Missouri Basketball: New Season, New Chances

0:00On March 10, Missouri's men's basketball team heads into the SEC tournament on a two-game skid, but it's only the third time this season they've dropped back to back contests. The Tigers have never lost three in a row all year, showing real grit despite the regular season finish. Coach Dennis Gates is pushing his squad to treat the tournament like a fresh start, with no tomorrow on the line. He's got a strong track record in conference turnings, including titles at Cleveland State, and deep runs at other stops as an assistant and head. Coach, players like sophomore guard Tio Barrett are buying in, calling you to new season where past mistakes reset. He knows the team is more battle-tested now, especially after he's slid into the starting lineup, making them tougher and more connected. Their second round match up Thursday, at 11.30am, on SEC Network, pits them against the winner of Wednesday's LSU vs Kentucky game. Both foes play physical ball, but Missouri feels evolved since those earlier meetings.

1:00Gates hopes this mindset flips the script for a deep run, turning tournament pressure into prime chances to shine and carry momentum into March. Madness
