The drive with T-Cross podcast is powered by Farah and Farah, Tampa accident attorneys. That lady's saying, don't count us out yet. The Yankees did drug them nine nothing yesterday, it wasn't necessarily Peyton Toley's fault. I think his manager, Chad Tracy, deserves some blame. I don't know why he took him out and put in the other guy against Ben Rice who had a home run. And the greatest game of his life and he mentioned that after the game, nine nothing Yankees beat the Red Sox. They pulled the way late. Rice had a grand slam and a five run eighth inning and Cam Schletler was great. Ten strikeouts over six and a third. He continues his dominance over the Red Sox and now the Red Sox are on the brink of elimination tonight. It is game two of that wild card series at Yankees Stadium. The Yankees will have max freed on the mound against 18 game winner, sunny gray.
We got that game here at Christmas. I'm assuming. Yeah, we sure do right here, WDAE. We've got the coverage. That's fantastic. You know, so the Yankees are going to try and close them out and move on to the AODS and the raise or anxiously awaiting. We'll talk to Andy free coming up just after three o'clock about the what the rays have in store. Andy lineup will look like with the postseason roster will look like and it sure is how it's going to be the Yankees and look if you're a raise fan, this is all I'm asking the Red Sox to do push the Yankees. I mean, don't go out in a whimper. Don't go out in two straight games. I mean, the least you could do is put up a fight tonight. I know you haven't scored any runs. They were last in the majors and run scored in the month of September. They did last and they scored zero last night. So yes, sunny gray is going to have to go out there and he's going to have to shut down the Yankees completely. And they have some big boppers, some lefties in that lineup.
So the Red Sox certainly up against it, but you know what, fight this team, make them use their resources for crying out loud. I would just love to see the Red Sox somehow respond and push this thing to a game three tomorrow night. It certainly doesn't seem like that will happen. Baseball look is a strange sport. And sometimes it zigs when you want them to zag and vice versa. Well the Yankees and Cam Shilitler certainly sent the message last night, didn't they? Shilitler, who's a Massachusetts native, loves to dominate the Red Sox. Ben Rice, also another Massachusetts native, two Massachusetts natives doing a number against the Red Sox last night game two tonight. You can listen to the action right here on double D A E 888 388 0957 text at e 2945 raise having a workout today over at the top. They'll be watching tonight.
And if it's the Yankees, then the raise will know how to move forward in terms of who makes it postseason roster Yankees obviously got a lot of lefties. The raise will try and combat that like Eric Clevver. I mean, he's going to be an interesting piece in that bullpen. You know that boosters already on the team. I think Booster is the number one lefty out of that bullpen. Will they keep Clevver if it's the Yankees? Ian Seymour pitch well against the Yankees. You know, he's going to be on this roster. How will the raise utilize him? We'll talk to Andy free coming up just after three o'clock and we'll Brody Hopkins. Make the ALDS roster. There's a possible bullpen option. Lot of fascinating decisions that Eric Neander and Kevin Cash will have to make certainly in the next. I don't know 48 to 72 hours leading up to Saturday Saturday folks. Game one ALDS at the top. First pitch will be at 630 on Saturday.
Game two is Monday at 8 PM. So it's very, very close to a sellout. So I think some upper deck seats I saw, smattering of seats are available there including like some sweet areas. So race baseball.com get there. If you want to be a part of it, it's going to be a packed house. It will be a sellout. I would imagine before Saturday comes around, it's going to be a great atmosphere. Can hardly wait. We haven't seen postseason baseball at the top in a couple of years, at least in a few years. That is going to be a great, great scene, an electric scene coming up on Saturday. And you heard Judy Cam and arrows like, listen, come out support us because we plan on putting on a show. And if it's Yankees raise, it's going to be a great series. Great series Yankees using Cam Schliitler through 117 pitches last night. They are using Max Fried tonight.
If it goes to a game three tomorrow, it will be Ranger Suarez against Garic Cole. So what I'm interested in knowing is if you're Aaron Boone, let's just say you beat the Red Sox, you wrap it up tonight. What is the rotation going to look like? Do you use Garic Cole? Game one against the race. Raise have had some pretty good moments against him and then not to recent pass. Carlos Redone is the guy that I think the Yankees want to throw at the raise. Game one on Saturday, Redone shut down the raise just last week up in the Bronx. And you know the guy that you saw last night, you'd always going to be making two appearances. And if I'm the Yankees, like Schliitler pitch last night yesterday was what Tuesday? Game two is on Monday. You better believe Schliitler is going to go game two against the race on Monday. And then if it goes five, they'll bring them back. Game five, the following Saturday on four days rest as usual rest works out perfectly.
So you know Schliitler, you're going to see him games two and five. I think they go redone game one. And maybe they push either freed or Garic Cole. It's a fascinating decision that the Yankees will have to make going it to next week. But I would bet my bottom dollar that you're going to see Schliitler in games two and five against the race. If the Yankees finish off the Red Sox tonight. Of course you could listen to that game right here. Eight at a three eight eight zero not five seven. You freaking people a text platform. It's got her phones. Mike is out now. Lay listening through the eye hard app. How are you Mike? Hope you're feeling well. Good pal. How are you? Terrific. Great. This this baseball playoff format is it the dumbest damn thing you've ever seen. It's just stupid. In terms of the race being the number one seed and they're in the same bracket as the Red Sox and the Yankees as opposed to facing the lower seed, which is what the NFL does.
Yeah, the team with the best record should be playing the team with the worst record no matter where they are or how they do it. It doesn't make sense. On the reward isn't what it should be for the best two. The teams with the two best records. It's just you get the scrum thumbs that could make it somewhere on one side and the better teams on the other. It doesn't make sense to me. I agree with you. And I don't know if they're going to change that moving forward. I appreciate the call, Mike. But look, it is what it is and the race will have to just deal with that as it comes. And I do believe that, you know, the the other teams and the other bracket, you know, Astros, White Sox, Guardians, listen. One of those teams will be in the ALCS. Really crazy stuff to me. It really is. But yes, they should recede and you have to reward the team that gets the top seed by facing the lowest remaining seed available in the next round.
That's how it should be done. Absolutely right. Or remember a couple years ago, these wild card games, it used to be one game and then they change it out to best out of three with the team with the best record hosting all three games potentially. Now a lot of people have a problem with that. But best out of three is better than one and done like one game in one game like anything can certainly happen in a one game scenario, a one game playoff as we all know. So I like the best out of three. If you really want to get fancy and I don't think baseball is going to do this, though, don't forget, we got a lot of coming and a work stoppage beginning December the first. I think it's inevitable. They talk about this playoff format and the receding come CBA collective bargaining agreement talks when they finally get down to actually they have been talking, but they're miles apart as we know we know the economic system of baseball is certainly going to be a number one.
That's the main priority, but I'm hoping they get into the receding aspect of the conversation too. Now what you could do is you scale the season back, which I don't think the players union's going to go for scale it back to 154 games. And then you make best of five in the wild card. And then best of five in the AOD as an then best of seven LCS, best of seven world series. I think that's how I would do it. I'll go back play eight fewer games to 154 games and then best of five, best of five, best of seven, best of seven. Kapiche. Let's go to Gio. He's got some thoughts about the raise. What's up Gio? First of all, T-Cross, have you been to a game at the top with when it's 43,000 every season? How have you been to a game like that?
Years ago, yes. Years ago. It's going to be crazy. Here's my take on the Yankees. I believe that they're going to bring Schlippler back for game two of our series on normal rest. Then they could bring them back for game five if there is a game five. My entire point is true Rasmussen must win game one. If we win game one and lose game two, I'm okay with it. I think we can win a game or two in New York and I think we can win the series. If true Rasmussen comes in and we lose and there's 20,000 Yankees fans in the stands and they come back with Schlippler on the mound on Tuesday, I think we're in trouble. I trust Rasmussen. I think he's going to be dying tonight. Also I think that Parolta, given the game two start and that means he would come back for game five if there is a game five of the trial.
It's going to be a hell of a series. It is going to be fantastic. I think it's going to go four or five. The Yankees are the most formidable pitching staff in the league and I think we can beat them. I'm also making a call. Evan Longoria in 2008 hit two home runs his first playoff at bats. Junior Caminero is going to hit a home run on Saturday night and it's first at bat. Mark it down. Thank you for my call, Rob. I appreciate it, Gio. And I hope that's the case and we know junior loves the big stage. I remember talking to Arrays, you know, we just want to get into October because we know with this guy's capable of meaning junior Caminero. And we've seen it. The all-star game we saw at the World Baseball Classic in the Dominican league last year with, you know, his walkoff home run. He thrives in those moments and we're here. October baseball begins Saturday and I think junior is going to be up to the challenge. I think it's going to be a heck of an atmosphere. And if it's the Yankees look, bring it on.
But yeah, before you, you know, came on there, Gio, I basically laid it out. It's going to be Schlittler games two and five. You can write it down. And yeah, it'll be well right at down Kevin Cash because you're going to see that guy twice in games two and five without question. Yankees are setting it up that way. You're right about Drew Rasmussen Saturday. I mean, you got to take game one and Rasmussen is your ace and the race won his last 12 starts since the all star break. So I like those chances. I'm interested to see what the Yankees doing game one, but the Yankees first before you look ahead and I know the Yankees are already looking ahead. I know their fans are already looking ahead. You know, you need to look ahead in terms of buying some deodorant to some of you, but they're already looking ahead to the ALDS. You got to take care of the Red Sox first. I'm hoping that tonight the Red Sox put up at least a little bit of a fight.
Don't go out with the whimper. Nobody wants to see that. Andy free coming up just after three o'clock. We'll talk all things raised and Major League baseball playoffs, October baseball, man. Gosh, I'm so pumped for it. It's back. And the scene Saturday should be epic. We'll talk to Andy free three o'clock five John ledger on the box at four o'clock. One week come back back to the box in the NFL. Todd bowls made. Oh my gosh. Another Todd isn't, I think he made a. That's right coach. You made a very odd comment regarding one of your star players today. We're going to play you those comments. Also trash talking ahead of a game Sunday week four of the NFL involving two of the biggest stars who are going head to head literally on Sunday. Oh boy, you got to love it. Bolton board materials. Hey, it's Pan Aaron from Circle Insurance and when people ask us why we. The drive with T-Cross podcast is powered by Farah and Farah. Tampa accident attorneys.
