remember there ever being a lack of confidence for Nes. I think Nes is kind of realized like at that point in his career, he was probably going to be one of those backup mentor type players. Eventually, but this situation is so unique. I mean, like, wasn't Ruiz a first round pick? Yes. Yeah. So the year after Eric McCoy and he was a center at Michigan was even more compounding. And it makes it, it makes it more complicated when we're talking about a first round pick as well. And look, I'm not, I'm not going to sit here and blame the lack of running attack on one guy. I think we'd be foolish to just say, oh, take Ruiz out and we're going to have a great rushing attack. I don't think that is necessarily the case. Could the group overall be better without him?

I think so. But I don't know that that's fixing all the deficiencies that we've shown that we have in the running game. Whether it's timing of the play calling, whether it's situational, whether it's other guys on the offensive line, whether it's the running backs, hitting the landmarks the way that they're supposed to. I mean, there's a lot of different factors that go into the rushing game and the success of that rushing game. But it's such a nuanced conversation. I'd like, and that specific question, AP, I don't even know that I have an answer because I don't know that we've, that I ever went through a situation that was like similar to this one. I mean, at some point, if he continues to play poorly, he's just going to get benched and that's just going to be what it is. Like, there will be no, there will be no coming back. There will be no, okay, we're going to breathe high in this guy in the off season. Like that, that would basically be them drawing the line in the sand. Like, okay, we did this.

We're not going to do it anymore. And, and I think that would ultimately is going to be what's going to happen anyway at some point. In addition to the line, one of the things you mentioned Lance was like running back sitting the landmarks. And one thing that stood out to me over the last two weeks, the inability to get a toss play down. Right? Like, I think we talked about it being an HN obviously in the first two. But then it having a Comerah too. And in last week's game, do you think that's kind of a landmark? I know you're not in the room. You're not having these conversations, but just from your experience and what you've seen. Do you think it's a landmark thing or is it something else? Honestly, I don't think it's a landmark play because every time the ball was hitting the guys in the hands. Right? And look, as a past catcher, I mean, running back to catch passes as well. Every single pass or toss does not have to hit you in the perfect place, right?

Right? Right. We're athletes. We're paid to catch the football, whether it's in the perfect spot or in the worst spot. Find a way to catch the ball and get going. I think these guys have maybe for lack of concentration or just routine purposes, not paid attention to where the ball is trying to keep their eyes down, feel to figure out where it is that they want to go once they catch the football. So instead of securing it, then hitting wherever the landmark is, they're looking ahead and then they're taking their eyes off of the football and dropping it. But three is pretty significant. I mean, if a team has three in entire season, it's like, man, that's too many. But three in three games, like something's got to change because that, I mean, we're lucky to be able to get on those footballs and not turn the ball over because those are easily one offensive lineman misses his block. He lineman in space or an edge guy or or DB coming off the corner, that's a fungal in the other direction. Like we can't have that.

And I think when you have these guys, whether it's Alvin, who I'm interested to see what the thing that interests me the most is seeing what the split looks like because I want to know how much Alvin runs the football, how much he catches the football because I think they prioritize that a lot for him in his first game of the season. And then obviously the split between Camera and Miller, I think it ends up, and I would love to know what you guys think, but I think it ends up being about 50 50 similar to how Miller and HN were in week one. I was a little surprising to me, but I think with Camera and Miller of 50 50 rushing split or close to that is probably what we get. It was expecting Kendra to be a little bit more of the rusher and get a couple more of the like straight on attempts and then AK to be more involved in the passing game as a weapon, although I think they're still going to go with AK you have to you have to use AK's legs. And you have to get him going on the run and I think it was a little bit better. He had a 4.1 yards per touch average last week.

There were some flashes that you just have to see it consistently and now you're going to have to have to not even want to. And I mean look, those two have a relationship. They know how to operate the backfill between Alvin and Kendra. So it's not like this is an unfamiliar situation for either one of those guys. And they kind of know the rhythm of how they want the offense to flow when it's those two as being the primary runners for the offense. So I expect that I expect the run game to at least run at the same level that has been at now, that ain't saying much because it hasn't really been running out a lot. So the hope is, can you at least build off of what you were establishing last week because you were taking steps in the right direction. You want to continue that progress and fortunately, you know, given the circumstances of Travis's injury, you still have two veteran guys who are experiencing playing them playing together in the second year of an offense that they should now be familiar.

I think so now one back on the other side that everybody knows there's no questions. There's no doubt there's no what is it going to look like is being on Robinson an absolute beast, but the Saints can sit there and watch his highlights or be a part of they have to go and stop him. Let's get into how they achieve that as we continue with Saint squad show. Today's episode is brought to you by Fandall. Welcome to your most rewarding NFL season ever only on Fandall. As continue rolling with the same squad show we broken down Miller time, come here time we know what time it is with that landed as be John Robinson he's an absolute beast coming off of a 200 all purpose yard game on Thursday. Night football Dylan the Saints main mission if you ask me if they want to win this game is to keep that from happening on Monday night football yet again but I'm not quite sure how they are going to do it. I think you have the answers though at least I hope you do. You you speak me to have the answer to stop be John Robb I'm a podcaster. He's one of the best running backs in the NFL I have the cars on the bus. Yeah that's really honestly you have to get it into some Loki type stuff.

There you go. But in reality the Saints have you know they haven't done an amazing job every game but they've historically done a little bit better against be John they shut him down last year and that last the last game of the season. I think I think there's some tape some something to look back on that you had success with maybe learn that at the same time that's also tape for them to learn what they have to improve upon against the Saints against this brand is daily defense. But I think the reason why I'm more optimistic is that I do fake the Saints have a really good linebacker core that is athletic and can hopefully slow him down once he gets to that second level because I am not as confident as the at the defensive interior in terms of slowing him down. The defense of it have haven't been the best against the run at least as proactive but I think you could see a little bit more there as well I'm more confident I like you on a sinker but I don't know you get at the end of the day you just kind of have to pray that you stop be John.

I agree I mean like this is this is a tale of two seasons right now for the Saints defense and you look at what they're able to do last year I mean in two games versus Saints be John had 103 total yards on 29 touches that's just an average day in the park for him you know I mean he just had a hundred and 94 yards Russian and look hand up I let me I have be John Robinson on one of my fantasy teams. I'm playing also I'm playing. Yeah I'm playing. Yeah. There you go. There you go. Two different types of fantasy owners you got the ones who won't play the guy against their favorite team and the guy is saying look I'm a realist. I know it's about the happiness. I know it's about the happiness. I can I'm going to take it on the chin whether we win a lose if he's going to go off and he has 150 yards I'm going to be mad. I'm going to look at the score of my fantasy league. I'm going to be mad about it and at the same time like I at least was on my team and did that. If you're going if you're going to skull drag the Saints at least I had you on my fantasy team and I didn't play against you lose to you twice.

You know what I'm saying but for last year I mean the Saints held them to an average of three and a half yards per carat for the entire season he never broke over 70 yards in the game and you've got to be able to do he's a he's a space eater pause. All right pause that's the one but that's the. I'll just say look no no you were. Right I let AP Gavin so when you're looking at be John he's a he is a beast a creating yards where yards do not seem to be. Yes yes yes and the one thing that you don't want to do is allow him to get to the edge and that kind of plays into this into the hands of the Saints a little bit with the athleticism that we have at linebackers and like Dylan said our edge rushers this is going to be a game where they have the stuff up. Chase on cannot be alone in this effort because it could be just run away from 99 all game and if you allow him to do that then you're setting yourself up for another 150 plus your performance get just pray okay pray we need everybody on Monday night to pray we don't know what the miracle going to be how to lower going to do it.

We don't know you know God works in mysterious ways but let them go to work and hopefully we can at least match the level of consistency we had in two games into this one game and give our offense a fight and chance. I'm going to say something that super simple tackle right and I know that that's that's that's basic that's that's priority number one but when you look at some of the advanced stats I think that tackling is more important in this game than you could say in a lot of other ones. Because one vision has been a monster at creating missed tackles so that's he does very well and then if you're going to go with the percentages the Saints have the seventh highest missed tackle rate on design runs in the NFL so this is something that they struggled with a lot but I'm going to give you one more stat that account or act that hopefully. Be John's also been hit in the backfield or at the line of scrimmage on nearly half of his rushing attempts so if you can be a much better tackling team the Falcons have proven that they are pinnacle right like we have seen that you can get into the backfield against the Falcons you can get to be John.

But be John just doesn't he neutralize that by not allowing you to bring them down but if you are able to be a short tackling team that is the quickest way to stop be John when you look at how the front line of Atlanta has performed so. So tackling may sound normal or sound basic and everybody says it but sometimes the fundamentals are the most important parts so I think that this is one of those examples. Yeah I was my point was going to be to bunch things up at the line of scrimmage not allow for there to be open running lanes for him to be able to hit it downhill like he likes to do if they bunch it up and make it tougher for him to find lanes to to you know to run through. Then that allows for hopefully gang tackling more bodies around where it's not a situation where he's able to get downhill more easy. I think he's a guy that the more touches he gets the better he gets usually in games and hopefully we're able to stop him or prevent him from going crazy early get the lead and then they're throwing the ball more.

That would be a great thing but then again we've got to account for him in the passing game as well because he's just as dynamic or more dynamic than any other back in the national football league outside of the backfield being able to catch the ball and do things with it after the catch I mean this guy is more than half of their offense and so I think our team needs to really commit to him and if I was ready and stay lead I'm loading the box. I'm going to make them throw the football. I'm going to challenge my secondary I'm going to give them the opportunity to show up and be the guys that lead us to victory in this game because we should not sit back and allow their best player to be the one that's chopping us up time and time and time and time again let's take that guy away or as many coaches say let's make them play left hand it will pinnix is left handed so let's make them play. Right handed make these fools play right handed this game and see what they can do without the rushing attack that's what I would do from a defensive coordinators perspective and I speak from experience as I'm my seven year old sons football teams black football teams defensive coordinator what do they do well we're taking it away see if they can beat us by doing the other stuff.

There he goes. I just the player also a coach coach more than a building. Yes sir but also at the same time they can't I don't think they can't over commit at stopping the run because if if he's on Robinson 51% of their offense then Drake London's 48% yeah like he is he is someone who I think back to Brock Bauer's last week a little bit of a mismatch and if he is if you let him get open the Michael pinnix can find him can find him he is much better than Cooper rush was I don't think that's a wild statement to say they kind of have a pulse again and part of that was they had for if I think they had a little bit over 400 yards of offense and they be John and Drickland in both were around 200 so that was pretty much the only thing that worked Kyle pits you know you think back to the tight as this year they haven't been they haven't been amazing at stopping tight as and then Brock Bauer's and Michael may have a feeling or they've been so close to you know he would work their out there to kind of did whatever they wanted against this defense Kyle pitts all he has to catch so far this season but that is another that is

crazy another great only six targets to so it's not like it's it's just a complete ways of taillights but he is someone who is always there he almost had a thousand yards last year like he is not a terrible player if you leave him open they'll be able to use him. I'm going to submit to Sabin Bichon because the Falcons have great options elsewhere, but I do agree that forcing them to throw the ball is the best way to win this game. Yeah, feeling out about the same thing, man. I'm completely afraid of Drake London in the matchup with the second barrier after what we saw from rock powers. It's kind of like a picky poison thing. And if I had to choose, I'd rather be poison from Michael Pinnick trying to get the ball in Drake London than trying to let him be John just pull Wukwile down the defense. Yeah, I think that Drake London versus, I don't play side, I was going to say Drake London versus Kool-Aid, but it's not going to be every single play. So more so Drake London versus that secondary is one that I'm really interested in because

I think London, because he's such a possession receiver a lot of times, right? Like he's not the twitchy player. People don't get him a lot of attention. But the guy's good and you combine that with the threat of pits, even if he hasn't been productive this year, it's still the threat of pits because there are three games into the season and be John. If Michael Pinnick's junior is a good quarterback or he develops like this always, this is always a team that feels like they're one quarterback away. The Saints are a team who just found their quarterback and feel like they're putting pieces around them. So it's a really interesting kind of comparison of offenses. I'll be interested, interested, excuse me to see how many must pass situations they can force Atlanta in because I think that's what helps them. If Atlanta's in third and fourth or third and threes, right? Or they're in second and sixth, any time Atlanta's in a situation in which they can pass or run the football, that is much more concerning because then you have to account for everything.

But if they're in kind of a third and 13, third and 12, third and eight, then you know they're going to pass the football and I think that's one of the keys for the Saints defense. But we're going to move forward because this is a huge rivalry. I don't think this gets enough credit for being one of the best rivalries in the NFL. We're going to dive a little deeper into that rivalry with somebody who is on the field for the most iconic moments of that rivalry as we continue with the Saints squad. That's a better way to money. Let's get started at nm.com, the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As you continue rolling with the same squad show a lot of people talk about the Steve Gleason punt block. What many people do not know is that our good friend Lance Moore was the punt returner on that play. We talked about it a little bit before Lance, you knew it touched down was on the way, but you weren't able to predict it was going to happen like that. No, not at all. First of all, let me rewind. Everything that was leading up to that game, those of us who were young in that time didn't

necessarily understand the significance, right? We've obviously had 20 years since that game has happened and looking back, right? I think I'm actually happy that I didn't necessarily quite grasp the level of, I mean, obviously I knew there was a certain level of emotion that was associated, but just the impact of that moment, going into that game, the build up, the week of preparation, the practice and the dome on that Friday or that Saturday actually, it was a lot. And to finally get into the stadium and start and play that game, it was like a sense of relief for us to be able to one, give something back to the city, a moment that was so special that people will remember for the rest of their lives, but to two finally kind

of get on with it from the players perspective. Okay, now we can just play football. It's not there's not this extra level of pressure or gravity or anything else associated with any more of these games. We knew that we had to show up and perform. We knew that we had to play well. We all thought that we can go and win, but on that specific play, obviously, I mean, three and out by the Atlanta offense. Here we go. I'm running onto the field. I mean, the crowd was just crazy before the ball is even snapped. And in my mind, I'm like, I'm going to score, well, we're going to score a touchdown here, but I was thinking, I was thinking like, I'm going to run this thing back. I'm going to return this first punt back in the dome and return it back for a touchdown. And obviously we all know what happens from there with the gleece and block and the Curtis Deloche recovery for a touchdown. But I don't know that I've ever heard a crowd or a building erupt the way that it did

on that night on that particular play. And just thinking about it, I get goose bumps. I last night was at the Padres Cubs playoff game. I took my son and the energy that's involved with sports is something that I don't know that you could ever truly quantify. It's not tangible, right? But when you're in the building, it's something like sport is the... The army part of it. You're all connected. Yes. And sport is the ultimate connector. And it's just awesome. I don't know. I'm looking forward to being in the dome on Monday because I know there's going to be a lot of emotion in there and there is an extra level of significance. Thankfully, none of the guys that are on the team now were on the team 20 years ago. So they don't have to deal with that level of stress.

But it's one of those things that you had to be there type of thing. You can try to explain it to people as best as you can. But I'm just thankful that I got to play a small part. And obviously, all I had to do was sit back there and watch the play develop. But it was just an incredible experience and again, a play that obviously is solidified in history with the statue outside of the dome for Steve Gleason. And that's a whole other story in and of itself. He's a New Orleans hero. And for a multitude of reasons now, obviously with his diagnosis of ALS, but the work that he's done, the amount of money he's raised, the amount of people that he's helped with the disease and other diseases, iconic man. And iconic moment for our organization for an iconic human being. And again, I'm just happy that I got to be able to say that I was out there with them

when that play happened. Yeah. What we know about it now, 20 years later, statue later, 23 to three, we've seen the entire game transpire. And I think we all know just how special of a moment that was in the present moment. You don't know everything that's going to happen 20 years down the line. But I would have to imagine even in the present, it felt like one of the more special moments of your career as it was happening. Am I off-facing saying that? Well, so I mean, especially up until that point. Yeah. For sure. No, definitely. And I mean, it was like, bro, we pulled up to the stadium and they literally had a red carpet for us. And they had like valet car parkers for us. And like the crowd was already there. And their cheeriness on as we're headed into the building to go to the locker room. And just the atmosphere was just so crazy and awesome and electric.

And yeah, yeah, no, I mean, just super dope for sure. Now in the time since we've seen a dominant Sothe rivalry during the breeze, Peyton Error, we've seen phenomenal moments in those times. And I just kind of want to reflect Dylan, when looking at this, what is your favorite or one of the moments in this rivalry that really has stuck out to you as you've been watching? Well, obviously the dome coming is the biggest moment in this rivalry history. It's one of the biggest moments, I think in football. It's just like one of the greatest pure moments of that the sport has. It encapsulates everything that I love about New Orleans. I love a lot of sports. I love about everything involved. But I think another, I also looked out because my actual favorite play of all time in football history happened in this rivalry. And that was whenever Shide Tuttle intercepted Matt Ryan and then shoved him into the ground. And one of the funniest, funniest plays of all time, what am I, what are the most fun

replays to watch? I love any time a big guy can get an interception or a touchdown and then take it at interception and just if on the quarterback of your rival team is one of the, it has to be one of the greatest moments in Shide Tuttle's life. Just one of the most fun plays. Amazing international calls as well. Go listen to the other languages, talk about it. That is one of the, what are my favorite plays ever? So happy it happened against Matt Ryan in the Falcons. You're not a bigger dream when you're a big guy and you finally get the touchdown ball. You finally get the pick. It's like when Collins, Son is last or a couple of years ago, he got the interception on the goal line. I'm not staying in the end zone. Get out of the way. We're running. Big man, rumble baby. The only thing I see that was, I think Michael Pierce got an interception and had the open field. He went, not, not, I'm going down. Oh man, big man with the football is just, it's one of the special moments because it's

not all the time. So you know they're trying to make the most of this opportunity. Brother Tuttle, that's exactly what you did. You have submitted yourself in history. A lot of people don't realize that's the same game where Kim brought down Matt Ryan four times, right? Like that's that same matchup that it happened. I had day for Matt Ryan. Terrible day for Matt Ryan. He got sex nine times. Nine times in that game and got stiff on. So that's nuts. Cam's highest, sack total and a little fun fact for you. Cam has had more than two sacks on seven occasions in his career. Four of them have happened against the Falcons. So just another feather in the cap. I'm sure that he's, he's pretty happy about that. But the AP, favorite moment within this rivalry. I mean, you know, it's kind of hard to top the dome coming just because I was about to age myself here, but I was 21 years old coming back home after doing me. Yeah.

So that's why that's why it doesn't mean anything to you and Darren. Y'all probably feel like in the pamper somewhere trying to figure out what the difference between a hot will and the RC car is. But yeah. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Give me a moment. AP, I was 23. So there you go. Oh, man. Hey, let me, AP guard. I'm here, Dylan. Air perspective. I'm not the real man perspective being in the Orleans native and knowing how that game means to me. Dealing with Katrina personally, coming back and seeing where the bone was, having my best friend have to escape from the dome from Katrina and us being able to talk throughout that game. I was able to give back to New Orleans before the kickoff for that game. So everything's surrounding that game to lead up to it. I'm getting goose bumps talking about it right now. It's just like it connects you to the city even more. But outside of that moment, because that's just, you know, like, that's like a Super Bowl

of Falcons moment. You can't really top that. One would be in the 2012 season when the Falcons were eight and no and our Saints struggled. We started off the season, oh and four. And we went on a pair and one four out of five games. And you know who one of those wins were against that no Falcons. Our little beleaguered Saints who were just trying to figure out that way through the season. And it rose up like Atlanta always claimed they're going to do in rising up. Came up and slapped them right back down the reality. Eight and one move on with your season, fellas. Beautiful. Beautiful. And Chris Ivory in that game went off too. I think he trucked a couple players. Yeah, like a 26 year old runway ran through like several tackles. That game was absolutely ridiculous and it was in the dome too. What about favorite parts of this rivalry? Is that it was kind of born of both of the teams back in the day?

This was the only game they could win because they were both so bad. So now you look forward to beating the Falcons because it's like, oh, this might be the only win we get. And so both, but they felt the same exact thing. So it has been a bloodbath since the beginning and it's just every meeting is fun. And obviously there's a lot of bad blood and we talk about this rivalry. But it is, it's all fun. It's a sport at the end of the day. And it is just a way to unite as a city against the common enemy. Yeah, you're absolutely right. Dylan on me speaking to that. My grandma and grandfather always had a saying if the saints are going to be bad, there's three games you got to win both against the Falcons and at least one against the Cowboys that they're on the schedule. That's brilliant. I'll give one. This is one of my favorite breeze moments and it happened against the Falcons. And he, I'll give two, I'm going to take John's role since John's not here today and do the multiple.

When Breeze threw four touchdowns to four undrafted free agents, that was one of my favorite just drew moments because it felt like it was a perfect description of what I felt about him as a quarterback. His ability to operate the offense, not be reliant on a playmaker. Yes, you had Michael Thomas at the time who was there and you've had great receivers. But I never felt like the saints receivers got any credit and you got Dan Arnold, Tommy Lee Lewis, I had to write them down because I knew I wouldn't remember off the top of my head. Dan Arnold, Tommy Lee, Austin Carr and Keith Kirkwood, right? Those all for a score touchdowns in that game and kind of felt like an underdog story of a sort but Breeze throwing the football at that time wasn't really underdog but the receivers were. And then the second one was when James or excuse me, the Saints offense decided we're not going to just run the clock out, we're not just going to kneel, we're going to go score. They say it wasn't James, I think it was a whole look, we're not just going to bow down

to the Falcons. I hated the apology that came afterwards but the moment itself was phenomenal and it felt like the middle finger to that era and quite frankly we were all doing it at the time as fans and it felt a little bit too long for the fan base to get out of here. So that's one of my, those are two of my favorite moments of the Oravari one petty and one in appreciation for obviously the greatest player. That apology was when the fan base was just like, oh yeah, finally Ellen Carlton, this is done. I mean, you don't apologize to that team. No, just, I mean, that was a moment where you look back and you just realized, oh, he could never, I just don't see how you could ever win that locker room back after doing that to just, I don't know, I just lost a lot of respect from I think a lot of people doing the apology in the first place. Just, you know, if it made you upset, handle it in the media and then handle it, actually handle it behind, behind closed doors and figure out why it happened and whatnot.

Don't throw your players. I'm never a fan of a coach throwing players out of the bus or a quarterback throwing his, you know, the skill position or the bus or anybody. But I just got it. It's a team game. I kind of feel differently in that what are you apologizing for? That's my poor. Yeah. Like there's nothing else. It's the game. You play to win the game. Like I'm like, it's the game. It's football, bro. Like, and if you don't stop us and we decide to run a play, then so be it. Like it is what it is. If you guys do it to us, we're not going to write a letter to the commissioner saying you guys have poor sportsmanship. It is what it is. Like I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, maybe Arthur Smith is his homeboy. Maybe he's hoping to get hired by Arthur Smith somewhere down the future. I don't, I don't know, but I, I just, I didn't like it. And like you guys, you handle that internally. You talk to the team. You talk to your guys. Hey, man, I didn't like it. But shoot, I get it. I'm on your team, too. Like that's how it should have been handled.

Right. What is the point of a quarter of a coach ever complaining about a touchdown? That is the end goal of every dry. Like, it's like, it, it, it, I don't know, I've, I've always been of the elk of, if you're on the field, you try to score points. You try to score. You know, obviously, yeah, this was about, are you talking about the kneeling at the goal line like Ellis, you did? Yes. With five minutes to go in the game. That's disrespectful. Yeah. Like that. Go score. Go score at this point. Yeah. You know, tell your offense not to do their job, their job is to go make points. You know what you all fell, especially in this right, it just felt so sorry against what this robbery represent a rivalry in general, but especially this one represented, you had absolutely zero zero idea of what was going on in the fan base in the locker room as a culture with team. And I think that play in general really did a great job representing the shortcomings of the air at that moment, but we're going to keep it on a high note and we're going

to give back to some bold predictions for this hate week as we continue with the St. Squash show. So if you're tying the knot, closing on a house, or welcoming a little one, you'll be ready for whatever life tosses your way. It's the right time to feel less stressed and more certain. That's a better way to money. Let's get started at nm.com. The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As we continue rolling, we have some bold predictions for this one. I'm looking directly, me personally, I'm looking directly at protecting the football and the two losses that the Saints have had. They've had turnovers as the big issue, seen it against the Lions. That's what led for going from 7 to 0, which was manageable to 21 to 0.

And now it's like, oh my god, I got to come back. We seen it against the Raiders. It's what happened when you go from 27-22 to fumbling on the last four possessions. That has been the problem. So I'm going to go the Saints' commit zero turnovers in this game against the Lennon Falcons, and they're going to win by a score of 24 to 21. That's my score and bold prediction for this game. Saints get back on the winning side. And a big win in this NFC South as well, because that's a really jam-packed division. It's only three games. Everybody but the Buckingeers are one and two. So big win could give you sole possession of the NFC South, depending on how Carolina plays. I'm with you. But I think so, I got two bold predictions. Kendrick Miller, over 115 yards rushing on the ground. Okay. Yonis Sanker would have picked. I like both of them. Sanker would have with his first interception of the season, and the Saints pull out the

win 27-20. There you go. I almost was going to say you didn't even need to give a score prediction. Two bold predictions, like that. You know, I don't care what your score is, but not. I absolutely love it. I think both of those not only being bold, but would be game changers for the Saints in this game. I'm just going to be honest. I think the Saints could be rolling out the Edna-Card team versus the best Falcons of all time, and I think I'd pick the Saints to win this game. I just was picking a random high school team. No shots. It's a lady better pick another way. I'm not going to my own central hot. They could throw out the central high school. Yeah, there we go. That's just always there's a random name. No disrespect, but not fully being. I just I can't see myself ever picking it gets the Saints in this game. But being more objective than that, I do think the Saints are going to win the game off of what I've seen so far this year.

The Falcons have had, I'd say, one of the, I'm trying to figure out if it, they've had a pretty easy schedule compared to what the Saints have had so far. They haven't been tested as much. I think the Saints have played three good games so far. And the, you know, the Steelers are, you know, they're solid. The Panthers are solid. They're okay. But the Packers are off and the only success that the Falcons have had so far this season is against the Packers. And so I want to see them be a little bit more battle-cested. I think the Saints are a little bit, are going into this game annoyed knowing what the environment is going to be. And I'm going to, it's not really a bold prediction anymore because they did it last week. So I'm going to go away from scoring the first half. But I'll go with Tyler Schuck having another 300-yard game through the air. And I'll throw three touchdowns on top of that. I think, because I think it's going to be the passing attack that gets the game, that wins the game for the Saints in this one.

I'm not a huge, I'm not threatened by the Falcons secondary, especially with no AJ Torell. They've been okay. CJ Henderson's playing like he was expected to play a couple of years ago. And they have solid pieces. Jesse Bates is good. I think Tyler Schuck and Joanne Johnson and Chris O'Leavitt and Devon Valey are going to be able to put up points in this game. So I'm going to go with the Saints. I'll go with what I went with for the last round. I'll go with Saints 31 Falcons 20. No less high scoring. I like that. I like where we're headed. 31 points. Three touchdowns. No intercessions. The big game for King J. Miller. Lance. Shut them up. Maybe shut them up. Lance. What's your overdiction score? Yeah. So I mean, I agree with Dylan that there's not a single bone in my body that would allow me to pick against the Saints in this game. I just feel like the moment is too important. The game is too big.

The opponent is the one that we want to beat the most. So it literally sets up perfectly for, it's a perfect storm. I mean, it's literally the perfect matchup, the perfect timing. I think it's going to be a high scoring game. I've got the Saints went in 31-27. But my bold prediction for this game is a defensive score at some point in some form or fashion. I don't know if it's a former recovery for a touchdown or a pick six, but I think our defenses do. We obviously had one called back in week one. I don't want to keep revisiting that. I'd rather be talking about the one that actually counted. So hopefully it's this week against this opponent that our defense steps up and makes a big play that could either change the momentum in the game or help to put the opponent away in this game. I think that would be pretty good. There is one matchup I think I want to highlight while we're talking about this game.

And something I think the Saints will affect an AP. I think you're going to agree with me, maybe. I think the Saints have to get Johan Johnson lined up and take the advantage of Harold Perkins in confidence. I've seen Harold Perkins play a lot of coverage and he's in the NFL now, but I want to see the Saints test that out. Make him stop someone like Johan Johnson. I don't care if it's Johan Johnson, Johnson and Johnson, Ben Johnson. Whoever they need to on 56 line him up, we know where his struggles are. Like do not let him look. Perkins defense is nothing but really be afraid of the Saints have played pretty to two pretty talented defenses in the Ravens and the Raiders back to back. So the advantage should be with this offense and the weapons that they have in the passing game. Exploit that matchup though. I mean, take advantage of that. Put Alvin on him, put Kendra on him, put Davon on him, find him, seek and destroy.

That's it. I agree with you. He's playing and he's playing a lot and even wherever he is not in the game, that means Kendall Daniels is and that's another four thousand linebacker. Like I just I'd like to see the Saints test these Falcons linebackers in coverage. And I love how men. Take pictures with him. Great guy coach and younger brother. Like great guy. Exploit him on Monday night. Yeah, you the enemy. I saw I saw it happen way too many times over his guy's career to not know what you should be focusing on. And I'll throw one out for us. It's got to be chase young. We haven't talked about youngness and tire show and I feel like sometimes we don't talk about him enough in an honesty with how he's been playing the big time plays. He's made the moments in which he's made those plays. He's had a lot of impactful third downs, right? I think he had he's currently at three and a half sex. Only one of those wasn't on the third down.

So you're you're looking at a true impact player. We talked about this on the post game show. The only real impact player on this defense. You're going to need him to step up and when Lance talked about that that touchdown on the defense side of the ball. I was like, you know what? It's got to be it's got to be chase. It's got to be the strip set. Get it back in in returning and finally put the whole what to throw what's the throwing motion. What's intent? Put it all to bed and get a strip set. Fumble return for touchdowns against the Falcons. That was the only thing going through my head when Lance was saying it was all chasing on to get him one back. I'm like, Lance, I don't want to really live this again. I don't really been to this enough for like the entire month of September. It's been marred by what is a what is a true strip set like it's stupid. I can't believe we've moved on from what is a catch. We never we still never figured that out. I said I said I take one of my texts and one of my groups. I was like, we don't know what football is anymore. We don't know what the catch is. We don't know what a tackle is. We don't know what a fumble is. We don't know what a pass is.

We don't know. Right. Like we don't know any of these things anymore. All the things that we thought we figured out we we just we don't know anymore. But I want to go opposite of you with that one. No, Darian. It's not the chase young of it. Somebody help him. Please. Like I think of the Kevin Hart meet. Help me. Like help this man. Yeah. Somebody. Somebody take the pressure off of him on the defensive side of the ball. Somebody opposite. So that way he truly can get loose. If he's doing this right now, solo, imagine if you had somebody to compliment. I mean, good. It's right there. We got. Yeah, there's plenty of options. I mean, like it's not like there's. Chase is out there playing solo like there is always somebody on the other side. We just need some production from somebody over there. I don't think it's too much to ask for the guys to do their job in a in a in a great way.

I mean, that's what they get paid to do. And hopefully they're just late starters. Yeah. I'll say that. It's just like it's pretty easy. It's no surprise to me that the Saints just tried out three more defensive ends, at least to find a little bit more depth and rotational help. Yeah. Oh, not long. I'll say I think I think Anthony, Anthony Jennings has been solid so far. I think he's been a nice pick up. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. Just more, not super pretty against the past, but he's been better against the run. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So hopefully Cam comes alive. This is this is his game. This is his opponent. This is his this is his time to come out here and do what needs to be done. But I think that we talked a lot about how to stop the Falcons and put them in. I said you need to put them into must pass situations. Well, must pass situations typically only matter if you can get to the quarterback. Otherwise they get to sit back and pick you apart. So chase young Carl Grandiston, Cam Jordan, Anthony Jennings. I don't know if they're going to have Tyree Wilson active this week.

If they don't sinker, you know, is anchor please blitz some more. I think, you know, so we need to find ways to get pressure. That's going to be one of the keys. But we'll be back on Monday. We'll tell you if the same guy pressure will tell you if they achieve the bowl predictions that we set in the keys to victory. And hopefully we're celebrating a victory on Monday night football. Would you have to be here on Monday night to figure that out? We better be celebrating. We better be celebrating. And we don't. Oh, we don't. Oh, when we win, we win the, the same to win that game. We're not. We were going to go back. I got, I got a brand new Jordan Tyson Jersey still in the pack. I promise I'm a rip it off the pack. I'm a brand new. I'm a ain't even not even waiting for a debut. We going to do Monday night. So we'll be back CNAP and his Jordan Tyson Jersey. Ain't no else. You're going to see it other than here.
