Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place, that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it? It is changed like clay under the seal, and it is dyed like a garment. From the wicked, their light is withheld, and their uplifted arm is broken. Have you entered into the springs of the sea, or walked in the recesses of the deep? Have the gates of death been revealed to you, or have you seen the gates of deep darkness? Have you comprehended the expanse of the earth?

Declare if you know all this. Where is the way to the dwelling of light, and where is the place of darkness, that you may take it to its territory, and that you may discern the paths to its home? You know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great. Then Job answered the Lord, behold, I am of small account. What shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. I have spoken once, and I will not answer. Twice, but I will proceed no further. Psalm 139. O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down, and when I rise up, You discern my thoughts from afar. You search on my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Where shall I go from your spirit, or where shall I flee from your presence?

If I ascend to heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in shayol, you are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and well in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. For you formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am wondrously made. Wonderful, are you or works? A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew. At that time, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, truly I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me. See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven, their angels always behold the face of my father, who is in heaven. What is the Lord saying to you today through these scriptures? What can you now say to the Lord in response to his word?

What conversion of mind, heart and life is the Lord asking of you today? Just come to thoseua, first in those relationships, in those blessed lives. Your own blood can heal you from the eyes of a woman. Pardon me my little sister, I libre who Iывale forth among. Although I have no faith, Nourished by God's Word, what is one specific way that you can go forth and make your life a gift for others?

Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Amen. Thank you for listening to these daily mass readings.
