It is weird. Jen and I were talking about this, you know, Friday off to BlizzCon. And then took an extra day to come back obviously on Monday. It feels like we've been going on a long time. I've packed you so much in. I've packed you so much in. It's not a Disney Land in. Sure. Disney Land is like that's a whole, that's a whole vacate. A Disney Land that is, of course, celebrating Halloween season. They started in August. Of course, they want the money. So, and I want the fun. So, when Tim wanted to shit all over me on September 1st, I didn't understand why there's a lot of things. I definitely do. And it's hilarious the amount of people that are on your side. It's so crazy to think that like, I'm being egregious saying that Halloween should at the most be celebrated starting October 1st. You said a week. I'm saying I'm saying I'm most I know I'm talking about a week now That's where I think you pissed a lot of people off. Oh, I mean, but I think the week is what it should be your psychopath

And they're like wow We're not anymore. That's not what Joe Ham has to say, you know John Ham said we were slaves. I don't know. I will talk about them to the best of our abilities This will be obviously full spoilers for Marvel's Wolverine on the PlayStation 5 by insomnia at games So if you do not want to be spoiled for that game Don't watch this yet play the game come back listen to this check it out Have some fun go to your thing man. I always think every this doesn't go bad. This isn't milk It's not worried about it. It's not here for you Delightful Darren already super chat and say and I'm enjoying Wolverine But this isn't as good as the Miles Morales game. I love the Miles gaming story It was 15 to 20 hours long and only $50 Yeah, I also did not enjoy this as much as I enjoyed Miles Morales But Greg there's a lot to talk about this is a there's a whole story that we didn't really You couldn't get into we didn't want to get in we didn't want to You obviously we we talked about kind of our overall Thoughts on the quality of it, but we didn't really get to talk about anything that happens We didn't get to talk about any of the real character dynamics in any type of depth We didn't really get to talk about the bosses that show up the ones that we liked the ones that we were a little at on

6:35I kind of want to start with you and the centinals because your preview event you only got to play the basic centinals not Yeah, we're gonna The game has multiple sentinel battles going through whether it's the more Humanoid sized ones that you're facing off against towards other ones sends us to Wolverine heaven the bigger ones Yeah, what do you think about the finished product now with the entire sentinel experience from a Boss fight encounter perspective? I don't think it did much for me they definitely tuned the difficulty of that first sentinel battle It went way faster than they did in my previous session my previous session And they what and I don't think it was that I didn't know what I was doing Maybe it was that the allocation of skill points or something that affect But during that previous session like this is going on an egregiously long time both in fit is one in phase two outside with mystique and Saber-duff so they got that to where I didn't have as I didn't feel as oh I'm doing this again And it's taking this long which was nice

7:37Once the sentinel's got introduced is humanoid sized people and you're like all right That's weird like we know and I maybe I don't maybe I don't actually Maybe I don't I feel like I know what a sentinel should look like and how big it should be and how actual scary it should be And so when it's just like These sentinel dudes just normal size sentinel dudes and of course I I want to know if this was your take on it too Every time the game introduced is like whoa Here's a new enemy type that's like dude that first fight with them always felt like it took a while I'm like I actually had it and then every other time they showed up they were just fodder and I ended up seeing them apart I mean I think that's just because the game taught you how to beat them and I think the game's very I mean like we said the combat is pretty simple in terms of Almost rock paper scissors where it's like they're not adding Many more elements. They always had more hit points is basically what I mean though I hung out longer with them and then they show up like oh it's gonna be if others two of them But I feel like as the enemies would go on there was there's a lot more of those yellow parries So that means you're like taking down a lot more help if they hit you it's more but you know at that point

8:41I think there were a little more so anyways Normal size sentals didn't do much for me and then the big sentinel of that point was Fine again like I wish we had more of a shadow the colossus like I am Save don't even give me the small ones bring out the big one here. We did it here's I've realized trash Division it's all but now it's turning you into mutants and now I am jumping on finding weak spots Gah-gah people are coming up knocking me off. I have to get thrown back up there You know fastball special style to get whatever like I could have gone for that. Yeah I mean like my problem is we will run through this as So few on the stick's moments and even story beats but for this art conversation story wants stick with me where it really is like I felt let down by every boss fight like like omega red wasn't like a lot of fun to fight like I don't remember specific I remember stanch it as fucking his dreads out of his arms and yankin him a throne like you know they meet like So even the big set will fight at the end of the wing. I don't remember I mean anything other than serviceable like everything else in this game in terms of combat

9:41Yeah, the signal one at the end I think kind of set piecewise was what I expected and wanted from the fight So I feel like that kind of it gave me No, no, it gave you what you gave me what I want from the big final battle thing right and especially when you had all the The sinister stuff around it and the smaller sense of no tell me that that's classic X-Men stuff like that That's just how how this has to go and also classic insomnia game design where you just need the enemy types to to level up Yeah, you take that all back to classic like arcade brawler design of like you get the you know the purple foot soldier Then you get the blue foot soldier then you get to understand what that means in terms of HP and Abilities and all that but boss fight wise lady death strike in the middle of the game. I enjoyed quite a bit I feel like some of the story beats there really really worked for me and then some of them Overall like the conclusion of it's with the helix thing like killing her and all that yeah It's a little bit Convenient and rust for the plot that they were trying to tell overall Um, but I really liked both the mechanics of that fight and how it kind of played with the hordes of hand

10:45I think the hand as an enemy for Wolverine was by far the highlight for me Of just generic grunts that you're facing off against yeah, um and them teleporting around and they're just cool They look cool the red school the areas. They're in like everything about that Japan But I think level to the game and that's what I'd like to I'd rather flip the conversation a bit about right or What does stand out to you from the Wolverine game like what when you go back to it because for me it is That start to Japan. I thought being on the plane getting thrown out of the plane I'm you know clawing my way back into the plane Gene's throwing people around the planes cry like I loved that That is like when I think back on this game and what I'm gonna remember I'm gonna remember that I think then also just I liked being in Tokyo I like I liked what that looked like yeah, I guess for me the the fan like most was the Getting into the handslayer because I feel like the the Tokyo it was cool if a little under utilized Like lots of repeating NPCs lots of like okay, I can't do many things It's definitely the biggest area in the game

11:46But I think it really kind of highlights just how hallway based the game is which I don't think is inherently bad But when you do have a more open space like Japan and it is just a lot of the hallways next to each other It is a little deceiving. I felt like there was going to be more things for me to be able to do And in some ways it's like oh you can crawl up this wall But you can on this one and it didn't feel As consistent as I would have liked because it did give me the impression that I was gonna be doing much cooler things There are stepping moments where you're running on the rooftops and The big dinosaur thing and you're like dodging it and stuff And it is cool But it is so on rails yeah that like you can almost look around to the Japan from the floor and like see Oh, eventually I'm gonna get there, but when you down there looks like oh there's like places to go And again, I didn't need it to be more open, but it's presented open and so that's the thing that Was hard for me to kind of wrap my head around but then once you get down into the layer in Japan that's For the hand I loved going through those caverns and like kind of getting the story beats of

12:48What happened and why they're so upset with Wolverine? Yeah, and I called him the shini gami like the god of death and kind of revealing over time that this layer is Their tomb where in past lives Wolverine has killed hundreds of not thousands of hand members That is such a cool idea for somebody that we know that we're playing as that is just killing and ripping people up And I can't remember his past to have his past involved being God of death the god of death and especially as that plays into the apocalypse stuff later which I think is obviously Well-intentioned I think very poorly done But I think that the teases of it here of him being literally the embodiment of death to the hand Against lady death strike like all that stuff was really cool And I think the boss fight and that area using the insomniac tech of the portals and like the the fun I I don't even know the best way to put it like what what is it's not a universe jumping

13:49But it's just like complete different area jumpings where you're like you got like smashed up that thing and come all the way down here And now different planes just totally different planes or it's like from a video game perspective very impressive Technically, but then I also think it just adds a lot of fun and intrigue to what's going on here with the hands that are throwing down the smoke bombs and all that stuff It just that section of the game was like such a highlight to me for sure Yeah, I'm with you on that like I think that was all really cool And even like when we got to the point where the hand gets introduced early on which is from my demo, right? But was a breath of fresh air to go from the mechanical cyborg people to suddenly it was the hand I enjoyed fighting them more and I thought they were more interesting I loved stabbing me with katanas and me yanking them out and then using them to attack people I thought it was better iconography right of like I talked about of them You know Wolverine's running grabs the guy to guys jump out they stab him the chest and we smash through the glass We all come down he gets some payload with the thing that all worked really well for me in terms of like that's cool But it was that usual thing of like I'm playing them like I wish this was the game

14:52Like I want your take because I know we haven't actually talked we talked in code about it in there or whatever But I don't know your take on the overall story and I personally feel like a more narrow story smaller story a smaller scope could have gone so much further like I would have rather fleshed out more of this with the hand more of being the shemigami right of like This is what we're doing not to say like Ignore other things are not have other threads the idea but like I just like from this jump 30 years 30 years ago Wolverine's this fair little guy British man starts talking him. Oh, it's in the last six. Oh, that's mr. Simistar. Okay. He's a bad guy like I'm not I'm not at no point to this game have me believing that no Troy Baker is going to be the good good guy that we're gonna turn this or to go somewhere So I'm like I'm obviously gonna fight it so to get to the inevitable conclusion of him just having to jam in his head and being in the cape and being in the outfit I was like that didn't feel earned that I didn't understand what we're doing that. Oh, I mean I disagree with that just because like I don't think it's a problem that we knew that he was bad for the beginning

15:54Because I do think that if you don't know Mr. Simistar is the way the game presents it I don't think people would think that he's bad until they give you the story beats the show Like when he the way that he gets he's trying to control Wolverine when Wolverine kills to ask and he's like Hey, that was mine to do not you like those type of things and it's like but we we also see Xavier do things like that all the time We also haven't seen Charles Xavier well presented so far like the the Patrick Stewart version is very different than the comic and even animated series version of Xavier and at this point it's like that's just as viable of an option and of a take of the character because we We're talking about decades of movies at this point um, but mr. Simistar is still very much a like You need to know to know type thing right and connect the sx to that like the movies haven't got into in a direct way Like the sx foundation or whatever was in Deadpool 2 but like yeah average people don't understand what that means Um an x-man 97 like if you watch that you fully understand But like if you didn't um, but I

16:56Similar to spider-man with doc awk. I think that there was more of a Are they really just gonna keep him a good guy here really? But like that was that was more just for that game and then it When they had the whole sinister sex and it's like well, they're gonna do this and have auto turn That all felt so earned like that felt so good agree But spider-man is a much better story than Wolverine is um, but I don't think that's because of the asic side of things here Uh, and I think that the it's not that I was like oh man, they nailed it But like I was I was with it the whole time like I like I love stories performance Sure it is yeah as sx and I just think that overall like the I was trying to put into words like where I'm at overall with the story of this game because I don't think it's bad I at all I just don't think it's that good and I Think it's interesting in ways, but I think in the ways that it's interesting it Kind of turned me off. It's like the best way I can put it is it's like a what if episode

17:57But now one of my favorite ones and there's been a couple in my opinion bad what if episodes I really love a lot of them This is one that's just kind of in the middle. It's a story of a very Wolverine in a totally different what if scenario And kind of the point of playing through the stories figuring out what's different from the things that I'm from Right, and so when you jump it off and start with Essex It's less to me a question of like oh is he really bad and are they gonna keep it that way and it's more like oh They're using him to tell the story we're familiar with of Charles Xavier taking in mutants and have Having the school having a place for them to go having a place for them to feel safe and Try to find other mutants to bring them in, but what does that mean? What's his real goal? What and how is he doing it? What's the means the end and all of that and I was very interested in this game in the early moments of it or hours of it of them setting up the situation of

18:58Having Essex trying to get this he looks thing to be able to find more mutants to be able to bring him into his school thing Trask trying to use it to Bring find mutants to kill all the mutants and then the well we know because we know X-Men of well Charles Xavier would eventually Use something like this with cerebro to bring mutants in his way and I like that idea of the triangle of they're all trying to do the same thing with very different angles, right? Game doesn't get there though. That's the problem. It doesn't ever introduce the Charles Xavier side at all There's just no X-Men in this period and I don't think that that means that this is bad But I do think that's a thing that a lot of people were very interested in and the fact that they don't have it here at all And what they give us instead I think that's kind of where things start to fall apart a bit where they're clearly kind of Hinting that they're building towards the team the something But this game in this world seems to be definitively a Now, but what if we just don't do X-Men like what if there's team X is the team that we have here and this gene gray is not like the gene that you know

20:05She's more a phoenix that has lived many lives and she's Intwined with Wolverine over time forever and ever how you gonna do Cyclops to this dynamic Is he gonna be more like the Wolverine coming in that we're more used to I don't think that's gonna work. I'm not interested in that I mean that I mean being not interested in it. I think is like The game is a kill is heal on how they do this I know you and I don't agree on a lot of our criticisms of the story But for me, it's just like Everything happening here and I understand Okay, cool like they want to make the parallels they wanted this thing But of to professor X to the X-Men to me. I just feel like that is such a swing in a misidea And I understand wanting to do something different But somebody's got to sit somebody down at some point be like yo, we get best case scenario I to do this once every five years like let's not go crazy here and just let's give people what they want it was so Playing the game. I was so like man

21:07Are we really rolling with in this I'm sorry to other X-Men again I'm such a mainstream Marvel person, right? I'm not deep in the weeds like him with DC This felt such like a Seelist cast of just like and the team's got mystique and saber team like well I hate saber tooth and I know mystique usually ends up being bad But also catwoman kind of you know anti hero whatever s-60s here and then when it was the have we met before I've heard that before I started going oh shit This is what they're doing. This is all happening in some kind of mental fugues state. There's clones involved I thought it was clones. I can't believe it. It exists the X-Men exist and we are gonna get a breakthrough where professor X punches And I was like that would have been awesome to sell us on a game that is no no no You're doing this whole thing and this is team X which is so I know the X-Gene So close to X-Men sounds like a fucking knockoff like you know what I mean It sounds like if there's nothing you'd go to buy the X-Men toy in like Chinatown and you get the team X toy instead Yeah, I was like oh we're gonna do a crack through the wall and it's finally gonna make sense of the bright yellow

22:12Costumes and the it's gonna oh man. We've been here and then no instead we get the She's a phoenix. She's written she's right. I'm like that's what we're doing just the the phoenix Gene Gray dies and reset like when Wolverines when I'm doing all these fucking nightmare cabins I'm looking for her. I thought I saw her this that her. I was like oh I'm playing it. I'm like what is it the girlfriend when he was in Japan? Is it this that and then then to get the end of be like oh it was phoenix every time every time it's phoenix And phoenix becomes gene gray and it's like okay, that's a take you know that I get what you're trying to do there But yeah, it's I'm with you. What you're saying right now Goes to a bigger concern. I have with the MCU I know a lot of people are disillusioned with it and that totally makes sense But the amount of people that are like um the amount of the same people that are just kind of like That hate the MCU right now or just like over it that think that the X-Men's gonna save it. I'm like oh man Y'all are setting yourselves up for disappointment

23:13I feel like no matter what happens no matter how authentic they are to whatever vision they have in their head It's either just gonna be like oh we've seen this before or it's gonna be oh it's too money twist too many steps away like I don't think X-Men's gonna be the the magical Bullets that's gonna fix everything like I think even X-Men 97 which came out and is like kind of just unanimously loved then season two kind of like towards the end of it. It's like oh shit Well, it's no longer this like bastion of hope of oh they still got it So we'll see but I have my trepidations I think we should be trepidations about everything right and when we're doing any of these Things into nostalgia farming and yeti idiot it my thing with the movies would be We're already in spoilers, but I'm assuming you're up today on spider-man brand new day everybody Where all we all saw the movie we all saw the movie right like even that interpretation of gene like I don't think we need to rush to them being in the bright colored spandex mashing suits I think there's a lot of fun to be had with what this Xavier is and where we're going with it and Giving you those touchstones on characters you care about that's my problem with the Wolverine game

24:17Is that it's like I don't care about saving tooth. I know no no no just hear me out. I don't care about saber tooth I don't care about mystique. I don't care about Tiger I don't care about who to author I care about the X-Men I know night crawler. I mean I mean Anybody who's like a main person right? I mean give me cyborg give me row give me game But give me night crawler don't just give me cards and rembo-bo things and mess Walter I don't care who the you know what I mean like that's watch it's like give me fucking beast like you know I mean like again everybody feels like they're a fucking And it's the let it's the we couldn't get that guy so we got that guy and I understand that these guys exist in the universe I'm not trying to say but it's just like it's just not a compelling thing of like okay What am I doing here like back to the auto thing like Mr. Sinister I never believed was not gonna be sinister in this game auto Octavius I did think for a second they might swerve me and then that and then when they didn't and he became doc I feel like oh man that was great and then it pays off even more when it's the you knew like you knew this like because

25:18That was the holy shit. I didn't think you knew yeah, Mr. Sinister just being a fucking bad guy Yeah, no shit. No definitely and then that's the thing is like there with all of the pins that oh there's a past of gene and and Logan to some extent and With Sinister being so involved in at that point in the story and we start hearing that stuff It very much is like all right. Well Sinister is puppeteering this like he's way more involved than even we as the audience understands at this point And then by the end of the game you realize yeah the entire thing has been Through the 30 years he's been fucking with Wolverine's memories to make him think Certain things happened in the past that didn't and kind of forcing him to relive Killing Phoenix over and over and over like breaking himself There's something interesting there But it gets so convoluted so quickly once they start actually like answering the questions And then they introduce apocalypse on top of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, this is just like there All right apocalypse and Phoenix have obviously some type of past history going on

26:19Um, but I don't think that they did a good job like making that clear and it's clear sequel set up right like of course I mean literally the post credit scene of this being Sabre tooth Coming back from the dead just like every character of this game does Um Centralated death strike, but she always could at any point um Going up to apocalypse and it's like you know the age of death is over an outstime for the age of war And it's like all right like I don't know that we ever see that we will never know and it's just like it is It's weird because it does that's where I would have imagined they're said not backspin but the Not post credits, but like kind of ending scene of of gene and Wolverine talking and then um Which you name colipso. Yeah, uh that whole setup. It's like oh It just Tmex kind of just feels like the version of X-Men in this world which I don't think is this the right call Like I'm with you. I'm just like, you know this group, but that's what you get when you do our telling stories about

27:22The early days of mutants and it's like this game is kind of the Mutant outbreak. This is the launch bad. Yeah, this is the launch day Um, yeah, I'm a little all over the place now But just like I want to jump to this to because it is something that I really love is the idea of dormant mutants I love the scene where mystique realizes that there's so few of them out there It's like they they see the like almost Surrey thing of like how many mutants are out there in the world? I'm like, dude, this is such a cool thing and having Walter Just be like I got a dormant that gene in me like I know I'm one of you. I'm one of you It's like that stuff is so interesting But then I feel like the helix stuff so quickly becoming the McGuffin that finds them allows them to become mutants and then Sentinels being introduced as this thing that kills mutants, but then now are things that are used for good Use them for good, but it's humans and I'm like wow we just jumped way too far way too fast like I feel like just sitting in the story of Like dormant mutants. I think is so much more interesting than

28:25Sentinel laser beams that are turning people either kill them returning them into mutants that there were But there's more dormant, but yeah, I don't know. That's this push and pull thing of like One of the Things is we've seen people critiquing and in lots of conversation about this game ours are critiques and you know Conversations included is just like what is the game? What what do we try what what are we doing with this Wolverine game? Is it a big action blockbuster? Is it a launch pad for just a new IP what I can't stop in even the conversations we're having in I know I already brought up a bit with the hand But like if we could have just contracted this made it a bit more It is Logan's story and we're with him through these things and it's just not it's what we're talking about the MCU movies Right if not everything needs to be a world-ending event And I know this wasn't but it was a world redefining event and it was you know Sentinels destroying things and when we come back from the dead Time has passed how much time is Logan's trying to figure out but like Sticks taken on a new identity and soup in a cave everybody's where you know what I mean it's like like

29:28Can we have kept this a little smaller and a little more emotionally? You know, I mean like when you bring in someone like Troy and Liam right and like let them Act let them do it let them have these conversations because I do think like when I think back to the X-Men movies right like what do you Everything's something different to some degree But I think of like Magneto and Charles right I think of you know Charles in Logan. I think about this Character I think of the movie Logan in general right of like let's give you a actual hey We are here feeling our feelings. It doesn't need to be Spider-man web-slinging non-stop action right whereas this one is you walk into Japan And I'm expecting to be able to go to the top of these buildings and do all these different things You can these very specific places like yeah, well fucking don't do that then give me boots on the ground Wolverine As we go through to do this don't give me so many monster closets of robot and into Terraport and I do think another highlight to your point is those smaller more character moments where we're In Magi-Pore and you go to Tiger's bar and are able to kind of understand the relationship between the Steak and Tiger

30:32And get to no saber tooth and you're past You know, but like that walking and even Walter. It's like another than act the way you expect them to based on the characters that they are Like these are they're all kind of new takes especially gene like this is a very very very different gene that you like at it all I mean no, I don't like and I think a lot of that comes down to my And I've said this forever with these insomnia games and I love insomnia games specifically the spider man games

46:18Sure, and I've watched most of those cartoons there are standout ones that I'm like I loved this version I loved this version and it's like this Wolverine as a character I'm cool with I think it was an interesting take I don't need him to show up in Wolverine into the Wolverine verse You know, yeah, I would not be clamoring for that and it's because I just don't think that this game Was strong enough to make me believe it him in the way that I see insomniac spider-man show up in into the spider-verse And it's like yes, yes, we know that Peter and we love that Peter so um, I think that it's a Story that works it doesn't blow my skirt up and I think that the story is better than a handful of X-Men movie stories You know like I would go there. I wouldn't go as far as saying over half of them, but like I would have to think about it Right, like I think it's somewhere in that pack um So I mean, I mean, it's one of those you know, I was lowest on the scale with a five five mediocre on ours And I I would recommend you don't play it. I wouldn't you know, I mean like it's again not bad I just think that in the season we're in

47:21We're littered with $70 games all these different things like I just don't think this is something you need to play in as we keep going Like oh, we're not gonna see that followed up on like I'm more worried about seeing Wolverine pop up in spider-man 3 Like you know what I mean like I'm just keep keep all that over there. Let's not really bring it in and maybe he'd be fine in a punisher kind of situation where he's just in there doing his thing And maybe that would make sense to see here I am in my red and blue spider suit and there's this bright yellow Wolverine and we're doing something But again, it would also feel very not worth because he's gonna get introduced it spider-man's not gonna know who he is And what's going on here and what are we doing like I mean it is crazy to just think about how much theorizing we've Had over the last five years since this game has been announced of How much insomniac world are we gonna get here? How much building an X-Men world are we gonna get there and the answer is In any clear way zero There's a lot of Easter eggs. There's a daily bugle. There's like yes, it is in the world But it's like oh wow they really put their foot down and we're like no we're gonna tell us a singular story It's gonna be this it's gonna be its own thing and I good on them

Like you can't be that I Know it's a stupid thing to be hung up on but like for my entire life saber tooth is a bad guy And then we get here and it's like he's acting like an asshole bad guy like Why would I why would Essex keep him around? There's a million other people that could be strong And I know there aren't there's actually a few mutants but like whatever we got Wolverine Maybe we didn't bring this assholes because Sabotooth like pissing on pillows You know what I mean? You know what I mean? Like why are we hanging out with this guy? Why is this guy getting the anyways anyway? So we do that for a while and then yeah from there We get the call about Jean Grey or there's a thing going on. We're gonna go after tracks

50:28We go over there. He's got a group full of mutants We open that fucking thing up. Guess what there it is then Jean Grey shows up and leaches there You know that means it's bothered me Deborah Wilson's there too Callisto, huh? How much Deborah Wilson was caught from this game? You don't put her in there and have this little of Deborah Wilson. I feel I digress I mean in terms of talking you're doing yeah She's a meadow wall or put some respect on the game Fallen order and all that just So we get him out of there. We bring everybody back to the Essex house. Yeah, we're all gonna hang out here And Wolverine's like it's pretty fucking crowded after he does a fucking Easter egg hunt to try to find Leach I should go Leach for Halloween you know I need to Anyways, they go to the cabin and then they drink some whiskey and then there's a thing all no trash Found it. He just fucking nuxus plays kills leach. Ah, I remember about it. So now we go after tracks again This is where we fight the Sentinel eventually. This is where trash thinks he's got it all at handle He's like oh blah blah blah and then fucking Essex shows up and just yakes him from through the floor of the thing

51:30Which was cool and brings him over and starts breaking his arms and spending room Oh pause you just because they're a couple cool things. I love that. It's like I was really into and it's a classic thing with the X-Men stories but this X-Men not existing here yet. So we're not expecting heroes to come in and save the day I liked the the setup of what trash was doing of building the sentinels and early on you get into this place That's clearly like a test ground. Oh, yeah, all the dead bodies did a bunch of dead bodies and they're testing like how to Identify mutants how to kill mutants and how to inhibit them with these colors. Yeah That shit's cool as hell and I feel like it had a pretty sick setup to then get to this point where yeah They leave you all that one. That when we were in that original thing and like the test facility and like we saw like oh man This guy got it off and let his ice powers out of like yeah Okay, that's good. That's a good reference. What's that a fucking card that says oh, I owe you one remeber the bow come what's the 30 year thing that you started with? So the it starts 30 years ago and it's Wolverine Farrell like out in a forest

We get a gimme shim shini gami Yes And then uh they run around in the fucking The helix engine, but it's just a casket. Who got that thing going on Uh lady death strikes there right. I'm probably oh yeah, we're here a long time. So a lot goes on There's a lot of fighting a lot of people a lot of reveals of like all right waltzers here and what's working with them and it's like Oh shit, it's like well waltzers dead side again this damn helix thing now. He just wants to be immune so bad

54:33He doesn't know what he's gonna turn into I don't think he would like to get it. It's like Nick with his tall guy machine It's a squat. That's a liquid dude too. Okay Uh, and then that's done a lot of moments in this game of Wolverine like Getting really fucked up because they're just like, oh he heals and they from the jump they show that and Couple cool game played mechanics of that like the the last stand or whatever. Yeah, that is that is cool Um, but we get early or than this in the plot But we get him kind of doing the Metal Gear Solid Michael. Yeah, and it's like Wow, we do this really early and it just gameplay wise. I was like I I'm not feeling anything like remember how we felt in Metal Gear Solid 4

They're either becoming mutants or just becoming dust or whatever That was cool You know, Mystique of course pissed off. She's living as some guy eating soup soup girl. We call her She gets mad at Logan. She kicks him out Then yeah, we catch up to red and then we go and have the we go to we go to fight Essex I'm just gonna jump there. He's fucking full-out Mr. Sinister now in the suit Gemini's head everything else and I'll say it. I do not like dark design I don't like the costume design for a lot of the insomnia characters And I want it clear. I love the main character Spider-Man suit Wolverine suit love. Yeah, no, no, it's fucking love them white spider. I fucking love it Like I'm a huge fan you take the mask off and I think we start getting a lot more problems Just like the look kind of doesn't sit right with me, especially after the the recast
