You look like a dude who should be pumping my fucking gas. This isn't doing it for me. I'm not getting enjoyment out of this. He was able for the Bell Rings All Star. All right, everybody. It's Thursday night, October 8, 2026. We are officially on the road to Halloween season. You're listening to the Mindless Wrestling Podcast. Part of the Chair Shot Radio Network is always to be found on the Chair Shot.com and all your favorite podcasting platforms. I am one of the hosts, the guy with the award winning, Holy and Beautiful Beard DJ.
I'm going to go around the room and introduce this cast to characters like I do each and every week, starting with the host of the Rob the Genius podcast. He is the minister truth. The father of facts and figures, the decadent of data. He's the official shoot bear of the Mindless Wrestling Podcast. He is the king of the power nap, Ray Cash's daddy and the man with the golden shovel. Rob, sir, how are you, buddy? Good to be here. Glad to have you as always, sir. We got a lot to talk about tonight. But before we do last but never, ever, ever least, the resident high flyer of the Mindless Wrestling Podcast. He hails from the Purple Hayes in Cloud 9. He's Bucky's tag team partner, the man with the bionic back destined to one day go through a barbershop window. Jason, sir, how are you? I am wonderful, my friends. It's great to be here once again. Man, glad to be here with both of you. Talk some wrestling. Also, what will everybody know? 30 Mindless Minutes is now officially back. I knew I took a couple of weeks off. Just had some personal stuff.
Got an episode coming out with Rob. Gonna have an episode coming out with Jason. Got a lot of really good stuff coming up. But tonight we're talking wrestling. WWE Money in the Bank is this weekend. We're going to kick around the card a little bit, give our predictions. And then we've got some discussions we're going to have on the back end of that. As customary on this show, Jason usually handles the duties of presenting us with the card. Jason, I'm going to turn the show over to you. Alrighty, so we're going to do this emanating from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. One of the greatest cities in this fine country of ours. And I do mean just it's fine, guys. It's not. Anyway, so we're moving on to we're going to go in no particular order, at least not in the order that this card is presenting to me. Let's start with all the family and Bronson Reed in a good old fashioned grudge match. Because I am very little to say to locomotives are about to run into each other.
And I mean, using wrestling logic, Bronson Reed was one of the last people to pin Roman reigns. Therefore, Oba Femi will beat him and will beat him convincingly. So that's just how this logically works. So DJ, what do you got? Man, for starters, the hype for this has been incredible. I was watching Raw on Monday night and when and that obviously they set it up perfectly. You know, Oba's coming out to make the save when the vision is out doing the thing. When his music hit when he hit the ring, that is the shit that gets me excited about pro wrestling. Just a big ass kickin' dude coming out and kickin' ass. It was awesome. I loved it. I'm looking forward to this match. I don't think anything gets resolved here. I think they have big plans for Bronson Reed. And I don't think that he's going to come back after what, seven months off with a tricep injury or bicep injury,
whichever it was. I don't think the bringing him back and he loses his first match. But I also don't think with the trajectory that Oba's on that Oba loses. I think this is your non-finish in some kind of way of the weekend. Yeah, I mean, it's not a saying he's sort of special stipulation. So the vision gets there, well, not the vision. But yeah, the vision. They get involved in. There you go. Yeah, it's just a match. Now, all right, Rob. Yeah, I think the same thing. There's no reason to have a thing finish here. I mean, because they're going to keep going. You know, so yeah, I just hoped it. Look, Oba and Brons at Ceyronites, Miami, and it was much better than I think people thought it was going to be. But well, not people thought it was going to be bad, but it exceeded expectations. It did. It was really, really good. And one thing that I liked about that match is was very obvious that Brons was kind of the,
it was kind of the wrench I don't know on that one. You know, traditionally in a lot of matches, the heels call the spots. And I know, you know, in WWE with the production being what it is, the referees get involved and help out with that as well. But you could definitely see to me, there was a maturity in Brons breaker on display in that match. Well, because that was a match where he had to either level up or go home. Right, right. I mean, because he levels up. Yeah. And Bronson read as a seasoned veteran at this. So we may be in for a hell of a while here. Yeah. And people were out, you know, what they're going to do with the over two now in WrestleMania. Like this is what you do. You have have guys who are credible opponents. And you haven't feeling with them. And we have a good feud here. Like this does not feel like a time waste or at all this good stuff. And so going. Yeah. Yeah, I'm never going to argue with Kai, Kai, do battle. I'm just never never put it on my screen.
Yep, put it on my screen. Let's go. So we're going to move on to let's do one of the money in the bank ladder matches. Because, you know, who knows where it lands on the card and who knows what that means for potential championship matches throughout the night. So let's start with the women's money in the bank ladder match. We have Sol Ruka, Lollivize, JC Jane, Roxam Perez, Lash legend and Tiffany Stratton. So in other words, exactly what the money in the bank briefcase is supposed to be. I understand, you know, all these girls are a different, you know, 10 year and places on the card. But this is a remarkably young class money in the bank ladder match. And I think that's great. So anyway, Rob, who do you think is going to walk away as your new Miss money in the bank? Well, I'm in the chatter for many weeks has been Roxanne.
So I mean, it's not Roxanne. I hope so because I don't. Well, I was hoping it came as the right was going to get the last spot because. Yeah, me too. If there's somebody, I mean, she could have a fun cash in, by the way. Oh, or just, I mean, she has all the potential. Later matches. Like she's like one of the first people you should put in there. Also that, yeah. You know, one day, the free. You actually does that matches. Yeah, you know, but. But I'm rooting for Roxanne to win because. Hope, then, you know, hopefully that'll give us some. Give us one step closer to the end. All this judgment. Take the bills. All right. Yeah, I got the most. Is any man. Yeah, you know, look, Saul is going to do something crazy. And it's going to look great. Who else is in there? Tiffany. Lash and Tiffany.
Tiffany would jump up to that and they probably won't catch her because they never do. Oh, God, that poor girl. You know, you know, Lash is there to catch people and to throw people around. And. If Jason wasn't already US champion, I would, I would give her a shot at winning. I doubt. I'm not going to give the US title. Hey, the bridge. You know, so yeah, I'm going to stick with Roxanne. All right. Yeah, if if JC wasn't US champ, this would be her solution, my opinion. DJ, what do you guys? I agree with Rob for all the same reasons. I think this is rock fans match to win and we need to we need to wrap shit up with the judgment day here because I'm. I like all the parts. I'm over some of the parts. I'm over it like I'm ready to see JD do his own personal thing.
I'm ready to see if they want to cross paths once in a while and say, Hey, remember when we were buddies and then keep it moving fine. I'm tired as we've got too many factions and triple H loves factions that I'm over it. You know, it's so we got to move on from this and I think this is your starting point rocks. It's Roxanne's match to win. I expect JC and all the women to show out though. I like I really expect these women to because this is for some of us make a break. And I think this I think they're all going to show out. So I don't hate factions. I love factions. I think factions are a very wrestling thing. It makes my video game brain very happy. That all that being said, the judgment day has completely run like not completely, but as we are on empty guys, the thing the light is on. They've been a thing since early in the Biden administration. The events will still in charge. Like come on, man.
I said, I put the cop guys coped put them together. Yeah, none of the guy who put you together doesn't work here anymore. It's been a champion in another company. Yeah, like none of the original members in the group. Yeah, usually, I mean, yeah, I mean, like when they decided to make another four horsemen, they called them evolution. They didn't call them the four horsemen. Right. So, you know, so this group has been together for four years. And what I'm saying is that if none of the original members are there, then you shouldn't still be using it. You should be something else. I don't know. This is just right. It's time to move it on. Like this segment. Yes. Excellent. So let's move on to the men's money in the bank briefcase match. So we got the latter match, obviously, Brun Breaker, Javon Evans, Trick Williams, Peta,
CM Punk, and Kevin Owens all vying for the money in the bank briefcase. I am going to go with the easy answer of Kevin Owens wins this briefcase. And we all know what happens next. Right. Um, it makes sense because they did a special interview with Kevin Owens, you know, for the YouTube channel. I mean, a lot of people were peaking Penta a few weeks ago, but why? I'm not thinking about it. I mean, he would cash it in the honorable way and then lose it again. I mean, yeah. Because he goes in that far to like with Roman Reigns, bringing Roman Reigns to the brink and then finally winning via money in the bank cash in. That's not happening. I mean, yeah, that's terrible. Well, we're just not winning either. He might win one of those bills next year. He's not. Yeah. And if he does win one of those belts, it's not going to be with it's not going to be with the briefcase.
Okay. I don't know. Because that because at that moment, it's genuinely like when it happens, it's going to be crazy. Yeah. Maybe as we've said before, baby, face it should not win the briefcase. No. They should move case and they should not get the advantage into war games. Okay. I think you do need to do it once in a while to spice things up. But yes, for the most part, it's got to be heels winning that thing. Yeah. But anyway, I'm soon to have winning. Yeah. Sorry. I'm going to make the same pick that maybe learners. I'm going to run because he is in the match. All right. He would feel this guy who doesn't have briefcase, but he's in the gang full of goons. I mean, all right. He's a group of goons and like he doesn't need the goons need the briefcase, not him. Wait, but he's an asshole. So yeah, true. Because so he used to use you know, why do you use briefcase because because fuck you, that's why. All right. You know, he convinced me.
Sorry. I mean, yeah, I mean, it's like, yeah, so I'm going to stick with him. All right. DJ, who do you got up until 30 seconds ago? I would have said Kevin Owens, but I as Rob was talking and you know, playing some things out in my head and trying to understand what I'm watching. I think Triple H is going for a moment at WrestleMania in solidy next year. And I think that moment is Kevin Owens and Sammy Zayn standing there as respective Raw and Smackdown champions hugging it out in the ring. All of what Rey Mysterio, what Eddie Guerrero and he who shall not be named did at WrestleMania quite a number of years ago. I think he wants that to be his moment. I think it would be incredible to see. So I don't think Kevin Owens wins at this time because if he does, he's going to have an unsuccessful cash in. I'm going with Brownbreaker on this one. Sorry, Bucky is deciding to make himself known.
So we are going to move on. I did, sorry, my dog just went ballistic. I'm never going to hold it here. All right, buddy. All right. Sorry. The both of you get your thoughts on that match. We did. Okay, excellent. We will move on. So I think we have next up, let's go ahead with Stephanie Becker, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a triple threat match for the women's world championship. I think the easy answer here is, you know, live and hook or bite of crook Liv and Becky bounce their heads off each other and Stephanie wins somehow. Maybe not that exact scenario, but you'll get the picture I'm painting. Rob, what do you think? I think so. And look, I think if Roxanne does win the briefcase, you know, as much as we have, you know,
ripped them for doing the same night cash in the women's briefcase so many times, I do think if Roxanne wins the briefcase, I think it will happen again. All right. Well, I hope it doesn't. Well, I'm not about to get something Stephanie is retained. Stephanie will retain the title for sure. Okay. Well, still, we don't need any same night cash ins because also, even if she wins, I want to see her as Miss Money in the Bank for a few weeks, like kind of few of those for almost. So that's just selfish, but DJ, who do you got here? So I'm like right online with Rob, however, I do agree with you. I think her kind of flaunting the money in the Brent bank briefcase to a Liv Morgan who did not get the job done at money in the bank would be incredible television. And I think it would definitely kind of start to end that faction, but I could also see a scenario where they just say screw it and regardless of who wins, they do the same
day cash in. And then she can flaunt that championship at a Liv Morgan who did not get the job done at money in the bank. I like it. I like it a lot. All right. So that brings us all to the main event of the evening, the main event of our hearts, probably the main event of the show unless, you know, maybe it's one of the flatter matches. But we have Roman Reigns, the travel chief defending his World Heavyweight Championship against L.A. Knight. Yeah. So. Gentlemen, the internet says it's time. Everyone is telling me that LA Knight is the guy. The no Rob, you don't understand LA Knight is the guy. He kind of sort of does some of the rock stuff. Rob, come on. Do you believe in LA Knight, Rob?
Okay. I like LA Knight. He is right now. He was currently the wrestler from Maryland who we can be most proud of. Okay. That's right. So, you know, it's just he, you know, he came along at the wrong time. If this was the ruthless aggression era, he would have won the title because everybody got to win. Everybody got over to a starting incident. Got to Jack Swagger won the World title throughout the ruthless aggression. Yeah. Rufus Aggression era was definitely the, everyone gets a turn era. Yeah. So, you know, and if he's been doing that era, he would have gotten the chance with the title or during the attitude era, he would have probably gotten it also. But we're not in that time. Because here's like, why would you cut the back of a Roman right now?
Why would you put it on him? And you have to answer that question and it can't just be that he deserves it or that his, his title or that it won't, they don't do enough. We're really going to do it. You got to give me a better answer than that and it can't. Well, because then I'd fire back with, okay, he deserves a world title. And okay, if you want to play this game by every metric, he does not deserve to take that title off of Roman Reigns. So I mean, you know what? Because look, if he deserves it, then then, then well, Reigns, you should have won a WrestleMania. Okay. Yep. Or, you know, I mean, there are other people who just, you know, if, you know, if, you know, Rob clearly feels how he feels. DJ, talk to these LA night fans through it.
Okay. So I, unfortunately, I side with the LA night fans, but for different reasons. I think if you're going to do it with LA night, the window is definitely closing. And if it doesn't happen in the tail and the last quarter of 2026, it is not happening in 2027. There are too many moving parts and pieces. Oba Femmy is on the rise. Trick William is on the rise. These guys are both younger, hungrier lions than LA night. I think if you're going to do it, this block of time that we're about to enter into is the perfect time to do it. And you do it by furthering the storyline with 946. You know, Drowman is the only person now in the bloodline that those guys haven't gotten hands on. They've gotten, they, they kidnap poor solo, Sikoa. They put Jacob in a hospital. They beat the everloven dog shit out of the Usos. You know, they, they've just committed one felony after another on the bloodline. And the only one they haven't gotten their hands on is Roman.
I think Roman's time is up this weekend. I think 946 gets their hands on him and I think they cost him the World Heavyweight Championship. I think it's okay to do that. And especially since we are literally heading into war games, because now you just up the ante, you just up the stakes. This is now a blood feud in a match that is built for blood fused. So that's me talking everybody through it. Yeah, yeah, you kind of convinced me, honestly. You know, if they're going to do it, if they do it that way, it's just whatever. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, I don't know, man. I'm just kind of still in the mentality that the last time we saw someone take a title off Roman Reigns, it took the Avengers. But I don't think we need that level of an event anymore. Like you can't replicate that and you shouldn't even try. No, and I'm saying that with like kind of a wink and a smile for my guy.
But let that stand on its own pedestal in its own shrine in the annals of history. Like we can do something different with Roman now. And it's okay for him to have these less than year-long title runs at this point in the game. So I definitely think if you're going to do it this weekend is the time and the scenario that I laid out is the most valuable. Yeah, and I'm a storyline standpoint. It makes good sense. No, I will say this. If LA Knight, if he was involved in the whole kind of cluster, again, over there on Smack Down, then I would be much more involved to him. I expect that time to get passed around some, you know, between now and WrestleMania or whatever. Right. It would make it would make much more sense to have him winning it as part of that. But now look, okay, and then look, if they do it, I'm not going to be like, well, why
are they doing that? Yeah. It's just on the, you know, here on the front end ahead of it. I just have a hard time picturing them doing that. Yeah, I just do. Now I think I think we're in for a hell of a show this weekend. WWE has the last, I'd say the majority of 2026. I'd say the beginning of the year probably started off a little shaky, a little wonky, but they have really dialed in not only on the in-ring delivery, but the creative side. I think they've really got some compelling things going on. I love what they're doing over on Smack Down with that World Championship in Sami Sain. I'm very into the 946. We've got Oba Femi. There's some incredible women across the board putting in good work. So I really think WWE creatively, you know, after about 18-month set of missteps is starting
to find it splitting again. And I think we're going to be an incredible weekend. I really do. I think they're going to put on a good show. I will say things have definitely picked up in every way imaginable since summer's night. Yes. Yeah, the second half of 2026 has been not even the Saturday nights made events, which are typically seen as thrown away shows have been great. Good to great. Good to great, but they're vast majority have been status quo. Yeah, okay. So no, no, I'm saying like the recently, they've been consequential, like even the Saturday night made events. Yes. They've been like things have happened. Whereas at least when they first restarted, everyone was everything was pretty much chalk. Everybody you expected to win one or pedals didn't really change hands except for a little bit. But now they're just kind of like, yeah, gloves are off. Yeah, gloves are off.
We're throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. And for me, right now a lot of stuff is sticking. I'm enjoying it. So we're going to take a real quick break. When we come back, we're going to have a discussion about Julia. This was something Rob brought up in chat with us. And I know we've talked about her on this show before and there's a lot of discourse going on about what's not working with her. And we want to kick that around just a little bit more. But before we do and before we go to break, I want to invite you to go over to pro wrestling tees.com forward slash the chair shot from there. You can look at browse peruse if you will. I did tell you we were going to talk a little bit about Julia and this was Rob's baby. So I'm going to kick this over to Rob, turn it over him and Rob, tell us how did this become a topic with you? Okay. We've talked about Julia and our chat and it is pretty common on Friday nights of Julia loses a match for the people complaining. Now except with the exception of last Friday because she lost to somebody who they felt was worthy. But you know, she lost the last legend a couple of times and there are a lot of people who think that legend has no right to be defeating Julia and this is an outrage and they have to be. So you know, disgusted everyone or something and I'm like okay, whatever.
But okay, I'm in a Facebook group for black wrestling fans. Now we don't just talk about black wrestlers. Yeah, we talk about everybody. And Rob, just adjust that you're in a Facebook group for wrestling fans in general. Well, it's a wrestling group. I'm just going to say love yourself, man. You know what? It doesn't matter what your wrestling group is. Love yourself, my friend. Please step away. Okay. Okay. I was invited in. And he's about to tell us why he should. Ladies and gentlemen, what did you see? What did you see on the message boards, Rob? I don't talk. Jason. I was invited. Our buddy Duke invited me to this group which actually that probably didn't help me. Right. But you. That was your second mistake, Rob. Oh, man. But you know, Duke is.
He's a wild card. Yeah, but I wouldn't get up. But, you know, so somebody posted in this group because with this goes a video. It was like a short little highlight video of. Like an intro video for Julia for a match that she had in stock. And then it's above the video. This person typed this caption. And this is what they took from you. Oh, God. And was the entrance cool. Yeah, but. It's okay. Okay. And so I got a bit like this was almost this was a. Almost a. From my phone at the TV screen situation. So that. Okay. And. So I had to say something. So I did. And I'm going to read you. I said they didn't take anything. She chose a sign there.
If she or anybody else thought she was going to be doing all that. I mean, it's their own fault. You should get mad at her for going there. That's what I said. What's wrong? Oh, dear. You must have really had him come in after you at that point. Now. I'll take that. The wider discussion. So. So that is what I'm finishing. And we'll. And I have done with this. I have nothing against her. Okay. I really don't. I'm just. People we people say on the internet all the time that you're supposed to push the people who are over and you shouldn't be pushing people who are not over and you shouldn't. And. Of course that really means the head. You know, you should push the people who I like and. You know, over or not. But. But you know, but that's what they should push us over this person over. They should have won. They should get the move because they're over there. Or people say that all the time.
And. And this is an example of somebody who they absolutely did push. And. On her third match on Smackdown. We won the rest title. And then tried that for six months and nobody cared. And then so they had to lose it. It's chosen green. And they had to win it back a couple months later. And then. Still nobody cared. And. So. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. If they're pushing you. If they. Okay. And. Every time I see somebody make this argument that older. They're not well. They don't let her do what you didn't start. She was. Okay. She powered off somebody to a table and start on myself. Okay. If you thought they were a little power job. And then. Okay. I don't. And if you think they were going to do like. Really stiff like shotgun drop kick.
Like you might be actually kicking person in hand. If you think they're really never going to do that. Sorry. I don't think you think. You got that idea for him. You know. You know, I mean. I mean. If we'll ask where I came to every W.A. He would not be dropping people on the head. Okay. He wouldn't be doing. You know, he wouldn't be doing all that stuff he does now. Okay. If you don't. You wouldn't be doing coffee drops off the Titan. Trying to do a table. Okay. Okay. Yeah. You. You shouldn't be expecting that. And. You know, you just. Just not what happened. And. And also look again. You know, they booked it to win. And by. It wasn't just on the main roster.
Where they they booked it a win still in NXT. And after that initial Howard's dream. About a month later. It was like. Okay. That's definitely ladies lot better. I mean, okay. And then they got a thing. And it's just like the second time where they they have that they booked one stuff and. And people just like, okay, sure. And doing this for a year. And. understand what you're watching. I've run an area that I will agree with the nerds on and only because this isn't even their opinions, it's fat. WWE is an entertainment company first and a wrestling company second. That is absolutely fat, but they've never been shy about that.
They've always been like that and this isn't something that's changed in the last ten years of Vince's run or the entirety of Triple H's run. WWE, you go back to the day Vince took over. It has been more about the show and less about the wrestling. There's always been great wrestling in pockets and more pockets than the nerds will allow you to believe. There are a lot of times there's some fantastic wrestling going on on WWE, but they lead you to believe differently. But you cannot survive there with that crowd, with those fans, with the expectation that WWE has set for itself over a period of almost 50 years. You cannot survive there being great wrestler guy or great wrestler girl. And I'll expand that even more is to say that if you want to be a real draw in the industry and I'll talk about draw. Somebody who puts asses in seats, you have to be willing to be an entertainer
as much as you are a wrestler in some cases maybe even more. Those are the draws. Sorry guys, the industry is littered with the bodies of great wrestlers. Littered with it. Great wrestlers who never drew a goddamn dime. And that's not a knock on their ability. It's not a knock on how good they were in the ring or how bad they were in the ring. They just never grabbed that other necessary tangible. And some people never will. And I think that, you know, I think Julie is trying. And I think that, you know, I commend her for her efforts. I commend them for continuing to try with her. But some people just are not WWE entertaining. And that's not an insult to them. It's just what it is. You know, and then some people can be but don't want to be for those people. They can go to AEW. They go to MLW. They can go to T. Well, TNA is a bit more entertainment based.
It always has been for being real, but still, you know what I'm talking about. I just, we've known for 40 years as wrestlers. I was a worker in the industry from 97 to 2000. And we knew back then what WWE was. We knew that you could perform every wrestling move known to man. Perform it flawlessly, safely. They only gave a shit so much. Give me a character I can put on TV that is going to draw eyes to our program and put asses in the seats. You know. That's pretty much it, man. I mean, look at just look at the entire history of. WrestleMania. Hello. You know, WrestleMania was a show, guys. So it's just that's what it is. And I would just add that like. It's literally everyone's fault and no one's fault. And what I mean there is just where Julia is right now and it's kind of weird limbo.
Like sure, I could point along the way at gimmicks that I just don't think we're quite. Like when she was special assistant to what's her name and I just was like, this isn't quite it, man. So I would say I would try something bolder and I don't know. But again, I'm not going to come up with an answer. So who am I? And then I would say it's also no one's fault because like DJ was saying it's just kind of a thing where. Some people click and some people don't like it's just. And maybe you know, it's as simple as interest is it can all of a sudden people are. You know, looking at her or maybe it's not. But I just get the vibe that there's just not that. You're geno, say, why if you will. So yeah, I'm not picking up what we're trying to be told here. But when I said all that, I say all that and then when the bell rings, Julia's awesome.
And she can get in there with anybody. So, you know, I get also like DJ like you said I get why they keep trying. And that's the point I was going to make. This is such a discussion, a difficult discussion to have. Because again, at my heart while I enjoy WWE and I enjoy the spectacle and the entertainment and all that, I am a work rate nerd. I love a good work rate wrestling match and for that alone, Julia tickles that. She really does. She gives me that. And if they decided one day to turn her loose and let her be the stardom buzz saw that she was, I'd be happy. Do I think the WWE audience at large would change their opinion on her? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I don't think letting her do the moves that she did in stardom is going to change the average WWE Joe fan perspective of her. Because she's really, really good and that appeals to me, you know, but it ain't all about me, you know, there are kids in the audience and people who like the rest of the story.
And for that, if she doesn't have the ability to give them that, she's going to have a ceiling and that's unfortunate because she is that good. She's incredibly brilliant in the ring. She's gorgeous. And we're missing that last tangible there. And I don't know whether they just have not brought it out of her or whether they just haven't found the right mix. And maybe, maybe they need to move her to raw. Give her a different creative group of people. Maybe somebody on raw can look at her and go, you know what, I know exactly what to do with her. And maybe, maybe the presentation can change under a different set of creative hands. Well, I mean, this is always the easy answer and unfortunately it's worked for a lot of people in the last like, say three years, you know, more with Roman Rines. But now if you pair the bus saw thing with turning her heel in a murder heel. We can't.
You know, there's there's so much more runway for her, but it's just it's the yeah, like you said, DJ, there's no easy answer. Yeah, it's not it's sometimes creatively you just never find that group. And that's not a knock on creative. It's not a knock on the talent. It's just unfortunately just what it is eventually and even we can say the same thing about Tony. You look at the people that have come over from WWE from AEW and Tony literally had no idea what to do with them. And again, that's not a knock on him. It's just some bookers and some talent. Don't they don't mesh and you know, it's a we took it took powerhouse Hobbes leaving and coming to WWE to get something that he could sink a teeth into and he's been amazing. You know, maybe Julia leaves WWE goes to AEW and Tony looks at her and goes, you know what I know what to do with her. You know, let's do this and it works. You know, it's sometimes that's just what it is. That's the business. You know, I've said this before.
All promoters triple H Vince Tony right on down the line. They all have blind spots. They all have people they look at them and they can go, you know what, I know exactly what to do with you. And then they can look at somebody else who in ring is just as good or better and look at him and go, I have no idea what to do with that. You know, because I've got 20 women on this roster who can wrestle that match. Why should I put her on TV and why is she different show me the different. And you know, it's. I mean, I would even add DJ we have plenty of examples of folks going from AEW to WWE or WWE to AW or from anywhere to anywhere in history. And then finally just. Oh, here they are. Like just because the book another book or looked at them and went, how about this. Yeah, they're all against. Yeah, Dana Brooke Dana Brooke struggle for years. She was the comedy gimmick wrestler or five years in WWE.
She went over to TNA and within a year. She was one of their hottest stars. Sometimes it just yeah, it's just that. Yep, and they tried like. Different comedy asked like characters for yes, for her and then her with literally anybody. And it just was like, I don't know, it just wasn't and then now look at her. She's incredible. This is your second out to when she was in the club. Yep, this is your segment Jason and I hijacked it. You want to close it out? Yeah, I'll just say that like there's like 20 women on Smackdown, one of those women, Candace Lorray who pretty much gets to do nothing. Candace, the Ray has wrestled two matches on television this year and. A person she lost both of them. And you could put together a highlight reel of Candace Lorray in the matches. It stands up against whatever Julia did and start him and you can make the exact same point.
Literal death matches guys. Okay, so. This whole this person deserves that person deserves. You know, nobody actually nobody deserves. Okay, it's it's it's a scripted show of the booker decides we can get to be on TV. You deserve to get. You deserve a safe work environment. You deserve a paycheck for working. Okay, however, I would like to see Candace Lorray in the money in the bank ladder match. So that I selfishly and you know, personally, yeah, and I would like to see her in the elimination chamber. I would like to see Candace Lorray get some meaning for TV time for a change. I mean, I'm going to turn this on her because we're talking about Julia, but if we're going to have that discussion, I would love to see Candace Lorray gets some more meaningful. Meaningful creative from her way. Yeah, better than standing next to her sleeping husband for week after week after week.
Yeah, yeah, or or or let her do a run in during one of his matches. Yeah, I mean, it was a world title match. I mean, that is in a vacuum that is pretty cool. She got to do a world. Yeah, and during a WWE championship match pretty cool. But in the greater scheme. So yeah, like if we're going to talk just if we're going to do that, if we're going to do this, this person deserves this or that. Yeah, there were a lot of names in throw around. Yeah, yeah. And again, that's based on fan opinion. You know, it really is. At the end of the day, fan opinions will bury. There's probably half a dozen women on that roster. I wish they pushed to the moon immediately. And Jason and Rob may disagree with me. And you listening may say DJ, you're out of your mind. Or DJ, I agree with you. You know, so it's a but the end of the day, what you have to feed is the largest group of people who agree on that person.
And if there's not a large enough group of people going, you know what, push that girl, push that guy, they're not going to do. You know, it's so that's the industry guys and that's not a WWE specific thing. So, basically companies are in the money making business. They're in the money making business. And if you're not making them money, they're not going to push you. It's not going to happen. And though making them do to moves will not help that situation. Alright guys, one last situation here. Next week Jason and Rob are on their own because I'm on vacation. My girlfriend and I are heading on a cruise next week looking forward to that. When I get back on Friday, that following weekend, big movie, huge movie, movie I'm looking forward to. Street fighter, starring the tribal chief, Roman Reigns and Cody Roads. Guys, are you going to open weekend? Oh, you bet your ass. I'm going to be there Friday night.
I was made to take the chat, boom, Reigns on the screen. You see a guy throwing up the one you're in my theater. What about you, Ross? It'll be coming down to a kids decision. If he's miles wants to see it, then we're definitely going. Because I haven't made it. And if he doesn't, he's up for adoption. And we'll do him like Ray did Dominic. Did you hear the story where Ray told him, okay, you're working tonight and you know, and you're going to get you're going to get to be to take some bumps tonight. And he didn't tell me what it was. He didn't tell me who it was. I don't know what he was doing. And Brooklyn. Yes. I saw that story out of rap and lap. That was great. Like city boy. Well, okay, so we, we're on our cruise Monday through Friday. We get off on Friday. We're likely going to be busy.
There's going to be laundry, a house to clean six cats that are going to be very pissed that we left them for five days. So there'll be a lot of stuff to do. I think the movie starts Friday night. So we probably won't see it opening night. But depending on how the weekend flows, I may talk or anyone to see it, but we did. We're both definitely dialed in on seeing this one. It just looks like fun. It looks like a, it looks like a movie that understands the assignment. Yeah, once again, they get certainly looks like they copied the least the, the spirit of the most recent Mortal Kombat movies. Like whole thing. I don't be ashamed. It's about a friggin video game guys. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm looking, you took one looking, look at Cody Rhodes's hairpiece for Gile. And they went, nope, they are not ashamed. It's about a stupid video game. Got it. And I applaud them for that. I applaud him for wearing that proudly and making a damn popcorn bucket out of that thing. Dude, he is living his best life.
He was on one last meals and he was telling the story of how he got the part. Like the folks from the movie like came to something he was at and they're like pulled them into a room. And he thought they were going to ask him like he had heard some things that they were going to ask him to like have some small like consultant part like as a council of nerds because he knows the street fighter Lord, what not. And he was like, hey, how would you feel about being guy? He's like, yeah, no problem. All right. Yep. Got it. So, and Cody absolutely being a nerd like the rest of us. He understands that that assignment. And he. Just in the clips I've seen with him, he hands it up into all the best possible ways. I think Roman is going to be incredible. And he has to be said Cody had like street fighter. We all know Cody's a nerd play geo games all that stuff. But like street fighter is one of his like tent poles. So this is like me playing in a Final Fantasy 7 movie or something like this is this guy went all in and it looks like it's going to be a ton of fun.
Yeah, I hope it makes a gazillion dollars because I want them to come back into a second one and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Rob any more thoughts on that street fighter movie. I know looks like it's going to be fun and definitely go check it out. If not in this weekend, something after. Yeah, I can't wait for the end with a Cuba beats real. I have a feeling that I have a feeling your one is going to be tucked down in your pocket at the end of that film. No, I'm hoping for just a dusty finish and we'll add, you know, because I mean, you can't blow off a Cuba and re you in movie one. You just can't. It's for you. It's for you. Yeah, I've been calling it right you for 40 years. We always have right you. Yeah, I've been calling it right. I was going to say your white, but, you know, yeah, and also, yeah, I'm just a nerd. You can say it either way for a right you it's the way they were saying it, you know, in America and you know in the 90s and then, but whatever.
All right. Well, let's let's get out of here because I think we've run that one out. Anyway, Street Fighter coming out in a week looking forward to that one going to go back around the room here and thank my co host for another fun episode. I had a lot of laughs here. Got some serious stuff out of the way and had a good time. Jason sir, thank you for another fun show. I had a great time once again, my friends.
