Nelly at Trump's Spot: Navigating DC's Political Nights

0:00It's April 28th, I'm Cory with the story, and this is Entertainment and Celebrity News today, your AI-powered entertainment report. Nellie's lining up a gig at the executive branch, a spot in Washington DC owned by Donald Trump Jr. He's hitting the stage this Friday, April 24th, but it's members only, so don't crash the party. This isn't his first brush with the Trump circle. Back in January 2025, he performed at the inauguration and called it an honor, stressing respect for the office no matter who's in it. That move sparked backlash, with folks assuming he was all in for Trump. Nellie pushed back hard, saying it was never about politics, just doing his job like soldiers serve any commander in chief, fast forward, and the weekends stacked. Saturday, April 25th, brings the White House correspondence dinner, where Nicki Minaj is expected to show up. Word is, these bookings keep the conversation alive on artists navigating big league invites, showing lines between performance and endorsements stay.
