Welcome back to Golden Hour. We're back for part 2 with Pascal. Let's get right into it. Yeah, but that's what the online dating to me is. That was a trend. I think Red Nile was going on in Chicago. There is a lot of mixer. So there is a lot of an event where you go there and then you mangle and you meet somebody. Have you done it? Have you gone Pascal? Yes, I've got to a lot of mixer. I mean, women are coming up and giving their phone numbers. And most of them I don't call because I'm not interested. But you never know. Yeah, I've been around the block quite a few times. I know what I like and I know what I don't like. Do you give women? Do you walk up to women at these mixers and give them your phone number? No, I don't give them my number. I take their number, but I don't give them my number. I'll call you. Pascal, get a Google number.

So let's move on. Tell me what your thoughts are on Jordan and Emily. There's a nice thing. I love Jordan very much and I love Emily as well as Jordan. I just think they seem like they have been a great time. Jordan and I had a long conversation about where this is going. I think in his 63, she's 40. I know that they've talked about children. And I said, you know, I said out of you, you know, I tell you. Yeah, I mean, is this gig, is this tense? I think to me, we've been parents. We've raised children. We know the energy, the time it takes to raise children, the financial, you know, we need and to me, my children are gone. And I'm, you can imagine a happy. I am the are gone and independent. So I will never start at 63 a family. I will not.

But what do you think of, but they're enjoying it right now. But what do you think Pascal, before we move on to our golden advice, you're going to be great at because you are so direct, giving us advice to our listeners. But one last question, what do you, that I agree with you, it's hard to start over and have kids. But what about the flip side of it? If Emily, not just Emily, any woman who's 23 years younger, who's engaged in that kind of relationship, is she signed up, as you said, to change diapers in 15 years? Like, I don't want to do that. What woman wants to do that? You know, you know, there is, there is, you know, in a situation where the woman is successful who has a good career. You know, I was married and we had a nanny who was coming up every morning. And at one time, the nanny was living with us and she took care of the kids. And she changed a diaper and she took him in the park and she felt him at every time. So when we come home, we play with the kid.

That was a fun. You know, I think, I think if you have the financial stability to have somebody to take care of the kid, you could have a kid at any age you want. I personally think it is unfair for the children to have a father who is 65 years older than him. You know what I mean? You know, I just think, I just think that, you know, I enjoy my children. We go for dinner, we have to conversation about politics, we're conversation about life in general. And I think I still could relate to him. And we still have 50 years difference between the two of us. But I don't mean I can't... I wasn't just talking about children. Yeah, I wasn't just talking about children. I was talking about a young wife having to take care of an informed partner. Like it's all fun and games now, but talked to me in 15 years. That's the only fun I was talking about. I think that the discussion they should have together. I think that sometimes a couple should discuss about, you know, I mean that age.

And you are that age. And you know, I mean, I talked to Vanessa from Age of Attraction, I had her in my podcast. And I said, Vanessa, you're 50 years old, you're 30 years old. In 10 years, you're now going to be 60 years old, you're going to be 40 years old. It's not even in this prime. I was 40 years old, I was dead in a 28, 30 years old. Why would I want to dead in 60 years old? I said, I think right now, it all looks great and paper. But there is no future. The kid that 30 years old is going to want a kid that 40. Are you going to be 60? Are you going to be able to, you pass me the post? You can have children. So I think it's very challenging. If I speak for myself, absolutely not. I will never date someone who wants children. Absolutely not. I don't even want to date someone who's got young kids. Because I don't want to raise anybody. We have grandchildren now. And you can enjoy them when you want. Grandparenting is the best. Send them home. You clearly have opinions, Pascal.

And I want you to help us answer some questions every week. We get questions from listeners. So we're going to give some expert golden advice. Are you willing to join in? Yes. You want me to be honest and switch to school. Always, Pascal. Always. Go ahead. Susan, take the first one. Okay. Okay, go ahead. One is from Jess. And she's from Austin, Kathy. My boyfriend and I have been together for two years. And I love him. But his friends are starting to drive me insane. They all still very much in their boys will be boys. And every weekend turns into a staying out until 2am. I don't want to be the girlfriend who tells him he can't go out. But I also thought by our mid 30s, we'd be doing something other than recovering from a Saturday night at the bar. Am I being boring or does he need to grow up a little? I think that person said,

get rid of him. Go find somebody else. You know, Pascal, I'm loving you. A few years ago, I dated that. Remember? Oh, my God. I couldn't get the last two. I could get the last two. Four o'clock in the morning. The music's blaring. They're doing. I'm like, I can't do this. This is not me. But here's the thing. She said, you know, I can't. You can't tell me, can't. That's the stupidest comment ever. You telling a grown person, he can or can't. You're right, Pascal. Hit the road. She's getting the road. It's a good bye, good luck. When you grow up, come and see me. It sounds like she's more mature than he is. You know what? When you take a 35-year-old woman, you need to take a 35-year-old man. You know what? You need to take a 35-year-old woman. You need to take a 35-year-old man. The 35-year-old woman, a way more mature than the man. You understand that. Yes. So I think the woman at 35-year-old wants to start building a family, wants to start building a career. The man still wants a party, wants to hang with his body, drink beer, do some, you know, and stay up to two o'clock in the morning, go to council.

I can see it once a year. You get together with all your college friends, and you have a weekend. Exactly. So tell him to get lost. Fence somebody else before you leave. The rave is over. Fence is. Alright, here's our next one. It's from Taylor, and she is from Nashville. I've been dating this guy for six months, and he still calls me his, quote-unquote, friend. When he introduces me to people, we are very clearly not friends. I sleep at his house three nights a week. I've met his mom. We're exclusive. But apparently I'm his buddy. I finally asked him about it, and he said he doesn't like labels. What does that even mean after six months? Am I wasting my time? What says you pass, Gal? Is she wasting her time? No, I don't think so. I think that she should have a conversation about what, you know what I mean? Calling a friend. In the end of the day, you partner should be your best friend.

Am I right? Yeah. I mean, that's, that's, that's, is my friend. Right. I mean, if it's important for her to be called my girlfriend, I think that sometimes she should talk to him, but let's say, hey, look, you know, I feel like we are in a relationship. You know, we're moving to be more serious together, and I think it'd be more important to introduce me as your girlfriend, not as your friend. You know, I think it's going to be a question. I have a question. Yes. I have a question. If he calls her his friend, isn't that a label? Yeah, I mean, yeah. He's a friend. He's my friend. So when he says he doesn't like labels, I'm going to say he doesn't like commit. And that's okay. But he's already labeled her as a friend. I used to introduce, introduce Fred as my friend and lover. So this is my friend and lover. Yeah, well, I, but then once you were with him exclusively, Susan, you call him your boyfriend, your partner. I'm not arguing with the cut-out. That's all it is here, right?

It's a label. It's a label. I mean, if the guy wants to go, this is my friend, Jenny, you know, that's great. You know, I mean, if you say, oh, that's my girlfriend, Jenny, that's a bit more intimate. And if it's important to her, I think they should have a conversation. It's all, relationship is all about communicating. And I think to me, if he communicates with him, say, hey, look, you know, I feel a bit uncomfortable when you call me a friend. Are we friend? Or are we dead in? Are we boyfriend, girlfriend? And, you know, had you feel about that? And let's come back with the answer. And that is a really good point. That's a great point, Pascal, because you said she needs to talk to him. And all we have in this, in this question is, I asked him any said he doesn't like labels. My question to you, Taylor, is, did you have any deeper conversation after he said he didn't like labels? Because that's not communicating, just asking a question, getting an answer, unless you say exactly how you're feeling and how he makes you feel. Exactly. Yeah, agree, agree. Yeah.

We're going to have some fun with the dating rapid fire. But also, you can submit your burning questions to us by going to bachelornation.com slash golden hour. Come back each week and see if it's your question that we're answering. All right, are you ready to do dating rapid fire? Are you ready, Pascal? Okay. We're going to ask you some fun dating rapid fire questions. First thing comes to your mind. You're just going to answer the first thing that comes to your mind. Don't give it too much thought. Okay. Okay. Dating apps or meeting someone at dinner. Meeting someone at dinner. Great. Yeah. First date drinks or dinner? Drinks. Who should pay on the first date? The man. I love biggest first date turn off. Tardiness. I love that answer. I said the same thing. Oh, that's so good. Okay. Most attractive quality in a woman.

Presentation. I would said, you know, when somebody come up well put together on the date. I think that she technically would have said confidence. Yes. Yeah. Oh, that's all that's all presentation. It's all presentation. Presentation. Somebody come up to get some. Yes. So she, you want nice hair, make up nicely dressed the whole pet about yourself. Yeah. Walking in. Yes. Yeah. I want somebody to come up. If you come on a date with me, you have to put yourself well together. I don't want you to come up with a ton of dinner, her not down, no makeup. And you now have a walk. It's T-shirt sneakers. And T-shirt sneakers. No, it's not for me. Okay. Could you date someone who hates Patty? Rich Patty. Paris, yes. With Paris? What does your mother do to me? I know. Yeah. So I got just before we get, do you remember Pascal? I think it was on our last podcast when we had you on. You talked about what's her name in New York's and that fix update.

And she wanted to go to a beer place and you want to go to a fine restaurant. Do you remember that? Oh, that was you talking about the girl from housewife. Yes. You're the rest wife of Kelly Benzimon. Yes. I'll never forget that when you said I want to go to a fabulous restaurant and have wine and she wants to go to burgers at the bar. Yes. She did a street street-john bar. Yeah. That was very funny. Okay. I'm Martha Stewart from the Martha Stewart podcast. You know what I love about cooking? Chicago or Paris for the perfect date. Definitely Paris. For the perfect date, I think before you take somebody to Paris, you have to know Ali Vincicago. For me to take somebody to Paris, we have to have a strong connection to take you to Paris. I will say Chicago, living in Chicago, the perfect date will be Chicago for that. Yes. The question that everyone wants to know, would you ever do golden bachelor in paradise? Absolutely not. I knew the answer. Tell us why. Why you think that it's mixing up the young and the old together, it's not a great concept. I think to me, remember one thing, I was asked many, many, many, many times to be in golden paradise. And many, many, many times I said no.

I just didn't think there was a good fit for me. What if it was all golden now? If it was all golden, that would be a different game. But if it's just the younger, no, the tend to me when I was asked to be in the golden paradise, I would have loved to go there as an advisor to the young generation. Well, that's how it was. I didn't feel like he was like that. If Captain Kim was all over April, you and I taught you and Keith were going to get married. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, we can't even kiss. We never kiss. I don't know what you're saying. I don't know what you're saying. You got me fired up, Pascal. I don't know what you're watching. I never kissed. We kissed. I kissed him on the cheek. We were always friends. The producer said, come on. Don't you want to kiss him?

No, I'm never dating Keith. I love him as a friend, but that's as far as it goes. I don't want to show you what you're watching. If you were asked to be the golden bachelor, would you? Yes. That's some time I will put a lot of thought. I will have to see the logistics. What is involved? What type of commitment needs to be? The time needs to be. I'm so married, I have the time of the, I could live whenever I want. The 10 is I want to know number one, you know, the commitment. I'm a free spirit. I could pack tomorrow and go to Germany. I could go anywhere. So I want to know the commitment to be the bachelor. I want to know who's going to be in the bachelor. I want to have a little sense about the woman to be because if I go to the... You can't change the game now. You can't change the game. What it is, if you were asked to be it, would you take that chance?

You don't get to pick the women. They pick the women and for a guy who doesn't want to go public, you would be public. I mean, I think, you know, that's a... It's a great experience. I mean, look, to be quite an issue, the experience I had, in the golden bachelor rate, was a lifetime experience for me. And I never watched reality TV before that. I was very excited. It was a lot of fun. I've seen behind the scenes. I've had a chance to meet wonderful people, the matter of fact, to weeks ago. Yeah, people doing your laundry, I love this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, I don't do my laundry. I don't think I don't clean. Here's what I thought. You said you date women 50, late 50s. The age of the golden bachelor women that you'd be dating started 60 and go right through 70. So you... I think you would have a hard time finding women. You know what, to be quite an issue, you mean, Katie, I was... I was in the final rose at the bachelor with Mel, okay?

And I ended up having dinner with all the girls in the Morton Steck House in alley after the show. And I would have to say, there was some beautiful woman in that show. But that's because Mel was younger. Mel was only 63, I think. You're 71. So they would scale the women older. That was like us doing our show. Joan appears and she's 60. I thought, senior meant 65 and up. Right. Right. Yeah, I mean, I think to me, I think to me, I've seen the girl from Mel's season were 60 and up. There was nobody younger. No, but most of the women on Mel's season were in their early 60s. Because he was only 63, I think, at the time. I'm saying, if you were the Golden Matcher by then, you'd be 72. They're not going to bring in 50-year-olds. Because they're not golden. You know, I think, again, age is a number. You could have a 65, 68-year-old in a fabulous shape, who's taking care of herself.

And I have a lot of fun of mine who are beautiful women. Yeah. So I just think then, you know, again, it's not just the age is the personality. I agree. The presentation is the way their lifestyle. You know, I mean, we have to be able to match. I mean, you know, when I went into the Golden Bachelor at Wisjon and I see those 22, we got, we don't leave the same lifestyle. Right. Any one of them, we don't. No. You know, and I see the world different. Yeah. And I'm there. And I said, what am I doing here? Those guys, you know, I mean, I don't want to sound kind of, you know, I am filtered. Those guys are not my people. You know, they, and I felt like what am I doing? And I end up knowing Jordan and Mark and Jack and all those guys. Right. And we end up coming. But we don't, we don't have the same lifestyle. Right. You know, I mean, if I take Jordan, I love Jordan. Jordan, he pizza. I feel a, you know, I'm saying, I mean, you know, and so to me, again, it's not about the age.

It's about the presentation, the sophistication, the star. Somebody who's got some style possess somebody who present well. Somebody who's got a great conversation, who's, who's worldly, who's been around. I want the woman who are educated, women who could have a conversation about politics, about economy, about, about fashion, about the champion. You know, I've been all over the world. So to me, I don't want somebody who never leave Ohio. Right. You know, I mean, you know, you know, I hate to say this Pascal, but we have to wrap up here for two. We have to wrap up here for two reasons. One, our time has come to an end. And the other one is you got to sit there and start returning the phone calls from all the women that are going to reach out to you after we have this podcast. I don't, I don't, I don't return any phone. I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't get involved in the social media. I was making a joke. I, I understand, I understand. But I'm sure you guys get podcasts. You don't announce things. I mean, I'm not in charge of that.

It's a lot of work to do with, you know, about, you know, you people recently, you need to understand that. What is awful is like involve that. I'm not doing anything. I'm not regularly going to get that compulsory, you know, I'm nervous about it. I'm not doing anything taking anymore because I don't know myself. Not really because the thing is someone who has a record for this record. What is that? Exactly. I'm a Tom Boy Scarlet-Redット for example. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. in general, what's going on and stuff like that. So it's been doing so well so far. It's a eight minute segment. And then it's a zoom between him and I having a conversation. And I like that. I like that. But that was Jimmy the best. And maybe one day we'll have you make you wait. I'll give you eight minutes. We can talk about, I'll talk about full aces. And you can talk about pizza. Because you get Jordan and you get me, you get to you. OK. It's perfect. Well, thanks, Pascal, for joining us. I want to pull in the pizza. Thank you very much. It was very nice to meet you both.

OK, seeing you both. I'm happy to see a successful new podcast is and I'm honored you've asked me. And anytime you need me, I'll be more than happy to help you. We love to knock it up again. We love some more info. We love catching up with you. And you never know. We may be at your doorstep when we come to Chicago. Oh, yeah. I'm calling you like I come anytime. Anytime you come to Chicago, you have a place to stay. Thank you. You have a friend to hang with. I promise you that. Thank you. Thank you. That's sweet. Thank you guys. Bye. All right, Susan, let's get into this. We were just on with Pascal. And there's so much I want to talk about. And I know you do too. What's the first thing that hit you from that interview? My very, very first was him not labeling his girlfriend as a girlfriend. Like I don't know if she's aware of that. He doesn't want to put a title on it.

He most definitely stopped us and said, well, you know what? It's interesting. I agree with you 100%. Well, do you remember when we asked him if he was dating more than one woman? He said, I don't really want to talk about that. He seemed like, you know, I'm just casually dating. And yet you and I have both seen pictures of him with his girlfriend. So to your point, does she know it's casual? Is it really casual? What if she listens to that, to our podcast? She's going to probably ask questions. Or perhaps Kathy, I could be dead wrong. And she's OK with whatever. Because he clearly stated he's not getting married. Yeah. He likes to have a nice woman and take her out and show her the lovely part of life that he can do. Yeah. He does very high end dates. Yeah, but he addresses women. Yeah, but I love that. I do too. But when he said, you know, all those things you just said and then she'll come back to the house and may spend the night but then she leaves the next morning, goodbye.

Like it felt very, cold. Throw away to me. You know, you can dispose of girlfriends. You know, they're not. So I thought that was interesting. And I also think he's interesting in that, this whole age thing. He admitted to wanting to lie about his age on the show. And he admitted to much like, you know, Mel and some of these other guys on Joan season. They want to date younger women. And they, it's so interesting to me that they don't think 15, 18 years younger is a big deal. And I mean, don't you think that's a big deal? No, because I just dated somebody 13 years younger. Well, that. I think anybody can do that. But it's up to the woman. It's the woman's prerogative. But I wonder if the woman is OK.

If you repeat date somebody and now you're going into the next phase, then I'm talking about sex. If you're going to have sex with somebody and you don't have a label, if you will, I think there's someone that's a casual relationship. I don't casually have sex, but maybe I'm a prude. I don't know. I don't think it depends on the age. I think Pascal's in his 70s. And whatever women he's sleeping with are younger than he. And I probably would not be OK with that sleeping with a guy and having him say to me, you know, it's just casual. I would not be OK with that. Would you? No, I don't think I would either. I don't know. I think he's an interesting guy. And I think women are taken with his accent. And he has a beautiful car. And he, as you said, Susan, he takes him to great restaurants. They do fancy things. Yes. Would have fun, David. I would have fun, but guess what?

But you can't get your heart in it. That's exactly what I was just going to say. I was just going to be on his same level. And this is just dating. It's just a casual. OK. I'm going to be OK. It's two people feel the same way than so be it. I just couldn't be me. Yeah, I couldn't do it either. So I don't know about Pascal. I think he's a great guy. I think it was a great interview. But I'm with you, Susan. I want to know what his current girlfriend thinks about the casual label that he got. That he was. And just one more thing. And I'd say this right to your face, Pascal, when you estimate he would be the goal of the bachelor, he had so many demands. He'd have to choose the women he'd have to. I was laughing. Pascal, if you're listening, you don't get to choose. You don't get to choose. OK. So we've got a little time here left. Let's do one bonus question. What do you say? You got it. And this one's from Lauren. And she's from Atlanta. I'm divorced and recently started dating a guy I really like. Everything was going great. Until I found that he's never lived with a woman, never

been engaged. And his longest relationship was about a year. He's 42. My girlfriend's immediately said red flag. But I also don't want to judge someone just because they haven't followed the traditional timeline. Would that worry you? Or am I letting my friends get in my head? Ooh, that's a perfect one. Because it's both. Right? If you tell me. Tradition, we all think you know, that we're married before, or like dating a man that doesn't have children. Oh, he's never going to understand family dynamic. Oh no. Nobody falls in love enough to get married. That's quite possible. Well, no, she didn't say get married. She said that he never lived with a woman. Right. So I'm going to take issue shocker of all shockers. I think that it's different when I won't date a guy who hasn't been married. Not even kids. I prefer you have kids. The reason is if you haven't experienced that,

your selfish you don't know. But Kathy, you're judging somebody that maybe never fell head over heels. Right. And so where I was going with that is, if a guy, he may have been in love and just not wanted to live together, there's other extenuated circumstances we don't know. And by the way, 42 or 43 is not that old to quote, not have lived with a woman. Not everybody says, hey, I really like you. Let's get a condo together. I don't think, I think that your girlfriends are getting in your head, Lauren. And I think that you ought to just see what the relationship was only about a year. That's the only part. What happens after a year? That's when you truly start to find out who the other person is. Oh, look at you. You are learning about some sort of grown-up today. I think you've only just started dating him. I would, Lauren, if I were you, first of all,

I don't know how long you've been divorced. Have you taken enough time to help? We never have enough data in these questions to answer them. But Lauren, I don't know how long you've been divorced. I think you're putting the cart before the horse if you're worried about this. Since you really like them. And you just started dating. So you know what, hang in there. I don't know if it's a red flag or no. Telling your friends like I do, Kathy, just pick up the pieces after it's over, because I'm running straight out for it. Can I just tell you guys? Since Susan's breakup, picking up the pieces, I've been shuffling them with a bulldozer. It's a map. Because you know what, Lauren, you've got to take chances in life. That's right. You might be the one. You don't know. Yeah. Or have that conversation with them and say, are you not interested in ever sharing the same house with somebody or, you know? Well, look at us, Susan. We just finished on another podcast talking about the fact that we didn't want to live with a guy 24-7. You don't. I'm going to clean up after that. Right. Yeah.

Lauren, Susan does not want to clean up. If you are interested in this guy, slow your role, see what it's like, date him for a while, enjoy the ride, and then if you start getting the heck, I'm going to say it again. I've said it on this podcast how many times we are intuitive women. We know in our heart of hearts whether something's wrong, right, if it doesn't feel quite right, guess what, Lauren? It probably isn't. So give it some time and then make your choice, but right now go and have a good time. And don't let your friends get in your head. There you go. Except me, Susan, I can get in your head. Of course. Okay, so Susan, I have a question for you. If you, so Lauren, this guy's never been engaged. His long-served relationship was a year. Would you personally think it's a red flag? Would you date a guy, not a 42 year old, but would you date a guy? Yes, because I always think I'm going to change their minds. I know. I'm the one. Yeah. Exactly. I guess there's something with me.

Maybe there's something, maybe I'm the red flag. I don't see it as a red flag. I think that you just said you don't date anybody that's never been married or lived with somebody. Well, but I'm not 42. I'm saying back at this age, maybe Lauren's boyfriend was building a career. We don't know. You know, he might have been building a career. You mean at our age, if we met somebody like age, you would not entertain that because he's never been in a long age. I'm right. At my age, I will not date a guy who either has not been in a long-term relationship and by long term. I'm talking like marriage length or married, but it's not because I think there's something wrong with him and I don't think that's the right thing to say. It's that I think if you've never had to sacrifice for someone else, you're probably not going to start in your 60s starting to sacrifice.

You know what I'm saying? You haven't learned how to do that. And you and I are two old Susan to start training men. Oh, God. So that's what I'm saying. I don't know. Anybody, anything. But Lauren's boyfriend at this age, who knows? You know, we don't know. Maybe he's a bad picker. We never thought about that. He might be a great guy and you might be the one. So take the chance. And there's there's dreamboat Susan. Who's going to be? Of course she is. She's going to be. I live in my fantasy world, but this is something I'm going to say that Kathy says all the time. And I, to this minute, don't know how to do it. I quote, protect your heart. I have never said those words. Yes, you do. Don't get all in. She's going to protect your heart. Do not get it. Have you done that? No, what I actually, I've never said protect your heart. What I say to you is you need to slow it down. You mistake chemistry for love and you jump into quickly. That's not the case with our Lauren from Atlanta. But you say you're gone. You don't let your feelings, your heart get involved until you know.

That's protecting your heart. I've never been able to do that. Well, you know what? There's hope for, you know, even blind squirrels find an acorns isn't there? So Google that with chat GPT Lauren and learn how to protect your heart. There you go. Let us know. And then when you find out, please email Susan and Tara to do it. I still don't get it. All right.
