Pittsburgh Steelers Eye Olaivavega Ioane for Offensive Line

0:00It's March 24th. This is NFL News Today, AI-powered stories from around the league. I'm Cory with the story. The Pittsburgh Steelers face several key needs heading into the 2026 NFL draft, especially along the offensive line after losing left. Guard Isaac Somalo to free agency. One standout prospector I'm is Penn State's Oliva Vega Iowane, a 6'4-320-pound guard projected as a mid-first-round pick. Iowane brings a massive frame with excellent body control and balance on contact, making him a dominant pass protector who's rarely penalized. His discipline stands out as he allowed just two penalties over four college seasons. That said, he's not a steady in the run game and can struggle against speedy edge rushers or complex stunts where he sometimes loses track of. Defenders. Still, his past blocking prowess could plug a big hole for Pittsburgh right away. For time, Iowane's performance has climbed steadily according to pro football focus grades.

1:03He started with limited snaps in 2022, but by 2025 was up to an 87 pass blocking grade and 79 in run. Blocking with zero sacks allowed that year. As the Steelers rebuild their line, prospects like Iowane represent the kind of high upside talent that could stabilize things for years to come.
