Your journey is designed to feel easy from the moment you check in to the moment you arrive, no matter where you're going, American gets you there. But now at AA.com. There's a lot of thought behind a person being a born loser, becoming who I am today. You know, this wake up and just rocky to shit.

You gotta wake up and think about, you know, there's a process to getting better and that process is never finished. I realized how the brain works. I figured out how the brain works. I made scared kid and that's what gives me so much power. I had no foundation and I built this off of just researching the mind. The feeling you get is basically invincibility. You realize that you can't do it all the time. When you need to do it, I know I can go to a place that I can live in. And when you know that you can run on broken legs and you can do certain things that a lot of people can do, but they're not willing to do this power, the sympathetic nervous system, a fighter flight and you're fighting. It gives you this charge of energy. Of when you're sitting there at 3.34 o'clock in the morning

and you're duct tape and your feet up because you're broken and you're doing it by yourself and you're going through arguably one of the hardest training in the world. And these guys, most of them are healthy and you're going through a broken and you already had a disadvantage, but you're still there. You can feed into that and tap into that for a lot of power. But if you look at it, well, I'm broken, man. Like I'm not going to make it. But if you look at it as man, I'm broken and I'm still here. Now I'm fighting and I'm going to find a way to get through this because I have no other place to go. It gives you a lot of power. I'm a guy who wants to make people better. For people to get better, I have to continuously get better myself. For me to do that, I can't just say, oh, I have this resume, the resume is there forever. I'm good. I have to cap my success because for me to help people out,

I can't just say I did it once and I'm good. I have to continue to reinvent the wheel of the mind and figure out more and more ways for you to pull because if I have a cookie cutter message, it may hit five people out of 25. You just failed. My message needs to be in a way where I can hit all 25 people. It needs to be broad enough to where all 25 people may not like the message, but they're getting something from it. And that is evolution. You must continue to evolve and you don't evolve for me in my job unless I cap myself somewhere. It's okay. You made this much money. Get back to fucking work. It's time to get back to work. Stop here in your self-talk. Get off the podcast. Don't be on social media too much. Cut out all the fucking noise. Get back to the fucking mental lab. Because that's where the knowledge came from. You create your own self. Most people are missing something because there's so much trapped in there.

I don't even wanna say potential. I think that's where you use out too much to. There's so much in you that God or wherever the hell you believe in or if you're atheist. In you that you have not unlocked. That you walk around with this gorgeous wife or a great husband and all this money. Like, God, I feel like I'm missing something. Yeah, because it's about 75% of you is still fucking in there. Still chained up because you just didn't wanna find your willpower. Didn't wanna find your soul, your will, your heart, your determination, your guts, your courage. And with that looks like it looks scary. Like your little scary lab I went in. Scary. To make up every day and say, I'm stupid, but I wanna figure out a way to be smarter. Where's the saying, man, I just can't do that. So you limit this box. So your box becomes so small of things you can do. My box wouldn't even a box. It was a fucking little like little pinhole. And then through examining myself,

getting some willpower, some courage, it became bigger in this table. But that's what we all do. That's why I wanted to come here today and talk to you about real shit. Not no fucking like hacks. There's no hacks, bro. It's you against you. You against you. And if you misunderstand that, give a real problem. One big thing is accountability, Mary. You have to start with yourself. So what happened in my life was we start to get, I call it like the Rucksack. A Rucksack is a pack that you carry in the military and you put all your stuff in it. Your radios, your food, your water, all that stuff you get to carry in the military. That's your Rucksack. It's a backpack pretty much. As you're growing up, we all have a backpack. Most of ours, hopefully, is empty. And what we put in it is all the crap we go through in life. That's what is in the backpack for the civilians. And we carry it around with us. So what you have to start doing is realizing that I'm a rare rat in life.

I got caught nigger a lot. My dad abused me. You know, learning disabilities, tutors, immaturity, insecurities, self-doubt, so much crap on top of me. So much stuff. I lied a lot to create friends. So people that so much stuff was in my backpack. No one's coming back to help me. So it starts with that person in that mirror. You have to realize you are on your own now. And whatever else you believe in, I don't care what you believe in, but on earth, it's a very lonely journey. And it starts with the accountability mirror. I'm looking at saying, hey, my daddy beat the hell. I'm not coming back. All these things are coming back. I have to face myself. And you have to own all those things that people may have done to you. Now it's yours. You gotta own it. And it's yours now to fix the problems that people did to you. It makes no sense. It's not fair. I get it. But if you live in that, what was me mentality of guess what? My dad did this to me. My mom just did to me. People who bullied did this to me.

You're gonna always live right there. You have to figure out ways to move forward because you're not coming back. And it starts with the mirror. And I call it the accountability mirror in the book. My biggest advice to give everybody in the world is like I say, we live in an external world. Everything is, you gotta see it. Touch it. It's external. If you can for the rest of your life live inside of yourself. Stop listening to people who are calling you fat, gay, transsex, world, nigger. Everything that is makes no sense. All these insecure people put in their insecurities on you, you gotta flush it out. You gotta just be whoever the hell God or whatever the hell you believe in. If you believe in nothing but yourself, I don't care what it is. You gotta take everything and throw it away. You have to believe in one thing and that is yourself. And I'm not saying don't believe in God or what you believe in, but right now for you to find greatness in yourself, you're not gonna find it by looking in a book

or by even hearing me. I may give you the spark but you've got to go inside yourself to find it. And that means you gotta be quiet. Shut up, go on a room, stop talking, search your soul, search your mind, search your abilities and you'll find it. But if you're not looking for it, you won't find it. So you gotta go start your journey and the journey starts with you finding why the hell am I here on this planet earth? Why am I here? If you don't know that, you will live the rest of your life searching, always asking the question, why? You have to remind yourself, we all have a story. We've all, all of us have gone through very hard times. But when we're in a hard time, our mind has a way of forgetting what all we've overcome. I have a way of taking one second when I wanna quit and say, okay, you endured this. So I look at my life and how I came up as the ultimate training ground

versus most people look at it as why? What was me? God, why? Exactly. Why? I had to flip this upside down and say, hey, on second, God was training me to be one of the baddest men on the planet earth. Absolutely right. That's how, this was my journey. Do you begin to realize in this moment how mentally strong you are? Yes, because those things beat me? Sure. But then it killed me. No. And I was able to work around and figure out ways to do it. So when I was in the worst time of my life in Hell Week, I looked at everybody and said, I'm the most trained person here. Well, that's the truth. I've gone through more mental torches than any of you all keep in the fathom. Yeah. So I'm looking at the baddest people on the planet. I'm looking at them like this. You guys can't hold a stick. So I started looking at verses like, I don't belong here. Versus like, I might be the best person ever come here. Who could have pulled this off? Who could have been given a sewer to live in in their mind?

And say, OK, at birth, I'm going to put you in the worst place on the planet earth. And let me see if you can go to the top of the mountain with nothing. But just hard work grit and figuring it out and not putting yourself back in the dungeon every time something got hard. So that's what became my daily voice was, you really are the baddest person on the planet. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome. You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome?
