Posa's Leadership: Badgers' Defense Poised for Big Ten Shock

0:00On April 21st, last season, true freshman Mason Posa and Cooper Catalano flipped Wisconsin's defense upside down. These instinctive linebackers, balled out in the second half, combining for 114 tackles, six sacks, four pass breakups, two forced, fumbles, and a fumble recovery. Now heading into their true sophomore years, they're stepping up as the core leaders of that unit. Posa stands out with his explosive plays, looking every bit like a first team all big ten talent ready to carry the load. Posa's owning that leadership role, talking big about getting the badges back to winning ways after a rough year. He's got the whole defense rallying around his energy, setting a tone that could lift everyone. He sees an easier schedule this time around, ditching last year's gauntlet for a real shot at stacking victories. The reality checks in quick with a top five Notre Dame squad opening things up, meaning they'd need just one or two losses maxed to sniff the college.

1:00Football playoff Posa's fire is contagious, vowing full commitment to turn this program around, and if he leaves like this through a full season, the Badgers defense might just shock the Big Ten.
