And this episode of the NBA Draft, the junkies podcast, it is a Wednesday. So that means it is mail bag Wednesday. You ask and we answer. So we are going to talk about the 2026, 27, rookie of the year race, who's going to be the favorite to win. We're going to talk about Border League, which is a must-see event if you love high school grassroots basketball. And of course, one of the hottest topics in draft circles is the 2027 NBA Draft. Is it really that bad of a class? So are we just overreacting? So we are going to discuss that. And more in this episode of the NBA Draft, junkies podcast. What is up? What is up? This is the NBA Draft, sticky podcast live at 10 o'clock. Black and Army host, Rafael Barlow along with my co-host, James Barlow.
Like I mentioned that this is mail bag Wednesday. This is something that we plan on doing every Wednesday. I love the fact that we get to interact with the audience on YouTube. When I decided to come back into this conscience space, I wanted to do something different. And that's why chose to go live at 10 o'clock. Man, I want this to be like the 10 o'clock news. I want this to be like sports during the sense. You know at 10 o'clock that the Barlow brothers are going to be on. You're going to hear their take. So that's why we decided to go attend, do it live every night. And then on Wednesdays, since the listeners are such a big part of the content, we want to just leave it open for the listeners to ask us some questions. But before we get started, man, how was your day to day, James? Long day, man, but no complaints. I know you don't like to hear me in my everyday. Well, ground is good on speech, but it really is, man. How's your day?
Long, long. Still, I don't say jet lag because I wasn't on a jet. Still adjusting to 20 hours in a car over two days and just getting right back into it and getting into work and yeah, man, just trained content and trying to make this the best show possible. All right. First question we got from my man, Adrian. He says, what are your season predictions? Oh man, he put us on the spot earlier. So I'll skip 35, 25, MVP, rookie of the year, champs, all NBA. Thank this. You want to go first? Now let you go first, man. This man here, right? I'm looking to say MVP. I'm going to go with Luca. You think the lakers are going to be good enough? They should be a top five seed in the West.
Could be. Can that get you MVP? If he's average in 33? I mean, he's eight and eight. Yeah. I'm going to see why not. Every year he has MVP like numbers. But I mean, you got to think I'm going to win me. I think that's the guy that they want. Yeah, I'm going to go with win B. Voter fatigue is real though for Luca. But he's never won though. I'm going to say for Yokech in SGA. So I think I mean, win B is definitely a choice. I think Anthony Edwards has a chance this year and also Luca. I think those are going to be the top three guys. Again, obviously we got that silly one. Not silly. We got that 65 game limit. But I think it's going to be up to those three. What can you and Yannis can be good and Yannis can get in there?
I don't know if I believe in Miami, man. I don't know how Yannis and BAM are going to coexist on the offense. And defensively, they're going to be amazing. But on the offense and in Yannis wants to dribble. BAM kind of wants to put the ball on the ground too. And then the shooting around them. Clay is old. He got him hard away. Junior. I just have questions how it's going to fit offensively. Yannis is an isolation post. He doesn't want to roll. Yeah, I just want to figure out. I want to see how that works. Rookie at a year. So my Rookie at a year race. I think Cameron Boone is going to have a chance. I legit think Yaxl has a chance to win Rookie of the year. At least statistically, you know, you might have had that other stuff going on as far as, you know, whatever. But Yaxl, do I think AJ can win Rookie of the year?
AJ has a talent too. Well, that's a lot of dudes on that team. And I want to see how that works with those guys. Oh, well. I think Mike Hill Brown has an opportunity to win Rookie of the year. Or be first team or Rookie. Kila Wilson is going to have his opportunities as well. I think that this might be the most wide open Rookie of the year race we've had in a while. Florida has some two man races for some time, but I think this is going to be a wide open race. Because this class is that strong. Champs. I hold on. I'm off. I'm off. I go ahead. I think it a year. I think you might have to go with Boozler. The team is going to be his. And yeah, I just think you got to go with Boozler. He's going to play a lot of minutes. He's going to be, he should be the first option. I think that Kila Wilson has as a chance, but
he definitely has a chance for sure. But like, yeah, I just think Memphis has really nothing to to play for other than, hey man, let's just let's just make Boozler that guy. Darren Peterson. It's it's almost like AJ. Like not because of the talent. It's because there's a lot of guys on that team, you know, as far as Rookie of the year really comes down to who's going to have the highest usage. Yeah. And is Darren Peterson as talented as he is going to have, is he going to have the same level of usage as Cameron Boozler when Darren Peterson is playing. Kionte fresh off with PHA. Triple J, Larry Markin and Ace Bailey feel like he needs to, you know, show improve. Like, that's why I don't say Darren Peterson. That's why like even with AJ, yep, there's going to be, you know, Trayon's going to have to ball in his hands. Anthony Davis is going to have to ball in his hands as long as he's available. Now Anthony Davis is, you know, out forever reason.
Then I think AJ gets a boost. And, you know, obviously he's talented enough to be in there. But what like I said, Rookie of the years is basically with the, the gamblers on Twitter call a PR-A race points rebound. And that's to me screams Cameron Boozler because he's the guy on that team. Yeah. MVP. I'm going to go win. Be Rookie of the year. I'm going to go Boozler champs. I'm going to go with a healthy thunder team. I mean, you got to think that, um, William should be back. I mean, he wasn't healthy last year. He was missing a lot of time. So you have to think AJ Mitchell should be better. Chat should make some gradual until chat runs into that boy. I mean, he had a whole summer to, to, to, man, he's had a whole says you said he won.
He won the year before. So you know what I mean? So he won. Yeah. SGA. I mean, he just, he's going to do what he does. I just think the players around him have a chance to get better. I think Kason can make a leap. So yeah, he's going to play tomorrow. Yeah, I don't know. I did want him. I think so. So yeah, I would go to thunder. All NBA. Now that's, that's the hardest question. Who's going to qualify? Who's going to get, who's going to get to 65 games? All right, let's just take out, take out the whole 65 game rule. And everyone is, even though it's nearly impossible. First team all NBA, if everyone plays their games, I got to go. And then there's no positions. It's five, five guys. I'm old school. I'm still going to go positions. Well, yeah, never mind. I'm going to go Wimbee, Yolkish, Luca, SGA, and Anthony Edwards. So I'm pretty sure I left somebody very important now.
I think so. I agree with you there. Let's see what Jason Taylor's leg looks like. He's got a chance. You know, this should be a bounce back. My road dog left me. Used to be my dog. So we'll see how that goes for him. But yeah, I think that's the problem. I was left to the end. Yeah, scream right or die. I thought you down with me. But, uh, Yannis should be there too. Let's always forget about Yannis. I'm just going to quit. Yeah. Somebody on the sixers should make second team. No, no way. Somebody has to. If they win enough games, somebody has to. But like I said a couple days ago, let's create a, I've never seen a team where there's like three dudes average over 26 points of game all collected and coming together on one team. And then K to be there. K should be there. Yeah, but that's my first team. If everybody's healthy, I think it's going to be hard to go against. I didn't even talk about Brunson.
So yeah. Yeah, I would say, okay, C is the champ though. I'm not a okay C guy. I don't know why. I just, I don't know. I guess because you know, when Luca was with Dallas, I heavily rooted against okay C because I was going for the mask. All right. Next question. I'm probably rough. I don't know. You go ahead and take that one. And then I like, Nure and Rads next question about Christian Ham and go ahead. Mario, St. Supery thoughts. I thought it was bogus how you build on Gonzaga. So late in the summer, you know, they were planning on him being there. And then he just left to go home. I mean, you know, for whatever reasons. But I just didn't like how he did it. So late in the summer. And they were, they had a hole at point. Gar, I don't even, did they fill it? No, does it even lead? Yeah. Come here. But is he clear? Like, I don't know who's officially cleared. He may have been clear for a couple of weeks. Who knows? But I thought Duny Johnson was going to reclass team hero.
I was doing these, I think he's going to be 19 this fall. Slash winter. I know he committed to Gonzaga super early. And he committed before this past YBL season. I thought he was going to pull the trigger. Especially when it's saying super laugh. But I guess I don't know. I've watched people for a while. He was a teammate of a friend of mine before he went to college. I mean, he's got game. No doubt. He's got game. It's made sound crazy. But his name makes his game. You know, I mean, his name is St. Super. That's, you're going to remember hell. But now he's, he's like a Spanish point guard. He's got a little flavor to his game. I don't think he's an NBA prospect though. Well, I shouldn't say that. I think he's an NBA prospect. I don't think he's an NBA guy that's going to go on a stick. And I think there were more minutes available for him at Agamzaga.
All right. Which one did you want to Christian Hammond? All right. No wonder Rast is how do you guys view Christian Hammond as a prospect? Or do you even see him as one? That's the James question. So he definitely is saying a clearer guy when I was doing my portal work. I thought he was good. But I didn't see him as an NBA prospect. I know he's an insky state now. Why not? Yeah. I think I have questions about his feel as a playmaker. And even that game against Kentucky like, he was all right. That was the drawn to blank moment. I was just drafted by the Raptors. He did all the heavy lifting. Oh, but Christian Hammond, yeah. I liked him. I had a high major grade on him. And him actually going to insky state makes sense. Because that's what I think what kind of high major guard he is.
But I don't know if he's an NBA prosper. Here's my thing. Why leave Santa Clara? You have to assume money. An NIL played a role. But Santa Clara has had a better track record recently of producing NBA players than in sea state. You can compare them to a lot of the power five schools. I mean, you had, I mean, what? J.L. Williams. Hey, what's the kid's name? The guy that Toronto drafted. What's my guy's name? Man, I can't even use Alex. Oh my god. No. But J.L. Williams, they had a lot of things. I'm going to remember the name. The Graves. Graves. Alan Graves. Alan Graves. Pods. Yes. You know what I mean? Like, Pajimski, that is. I just think like Santa Clara has,
they got a blueprint. Like they're getting guys to the league. I mean, Hammond, he had a good year. There's a Hammond. Yeah, Hammond. Yeah, I think you shot 39% from three. 39% from three on four tips of game. Yeah, man, he's, I would have stayed. I would say, I wouldn't have easy for me to say. I don't know what that NIO bag was looking like. But I just think like that stage on Santa Clara is has proven to get guys to the league. Guys that didn't have a lot of buzz and fanfare coming into the season. So yeah. But who knows? Next one. Who's one? I think Mika will go top 10 teams will see a seven foot athlete with shooting upside and gush. I don't know what gush is. Gush means like they like him. Oh, and gush. That sounds like valley girl. I don't know about the shooting upside.
So I did some numbers. And from the time. So over like, I mean, this is over a collection like a large scale of events and games from the Baltic Sea Cup, you 16 Baltic Sea Cup to the Nordic 16 U champion. Like chips. I'd go deep feeble 16 U. Just all these events when he was at Sunrise Christian, the ANG teams, Finland, Arizona Compass, partisan. He is a career. Let me pull this up. He is a career. 39% shooter. That's from a field now from three from the field. 25% from three. Yeah, I don't I don't see the shooting upside. I will say like yeah, he had that stretch at what was it?
The U 16s at a peace jam. Where he shot lights out for stretch for Brad Bill. For Brad Bill, but the numbers don't support real shooting upside. So, you know, I mean, maybe he does go top 10. His classes are wide open. Maybe he, you know, somebody does see the seven foot athletic guy that's a play finished shirt, weak side shot block or maybe someone thinks that they can turn him into, you know, a carolinkle type, you know, my comparison is for him NBA comparison. What's that Larry Nance without the passing? Okay, not as physically, you know, Larry Nance is more physical. Larry Nance is a better rebounder. He's a better rebounder. Meek is not a great rebounder for his size and athleticism. He's a guy that just relies on trying to out jump guy. He's not boxing out. So, let's see.
Kayla Wilson going to have a lot of run for Ricky the year too. Yeah, I definitely think that he's going to be in the run at first. He's more rookie. I like Kayla Wilson because he's got this chip on his shoulder. He's probably got a rotating changing on his on his on his phone where Darryl Peterson's the face on one day. AJ's the next day. I love that he yeah, that he like openly talks about the chips on his shoulder and and he takes it personal for schools that didn't recruit him and we'll see if that three point shooting that he shot in some relief is sustainable. What was the stat he had in some relief? That was just like he shot like he shot like 55% from the free throw line. Yeah, but he shot like 40 something from three. And the year is like five turn. I mean, you know, turn. Yeah, I knew it was crazy. And some relief. Yeah, I just think like man, he's going to have some really, really good flashes.
But one of my concerns with him was like the flashes are allowed. But there are still some moments where he seemed really raw and he could be sped up and the turnovers. And I think he's the guy that's going to get off to a hot start that hot first, second week, maybe first month. And then teams are going to figure out like this what he does and those turnovers are going to they're going to they're going to be piling up. So I think he's going to be exciting. I'm going to be between Boozard Wilson because they have the ball more than every other rookie. Who's the boys? Like Gidey's going to get on the ball for sure. But Mada Scott something to prove he should be. Mada Scott something to prove. He's here three for him, which means he should be what extension eligible next summer. Yeah. Yeah. DP not mentioned. Yeah, he's he's got a he's got a situation where he's not going to be given the keys. And that's what was interesting about this draft. The first pick you can't say that he's going to be given the keys to just do what he does, you know.
He's in a situation where he's probably for the first time in his life going to other than Team USA. But maybe be like the third option. He's going to have to play off the catch. You know, DARREN's in a situation where they just paid some one that plays pretty much the same position in my opinion, and Kionte George, 155 million. What happens if Kionte proves to be, you know, the starter, but then does DARREN and Ace Bailey fight it out for that second second spot in a starting lineup? That's going to be very interesting there. You're going to start DARREN. You're the third pick. They're going to start him, but second pick. True. Yeah, they're going to they're going to I imagine they're going to start both of those guys. But what if Ace is, he looked bigger, what if Ace improves? And he's the ace that people thought could, you know, do you see a world where they go all offense and go Kionte, DPA,
Ace, Larry and Triple J and say, you got it outscore us? Finishing, yeah, starting, no. They start, you know, circuits, yeah. But in closing minutes, which really should be more important, I can see it happen. Shut out to everybody in the chat, 266 and counting. Get this right here, Ralph. Torrey. Look, this one out. Peterson has too many. I had him for touches. The improvement on Bullseye's three point jumper from college to summer league is crazy. So if you listen to the audio, I'm just reading the, I'm just reading. I'm just reading. I like 40% in college. So from three. Yeah. Shut them all well. And he said, he told somebody that too. He's like, well, what you mean? I should have 40% from three. I'm like five attempts. He did so much in college that I think people really underestimated how good of a shooter he was. Yeah. That's me. Oh, Torrey or Y'all, I know, I know the James Gansk. Y'all.
All day. Torrey's doing some raw chicken, man. I'm looking forward to seeing him this year. I had a fact, I just ran his, I am G film back from last scholastic season and he's still very, very much raw. Y'all is legit. Y'all is ready. I cast Y'all right now show up. Show up to campus, buddy. Yeah, do amazing. James believes, Y'all come again. Tell you it's the number one prospect in the world. Earth. In the world, Craig. Yeah, in the world, Craig. All right. Hostway Gonzalez, 5892. You just need Chet to turn it to a pumpkin against Wimby. Boy, you see that meme where they had the two dogs in traffic and the one is looking straight ahead and the other one is looking at the dog. Chet, let's the dog looking straight ahead when he saw Wimby, man. He didn't want no parts of that game six, man. That was, I feel bad for him, man.
Well, here's one. Who's the next star to request a trade? What's the star? All star, superstar. Request a trade. This is Daren. This is Dalen Deren. Is he a star? 19-10, all NBA. All star. Window Carter. All five stars of star. Haskell and do Carter. We think they can start. I got one for you, Ralph. Zion Williamson. Quistar trade this year. You think so? Yes. I think Zion is out of, not wishing his own Pelican fans. I really like Zion. I've been a fan. I still believe one day is going to work. I think this is the year that you move on from Zion. Do they move on from him or does he ask out? He doesn't seem like the type to ask out.
I mean, he owes the franchise so much. He should. But I think this is the year. He seems like he likes New Orleans. Didn't they have some pictures of him in the hood last year? Like posted them. I'm sorry. That's basketball community outreach. That's NBA cares. That's seeing like he was out there on his own. And the trenches. NBA cares event. Not I. He was building the habitat for humanity house. Man, man. Come on now. But where to? Like Zion is tricky, man. I think he's tricky multiple ways. You got the injury concerns. You have the position of fit. I've always said that I think Zion is a four. But to maximize him, you need to find a rebounding, rim protecting, floor spacing,
five. And I don't know where it might be the only one. Clillware. I mean, Miles Turner would give you the rim protection. He had a floor spacing, but not the rebounding. Triple J would give you the floor spacing and the rim protection. Not the rebounding. Yeah. And then because here's the thing, if you are a floor spacer, that means you're not going to be on the offensive glass. So that's going to take away from your rebounding numbers. It is, but you know, like the best rebounders can get you two, three off into three off into the game. So that kind of helps your, you know, just your basic accounting stats. But if you're spacing the floor, then you're not going to be on the offensive glass. So if you grab, you know, seven defensive rebounds a game, then you look like a weak rebounder. So I don't, I don't know a good fit for Zion. And I think right now he doesn't even have like, I mean, he's still got some of it,
but he doesn't have the same box office appeal, where an owner would be like, he's going to come in and just like, you know, sell tickets. Because early in his career, man, a Pelicans ticket was a little difficult to get. It was one of those games when, when teams were selling like a flex pack, it was like, yeah, you know, LeBron Zion, you know, it's always like the Knicks or whoever now. It's kind of like Pelicans, you know, that's, that's the game where, you know, we, you know, we, we hosting like a high school night or something like that. Will we get a ticket to the high school kid or something? I don't know how it works, but if I'm going to the state, I'm calling every day. Why not? You have no future. You might as well swing for Zion, right? Who does who does the Pelicans want? Who not Pelicans don't seem to care. They'll take any small forward and every small forward. I mean, they just cashed out a bit of the math thread. I mean, I don't, I don't know what they're doing. He didn't get paid. I mean, but he's on the team.
You got him. He got paid. He got like 16. Yeah, with him, they pay you to the big bay. 355, I think. That's the big bay. They pay you to the big bay. I mean, yeah, sure, math turns on the, you know, whatever kind of deal. You still got trade Murphy. He's getting paid. Like, how many wings do you need? They still got herb jumps. They got herb jumps. If I'm a team, I'm rating that pantry somehow. I'm like, look, y'all got too many like good pieces that aren't helping you out. And they still got the John Tamerie. They still got the John Tamerie. They got my guy Jeremiah Fears, who as soon as they let him lose, he's a 20 point for game score in the NBA. Pre-Jewer, my fear is, man. Nice and a good situation. He's in a great situation. Hey, man, he can be a 20 point for game guy this year once the decks get cleared. So, and he's younger than he's, he's old enough to be in this class. Mike Jones talking about me, commander, the form is good. He can't improve.
Former to me is overrated. It's all about touch. Ben Wallace, his form looked feathery. He had full. So, yeah, the ball is fair. So, I don't care about form. To me, it's all about touch. It's a touch soft. And this is why, and I thought about this, when I was talking about Hugo Yimga yesterday, how he improved as a shooter, to me, the growth was incredible, but he always had a soft touch around the rim. Like, that was this thing when he got the ball on the post because he wasn't dunking. It was soft touch finishes. And I mean, he has the touch where he can bang, like, it sounds crazy. So, don't let clip this up and make it sound weird. But some guys can't be physical and bang and then finish with a soft touch. If they make it a hard shoulder move, then a shot comes off hard. Hugo was a guy that could, you know, create initiate contact, strong move, but finish soft.
So, with that being said, I'm not that surprised that he turned out to be a good shooter. Just how fast that was surprising. I don't know if Mika has great touch because he's not like a great free throw shooter either. All right, Hose Wiggins, I was again. Who was a rookie this year based on the team? They were drafted. Situation that would make an impact. You believe it isn't being talked about enough? Yaks. Yeah, man, I think Yaks was in a great situation. Yaks was going to play all 82. You're going to start all 82. I think he's going to put up, he's going to have the same statistical impact that he had at Michigan, which was what? 15, 5, 3 assists, some still, some bars. I think Yaks was in a great situation. Like, him and Car. You think so? You think he's going to, I mean, J.J.C. wasn't going to start 5 white guys. So,
can't record as it says, Quinn Grimes, Quinn Grimes, or who's the, who is the white guy? L'Ravia, who? Vando. No, you can't start Vando. Hey, him and Luca, they got to be, I think they might be like best friends. You can't, you can't play, you can't play Vando and Kessler together. You may not be able to, but he said he's not, you say he's not starting to white guy. So it's got to be a brother. So I'm saying, but you can't, there might be Vando because there was a video when the Lakers were in Slovenia and the whole team was on the bus and Vando pulled up to the gym in the car with Luca. You think Vando might be Slovenian here pretty soon? He's going to get the handy Anthony Randolph Passport. That was my man's name. That just got his side showbomb. Jackson Hade? Yeah. I forgot he plays for the jazz. I did too. I saw him in the video.
I was like, all he does play for the jazz. Rookie drafted that will make an impact. You believe isn't being a talker? I don't know. I think that that has been, well, I think Keen Wagler's Rookie year looks a lot better today than it did two weeks ago when you can find out what you laughing, man. Why would you find it? I'm going to play a lot. Well, we knew Bradley Bill was going to be in and out but Brandon Ingram being in and out. And you know, and what everything that's happening with the team. Yeah, his career looks really good. He's not going to shoot the ball well. I don't think but I, you know, he'll, I think he will have all the reps to get used to the NBA game. Who else? Burries? No. If too many guys in the way. Not because of Burries but again, like he's in the worst situation. Yeah, but I think they're going to clear some of those guys out. Now I think they are. I don't know how.
Does that make sense? Yes. I don't know who's going to take Trent 64 million. He rose a hometown guy. So maybe they want to keep him a little bit just to sell some tickets. I don't think Porter Jr. has much value just based off of his history. And, you know, you bring him in and people are going to bring up the past. It's kind of like you just keep him there and because if he gets moved, the whole situation comes up all over. Man, oh, my eyes bridges took that picture. Immediately that he posted the photos of his child's mother. You just not running away from that stuff. Let me see. Maybe Graves? There's a thing though. Toronto's got a, I mean, they just got brought in. And then, why? Now, Graves can play the four and five, but why is not going to play 65 games? That's cool. But what was Scotty Barnes is going to play three, four, whatever position he wants to play.
They got RJ Barrett. He's going to play two, three, four. Jacoby Watters is going to play two. Conrad Boy was going to play four or five. They can't get really yuck up portal for whatever reason. He's going to play the five. It's my my my my my my my my my my my my no, he's over here in LA. That's yeah, yeah. What is he? Does he count as not me a white? May from may caught the caucus mountains, man, that's is that's white white. Yeah, but you know, last name, but he got a fade, but I mean, like, that's the original Caucasian right there. He like black women too. Yeah, that's true, but I don't know. I don't know why JJ even said that. I mean, I get the, you know, like, I, JJ, you know, Twitter, man, I did definitely JJ didn't got to be on Twitter just because I, you know, it's like I'm going to make her sign all those guys, you know, and then they show like the roster of Luca and Austin Reeves and Jake Larevian and Kessler and then they
was called they like signed them all like within this, it was all within a day or two. It was just like, oh my god, after white guy. Yeah, so it's like, well, really, the only sign I mean, Austin was, you know, he's coming back. Kessler, who else did they sign? That was like, Mammal. Yeah, it was Mammal and Kessler, but they traded away LeBron. They got rid of the DeAndre Aiden. I mean, you know, the internet going right with everything. Yeah, I mean, because they brought in, you know, it's just the internet because they brought in sexton and grimes and I feel like they brought in somebody else, but they just started on. Yeah, they still got no linkers. Don't connect. I hope he has a good year. All right, here's a question for you. Ivan Keresnikov or Mari Allen, who do you go? Who do you got if you're in the war room? I think it's Kurt Sinkov. Kurt Sinkov, yeah. Keresnikov, I don't know, Boxer something like that. Yeah, yeah. Uh, the Russian German.
Man, that's what's the pride throwing you off. I'm gonna go with Mari Allen. I think, I think, Kurt Sinkov, he's going to be a high level defender, great energy. His jump shot kind of shaky, but he's going to get fouled. He's going to score. I think, Kurt Sinkov's going to potentially lead that team in scoring this year. Arizona, I think, I'm Mari Allen is going to be a lot of what I said in the last part. The stuff that we really thought on Denzel Valentine was going to do, just do everything. Shoot, pass, score, rebound, make plays, just Mari Allen is just six, six. That's okay, but Mari Allen, yeah, I think he's going to have a big year for Adam Allen. I think, Mari Allen might be a lot of repicked this year. You know what I'm saying, Darren Peterson is better than Keanu Tehran. Let's be able to handle that one, Rob. I disagree. I really disagree on that one.
I mean, maybe because I like Keanu Tehran, and you know, me and James was beefing all year over AJ, versus DP. But I like, I like Keanu Tehran. Here's the reason. If Keanu Tehran didn't put on those 20 pounds at Baylor, and he wasn't like the 16th pick, I think he would have been a top five pick in that draft. And we wouldn't be talking about his production as being surprising. Because he was all like, what he did, what you taught last year was this Keanu Tehran, he's always been. It's just that Baylor, they had him playing the three. He was heavier than normal. So he's exactly who I thought he would be. It's just, it looks like it caught people by surprise because he wasn't a lottery pick. Get this one for me. Sheriff Malago. My California sources tell me that sheriff is that guy. And he is great.
I told you. I told you he is. 74. I think he's 74. And you know, everybody over 71 is going to get that Wimbee booths, right? Because you were trying to figure out who's going to stop Wimbee. But the thing is with Sheriff and he's playing in the border league, I believe this weekend, right? So that's going to be, I want to see him, but it was unfair as him and y'all and come of got to are going to be in the same team. I don't know how you're going to score on them, man. No, Leo. See, guards are going to be doing straight. You turned. You beat your man off the dribble and you got to turn around and see them. You got to get an idea how you score on those two. At least get a layup because Y'all is already an amazing shot blocker. He's 71. He didn't move like he's 71 and sheriff is really 74. And yeah, good, good looks going on them. But now I'm definitely he's one of the guys that I have, um, highlighting to watch this weekend.
I mean, obviously, you know, border league is, it's great. But definitely want to see what sheriff is. He set out his last summer. He wasn't hurt. I know the rumor was like, he might know. He wasn't hurt. He just didn't play. They kept them home so he can work out. So we'll see. But the Cali plug said he looks legit. And one of my other guys, like, yeah, he's really good. So I'm looking for him. Here's the one I just thought about going back to the question about, which rookie that would not make an impact when I've been talked about enough. I got a sneaky sneaky. Are you going to say who I think? I hope not that it wouldn't surprise me if he just all of a sudden looks like a star in this role. I already know you're not. He's not exactly how it's going to say. But then again, like, he is the guy that you watch like video clips and how he's like, oh, he, he called. Yeah, yeah. So, um, but yeah, like if he's,
if he's just like running the floor and I mean, he was definitely rebounded. And then I think the Celtics need some help and he comes in and starts. Yeah, that that could be the guy because he could be that rookie that comes along late and has an impact and like a playoff game. Yeah. All right, let's let's get some. Oh, here's one. Joe Dumar says he expects the pills to be in the playoffs. I mean, I think he has to say that. Like, I can't. I think you just have to say that. And I do Mars is in a situation where no matter what he says, I just think it's going to be the situation where just people are going to pile on. Like, I just thought he was completely unfairly criticized for that, you know, the draft day trade where they basically was that they got Derek Queen for Kingston. Yeah. So Derek Queen was really good. He was Kingston. Yeah, Derek Queen was great. He led the rookies in rebounds.
My little Edmund assists as well. He's going to have a big year. Derek Queen might be my early most improved player. You're not going to hear me saying anything wrong about Derek Queen. They said he was working out with Deandre Jordan at 5 a.m. Like, you know, let me say that if the pelicans are a playoff team, it's because Zion went back to what year was that that they should have beat the day. He got hurt in overtime when he was beat by Anthony Davis and LeBron. That you had. See Jim McCollum and Brandon. I have to play. I think he played 70 games that year. And at 324. Yeah, the hamstring injury. If he goes back to that level, they have a chance. But who's the Brandon Ingram and Cijen McCollum around him if he's going to play at high level? But you got to think, man, Zion, his sophomore year here is second year in a league. He here is 27, man.
Like, that dude is cold. He just, I don't know, man. He looked different. He got like a jawline and shit. Like, he looked like he lost his eyes. And they say he's down to 271, man. Yeah. All right, here's one. Well, there's Portland to a micron or even less than make the playoff. Isn't he one of them? Yeah, he's signed up. All right, is this the thing? This is what makes the NBA challenging is because I feel like the owner in Portland has completely taken advantage of the fact that there's only 30 of these jobs in the world. Right? A first time head coach is going to take it because one, to get to that level, you have to have irrational confidence. So I'm sure Nory feels like I can come in there. I can turn it around. It's not like I got a young team. I got Vets to lean on. So he took the risk of not having a lot of security.
But at the same time, even though it's probably the lowest pay job in the NBA, you got to take a lot of money where you get to be the head coach of the NBA team. Unfortunately, I just feel like the owner's taken advantage of it. And I think that happens in sports across all over. You got these teams that are worth billions of dollars, but they make interns or young people work for free. Not only that, man, they make the stay make taxpayers build these arenas too. You got staff members that are struggling, but people are trying to decide like, man, I'm working for NBA team. It's hard to get in. But I'm taking no money. So I mean, I've heard stories of dudes like really living in like the facility. And then the one just get rid of the readers? No, like I mean, I've heard guys talk about man, they got their foot in the door. They were making no money, struggling.
You know, they're like living in a facility, but it looks like you're always available for guys to get working. But you are available for guys to get working. But it also, you know, the facility is going to be better than your apartment. Anyway, you can have food snacks. So with that being said, I mean, I've heard guys tell me like, hey, man, I don't have no money. But such a said gave me his playoff bonus, which was like $60,000. And that's how I live for the year. So I think sports takes that and it's going to attend. They really, really take advantage of young or old hungry people. And that's what Portland did. And Norrie has what looks like a bad deal. But again, this is first opportunity to be a NBA head coach. I'm sure he believes in himself. And the money is still good, but he just doesn't have a lot of security. Man, he, you want to get four point guards, man, three and a half point guards. Yeah, yeah. Read this one for me.
I don't know if like Mike Hill Brown, perfect for events. He'll play Mike Brown, it's 2026. Ben Simmons doesn't play for that. Did you see Ben Simmons shooting corner three? No, all right. Hold on. Let's get to that. So I saw the video where he made the transition three, right? And then, you know, they were just talking about, oh, yeah, you know, he worked on his jumper. Then I saw the video where he was shooting corner three. So first of all, whoever posted that video of your king's media, they should take your, your credential. All right, you got a snatched home girl. She was over there sizing up the players. Man, what if that were some men? What if that was a VNBA? If that were men talking about Angel Reese, like, man, she's cringed, but she's hot. Right. Man, they do that. And that's about for women too, because there's a lot of women that are trying to get their foot in the dorm sports. Yeah. Then you got the lady with the, you know, the whole situation with the coach. That was at the Titans. It's just a bad look for women.
There's some people that don't think they belong anyway. Yeah. So now you got, and you had the dude in the background sounding like the, I want to say it, but the guy that the women can just talk to about everything. He didn't, he didn't make it. So anyway, back to Ben Simmons. I saw another one where he shot an air ball transition three. Like, stop shooting. The funniest video ever is when he air balled that jumper and Brooklyn outside. When they were like at something like, I don't know, team meet and greet. And he shot an air ball outside. Yeah. His, his form is terrible. It looks worse from that. He's talking about the video when he's in the corner. The last corner. Yeah. Yeah. It was like, less to right. Man, like, he was throwing up the cues or something. There's feet just point the wrong way. You know, I am with feet, man. Your feet bad, NBA. Ben Simmons, man.
Shout out to Ben Simmons, man. Keep getting them checks, big dog. I got a homeboy in this chat. We argued for years about Ben Simmons. He thought Ben was the next coming. And he, and I was a brand of England guy. And he kept calling brand of England Bradsellers. Oh, skip down to this one for me. K. Willie 88, 48, 4, 1. How do you feel about Texas now? The PG is heard. Mikey Lewis. I can see that. Now we got so many to chat. So as Rob looks for that. What's Isaiah Johnson? The Colorado transfer? That's his show. Um, keep it a bean, which, you man. I think Joe Sterling is going to play this year. Hold on, hold on, hold on. K. Willie 88, 41 is your, your profile pictures that Jomerant in the hospital.
I can't tell, man. But I think Joe Sterling's going to play. I, I think Joe Sterling is from, where's he from? He from California. Man, he's, he's cold, right? I wish you would have went to like Santa Clara. Because if he went to Santa Clara, he would have had all reps. But I think he's going to play at Texas. Real sneaky game. And you know, unfortunately for Mikey Lewis, you know, injuries happen. But, you know, that's the opportunity for the next man. But I think Isaiah Johnson, I believe his name, the Colorado transfer, that was his job. To, yeah, to lose anyway. But yeah, man, Texas is going to be interesting to see, like I said, man, see if my, my Josh Smith comparison for Marcus Spears Jr. is true, but they got some titles. I'm out of the Rudy Gay, man. You change it up. I didn't switch it up. I didn't switch it up. He did play like old Rudy Gay for a minute. But old Rudy Gay wasn't the defender that Marcus Spears is.
So that's why to switch it up on you. I think Marcus Spears is better right now than the Marcus Henry, but something about the Marcus Henry, I like long term. I think Spears is very good at a lot of things now, but I think I just think like ultimate ceiling and upside. I just think there's another level that Henry can get to. I feel like Spears is really, really polished right now. Very big one. Interesting to see how many minutes Fylon gets in that Philly Super team. Delaware. Delaware Blue Coast. That's where I started off on 2K. And it stinks, man, because Fylon is, he was one of my guys last year's drafts. He was one of the guys I was like, can you, is someone explained to me why he's not a top 10 pick? He improved and everything that you asked him to improve on. He showed that he was a point guard year one, came back as a sophomore,
the knock on him was he couldn't shoot and he shot the box extremely well. I want to say it was like a 8% jump and was on volume. So he's just in a, he's in a rough situation there. Like, I mean, really rough. Like he's going to need some things that happen for him to be able to get significant minutes, because you got Simon's there. LeBron is the backup point guard. Tyrese is, you can, he can play 40 at night. I mean, you don't want him to. Tyrese is Iron Man out there. Like it's just, then you got to think, all right, cool. If we want to give some developmental minutes to somebody at the point guard, let's just give him a VJ. He's a higher draft pick, you know, you believe he has more upside. Man, but sometimes, man, just, you just end up in a tough spot. And I hope Fylon, you know, it's a good learning experience, you know, brought in all those guys, but man, best of luck trying to crack that rotation,
because they're trying to win. Here's one for you. Benniss, Thurts or Sergio De La Rey at long time. Sergio is in a better spot. There's a, there's a, there's a, there's a clearer pathway to minutes. And that's, that's a lot of monsters just be based on opportunity. If I say something like it starts better, yes. Sergio, man, you know, he, he showed you, he can pass. I still think to handle the little shaky to be honest with you. And, you know, at times, it looked pretty shaky at Somerle. I think it's shaky. He can improve. But again, the pathway to minutes is in Dallas, not in Oklahoma City. You got to beat up. Hop and chill. Yeah, that point guard room in Oklahoma City, you looking like. Dang. But the good thing is, Sturts can play off the ball too. And I, I thought I think Sturts is a combo guard, an NBA and out of point guard. But even still, like, you got this AJ Mitchell.
It's cases. My man just did something with hinge, home where that paints his nails. McCain, Jeremy Kane. Yeah. Yeah, man. It's like Oklahoma City got 19 dudes in the roster. I know. Every year. Yeah. All right. Here's some comments. Toronto has so many dudes with the same physical profile. Yeah. Mike Jones says that DP is definitely better than George. I don't know because if DP has the same numbers that George had last year, it's going to be louder because it's there in Peterson. But can't say George was very good. Well, he has like 25, man. Yeah. Yeah. So he's got a great season. He just the internet. He's a terrible defender. So that's what he's going to have to overcome. He's got, you know, he's got a triple J behind him now. So that's it. Help. You know, I need to see about 10 games.
He is going to take more than 10. He just has just two different darren Peterson. We don't know which one we're going to get. We don't know if he's getting a prolific prep attack to Ram DP. Or we get in the guy that just shot a lot of pull-ups. And I thought in the summer league again, I know he was rusty. You don't want to put too much. So a lot of jumpers. He shot a lot of jumpers in summer league and he was turning the rock over. A lot of foul baiting too. Yeah, he was turning the rock over. And he didn't look like he went into contact in summer, but it's summer league, you know. Yeah, but it's still a little alarming because that's not the guy that everyone felt in love with. Yeah. At the beginning of last year when he was making him jumpers, it was kind of like, oh, man, James is going to be on my head about sharing Peterson. This dude is not, when he was making shots, he was scoring a point to minute. Like that. Like, this stuff wasn't even hitting the net. It was just, he wasn't hitting the rim. Like every shot looked like the rim was just huge.
And then, you know, what happened happened. But if he can combine that, I really, like in high school, when he was at his best, he could, he could always shoot. But he was a slashing. Yeah, he was splitting picking roles. Yeah, we didn't see that at all. And I just hope it's not a situation where the jump shot is so money. Like, he's probably a dude that makes 90% of his shots in workouts. He's probably just an incredible workout guy. I just hope he didn't fall in love with the jumper so much that he becomes predictable. And the explosion wasn't there. Like the same that, like the way he moved in high school was different. But different. Do he shift gears? Did the field catch up to him? Was he bigger, stronger, faster than everybody in high school? That's where we kind of are right now. Crazy. It just happened in one year.
Yeah. Go back to the other question you had throughout five minutes, the expansion. Who do you think goes east after expansion? Memphis or Minnesota? Both. Both. You got to think two teams in. The other team is... But if I'm New Orleans, I'm like, hey, hey, what about us? I mean, if you... Instead of Mississippi River, you know, I'm gonna be like... Yeah, but New Orleans is, I think Minnesota is further east than New Orleans. And Memphis, I mean, Memphis is... They shouldn't even... Already. Yeah, they shouldn't even be in the West. So you think if it's Vegas and I guess Seattle, is it... We know if it for sure if it's gonna be Seattle or another team. Well, if it's Seattle, we know those things about Colorado. I think it's gonna be Memphis and Minnesota. Minneapolis is further west than Memphis and New Orleans. So if I'm New Orleans, I got beef because I'm like... Yeah. I have beef, man.
You have... Why am I... Why does Minnesota go east when... Or when we are further east on the map, like significantly further? If you take the New Orleans and you go straight up... It's right above Memphis. And then St. Louis is more west than New Orleans. Yeah. And then there's... Yeah, it's Minneapolis. So... Yeah. So if I'm the Pelicans, I'm big... I don't know, I guess LeBron. Yeah, I don't know. Traditionally, I guess when you had... Duncan and Durkin, KG and all those guys in the West for so long... That now you just kind of forget like... I think it's a little bit more balanced. But yeah, Pelicans should be in that mix. And nobody's talking about the Pelicans going to the Eastern Conference.
New Orleans is probably what a... Six-hour drive from Atlanta? It's like six from here, isn't it? Yeah, it depends, yeah. Because Jackson Mississippi's six hours. So... Yeah, but yeah, Jay-Jayville says I heard it was the wolves, but it makes sense. But the wolves are further west than two teams. That's true. I thought you know people just don't care about New Orleans. They just... Unfortunately, I need to go to New Orleans. When the League of Justice, the lottery again in 2029, will be your long-term solution. I think removing the lotto entirely is a fix. What is the problem with the lottery? Is it the tanking? What is people's issue? I got a theory that I think would be absolutely fun. People would hate it. Make everybody free agents. That would be... So here's why. Hear me out. Guys would be able to pick the situation based off of opportunity.
So it turns into a situation where every... It would be no different than... Signing Day in College, right? You're like, where can I go? Where I can play. So then it could be a situation where guys are going to be like, man, nobody's in New Orleans right now, but that's an opportunity where I can go and I can go get paid. But their agent is going to be like, no, this is a small market. Your endorsement opportunities are going to be lower because it's New Orleans and all and you could get it like this. If you were to give in Dylan Harper that same option, he wouldn't pick San Antonio, right? Maybe. Or he could say, he could choose. Do I want to go be the man or do I want to go somewhere where I can try to win a championship early? And then I'm going to get paid on the second.
I think it'll never happen. And I get why people think it's a totally stupid idea. But I think it would be fun because it would really make agents and teams work. Teams would have to recruit. It would be like for agency. No, man. I'm good. But now you got to, you have to go to the situation where your agent has to put you in a situation where he thinks that gives you the best opportunity to get a big second contract. No, I'm good on that. I would rather they say, all right, we're going to come together and we'll pick this guy here to skip high school. I'm going to skip college and to have free agency. But ultimately, these dudes are still improving commodities. And I mean, no, I'm not. No, I think the draft is, you know, the last two years with Cooper Flag and this draft here, the taking got crazy. And they fixed it. But what was it taking like in 2024?
Nobody was taking it. It was a bad draft, right? You just, you was bad. You were bad. This year, you know, they changed the rules. If it's tyrants, folks are busts. So I don't think you need to do any cartwheels now. 28 draft, 2029 draft, you know, if the lottery wasn't, you know, fixed. But I mean, here's the thing like bad teams have existed forever. Like I think Tim Duking got to the spurs, man. They were. Yeah, like, yeah, because bad teams are rewarded. I think. But they were. No plan devil's advocate. 40 years ago, they were rewarding good teams. But if you make it here for you, they was keeping the same teams. James worthy was the number one pick. Yeah, that that all that stuff. I think it puts pressure on now you got to be a good front office. You got to, you got to sell a plan.
It's like free agency in a sense. Mike Jones says everyone would go to Miami LA. Yeah, that's what everyone thinks. But if everyone's gone there, then that's not going to be an opportunity for a lot of playing time. You want to go where you can get the best second contract. So let's say it's. Let's say let's say next summer, they do it right. And your tyrant stokes and you got 30 teams. So now you got to look at you. You probably will project teams. Well, not 30 teams. The teams picking in that range of. No, it's all I would leave it open. I'm just playing here all 30 teams, right. And then you say, all right, tyrant stokes are projected top five pick. This is the salary range that he should get. So now you got to figure out which teams have the cap space to fit in. A $60 million contract. So now you say like, all right, the cupboard is bare and sacramental. That's going to give me the best opportunity to shine. Or do you say, oh, no, I think I want to go play with.
I want to go play with the next because I'm a nix fan. And you're aging to lay, well, the nix don't got any money. So now it's kind of like. I mean, they do. Yeah, you got to like turns into like, I just think of me. I just think it will be a unique situation because it. All right, let's say, let's say, who's, all right, let's say, sci-ing Cater, right? And it's day and the rent situation falls apart. Now you like, we trying to push you to Detroit because we know you're going to probably come in and, and, and be the guy. So now I think like bad front offices, now you got to, you know, you can't just say like, the NBA is going to bail us out. And then guys can look at the rosters. Because even now agents are still trying to be strategic lay low, man, there's also as too many guys, I'm not going to send the work out for teams. And yeah, but now it turns into like, you know, agents will really have some power. Now agents really got to show like how good they are. Because you got to try to get your guy in a situation.
I mean, like I said, it'll never happen. But if you do a projection based off of, you know, where guys are projected to go. And then that's their salary range. And now you have to find teams that can fit them in that particular cap space. Read this one for me from Corbin NBA towards the bottom. I'll shut out to Corbin. I think that's Corbin Ford. Yeah, that is Corbin Ford. What up Corbin? What is good gentlemen, big fan here? Question, how many hours of film and draft for do you all consume a day or a week? It depends. It really, it really depends on the situation. Like right now it's kind of light in a sense, because there's no games. This is a vacation. I haven't watched like some of the international guys. I think this year with my newsletter, I'm going to try something different. I mean, someone swaggered Jackson, so sorry. But I want to basically kind of do what NBA scouts do.
You watch guys and then you just give a breakdown on that performance. And then you just build a lot. I did that last year, what you mean? But like every day. So you just run a game by game by game, right? As opposed to I'm a right article. Of course, I'm still do the regular articles and what I see. But if I watch, let's say I'm watching Caleb Holt against North Eastern tech state, then I'm like, hey, this game, he shot the ball extremely well. The handle looked a little loose, but I thought overall he competed. Boom. Few days later, they played BYU. And then just kind of keep it as a library. So that way, if I get up early in the morning, I can just watch those game by game clips. Then I build a library throughout the whole year as opposed to just, you know, I'm going to like, it then like my notes to be like, it will be all in real time in a sense. You can just see like the up and down emotions like, man, I like them. I don't know if I like them that much.
I'm kind of, you know, I don't know. And then at the end of the year, you put it all together and then you feel like you have a real like feel as opposed to like, you know, like just, I don't know. I'm just trying to do something different right now. I'm just trying to be creative. So what I'm going to do is I'm covering the WMBA draft this year. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I will. So I'm going to be watching the women's games on top of the men's games. And I mean, thank you only got work, handful international guys. But I try to do it. I try to give guys five games, like cover five games at a time. So now five games at time, but like, I get on and I watch clips from five games and say during this stretch here, they did this now in men's because I was basketball. Really, when they're playing, you know, these directional schools, I'm not doing car wheels
over that stuff. Because you know, the first time seeing them. So there's a level of like, I've been talking about this, especially for us. I've been talking about this dude all summer when nobody's paying attention and we just creating content out of nothing. You know, like, but I'm saying, I can't wait to see him against someone. Somebody else. Well, yeah, no. So like when, not a friend. So Darren Peterson, right? They played Louisville last year. That was a big game. It was a scrimmage, but that was a big game. Then they played Green Bay. I'm not paying attention to him beat up on Green Bay. Like, everything works against Green Bay. No disrespect. But I try to focus as much from the big games, but when they have these stretches of games where they're not playing anybody, it's like, all right, cool. I'm still watching. But it's like, I need to, I try to watch during the season. One game is entirety throughout every day. So you know, I'm watching a game and then that game is over.
I mean, for two games, cool, wake up in the morning and then I try to get caught up on what I didn't see. You know, we have access to stuff where, you know, you can watch a clip by clip or you can just sometimes I might watch a game on one and a half X. It's on YouTube stuff like that. But yeah, it's just trying to be strategic and map out stuff and saying, all right, you know, I'll watch this game here, this game here. If it's a big time match, I'm obviously I'm going to try to watch that. But you know, if we play in, you know, the Vry, nah, I'm good. I can catch up on the Vry highlight. Just just me. I watched those games. Yeah, I'm not learning nothing from you beating up on the Vry. I think you can. You can teach me, Ralph. When am I learning this? So you can see how a guy does he get up for every game? Like if he's coasting because I we, you know, it's supposed to win, then you got to wonder like, all right, is he a guy if he's your best player in the NBA, is he going to take
nights off when the season gets long because, oh man, we're playing this team next tank and we're supposed to win. I want to see if the guy is like, even like is he a dog? Is he a killer all the way through? No matter who they're playing, or is he someone that's just like, yeah, I'm going to take my foot off the gas because we're playing sections of school. Or is he a guy that's kind of like, all right, we're playing his bad school. I want to impose my will early. I want to let them know I am who I am. So I'm going to try to kill them, get them 30 in the first half and then take my foot off the gas. It's just little things like that. But the talent gap on the night tonight, bases in the NBA is nothing like the talent gap when you depend on how good you are. No, if AJ is as good as people think he is, right? And he's constantly like, man, I saw AJ lose the Colorado, bro. Right. But I'm saying he's constantly taking his foot off the gas again. I think about this in the NBA, you have guys that play better on national TV games.
That means they're coasting. Yeah, but the worst team in the NBA still has a guy that can get 30. No, that's true. But if the team is that good, the teams, these, these bygames, I'm not learning anything. Me person, I'm not learning anything from a buy a, I get, I get what you're saying. Like, just get it for the games. But bygames in the lottery. Who? Say what? Bygames got Yegor in the lottery. And guess what? Those bygames didn't teach me anything about it. Because when conference play came, he was posted up from the Frito line. The other three thought. Already there. I mean, physical tools and the talent is obvious. But those bygames, that buzz, he wrote that momentum and that buzz. There were times where they weren't even letting him bring the ball up court and conference play. Yeah, maybe the injury has something to do with it. So you can't tell me those bygames don't have that. But here's the thing. And on the other end of that conference play told you everything that you need to know
what I need to know about. As far as Jack or Chownis, not a point guard in the NBA. Like once we get the scouter report on you and athleticism jumps, athleticism jumps up a notch. And I mean, this is not me saying I don't watch non-conference games. I watch them. I'm just like, OK, yeah, all right. I see what that is. But conference play, these big non-conference games. That's when I'm like, all right, I need to watch the BYU Yukon game. Yeah. Because that lets you know what I need to know about AJ versus him beating up on Seattle and he had a triple double in the first half. Like, man, he called. I'm not beat up. Nothing to learn from that. Beat up who's in your way. Because now these these these deals is old at these schools like that. They're not young. That's true. All right, real quick. Let's get into Border League preview. Who do you want to see in Border League? Jan Shariff.
I mean, you know, I'm first team all back on black. You know, they got a game against the Marcus Henry. So he got a game against the Marcus Henry. Sunday, I believe. Young Shola, quality gyre. And they I think they play Sierra Canyon and he plays Fear of God. He's a sophomore. He'll be planning it some seniors. He's really good isolation score. I think that'd be a big big big weekend for him as far as like his stock. Who else? Yeah, man. Family's planning it right? Who? Faith family. Faith family dynamic prep, you know, again, I'm big Benji believer. I mean, I think this this year's high school basketball is this is when you know, my man Mike Jones like, oh man, this draft is a weak man like this this worldly compared to last year. I mean, it should be much better. I mean, you know, like Adonis Ratley got off last year, but I'm not the biggest Adonis
Ratley fan. So. I got a statement I want to make speaking of Yaka Jonas. He might be Rob Dillingham next year. No, I don't think so. Is he going to play this year? No, but somebody I give him a chance because he's still six five six six. Yeah, they're going to automatically write a chance. I mean, there's three there's three teams. Yeah, that's true. Devin Carter. I told you Devin Carter chain was fake. That you never Carter is on a two way. So I think Yaka Jonas is a guy that is is just new class coming in. There's a lot of combo guards that play that same position. I think he's going to be out. Man, I'm nice. Man, if I'm an agent, man, we're not going to be walking. I know, but that's but again, that goes to like what I'm saying about if you made the draft open, teams could be like, there's no way for my guy to get playing time there.
So I'm not sending him there. The walking. I'm not sending my guy. Yeah, came to it. So I'm not I'm not going to it. If I'm a big, I'm not going to Dallas right now. I'm like, the team has to sell me on their plan. I mean, they may lie, but you can't tell me you got four centers on the roster and you're recruiting me. Man, I'm going to be on a Dallas. Cause they're all hurt. Yeah, for that right now. That's what? Where is Dances hurt right now? Yeah, I don't understand how guys are hurt when you see these reports that guys are limited in training camp practice. See me Dallas. All right. Let's see, not sure if you guys got to the OTE part, but whatever happened to that cry, baby. Oh, man. He said that Jay Jiro said that not probably. Yeah. I did not say that. So if you're listening Jay Jiro, five, oh, five, nine car, you know what I will say, like when I watch that first season, I want to be careful with my words.
You could tell the guy had some maturity issues, but I thought it was pretty bogus of OTE to not edit that out. Cause it just makes him look bad. Like forever, that's going to be on there. But that's what we like in content. You take his worse moments and he was a teenager and that's going to follow him for a while. Like, and maybe he has grown up, maybe he hasn't. But I think when it comes to kids and they're trying to go pro, I know content thrives off controversy and you got to have like this, this bad seed or whatever, but like, and I love content and I produce content. But I'm always going to try to like protect the kids. It is one thing if I'm saying, if I'm being critical or somebody else being critical, but it's another thing if you're just allowing the kids worse moments and you're just posting it and not everybody's going to think of that kid the same way.
Hey, man. You know how I'm going to write? You remember last chance you that light skin quarterback, Malik, whatever his name was. Yeah, man. They had him look like he was the spawn of Satan, man. He was such a terrible kid on that show. And I don't know if that's who he really is. But if I ever saw him, I would think he's the worst kid ever. It's a high they portrayed. Yeah. And I mean, like again, he did it to himself. Oh, for sure. It's just one of those things with content. You got to have that type of negativity because that's what people want to see. Like, you know, last chance you it was great content. I love the first ones, but it was just like, you got to have the angry, nothing like the coaches that you highlight over and over again because that's what people want to see. So, but I don't know what happened to them. Didn't you go to Auburn? I want to say. I want to say, though, he originally committed to Auburn.
It's fresh beer Auburn. You play six games at Utah. I have no clue where he's at right now. Yeah. So, maybe the stuff caught up with him. Mashat out there, everybody in the chat. 339 watching late.
