Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Walk It Iowa. The world's largest truck stop in the background. The Letterman Road Columbus Bureau has made its way to the state of a million cornstalks. That is milk walker. I'm sort of like cornfielder right there across the street. I am Spencer Holbrooke and we are going to break down Ohio's the Iowa. Here at the world's largest truck stop, Mick just bought a little propeller hat and a world's largest truck stop shirt. He's going to reveal that tonight on his Instagram channel, the private one, of course. And we're going to have a good time. If you didn't know, this truck stop is massive. So is the Ohio State Showdown number six Ohio State, number five Ohio State, number 14 Iowa. Here in the corn state tomorrow, about 50, 60 miles. Is that the actual Iowa State nickname? Who cares? We're going to talk about Ohio State Iowa here, Mick. What are you most looking forward to seeing tomorrow from the buck guys in Iowa City at Kinnexton? I just want to see how the run defense looks after how future it looked to get to. It was bad. It was over 200 yards rushing a lot

for the first time since when 2023 gets Rutgers. That's right. When there was some goofiness and fumble or risky stuff from Greg Siano, the Siano man, pulling out his bag of tricks playing these notes. But I'm just interested to see how the run defense looks and gets a good set of Iowa running backs, a good offensive line in Iowa. So that'll be my first thing to do. See, because if they can handle that, I really don't see how this becomes a competition for the buck guys. Yeah, I mean, if they can get off the field, get Iowa in third and long and get after Hank Brown, I think it becomes a much harder ordeal for the Hawkeyes. Kinnexton, Jackson said on Tuesday that they came in Matt Patricia and Larry Johnson on Sunday, the day after they gave up 199 rushing arts in Illinois, and they fixed it on Sunday, and now it's fixed. Well, that's going to be put to the test. Like you said, I don't believe it entirely because I don't have faith in these defensive tackles right now in the way that they've performed. But I do think as far as game planning and scheming, there are things that Matt Patricia is going to be able to do to mitigate some of the concerns I have on the defensive line. Tim Lester has done a good job with this Iowa offense. I will give him credit for that,

and I like Camari Molten as a runner. I don't love this Iowa running game, though. It's weird because the parts are great. Molten is a good running back. The offensive line is really, really good. It doesn't seem to be clicking for this run game, and perhaps we'll find out down the road that the cure for the common run game is the Ohio State defense, and they can't stop a nosebleed. But I'm not there yet. I don't think it's not fixed. I don't think it's fixed, but I don't think it's uncorrectable to the point where Iowa's going to run for 250 yards and control the pace of this game and win, which leads me to my thing that I most want to see from this game is, what are the terms of this game? Ohio State has all the talent in the game to go in and dictate the pace, dictate the terms, dictate the crowd, and dictate the way that the scoreboard looks. Do the buck guys do that, or do the buck guys do what Ohio State teams have done here the last few years, and that's, hey, you want to play a slow, methodical pace against Ohio State. We're going to let you do that, and we're going to creep down

into that slow, methodical pace. And then all of a sudden, if you mess up on one possession, you can't get that possession back, and you end up taking a loss. Miami game is an example of that against Indiana last year, a little bit like that, where they played extremely slow. They played almost too slow. They get inside the five yard line twice, and because you play so slowly, if you don't score on those possessions, you don't have another opportunity to get it back. And so you lose by three in the low scoring game against Miami. They played too slow in the second half, and couldn't get the possessions back to make up that deficit. How does Ohio State handle this? Because Ryan Day's talking about how Iowa knows what it wants to be. Iowa does this, and does that. Well, hey, what is Ohio State doing? You know, what are your terms of the game against Texas? They went in there, forced turnovers, varied the pace, I would say, to make sure that they weren't just playing at three seconds on the shot clock every time, and then snapping the ball. They dictated terms against Texas until they couldn't.

What do they do against an Iowa team that's only calling card is making you play at their level. And I think that is the thing that I'm most anxious to see from the Ohio State team on Saturday, at 330 at Kinnex Dating. We have four games a day to where a third of the way through the regular season at this one, I think you and I would both agree, while I don't have the numbers in front of me, I'm not saying I can beat it. Ohio State's been at its best offensively, when it's just been an 11 person out with Nate Roberts at Titan, and whoever the three-wider receivers may be. They can be Chris Henry, that can be Brock Boy, that can be Phillip Bell, it can be Brandon and it's the other one to keep it. I will tell you, they're averaging over seven yards to play out of 11. They're averaging over six yards to play out of Bikes, and they're averaging under five yards to play with two 10-ends. So that's my larger point. I think this identity, and I will see here, because if I were Ohio State, if I wanted to set my identity, I would come out in 11, and you could run the ball out of 11, like they have. You can get the ball out of the bow jacks and out of the back field, like you have, because Nate Roberts first, his warts and his faults as perhaps a fullbacker blocking time on the inline, he blocks fine enough in space that if you swing it out to bow jacks and like they did early in Illinois, he can

help get some productive yards. I would come out in 11, I would try to attack this I would defense this down, it's starting safety, I believe as well. So go after them, and like you said, if I were to move into 12 personnel, it would be through the bison pack and package and Jake Cook. Maybe Mason Williams comes along as the season goes along, but it's pretty clear at this point, he still needs some seasoning coming out from Ohio, and that's fine. I believe he's got another season, so if he comes back and maybe he's better in your tube, I kind of like what guy's America was, but I'm coming out of Ohio State, and I'm dictating the pace, it's in 11 personnel, and it's going to get seven points within really under four minutes. Because I believe what four of their six touchdown drives into Illinois, we're like right around four minutes or less. So go get a touchdown and four minutes or less out of 11 personnel, which really with this I'll stay off and should not be anything crazy. Yeah, and if you get up two scores and then you want to condense the game because you don't think Iowa can come back from that and you go 12 or you go bison heavy, that's fine with me. If you go up by 17 in the first half and the second half, you turtle up and you're entirely in 12 and bison because your defense is playing well and you don't trust that, oh,

all right, Iowa can battle back because the offense just doesn't have it. I guess that's fine, but at least come out and throw that first punch and make sure that Iowa knows whose terms you're playing on because Iowa wants to play against Michigan every week, right? Like that they would love to. They would love to. We're not talking about an Iowa secondary with Zib your Wampard, Cooper DeGene or. Um, I, yeah, so on and so forth of the Iowa like Desmond King, Desmond King was another great example. Like we're not talking about that right now. We're talking about an Iowa secondary that's a good down of safety and lacking relative to their normal thing. Their strength is in that defensive line and the rest of that front seven at lineback with Cam Buffington and those guys. So if you get it out to your playmaker's in Jeremiah Smith out white on the Roberts, you're going to have an option to really dictate, like you said, dictate the pace of this thing. And I think if Ohio State comes out and throws the ball sideline to sideline, gets Iowa running a little bit, that's when you can hit the run because this linebacker room from Iowa is good. I don't necessarily know how deep it is. How do they handle a pace where they run sideline? They run sideline.

All of a sudden it's Bo Jackson up the middle. Then they run sideline. Then it's Bo Jackson up the middle. Then they run sideline. How do they handle that? It's kind of what the success was against early against Texas was moving around, get Bo Jackson up the middle. When things are spread out in its face. Yeah, so I think there's a there's a blueprint here for Ohio State to follow. I think the book I know what they need to do in this game. Like I said, the terms will be set early. And I think of Ohio State can set those terms. And it's not a 16 play 79 yards touchdown drive by Iowa that takes off nine minutes to open the game. I think Ohio State's gonna be in really good shape here. There are two touchdown favorite for a reason. They're coming over here very confidently. Do you have any other any one other thing? I guess we'll go through two each that we really want to see from this game. Yeah, I was trying to I had a one a second ago. I'll bounce it back to you because I forgot mine. But I do have another one that you can come back to me with. So what would be your second thing? You want to see how I say to Iowa. Yeah, I want to see these Ohio State corners. It's so weird because it's Iowa, right? But Reese VanderZee is a talented player

who is crafty. He gets open. He just gets open. The still one thing is Iowa has two undersuites that will likely at least see time in the NFL with Reese VanderZee and Tony Diaz. So I imagine I'll mention it. Yeah, Tony Diaz too, who's been really impressive. And I like the way that I like the cut of his gym. Like he just kind of looks like a good player. And if you're turning on the TV tomorrow expecting Iowa to be in 13 personnel and him to ball off 45 times, that's not who this Iowa is. Tim Lester is trying his best to modernize what Kirk Ferenc has done. Done a good job. Yeah, he has done a good job. Reese VanderZee is a talented player. Again, crafty gets open. Tony Diaz is a quicker player. Talented gets open. Devon Sanchez did not have his best game last week. I think the Illinois receivers are a bit better than this Iowa group. But I don't think it's that far behind. And I think if Germany Matthews and Devon Sanchez come out and lock down those two receivers and make Iowa use its tight ends, I think you will see these Ohio State linebackers and coverage play pretty well against these Iowa tight ends.

That to me is the key. Can you stop the run? Yes, obviously you have to do that against Iowa. These receivers though change the equation though where it's not just stop the run and then Spencer Petrus or Alex Padilla is going to throw an interception directly into your chest plate. This quarterback makes pretty good decisions and finds those receivers. Shut the receivers down, hold the run game, and you will be fine. And I just, I think the corners are an underrated aspect of this Ohio State defensive thing because if they don't play well, it doesn't matter if you're stopping the run because Iowa now has two receivers that it can go to if it needs to. And I think that was my larger thing with my second point is I just want to see what Matt Trish is going to do. I know I said run defense earlier, but there's a lot of things where they rotate it and move through. Like, we saw plenty enough. I understand the PFF put out the graphic, how great TJ Offer and Ryder veteran have been. And they've been good at spurts. They cannot play it. You did this randomly. I don't think they're at a point where they can play together right now.

So how do you pair that? You've had four games to film now. How do you pair it and make sure that Peyton Pierce is on the field with one of these guys. The Christian Legos on one of these guys. Because then you have a pretty dynamic linebacker tantrum. It's just when you put these guys on the field together, they're really similar players and they're kind of trying to do different like similar things in the field. You don't have a great Mike linebacker when you're on the field with just one of those two. That's the one some boy to put it. Since here Johnson lost his black stripe to see factor into the linebacker rotation probably not. But how does that work? JTem and I don't know if he'll play or not. Maybe he doesn't. So since Simeon Cog will play more, maybe Big Nickel against these tight ends and test 10 out a little bit. What do you do with the corners? Do you play more man? Do you play more now? How does the safety's play? Does there a little play more coverage? Do you still continue to bring Leeward Ok? Well, there's four games of data points at this point to try and figure out what you think you should do best. So I'd like to see a map of Trisha, Tim Wall and Macarere, all these guys really decide on what they want to do best. Because we're at this point where it should be less about figuring out and more about, like you said, kind of narrowing down and establishing what you want to be on defense. Because they still have, like I think they,

once you narrow the personnel down, they still have schematic things on pressures and stunts and do different things that they probably need to add in and do more of. But you have to figure out what the personnel is so far. So whether that's Jason Moore, a defensive tackle or who's that linebacker, who's that corner, I'm fascinated to see kind of the consistent personnel and what's more of a matchup game but not fully a matchup game like Texas. Yeah, I would agree with that. Right now, if you go over to Polymarket or Friends, you can use it in Iowa, you can use it in all 50 states. The thing about Polymarket that's different from all the other sportsbooks that you should just ditch at this point is that Polymarket, the fees are less and you can cash out at any time. The sportsbooks, they make you wait, they make you, they penalize you for wanting to cash out. This is, that's not how Polymarket works, right now in Ohio State, 84% likely to win this game. The spread is 14 and a half, yes, to cover the 14 and a half. Very easy app to fill. 48% navigatable. No, to cover the spread is 52%. Look, you can click yes, 48%, then if Ohio State scores early, that spread goes up to 19 and a half, you can cash out

because it'll be at like 70% and likely to cover the 14 and a half. That's how Polymarket works. And you never have an opportunity to not cash out. You can always cash out any time. Use the Polymarket app in all 50 states, including here at the World's Largest Truck Stop, in Walker, Iowa. Spencer did it, I was in the bathroom. That's right, there's a lot of things happening. While we were in the World's Largest Truck Stop, there is a semi in the building. There will be many people in the building for Ohio State and Iowa, which leads me to ask you, Mick Walker, Ohio State and Iowa, who you got, what's the final score? I think I told you 31 to 10 over a text message. I don't exactly remember off the top of my head. I don't see Iowa, I said last week, Illinois was the last score touchdown. I underestimated them, they did get points on the board. I don't know whether Iowa will, I trust him, I should have one good drive, or especially if things get Ohio State's able to kind of set the pace and run away from him. So I still stand by 31 to 10. And I got told Spencer, here's my one little pick to click, I guess is what I'll say. I think Ohio State's going to have 200 yard receivers

against Iowa on Saturday. I think there will be an initiative to get Devon McEw and the ball, get him involved more, because it's been a rough couple games for him. So get through the ball, get him on the board early, and then we'll of course Jeremiah Smith probably is not going to finish under our 100 yards at any point this season, if I had to guess, they're just going to continue to target him, because he's a workhorse. So that's my pick to click 200 yard receivers, 31 to 10, Ohio State is my final score prediction. Shouldn't it be Mc's pick to click? Well, it's not Spencer yet. If anybody will like to sponsor, Mc's pick to click, I'll gladly do it. I'll do it short form long form, whatever you want, Mc's pick to click, bounce it right there. Wow, get at him, McAdvertising.on3.com. I'm kidding, that's not a really bad address. Do not send it there. I have Ohio State winning this game. 30, 4 to 16, 34 to 16. You say so. I think Ohio State's going to win this game. I think that last touchdown is going to come a little late. It might be interesting in the first half, but I think Ohio State's going to pull away in this game and beat the Iowa Hawkeyes in the state of Iowa for the first time officially since 2006.

First time really since 2010, but the 2010 win was vacated because the NCAA sucks. So they haven't won here in 20 years. Tomorrow, we're going to hop on this fancy highway right there and head west about 50 miles and go see Ohio State and Iowa and Kiddox Stadium in Iowa City. We may stop back here at the world's largest truck stop on Route 80 in Iowa. For now though, we're going to get to our hotel. We're going to go have something good to eat. We might have a cold drink. You kind of just see it. And then it's like, oh, we should probably get back on the highway and get to our destination. But I think it's worth it. It's pretty cool. A mic bottom magnet. I've been here before. So as a return customer, I will say I'm not as impressed the second time. But that's okay. He's a father now. He wanted to ones it. He's just the largest truck stop ones it. Yeah, that was pretty sad. So I'm sorry, son. Ohio State, Iowa, tomorrow, 330, 230 local, over at Kinnex Stadium. We'll see you guys there.
