Duke has about three of them this year. So I'm very excited to get him on and speak a little bit about my Duke Blue Devils.

4:29I know he can't stand Duke because he's a North Carolina guy. But well, I can't stand our coach. Everybody knows that. Anybody that listen to the team out of team away. Why are you holding on to it? Throw away the team. I'm not throwing away a team that I deserve you. They don't deserve you a loyalty. They deserve my loyalty. I just don't think John Shire is any good. And until every single year, Duke recruits the best teams because Coach Kay is still living over there. Still working and still building the program. But he has Coach Shire running the show over there. John Shire was a good basketball player. Could have been a pretty good NBA player because of injury injuries. He never really accomplished what some people thought he could have been. Same thing with a bunch of guys that I've been talking about. We speak about Grand Hill. A Grand Hill has had knee issues and leg issues. This whole career. And that's why he never really become the player that he was supposed to become. Jason Williams had a motorcycle accident accident.

5:30All these different guys that came out of Duke that we expected to be superstar players never really developed into those players because not that they couldn't cut it. Christian Layton or couldn't cut it. But we all know Williams didn't got a eating problem. Well, Zine Williamson and breaking sneakers. Every time he's on a basketball court too. I mean snapping sneakers, split and sneakers. But. The court is a problem. Yeah. Well, listen, we've seen this. That all started guys. That's not. No, of course, of course. Bobby Hurley, my favorite player who I thought should have taken the Duke job. He was. Bobby Hurley was a top draft pick, great player and got into a car accident. Never had a career in the NBA. So I think maybe there's something going on over there in the water. Because it seems like all these star players that come out of Duke really don't amount to anything. And I don't want to hear about Kyrie Irvin because Kyrie Irvin is a guy that really barely played when he was on Duke. He broke his foot early in the season and never really played for Duke. And then he was drafted. He was the number one pick, which everybody considered him the number one pick before the season even started.

6:33Six jets topics for today to preview the jets versus the Packers. The first of which is just simply are the jets actually back after dominating win or the Titans or the Titans just that bad or are the jets that good? Well, everybody's going to sit here and say, well, the jets are back. When are they back? I mean, the last time the jets were any good was in 2011. I mean, they won with Todd Bulls, but Todd Bulls never took him to the playoffs. And every single thing Kyrie has been telling us before the season is this is a wildcard team or could be a wildcard team. If that's the case, the last time the jets were in a playoffs was 2011. So that's 16 years ago. So if they're back, ladies and gentlemen, we have to see more. Now, we saw a lot of great things from the New York jets. One, we saw an offensive line that can dominate the line of scrimmage. There's no question they've got two bohemants on the tackle parts of that field. At the right tackle position, you have a great young offensive offensive guru type of offensive lineman out there. And and then you have on the other side of the left tackle in in Fuchano who they've got they've got all the pieces to be a good offense this year.

7:40The problem with the jets over the years is injuries and finding that second reliable offensive option. AD Mitchell in a second half showed the jets that they have that option. If they don't get back Omar Cooper and Omar Cooper will not be back for a couple of weeks. They're saying he might not be back for at least five weeks with the high ankle sprain that he has. So that's a huge loss because he did have a 30 yard catch with set up their first touchdown early in the game with from K. And so Omar Cooper first round talent losing him for a significant amount of time does hurt them, but they have the talent on the offensive side of the ball. Frank Wright showed you that he's a competent offensive coordinator. So if you want to ask me right now, is this the best offense the jets have had in years? I would say yes since Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brendan Marshall and Eric Dicker. I'm sorry, not Dicker Dicker. Another guy that had one good season really with the jets and if you remember Brendan Marshall, Brendan Marshall, I think have 1500 yards of 1400 yards a year and Eric Dicker had over 1100 yards a year.

8:50That was probably the best run offensively, probably the best offensive season the jets have ever had. So if you're sitting here today, are they back offensively only time will tell they are playing a green Bay Packer team that has some injuries. And yes, might not play in this game. He did not participate at practice today. So that's that could be a very big loss for the green Bay Packers. He was the best defensive option in that game in the first half for the green Bay Packers. So losing the NS and I'm not saying he won't play in the game, but he is not going to be 100% going into the game. That is a huge, huge loss for green Bay because guess what? My comparisons is not going to be playing in the game either. My comparisons is not going to be back until week seven, week eight. So it's a huge loss for green Bay. Does that give the jets an advantage? Absolutely does with the offensive line and what we've seen the offensive line do against a Tennessee Titan defense, which is not a bad defense. It's not Simmons is a great defensive lineman one of the best in the league.

9:52That defense last year was fairly good. It wasn't a bad defense last year. And these are practically this is practically the same defense they had going into the off season. So and Robert dollars a great defensive coin. So to say that the jets beat a very bad defense is ridiculous. The jets of offensive line prove that they can beat against a good defense. Now can they do that consistently only time will tell and we'll see on Sunday. You sit here today and you understand what the jets are. I think I know what the jets are. I think the jets are an up and coming team that are going to figure themselves out as the season moves along. But now they have hard competition. You have green Bay, you have Detroit and you have Chicago. All three teams that a lot of people believe could be playoff contending teams this year. Now if the jets could win two of they beat Tennessee if they win they're going to and two in their first four games. That's a win for the New York jets. It's an absolute win if they can win beat either Chicago Detroit or green pay.

10:52But there's no guarantees green Bay is coming off a big loss. Are you lost after going into the second half really dominating completely choked. That's what happened to green Bay date showed and everybody wants to say Jordan love. It's all Jordan loves full. It's not Jordan loves for everybody wants to play in the court coach in the floor. Now is the floor going to keep his job. He extended his contract in the off season. So if the floor doesn't get this team into playoff this year, he could be on the hot seat. Green Bay expects this team to be a playoff contending team. Now the jets are playing in their first home game. They're going to be in that life. It's going to be loud. The jet fans are going to be screaming and chanting J E T S. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets. So I expect the jets to come out strong. I expect the jets to not lay up a lousy goose egg. Because we've seen this first games of the season at MetLife Stadium. If you look at the jets record their first games over the last 16 years, it's not good. It's not good. The jets play their first game at home and they lay up a lousy goose egg.

11:56They have to go home and if they cannot go off green Bay and go to and go in a division where everybody thought Buffalo is going to run away or the Patriots are going to want to run away with their division and give the jets an opportunity to say maybe this could be a special season. Maybe this could be a season to be chanting about or believing in. Then we can talk about the jets being back. If they can go into MetLife and knock off the green Bay Packers queue, then maybe we can argue that maybe next week that the jets could be back. Listen, the jets are back. One game Tennessee time. They back. We can only play one game this week to coming up. We don't have no adoption, but they go off what we seen from last week. We went out there. We took care of business. We handled things. We dominated on three and on all three phases, especially teams defense and offense. So to me, the jets are back. Okay. Our biggest issue. And I've said this since preseason and training camp is injuries.

12:57And you know the two a little bit earlier, but at the end of the day, injuries going to be the biggest setback for us this upcoming season. I still stand by that we are a wildcard team. Playoff wise. And I think that we will achieve that goal if we can stay healthy going to this game versus green Bay. Very winable game. On paper, it looks like green Bay has all the tools and the quarterback and the skill wide receivers and defense and everything all mapped out on paper that they can beat us. But when you go back and you take the cover off the book and you're looking in between the front and the back of the book, you see that the defense has at least 12 people right now in the training room. We don't know if they're going to show up. We don't know if they're going to play. So we had an offensive performance that we have versus Tennessee. We come in. We keep the pocket clean for Geno. We keep the playbook very conservative. Obviously we got Garrett Wilson still have that our receiver.

14:00Like you said before Mitchell showed up and replaced Omar Cooper, Jr. and was able to give us some good good numbers in regards to get catches and move the ball down the field. During against Tennessee and I spent them to do the same thing. That's man up. We talk about it all the time when we play football next man up. And so that's what Mitchell did. We still have our key pieces together. Microfist, right? He's out for four weeks and ponses out. And those are key guys. And I agree. But if you go back and look at the tape, the guy stepped up. Guy stepped up and played great defense last week versus Tennessee Titans. And I believe that A.G. got these guys in a place in a mindset where they're going to be physical and they're going to be dominant. The thing that I realized that green based struggle with last week was the blitz. That's when Jornalov got the two turnovers. One one. He's had two formulas. One actually was recovered by the defense.

15:00But that's when we realized that he that that's when the pressure came. That's when the momentum change and shifted in the game. As you see the later later in this other game. And so therefore I believe that what A.G. is going to do when he look at that tape and say, hey, this guy doesn't do too well on the pressure. So when I go back and look at the film. All the green based successful throws came in the middle of the field. So the linebackers was too far up right on discipline. They didn't get they depth. You know, you play up. You take one or two. Reached ups. You don't you see it's not run. You get back and you get your depth five to seven yards. And even more in the opinion on the situation. Find your zone. Take care of your coverage and take care of the man that's coming into your zone coverage. That's that's they didn't do that. They didn't do that on from from a green base. I they didn't they didn't do that. So to me. So offensively we we got advantage with being physical with established the run game. I think it's going to be a heavy to deep game heavy tight in game with that.

16:00I think that they're going to be a lot of option routes with the running back. A lot of flat routes to keep it very conservative. Move the ball down the field. It's just put points on the board. I don't think this is a high scoring game. They're predicting that it might be a little bit of rain and whatnot, which works in our favor because their star running back is actually out on a commit on NFL. Zip shouldn't. So to me, they don't have that in it. They don't have the starting run event, right? And then they got key defensive player, the hard graves and other guys that are just missing or injured. That they're going into this game with. And so to me, you had to answer the question like, why is it that we are favoring green Bay based off what exactly now. Geno is not in the position that he was before when he was told for 4,000 yards and 70% complete. That's not the prime Geno and nor is that the game plan in regards to what we're going into this game with. This game plan would be very conservative. Like I said, to deep and get Wilson will probably be moving all over the place to so he can not be double team and they'll get him options to get open and get one of one action with their DB's which I don't think is very good.

17:12If you look at green Bay DB's, I don't think they're very good. Justin Jefferson had a field day setting breakfast. He started out slow and then out of nowhere like, you know, two or three touchdowns. I mean, big catch has to be catch has to be catch. They were then boys get over their head. That was having a way in green Bay with a backup, what a backup QB. So to me, this game is going to be very simple. The only issue that I have that can be framed the real us from actually being successful in this game is injuries. We got we we got them with top five or something with special teams. We're doing a hell of a job on the defensive side. We're doing a very good job on the offensive side. So we're we're amongst the top of the league in all three phases. They are two and two of the phases. So the third phase with the special teams is where I think we get the edge and I think nobody's paying attention to. But you know, last year, I mean, last week I kicker. He had two for three. Right. He was doing well. He was getting the ball through the through the field goal post. So I don't see where green Bay has the advantage out of the phase.

18:18And the only thing that you really can point out to is Jordan love is a better QB quote unquote than Geno Smith. And that's the only thing that you kind of hang your head on in regards to this game. And it's me. It's going to be a lot of blitzing. We all know that a G loves the blitz. We're going to force Jordan love to throw the ball outside, which gives us an opportunity to get interceptions and force them to make bad decisions. And if they start raining and they have to run the ball, I bless America, baby. New York Jets going to a no going in the week. And you asked the important question in the beginning, are the Titans this bad or the Jets really this good, right? And I think that this is going to be an early test of the season for the Jets, right? So you're going to learn a lot in this game. And I think the keys to the game were the same keys to the last week's game. They're just very different. Like last week was the ultimate trap game. They don't want to lose the Robert solid. You don't want to lose to that bad tight team. And they came out and they handle their business in a professional way. So this will be the same, but different. So they have to dominate the line of scrimmage on both ends. If the offensive line can do what they do that did last week, Breast Hall is going to have a big game. If it is bad weather that bodes well for the Jets, keeping Geno Smith in that 24 to 29 throw range or under is ideal.

19:34And then the defense of line if they could impose their will like they did last game and they get to the quarterback often. I think you're going to see you're going to see a Jets win. Is it going to be a dominating win? It'll probably be a close game. I don't know the weather will dictate whether or not to be a high scoring game. But if it is a shootout, it doesn't bode well for the Jets. I don't think I don't think it bulls well for the Jets in any kind of way. Now, D'Angelo Ponds will be back. He is coming back from a calf injury. He has full participation today. Jamie and Sherwood, which he was on the injury injury report. He is full part part participation. Joseph Asai did not participate. So we're not going to see him this week. Will McDonald was also limited participation, but he is not listed to not play in the game. Meek of its Patrick did not participate. Omar Cooper did not participate. Jarvis Brownlee did a comeback with full participation. So the Jets are going to have the safety help that they needed.

20:34The Green Bay Packers. They have a couple injuries. Now that doesn't mean they're not going to play. Javan Hargrave will not play this week. Tyron Hopper is a limited participation. He might play. Luke is Van Ness. He had limited participation. They're saying that he might play. Devonte Wyatt. He had limited participation, but he did practice a little bit too. So if they're going into a game where the Jets have the advantage offensively with the offensive line, like I was saying in the beginning, Membu and Fushano playing at that level that they were playing with Tipman, they're going to be a completely different team going into this game. And I do think Green Bay has a little bit better defense. They do. The Green Bay show last week that they can't run the ball with Lloyd. Now, Marcion Lloyd is going to have a chance again this week to prove a lot of people thought he could be a steal in drafting and fantasy, but he did not show up last week for them. And again, when they became one dimensional, as we see, when Matt LaFloor's offense becomes one dimensional, then what are they going to do? They're going to blitz on Jordan love. They're going to pressure Jordan love and Jordan love is not going to be comfortable in the pocket.

21:42He's not the same quarterback. So going into this game, the Jets are going to have to pressure on Jordan love. See what Matt LaFloor is going to draw up offensively against him on the defensive side of the ball. And again, I have to see what Brownlee is going to bring to the table now that he is going to be the starting safety. He is not meek of its Patrick. I don't care what anybody says. He's not meek of now. Mario Davies is he's not on the injured injured list. So that's a good sign. He's 37 years old. He's got three people in his heart, he's got three people. He's not what he's going to be like. He's got two people in his heart. He's got three people in his heart. That's what he's got. He's got four children. He's got three children, who are fighting in the game. He's got a lot of kids from the NBA. He's got three boys and two kids, who are You probably expect one of these young, these older guys to be on the injured injury report. They're not. Will McDonald's is really what I'm reading right now is he's going to play no matter what because he was, there was nothing listed of injury. So maybe pulled something or hurt his finger, whatever it is. But I think the jets are going to be fairly healthy in this game. You're not wrong, Q. Okay. The jets are going into a game. They're going to be at home. They have the advantage with the crowd. Green Bay Packer fans do travel.

22:43So it's not going to be like it's going to be old jets. But the jets should have the advantage going into this game. And again, David Bailey will McDonald, they force the objective and they can get to the quarterback and put pressure on Jordan love. This might be a game that the jets could pull off and win. Now speedy, we got more subjects to get into. Yeah. You know, I've mentioned the Mink of its Patrick injury. I want to reference this also with a comment from a smart, Async 101, Brownlee and Pond are going to lead the team in sacks. This looks like a met fan. So shout out to him as well. Smart Async 101 and the Mink of its Patrick injury. Q, you were kind of mentioning with the Blitz packages, too. Do you think you still see more DB Blitzes, even with Mink of its Patrick out of the line up and Pond's just coming back from injury? No, I don't think that we can see no DB blitz injury. I think we blitzed linebackers because the DBs are already limited. They don't have that leverage to be able to blitz them now. Would that be like one also situation, specific situations that allow the defense to actually

23:47blitz the DB? I'm sure there will be. And if we go up, say we go up 10, 0, 13, 0, something like that, where we got a little leverage to be able to do so, I absolutely. But if you go back and look at the tape, the middle linebackers and the outside linebackers blitzes is where it's going to be rough at them. And if we barely and McDonald get pressure on Jordan Love early and then have middle blitzes where he's comfort is throwing the ball in the middle. If you go back and look at the game, that's the all the catches that he had from his receivers was in the middle that was doing slants and drag wraps. That's where they big plays came from as well. So I don't see does doing no corner on the DB blitzes. Maybe I mean, maybe a safety here and there. But not I think we got to stick with the backers and a lot of DB's, the covers, and probably play more down this year, this this week because Green Bay got least two to three receivers. I can really cast the bar. I'll say this. I would look at the angel of ponds. Now I'm not going to say this week, but he could be a free safety.

24:49He would be a really good free safety. He hits and the honey badger when he came into the league, he was a cornerback. They moved him to free safety. Then he moved them all over the field. I think the angel of ponds with his athletic gifts, his ability to do things in the open field, he would be perfect for a free safety position. Now I know that jets are not going to do that. And if the safety position is not a problem this week, they're going to keep Jarvis Brownley there. But if it's a bad week and let's say Green Bay can throw against the jets in this game, I think a guy like the angel of ponds can definitely play be the free safety of this team. He's got all these gifts. He can hit. He sees the feeling. He reads the feel is good. He's a good buddy. I've read so many stories about him coming out of college on the, he could play multiple positions. If he was big enough, some people said he could have been a linebacker. I mean, his ability and his understanding of the game and his, his football knowledge could absolutely help the jets as the season moves forward. If Mika fits Patrick, he's out for a significant amount of time. But I think it's going to play a big difference in this game because they do have weapons.

25:53Read is a weapon. Watson is a weapon. They have weapons all over the field. Alps is not there anymore is with the Patriots. He didn't look good last week. So I'm not going to say anything about a guy like Dobbs, but the position that they're in, they still, we didn't see read that much last week. We saw Watson. He had one touchdown last week. He didn't have one of those breakout games where he got paid a lot of money in the off season. And again, he got guaranteed money. Now, I'm not saying the Green Bay Packers were wrong about Watson. But again, you're looking at the picture that what we saw last week, this is not the Vikings. The jets are not the Vikings. The jets don't have Justin Jefferson either as good as Garrett Wilson is. Garrett Wilson is a great player. He's not Justin Jefferson. He's not a guy that can be done. Maybe he might. Now I think the Green Bay Packers, again, what we saw with the Green Bay Packers last week, that wasn't the Green Bay Packers. The Green Bay Packers play a much better game than that. They play a much better game. It wasn't, it wasn't them.

26:53They choked in the second. They had advantage. They had advantage. They was. They choked in the fourth quarter. And last year, the only game that really stuck out to me where they choked was in the playoffs against the Chicago Bears. The Green Bay Packers last year, when they took a late early lead, they usually against the teams that they play against, they dominate throughout the game. Now the jets are shown this year that early in the season against Tennessee Titans is one when they took the lead, they took the early lead, they completely stepped on their next. Okay, this is not the Tennessee Titans. It's not the Tennessee Titans. This is not the same New York Jets. What makes them different? What makes them different? They beat a Tennessee Titans team. What did they beat? The Tennessee Titans are not a good team. They're not a good roster. Stop. Minnesota Vikings with a backup QB and loss. The Minnesota Vikings are a borderline playoffs team. A third string QB off the scrap. And Carson Wentz was a. Carson Wentz was a borderline MVP before he got hurt with the Eagles.

27:58A borderline. It doesn't matter. He's a confident quarterback. What makes Gino Smith, what are you going to tell me Gino Smith is that much better than Carson Wentz. What's going on Watson was a MVP candidate. What's he look like now? So wait a second. So what we're going years ago first of all, first of all, Carson Wentz and Gino Smith are practically the same quarterback. That's what they all. They're the same. They're the same. They're the same. Smith was not good last year. Geno Smith was not good last year with the Raiders because the Raiders give the he gave Geno Smith to the jets. They're paying his salary this year because he wasn't that good. He wasn't that good. All right. And speedy reminds us Carson Wentz was MVP candidate 10 years ago. Who cares? And Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz beat a better team. And Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz beat a better team last week in the Green Bay, Pakistan. Geno Smith, by the way, who didn't play as well as you guys think he did.

28:58219 yards. No touch that. He won because they ran the ball. They ran the ball. They ran the ball. What do you mean? You want to you want to compliment Geno Smith? The offensive line gave him seven seconds to throw the ball. Seven seconds. That's good. I'm not again this week. Oh good. And it's not going to happen this week like that. So I can happen like that. So I can happen like that. That's the same thing about the weather sucks. I had the jet's beating Tennessee. What are you talking about? I had the jet's beating Tennessee. I had the jet's beating Tennessee. This is a different Green Bay Packer team. You're going to see here and you're going to look at the game and you're going to say, well, the jet's being Tennessee and Green Bay choked against Minnesota. It's a good is a good measuring stick, right? It depends on what they do to see what the rest of the season is going to look like. Minnesota's defense is so much down, then you know that Tennessee Titans are as bad as you think they are. And that was full goal. That's so so. You're going to have to reassess what the rest of the season is going to look like.

29:58Let me tell you something. I told you I said it was a trap game. I can't easily lose that game if you're not if you're not properly motivated. You want me to sit here. I said that, but they kept giving a credit as if they had showed you. You want me to sit here. They were not going to dominate. They've been terrible. I want me to sit here right now and say, wow, the jets beat the Tennessee time. So it's almost a guarantee they're going to beat the Green Bay Packers, which is a better. Let me speak and then I'll let you speak. I won't talk over you. The Green Bay Packers are a better roster and a better team. They have better wide receivers. They have a better defense. Yes, they do. Then the Tennessee times and the only thing the only thing that jets have an advantage going into the game is they're in met life and they're one and oh and the Green Bay Packers are pressured at that if they lose this game. They're oh and two in a division. They don't have any chance of winning after that because of what we saw with Chicago, what we saw with the Vikings and what we're seeing with Detroit. All right. Here's the facts. You can sit here and say, well, what do we give them credit?

31:00Let the jets actually beat a good team and then we'll give them credit. Then we'll give them credit. We only play the people that is on our skin. Tennessee is not a good team. Tennessee things. You said that these are the good games. I agree with you. I agree with Errol here. Listen, I don't want to steal Belicex way. We're on the Green Bay. Like we did one last week. We did what we were supposed to do. But now we're on the Green Bay. Here's the thing though. And one breath is this is not the same Green Bay Packers if we're going to play this week. Well, who the hell is they? If you could beat my third-screen Minnesota team, why the hell do you think that Geno Smith can't do what he goes through? What? Did you do that? Wait a second. That we have this big giant, this guy in front of us, that we're not going to be able to overcome and I'm telling you, we got exactly the tools to beat Green Bay, Bar No injury. And that's the fact. You keep talking about their defense. We are ranked higher than them in defense after a week one. So just sit here and tell me that this Green Bay defense is just all around and blow out

32:01Green Bay defense. It's not happening. Okay. Jetsterbat. Is it your family or not? First of all, I'm sitting here and I'm not going to be congratulating you because you think. First of all, Minnesota, Minnesota is not a third-dairy team. They're a good team. They're a good team. They're a good, let me speak. I let you speak. I let you speak. Now, don't come you off. I'm telling you right now. You keep saying Minnesota, Minnesota, Minnesota. Minnesota has always been a good defense over the last three years with the defensive coordinator there. That's why you got an extension in New York season. That's why he's one of the highest-bait defensive coordinators in the league because that's a good defense, a great defense. All right. And then go back to Justin Jefferson and what Justin Jefferson did in the game. There are not many players that can do what Justin Jefferson can do. So you go back and you say what you say about what we saw with the Tennessee Titans. They have a young kid that they drafted, Cardell Tate, who is what? He's 21, 22 years old.

33:03He's a kid. He's drafted him in the first round. They brought Ridley. Calvin Ridley hasn't been a good player in three years. All right. And Robinson, forget it was an overpaid wide receiver that had a great season last year with the New York Giants. So what do you see right there on that roster that scares the New York Chets? None of them. More offensive lines. No more Bum. No no Bum. None of them. We keep making all these hypothetical situations. We went out there and did what we supposed to do. Nobody saying that they didn't. I'm not sitting there that they didn't. I'm telling you the Tennessee Titans are not a good team. The Green Bay Paxler is expected to be a good team. If Green Bay, if Green Bay, if they be Green Bay in that life, and I'm not just talking about beating them 21 to 19 and pulling up. If they crush, if they crush Green Bay like they did against Tennessee, then we could say that Jets are back. As of right now, I have to see it to believe it. And I'm not saying Aaron Glenn is not a good coach.

34:03I'm not. But guess what? Everybody was calling for his head at the end of the season. Every single radio show was calling for his damn head. And now all of a sudden, no more Wink Martinale, because that's who we interviewed three times. He's calling at plays. And because the Jets defense actually showed up, actually showed up in one game against a Tennessee Titan team that is expected to be one of the worst three teams in all of the NFL. We're going to brag about it. Jets are back. Just like Caleb Williams is going to win an MVP this year. What a joke. After one game against Carolina. It is a joke. It is a joke. That's it. All right. I think it was a perfect Appalachian state warm-up game. You know what I mean? Go ahead, Speedy. All right. So you guys kind of did Geno Smith enough already. Look at that. Your new graphic up for X. We'll go to Omar Cooper, Steve Belichon. We'll go to Omar Cooper, the other injury on the offensive side of the ball. He's kind of that red zone threat, big-bodied receiver on that team losing him. They have a lot of like, it's a Mitchell playing well, other good targets.

35:06Like, what is a game plan without him and the offense? Ten years to deep. It's Kenyans to deep. You're going to see more Kenyans to deep in the offense. More and more you're going to see him run the ball. They're going to use them in the backfield. They're going to use them in the red zone. They have Mason. They have Mason Taylor, who is another red zone target, big red zone target. Garrett Wilson, they're going to use them in the slot. They're going to use them with many different ways in the open field. And we'll see if Green Bay could defend him. But Green Bay has good secondary. You sitting here and saying, this isn't Tennessee. They've got a good secondary and they can play at a high level. I'm not giving them credit. I want to see the judge do it against a prominent team. They haven't done it yet. You're talking about one win. I'm talking about what they need to do. This is a new season. Great. It's a new season, ladies and gentlemen. A new season. Now, you're going back and say, oh, the playoff Green Bay Packers of last year is the same Green Bay Packers this year. They're not. And Omar Cooper, it's not a big loss because they have AD Mitchell.

36:07AD Mitchell has proven that he can catch the ball and be the second guy. And I think AD Mitchell, AD Mitchell has a chance to prove himself now. Now that you're going to lose Omar Cooper for about five weeks, AD has a chance to show the Jets organization that he could be a one C or a one B. And when Omar Cooper comes back, now you have two guys that can predominantly could be a one A, a one B and a one C on the football field and use them in so many different packages. That's what you want to see. Frank Wright likes to use a lot of different packages as we saw on Sunday last week. He used, he used the double, he used double wide running backs in certain parts of the game in the third quarter. How many times do we see that they had two running backs out on the field? You use Ken and Cedica's a running back. You use Jared, you use Garrett Wilson on the back fields in certain past, past, past place. There was a lot of things that Frank Wright was showing teams that maybe you haven't seen that scheme from the New York Jets over the last couple of years. And now I will say with the weapons that the Jets have, they have an offense that they

37:09can not just worry about just using breeze, hauling, Garrett Wilson, you have Ken and Cedica, you have Mason Taylor, you have, when Omar Cooper comes out, you have AD Mitchell, you have all these guys that you can using open field and with an offensive line, if they can hold it off and it's not Mike Parsons, with Sydney here, Van Ness, he might play, why it might play, they both might play in the game and that might be important that they don't play in the game. But if they do, it's still not the same defense that they will be when Mike Parsons comes back. So the Jets are actually lucky that Mike Parsons isn't playing in this game. Of course. Now we do because of Mike Parsons, I go to the two guys that you named in the beginning. Garrett Wilson and Ken and Cedica, if you look at what Green Bay did against Minnesota, Minnesota did against Green Bay last week, the tight end and Justin Jefferson had their way with them all day. So if Ken and Cedica, it's very fitting that he's wearing the number 16 like Brett Smith, he's your Swiss Army knife, you got to find ways to get him the ball. Any way possible.

38:10If it's out of the backfield, it's at tight end, you line him up outside as a wide receiver, you got to get your playmakers, your athletes, the ball. And I think if what Frank Wright showed in the first week is a sign of things to come, you're going to see that they're going to be moving him around and trying to get him ball as much as they can. And I think that ball's well for them. Putting Cedica as a third of our receiver and making Mason a starter tight end. And that way forced him because we obviously seeing the guy remember the 4-4? Cedica is the greatest. Yeah, he got the crazy speed, it was just as a 4-4. But he has a speed to break away and actually be effective. I think last week with him doing the little Russian touchdown that he did, I believe that was a confidence builder. And then I think going into this situation or going into this game, he's able to line up as a third of our receiver with Gert Wilson, you know, flexing from the X to the Z, allowing that to be, you know, allowing them to be honest in regards to covering him and rolling the covers to him. Now you got 80 Mitchell who has basically, you know, showed that he could be a true

39:12number two. I don't see, I think that would be the best option for them. We have a solid tight end with Mason. You move Cedica as a third-wire receiver, they have to cover that. They can't just double and roll covers to G. Wilson. So going into this game plan, first we're going to establish the run to answer the question. And then outside of that, I think that opens up things with Cedica as a third-wire receiver and then Mason as a tight end. But also as I said earlier, B-Hall basically doing option routes and flat routes to, you know, as far as complimentary football. To this, to my point earlier that I said, Geno is going to play complimentary football. That's the winning method for us. Whatever the defense give you, you take. And that's the going to be the game plan. Now I think they're going to switch it up a little bit and open up the paper a little bit because we, one through three or four, you've got to kind of see what some of these things that we can, you know, get away with. What some of these things and put some film out there on some of these different packages

40:15of different plays that we have in the playbook. And then later on in the season, you're able to implement them in situation or football. So to me, I think that's probably going to be the best lineup for them. It forces Green Bay to be able to have to cover more than one receiver and allow opportunities for us to make big plays, especially if we get off to a hot start that run in the football, which I think we will. As a jet fan, I'm not sitting here and wanting the Green Bay Packers to win. But I'm also looking at it in a different way. I'm not going to sit there and stand up for the jets when I know that jets have done this to me every single year, every single year. I think that the jets are going to come out of it. They're going to find a way out of the hole and they dig themselves even deeper. And again, Geno Smith, we all know that Geno Smith throws a lot of into sections. All it takes, all it takes is one bad mistake in the game and it can cost the jets the game. So you sit here and we go back and we can go back to look at the Dallas, Dallas Cowboys, what happened against New York Giants. And I'm not blaming it on deck, but if that didn't throw that into section at the end of the second quarter,

41:17maybe Dallas, maybe Dallas wins the game. Maybe it goes to overtime. Maybe they beat the Giants. One bad mistake can cost a game. And again, the jets are right now wanting to know. So they're flying high and the Green Bay Packers, we're hearing that Matt LaFlaur might get fired before the season 10. I have guys like Jamie Lee telling me fire Matt LaFlaur, fire Matt LaFlaur, all this other stuff that I hear from the Green Bay Packer fans, but the fact here is the jets haven't proved to me that they're back. And you can say whatever you want from last year and this is a new season. We say this every year, jet fans say it every single year. We're back. We got a different roster. We've got David Bailey. We've got, we'll McDonald's. We've got a pass rush. We got an offensive line that can actually block. We got a running game with Breeze Hall. We got wide receivers, tight ends. We've got everything and we got Frank Wright who actually can call a play. Great. Prove it. We can and we got before we say that jets are back.

42:17There are back ladies and gentlemen. We're back. We're going to win a Super Bowl. We're going to get into the playoffs. We're going to do something. The Bayes could be like, please. They were hurt. They wasn't even in good. They were hurt. I'm not going to make excuses. I never. I never make excuses. Joe, and then you're going to sit here and say, I didn't listen. You're going to be the positive. I'm going to be the native. I'm not going to sit here and give all the positive nature to the New York jets when they haven't proven nothing. I didn't do. They haven't proven nothing. 16 years without the playoffs. 16. Why did you worry? You are on the team. How about this? You are on the team when the team sucked. All right. I'm sitting here today. They had a quarterback. They let them go all the way to Carolina. Then San Francisco. Then Minnesota. Then all the way to Super Bowl, championship Seattle. While we're sitting here with Zach Wilson, which by the way, his girlfriend came out, is writing a book about it, that he was sleeping and that's a true story, sleeping with his mother's best friend. I didn't do it with the price of $2,000.

43:17Great. Great. That's what we went with. But that's what. This is 12. You just gave us a big hit here. His throughout that. Please. Not that long ago, buddy. It's not that long ago, buddy. It's not that. Zach Wilson is not that long ago, buddy. It's not in the 2022 season. You said me. You said Zach Wilson. You said Sam Donnelly. I'm speaking about the organization. And I am not going to sit here. And I'm listening to what Jameson said over here. I'll read it. It's not just that they want. It's how they want. Dominant. Great. They dominated the Tennessee Titans who is arguably the worst team in the NFL. That's a huge point. The defense has a much bigger challenge because they're going against a very, very explosive offense. The Titans don't have any. Nobody had 100 yards last week. The Titans offensive line is not good. The Titans quarterback, not good. The Titans running back wasn't good. The carnal tape didn't do much.

44:19Ridley wasn't even on the field. I mean, Robinson did nothing. You're playing against a much more potent, better, more efficient offense. And a better coach. Nobody had to handle the stop and be able to stop green Bay effectively and consistently. Let's put it because if they play defense, like Dallas played defense, the offense was never going to get an aridum. It doesn't matter how Brie's all runs the ball because he's never going to see the field. Let's put a pull up right now. Let's ask everybody. Let's ask the fans right now because we have a poll. No, I'm not talking about that. Let's put a pull up. Who do you fear more? Matt LaFlor is a head coach or Robert Bambi-Sauve. OK? Let's go ask everybody that. Let's go ask every single person out there. Who wear a freedom? All right? The D-Face of Guru who always got a great defense. Yeah? Wasn't that great on Sunday? Was it? Was it? Yeah, you're point exactly what? They didn't show up. They didn't show up to the game because they didn't practice.

45:20You won't give the judge credit, but you're going to give me the screen. I'm not saying what are you talking about? I never gave the judge credit. He's dead. He's dead. He's not. All right. First of all, you're wrong. You're wrong. I gave the judge all the credit in the world after the game and everything like that. But I'm not going to see here today like you and saying the jets are back. All right. Last one, because we have to get to the bills lines preview. First, the jets interception drought, the lack of turnovers. Jordan loves being known to have some hero ball moments at times. Can they get some turnovers in this game? First of all, when was the last time the jets had a no-deception? Three years ago? We've 15 of 2024. We played a word game. OK. Oh, no. Now you're playing one game. Now you're saying the jets have to play one game. Now you're saying they played one game. I was going to get a great score line. Ponds first game as a jet. He gets a pick. I would love to see it. I'll call my shot later today with that, all right? I love D'Angelo Ponds. I'm excited to see him on a football field. I watched him play in Indiana all season long. I've spoken to some of his teammates

46:21when I was at the Heisman dinner. I know who, D'Angelo. I didn't even think the jets were going to get him. I asked, D'Angelo Ponds was not there at the Heisman dinner. But I had an opportunity to speak some of the teammates. And I asked him what he was, he all said that the kid is just as good as a team leader as Mendoza is. And he's just as important to that team and winning a championship as Mendoza was. And Mendoza said the same thing. So when you look at the perspective that the jets actually have a player coming back that could play a big part, we'll see how it plays in and how everything works out for the New York jets. The thing is, and again, going back to this game, I wonder what jet team is going to show up on Sunday. Is it going to be the New York jets that we didn't believe they were going to be this year, that you believed? They were going to be, or is it going to be the same old jets when they actually play a team that's just as good or better than them where they lay up allows you go say it because we've seen this before. And again, as far as interceptions are concerned, until the jets get one, I don't believe it. I want to see the jets finally getting an interception.

47:23They had a chance against Kim Ward three or four times in that game and they dropped the ball. They dropped the ball was in their hands and they dropped the ball. So until somebody intercepts the ball, that's where they brought Mika Fitzpatrick in. That's where they brought him in. Mika Fitzpatrick was going to be that ball hawk, that he was going to be that captain in the field and it's going to put everybody in position. Now, DeAngelo Ponds, and that's why I said, DeAngelo Ponds, if I was running this team in this organization, which I'm not, and I'm not going to sit there, I am. If I was the coach in the team, I would actually say, hey, DeAngelo, would you like to see if you can be a free safety? If you can be a free safety, you would help us significantly. Now that Mika is out, let's move you to the free safety position where we can move you around the field, where you can hit. You can control the field and do the things that we need you to do. I just think when I'm sitting here today, I don't know what the jets are going to put out there. Aaron Glenn is untrustworthy until he's trustworthy. And again, why is it that we were hearing? You were even agreeing to it. You were even agreeing before the season started that Mike Thomas out there.

48:23If Mike Thomas out there, Aaron Glenn is doomed. Did you not say that? He's doomed. He's doomed. So what are we sitting here for? He can't win games because he's doomed. He can win and still be out of the door. That don't mean nothing. Really? I've never seen a jet coach get fired after winning. Never seen it. Well, when the last time won, Aaron. Exactly. I just said that. I just said that. That's my three. I just about 1960 now. Horse and buggy. Get it right. I was waiting for my time. Who's way before my time too? Yeah. In regards to the interception, it'd be cool. It'd be great if we do. I'm really not be sold on like, hey, that's going to be a detergent. I think that we're more likely to get a strip set, formal recovery than interception. In this particular game, I think there's going to be opportunities for Bayley and McDonald to actually get to the QB and get a strip set. So I think that's more likely than the interception.

49:24I just need the DBs to play a complimentary football. I need them do their job. I need it to stay on top and not give up a big place. And they do that. We win the game. Maybe you should reach out to them. I don't care about none of that other stuff. If the opportunity is there, obviously, catch the ball. And let's go to other way. We get a strip set and a formal recovery than an actual interception. Why don't you give a call to the defensive coaches over there and the cornerback coaches and the DBs and everybody out there. And why don't you just call and say, listen, I'm not expecting you to get an interception. No, I'm not. But I'm expecting you to pick six or a formal recovery of something like that. This is because I understand from a fan that a player perspective. It looks good for the fan where we get an assumption, whatever. But it's actually better if you can hold them under a certain yardage. If you can ask these, create a turnover through another way, we still could get a formal recovery. That's that's. So I want to give you a number that maybe you don't know.

50:2759% of the time when a team has an interception in the game, the other team throws the interception, the team that intercepts the ball wins the game in the NFL. 59% of the time. So you're telling me that is not important. You're telling me that isn't important to get an interception? Yes, 59% of the time. What's the number of fumbles? I don't know. I'm just telling you what I know. You didn't look that one. I would say history would say that the Jets are overdue for an interception because it's been so long. I said that last year. I said that last year. I'm just speaking of truth. I want to see it happen before it happens. I'm not a fairy. I'm a. So let me get this straight. Let me get this straight. The Jets. If a Jets get an interception and lose, you're okay with that because we got an interception. No, I'm not. Okay. So what's more important, the win or the interception? A win. But guess what? If I'm sitting here today and I'm arguing my points

51:30about where the Jets are and who the Jets are as a team right now, I don't know who they are. They beat a bad team last week. They beat a team that was not ready. They were not ready. Robert Sala. Robert Sala. And to the media, he said, listen, we didn't have a good game. Well, it wasn't our best game. Well, we're going to go into. Yeah, but how many times have you heard that? Every day, every week. What do you agree with what they say? What they lost? What the hell did they say? What do you mean? What did they say? Through a third screen. They chose. They chose. They chose. They couldn't stop Justin Jefferson. I don't know. I didn't watch Mike Parsons podcast to find out what the locker room was saying. I will say this. Malaflor is on the hot seat. He needs to win this game because if Malaflor goes O and two with the green Bay Packers, you're going into week three where you're contending against. I think if a lot of mistaken, either Chicago would Detroit, they're facing. No, it's Chicago next week because Detroit's playing the Jets next week. I think they're playing Chicago next week. So they're in a slew of trouble.

52:31If they go into a game and they lose against the Jets and they're O and two and they're going into a divisional game where they can pretty much end their season. And most teams that go O and three, I don't know what the percentage is, but it's not good. It's like seven ever or something like that. It's not good. I don't think he's on the hot seat yet. I mean, how long they keep Mike McCarthy? That's one of those franchises that keeps. I look hard for longer than they should. Malaflor was on the hot seat last year after the playoffs, after the playoffs. And what happened was is after the game, I know everybody was asking, Jordan, love questions about, well, what do you think about the coach? And he says, listen, he's my coach. It's not the coach's fault. We didn't play at a high level in this game. We choked in the fourth quarter. We had an early lead and we thought we were going to drive away. And that's what he said pretty much. And Malaflor spoke about it. He took all responsibility. And after that, he got extended. I don't know if he got extended last season, but was the other season before. It was either the season before last week, last year or it was at the end of the season.

53:32Nevertheless, Malaflor is going to be on the hot seat because with the Green Bay Packers, the money they've invested in, Mike Parsons, who's not on the field. And the players that Jacob's they paid, Jordan, love just got paid. This is an organization is expected to win now. Yeah, Watson got paid. Jayden Reed, this is his final season as a Green Bay Packer. So he's a free agent after this year. So that means he might be going somewhere else too, just like Dobs, because Dobs didn't get his money either. He got his money with the Patriots. So this is, this might be Matt LaFlor's last final season. And maybe we see Mike Tomlin over there in Green Bay, maybe not with the Jets. So you're sitting here today. I want the Jets to win. I'm not saying I don't want them to win. I'm just saying that as a jet fan and as a jet person and loves the team as an organization, I have seen this before. I have seen this every single, not well, not every single year, but a lot of the years when the Jets were half decent, I thought I remember when the Jets and Rex Ryan, they

54:33were three and a. Remember that? They were three and a. Before you on the team, before you on a part of the organization queue, they were three and a one season with Rex Ryan. And what happened to them that second year after the AFC? What happened after that? They lost like four consecutive games and they went from three and a three and four. Okay? This is an organization that doesn't keep it. With they're playing at a high level, they don't continue to continue to continue to play at a high level. I want to see the Jets do that. And until we see the Jets do that, I could go back and look at what the Jets did 20 years ago, five years ago, 10 years ago, it's not going to make a difference. And you say, well, it doesn't matter about what happened then. It matters what happens now. But guess what? Guess what? Everybody had Aaron Glenn out at the end of the last season. Everybody. They had wink Morton Dale in the facilities three times and told Wink he's going to be the defensive coordinator. And then at the last minute, they said, you could be a defensive coach, but you're not going to be the defensive coordinator. It's going to be him.

55:34So everything that Jets have said over the years has been a joke. And even in the all season, there's a lot of jet like things that happen to the New York Jets. I just want to see this organization go under the radar. Stop it. Jet fans. Stop going out there. JET. I saw it. I'm by the way, want to give a shout out to fireman Ed. I want to give a shout out to fireman Ed. After the Jets won, he was in a bar screaming JETs, Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets. Great. Intentacy. That's great. And you know what I'm going to say to the fireman Ed and the JET fans, it's very simple here. You can go out there and have a million podcasts, which the Jets do, by the way, the Jets, they go and they fly high. There's so many JET podcasts out there. It's unbelievable. But guess what? As many as many of the jet pot, we're a half a jet podcast. As many as there are JET podcasts, as many as losses that the Jets had back to back years. And by the way, look at what, look at where the green Bay Packers are, the green Bay Packers

56:39going into losing last week, they have lost six games in a row from last year. And you still get them credit six games. That's the crazy. Yeah, I remember. Yeah, we went through with us. We didn't win the first game in how many years, eight years. We win the first game. You don't give us credit. I did six. Wait a second. Wait a second. Who else? I don't know. You have to remember there's a direct correlation between Jets and Metz fandom. A lot of Jets fans are Metz fans. Not true. I'm a JET fan and I'm a Yankee fan. Yeah, but a lot of Jets fans. No, my friend Ryan Barard, my friend Mike, my friend Danny, they're all Jets and Yankee fans. That's not true. That's not true. The giant Yankees Rangers. Nicks. The common Jets, Metz Islanders, Nets. I think it would be 60 40. It's not as much as you think. Either way, that means that there's a large population of Jets fans that are also Metz fans,

57:39which are delusional people that are not delusional. Yes, you are. You celebrate. We won the series because the A.B. April, how did you how did you fare the rest of the year? Can you bring up a definition of fandom please for these guys? Apparently, you can only be a fan if you win. Well, we do have to move on. So we'll do that for another time. Let's go to a team. A New York team is about to kick off. That's the Buffalo Bills. They're unveiling their new stadium against the Detroit Lions, where I'll just mention. Two high scoring offenses, 36-31 win for the Bills and a 31-31 win for the Lions. Josh Allen and Jared Golf both playing well in that game. Me or Gibbs, 156 yards and two touchdowns last week, but they did lose to offensive lineman, Christian Mahogany and Breake Miller. James Cook did not run the ball well for the Bills, but DJ Moore and Dalton K. both with very strong games against a Lions secondary that had a tough time last week. At Oliver, might not play in the game. He might not play. He has not participated in practice all week. So that's a huge loss against a Detroit team that is going to put pressure up the middle. They're going to do things like that.

58:41I mean, offensively, they're going to be able to control the line of scrimmage if I'd Oliver is not on the field. So I think losing at Oliver for this particular game is going to affect the defense of the Buffalo Bills. Now, again, Brady is a good offensive coordinator and he's now a new coach. And Josh Allen proved to everybody why he could be in a good defense. The Texans are great defense. They were the best defense in a league last year. I know this is a different year, but it was practically the same roster. And they completely at some parts of the game dominated the line of scrimmage, especially what DJ Moore did against Lasseter last week. So I'm going back to arguing what the Buffalo Bills did in the game very, very well is they threw the ball very, very well. They gave Josh Allen the opportunity to get control of the game and get the tempo of the game. And it really they started to fly very, very well going into the third quarter. Now they let the Texans come back.

59:41The Texans came back in the fourth quarter and the game was very, very close. But Buffalo is not a defensive team this year. They're not considered a defensive team. They're going to be a, I would say, an 11 or 12, maybe 13th ranked defense this year, but their offense is going to be elite. They have a DJ Moore now, a number one wide receiver. They haven't had a guy like that since digs. Now they have tight ends. Dalton can take, can Kate had his best game as a pro on Sunday. He played fantastically. And that's what we wanted to see Dalton can. If I'm not mistaken, can Kate was a first round draft. It was the only tight end and I supposed to be a loaded tight end draft that went in the first round. He was a first round talent. He was blocking. He was catching the ball in the backfield. They used him in running schemes. That's what you wanted to see Dalton can Kate turn into. We didn't see a lot of knocks. 1:37:10would go in the practice gym which is uh right around the corner and the only way you can get in you got to have a pass goal so only only you know only a certain amount of people were in there and it got heated it got heated but I will say from a development standpoint it's the best time of the year like I get playing in the you know in the regular season competing during the season all that's great but when when you're going up against people that you've seen on tv that you see are on the level that you want to get at man it just brings a different type of lock-in mentality like it it isn't just showing up you know after class you know kind of logging out and around no you got to be on your pees and cues when you walk in there because you know you got you know for me it was Raymond Felton walking in there it was Kendall Marshall walking in there Tallah Hans burl um you know we had um uh you know John Henson coming back like you had to you had to

1:38:11be on your pees and cues those are the best times man and I missed those more than anything um I still remember my freshman year though I didn't get any type of PT see nowadays they like nowadays they they don't do like that initiation phase man I remember I still remember I was sitting on a sideline 10 o'clock at night we had uh we just got done running the word Williams camp I'm tired as hell but I I just like the only way I can stay up is if I get on the court and I can run man I'm sitting on the sideline for an hour not playing at all people skipping over me the only burn that I had my freshman year um that I remember is when Rashid Wallace kicked the ball up in the stands and they have the bleachers up so if the ball goes in the stands you have to you have to rock climb to get to the seats so that was deep that was the end when as soon as it goes

1:39:11up there they yell freshman and you got to go up there and go get the ball and that was the only only burn that I got a lot of the time during my first year so I tell that story as it's a lot of humbleness that comes with it but it's a lot of great times because you're going up against some of the great players all right so we spoke about Mike Malone a little bit and now obviously Mike Malone's Jordan's guy right so is that higher like the key to like unlocking like UNC's Warch has for basketball and like Michael Jordan and getting like more involved with like the collective is that where is that where that like that idea comes from because Mike Malone was a relatively like not a big top candidate for that job right I mean it's just Jordan's guy man from what I've heard it was he was the top guy yeah it was just it's just they didn't put it out there um he was going to the practice his last year sitting on the sideline again his daughter was on the volleyball team so they brought him right over and let him see practice uh he

1:40:16was on the the inside Carolina podcast talking about basketball to everyone else it was all the other college coaches that we were here at Mount Billy Donovan um the cadet Arizona Tommy Lloyd um those are what we were hearing about but Michael Malone was the top candidate the entire time and I don't know to your I can't answer to your question um but I know that he's the right fit because he understands again he understands the responsibility look how he has hit the ground running as soon as he was higher he went out to see all the top recruits and hell he has something to sell he has the fact that I I coach I change like I coach yo-kitch look what he's doing I want to NBA championship you want to get to that level come on let me teach you I can teach you something to get you there we are talking to former North Carolina guard and current ESPN college basketball analyst Joelle Berry and by the way he actually is a national champion so so anybody

1:41:19that understands what it takes to win a championship it's not that easy and I want to get into where the AP top 25 is sitting right now and I'm looking at it Michigan's right now ranked number one going into the season this year then as Yukon Arizona Duke Illinois Purdue Houston Iowa State Florida it pretty much the same thing St. John's this last year now Michigan just lost uh uh Dusty May he's no longer a part of the organization he went to Dallas he took over for Dallas so I'm looking at Michigan this year they have a great recruiting class Yukon had a very good recruiting class and they brought back two of their big important players to their roster last year Duke has probably the best recruiting class this year but again we've seen this before and I'll go back to John Shire and I don't trust John Shire everything that he does it just makes me want to jump through the TV screen and rip them and choke them by his neck there are things that he does against defensive teams that

1:42:20make you shake your head getting the ball into play is something that he doesn't know how to do very well either it's been a big problem for him but I'm looking at this list why is it North Carolina in the top 25 it's a great question it's a great question simply put um I just think some of it is you know you look at what they're returning um a lot of what they're returning wasn't their last year um even the guys that were on the bench they aren't they weren't they probably won't play huge roles and so you're looking at this North Carolina team and kind of sometimes how the rankings work look I'm not a huge fan of the rankings I'll just put that out there just because in this era especially how in the hell do you rank teams and you don't know what these teams have come in their in their locker rooms you don't know how these teams are operating so I I don't like the whole preseason rankings but I think the the the the consensus on Carolina is they can be a top 10

1:43:24team or if the pieces just don't work they can be a they can be a the the the 2015 in the country or lower I think what they're doing with Carolina right now is let's place them in a place where it's reasonable where it's not crazy where people are asking why aren't they ranked and let's see what they can do I think that's the I think that's the true consensus on Carolina right now there are true there are actually three coaches that I really follow in college basketball Danny Hurley from Yukon obviously Rick Patino from St. John's and John Calipari from Arkansas three great coaches all three of them besides Danny Hurley coached in the NBA but Danny Hurley was a multi champion we all know what Yukon has been since he's taken over over there when you look at all three of these coaches what coach would you take in front of the other and why oh I think I'm going with Danny Hurley I think and the reason why is I know he gets you know a lot of people say his coaching style isn't the

1:44:30best and that he's a little you know with the antics and whatnot or a little overkill but the one thing that it does is it gets his players to buy in it gets his players to believe that no matter where they are in the season in a game they believe because their coach believes but also why I like it is because he holds the he holds them to a standard so I mean those are you pick some really hard coaches to put up to put at number one all of them all of them are great coaches but I would probably go with Dan because that's the language that I speak and I want a coach that's going to get on my ass I want a coach that's going to you know when the time is needed shoot my coach Williams told me if you're going to shoot the basketball had the balls to make it so I like I like those type of coaches and I think that's what Dan Hurley is and I think he just the way he does it he just gets his players to buy in now I'm a Rick Patino fan St John's basketball is big

1:45:35here in New York everybody knows it we want to see a champion we haven't seen a champion a long time ago I mean it's St John's basketball hasn't been up to par for a very long time but Patino over the last two years has taken this team far and we saw what happened they lost against Duke but they had a great run last year I think they might even have a better run this year they brought in some guards they brought in actually this is going to be a better shooting team than they were last year and you know Patino he preaches defense what are your thoughts to St John's this year could this be a final 14 this year something that the St John's red storm has not been for a very very long time yeah I mean they brought in Yusufay from from Baylor who is he I don't he reminds me of Anthony Edwards the way that he plays the way that he moves he's very smooth I think the one Achilles heel for St John's has been their shooting and it's because of the style like they want to they want to get up in you they want to they want to pressure you they want to

1:46:38make the game so chaotic you can't even think sometimes some of the some of the guys that can shoot just don't get down defensively like that so I don't know if their defense will be to the extent that it has been in the past but I think having the shooting is going to open up so much for them because that has been an Achilles heel for them I love Rick Patino in the way that he plays because a lot of teams down the stretch where they beat you is that they continue to speed you up and a lot of teams at the end of the game they are playing not to lose and they put so much pressure on you to where they make you play this chaotic hell to shelter style and so I just think we're adding the shooting this year for them I think that's going to be a huge piece that unlocks what they need to do to get over that hump because you're right they've been super successful but they've they've ran into this wall and that wall has been shooting no it's Kim Booser last year well yeah but they look at look how at the end of the game they

1:47:44they do almost lost anything yeah they just couldn't keep up with the style of play they were still trying to push after we're in in St. John's that's that's how they make you play they had no guard play in that game either I thought St. John's dominance on the guard play was why they were in that game why Rick Bettino kept that kept the red storm in the game is because I just thought Duke's guard play was horrible throughout the tournament they had they had too many injuries and some of their bigs and again Kim Booser when you depend on one player to do everything it affects your team you need multiple players if you want to win a championship and that's something that I say about John Chirre look at that Cooper flag team look at that team that they had that was the best chance he had to win a championship but the problem was when it go and get stuff who do the lean towards Cooper flag that's what he did and that's why Duke couldn't jump and knock off a Houston team which by the way by the way didn't win the national championship they didn't they didn't win the national championship because they were a defensive team they had no

2:40:57regards to the San Francisco game I don't know based off what we saw even if they were well arrested that they beat San Francisco San Francisco completely was way more aggressive they opened up their playbook CMC was getting off like they they really you know came to play and really took that game serious and anytime you look at and I know all the vision games are serious but if you specifically within them see where's if you go out there and look at them game San friend and LA and someone who you know finished my career and and trained the captain preseason with LA that is a real rivalry and I know it's not you know Green Bay Chicago or whatever but when it comes to that division San Francisco and LA can't stand each other they don't matter how terrible either one of the teams are they're going to really go after each other it's going to be a blowout back so I was definitely surprised that they got beaten at fashion it Matthew Stafford look like he gave up and he didn't really come to play along with other guys as well but what I did recognize

2:43:04they're not actually you know playmakers to the point where they're going to be able to separate and I think that when you look at the game and you look at the game plan I love with the aggressive that the Giants brought with Cowboys but they're not still going to the box going to look and I say hey you still didn't rush over a hundred yards where you were completely dominating Dallas defense and they're completely terrible so you know those type of things looks out and the league now and a hundred yards and not even a measuring rod new more in this NFL then it's like when 2021 30 to be considered like a good game now a hundred is like kind of expected with the high-powering office and the way the league has shifted towards the offense so when I look at the box score and I see what New York Giants did last week and I see what the LA Rams did last week I see it's going to be a re-first team I think Aaron Dardo comes in and he does this thing I don't see him just playing third down he has to get some series in there because I think if LA Rams bloated staying wide open as I'm expecting him to do he's not going to be playing in those later minutes so if he just playing

2:44:07you know third down and he only get about you know seven to ten series and the first half then that's going to be an issue with his condition and preparation going for him so I think it be wise for them to put him in at least a series or two maybe the first series you do third down just kind of get him acclimated but like that third and fourth series he gonna need to be in the game to be able to actually get real-time conditioning to be able to uphold what he got coming towards towards the rest of the season but I think it's all over height but in this particular game I think the Rams below out the Giants and the reality is it should be something like we see him right now with the bills and just show it with the double digit win I think the Rams win this game but I don't know if it's a big blowout I think if you looked at the game against San Francisco the travel plans completely sabotage them and buy it buy with that what I mean is your giant guys your offense alignment a defense alignment looked visibly slow against San Francisco like it looked like they were old tired and slow now I don't have to tell you Q being the size that you are if you sit on

2:52:23either the way they look at the Rams just without Miles Garrett either the Giants offensive line did well in week one against the Cowboys but again they still can't just go into the game same game plan now the Giants all interior offensive line did a good job against the Cowboys which I thought were tough on the interior on paper but the Rams are still very tough as it is too and say kind of think with their defensive line they still have to game plan enough for the Rams with the way their offensive line is kind of restructured as it is now you you brought up the slot concepts with McDuffee which is interesting too and the Ravens offenses with Harbaugh and Roman in the past have done a lot of slot concepts with those receivers I'm curious if the Giants are going to try to tell you about neighbors I was gonna say I was even to say Mooney watch out for Mooney in this game because he's better in the slot than he is in the outside I think the Giants messed up by putting him in the outside too much last I think you put neighbors in the slot McDuffee is not playing the slot and they're not going to move McDuffee they're going to keep him on the outside playing one on one I'm telling you right now if you see the Giants put neighbors in a slot I'm going to tell you I told you that's what they're going to do that's the only way they're going to try to stay in

2:53:25this game and be able to compete with the Rams because I wouldn't they move McDuffee I mean McDuffee moved all over the field in Kansas City they should I think they will I think they will in certain pages but they should they should they should do it where they're still emphasis is on neighbors regardless of where the Rams defense and the way the Rams like to run they like to keep their best guy on the outside and I don't think McDuffee is going to be chasing neighbors the whole game I think they're going to they're going to put make they're going to try to move neighbors into the slot or Isaiah likely in the slot they're going to do that a lot and what they're going to do is they're going to try to beat mits they're going to try to play with mismatches and try to be they're going to try to beat the Rams on the mismatches I'm telling you know I don't think the Rams defense gives up the second level the way the Cowboys defense did all no I just I don't see that being I don't see that being a wide open like it was all night against the Cowboys you got to think two Braggs there's a point of emphasis with the Rams defense you saw it how they got exposed badly last year at the end of the season especially with even with both games of Carolina and with Seattle at the end of

3:45:52All right, the final what's that smell is going. And my heart goes out to Metz first baseman. Jarrett Young. He was carted off the field tonight in the six inning Thursday night's game. Three and a half in loss against Philadelphia after being knocked out and being struck to in the head by a knee by pitcher Nolan McLean as they both like committed to a play and unfortunately Nolan need him and knocked him flat out. And unfortunately this is going for a lot of med fans and med fans are watching this. It's not fun to watch. And it seems like this more everything is rocky when it comes to the meds. Every single thing keeps getting rockier and rockier and rockier. And then the only did Peter Lonzo show up and abuse them over the weekend, hitting two home runs, hitting the three is 300 home wrong in in city field, but also helping them beat the meds and winning that series.

3:46:54But then losing against one of your nemesis and being embarrassed and then obviously you're losing your first baseman being knocked out. I mean, he was flat out knocked out. He was like seeing birdies, seeing stars, whatever he was seeing. I mean, you might as well put him in a ring with Devon Haney or Ryan Garcia. He was done out like a light. So unfortunately, what does it smell like? Well, I'm not so sincere the way speedy says it sounds like it smells like the dump that I'm going to lay after the show. Because that's where I'm going right after the show as I always do. That's a suck fish going, asshole. Squeeze his head like a melon. All right. That is it speedy. That is our what's that smell. But listen, thank you to Joel. He really was sensational. Thank you to Nathan for lending him. I know the basketball season's right around the corner. And I know he's going to be busy. But the fact that he came on the show and just hung out with us.
