Patriots Rely on Romeo Doubs to Fill Stefon Diggs' Shoes

0:00On March 31st, the New England Patriots lost why receiver Stefan Diggs in the offseason and now they're banking our Romeo Dubs to step up big time as a replacement. Dubs just came over from the Green Bay Packers where he was one of many targets in a spread out passing game. In New England last year, Diggs had 25 more catches than the next guy, so the pressure is real to fill that void. Dubs has the skills to be a true number one receiver, but he's never topped 59 receptions in a season. That Packer's offense shared the ball around a lot, unlike the Pat setup that leaned heavy on Diggs. It's a big jump for him to anchor the passing attack right away. Fans and analysts are watching closely because this could make or break the Patriots' offense. Dubs brings talent, but the team needs more production to compete in the tough division. Background shows New England has been rebuilding their receiving core for a while now. Meanwhile, the Patts aren't putting it all on Dubs. They want guys like Keishan Boot, Demario Douglas, and Kyle Williams to contribute more too.

1:01Coach, Mike, Raeble, and Mitz replacing Diggs will take serious effort. They might still trade for help or grab someone in the NFL draft, but for now, it's about getting everyone clicking.
