ESAES has strengthened into a category 3 hurricane and is now expected to make landfought tonight on McOff Coast around Pensacola, Florida. States of emergency have been issued in parts of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, as evacuations get underway. Expect huge power outages up to 9 feet of storm surge, up to 15 inches of rain and sudden tornadoes along the coast. The National Hurricane Center says tropical storm force winds are reaching the coast along the Florida Panhandle, as well as southern Alabama, as ESAES closes in. Meanwhile in Central America, a 7.7 earthquake just struck Panama, according to the US Geological Survey. The US she says some casualties are possible and extensive damage is probable.
Several aftershocks have been reported near the epicenter. Now to new developments on a coal pilot's hijacking attempts on a fly-doubby flight last week. A preliminary investigation found the suspect allegedly planned to crash the plane into Israel's Hungarian airport and was inspired by the 9-11 attacks. Investigators from the United Arab Emirates Attorney General say the attacks motivated him to pursue an aviation career. Preliminary findings also say that the suspect previously took part in two flights to Bengurian to become familiar with the route and airport in preparation for the attack. The investigation found the coal pilot allegedly turned to terrorism in 2017, while studying in Australia. Driven by extremist publications and online videos that praised suicide attacks. As far as fly-doubby's recruitment procedures, the probe found the suspect met the professional and security requirements to be employed, including holding a pilot's license as a certificate of good conduct and completing the necessary exams.
New York City will not stand by, while ICE agents shoot New Yorkers. That's New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani speaking last night near the site where federal immigration agents shot in wounded a man in the Bronx. Federal officials say the shooting happened during an enforcement operation. The alleged at 28-year-old Oscar Bergall from the Dominican Republic was targeted because of prior arrests and gang ties. His five-year-old was in the backseat of his car when agents opened fire. The associate director of ICE says officers injured Bergall after he allegedly quote, weaponized his vehicle and accelerated towards two officers. Bergall is now in federal custody. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tish said his child was not injured. And Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne Mullin says agents didn't know the child was in the car. Two agents were also injured and have since been released from the hospital, according to a law enforcement source. Local leaders including New York Governor Kathy Holtgill are calling for an independent investigation into the shooting.
Setting up fans more in the passing of a beloved Chicago Bears legend. The Pentagon said it will live stream the military's first firing squad execution in decades. In an interview to fence secretary P. Texeth Vow to let the public watch the man who killed 13 people in a 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood be executed at the same base in Texas where he carried out the massacre. President Donald Trump approved the execution and had this reaction at a White House event today. He deserves a killed and wounded many, many people, many acres. Congressional lawmakers on both sides of the aisle condemned the plan to let the public watch the execution. And the live stream could violate military regulations governing capital punishment. Football doesn't own me a thing, but I owe my whole life to it. Football legend Iron Mike Dittga has died at the age of 86. He's known for winning NFL titles as a player and coach with the Chicago Bears. And for his fiery temper.
Dittga's family announced the death on Friday in a statement saying Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever. After retiring as a coach, Dittga wore several hats, including rest of the return and TV personality. He was also an advocate for improved medical and retirement benefits for former players.
