Michael Conlan And Vergil Ortiz Win + Rahman Jr. Won't Leave Dan Alone | Fight Freaks Unite Recap

On the latest edition of the show, unbeaten welterweight contender Vergil Ortiz returned in Texas and got his latest KO. Plus, Irish featherweight contender Michael Conlan also got back in the ring after his first loss and got a decision victory. And, we're ready to discuss it all on the "Fight Freaks Unite Recap" podcast.

Host T.J. Rives and insider Dan Rafael of BigFightWeekend.com are back with their thoughts on the Texas and Ireland bouts.

First, they discuss for the final time the cancelled Jake Paul-Hasim Rahman Jr. PPV. This as Rahman tried to portray Friday afternoon that he could have close to a compromised weight for their bout that was to have headlined at MSG in New York. Then, he and Dan traded some social media barbs Sunday about it all. Clearly, Paul and his management are moving on for another bout later this year.

Dan also has some insight on some fighter news from the weekend involving Jake Catterall and Nonito Donaire.

Finally, the guys break down Ortiz's TKO of England's Michael McKinson in the Golden Boy Promotions main event. Also, they both called the Blair Cobbs upset win over former world champ Maurice Hooker on the same Texas card. Dan has insight on what's up with Hooker and whether he'll fight on after another loss?

And, the guys talk Conlan's convincing win and why opponent Miguel Marriaga showed little in the 10 round loss.

It's all part of "Fight Freaks Unite Recap" Podcast on the Big Fight Weekend podcast feed. And mare sure to follow/subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google, etc.!!
