Welcome to the Amanitox podcast and be a host for Amanitox in this podcast. You have a lot of your five soft skills public speaking, storytelling, social dynamics, emotional intelligence, creativity, five soft skills for you to change your life forever, skyrocket your confidence among the way. In today's episode, I'm going to be talking about a skill set that people admire and others. This is when you are willing to meet someone face to face, especially when they are trying to confront you. This happened recently with Stephen A. Smith, who went into Jamel Hill and Kerry Champions Show. Those two were going to confront Stephen A. Smith for a lot of his past misbehavior. Stephen A. Smith said, Sure, I got all the time in the world. And he ended up talking to them for three hours. This is something that the audience respected. Afterwards, you could tell that the audience looked at Stephen A. Smith favorably while they looked at Kerry and Jamel unfavorably.
They thought Kerry and Jamel were pretty mean to him, while they said that Stephen was brave for showing up in the first place. This happened a couple of years ago when Britney Renner showed up to the No Jumper podcast. It's one thing if you do it via a Zoom call. It's completely different when you show up their face to face. People respect that. So if you're one of those people that is being challenged by a multitude of people and you actually meet them face to face, it wins a lot of respect. Maybe there will be certain times that you are stuttering or you have blank thoughts, but the mere fact that you showed up even when you knew that there was going to be confrontation shows that you have courage and other people love courage. Remember this psychology principle whenever someone is confronting you, challenging you to a public debate. If you run away, that's the easy choice, but other times you need to show up regardless.
Thank you very much for joining me and I will catch you next time.
