From the Daily News Now Network, this is Corey with Entertainment and Celebrity News today. Rosanne Barr recently opened up on her podcast about feeling betrayed by co-star John Goodman during the Rosanne reboot. She learned from producers that he plans to appear in only six out of 24 episodes, instead of committing fully. Despite the hurt, Barr said she stayed professional and kept her emotions separate from the job. Barr explained how she coped by staying in character at all times, even during breaks on set. She described Hollywood as horrifying, claiming it rewards dishonesty over truth. Her son, who co-hosts sometimes, noted that she doesn't find fame itself interesting or fun to talk about. The original Rosanne show ran for nine seasons on ABC, from 1988 to 1997. It became hugely popular for depicting a blue collar family's real struggles with money and mixing last with serious issues. Barr won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role. The show rebooted in 2018 with much of the original cast, drawing massive viewership.

But it got canceled after one season when Barr posted a racist tweet comparing a political figure to an ape. ABC then launched a spinoff called The Conners Without Her. Barr has called the spinoff's decision to kill off her character with an opioid overdose, a cruel message, especially given her mental health. She feels it dismissed her contribution to the 28 million viewers they gained and likely won't see again. A quick thank you to our sponsor of today's episode. No need to switch positions.
