Any one of these all by themselves would occupy a lot of oxygen. We have an election tomorrow. Attorney General Ken Paxton is going to join us in just a moment for his final visit before tomorrow's primary. We had an attack in Austin that may have its roots in some reaction to operation in Iran that were in the middle of it. There's just all kinds of things that are going on.

My questions for you, and you know the number 8666505759, do you approve? I see word that like there's heavy polling that most of America hates this. Even a lot of Republicans don't like this. There's a seeming conflict to some between, you know, he said he was going to be the the president of peace. And yet here he is starting wars. He's not starting a war. He's trying to end one. And there just saw a lot of the objections have struck me as TDS on steroids. So your reaction to some of the reactions, just all of your thoughts as we head into a week that is going to be filled, filled with news,

4:09developments constantly. We had we had like three planes shot out of the sky over Kuwait by the Kuwaitis. No loss of life there. But the death toll for American troops has gone to four. One of our armed forces who had been hospitalized after the retaliatory strikes by Iran has died. The American death toll now stands at four. I can't tell you the low opinion I have of those who would weaponize and politicize these deaths in order to somebody even asked when it was when the death toll was three, is it worth it? Is it worth it? It's was Vietnam worth 58,000. I guess there's general thoughts that's no, but what does that mean that those lives were lost in vain? What an obnoxious question usually asked by people who who who hate the president. And last thing on this before we talk to Attorney General Paxton, a lot of the objection to this is not real. It's just not real. They hate it because Trump did it. If Biden had done it,

5:09there'd be dancing in the streets. If anybody but Trump had done it, there would be vast approval, which is what makes the real value of people like John Federman, whom you'll hear today talking about, I don't know why Democrats can't support the notion of a regime. Then oh, by the way, even if they call themselves progressives, a regime that hates gays, denies equal rights to women is a theocracy. If you're progressive and you can't see the value in knocking out a regime like this, are you really a progressive? But ultimately, what really guides these folks is Trump, hatred, Trump hatred makes smart people stupid. And boy, was that evident throughout the landscape over the weekend. Okay, tomorrow is election day. We are going to learn so many things from this primary at the top of the ticket. The U.S. Senate race, the Democrats are going to figure out, listen, there's a Talleriko surge. Maybe we'll see what that means. 6:13and it is Ken Paxton. Pardon the long intro, sir, busy weekend. How are you doing as they move on primary eve? On this Texas independence day, I'm doing pretty well. Let's add another layer. Precisely right. Precisely right. The birthday of the occasion of Texas, declaring its independence from Mexico, the history that unfolded leads us to today. And who our U.S. Senator is going to be. So, home stretch, how do you see, what do you think's going to happen tomorrow? It's going to be a good day. I think it's really looking forward to it. I work since April the 8th to educate and communicate with Texas. And I think it's going to be a good day. I think the question that I've asked in every single meeting, one person, 3,000 people, and John's been in office since I was in college, and I'm 63, and those 40 plus years, can you name one great accomplishment? And to this day, no one's ever given me an answer to that question, and I say, now take two weeks of my time as AG, except for Christmas and Thanksgiving,

7:14and I guarantee you can pick any two weeks, and I've accomplished more in two weeks that he's done 40 plus years. That is probably why you've got a lead in virtually every poll, especially the recent polls, is with Wesley in this race, for some reason, and God bless him, but I'll never understand that is an optimism reign supreme. Is there any way to get 50.001% or is this definitely a runoff that awaits us? So, as you know, this is like me playing basketball, against seven people, they all get to score against me, and they all get to play defense. So, it's challenging, but it's not impossible. I mean, I've looked at the numbers, and it's just, you know, a election day will determine it. I don't, I've looked at the early voting numbers, and it looks pretty good for me. It's just a matter of which way will it fall? There's an odd line, I've talked to Senator Korn, and often talked to you, often last time he and I spoke, and he did this on 60 minutes yesterday, there's this narrative that only he, as the nominee, can bring Republican success.

8:18That if you are the nominee, that certain death lies ahead for Republican party, that either Tallerik or Crockett will beat you, and even down ballot, some of the congressional seats will wiggle. I trust you have another view. Well, of course, this is a typical Korn and Talking point. If you look at his whole, all of the second points, they're not true. I mean, he talks about being for the boring. He's been against the boring. He talks about being for Trump. He was against Trump, and this idea that somehow I can't win a state-righted race, Mark, how many statewide races have I won? Three. Three. I've won more statewide races than most people have, have run in, in Texas history. And suddenly, because it's John Kornin, he's the only one, even though he can't win a primary, even though he isn't accomplishing. Somehow, he's going to motivate voters to get out and vote for him. The numbers don't show it. I've done the polling. If I really believe that, would I be in this race? No. I know I can be to Democrat. We haven't lost the Democratic seat since 94. What evidence does John give to back that up? And that, you know, he has polls showing him like being, which is ridiculous,

9:19this idea that I can't win a statewide race. It's, obviously, it's not true. I've done it three times. I asked him something, and I need to ask you the flip side of the coin. This has been a pretty bitter primary. It's been months and months and months of you referring to him as an unworthy warrior, a rhino, an untrustworthy soul. No, no, no, no. I've never called him a rhino, not one time. We wrote, really? I just said he hasn't accomplished anything. He's been there too long. God, interesting. Listen, I got 500 people I could put on the phone now who would attach the rhino label. Why would you spare him that? I just, you know, I'm trying to win with Republicans, and so I'm not trying to disparage him. He's spent $100 million attacking me, which is more than I think the most expensive race in, you know, Texas or actually US history for a primary, I've spent $3 million. And if you'll look at the ads, my ads are positive, and his have been very negative and personal. They're not even talking really about what he's actually accomplished because, again, there isn't anything. Well, we're going to get to what he's saying about you,

10:22but some of the things you've said about him, just to reframe my sentence and thank you for the editing on that. You've characterized him as an unworthy, mega warrior than his support for Trump. I think you believe that it's paper, then an opportunistic to the moment. And the once Trump's not president anymore, you know, who knows what he'll do. And that's something that people don't have to worry about with regard to you. Have I got that paragraph right? Yeah, well, yeah, it can think about this in 2016. I mean, he has no evidence that he's ever supported Trump. 2016, he told us that Trump was an albatross around our neck. What is he saying about me? And I'm an albatross around our next same thing. Then in 2024, what do you say Trump can't win in his time his past? Well, guess what? John Corden was not supporting Trump either time suddenly. April 8th conversion happens. I get in the race and he loves Donald Trump. He loves the border wall. Everything that he hated, he loves. And so why would I believe that that's going to last? I don't believe it's going to last because it's not going to you. He's have, you know, 40-year history of it, not lasting. So this is all just a game for him. He wants to win.

11:23He'll say whatever it takes, but none of that's true. None of it's true. So the kindest thing is that you find the feel that he's somewhat less than sincere. His view of you is pretty clear that you're one of the worst people ever to walk the earth. So after this harsh, after this harsh primary, here's what I asked him last week, I said in view of everything you've said, if you lose, you know that Republican Texas will demand that you have certain enthusiasm in making sure that Talleriko or Crockett don't win. Could you find a way to support Ken Paxton for the Senate? He said, I will vote for the Republican nominee and said no more. And I'm not pretending there'll be unity tour through various media markets as summer turns to fall. But if it doesn't work out the way you want it to, can you find a way to support him against Talleriko or Crockett? Of course, but let there be no if. I'm going to win this right. So I already know that. So there's not going to be an if I'm going to win and I'll win Tuesday. And if it takes a runoff, we know that runoffs are going to be good for me as well. My worst runoff, I've done three of them.

12:24I got 65 percent. My last one against George P Bush. I got 68. So yes, I am going to support the Republican no matter what. Very good. The two Democrats that we have coming out are awful for Texas. I can't imagine Texas goes that dark. Is there is there one? It's funny. It's been weird. I mean, there's the firehose that's Jasmine Crockett and the and the and and woke Opie, the James Talleriko. Is there one you'd rather run against than the other or, you know, there's both so liberal. I think you could highlight that's that's what I meant. They're just both so left so just crazy left. And Talleriko tries to hide it like behind being a pastor, but the reality is I don't see much difference between him and Jasmine as far as positions and views and they're both going to be disasters for Texas. So if we if it looks like the way this is the field is striped, it looks like we have the looks like runoff per chance. The rest of March, all of April and virtually all of May of more corn and ads against you and more of your ads

13:27against him. Do you think your approach will change or will it be sort of more of the insincereity? What has he done that or is there new material that you'll debut for the runoff? No, I mean, I think it's all about record and not rhetoric and he's all about the rhetoric, but he doesn't have a record that he can stand. Yeah, and otherwise, you know, when I was in combat, what did I do? I ran my record. I could talk about what I did and then I talked about what I wanted to do. And I had proof that I had accomplished something for the state of Texas and for the people of Texas. And that's what got me reluctant. I didn't spend a lot of time attacking my poets. Either any of my lectures, when I was in combat, I focused on what I had accomplished. John Corning cannot do that. And he really can't attack me on my record. So he goes personal. That's really his his MO because he's got nothing. And he has and he has essentially said that that he is just getting started and that this runoff will contain even more material like that. And I've been wondering because obviously I talk to him, talk to you. And then I talk about all of it.

14:27And I found myself saying how much more can this be? And is it will it backfire? And will you can you respond in any way? And then a couple of days ago, there's your daughter and her husband sitting on the couch, your Maddie talking about, here's the Ken Paxton. I know how did that come about? And what was the decision making like to deploy that on the campaign trail? So my son-in-law sent me a text saying Madison had written an op-ed. And so I didn't even know about it. I read it. It was very emotional for me to read. I didn't ask her to write the op-ed. Didn't know she was going to do it. And then my team, she sent it to the team because she wanted to get out. And then they asked her if she'd do a short you know short video sort of so we could get more of it out. So yeah, it was very um that that means more to me than the election. It's just it's awesome to have you know great kids and I've got four great kids and six grandchildren. That's why you know I try to keep all of that out of the limelight and just focus on you know being a

15:27father and a grandfather. I've also tried to assess over the months what effect those kinds of attacks, what effect all those stories have had. It's not like it's killed yet. It hasn't torpedoed you you've led in most polls. So I don't know if there's a likelihood that that changes that if another barrage of that I think there's the possibility that that it could backfire where people could say man enough of this enough. And so I I don't know if you're counting on that to backfire because you know it's coming. Look I I don't get the strategy to be honest with you I if I'm the Republican leadership I want to I don't want to tear down any Republican who's got a good chance of winning like I do. I would be thinking about the future but you know if it's about incumbents and not Republicans that I get the strategy but I always thought it was about winning the state of Texas making sure that it was held by a Republican but if you if you're running that strategy you're not thinking about that you're thinking about protecting and come and see and and you don't care how how how how bad it gets but look I've been through this for for a decade

16:27and you know I get I just I just go off of my record I try to tell the people of Texas here's what I care about here's what I've done do you believe it I have I've evidence he's got no evidence he's just talk and people are sick of that there's sick of people that go to Washington that answered a Mitch McConnell that answered to the establishment to the lobbyist his daughters a lobbyist I mean he's all in on that world I'm not I'm not in the world of Texas. The logistics where will you be to watch where will you be watching the returns tomorrow night. So today I go from Dallas to Waco I do rally in Waco then I drive to Houston I'll be Houston rodeo riding in with those guys and then I'll fly back tomorrow morning and I will be here in being Dallas and I'll be at the uptown area celebrating a win. And presuming the runoff did you take a listen it's it's months do you take a little bit of a breather for for a week or two or or did you just dive right morning of March 4th here we go little you know there'll be a little bit of a rust because it's

25:51when people rise up and say well you can knock out one regime but you got to make sure that something worse or as bad done Russian they're not wrong to say that I am confident that the Trump team Marco Rubio that they absolutely are on this that there will be and they're being badgered well what's the next step what's exactly going to happen what's it going to look like five weeks from now what's going to look like by lunchtime tomorrow guys let the game come to you but I give me a word or two on what you think Iran what this process looks like after the four or five weeks of military operation the president describes then what well two things first of all I appreciated Joey Jones over on Fox News who pointed out over the weekend and he made some news because it was almost like the Trump hating media said aha aha look at some of the pushback here's what Joey Jones said it's okay to ask questions and it's okay when American servicemen have spilled their blood we've lost already now several American servicemen during operation epic fury so it's reasonable and expected for the American people to be able to say what comes

26:57next that what comes next doesn't mean that doesn't mean we're we're going full fledged you know anti-Trump we're just we but we have a right to ask questions we have a right to expect answers from this administration and incidentally considering this is the most transparent administration in the history of America I'm not worried I love this this whole thing over the weekend Brian Stelter over CNN oh it's very notable that Trump didn't address the nation after this happened yes he did he didn't eight minutes on truth social that's his platform just because he doesn't want to stand in front of a podium with a bunch of microphones and blue curtain he spent and I I played the entire in play that in its entirety so you know stop with it they did that about January 6th they said what I didn't say anything about yes he did he stood there and did a video again on truth social and said go home don't hurt the police I need you to leave but they lie they lie they lie they lie so the the second part though of your very important and profound question

28:01look as Trump put it himself what next comes to them it's up to the the Iranian people I mean I don't we don't know what this looks like we don't what we do know is that the head of the snake has been cut off yep we do know that this Iatola and what was it 43 G.C. Ahmadinejad was taken out to the former president of the the old school president back in the day Mahmoud Ahmadinejad no longer available for comment so so the the Iranian people have a rare and I think probably fragile window of opportunity to take their country back you know prior to 1979 I was really impressed by seeing the videos and the pictures of what Tehran looked like and what Tehran looked like prior it was incredible it was like and you know women not forced to wear the hijab imagine that you how about that people not getting thrown off buildings because of their sexual orient I mean we're unusual to place if it can get back to that point that's going to be on the American or the Iranian people it would be good to get back to that point and this

29:04is where it is real interesting because this guy's getting interviewed I mean he's like a co-host on Fox now have you seen Reza Palavi in the last couple of days he is the guy poised he like to think of himself as poised to come in and lead this next new chapter and it looks like there are a lot of positives about him I hope the apple has fallen a little bit from the tree because his dad Reza Palavi was the famous infamous Shah of Iran who is very pro-America pro-Western pro-oil anti-communist so awesome awesome awesome awesome not so awesome the secret police the political prisoners and the people killed for opposing him so hopefully that's kind of kick it at old school and the sun will not be reinstating those practices I I'm willing to trust until there's a reason not to trust I'm sure the Trump and Rubio vetting of this guy it's not like we get to determine it but I think America gets a say into what we think of about the choice that Iran's going to make if it's a free and fair election we'll see how it goes but this guy is clearly sort of opportunistically positioning himself is like hey I'm here if you want me he's

30:08been an exile in Spain I believe for a long time well and did you see what show he popped up on last night you got to give credit to 60 minutes there he was on CBS's 60 minutes congratulating and honoring President Trump and praising Operation Epic Fury I mean this was 60 minutes now you know there's a huge drama with in media circles because Barry Weiss is now heading up CBS news which includes 60 minutes there's a whole alleged revolt going on there but it was actually pretty refreshing to see this and we're we are seeing it we're seeing it in the on the airwaves at CNN and CBS and even even in the pages of the Washington Post and the New York Times their ridiculous description of the siatola aside they are acknowledging the significance of this they are they are being forced to come to terms with this what what what a change this is on the world stage the and the joy after and the joy of the Iranian people they have you've had how many
