Mike Tomlin Joins NBC, Bringing Steelers Fire to TV

0:00It's April 21st. This is NFL News Today, powered by AI Your Gridiron Update. I'm Cory with the story. My Tomlin is trading the sideline for the studio folks. The 54-year-old Steelers legend is joining NBC's football night in America. The pregame show for Sunday night football. He's stepping in for Tony Dungee, his old boss from way back. Tomlin assisted Dungee with the tap-a-bay buccaneers more than 20 years ago. Dungee bounced from NBC back in March, opening the door. Tomlin himself hung up his whistle after the 2025 season with Pittsburgh. Fans have been buzzing about this move forever. Tomlin's a master of those killer metaphors. Dropping lines like two dogs, one bone, or we want volunteers, not hostages. He stayed out of the spotlight since that playoff hard break against the Houston Texans in January. Over his 19 years coaching the Steelers, he took them to two Super Bowls and snagged Super Bowl 43 in just his second year. His record stands at 201 wins, 126 losses, and two ties playoffs included.

1:06Now Tomlin's metaphors will hit your TV weekly, keeping that fire alive without the headset. NFL fans, get ready for the next chapter.
