Nestlé's KitKat Heist: 12 Tons of Chocolate Stolen

0:00It's March 28, I'm Cori with the story. This is Dallas News Today, driven by AI. Nestle just got hit with a massive candy heist, 12 tons of KitKat bars, that's about 413,793. Chunks of chocolate waffle goodness, vanished while heading from their factory in Italy to Poland. The truck and its low disappeared last week, on route through Europe, bound for distribution across the continent. Nestle figures the bars might pop up in shady markets, but every single one has a unique batch code for tracking. Company reps say folks at home or in stores can scan those codes to spot the stolen stash and report it straight back. No word on the vehicle yet. It's still missing. Cargo theft like this is spiking across Europe, with thieves getting smarter every day. Nestle went public to shine a light on the trend, hitting businesses big and small. Keep an eye on those KitKats next time you grab one. They might just crack the case wide open.
