For a lot of it, the turnovers were somewhat of a byproduct of it. But LA made it tough on them in the trenches in this game. And some of the turnovers came from that. Others are just like the King Cade play. What do you do about it? I don't know what you do about it. Yeah, I think, you know, you say the same thing about the cook play and even the cook fumble from week one. Or like, it's, you're getting caught from behind. And I think some awareness of the situation is in order there. Like to me, Cade, you know, there's a fine line. You want to get every yard you can. And he made a couple of people miss and extended that play by a good 10 or 12 yards. But by the time that ball gets popped out of there,

4:03he is absolutely done getting people off of him. Like he's, he's correct. And yeah, that's just a moment where, if you, and maybe he's about to do it. But he's just a fraction late, getting the second arm over it. Go get to the ground, whatever you got to do. I mean, you, again, great effort. I'm sure he's thinking, I mean, I can, I can get away from another couple of guys here and score. But yeah, I mean, just some more awareness. Like nobody, what are you going to do with cook, right? I mean, you're not, you're not, he's the defending rushing leader in the lead at 154 yards today. You're not going to stop using him because he's fumbled twice in three games. I don't think. I thought there was a chance going into the summary that he could beat out Harrison for that job outright. But if Benford's going to miss any time, he's obviously pressed into service. And yeah, he had a couple of passes defense,

6:04or at least one pass defense today, at a big break up of the pass. In the limited time, he was on the field, in the Houston game, in the opener. I didn't really see him that much against Detroit, to be honest with you. But yeah, I mean, good job when called on. Despite the uniform he came through. He wasn't. He wasn't someone who was just sort of shrinking from the moment because he had to wear that gray suit. So he got to give him credit for that. I think a lot of guys, that probably accounts for a lot of what's at A's mess really was about. You had to wear that in public. They made you. Not really what I signed up for. They didn't even fit. Why were the jerseys all like up here, and the pants were too much belly? As bad as they looked, it was even worse than that, because they didn't even fit. How do you get that wrong? Eric is next. And like, I'm happy to, I'm on the New England here. Like, you know, awesome two game lead on the Patriots. And the Jets and the Dolphins. Yes. Miami's three back. They're in trouble now. And the lost each end. But, you know, I, I, it seems to me. I, I, I am not upset at all that they won the game. And, you know, I'll get over how sloppy they were. Holy, and to have only at that time, I think 13 points on the board is credit. Or 10 defense. I think they played the right opponent for that. Clearly, because the chargers were not in a position to capitalize enough on the gifts that they were given. And I do, I say gifts. I mean, I think, you know, you're not gonna fumble out. You know, you've made a play, right? Those plays were all forced fumbles. The interceptions, I mean, Alvin Allen sees the guy on the first one and the second one, I mean, more is just two got, there's two defenders that's open.

14:16That's just a, that's a, you know, I don't know. That's an arm punt ostensibly. And, you know, it's a wild play. Is more, I think you said while we're watching it happen and I'm watching the replays, more I think went into like defender mode there. Yeah. And if he had stayed thinking as I can make this catch, I think he's gonna make the catch. I thought that. I think the guy who makes the interception sort of overruns it by a step or two and ends up coming back. And more is maybe taking his lead from him. He thinks, I don't know if he thinks he can't get there, whatever it is, I think the ball is kind of coming right to him. And if he had just, again, here I am at a bar telling you what I think PJ Moore should have done. But I think it's there, but he goes into defense mode and then the ball is bounced around and ends up in the other guy's lap. So kind of a fluky play. I mean, in general, again, I think the turnover thing takes care of itself. It's not every week. I mean, they fumbled twice in Houston

15:18and had two near-miss interceptions that Houston dropped. Like, that's the same game, it's the same team. You know, but sometimes the bills didn't think today to recover their fumbles. They should have thought of that. Again, the Jersey's probably a distraction, I don't know. But they got away with it. I think we're talking about LA like their Miami. I think, again, I want to say, it's really just the little things that the bills, and I think it's Alan most, but they just don't, they don't blow it like other teams do with clock decisions. And I mean, jumping, it's not Alan that would have done this. It's not Herbert that did this, but the two twice on the same series near the end zone, they had fall starts. That kind of thing turns touchdowns into field goals. Second and goal at the one. That's three quarterback sneaks. You're almost 99.9% to score. Instead, fall start, and this quarterback, as big as he is,

16:21doesn't really pose that threat. I mean, there's just no bull, it seems, in Justin Herbert. I mean, it's just kind of like, like Lawrence was. Last year, talking about that playoff game, like, just, you know, kind of, do you have another place that you're willing to go physically? Because our guy goes there every week. Yeah, physically and mentally, like, you know where the first down marker is. You know where you have to get to on fourth down scrambling. That's the big play from the Jacksonville playoff game. Last year, I think you were. Yes, to Lawrence about. And yeah, I'm not sure Herbert. I'm not sure he has that, I don't think he has that chip. They had a play early. So there are seven nothing right away. The cook fumble, seven nothing. They get the ball again, probably another turnover, right? And they're deep. And on whatever play it was, I wish I had it written down. Some sort of goal to go play, they go wide to keep and Mitchell. And like, okay, well, that could work.

17:22But it's not really Ryan Paganetti would hate it. To put it one way, he would hate it. Like just, one thing football teams like to be proud of is showing off their being able to beat you and man to man up front. And I think this chargers team looked like they might have been capable of doing that today, especially on defense against the bills interior line. But then you go do, you know, you sort of running plays like that. And there's another one that turned into a field goal. They also missed a field goal today. That was, you know, makeable distance, dick or the kicker. So I just, it really is just all hindsight because of the final score. It's like in those moments, you just don't see the bills. Yes, the turnover is that's more, that's a physical, those are physical mistakes. But you don't see them really give away plays and yards. Like a lot of teams do, they play do. And I think it's easy to say that when you're playing a team

18:23like the bills and you're an underdog and you know, like, you know, you've got to be really at your very best to win the game. And that's some added pressure that you don't really need. I don't think they're terrible. I don't think they're going over nine. But for a team with the coaching staff that they have that get so much credit, I don't know. 19:27So I'm excited about that. I hope more isn't super hurt. There's no James Cook problem. Okay. At all. And there's no Josh Allen problem. They had a tough day and they still won. I'm excited about that. L.A. chargers came in, you know, they're all in two. They're like, they're probably mad. They came in. They came to play. They went up early and the bills handled business at the end of the game. So yeah, there's a lot of key takeaways to bring, you know, honestly, the bills probably needed a smack in the mouth from the first two weeks of being really good. And, you know, everybody, you know, feeling really good about the team and everything, but we came back down to reality. We squeezed out the wind and I'm happy about it. So that's what I got to say. Okay. Good deal. No reason not to be. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I do think that there is a lot to be said for not being anywhere near. Forgot about your best game, even a good game. And you still end up winning by eight.

20:30You know, there is a lot to be said. Maybe to someone who thinks that I or we sound crabby about it is that the bar is very high. And, you know, they got away with one, but it's to their credit that they did. Like they're good enough team and have enough players that can make plays in moments that when even though it's not really been your day, so to speak, you're still able to come through and make some plays at the end that matter and swing the game. I mean, you know, you're losing five nothing on the turnover battle, losing in the game and then John C. Gardner, C. J. Gardner Johnson makes a play and you've got the ball at midfield and pretty much you never really look back. But, you know, we're talking about LA that throw that decision that's painful. Yeah. You know, you're right there with the lead. You don't have to necessarily get a touchdown there, but that's that. Yeah. Right over the middle like that. Tough. 24, 16, bills, a couple of updates.

Yeah, first of all, turning point in that game was the first pitch to make it right. What it was. Right. So listen, I mean, you're right, Mike. We were down in the tunnel area towards the end of the game, me and a bunch of media members waiting for the game to end.

27:42And after the bill scored, you know, to go up 11, I said, there are lots of cover actually. Like they're going to be the points bread. Heck with it, I can't believe they're going to win this game. How do they even do this? I really don't know how they won this game today other than just sticking to, you know, sticking with it as long as they could and just playing and playing and playing and getting a few stops on defense. That's really what it came down to. They got a few stops on defense. And it's a defense that had given up 62 points over the first two games of the year. They gave 16 today and they just made big stops. They had a red zone stop from a touchdown to a field goal early in the game. Then they have a miss field goal by the Chargers. That was pretty big. The interception by CJ Gardner Johnson. The defense just kept failing and offense out and offensive could not get out of its own way. And offense that just kept turning the ball over and making mistakes, committing penalties. Not a good day for the offense. I told you guys going to the week. I said the only way I see the bills losing this game is if they really do it to themselves.

28:44The Chargers are not a better team. Well, they almost did that. They tried really hard. So much not a better team. They'll still beat them. Yeah. Yeah, some play at the end. I remember that conversation. There need to be some play at the end. And there was not that play at the end. At least they got the five turnovers over with quickly. Bulldog, right? Because then you got the one from Gardner Johnson and kind of were home free. How about cook going over 150 today, Sal? Did you feel like that kind of game to you? Did you like me look at the stats when it was over? When did that happen? Yeah, Mike, I'm going to tell you I heard you. Sorry, I heard you say that. I was listening in a little while ago and you guys were talking about his day. And I did not realize that those were his numbers. Because I was on the field post game doing everything. And when you guys said one 54, I'm like, wait, is that right? And then Mike, you said exactly what I was thinking like, like, how did that happen? No way, right? I agree with you. I don't know where that came from, but he seems cooked. He is just a really good. And sometimes you have a few runs here there that start to add up. And then the bill started feeding him. And I also think the very first play of the game, he fumbles.

29:46And we were talking up in the press box of, okay, is Joe Brady going to go back to him? Because, you know, McDermott probably would sit him for a series. And I've been he did it all the time. I think he did it a lot. If he fumbled and now that's a couple of fumbles already for James Cook here this season, and he went right back to him. So I asked James in the locker room, what did it say about Joe Brady going right back to you after that first play? And he said, well, I'm running back one. So he said, he said, arm RB1. He said, you know, I know that and that's he's out of confidence and Joe is confidence in me and we're just going to keep playing football basically. But it was kind of interesting like he's like, yeah, don't. It didn't surprise me because he knows that I'm the best guy to run the ball. Yeah, I mean, I said earlier, Sal, like, you know, do I have a problem? Well, I mean, I want the guy to hang out on the ball. But what am I going to do about it? Do the things they've normally done they didn't do today. And then a good day on defense. I know the stats are going to be tilted because they kept giving the charger the ball to those offense did and you were asking a lot of your defense time after time, but they kept coming up big time after time towards the end of the game. I guess you know the charger and kind of a panic mode. Those things happen. You're giving up a drive. You don't want to see that. I'd rather not have seen that from the bill's defense. Give up that touchdown or I guess field goal towards the end when they were driving. It was only a field goal, but a little too quickly they got down the field. Other than that, I just think the defense did everything you could ask them to do to help them win this game today. Look like the shoulder was bothering. He was flexing it a little bit and then he was like massaging the back of his neck after a play later in the second half, but I don't think he missed any time. No, we didn't get any updates on him. So I wouldn't I wouldn't say they necessarily had him, but sure. Something of a monitor obviously because of his situation. When he had that play towards the end where he went out of bounds and didn't score, I was a little concerned because he rolled up on that shoulder a little bit, but he got up. He made the first down sign. I'm like, OK, well, he should be OK. Benford is the big one. He has a toe injury. We saw him in the locker room. He had a walking boot on his right foot in the locker room. I'll say that he was, you know, with his guys, his sister group, they were he was smiling and talking with them. So hopefully, there's nothing too serious, but he didn't return to the game.

33:50It is a toe injury. I was rolling the game. Dorian Williams was evaluated of her head injury, but he went back into the game. So that's good news. And then in the locker room, Ty Johnson said he had a hamstring accessory tendon removed on August 11th. I had some three times to make sure I got that right because I said, I'm going to tweet this out. I want to make sure I've never heard this before. A hamstring accessory tendon.
