Guys ever watch Malcolm in the middle? Was that a show that you guys, uh, never really loved it? But it was there. That was here and there. Yeah. Same here. Kind of a casual crazy to see like Brian Granson on that show, bro. Like is that is Brian Granson in that show? No. He's the father. Yeah. Yeah. It's always the crazy thing that he went from like the loving father on like a sitcom to Heisenberg. Well, he was doing an interview where he spoke about how like he was doing Malcolm the middle a lot. Then he was doing a lot of those types of roles where like Brian Granson was a a nice, lovable dad, you know, the goofy dad type of thing. And then all of a sudden he gets that role for Heisenberg and he couldn't tie that. That's a show you haven't watched yet. I haven't. I will watch it though. That's a promise. This would always says you're I will. I will. I will. Till the till the till my last day on earth. I'll definitely watch it. I need to like commit my time to it. Maybe this winter. I've been saying I want to rerun sopranos because I only watched it once. But maybe it's going to be a breaking bad. I don't know. That's what you're breaking bad and Game of Thrones on your. Yeah. I don't know. That sounds like it's going to take me like four years to finish those two combined.
Like because I'm not a guy that's going to binge a show like three episodes in a like I'm going to watch one every two days. That's true. The last six months and like when you're enjoying a show, it's a good thing, bro. It's like, no, I don't. It's going to make me want to binge if it is as good as you guys see it is. Yeah. For sure. I will. I rewatch the entire series in 2024 when I got mono around like that chromacopia time. Breaking bad. Yeah. I rewatch breaking bad for the first time in like five years and like with that show, bro, you just can't put it down like you're going to be like, no, it's like an automatic lock, bro. What a streaming services it on. Pretty sure Netflix. It's on Netflix. Yeah. Yeah. So because yeah, I know how you feel, bro, you don't want to go to these sites, bro, because like you stopped something and then done with these sites. But like if it's for a movie, I'll do it before a show like the show's rough. What I got, I got to buy HBO Max. If I want to watch the pranels over again, but that's what it is. You have to buy all these different streaming services. Not worth it, bro. No, it's not. You have to go to the deep dark way. You had to go to a different place. Yeah. Luhas plugs. I have plugs. Definitely the plug.
Luhas. Every fucking movie movie say that exists. It's the way, right? It's not a full. It's not a fuck that shit. No, no, I agree. But even for my sports, like I've been splitting sports in that plus with my cousin for Montreal, Canadians, games and NHL games. And then I split TSN with them for all like an off-do it with people for sure. Yeah, I split with my cousin, but I do. He sends how much for about 30 bucks a month. We split that and then I split my sports. I see people on these 14 subscriptions. Yeah, it gets pretty fucking crazy. I even bought Fubo Plus Pro for Europa League coverage. That's another thing, bro. I must spend at least 100 bucks a month on entertainment. Yeah, it's horrible. Probably around there, but man, what a weekend for the NFL, a bud. Yeah, I mean, listen, the 1 p.m. games were kind of underwhelming. I like the 4 p.m. games were good. And obviously the nighttime game was sick to the Carolina versus Detroit game. That was a great game. But yeah, man, I know fucking good week for all the sports the Canadians too. If you guys watch that Pittsburgh game, serious come back at the end, I love to see it. And even though we lost an overtime, we'll give this a shit. Please, we still have a point off that. Yeah, for sure. And it doesn't count as a loss, right?
It counts as like an overtime loss. You snag a point off. Yeah, and you snag a point. So no, the halves are fun to watch. And it was so funny as I was watching, I knew they were going to make the comeback. Yeah, as soon as I saw that first period, like, sorry, that second period, go by Nick Suzuki. I'm like, okay, like come back. So I'm like, we should in these positions too many times. And then I saw the penalty at the end of the third. Am I okay? This is going to be next tomorrow, right? We play Carolina tomorrow. We have three games finally this week. We play to OV announcer retirement. Does Crossbee done two of this year? No, Crossbees actually signing an extension. Well, Cue at Pittsburgh, he's probably going to do another two, three years because he's still at top of his game. Ovech can say that this is going to be the last season he plays. It's kind of normal, bro. They did a capitals when it goes sign a bunch of players this off season to at least give him his final shot. What a legendary career, bro. What's going to feel sad when those guys are out of the NHL? For sure. Kind of an arrow. Hold it for a fair well as fucking messy. Tomorrow's is last ever Argentina game. Wow. So he's playing his farewell match yet. So it's the game. It's just a friendly.
Yeah, it's a friendly Argentine. I don't even know what country they're playing against. And then obviously all the Ronaldo. You guys see the Ronaldo shit that's going on? No. With the Portuguese. Yeah, that he left the national team. And it's drama is going to reveal his truth and stuff like that. That's so sad. Bro, they started you with the World Cup in your 41 bro. What else did you want? He's actually going out. Because you were on the bench and once all around, we took your spot. Like that's what you're crying. Bro, he's actually pissed because the coach made him warm up but didn't end up putting him on because the coach was like, listen, like we thought we were going to sub him. And then we were winning the game. But the funniest thing is that he started this whole fiasco after they won. Like they're winning, bro. Portugal's a good decision. The guy who took your spot scored a goal in that game. The game winning goal, bro. And he got an assist too. So just to say it's he's always been like an individualistic type of player. And I mean, to turn your back on your country, like, and now people are starting to point fingers at the manager. Like it's showing out a bit sad. He is going out a bit sad. It's a whole legend of the game.
One of the great events. Yeah, one of the greatest things that are away from him. But yeah, not crazy stuff. And then there's the whole man city. It's a tradition. Yeah, bro. They don't bring, they don't ban those guys to the shadow realms. Like they get championship. Put them two leagues back, bro. Fuck that. They're not a fraud, bro. Financial fraud. Those guys were committed. Yeah, that's just a nine. It's $900 million of funds that they were not supposed to spend that they did spend. And now that directly ruins the game, bro. That's as bad as refereeing and as bad as match fixing. And what happened with you went this in the 2000s. This could really change like the sport forever, bro, because like I think if you're going to think twice about doing it even bars as in heart, hot water, I know. They all fucking though, bro. Let's be honest. A lot of these top teams are in benefits. The question benefits the league itself. So that's why it may be the eternal blind eye for certain amount of time until it's too obvious. Well, the premise started to crack down on it in like 26 at 2017, bro, when there was that league through the daily mail, that guy that hacked all of man cities, financials.
And then he found all those like phantom sponsorships and everything that they were claiming. And obviously the money trail led back to ownership's own company sponsoring the team, which is fucking illegal. So that's fucking illegal. But bro, like it was crazy because you a foot did their check and you have to say, no, no, it's bro, it's five years. You guys are good, bro. Like, you know, we can't do anything about it. And the premise had fucked up, bro, like you guys can't do that. I think conspiracy theory, the premise let them do it. And then back to their minds, they probably said, well, if ever they get caught, we'll still benefit from it because they're spending 900ms. They're going to bring in the world's biggest talent to the league. You can't deny that. And then when it's all said and done, bro, and they're done, they're their own exactly. And then you guys, you guys get cracked down. We're going to go hard on it. So it's going to be interesting to see if they get titles stripped away if they're big players like how land are going to leave. Yeah. And also like how soon the consequences are going to take place because you know how the fucking legal system works. They're going to throw up the repeals.
They're going to have been in a field, apparently. So it's going to be for a long ass process for sure. I'm just interested to see like if that actually happens, how many of those guys actually stay with that team, bro, and like what happens to that entire fan base, but they have like one of the most, I would say like probably sophisticated structures right now in European football and like, brother, is that that all go down the drain and like no one's coming to your games anymore? No one wants like, how do you even rebuild that, bro? That's a crazy project to have the rebuild from the ground up. Yeah. And then all those guys are going to want to leave. They're going to go to championship teams. Like it's going to be, it's going to be a mess. But sports was very interesting this weekend. Lots of full stuff happening. Falls here. Fall is here. Yeah. Today felt like the first real day of fall. Like what the whole day up to this point for sure. It's GG's gentlemen. It's actually a geno that there's tempo season. Oh, brother. Yeah, get ready. I already see some people putting up their temples and shit. I'm like, I'm going to change my tires and like two weeks. I'm sure that change my tires. Yeah, it is.
What it is. But I like this is the period where I'm like, OK, fuck it. We're in it to win it. I told you that from this part until the 1st of January, it's kind of like cool. It's awesome. Well, whatever. It's not awesome. It's cool. You kind of enjoy this version. Yeah. But then once you hit January, bro, forget it. That's one is game over. You got to make the most out of the winter. I think in those moments, like at least going outside, playing ice hockey. Yeah, like going up north or like doing something on a Molotramblanca. Skiing or some shit. It's not scenically, but like when you always got a like fucked. After a skiing, bro, I've never done skiing. I'm kind of scared now, though. Well, my knees, I'm a heavy guy. So like, I don't know. Honestly, I went skiing last year. I've skied like maybe like 10 times in my life. So it's not like my first rodeo. If you're a skater, which I know you are, it kind of helps a little bit. You're not going to be like fucking tripping out. Mm-hmm. But what a dangerous fucking sport. Like bro, there's times where I was like on the, not the bunny hill, but like the second easiest hill. And bro, like if you don't make that turn, like you're going straight into trees. Yeah, it's a, it's actually really dangerous, bro. Like it's a fucking, like I'm surprised it's not as like secure in the sense
where like there's security making sure that you're able to go on this hill or that hill. Dangerous sport, bro. Skiing, snowboarding, very dangerous. That's it. Like for me, like I'm like, yeah, like my cousin snowboarded, GT snowboards, Joey's a huge skier. Joey's been skiing his whole life. Should do it. Bro, Joey's going to New York actually for the Cleveland versus New York game next week. Cleveland NFL game. Yeah, he's going to see the Jets versus Cleveland game because you know, my cousin's best friend, Nick. Yeah, of course. His uncle does tailgating for the Jets. So like bro, this guy has a full blown like, you know, like those tailgates you see on IG Reels, smoking in the parking lot, everything. They do that every single weekend. Sick. And Nick and his family shot the fill. They go down and they had an extra ticket for my cousin. Uh, field passes as well. Wow. So they get to watch the game, go get smash, go eat good barbecue. And it's amazing. I told him I listen, bro, it's not going to be the best game in the world. But whatever. It's going to be a good game. I feel like it's two evenly matched teams. So it's going to be a, it's going to be a fun game, bro. That's a thing I'd like to do with you guys.
An NFL, yeah, NFL game would be super sick, especially if you go for the tailgate. It just sucks because I wouldn't really want to go to a Giants or Jets game. So like you have to go a bit outside, like maybe Philly would be really sick. Pittsburgh would be really sick. Um, Steelers game would be not. Yeah, Steelers would be in St. New England would be a pretty good game too. But the ultimate best I think would be going to Dallas, bro. Yeah. If you can go to Dallas, Texas to watch a fucking NFL game must be insane. And I don't like the Cowboys, but I wouldn't have a good field. Yeah, I would love to watch it. I would love to. It would be the Cowboys are an exciting team. So regardless if you're a fan or not, it's just, and that stadium is known to be like one of the fucking sickest ever. And you're in Texas, you can go ahead and some barbecue after the game, bro. Yeah, like that's a, that's a good weekend trip, bro. You get there maybe on the Thursday. It's expensive. Yeah, but that's worth it though. That's like a life experience, you know, like you're almost spending like fucking almost Europe money, bro, to go watch a fucking NFL game like, sounds good to me.
Come on, bro. You might think you're all be there. No, I do it every day. I like I do it every Sunday for free on my fucking couch. Yeah, I might as well experience the real thing. Yeah. My cousin had the opportunity two years ago to go watch the dolphins versus Cowboys on Christmas day. Yeah, um, at the hard rock stadium where we went from rolling them out. Yeah. Me said it was a fucking incredible. That's a beautiful stadium as well, newly built. Yeah. We love to go see that. But speaking about the Cowboys, we see CD this weekend, bro. CD LAM. 17 receptions. Yeah. 17 receptions. That's nasty. Yeah, the Cowboys and they got lucky in that win once again, bro. Like the Cowboys always sneak their way through and I think the same thing happened, bro. They had six plays on like the two yard line couldn't get in the end zone. Like it's just it's always the same story with the Cowboys. But they're an exciting team. Like I said, so you want to see them strive to do somewhat well, but, um, bro, food a lot versus the Texans this weekend. Like I would have rage like that would that that's a game like you have to leave there and get to and to it because then like I just hate like even like the Carolina Detroit game last night.
Like it's a good game, but bro, what horrible defenses, bro. Yeah, but like horrible. Like it's not even like fucking it's like bro, you guys NFL players, bro, like what's going on over and this suffer from the same thing. Both those teams of having shitty like passing defense, bro, we're like corner stink. Well, so like Carolina has really good cornerbacks. They're just both injured. Yeah. Yeah. And they also lost a couple of defensive linemen and offensive linemen yesterday. So that's going to hurt even more. But these injuries are, bro, I'm telling you football. We say it in every episode. Man, the injuries are, I don't know if you saw you checks injury yesterday. We're like a guy gave him a low hit or Jamar chase. The guy pulling his foot. Concussion protocol. What's going on? Yeah. Lamar Jackson and his uncle bro getting sick though. And obviously the hamstrings are just flying left right in center, bro, for everyone. So Rishi Rice hamstring. Like it's just every week. It's like who's going to fall next type thing, you know what I mean? Yeah, it's a scary game, bro. That's what I was talking about with my cousin, bro. It's probably the hardest sport to gamble on, bro, to assert an extent because of like, bro, you don't know like anything that's happening. Like that's why like that sport like I stay away from sports gambling as a whole.
Like it's just it's really hard to predict with injuries and chill like that. And I preferred for the actual game, but like, fantasy's fun, bro. Fantasy's fun because like you have a whole season to make your thing out. You do like a really like low amount so like you're never in trouble and like that. 100 bucks each, whatever. Yeah, no, it's cool. Just the only thing that sucks would fantasy are the injuries. Like look at Chris is team bro. Yeah, Chris got decimated fucking sucks, bro. Like it kind of ruins the the competition and the league, but it is what it is. But anyways, two music, Lou, you missed Kuevo's new album. Album of the year, a little key, bro. Did you listen to any of the beast? I should listen to any of the beast. I did unfortunately. Baby breath, bro. Not a source was house music, bro. That what he was singing the hook was this is the music you buy a house to. This is the music you buy it. Like that was like the whole point of the song was like, this is the type of sound that you would buy a house. And I'm like, bro, what are they? Like what are they flexing? Like it was literally house music. That's fucking yeah. Like when you're purchasing a house, he's insinuating that you should be playing.
Yeah. So like when I'm having a conversation with Joe broke because I want to buy a duplex, I have to be playing some Kuevo in the background to get the ambiance right. It's going to be a good first shit ever. It's just so sad because like on paper, you have a concise album, only 14 songs, executive produce by one of the best producers of all time. Good feature list. And it all turns to shit. I mean, we really be surprised. That's all Kuevo album. The guy never like hit with a solo album. And I know what I think Kuevo's we were singing in the reaction. Like Kuevo's performance is weren't even horrible, bro. Like he was actually like coming in and doing what like the most he could have done. At the beats were so bad that like bro, you could have had not spit like one of his best verses of all time. And it won't even matter because the beat is just horrible. Yeah. Like I saw a Tweet Go viral and it kind of replicated the sentiment that Nick and I had. Like I was just saying, but like this is NFL red zone music, bro, that they play in the commercials for a wingstop commercial or a door that. And that's literally everyone's sentiment. It's like what are we doing here? Like is this an album or are we making like commercial music? You know, and I think that was genuinely attempt to think because you listen to the hooks.
You listen to those cheap horns, bro, and like those triumphant abbeats, bro, that you would find an adored dash commercial. And yeah, it's like the, the, the, the, the, people lucky like the spicable me for all he was cooking with that same pop, you know what I mean? Yeah, I just would have been. Yeah, just trying to be a bit more aggressive and assertive, you know? And but you know what? Like I shouldn't be that surprised. I didn't fuck it out just because we've heard Kuevo and for all before, it's stir fry and I wasn't a fan of that. So maybe that should have given me like a clue that I wasn't going to like this too much. I want to say this though because Ferrell's catching a lot of flak right now, especially after the Pierre Bourne situation last week and people hearing the singles and then people actually getting the Kuevo album and being like, this is absolutely not it. He's still a fucking legend. We're still one of the greatest producers to ever do a blue. This was a conversation that I was having with you when it came to the boy one, the conversation. Not everything and not everything that he produces in my opinion is up to Mark, bro, there's some bad fucking produced albums from him in that catalog. There's bad produced hits and like I know that he has iconic hits,
but some of the greatest beats of all time, but it's a lot of bad stuff in that catalog. Yeah. Also some of the greatest work ever produced came from his hands, you know what I mean? So yeah, no, I think he's definitely above boy one. I mean, even just looking at like the album catalog and the fact that like he's associated himself fully producing entire albums track after track. Like he's more of like a doctor, drape level producer than a boy one that is in my opinion. No, boy one is the modern day. Dr. Draper with the way that he's able to come in and have it. Yeah, but yeah, but it's also like boy one that is like a drum like fucking expert. You know what I mean? Whereas a for all can bring in the samples. He can bring in different like synth style production was successful over multiple errors. There's way more to for else resumé than the risk to boy one. The where it's like a boy one, the beats always going to slap. The drums are always going to be amazing. The programming is top level. It's just for all has more to offer. No, I don't think so. Like, like, bro, boy one that has produce like mainstream pop hits that are completely out of the hip hop realm. Also, you kind of just perfectly describe what Dr.
Dre does. Dr. Dre is a master of his drums and bringing people in together and you had producers. For example, like Scott Storch or a Melman or M&M himself, like come in and do different things instrumentally. Like, and even at that, I don't know who's working on these beats for for all with him. It's definitely not all. Well, that's the thing too is that boy one that's always like boy one that and company. Whereas with for all you'll have entire beats produced solely by for all. Yeah, but he's just hiding credits and there's someone else there. Or is there like something else in the background? I'm just saying like if I really had to choose a catalog that I like, I'm going to go with boy one than that sense. And I shut up the for all those fucking legend. And of course, like, regardless of what I think about the production on the quaybo album, I'm still like, go to producer. It's about to be a fucking megos run apparently off stage, dropping an album this month. And then you have the megos final album. And then a take off watch miss album take off posh miss album, unconfused album all next year apparently. I doubt they're all going to drop in one year, but we'll see. Yeah, you're going to get like an offset in quaybo album, right? Is that what? No, quaybo take off.
Quaybo take off. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, that, that it sounds fun on paper. But what happens if this gets to a situation where for example, you have like a culture for I'll call it that for now. Another installment of the megos. I'm calling and I'm watching be called culture forever, bro. Like it's going to be fucking that's a good call. That would be hard for ever, but that would be still good. It wouldn't be good. It wouldn't work. That would work. That would be a shame thing you can do. Definitely work. It's like a bad boys for life, like fucking movie sequel type shit. But yeah, but that kind of works. But like my, my problem is, is that obviously like a lot of like everything that you're going to be getting from take offs part is going to be posh miss, right? Unfortunately, not here to create the rest in piece to a legend. And to me, it's like, if you're going to do the unconfused album, you're going to do this take off album and then you're going to do the culture. A lot more scraping. Are you doing a hamo like bro, what do we got? Yeah, rather they do a quave offset album and then get, you know, like some posh miss take off performances from whatever they have, rather than doing like an unconfused,
like you have a collab album where one of the artists passed away. Like it is a bit weird when you think of it in terms of how they're going to put that together. Yeah, unless like they somehow recorded so much material when they made their first album that there's like completed songs. Which there probably is. Which there probably is. Like for example, Mac Miller, like I keep being surprised that there's all these anniversary additions with new songs. I'm like, wow, like there really is a lot more like in the tuck that was finalized from start to end. We just didn't hear you yet. So you never know. It's just like it's right to think the way that you're thinking just because oftentimes you are scraping the bottom of the barrel with these posh miss albums. But what's what kind of run me the wrong way? I don't know if you guys saw this quave. It puts out an expanded addition of the album chrome life. And he adds like the hotel lobby should not have like come on, bro. Really? The marketing just for a couple like what thousand more dollars and streams that you're going to make off that like well, bro, you're supposed to with with Cardi B, you know, and Cardi B is the master of that, that fucking strategy. So I guess so.
And he was like that song feels so far attached from like all of this new stuff that we're getting from Cuevo and that's for sure like a label call. Like I think maybe that's just out of his hands or even if it isn't like weird move, but that gives you kind of the vibe of like what this new run maybe is going to look like and what kind of cash grabs you might see in the future. So to me, it's like, bro, I just hope these projects are good. Because like if we're going to do this whole run one last time and it's going to come out like shit, then we might as well just not do it, bro, you know? Yeah, I agree. Well, we'll have to wait and see. I mean, I think as long as for else not on that, I think we're in. Get some more DJ Derella in here, bro. Let's get to the real. Not only that, but going back to the Mac Miller situation, have you guys listened to the Divine Feminine bonus tracks? Have you guys done it? No, I did. I haven't done it yet. How are they? Well, maybe I'll be within a reaction stream. So maybe I'll put a couple of songs in there. Pretty good. Yeah, I mean, it's all it definitely feels like it was all made for the Divine Feminine
era. It's a romantic writing. It's a lot of soulful, smooth sounding Mac Miller, nice singing on there. It really does feel like it's part of that sound. So yeah, that's great. Well done. But I find their strategy to be so unique in the sense that like, for example, they attack it from a place where if they're going to put out the music, it's either attached to an era that's already been launched in a part of his catalog. So we saw it for good aim. We saw it for faces. We just saw it for the Divine Feminine. Or it's a project that already got completed that the fans really want to see. And now, which is like, okay, we'll do a couple of touch ups and we'll put this out here. So I think that's why the reception around their release has been so fucking positive because it feels like Mac Miller would release this one day, you know? And then you get the vinyl sets next to it. You get exclusive merchandise. Really cool stuff all around it, you know, rather than like, you know, we're doing this whole like new farewell tour for Mac Miller. We're just going to understand the fan base. Yeah, I mean, and they play into it super, super respectfully and well.
But to switch the conversation, I'm going to read a comment from last week's audio podcast, Joey, shout out, Joey. I don't really have an answer to this, but you guys will have to do with new emerging artists. He said, had to comment on the convo at the end of the podcast while the new music is not innovating and not transformative for the genre. Someone who listens and finds a lot of new artists from the hip hop content creators, it goes a long way for you guys suggesting and gassing underground albums. We don't hear anything outside of the kens and other rage because it's our jobs as fans and the creators to push forward some fire new artists that should go up in the mainstream scene. So my question to you guys is obviously when we speak about the new generation of artists, we're talking about the kens a lot of the time. We're talking about the destroy lonely's a lot of the time, the yeets. I mean, that's kind of what's carrying this new age we could say. But some artists or albums that you guys have underground in the hip hop scene that you think has potential or should deserve more spotlight.
Yeah, and I agree that we don't constantly speak about up and coming rappers, but there are moments where we do we did a post on capital A on Instagram and we've played his music in streams and stuff like that. He's an artist that I'm really looking out for. Apart from that, Samarro Sin is someone else I think is really talented. I found her when she did her remix of Erica, but do back on IG a year ago or so. Who else? Larizia is someone that we did an album reaction for, which I didn't fuck with too much, but he's someone else's way thing has a lot of talent. Got a cosine from J. Cole and shit. I think he's on his way. And yeah, what about you aunt? Anyone else you want to shout out? Well, it's funny. I was just on the, because our boy Mark looks, he's someone that's bubbling up really heavily on the West Coast now and like, bro, his monthly listeners are going into the hundreds of thousands. His new single is about to hit half a million. He put it all like two weeks ago and kind of a similar trajectory or path that like easy. Chike is taking right now. And he sent me his new album left coast musical.
I have it in front of me right now. Yeah, I'm telling you guys, bro, like this album is fucking great, bro. If you guys like that left coast, let, yeah, left coast musical, left coast musical, left coast. It's not out on DSP. He's releasing it soon. So I want you guys to go check that out because that's going to be a great fucking album and to to Jev also UK rapper who's been doing this thing for a while should get more recognition than he does. Who else is I going to say? My name is in J. Mac. If someone who we've covered extensively, he was in our end of the year list last year, I believe. Marko plus as well, we've put on for D2X, D2X and the so like we do as much as we can in the sense of like I also, I do you guys agree with this is a problem out, at least for media brand owners is that now like as soon as you try to promote a new artist, it automatically comes off as promo, bro, where like people are just like the fuck is this, you know, and then like obviously that's not a, that's not something that you want to see, whatever the case may be. So do you think a lot of content creators just like it is a struggle.
Yeah, it's because like you want to like as someone who's commentating on the genre, as someone that people look to as a good taste maker, you do want to provide, you know, good curation, you know, good recommendations, whatever the case may be, but at the same time, you still want your community to be engaged with your content. And yeah, it's, it's often hard to like create content about, you know, smaller artists, let's say, and still maintain that engagement and that community receptiveness. So, and I think just to add on to that, it's like a lot of the times if a platform, not like us per se, but anyone that wants to talk about an underground artist, people don't give a fuck. Yeah. And then a lot of the communities or just, you know, can music consumers are going to be like, oh, well, you never spoke about X, Y and Z, well, we did, you just didn't give a fuck and didn't see the post when we did. Yeah, that's it. So I think that kind of challenges ourselves as creators is how can we highlight and shine a light on these new artists in a way that are going to get people intrigued and get people engaged that obviously doesn't then create the concern of like, oh, this is
some promo or you guys. Because then those narratives are the artists, right? Because like no one wants to see like their favorite artists or underground artists go have to pay for promo, whatever it is. And I agree with them. Like, that's not the way to do it. And then it's a struggle, right? Because let's say you are in touch with an artist and you really want to help him. You're like, well, like I fucking love this album. And like obviously no charge like it's curation. Like I'd love to put my audience on. But now you put that post out there and now all the, let's say, reception around that one post becomes what you guys are frauds. You guys are just promoting for the bag. Now I'm doing, but now I'm doing the artists that I love at this service by just being like, yo, guys, go check this out. Like that's how crazy this has become. So it creates this impossible barrier to get around. But I think we've taken some steps to see her and trying to find the right solutions to do so. So you guys in the comments want to give us suggestions and shit that we could do. Please do so. But even at that, like you were saying, Lou, like the live reaction streams on Mondays, how much underground shit do we play there and that we get from our community and that we directly react to?
Like that's what I'm saying. Like the whole reception to around us of like, we only listen to mainstream shit. Bro, like I was uploading the, the Patreon catalog with you back in February and I was going through the Alms and I'm like, holy fuck, we've listened to like everything, bro. Yeah. Like there's literally our streams, bro, and artists that you probably don't know about that we've done for our Patreon community and that we've put out there for your viewing. Yeah. That's it. And oftentimes even with the end of the year list, that's a great way to get put on because you'll usually get a couple placements within those lists of like, lesser and no one albums and shit. So even the push that we did for the ice cold bishop album and how much we championed that album, at least on your end, Lou, like that was fucking great as well. But that's it. It's easy. We put out so much content on a week to week basis that the ones that usually hit or go viral are obviously not speaking about like a nice cold bishop. So like it creates this thing of all you guys are talking about is like Don Toliver and Drake and Kanye. But there's obviously so much within the catalog. I think that's just the result of us grinding and putting out so much content. But we have some cool concepts too.
Like we don't need to go into details, but like finding the next hip hop superstar, like type of white room concept that we've spoken about behind the scenes and how we would do that whole thing. We have a fucking sick way to put on for talent that nobody even knows about. We have some cool shit that we're cooking up and I think it's just the question of getting it done and doing it in a way that makes a lot of people want to watch it. I think that's kind of the challenge as a creator, but that's our job. That's our job. That's what we have to do. One of the biggest events over the weekend was complex con. Yes, yes. Some of them went down. What a mess. Yeah, big disaster. Prayers up for Lucky, bro. Yeah. I wasn't sure if it was the face or the neck, the neck, that's what I read. Crazy shit just in a brawl with his entourage and Carty's entourage apparently don't really know what the story is there, but hopefully he's okay. It sucks that you're at an event for the fans to celebrate music, to celebrate artists. And something that's supposed to be about unity turns into a fucking disaster like that.
So yeah, the result was poor. It's a shame too. It's like that's just that's the biggest PR of the entire weekend, right? And I think that was literally the biggest part of complex con was that was that whole thing. And you know, complex con is a great fucking place to go. If you want to connect, we've always been too far from Los Angeles. So we've never had the opportunity to make it out there, but just seeing the reception online, people that we know that help organize it and people from our own community that have been positive reception all the way. So I wouldn't want you guys to think that that incident now taints it. But let's say I'm putting myself in the shoes of complex con now and I got to do the marketing for the next year. This is something that I don't want attached to my future events, bro, because then it raises, you know, security, safety concerns. If I'm an artist, I don't want to work a complex con. Clearly, the security wasn't up to fucking par. And also, I don't know if you saw a certain, I saw a video of like, Cardi just walking into like his section or just walking into the storm. And the storm of kids, bro.
Like the, the stand culture's gotten out of control. It's a fucking liability for the artists for the teams. Clearly they didn't have their shit properly running in terms of protecting the artists. And it's, it was a mess, bro. It looks like a fucking mess. They got to figure it out, bro. They got to figure it out at a certain point. Because even if let's say you're a content creator out there and you want to go out there and someone doesn't like your music taste after and decides to be violent with you, like, what control do you really have over that while you're walking in the general public? You know, so some woozy fans are going to come after you, but no. Yeah, they're going to watch out for that for the woozy fans of the pitchforks. But something that was hilarious, I mean, it's just the most random panel ever. So there was Jordan from Complex, which shot out to him, great guy. Yeah. But next to him, you had Adam 22, French Montana, like, is that, oh my god, that was the panel for holy shit. This is the most random shit. Like entertainment at my conversation about music. This has been I'm speaking of that. They'll have a quote from academics talking about the fall off.
And he was kind of praising Isoman as being out of the year and saying that he was let down by the fall off. I was never no super fan of him because I knew that he wasn't like that in terms of him being an MC. It's not about talent because I think he has talent. But when we look at the top rappers in the game, you have to have the one that will be number one talking about basketball. We brined had it. Cole is more like, well, got Kauai. Whatever that means, bro, whatever that fucking means. But that's just going to happen. I think short ass panels where you can only get off so much than French Montana has to promote like a new to killer or something. And then Adam 22's. On time, Adam 22, that's fucking crazy. That's fucking nuts. You know, and then Adam 22 has to speak about how his girl got smashed by Drake and then poor Jordan up there. Bro was probably like, dude, like, what do I even speak? Hey guy, we've met Jordan before. Huge supporter of his word. Yeah, I'm sorry. That makes a sorry to cut you off with a speak on his comments. Like, but the guy has an OVO change. Yeah. Like, is he really like giving his true transparent opinion?
Like, obviously not. Obviously not. Like, you know what I mean? He's obviously going to like Drake is a friend to him. Like he's very openly said that. So obviously he's going to rock with his friend, bro. You know what I mean? Like, it's just what it is. And within that conversation, you need to put Cole's album down. If you want to put Drake's album above, and that's what he did. And I think for any regular hip hop music listener to say that Iceman is above the falloff quality wise, like you're insane. Yeah. I think you're insane. Like I think the falloff really is album of the year. And I think it's it's way ahead of Iceman, like super ahead. I just don't understand like if you're going to let's say you do have that take, right? Which in my opinion, it's an opinion, right? And you could have that opinion, right? But let's break it down, bro. You know, what did you like better about Iceman and comparison to the falloff? What doesn't make Jake Cole that guy for you? Why is Jake Cole co-high Leonard? Like, instead of formulating, let's say, you know, these sentences that are very vague.
I know you would answer you. He threw in the white towel for the battle. That would be his argument. You know, he's like speaking about the news. Jay Zee, not one of the greatest of all time because he lost the battle in 2001 to Nas. I don't I don't understand, you know, I don't I don't get it. So do you give more points to Kendrick now and start praising him because he went to battle with Drake? And now like he pulled off a great move in 2024. Well, they'll never say that. But I'm just saying like that's what I don't enjoy. Let's say from certain comment areas, like given analysis and a breakdown is the production speaks to you more. Is it the writing, bro? Did you like the full circle moment? What was it that actually pushed it over the edge? Not just like this guy doesn't have it. Kobe Bryant played basketball at one point. Then I feel like he's quite Leonard. Thanks, bro. Yeah, I know. Quiet Leonard want to chip in 2019. Like even at that, it's kind of counterintuitive to what you're saying at this point. You know, so yeah, it's like you said, it's all subjective role. Like someone could think Iceman is, but like I'm obviously like exaggerating when I say you're insane.
If you think fucking Iceman is better than the fall off, like it's fine. You know what I mean? You could have your opinion. But to discredit any of the projects, I think is the wrong direction to go. And I feel like he was like almost like a little growing fucking J cool to a certain extent where it's like, bro, come on. Yeah, he's kind of had it off for him for a while. Yeah. And that's kind of academics is whole personality, bro. He's kind of like echoing a lot of the same feelings and sentiments that it appears that Drake has. You know what I mean? Like I've seen him champion a lot of artists that Drake is cool with. And I've seen him, you know, go after a lot of artists that he isn't cool with. But it is what it is. It is what it is. I mean, he's clearly doing something right in his opinion, bro. Like he's like, he's doing what he's doing. Yeah, it's just like as a fan, I'd rather listen to somebody who seems to be unbiased. You'll never really know, but like someone like a Joe Biden, for example, I'd rather go to his opinion on a new album that just dropped or whatever the case may be because. He's been genuine, bro.
He's always been genuine from the beginning from the like that's someone that you can buy his fucking opinion. So yeah, and on just I was watching it with Bruce like the clip with him and Yadi, like the fucking viral clip where Joe Biden's going fucking like he's raging. And he was like chill. Like you could literally hear it in his voice, bro. Like how passionate he is about what he's talking about that. Well, you can't buy that guy's opinion. No, I mean, that guy's going to stand on what he feels and what he thinks. And he's going to give credit when he has to give credit. I've seen him do that a lot. 100%. That's it. Even to Drake, who's like bad mouthed them a million times, he'll give him credit when it's to do 100%. He's real. But that's what that's what you have to do. And I think as an artist, let's say from the artist perspective, right? That's what's right. Oh, one of my stepping on here, stepping on something. Yeah. Like as an artist, if you see that and like you start getting cheese about the opinions or whatever it is and like now you start, you know, buying out platforms and you start like talking in ears and stuff like that. Like what do you like what's this all for? You know, like what's like what are we doing here, bro? It's like example, Steven A Smith commenting on game seven, bro, of an NBA finals, bro,
of Golden State played like shit, Golden State played like shit, bro, not because your boys would step curry and you got to, you know, go to his house on Sunday, bro, you're going to do something different, you know, like that's now it's here. Like is your job to be friends with the guys? You're your job to put out what you feel as a content creator, you know? And that's where I feel like we've always kind of been in and like that's why we have the label as Drake lasers. Then the Drake fan don't fuck with us because when we were real about it, they don't like the opinion, same thing with Kendrick. It's crazy because like you'll get the same reception both ways from every fan base, bro. For sure. And I think like in Joel Budden's case or our case, for example, I think that's, that's the best way to do it in a certain extent, right? So yeah, no, it's, uh, it's really interesting. Like maybe I'm just not tapped in like that with a lot of like the niche communities, let's say, and sports or film, but I feel like it's almost as if music fans of an artist versus sports fans of an athlete. There's more of like a defensiveness that comes with the music fans. I don't know if it's because they feel closely connected to them or whatever the case may
be, but unless it's messy versus Ronaldo, yeah, unless it's one of those arguments for sure. But you've been at that like, you know, but it's like the discourse seems healthier. Like it seems like like MJ versus LeBron, that's a fucking debate as old as time, but it's always like people are actually bringing points to the table and like constructive. Yeah, it goes somewhere. You know, it's a music. It's just, it's toxic. It's just really toxic. But I think it's because there's less of a, it's sort of a gray area, right? Because in, in sports, like the stats are everything, right? Like it, it's a result driven, bro. And there's that whole conversation around it. But with music, like if someone tells you, fuck you, bro, the song isn't good, but you have a personal connection to it for whichever reason, right? That's your perspective. Then you're going to feel attacked as a human being, bro, you know? And I also noticed a lot of content creators will try to stick to one fan base, bro, and be sort of the voice for that one fan base to try to like at least get in the good graces
of their artists. Like I've seen that a lot in the community where it's like, I hope I get recognized by this artist. And I hope we do things in way. Like their life mission is to get a follow or something, you know? Like that's, but that's, I guess okay, bro, if like you're, you know, you're doing it part time or you run a fan page, whatever. But like if it's your job and like you're treating this as an enterprise and something that's serious and like you're going to build a career out of this, then the approach has to be completely different at the end of the day, right? Because truth be told, like these artists don't give a fuck about you, bro. Like they absolutely don't, bro. Like for them, it's their cap, it's their music, and rightfully so that's the way it should be. They make the product, but you're going to get reception from the public, go back in again and just get that job done for what you need to do to whatever you want to do, right? So yeah. No, I agree. It's definitely a fun state in the music media world and just how the fans are. We speak about it every week. Like it's just what it is. And I think for the people that truly know us, like the OG fans, like the ones that are
probably listening right now, you guys know what it is. And you guys know what our mission is at least, you know what I mean? To bring good, healthy, constructive conversations. And that doesn't mean we're going to glaze and love everything. We will dislike things, but in some form and manner of respect, you know, give constructive criticism in the form of our opinion, you know what I mean? And to whatever that's worth, I mean that's sort of our goal. A lot of people disagree with that. A lot of people would disagree with this. Like I think for us, like we get a, because of the role, it's because it clips in things that go viral. And we're all out of context things like that's like media as a whole, you know what I'm like. And we're all guilty of it. Like I'll see a clip about a person that goes viral and I'm like, wow, this guy's a fucking idiot, you know what I mean? I don't know what the fuck that guy's investing like 20 hours of his week, every week to make this type of content. And I'm basing a 20 second clip on this guy's entire fucking intention. Like I don't even know what it is. But I limit myself from going to that extent because of the viral clip that I saw.
So I feel like that's the case if you're trying to say when people disagree, that's for sure. That's with social media as a whole. That's it. But that's kind of the game that we're in, bro. If you're a contiguator or a journalist at this point, you have no choice but to be in that lane or else like, it just, we're not in 2006 anymore, you know, like you got to, you got to be able to put yourself out there and get the content going out. But I think, like you said, Lou, like it's a bit of a different vibe than the film industry because even like some film stuff that I see online, like people are people to assert and extend their kind of like always not unanimous. But like if a movie shit, like the community is always going to say it shit, bro. If a movie is really fucking good, you might think it's slightly overrated or you didn't like certain scenes, but you could be like, yeah, I understand what it is, right? I think for us, there's no middle ground, bro. Like it's in 2024, I feel like kind of fried that to assert and extend. Like Kendrick could put out the best album of the year. You're going to have fans on one side of the fan base that are going to say, well, fuck this is garbage. And then same thing if Drake puts out a great fucking album, you're going to go one side
of the fan base. This is what you're glazing like shit's awful, you know, so like there's no middle ground anymore in the opinion. Yeah, I think I think it is also a case that there is a bit more communication on the artist's part to the fans than there is in any other industry where it's like there's this unspoken relationship where the artists will say, bro, buy my shit on iTunes, do this for me. Like buy this. Like there's more products at play and like there's just there's this. Undying loyalty that a lot of fans have to the artists where they're going to love anything. It could be shit on a plate, bro. That smells good to them, you know, like and they're going to eat it up. So it's it's interesting. It's interesting. Interesting. I'm interesting ecosystem to buy into, but let's continue with the gunna glaze. So good news. Gunna's going to be dropping a new song pop at this Friday. Seems like the start of a rollout. There we go. I'm done. Should I play you guys a snippet that we just posted? How about that? I'm going to make a phone. It's only a for all B right now.
That's all it is. That's all we get. That's all we get. See what? See if I can find something more exciting. It's going viral right now though. People are people are down already. You already know gunna is going to be floating on that. People are hungry. Browsing push ups on his on the side of his convertible. What a bad thing in the fucking. He's awesome. Sick fuck. Yeah, awesome, bro. Love what this guy does. Yeah, no, I'm here for for a new gunna project. A couple of bangers, you know, we could expect. I think he's he's good at least giving us that. You know what I mean? Some songs we could love and enjoy. Songs that take over the year, bro. The guy puts out fucking chart topping songs every year with stupid streams. So see what gunna has in store. More gunna and don tea would be really nice. I don't know if that ever happens though, but like that would be a. Even gunna and offset I find are pretty like pretty pretty decent duo. Yeah, that would be a pretty good collab. I'm gunna offset. And it's been cool to see the way that he's been able to navigate the industry, especially
after everything that happened with Thugback and like what was it 2023? That collab album, collab album is still going to come. That collab album. It's in the it's in the works. Now there's the rules. The rules are in the rules. Trust me, bro. The part is the cardigan thug album rumor. Now if you guys saw that. Did you guys see that? I guess, but I didn't see that. So basically they were giving away CDs a complex con that said young thug and a cardie like CD or disc one or whatever. Well, is there anything on that CD or they just give it out of the money? There was like a short snippet of one song or something, but I feel like this was like if this was 10 years ago, bro, you would have had me. You know what I mean, but in 2026, I think it's a bad move for Cardi, honestly. I think like for Thug, it's like, he has nothing to lose at this point. It's fucking amazing for him to go and do a collab album with with Cardi, but I don't even really see the sounds blending well in terms of what that one song on dilid. That was okay. What was it? I think it was something my chop or something. Yeah. I love that song.
I just again, that was like thug and way better. 2018. And that was a whole different type of cardie too. Like the whole rage sound cardie that we have now with Thug, I don't even see how that mixes. I don't think it's going to mix that way. I think like because you saw Cardi do the ATL trapezoid music, I think it's that word that they would play into, but I still don't think that that's going to be a good pairing bro. Well, I think Thug's going to get to the point where like his stock is so low that he's like, I have to do the collab album with Gunnaboo. That's where I will. Honestly, I don't know if I even wish anymore. I don't know. No, that would actually go fire. That would be a crazy collab album. That would save Thug right now. I think the Cardi and Young Thug, what are we talking about here, bro? It's not like Ned's been the need to putting out an album. No, no, no. Obviously not. I'm going to check out for it. I just don't think it's going to be that great. Like I'm not excited about it. I would have been excited for that. 2019 or something. Yeah, I would obviously still be excited. Do I think it's going to be like a fire ass collab album? Probably not. Probably not, but maybe like bro, like I think the thug song on music was the worst
song on the album, arguably. It was not good. But this is Cardi's whole stick, bro. Announce like a fucking collab album or hint that one and then don't do it. He did it with Ye. He did it with fucking YB at one point. I would love to get that at Ye and Cardi collab album. That'll take you already. You already know it's going to be so fucking. Yeah. Yeah. So basically nothing will excite you guys ever at this point. I kind of feel like, no, I do. Yeah, you're right. You guys want to fucking. I'm excited for Gunnab. I'm excited for music. I want a J-Cool and Logic album. I want Little Sims and Capital A. Like fuck, bro. Honestly, I'll take that over for someone. That would be hard. Yeah, it would probably be good. That would be good. Capital Sims and Capital Sims would be a serious name for that. Yeah. That would be, yeah. Thanks, bro. All right. We will be listening. What was he going to say, fuck? Oh, yeah. And you skipped the first skeptic whole album in like six years. I'm there. Come in. See list. I've never listened to a skeptic album. I saw Nick's react. No.
This is like, okay, bro. We're going to get comments in the chat. You guys just fucking hate on everything. No, I'm. This guy actually doesn't care about it. You're fucking leasing his last solo album. I like it. I think it's an ignorance bliss. Okay. It was good. Very good. Nice. He's cool for his cool for 10 like he cares about. And you skeptic music. When did I ever say I didn't care about? I'm just reacting to Nick's reaction. I'll take the off. You know what? I said it was happening. I just said nice. I don't know. You're going to start doing fucking jumping jacks, bro. No, you're getting that. Thanks. I was just waiting for it's a boy and I think it all matters. Nothing else matters to me in my life. Time to meet to continue larping and I'm just going to go in a different genre one day. That's it. I'm a secret country music lover. That's where I'm going to go. Yeah, anything else in your guys then? The thing we cover. I mean, Coachella. There's obviously rumors of fucking Drake headlining Coachella, which goes into a bar that he said on whisper my name. Coachella is just in the middle of the desert, bro. You have to fucking have serious money to go to Coachella if ever you do.
We did that trip once. We did it once. $100 burger and fry lunch. Was it that actually happened? Yeah. It's not normal, bro. It's really not fucking normal. Boy, the middle of the desert, what are you going to do? You thought it can't do anything? Can do anything about it. That's crazy. Get everyone to come in, bro. 80 bucks for torrentilocquer for the day. Yeah. Oh my god. That's a. That's just that's horrible. It's robbery. That's that's not fun. I would never do that. I would never. And Sizzle working on a new album. That's a other big news. He's always working on a new album. Yeah. There's always a new update about that that I feel like knee leads to nothing. I'm surprised Dolcey didn't drop this year. Yeah. I mean, you know what? That was one I was expecting to come out. And I feel like she's been silent as fuck. That's a fuck. Yeah. And not even a feature like I haven't heard anything. I think she's probably just readjusting after like all the hate that she got. And like trying to figure out like how do I not get boxed into like this one song and like. I don't know. It's it's going to be interesting to see how she maneuvers. But yeah, you go back and you take the lane that's in front of you to go completely pop.
And this is because you know she could do it. She could do it. Or are you doing it? Or do you go back and you you go to a place where you're releasing like something that fuels adjacent to alligator bites never heal. That's an interesting career path to be in. I feel like the best of artists make the best of decisions in that moment where it's like to you're on the brink of mainstream. And you know you have to go there. It's inevitable. But how do you still please the main fan base and continue to appeal to your community? And there's a lot of people that have done it. I think do what you do with alligator bites never heal. Like give people a fucking bouquet of everything, bro. Give them the pop hits, give them the rap hits, give them the fucking 80s old school inspired storytelling shit. Like whatever you want to do creatively. Like it worked on that project. Keep doing what you do. Like keep being like free creative. I feel like she was very like free on that album or mixtape. Keep doing that. And she probably felt like she was free through anxiety. Like they knew it. I think they knew would be a big song, but I didn't think they would know. That big. That nuclear. But like especially that it was like a song that she did as a freestyle like years ago and then just touched up later.
And put on the visual. Yeah. It was like that clip that just went crazy. And then she had to move accordingly to make it have a proper release and all that. Interesting shit there. What about the FOMO shit? Obviously we heard it when the stream happened, but listening back in the reaction. What was that like for you guys? Good songs, honestly. I think we enjoyed every single one of the songs. They're not songs that I'm going to revisit per se. But I do feel I know you didn't feel this way for both Don Toliver features. But I think Don Tee got Drake twice, bro. I agree. And I never thought I would say it and shout out to Don Toliver because we praise him all the time in terms of him just having a good year. But it's a good year blended with good quality shit. I mean, so yeah, good songs. I think even the what's the other song that doesn't have Don Toliver. Not Quebec. A classic part too. Yeah, pretty fucking good, bro. The second part of the classic part too that I just wished that he brought the sample back in because that was my favorite part of that song on the original album. But his vocals sound really good on the second half of classic part too.
No, it's a good song, honestly. That was a top two out of the four for me. I like that in Cold Shoulder the most. Cold Shoulder Don Toliver. Yeah, with Yebba in the back. No, we need. No, we need. No, we need. No, we need. No, we need. Fuck. Never happening. You have it, though. You already have it going, song. Yeah, it just sounds like this. It's not the same. It's never the same. Yes, it is. Why not? You guys, you're a sure what, bro. I play my song, shit all day every day. I don't know. Like, it feels like a song that deserves a moment. The deserves a release. Like, you want the artist to like make a moment out of that song coming out. But that moment would have been a moment if you would have released it on some video. Yeah, that's the thing. Now that's it. It's almost like 10 years old now, the song. That's it. Let people enjoy it on SoundCloud or any unreleased streaming platform. And then that's what the song is now at this point, right? It's like, it's Travis ever going to put out STP extended. No. That's it. But they were close to releasing the title, bro. It's what's interesting. Track list. Yeah. And they just scratched it out. It's not like it was like, it's not an STP extended situation.
I get what you guys are saying. We'll see. We'll see what happens. Anything else before we wrap it up? No, that's it, man. I think that's it for the reason. I think that's it, guys. I mean, as always, stay tuned. A lot of cool content coming your guys's way. More studio videos, more white room videos coming your guys's way. Obviously, these, we do them every single Tuesday. You know what it is. Yeah, just much love to everybody that comes in. Week in, week out. I feel like this is, yeah, this is the longest form content you guys can get from us. Like this is an hour fucking unscripted loose convos. Leave a review if you guys are enjoying it. Five star rating, you know, the deal. Much love. We'll catch you next week. Peace.
