About this episode

“Crest for Albertsons, Vaughn's, and Pavilion's. It's time to stock up and save now through October 27th. Get $10 off when you spend $25 or more on participating items.”From the transcript

Opie sings Beastie Boys sort of!? They tear through the documentary, MCA, Ad-Rock looking like a Jewish accountant, Paul’s Boutique bombing, and how Sabotage got made. Then it’s Stern working one day a week and still winning, Trump’s Space Force uniforms ripped from Starship Troopers, and Mitch McConnell getting wheeled out after three months looking catatonic. Ron gets roasted for Dancing with the Stars. Bob Mackie, Glen Campbell, Brian Wilson, and Pet Sounds all get hit.The back half is Opie naming the comics who used the old show then vanished — Rogan, Theo, Bert, Sherrod — and the few who didn’t forget. Unfiltered, bitter, and still funny.

Yes, Rob.

What's wrong? What was that? What was that you just did? That was that's from short shot. That may be your best impression so far. Oh, thank you. I'm great at the impressions. You know what I mean? I saw the Beastie boys documentary on Netflix, one of the streaming services over the weekend where they're talking in front of a big crowd at the Beacon Theater and going through the history of their band. It was terrific. But you know, the one guy, the yak. What was his name? Yuck. He thought of cancer in 2012, 27 years old. He was the brains behind the Beastie boys. It's pretty obvious. The other guy walked out. He looks like he's your Jewish accountant. I'm like, how is this guy? How is this guy ever in the Beastie boys? And then the other guy Mike, he just kind of goes through like Mike. Mike he does. Mike he did because he did a lot of drugs. But the documentary was good, but it was really hard to look at the one dude that literally looks like your Jewish accountant. You're like, how was this guy? I don't know. Yeah, how is this guy in a punk slash rap band? Wait a minute. Wait a minute.

It's just like a recent, this just recently came out. I think it's a couple of years old. I think it's a couple of years old. Oh, you said you just saw it. Yeah, I just finally saw it. You know, I've been wanting to watch it. I mean, the story of the Beastie boys is fascinating. And I liked it a lot, but I don't know. It's amazing. Those guys were embraced in the punk world at first and then embraced in the rap world. Like run DMC love those guys and they were just stupid Jewish kids. Literal kids. You mean stupid kids? Stupid kids? Oh, sorry. Well, yeah, the Jewish thing too, yes, because when you think hardcore gangster rap, you don't think Jewish kids. Yes. Madish Yahoo, baby. You know, Madish Yahoo. I know the Madish Yahoo. I love the Madish Yahoo. This is, by the way, yeah, hold on. Let's get real for a second. You don't get that fucking successful, right? Luke, these guys were world class musicians. They truly, they could play every fucking instrument.

They synthesizers. They were truly classically trained musicians. Very smart. They loved music. Their albums like Paul's boutique, do their albums are fucking ridiculously good. They're so good that the rap world had to embrace them. Well, I saw the documentary you did. So let me get in here. Paul's boutique. Do you know about that album that it was a complete and utter failure when it first came out? Do you know that at least? No, I don't, I don't deal in sale yet. License to ill was a huge success with you got to fight for your right to party. Oh, wait, was that on there? Yeah, I think it was. It was. Okay, you know, and that was a group song. It was from Yacht's other band. He was in another band in Brooklyn and they used to play this song basically called, you got to fight for your right to party. But it was mocking, you know, the frat guys that just, you know, go to parties and drink their faces off and look like idiots. It was a mock song that the Beastie boys ended up embracing because it was such a massive

hit. And then, and then they thought that the frat boys would stay away from their music because the song literally was making fun of them. And now they came out and drove to support the Beastie boys and then the Beastie boys were confused. We don't want this for ourselves. So then they try to reinvent themselves many, many times after that. Just, I mean, listen to their albums. It's just forget about like wrapping lyrics. Right. And then the instrumentalist is, they're serious musicians. Adam Horowitz's father is real Horowitz. Is a an award winning playwright like he's a serious fucking dude. How do you know this? It's a juicing, June. All right. Well, Adam also, you know, the, I think it was the greatest rock songs of the last, well, I guess you got to say like 30 years now is sabotage. And you know, that Adam went into the studio, you know, yuck, yuck, lay down that baseline, you need, you know, and then Adam's like, decided to start screaming at the engineer that

was in the studio that day just with nonsense. It was just nonsense. And they're like, yeah, this is all right. Let's put this behind yuck's baseline and the rest of history. That's how sabotage was born. I had a friend who saw them at Mads Square Garden. And I think they were really, they may have been one of the first bands to have a circular stage in the middle. Yeah. In the middle. And I think they were the first band to do it. And my friend who went to a lot of concerts said he was fucking blown away. He did not expect it. He said it was the greatest rock show he's ever seen. He said the energy was through, he said he had goosebumps. He said the energy was through the roof. Everybody was one. Now that's a real rock show. He just said their energy and their professionalism. Go ahead. Are we going to talk about the Beastie Boys all day? It was supposed to be a little, a little, hey, I saw this documentary.

Hey, I'm singing intergalactic, very planetary. And then we should have moved on already. I know. Now you're reviewing concerts from 25 years. That's right. How often do we get to talk about white Jewish rappers? That's it. All right. The, the, the black cast, $5. Uh, nothing but super chats on the big screen today. Let's try that approach today. So maybe we can make a few, a few bucks morning. What do you think about Howard Stern saying? Serious loves him working one day a week and then it was his idea to get rid of Channel 101. Uh, what do you, what do you mean? What do I think? I get inside knowledge when I was a big radio show at Serious XM. I went to him. I go, hey, I've worked a long time for you guys. Would you mind if I start taking Fridays off? They were out of their minds. They're not happy that Howard's only doing one day a week. He's the whole dead company. What are you talking about? And it wasn't his idea to get rid of 101. The company's like, hey, if you're going to work one day a week, then you're wasting one

of our channels. So now we're going to get rid of 101. We're going to give it to the eight girl and he call in. And then you got your one channel where you do your one show a week and then the rest of time we'll do archives. Why do you got to come to me for the logic? Why? Why? Thank you. End of rant. So here's my conclusion to what you just said. Yeah. Once again, Howard Stern is winning. Of course he's winning. Getting his fucking way. Of course. And I get people to go jealous much. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm jealous. I don't think, uh, I don't think I've ever heard Howard Stern go, uh, thank you for the $10 super chat. I don't think I've ever heard of say that. Hey, man. But you know, John Corses gave me 20 on the PayPal. Ah. Yeah. I mean, John Corses is pretty much funding this whole operation at this point because no one else could be bothered to give even $5. There's John Corses. He just gave us another 20 on the PayPal. Um, anyway, Howard's back. Everyone's, uh, uh, uh, everyone is, uh, well, everyone is, uh, well, serious would

like you to think that everyone's excited. But everyone's just like, ah, all right. I'm going to get back finally. Great. All right. I'll tune in maybe here and there. Um, I sent you, I sent you if you want to show it, how was response to people like criticizing them and call them a scumbag? And he's like, he's like, oh, I'm surprised. Like, why are people saying that about me? This is like, this is from like yesterday. He's responding to all the criticism of lashing his staff. It's in your text. Yeah. I, uh, you know, when you're in charge of a big show, a lot of people like to say a lot of shitty things about you. So I, I, I have a, uh, maybe a soft spot for Howard when it comes to this horse shit. You know, you're the guy that hires everybody, fires everybody, gets their raises, make sure they go on vacation, fight for them, uh, through the bosses and stuff. And then because you were looked at as the, the boss, they turn on you and they say shitty assed things. So I, I have a warm spot for Howard on this one, believe it or not. Howard Stern jokingly labeled himself a scumbag as he broke his silence on toxic workplace

claims. I've never had a summer where I was treated so well on the press equipped sarcastically on Monday season, season premiere. Oh my god. Of serious XM's that Howard Stern show. It was, uh, it was so positive. I can't believe it. Howard 72 continued. I can't tell you how many different people have called me a scumbag. And why are you coming? Why? He didn't see it coming. I mean, I mean, look, he fired people over zoom. And if that, if that's true, then the scumbag label is, uh, accurate. All right. So that's, I don't know. I wasn't there around. I have no idea. I, my personal experience, I, I think, uh, I think Howard Stern is a scumbag. I think he's an egomaniac. I think he's a narcissist. I think he thinks the whole world revolves around him. And he don't give a shit about anybody else. And that's been my experience over the years working at the same company off and on with him for like, I don't know the whole time I was in New York City with a big radio show. So you're trying to tell me like you guys never like, like the two big, the two big talents

at serious XM at the Christmas party. And you two weren't like at the end of the bar. Just going one on one talking shop. You tell me that never happened. Never was I look Howard in Howard and Opie, the two big stars. Look at him. What do you think they're talking about? Now, the company just couldn't, they were too scared to get us together. I, I, the famous story is I, I went to the big, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, the famous story is I, I went to the big, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I went to the big boss. I'm like, this is obviously a problem between the two shows. But I will sit down and talk to the guy and they went, but you want to, you, you want to, you want us to, you, but you, they don't, they don't run the company. Howard's starting runs the company. I can move on from this. Hold on. Is there any way you could quickly show the, the Darth Vader music of him walking past again? I know I can. It's a good video. I know it is. It is. It is a good video. And it's, and it's, and it goes to your point that he wouldn't even have a sit down with you. Yeah. I know. You want to allow to say hello to howie. I know, Ron, but I, I don't have the video like in the system for today. So maybe more.

All right. Hey, A.I. is going to destroy the world, Ron. I was talking to Tony P. about yesterday. He couldn't be bothered. Hey, it's Ryan C. Crest for Albertsons, Vaughn's and Pavilion. Now eight zero zero nine five seven three one five one. But I know I know you you can be bothered by the fact that AI is getting destroy the world, but dancing with the stars starts tonight. Rady babes. So who cares? AI is going to destroy the world. And I know you're dancing with the stars type of guy. Look at you. You love dancing with the stars. You and your roommate, you probably make a popcorn, dance your little soft drinks together and your and your TV trays and you're like, I wonder who's dancing tonight. You're dancing with the stars guy round. All right. So first of all, there's there's two shows. Well, there's more than two, but there's two shows that. Yeah. Take precedent. He gets the couch. He gets he gets he gets the main stage of the living room. He definitely wants one is survivor. Okay. Well, that's a big gate. Survivor. You know, the islands. I'm telling you that is a huge gay man. Dude, I, I, I, yeah, because they have watched parties, dude, because they're shirtless, right? I tapped out of a survivor.

It could be 20 years ago. Yeah. I think I tapped out one year. He's because I used to we used to have all those guys on the show in the early days. Oh, yeah. Oh, we had what's the host name I even forgot. Hey, Boston was it Boston Rob? I did I Boston. I had Boston Rob on. Well, who's the host? I forgot to do with the torch. Putting out the torch stagged. The host of survivor. I know. I can't think of his name, but he's like pick lock. He's not fucking aging. He was he was very cool. And when Jeff, Jeff Probe, Jeff, yeah, Jeff Probe was very, very cool. He came on a lot of the early days when they were getting that show off the ground. They needed a little help from the open Anthony world. We did like a pretty, yeah, he seems like a pretty good down to earth guy. Well, then I, when I realized the show is exactly the same show year after year, they just change islands. I'm like, I'm good. I'm good. I think I've seen it all. I don't need to do the survivor thing. But you're telling me that's a big gay show. I had no idea. It is in the gay community. Yeah. The survivor is a big fucking deal.

And then like for like the finale, yeah, they have the big fucking like watch party. Not like like when, when, remember when they were going to get married on general hospital. Luke and Laura. Yeah. It's like a Luke and Laura every end of the season. And and here's the other one they love. They run. Are you older than me? How do you have a Luke and Laura reference? I also heard about Beethoven. It doesn't mean I'm. I'm. I'm. I've heard about this guy named Jesus. Wait. So I'm assuming the second gay show is Dancer with the stars. That right. So the other show he record. It's the answer to the stars. It's the answer with the stars. And by the way, like if you ever watch a show, yeah, there's a lot of flim boyage. One of the judges, Jesus Christ, you feel like you're going to turn gay just watching the show. A lot of the male dance instructors are very. Who? A lot of the male contestants are gay. This is why I'm sweating.

Well, this is why AIs get destroyed the world because we're too focused on dancing with the stars. Ah, who's going to be eliminated this week? Who gives it? And don't forget. Think about it. It'll be put put put put put two and two together. What in gay men love? They love musicals and they love dancing. Bingo. Give me dancing with the stars. I knew you were dancing with the stars guy. Are you in your roommate? That's right. Are you and your roommate morning, the death of Bob Mackie, too? Are you guys in morning? Do you got your, do you got your, your pants at half-bast for Bob Mackie? You know that very, very famous. Carol Burnett, Skit, which is coming down to stairwell with the, with the curtain, the curtain run. It's supposed to be a gown. And the famous line is, yeah, yeah, I started a window and I just had to have it. That's Bob Mackie. I know. And he's like, I, I, eventually I'm going to, I'm going to be known for that.

I'm going to be known for a curtain ride. I'm going to be known for that and showing belly buttons. Ah, the shared dresses. He dressed out in John. Oh, yeah, is anybody back in that era had sequins? What? This is how much. Wait, this is how much I care. You brought it up. I'm making fun of you. No. Yes. No. Yes. You don't make fun of the dead. What the hell's wrong with you? Hasn't it the 24-hour? Wait for me. And deep morning, wearing your belly shirts as you're more the death of Bob Mackie, as you watch Dancing with the Stars eating some, some, some, some day snack. I'll say this about Bob Mackie. At least he, at least he's one of the major famous designers that didn't come out with some fucking either a massive sex scandal or turned out to be a massive fucking Nazi. I don't know. The other guy they eat, they had the guy who was going to do the met, the met

gala. I don't know. You know, nothing. What do you know? Look at me. I don't do. What do you know? I got, I got a pajamas shirt on. I'm, what do I know about fashion fashion? I know that song by David Bowie fashion. Wait, turn to the left or turn to the right fashion. Whatever. All right. Intergalactic planetary planetary. Well, listen, Opie, girls. Opie. Yeah. I'm going to keep singing. Enter a galactic planetary planetary. Intergalactic. It's a night segway. Yeah. And by the way, this ain't made up. Yeah. Donald Trump has come out with the design for the new space working universe. You want to talk about intergalactic planetary? I just want to say before you show the, and by the way, everybody, this is real. Right. The inspiration for the uniforms. Yeah. And that's what Donald Trump said. He goes, the inspiration is from the movie Starship Troopers.

Starship troopers was a parody about fascism. It was a parody. All right. So what is this? This is the uniform for the, it's the US space force. This is the uniform. Yeah. I was bad at. Oh, yeah. Yeah. The you didn't. That was bad. The I knew you got that. I love you bad ass. I'm high. But I'm fine with getting you to shut off. I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to wear one of these next time. It's in walking for, I'm I didn't. Yes. Oh, Trumpster, the Trumpster is out of it again, bro. He doesn't, he doesn't even try to hide it. Jesus Christ. It's the fucking SS uniform. A choice just gave us five $5 on the PayPal. Thank you. Joyce. Interplanetary. Wait, no, intergalactic plan and Charlie. All right.

Uh, and also, uh, Jay Warren, love this guy. Ronnie, when you put that uniform on, it's coming in. And then I'll beat some dirty. I love that. Beat down some heaps. Let's do it. Trump is, Trump is the king of distracted us. The king. He's the king of distracted us from the real issues. Oh, that's a good day. All right. Why? I think you fucking nailed it. He literally put out, he knew this was, he's not stupid. He's the king of media, just like how it's turned. Well, well, the difference is, let me, let me, I'm jumping in. Yeah, I am. So let's get down the way. I was in the back. I'm sure he came up with his own stupid nickname, the king of all media and then did nothing with it. Literally, he blew off podcasting, he blew off all new media when it was coming across his bow. He did one stupid movie. He did a couple of books. Well, how is he the king of all media? He said he was the king of all media. Yeah. The book went number one.

Then they turned the book into a movie and I think that was number one. I mean, it was successful, right? Right. At that point, he did say I am the king of all media and he guess what? He was fucking right. But he was the king of all media for six months. That's my point. He's been on the radio in like 80 years at this point. There was no follow up. There were no follow ups to his king of all media status. What is he talking about? All right, Ron, we didn't even get to the big story. Who the fuck truly believed that Mitch McConnell was still alive? Poor real. I thought he was, I thought they were hiding his dead body. I thought the Democrats were in on it like, okay, there's what we do down here in Washington. They wheeled him out of his fucking home yesterday, Ron. I thought he was dead. I would have lost on Calche, man. I got it and make that Calche bet. But I got the video. This is literally, I had to ask AI at first until it was payfully obvious.

I had to ask AI is this video real? This is Mitch McConnell. I think this is, I got two versions of it. Let's see if I got the right one. Here it is. Here's Mitch McConnell. There's his house down in Washington. They say, here comes a guy and now they wheel out Mitch McConnell for the first time three fucking bunches, 84 years old. Senator McConnell, how you feeling? Senator McConnell. Senator McConnell, how you feel? Senator McConnell, how you feel? He ain't answering you. He doesn't even know where he is. And they wheel him backwards over the curb. He doesn't even know where the fuck he is. How you feeling Mitch? You feeling all right, Mitch? And then he sort of puts his thumbs off and then they roll him into a car, Ron. They roll him into a car. What the? And then they have to put the seat belt on for him. And this guy's making major decisions for me and you down there in Washington. Thank God we got someone that is so with it that he can make the decisions we need in Washington, DC to make our lives better.

Hold on. Give us a thumbs up. Look at him. Look at his staring. How did Sonic, dude? It's he's fucking catatonic. It's disgusting, Ron. And then you know, this leads to the discussion, you know, term limits. No, I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that rant today. Now, because they have to vote on that. The everyone down to Washington has to vote on that. So you screaming and yelling, well, this is a good example that we need. Term limits down to Washington. Don't even don't even waste your breath because in the end, those guys have to vote for it. And they're never going to vote to get where they're cushy careers. Let me, let me tell you what happened. This is all about one fucking thing. This is about the midterm elections. Mitch McConnell has been putting hiding for three months because if they knew how bad it was three months ago, they would have to have fucking like a special election. Right. It's now so close to the midterms that Mitch McConnell is going to keep his seat. Right. This is all about political posturing. Mitch McConnell is combitose.

Like, by the way, if you, if Mitch McConnell is your constituent and you voted for him, right. Oh, yeah. With this, it doesn't matter. No, by the way, it doesn't matter. No, I'm going to tell you why because these people are supposed to represent us when we vote them in. And then they ignore what we want and they vote, they vote with their fucking party on all sorts of crazy shit. Power. And my point on the Mitch McConnell thing is very simple. He has zero people around him that loved him. Because why would they do that to an 84 year old man? Who gives a shit about his career? Do you think he gives a shit about his career at this point? There's zero people around him that give it enough of a shit to say, yo, we ain't putting him out there anymore. This is fucking crazy. He's 84. He fell. He doesn't know where he is. That's why you got treat people like you treat people nice in your life, Ron. Here's some opi philosophy. You treat him nice in your life because eventually you're going to be helpless.

And that's when you're going to realize whether or not you are good to people in your lifetime. I get I think Mitch McConnell probably was a dick to everybody around him his entire life. And this is what you get at the end of your life. They wheel you around because they don't give a shit about you. You know what this reminds me of? I can't the kid his name. You'll get it. You're a DJ. Very famous country singer. Hey, it's Ryan C. Crest for Albertsons, Vaughn's and Pavilion. It's time to stock up and save now through October 27th. Any getting all. Say it again. Merrill hand. Yeah, yeah, really? It was. What? What? All right, Hamilton. All right, go ahead. Do you remember that went by the way? You're a documentary guy. Did you see that documentary on Merrill hand. Is he the one that had Alzheimer's? Oh, God, no, that wasn't him. That was him. Who is it? I don't know. The other dude.

And I did see that documentary and they were putting them on stage with his daughter for that. Yeah, who is that? I was. That was. Oh, that was the, that was to do that. I had to song about the about the. His voice was amazing about the electricity. The liner of the county, the county liner. I worked for the county. I'm a liner guy. That song. You know, he climbs up the poles. That's his job. And it's about electricity and. In someone. I'll call the police. It's not Randy Travis. No, no. No. He's a good looking guy. Good looking guy. Like, like, honestly, one of the best voices in country music. I'm ready to relax. We got time. I'm going to get this. It's the county guy. He works for the county. His name is. Glenn Campbell. Thank you. Glenn Campbell. Yes. I knew it the whole time.

Like a fucking choice. Is a choice the best. She is the best. By the way, she gave us five bucks. That was probably. The continuing money from the comedy show. Choice and her girlfriends probably peed their pants from the laughter. All right. You're just so great. You're great. Oh, the human. Anthony. You showed my clips. Anthony, Kumia's audience thinks you stink. But I know you're great. Right. Let's let's just. Which a tie lineman? That's the song. I'm the one. I'm in a fucking maker. Right. Thank you. All right. Sing it, Opie. I'm the lineman of the county. And I climb poles in Wichita. And then I go look a bar and drink a few beers. I like to talk socks and my wife's socks. My dog died and I don't have a car. It's on blocks in the front yard. What did you do? A little weird out yank of this version? No, man. That's every country song. You know that. Let me read the lyrics of Wichita lineman.

Yeah, but you've got to sing it. I'm the lineman of the Wichita or something like that. Give me a break, right? lineman lineman lineman Wichita lineman. It doesn't even come up with your tall lineman. My my my internet's not working. I don't. Hold on. Yeah, you want to be chose? Does this look like the old. Okay. So what do you mean? It's not working there. It's now now it's in the here. I don't know. I'm a it's coming up. It's coming up, Ron. Take you know in 2026, you know, we got we got the internet. It's coming. It's it's it's it's loaded. I'm a lineman for the county. All right. I got that part, right? I got that part and I drive the main roads. All right. Search in in the sun for another overload. Oh my God. I hear you singing in the wires. I could hear you through the wine and the Wichita lineman is still on the lie.

Why was this a hit? Jesus Christ. It's working because his voice is fucking magic. His voice is velvet. Look, I know I need a small vacation, but I don't look like rain. If it snows that stretched down south, we'll never stand the strain. Oh, I want. What is this nonsense? Are you able to play the song like without being like charged? I'd rather listen to Chris Stapleton. Chris Stapleton radio. Chris Stapleton. All right. Anyway, but the analogy is they were literally willing out Glen Campbell. And he would if you see the documentary, help me in mid song and just fucking freeze. It was the McConnell freedom goal like this. And then the daughters had to come up in whisper. Hey, dad. It was it was deeply depressing. It was a fascinating documentary. But another guy that probably didn't treat people right around them because they, they were putting them on the stage. He had all fibers. He didn't say what he wanted to do. He didn't know what he wanted to do with that point.

I know it. Keep the money money. But Mitch McConnell, no, it was weekend at Bernie's all the way. That was a weekend at Bernie's. You were watching. Oh my God. What the hell, dude? And we showed a couple of weeks ago. Yeah. Mitch McConnell on the, on the Senate floor. Hold on. I didn't know this. I like knowledge. Drew Mayfield. I like the Drew. Glenn played on all of the Beach Boy albums. I did. I know that. I don't know if I knew that. Thanks for. Is that true? Probably. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. You didn't know that. I don't think so, Ryan. My, my, my knowledge as far as culture music, people go is not that great. It's not that great. What's your knowledge on the Beach Boys? Oh. Good, good, good, good. Vibration. All right. That was actually clever. Oh, Pete, very good. Thank you. Brian Wilson, a little quick right there. Brian Wilson, genius. I thank his dad for beating the shit out of him because that's when the creativity and the

genius came out. And because Brian Wilson's dad beat the living shit out of him, we have some, we have some toe tapers that we enjoyed to this day. So thank you. To the point, Brian Wilson, good evening here out of one year, because his dad just really obsessed about the one year when he was beaten to crap out of them. That's why we got pet sounds because then, then there's Brian Wilson looking like this. And his brothers are on tour banging broads and having the time of their life. And he's staring at the space in a studio for a year or two with his feet in the sand and he, and he creates pet sounds, which some people say is the greatest album of all time. The beer. And you don't have that. And you don't have that unless Brian Wilson's dad beat the shit out of him. And that is a fact. I'm not going to talk about that. The Beatles think pet sounds is fucking genius. And Paul McCottene and John one and say, right. That sounds as the inspiration for such a pep is lonely hot club band. There you go. I think it's the other way around. I think Brian Wilson heard that album and said, fuck, I think I can make my own.

Or was it the other way? No, dude. No, no. No, that's how it blew the Beatles away. All right. Blow out my candle to make yours brighter. Thanks. I'm not blowing out nothing. I only do that for rent. I am only telling the truth. I came up. I came up with which a Todd lineman. However, hold on a second. He works for the county. Rani, where are the county? Are the benefits good for working for the county? Does he get two, three, four weeks vacation? Where does he go in vacation? Because he's got the great job with the county, the pension. But hold on about Brian Wilson. He did like the, you know, what? The second half of his life. He had some real serious metal. Didn't, I mean, was he psychotic, right? Yeah, he was, you know, God bless the Brian Wilson. I met him once at series exam. He doesn't, he doesn't remember or he didn't give a shit that he was meeting me. I let's be fair, but I did technically meet the guy. Was he as crazy as Gary Busy?

Gary Busy rocks. Brian Wilson. He's crazy, bro. Brian Wilson just stares through you. It's kind of creepy. Yeah, it was, it was kind of, it's probably on fucking medication and drugs. Sure. Sure. That's exactly right. All right. I'm going to go already. I hear that the kids rattling about. So I want to get them, you know, ready for the skew all. Now, you got anything else? Well, we can do, we can do a couple more minutes. What the hell? We got, we got everything set up all nice here. Why don't we do a few more minutes? Let me look at my list. Well, I'll tell you what. I haven't even looked at my list. I know, but I, while you do that, I have a, I want to, I want to, I want to make sure I did, I did the Beastie Boys documentary thing. I made fun of Ron because he's a big dancing with the star span. I asked Ron if he was mourning the death of Bob Mackie. And I did a little Glenn Campbell shit. Look at this guy. 20 minutes show. Yeah, you know what? Yeah, yeah. 20 minutes show. I don't feel like doing this for free anymore.

I beg you, idiots. Every single day give us five. $10, $10, $20. And you sit there on your hands doing nothing. You can't even click the like. You can't even download any episodes wherever you find your podcast for the open up filter podcast. So yeah, I do 20 minutes now. Go screw. I need how it's turned where I need the constant attention to be my God damn ego. I don't do this for free anymore. I'm certainly not going to download it now after that, man. Jesus Christ. I appreciate everything. Who wanted to do it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Look at this idiot. You're just, you're just unlisted a bull as he's listening to it. And then he came and spell unlisted a bull right. How about if you're going to go for a hate comment? You're, you're fucking AI. They're shit to make sure on listen. What are the loss of how does he spell it unlisted? Not on the ball unless, wait, unless than a bull. You're just unless than a bull. Stupid Andy. All right, Ron to you to you.

Let you know the voice of calm Ronnie babes. Go ahead. Yeah. I have now come up with a new segment for the opium Ronnie. Wait, Sean Murphy though. Sorry. Opium doesn't need your attention. Thank you, Sean. Back to you, Ron. Did Sean give us any money? Nah. Thanks. All right. I'm going. I'm going back here so you can talk. Go ahead. Hey, this is now the third time. And then you keep it there after me. I know, Ron. You're right. When you're right, you're right. I'm very close to giving you a time out. You ready now? I'm ready. Hey, it's Ryan C. Just call 8000 957 3151 cash for your house now. 8000 957 3151. I have now come up with a new segment for the opening. Ronnie show. Yeah. It's called nostalgic toys that went bad. The stouted toys that went wrong.

Ooh. Cue it up. Wait, can I can I address something really fast? So Andy's back. He was the unless honorable guy. Anthony made you. Okay, listen, I was in radio for many years before I ran into Anthony, which was a huge mistake in my career. But besides that, when I met Anthony, he was married to a bitch. He hated his fucking life. He hated his marriage. He didn't even own a fucking car and he was in a dead end job. So who made who? Cue up AC DC back to you, Ronnie Bix. So what was his job before he did radio? I don't know. So how did you meet him then? I don't know. Did you meet him outside a home depot looking for a sidekick like like like a migrant worker? Well, he looks, he looks like he could be a migrant. So he, yeah, I think I met him in front of Home Depot. Said, yo, I'm thinking of putting together one of the greatest radio shows of all time. Who wants to be my co-host? And five hands went up. Put all five of the back of my pickup truck in four of them sucks.

So I, I put him back at Home Depot for the next guy and I decided to go with Anthony. And then I built the greatest radio show of all time in the these. Come on. Well, let me be. And let me live my goddamn life back to you, Ronnie. The funny scene would be funny if you said, yeah, I would five put up, if I put the hands up, I put five in the back when I finally get to the job site. Only Anthony was left in the back of the truck because he threw him out. See, that would have been fun here. But anyways, you know what's exciting? You know what's interesting about the old OP and Anthony where I'll give you a little something. I, I pretty much brought just about every single person to the show. Just about every single one of them. And the ones that had nothing going on in their lives, what's so ever until I, I came into their lives. The head of God later, the ones that were going nowhere before I met them are the ones that hate the most. You figured that out. Ron, the psychologist back to you, Ronnie Bakes. So who hates you the most?

And you said, I don't know. I don't know. Hold on a second. You brought it up. What? What a, what are some big fucking names that got their genesis on the OP and Anthony show, particularly the OP show. I mean, really don't know. Joe Rogan. Right? Yeah. Go after yourself. Joe Rogan. Theo Rogan. Theo Ron. Theo Ron. Um, yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. No, that's it. I have to ask. What about Chris the Stefano? I like the Chris. All right. I like the billber like the billber like the billber. Got big size. Uh, Jim Jeffries. Love the Jim Jeffries could be the best of all of them because he didn't forget. He didn't forget his time doing the radio show with me. Hey, Joe, how about that?

You can learn from Jim Jeffries. You big. Can I, can I tell you one comic that really fucking rubs me the wrong way and, um, do we've crossed paths? Yeah. And he's been like super friendly to me. And I, we know a lot of the same people. Yeah. Um, uh, Jesus Christ. Um, I'm tired. The brother, the brother. What's his name? The brother like brother brother or brother brother? No, like, like, he's African American. Oh, brother. All right. The fuck does name. He, he, he did a show with, um, um, he did a show with another comedian. Uh, people come on. Who's the black guy besides Patristo Nell? Did you show Sharad? Yes. Sharad. What's his full name? Sharad small. That's it. Yeah. That was how it to do it. I was having a fucking brain fought there. Do he really? I mean, I'm not going to go after him the way I went out to fucking, uh,

just run. I'm not going to, I'm not going to lie to you. You know, uh, I had a massive show that was, uh, really blossoming and then, uh, you know, then Carl decided to die and then Vicks like, well, if Carl's going to die, I'm going to die. So I lost two out of the, uh, three guys and then the, the, the guy that, uh, was still alive. Sharad small, uh, after that, he couldn't be bothered. He couldn't be bothered. I don't know. But he'll write me every once in a while in the middle of the night. Love your brother, miss your brother. Love your bro, family, bro. Buh, buh, buh, buh, buh, buh, buh, then I go, how about you do my live stream? And then, you know, and then nothing. So I, but I'm not going to trash the guy. I, I think good shit with him with Carl and Vicks. So what are you going to do? No, no, that's what that's my fucking point. That's where he really fucking rubbed me the wrong way. He was on your show when you were having serious fucking success. And he was a deep part of the show because, because the serious success of the show was translating to his success as a comic. He was getting more money because he was doing the show.

He was doing bigger. He was doing the show. He was getting the exposure to doing the show who wanted a three co-hosts, fucking die. And he bales that shows his true character. Fuck you, bro. Fuck you, bro. How about that? How about that? Sure. I mean, you know, you're really like that. Fucking is that's fucking that shows your true character. Like you're only a part of you're only a part of the team because it was benefiting you. Two of your partners die and you fucking bailed. Dude, what kind of man are you? Dude, it's the business I'm in. No, excuse. It's by the way, you just made an excuse. It's the business. Fuck that. It's not the business. Human is human. Listen, Joe Rogan did the same thing. Bert Christchurch did the same thing. Oh, Bert Christchurch. I did the same fucking thing. Now look, people could argue that Joe Rogan had a career before opian Anthony, but he didn't have a podcast in career when he started coming on our show. And we pushed him hard with our audience. I mean, hard. I have a good.

We need Joe Rogan for the success we had in the end. We pushed him hard hard. And then when I needed a goddamn favor, he was nowhere to be seen. So you know what, F you Joe. I'm, yeah, go eat your Elk steaks and sweat out more of your fucking feelings and I've sweat out. Yeah, go. And then run to the police when the liver came threatened you. Yeah, fucking pussy. By the way, Joe Rogan is sweating out of your of your system. Go do that more. Whatever deep feelings you're trying to sweat out of your stupid body that looks like you're from the turn of the century, lifting, lifting giant medicine balls. You got a weird body. Stop making believe it's like it's a, it's a good body. It's all this proportionate you idiot. All right. Let me ask you a question. Strong man from 1910. That's right. But body. And Berk Tricer who the fuck was putting you on the radio before open Anthony ghosts drew birth and they. Make up more stupid stories than Lingo you asked whole.

These idiots for real. These idiots. Hey, just to say made it to like, oh, wait, wait, uh, oh, wait. I think, oh, all right, open Anthony. I think they, I think they put me on when I know in a way. The, the, the, no one, no one, no one, you, you, you sound outside my fucking studio wondering if I was going to say yes or no to you to come on the show. No one that serious was putting you on. I put you on as a, I took a chance on you. You don't. Hey, now say this about fucking Theo Vaughan, Opie. He tried to tape, he just recently tried to tape a speciality big and theater and got fucking essentially boot off the stage. And said because of that experience, he wanted to maybe, you know, cut it short. Whatever. I don't care about that because footer who's been with me for a million years, he relates, I'm sure he's talking about Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan needs a handlebar. Let me ask you this because you can't tell from TV. Joe Rogan, Jesus.

Let me ask you this because you can't tell from TV. Is he short? Dude, I said this. He's uncomfortably short. He looks, he looks short, dude. And I think he puts shit in his shoes because when he walked in, when I met him for the first time, I, well, I met him for the first time at the comedy store and he actually was insanely cool to me back then because I had a massive show and he, uh, he defended us when we got fired for the sex or something. He famously stepped forward and defended us, which I, you know, I, I liked that part of him and we met and he was cool as hell for sure. And, but, you know, he was insanely disappointing when I needed finally a favor because I got my dick kicked in. I started a, a little podcast and I was like, well, I'll just use some of the big names that I put on my show back in the day and he couldn't be bothered. So go screw Joe. You're a bad person. By the way, you want to speak of a bad person? You also reached out to Berk, Chrysher. What was the line he gave you? It's got to be one of the most condescending lines I've ever heard in my life.

But what a fucking piece of shit line. It's one of the most condescending lines I've ever heard of my life. Opie reached out to Berk because Berk started on the OP show. Yeah. What is Berk's what was Berk's response? Look to be fair, I'm really trying to keep it as fair as possible. I don't, I don't know. Berk officially started on our show, but certainly it did not hurt those appearances on the show. Um, he said I'll always be a fan. When you said, Hey, Berk, you want to do the show? Berk Chrysher's spot was I'll always be a fan. What a dick. What a dick. Oh my God. We had fun with that one dumb clip from his stupid podcast where he thought he was killing. Here's the problem with Berk Chrysher and it's happening in real time. Hey, it's Ryan C. Crest for Albertsons, Vaughn's and Pavilion. It's time to stock up and save now through October 27th. Get $10 off when you spend $25 or more on participating items. Just look for participating item tags. Stirring on eligible items from brands like bubbler, ghost energy, lindore, halo top,

Any house, any condition, all cash right now, just call 8000 957 3151 cash for your house now 8000 957 3151. It happens. But I think people love this inside shit. So I'm going to give you some inside shit. You get to a point where the giant radio show, you get to a point where the giant podcast.

I think Howard Stern is going through this now too. That you have such a huge loyal audience that you feel like you can't do anything wrong. You feel like, you know what? I'm just going to like fucking tops of Gordon sits and lounges on a fucking couch now because he's like, we got these people. We don't even need to work anymore. Oh, are they making a big mistake? Big these people are in the end, they're not loyal to you and they're going to turn and go somewhere else. And I think that's starting to happen with the bird. I think he thinks his shit don't stink. I don't have to work so fucking hard anymore. All I have to do is take my goddamn shirt off and drink myself to death. And Thompson Gore, all he has to do is lounge on a couch. And that's all we have to do. Big mistake. Hold on. I'm going to to your point. And this is the truth because the fact is just to finish up my little rent. You know, I'll be the first to say that at the end of the open Anthony run, we weren't. We weren't as good as we used to be. We weren't as good as we used to be.

But the, you know, our fan base was eating it up, but, but the audience was slowly, but surely eroding in front of our eyes. And that's what happens eventually they're like, what the fuck is going on with this? And they move on out of the shit. Go ahead, right? So to your point about dial it in, just come to dial it in that expression. I had a friend who went and saw a bird crisis for the second time. Right. The first time was 10 years ago. Right. I said, dude, how was it? Right. By the way, he does, to his credit, dude, he does like stadiums. No, he says sure. I get it. Now listen to me. Sure. Yes. I'm like, dude, so how was it? And he's like, and he literally don't, he just went, I'm like, what was it good? He goes, dude, it was the same. He goes, he goes like half a set was the same material for 10 years ago. I'm like, really? He's like, yeah. He was like, literally, it was the same shit. It was like, he goes, honestly, it was like a bore. I'm like, really? And by the way, that was, I was like, oh, he's just fucking dialing it in.

He's just, by the way, you should not be doing. If you're on tour, you should always be new material. Otherwise, give the money back to your cheating people. Look, I'm amazed that this guy's bit is to do comedy went out of shirt on. And that has lasted this long, completely amazed by it. I'm fucking amazed by it. And it's a whole thing. Oh, should I go on stage without the shirt on or should I dramatically take it off five minutes into my set? I mean, that's amazing. You know what? Less. I don't know if he's drinking right now because of he had some serious health issues related to drinking, but I'm telling you without the drinking, he's, he's even less funnier. He's not, he honestly, he's not that, you know, when you're drinking, he's, ah, no, no, you know, he's not that guy anymore. He just, he's kind of like a little somber. All right. Drinking again. By the way, I think he's, I think he's, if you're off the wagon, is that mean you're drinking again? Yeah. Okay. He's advertising. He's drinking again. It's a birch.

Birch off the wagon tour. Ah, God. That's what he said. Whatever. That's his life. And I want to, and I want to do a counterpoint to all the people who fucking bailed on you. Well, you know, there's still, I want to say Jim Jeffery's never forgot you. Jim Ford, you never forgot you. Nope. Bill Burk kind of, oh, dang clock. I was hard of, then he's supposedly going to come on the state of money. I suppose we had a little back and forth. We'll see. I got to reach out to him again because it's like, I said, hey, would you come on this thing? And he goes absolutely. And then it gets awkward because then now I got chased him and go, well, how about, busy? I get it. I know. I, but he was very, very nice. We had a little text exchange. I, I feel like I should have treated him better back in the day to be honest. I mean, I'm not perfect either. And I should have treated him better because I mean, well, I mean, I love. I want him on, I want him on. And maybe people around me didn't, you know, see it the same way, I guess. And maybe I was influenced by that a little bit.

I don't know. I'm just saying, um, but no, Bill Burden, forget me. I just feel weird. Texan at this point every time I text him, he definitely writes me right back. Is that? No, but I truly believe that he's going to come. Can we all point and laugh at this idiot? This is embarrassing. Isn't it embarrassing? Don't get a therapy dog you weirdo or a therapy ostrich. I got to go around. These kids need my attention. Hey, what you do for us? What you do for the Jewish New Year, anything special? Did you do the countdown? One year, we have to 5787. That's stupid. Oh, is it? Yeah, we've more than doubled fucking civilization. That's stupid. That 57 57 87 years ago, the aliens were here, not that. That's you. And by the way, so we just are. So in the Christian calendar, it's going to turn 2027. Oh, you're like, you're like newly wedged, you're babies. The next show does calendar, by the way, is the Chinese calendar.

It's like 4,000. And what about the hits 6,000? All right. All right. I don't care about any of that because it's a very important day. I actually was talking to Ron Bennington. We talked for a while on text. Really? Oh, yeah. Yeah. A while. When? Last weekend. Oh, okay. And I want to, I want to promote. Are you going on a show? I don't know. I mean, yeah, he, he officially invited me. I don't know. I do got to do it. I know. I know. He did officially invite me, which they will be doing before it's too late. Sir, which was very, very nice to him. But it will be for it's too late and it's good. Okay. No, that's why I don't know if I want whatever we had a very good conversation. That's all that matters. But I can't find. Anyway, I was going to show the actual logo. His podcast starts today. This is a must listen for more reasons than I could fuck it express here today. He's fighting stage four colon cancer. And while he's getting treatment, experimental treatment, by the way, and chemo and all this other shit, he's inviting all his comedic friends in.

And it's emotional. It's, it's, it's, it's unbelievable. The clips he's been putting out online have been nothing short of unbelievable. I actually wrote him. I said, right, I don't know. I can't think of another person alive that could do what you're doing right now. I can't even, I can't even think of one. So the podcast officially drops today like full late episodes. We've been only watching the clips on Instagram and on this, we put a few clips on here. It's called the podcast with Ron Bennington because I think, I think there's a couple of. P-O-R-T. Okay, pour it. Okay. Yeah, yeah. Let me, let me see if I can find the logo real fast. Man, I'm going to say one more time. Go on the fucking show, dude. And don't, and don't hesitate. Don't what's, uh, what's the word I'm looking for? I don't know. Genius. Are you talking about me? Genius. Don't procrastinate. Is the word I'm looking for? Lovable. Uh, wait, how do I find the poor casting?

I had it. All right, hold on, Ron. Right. I want to do this properly for the guy. Go on it. Go, O.P. Here it is. Of course I got the slow. What is wrong with my head? Wow, I'm seriously doing it. I live in the clouds. You would think the internet would be good up here. Why is my thing spinning? Well, maybe if I turn off, I don't know. Maybe if I turn off the wife, I'm not. This is how we end today. Really? I don't give a shit. Do I care? No, I don't care. Intergalactic planet, Terry. I guess they don't want me to promote the podcast. What the, it's spinning run. It's spinning. Oh, let me try. Go on it. Go on the show before it's too late. I'm being serious. I'm not one of those before it's too late, guys. No, I, by the way, I know what you're doing. You're not going to, by the way, I know right now you're not going to do it. I'm not going to do anything. I'm not going to do it. I'm going to let there, especially after what you told me, what you went through with your father.

There's no fucking way you're doing it. What's what what happened with my father? It's all your father go right in front of you and it's traumatized. Yeah, you're not and I'm telling you right now, there's no fucking way you're going to go into another room with a man who's who's close to death. No, I don't know if he's close to death. No one knows anything about that. I know what I'm saying. Ronnie's playing his cards very close to his chest. You know, he's whatever, my point. I'm not one of these before you regret it, type of guys. If you had a good relationship with someone and they drop it, you had a good relationship. I'm so sick of that when you go to a wakeer. If you're I'm, oh, there's your roommate. Your roommate just walked by. No, he's still sleeping. No, he just walked by unless you have a, unless you are, unless you have a different angle, unless you're doing a Lindsey Graham or something, that looked like it possibly was your roommate. Why can't I fucking get this on my. Oh my god. We get an assistant Jesus. It's just spinning. Wait, oh, wait, the Wi-Fi never turned off. Maybe that's why. All right, let's, all right, here it is.

There. That's all I want to tell people. Look for that wherever you find podcasts, the great Ron Bennington doing something that literally no one else alive could possibly do. It is a must listen for many, many. Who's the, I sent you a few clips. Not Dave Chappelle. Who's the other guy gave the white guy? The comic he's so funny. I gotta go.
